- 1:03and also Robert who sent along donations will send access to our premium site with
- 1:11which we do with all our nations of seven dollars or more. Well,
- 1:15now it's time to get into today's episode of Yours truly Johnny Dollar. And
- 1:21this is actually the last one we have with John London it and I should
- 1:26say for now I hope that we'll eventually get to hear some of these lost
- 1:34episodes. But here now. From August the third, nineteen fifty four is
- 1:42the Hampton line manner. Ron Lund as Johnny Dollars, Jack and Johnny an
- 1:51easy time any money on this one. All we have to do is Planta
- 1:55su Saint Maury and sit around looking important while the coach does all the work.
- 2:00Work on what my father nam can Richard set off a farmer in an
- 2:04ore boat. The Hampton Queen damage is amount to some fifty six thousand dollars.
- 2:09We're coming to Hampton shipping lines on her well. The coast guards handling
- 2:14him. What do you want me there for? That's a formality, which
- 2:17is its appeared after the explosion for me quite that time before the coast guards
- 2:22picked him up. Won't I think we used to do a real snap.
- 2:25Yeah, I've heard that before, but somehow it never turns out that way.
- 2:35At this point in our program, I like to give you something to
- 2:38think about. Probably one of the most quoted Americans in our nation's history is
- 2:45Benjamin Franklin. It was Franklin who said, early to bed, early to
- 2:50rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise, and never leave that
- 2:57till tomorrow, which you can do today. And of course the Lord helps
- 3:01them that help themselves. But probably one of his most familiar quotations is there
- 3:08are only two things in life, of which we may be certain, death
- 3:14and taxes. Of course, what bothers most of our taxpayers is that death
- 3:20and taxes don't come in that order. But seriously, one of the biggest
- 3:24jobs handled by the Secretary of the Treasury is the collection of taxes, our
- 3:30government's main source of income. The government raises money through the Bureau of Internal
- 3:35Revenue, which collects income taxes, excise taxes, amusement taxes, and other
- 3:40federal taxes. The bill also checks to see that you haven't paid too little,
- 3:46and believe it or not, that you haven't paid too much. Another
- 3:52way the government raises money is through the Bull of custom which levies taxes on
- 3:57imports which are sent here from foreign come race. But all the older Treasury
- 4:01dement collects the money. It is Congress, the men we send to Washington
- 4:06who actually says who will pay taxes and how much? And that's one thing
- 4:13from which none of us can escape. Expense accounts submitted by a special investigator,
- 4:30Johnny Donner, to the Home Office Worldwide Maritime Insurance Company, Hartford,
- 4:33Connecticut. The following is the accounting of expenditures during my investigation of the Hampton
- 4:40Line matter. Expense accout adam one fifty six dollars and thirty cents air fair
- 4:48and incident. Who's between Hartford and Sue Saint Marie Michigan, my Coastguard contact
- 4:55was a Commander Winners. After checking in at the six Hotel, I made
- 4:58my way to Coast Guard head quarters the meeting. I'm glad to have your
- 5:02boarder. Listen, mister Dollar. Not a hand is always welcome here.
- 5:05Well, thanks, Commander, but I have no intention of stepping out official,
- 5:10so not a chance. We're happy to have any assistance. Have you
- 5:14been briefed on the situation? Well, I understand a Carl Richard seems to
- 5:16be the number one suspect. Also part of the evidence seems to point that
- 5:20way. Richards operates the supply and trading boat on the lakes. Yesterday,
- 5:25at about thirteen hundred, he contacted the Hampton Queen your lookout point. Ten
- 5:29minutes Appera shoved off the explosion took place. Anything unusual about the manner of
- 5:32contact, Yes, don't go a boats stop for nothing. So the supplies
- 5:36usually pulled aboard by the line. It's two boats proceeded breast. So how
- 5:40much it's came up the Jacob's ladder himself? Any particular reason why, Captain
- 5:44Porgison, the Queen couldn't give us any said, Richard spoke to him briefly
- 5:47went below decks for maybe five minutes, came up again and went over the
- 5:50side, and the explosion took place below deck. Yes, and the utility
- 5:55compartment just about the engine room. It w who's bring any package aboard that
- 5:59might have held exposes? Captain Jargerson didn't notice any. Richards was wearing a
- 6:02grapecoat with if bulky might have had something underneath it, anything else to connect
- 6:08him with these folks. One of the engine room hands saw him in that
- 6:11utility compartment. Nobody else was noticed down there. Then, of course there's
- 6:15this disparent what's developed by that committee. And after the supply boat shoved off
- 6:19McClean, it made no further contact. But it didn't pull into the dots
- 6:23until twenty three hundred last night, when it did. Richards was not a
- 6:27board or who got the boat in the daughter elso she operated the boat with
- 6:31him. She claims she didn't know how her father got out of the boat,
- 6:34where he got out of where he is right now, and she defies
- 6:39us to bring some kind of charge again to very interesting demand. But so
- 6:45far there's one big haul right in the middle of the picturing as I know
- 6:48motive. Is there any not that we can find Richards is operator that's supply
- 6:54boat over twenty years and an honest, bill abiding citizen with an excellent reputation.
