CXC is ditching the old take-home SBAs for most subjects to fight AI cheating, replacing them with supervised Paper 032 exams where students get topics ahead of time and can bring notes—keeping the rigor while ensuring original work. Practical subjects like Art and Agriculture stay unchanged. The move, backed by 77% of educators, kicks off with CAPE in 2027 and gives CSEC students a choice in 2027 before full rollout in 2028.