- 6:59Haven't found one person he's got a bad word to say, capting he
- 7:01did set explosion. The big question is why, Yeah, when I've got
- 7:06a hunch, I'm going to earn my money getting the answer. The Menchard
- 7:15supply boat was a powerfully build all weather water button about sixty five feet in
- 7:20length, tied up at a private dock not too far from the coast Guard
- 7:25station. The deck was scratted with miscellaneous crates and cartons that seemed to contain
- 7:30everything from clean laundry, oranges and saxon cement through the bouquets of fresh flower.
- 7:38I couldn't see anyone around, so I hopped aboard and had toward the
- 7:41small cabin a poller before I reached it. However, the cabin go open.
- 7:47Yes, what is it? Are you? Miss Richard Bay? For
- 7:54you? My name is Johnny Dollar. I had nothing to say to you,
- 7:58the Dollar. Well, how do you know? I haven't told you
- 8:01what I'm here for yet. It's about my father and the Hampton Queen is
- 8:03miss It's got something to do with that, Yes, and I've nothing to
- 8:07say the truth, never heard an innocent man. You're not interested in the
- 8:11truth. You've got a job to do. Get the man who tried to
- 8:16blow up the Hampton Queens. Now, I have got work to do,
- 8:18mister dollar. If you're all through wasting our time before you shove off,
- 8:22Oh that sounds like as good as I hear. Is any You carry quite
- 8:28a mixed cargo, don't you, Miss Richards. Sailors on oil boats don't
- 8:33have much chance to get ashore. I need a lot of things. Yeah,
- 8:35I suppose, But I was wondering about that crate over there on the
- 8:41Starbard side. What about it? What with the sailor on an oil boat
- 8:46one with blasting about expensive count item too? Suddenly five cents cab bead at
- 8:58the shore of you hotel. I found Captain Carginson on the hotel Veranda,
- 9:03looking out over the endless parade of boats flowing their way up and down the
- 9:07lakes. I don't know what you're coming on asking me question for me to
- 9:11die. I don't know where Carl Richard's is. Oh the explosion took place
- 9:16on your boat. Captain Richards was aboard some ten minutes before the blast went
- 9:22off. So well, I thought you might be able to give me some
- 9:24idea why he did it? Who said he did? You don't think so?
- 9:30I know he did? Why not? That's Robert McNally downbound signaling for
- 9:37the locks. Eighteen minutes fleet this trip. He gets to saving in a
- 9:43Davis lock. He said, the mc McNally's going to be happening. Yeah,
- 9:46why is that? The mcgarts are empties in ten minutes. I has
- 9:50to get away. I see we were talking about Carl Richard in twenty five
- 9:56years now. No, the man inside now didn't do it? And why
- 10:01did he come aboard? The handsome queen didn't say any idea why he went
- 10:05below deck seam as the media be curious. Figure, man's business is his
- 10:11own TOI, he decides to share you with someone else, that's all you've
- 10:16got to say. Well, you might think about a couple of things.
- 10:20Oh be glad to The blast went off in an empty storage compartment, bugold,
- 10:26A few plates spoke. Some oil line's gonna tie us up and dry
- 10:30dock for maybe the one ten days. Somebody wanted to do some real damage.
- 10:35The engine rooms only step away could have knocked out the whole bank of
- 10:39the deal with the same plowder something think about dolla? Yeah, what was
- 10:46the other thing? Col Riches came to the Sioue twenty five years ago,
- 10:50man started this suppliable business to raise the family. All that time, he
- 10:58never said a bad word again. Anybody never cheated. The man, not
- 11:01Penny, lived a sober, industrious life. What could a man like that
- 11:07set off a charge of powder aboard a noble for I'll tray. One of
- 11:13my questions for yours, captain, is why did he disappear? I spent
- 11:24the rest of the afternoon talking to neighbors, dark hands, sailors, and
- 11:28canal workers. Everyone agreed with Captain Parkinson's opinion of car Wichard, and outside
- 11:33of that, I came up with nothing. By the time I got back
- 11:43to Coast Guard headquarters it was getting dark. Commander Winners was still on duty.
- 11:46I'll you been making out with the dollar. Well, I'm beginning to
- 11:50feel less like an investigator and more like a persecutor. With everybody stop.
- 11:54I made commander so no couldn't ask for a final reputation, and Richards has
- 11:58had in the suit past twenty five years. But then our job is not
- 12:03to judge him, just to apprehend him. Yeah, anything new at this
- 12:07him? Not a thing? Still most twice of them. What's else?
- 12:09So Richard's been doing? Got the supply boat opposite afternoon, made a number
- 12:13of routine contacts with all boats. Got back to the dots about half an
- 12:16hour ago. Nothing suspicious, are untoward about any of'em. That's a big
- 12:20help. Now, come in, commander from our station at three Harbors Mark
- 12:26daging, sir, thanks daking. Well, I'll leave you to here duties,
- 12:30Commander. They just murmbers selling all the seaplanestim about to take offenses,
- 12:33Hi, sir, you gott apply to three Harbors with me, galand what's
- 12:37up, Commander. One of the Hampton boat gods called a man trying to
- 12:41sneak aboard. There was a gunfight and the man was killed. I don't
- 12:43suppose they identified him as Carl Richard. They did. Yeah, I'll fly
- 12:48up with you, commander. Our first stop was the Richard supply boat.
- 12:58We picked up, el said, and we got to the Coast Guard landing
- 13:03docks. The four place seaplane was ready and we took off for Three Harbors,
- 13:07Minnesota. Elsa didn't speak during the flight and showed no emotional reaction when
- 13:13we put down at the Hampton Lion Docks and made our way to the Guard
- 13:16office. Manta Winners, that's right. I'm Bill Faser com Manda, the
- 13:31guard who shot that suspect earlier this seven I got to know mister President.
- 13:33This miss Richards Donna. Oh, I am Miss Faser Dollar. Sorry,
- 13:37we had a meet out of these circumstances of Riches d Mister Faber, we
- 13:43have a day m back here, get here, Miss Sischers, do you
- 13:48mind if I go in alone? Curse? Yes, real rough, I
- 13:56wasn't expecting of running at the Richards daughter. You made a positive identification.
- 14:01Yeah, I got his wallet and the best over here as the usual identification
- 14:09cars and a driver's license the rest of them. What were the second stances
- 14:13of mister President. Well, I was standing the night watch when I saw
- 14:16this dingy trying to sneak in under the stern. I hailed it and got
- 14:20a shot and returned from my troubles, fired back, got a lucky hit.
- 14:24Any explosive in the thinking blasting powder. When I saw that, I
- 14:28thought of Carl Richards. When I got him ashore, we found the proof.
- 14:33Uh, huh, Well, it seems to TuS went up, mister
- 14:35Donner. We may never know why Richards was doing it, but there's no
- 14:37doubt now that he was. It looks like it. Commander that mean him
- 14:43have some reservations now, and not particularly, I'm just wondering why he was
- 14:48up here in three Harvards, well outside of the Sioux. It's the closest
- 14:52point of the Canadian border. Might have been intending the head there after he
- 14:54got through. Oh excuse me after line? Oh yes, please please man,
- 15:03thanks madam? Is where did it happen? Okay, sign the cutter
- 15:15rap will be there as quickly as possible. You're not through any gain money
- 15:18yet, teller. More trouble, yes, one of the hand the boats.
- 15:22Another explosion below decks, and now of our star John Lund, we
- 15:50bring to the second act of yours, truly, Johnny Darwin. It took
- 16:10us approximately two hours to make it to prezi Anne Island in the Hampton boat
- 16:14to James Kay. He was limping along in about three knots and we had
- 16:18no trouble putting down alongside and getting a boart for James k Skipper Captain Hartzell
- 16:26took us below decks for a look at the damage. It's where the class
- 16:29play off. Most of the damage can find between need folk kids, somewhat's
- 16:33coming in with from seven enythings grow. We'll make the sue without any trouble.
- 16:37Engine rooms right over there. That's right, This is just an auxiliary
- 16:42completement. There's no question about the set up being identical to the Hampton Queen.
- 16:48Yeah. One of these pipes up here auxiliary fuel and water. So
- 17:00the blast came from inside. Do you think the explosive was inside that front?
- 17:06I'd say it's a good possibility. Sam Tyler ever comes around, he'll
- 17:10be able to tell us able seaman who was in here when the blast took
- 17:15place. He cut her, took him to the hospital at the Sioux.
- 17:19He bothered her pretty bad. Anything else you want to know, I've got
- 17:23to take over the bridge to get into the lots pretty soon. About a
- 17:27dollar, I can't think of the thinking. It was two in the morning
- 17:40when we got back to Sis Saint Marie. The hospital told us that the
- 17:44seamen, Sam Tyler, was still unconscious and in critical condition. I figured
- 17:48I'd done enough to earn my keep for one day, so I went back
- 17:52to the hotel and turned in expense a gun atom three one dollar country style
- 18:03breakfast at the Sioux Hotel cafe. After my third cup of coffee, I
- 18:08put a call through the commander of Winters at Coast Guard Headquarters. Well,
- 18:12we just got a report that they finished these inquest three harbors. Didn't take
- 18:17them long, did it? But it was just a marble homicide. As
- 18:21Richard set the services for this afternoon, we may have to disappoint it.
- 18:25Why is that I don't like that rush in quest commander? Suppose we see
- 18:30what an autopsy said and has to say. I spent the rest of the
- 18:38morning going over the Richard supply boat. I didn't know what I'd hoped to
- 18:42find, so when I finished, I wasn't disappointed. There was nothing aboard
- 18:48that clarified a thing for me. Back at the hotel, I found a
- 18:55message to call Jack Loring in Hartford. I put the call through, Say
- 19:03what's going on there, Johnny? You're falling asleep on the job. It
- 19:07wouldn't have thought so too this morning and this morning I'm worried about. We've
- 19:11got a report that another the Hampton boat is dammy. You got it straight,
- 19:15Jack fully smoke, Johnny, we sent John had to do a job?
- 19:19Oh? Is that so? I thought it was just a formalogy while
- 19:23the coast Guard did all the work. Never mind that, Let's get some
- 19:26actions. You can't stand any more of these claims filing up? Oh,
- 19:30I had the Hampton line hie up, all the ships at the dock.
- 19:33Can't take a chance on any more of these things happening. Well, cancel
- 19:37your order, Jack, What do you mean canceling? What difference does it
- 19:41make a noose ships are tied up or saving the lake? I don't know
- 19:45yet, but it may, and I hope I'm going to find out within
- 19:48twenty four hours. Now, you're canceling, okay, John? Twenty four
- 19:53hours? One minute more. Another call of the Sioux hospital brought the same
- 20:06information as before. Sam Tyler was still unconscious, his condition unchanged. A
- 20:11call the Commander Winners got me equally as fire. They had no report on
- 20:15the autopsy and nothing else had turned up. I went down to the dry
- 20:26dock where they had the James K into repairs and contacted Captain Hutzell. H
- 20:33Richards hadn't been aboard the James K for close to three weeks. Made the
- 20:37downbound run the erie time it came back loaded up and hit it towards the
- 20:41Sioux again. It must have been at least three weeks. You didn't see
- 20:47Elsa Richards either or sup flyboard usually contact such a look out point on the
- 20:52downbound run. We hadn't reached there when that thing blew up below decks.
- 20:57Uh huh. You have to turn in a checklist of all men aboard for
- 21:02the Union, don't you, Captain? Yeah, that's right, mind if
- 21:04I have a copy of it, Oh glad to don't see what you're gonna
- 21:08get out of it, though I'm not sure I do really. I made
- 21:22my way next to the Hampton Queen to get a similar list from Captain Carginson.
- 21:26He wasn't around, but his first mate supplied me with one look about
- 21:30ten minutes to compare them, find what I was looking for and take the
- 21:34information over the commander windows. Is that why you brought me to check off
- 21:38sheets? Donner? So looks point any similarity of the personnel that's right commanded
- 21:45as far as I can see there this medache unless you're talking about their business
- 21:48of the cargo supers with their different names. Yeah, I have it on
- 21:51both boats, the man who's signed on is listed as substitute or replacement.
- 21:56Do you think that's smaller than mere coincidence? Well, if it's coincidence,
- 22:00one too many for me, what do you mean? The man who originally
- 22:03signed on and then was replaced on both boats was Bill Fraser? Get me
- 22:11our station at three Harbors. Took about a half hour for three Harbors to
- 22:21come back with a requested information. It's applied us with more information than we
- 22:26gathered in all the hours since I first hit the Sioud. Ay, you
- 22:30were right about the autopsy dollar Carl Richards died from drowning, not from gunshot
- 22:33wounds. They were puired after that. What about Elsa? She charted a
- 22:37private plane right after autopsy request came in and took off for the Sioux and
- 22:41Bill Fraser His replacement of a Hampton queen was involuntary and he asked for a
- 22:45relief of Judy to serve as God. When the James k shoved off?
- 22:48Have they put him under arrest? We were a little late. Yeah,
- 22:52Like then, it seems as testimony for the inquest was taken through deposition.
- 22:56He sailed aboard the Agnes Hampton at twenty one hundred. Last night, we
- 23:03started to move fast, heading for the Richard supply boat and Elsa Richards.
- 23:07We learned she choved off and headed out into Lake Superior two hours before.
- 23:17Twenty minutes later we were in the coast Guard plane heading out after. It
- 23:22looks like it'll be a close one dollar. You better make it commanded,
- 23:26or you think it will happen to you. Don't. She'll make contact Prazer,
- 23:30he'll get a board, and they'll be off for Canada. Where'd you
- 23:33get the hunch dollar? The booby traps tipped me off commander away. Those
- 23:38auxiliary oil pipes excluded from the moon side. There had to be some reason
- 23:44for it. I supposed to make sense. Prazer was bringing in contraband from
- 23:48Canada. Can see what those oil lines? The booby trap chimmick was perfect.
- 23:52Anybody got suspicious and try to investigate, the evidence was destroyed. Yeah,
- 23:57and the supply boat made the perfect tire. One contact each down bound
- 24:03trip is all they needed. Do you think Carl wasn't on it all?
- 24:07I got it. I think he was trying to cover up for his daughter.
- 24:11Probably said it to lay the fuse aboard the queen to destroyed the evidence,
- 24:15and then she and Fraser and nice people. We bought at the agnes
- 24:26Hampton without sighting else or the supply. I told his Frasier was still aboard,
- 24:33and two minutes later we were in the companion way leading to the storage.
- 24:36Can part him beside the engine room? See him bother now around the
- 24:51corner of the both about Jack. It's no good, Frasier. You better
- 25:00come out, either you've come on or we'll come in off for you.
- 25:06But I'll make it easy on yourself. You'll pick the black whit pleaser.
- 25:15The chargers aren't thinking of I got a real charge. I think it's something
- 25:23like this might happen, and I'm thinking, no shit, you'll think he's
- 25:29blacking. I don't know. Do you think I kid come on out here
- 25:33and try to take me. I want it to be spons go on a
- 25:37day. Why don't we doing pleasure? You can't get off the phone with
- 25:41that stuff? Here A fang all, yeah, that's what I've got right
- 25:49here. I can attach bull fence of his pipe, take this most of
- 25:55the other stuff and walk off this phone paling of in my as anybody tries
- 26:00to stop the Elogi all the street looks like he's got a stunning Oh maybe
- 26:07not this boats like the James k and the Queen, he can't reach the
- 26:12unsili are your pikes and where you standing in order to get them? Men
- 26:15exploring himself, it'll only be for a fraction of a second, or maybe
- 26:18that'll be long enough. Are you talking? I'm gonna end you my way
- 26:22up and kind of take you can't shoot doll rick or shaker send it off?
- 26:26Yeah, I thought of that. What are you guys churning about?
- 26:30You got enough to talk over. There's only one place for you to goal,
- 26:36and that's the top day. We still think you might be bluffing placehood,
- 26:41Go ahead, prove it. Come on in here, see what's gonna
- 26:45happen. Hello, as he was gone, here was the supply b Yet
- 26:52you may never get here about things you might be playing at stay heading for
- 26:57the Canada by herself. That's not allowsy bluff. Commander, Well the stuff
- 27:03we got here, she's not gonna take any run off corner of the She
- 27:07know she won dollar you all that? Don Yeah? Yeah, fine,
- 27:18commander that this is a nicely done commendations. I have a heard one gets
- 27:23one just in time. That's the trouble I didn't fun he got to the
- 27:30play before I reached him. Pretty lucky it turned out to be it done.
- 27:51Expensive count adom four thirty nine dollars and forty cents. I'll tell down
- 27:53in miscellaneous expensive count Atom five sixty one dollar and ten cents. Airfare back
- 27:59to Hotfit expense account total one hundred and fifty eight dollars and fifty five cents
- 28:04remarks. As it turned out, Elsa Richard's head run out on Frasier.
- 28:10The Canadian authorities picked her up six hours after she landed. He's already waived
- 28:15exhibitions and is heading towards the Sioux in custody. Yes, sorry, Johnny
- 28:22Dalla. You know many great men attained the highest office in our land,
- 28:44the presidency of the United States. Can you guess the name of this man?
- 28:48During the Black Hawk War in eighteen thirty two, he volunteered for service
- 28:52and was made captain of his company. As a member of Congress in eighteen
- 28:56forty seven, he was opposed to the Mexican War. He also opposed the
- 29:02Kansas Nebraska Bill, which favored the extension of slavery. During this time,
- 29:07he was offered the governorship of the Oregon Territory, but refused it. Over
- 29:11six feet tall and not particularly good looking, he was known for his goal
- 29:17sense of humor. If you don't have his name by now, here's an
- 29:21important clue. His unexpected acceptance of an invitation to attend the dedication of a
- 29:26soldiers cemetery was responsible for one of the greatest speeches in our history. Who

- 31:11been a presentation of the United States Armed Forces radio and television service Welcome Back.
- 32:36Well, It's a good thing. That that bomb turned out to be
- 32:38a dud or John Lund's time as Yours Truly Johnny Dowler would have ended with
- 32:45him going out with a bang, quite literally decent program. This was,
- 32:52I should say binomic means the last episode of Yours Truly Johnny Dler that lun
- 32:58did. It's just the last and exstance. After this episode, there was
- 33:01the Sarah Martin Mack matter, the Hamilton payroll matter, the Great Bass Mack
- 33:07race matter, and the up John matter. And after that, Johnny Doller
- 33:14would leave the air for more than a year and we will, but actually
- 33:22having the show come back came under consideration from CBS, and we'll tell you
- 33:28all about that story next week as we hear the Gerald Moore audition, and
- 33:35then we're going to get into in subsequent weeks the Yours Truly Johnny Doller five
- 33:40parters. We turned out a listener comments and feedback and on iTunes. John
- 33:49three eighteen riots. I've been listening for a long time and I really appreciate
- 33:52the time and effort you give to each podcast. I would love to hear
- 33:57you do. I was a communist for the FBI, but that doesn't seem
- 34:00like a show for this podcast. Keep up the great work. I really
- 34:04enjoy listening. Thanks thanks so much, And that is definitely a program that
- 34:12I would enjoy doing, even though, like you said, doesn't quite fit
- 34:19on this podcast. It's actually interesting, you know, as I've listened to
- 34:28some of these episodes, how much Sabetic is portrayed as being under suspicion it
- 34:38and somehow or another able to slip out time and time. Again, definitely
- 34:44one of the more interesting shows out there. Some other some other comments from
- 34:54on the app actually on iTunes. Donald mc says I love the old radio
- 35:00detective shows and this app has them all. And David says, this app
- 35:06is great. I've had it quite some time and I love all the detective
- 35:08shows on it Great job, Adam, and we have not all positive reviews.
- 35:16See you right, first time listening. This is regarding the app on
- 35:22the Amazon Store, there were pleads for donation. I already bought the app,
- 35:30major failed. Just play the radio shows and don't try to believe me
- 35:35anymore, especially a paying customer. Pass on this one. Sorry, I
- 35:39wasted the money, even if it was only a dollar ninety nine. Well,
- 35:45like I said, I think that was definitely unfortunate. Of course,
- 35:50we only do the listener support campaigns twice twice a year, for a total
- 35:58of six weeks. Sorry that sorry that experience was taken that way, but
- 36:10but that's the way that podcast apps work. Finally, we have this review
- 36:16of the app from Jody, also on the Amazon App. This is a
- 36:21wonderful collection of great old time radio shows. Can't be the price for downloads
- 36:25or the number of shows received. Well, Thanks so much, Jody.
- 36:30I appreciate it, and we welcome your reviews, particularly if you enjoy the
- 36:35show. Ratings on iTunes are great for both the app and for the program
- 36:42itself, and you don't have to leave any specific feedback and that will actually
- 36:49do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with the lineup, and then
- 36:52join us back here next Friday for Gerald Moore's audition in Yours truly, Johnny
- 36:59Doller. In the meantime, send your comments to Box thirteen at Great Detectors
