- 0:51A Hey, y'all, welcome today's show. Today we're going to get into
- 1:03the fore most important tenets of our faith. I don't know it was tenant
- 1:08the right word. Professions of our faith certainly the thing by which we identify
- 1:14ourselves, the things by which we define our beliefs. And it will be
- 1:21Father Spirago's exposition. I think it'll be a nice word exposition on the apostles
- 1:26Creed. So look forward to that, you know. Before we get into
- 1:30that, we'll get a little too from radio replies. And today the questioner
- 1:38asked the priest, can you show from scripture that Christ intended this perfect development
- 1:44of the Mosaic religion to be distinct from the religion of the Synagogue. This
- 1:49is a very controversial topic of our time, especially the Torah observant so called
- 1:57Christians Seven Day advis Venice, a few others, a lot of like the
- 2:04polygamous groups and such, believe that all Christianity that doesn't observe the Torah law
- 2:13is we're all Satan worshipers, from the Catholic Church to the Anglican and Methodists
- 2:19and Lutheran all of us. Because they believe that Judaism can be somehow mixed
- 2:28with Christianity. There's a whole group of people who call themselves Messianic Jews.
- 2:35Let me tell you my Jewish friends do not like them at all. There's
- 2:38a big distinction between Judaism and Christianity, even though we have similar roots,
- 2:44just as much as there is between Islam and Christianity. Yeah, we have
- 2:49similar roots. I've been a real nice fellow just a few days ago at
- 2:53the grocery store. Where was he from Kuwait? Maybe he kind of wearing
- 3:00the pajamas, you know, like they wear in Afghanistan and all that,
- 3:05and so I knew immediately he was Islamic. And we just started chatting while
- 3:09we're waiting in line at the grocery store. And I mean we shook hands,
- 3:15call each other brother. I mean, it was no issue whatsoever,
- 3:19and there need not be there. I mean, you know, we can
- 3:21treat each other with respect. It's just you know, they tend to kind
- 3:24of blow people up and you know, shoot people at But I know,
- 3:29some of the very best people I've ever met have been Muslims. Some of
- 3:34the best people I've ever met have been Jews. But a Jew and a
- 3:37Muslim a Christian are not the same religion, and we really do need to
- 3:40respect that among each other and not try to act like we're, you know,
- 3:47believe the same things because we don't. It's really it's a betrayal of
- 3:52your own religion and an insult to theirs to act like with a universalist mentality
- 4:00Unitarian universalists. You know everybody worships the same god. Well, first of
- 4:05all, not everybody worships the same god. A Hindu and a Christian certainly
- 4:09do not. Hindho has several gods, a Christian has one. A Buddhist
- 4:15may not worship a god at all and still has a valid religion. Yeah,
- 4:21their difference is well, let's see what the priests say. Yes,
- 4:26referring to the future, Christ said, I will build my church. The
- 4:30synagogue was already established. Christ prescribed a new doctrine, new modes of worship,
- 4:35and a new form of authority. He even predicted to his apostles in
- 4:41the synagogue you shall be beaten. The intended distinction of his church from the
- 4:46prefigurative synagogue was most clear. See I don't understand how you toure observant Christians
- 4:53as such can read the New Testament and not understand that Christianity and Judaism a
- 5:00distinctly different religions. I mean, having you know, the Christians the younger
- 5:05brother to the jew That's what the Catechism says. But they are distinctly different
- 5:10religions, different laws, different authority, different teachings, different Sabbath. We
- 5:15go to church on Sunday because it's the day Christ rose from the dead.
- 5:21That is such a so symbolically rich in his establishment of a new man,
- 5:26a new religion, a new church, a new Sabbath. You know,
- 5:30Pope John Paul a Second said, Christians are Sunday people. Christians are Easter
- 5:34people. Easter Sunday. The day that Christ rose from the dead was the
- 5:39demarcation, the defining line between all that had come before. I mean,
- 5:45you know, that was the symbology of the veil being ripped in half in
- 5:47the temple. When our Lord died on the cross he lay in the temple
- 5:51during the Jewish Sabbath. He took upon him the day of rest, the
- 5:58penalty of sin, which was death for all creation, the full force of
- 6:01the law, and on the first day of the week rose again to give
- 6:05us a completely new everything, not just a new religion, a knew everything,
- 6:12a new world, a new universe. A person goes on, in
- 6:17what did the religion of Christ differ from that taught by Moses. In the
- 6:21answer, Christ retained all the basic laws of religion and morality contained in the
- 6:28progressively revealed Jewish preparation, abolishing only the particular rites and ceremonies which were purely,
- 6:34purely figurative, and also the imperfections of religion very important. The early
- 6:40Church fathers say that you know much of the law of Moses, much Leviticus,
- 6:45and such was more like the parables that Jesus was teaching than laws that
- 6:49would be to be interpreted literally. Saint Barnabas and particularly Saint Irenaeus probably maybe
- 6:58even more so, but on great length about how the Jewish dietary laws were
- 7:02symbolic, and circumcision absolutely not necessary, etc. Etc. A person says,
- 7:11if Christianity is the true development of the Jewish religion, why is it
- 7:15not the religion of the Jews today? Why did not the Jews accept Christ?
- 7:17And they say many individuals did. In fact, about half of all
- 7:21Jews became Christian in the first three centuries of their own accord. No enforced
- 7:26them. They recognized that Jesus was the Messiah is the Messiah as a race.
- 7:31The Jews did not. However, this was not because Christ did not
- 7:34sufficiently prove his mission, but because leaders of the religious thought and teachers of
- 7:39the people had lost the true religious spirit, had selfishly transferred their affections to
- 7:45a love of their own high places, and had substituted the idea of a
- 7:50magnificent temporal ruler for the idea of a spiritual savior. They wanted deliverance from
- 7:57the tyranny of the Romans and helped upon them in turn. Since Christ did
- 8:01not fit with their earthly notions and ambitions, their leaders rejected him. The
- 8:07majority of the people, dependent on the scribes, upon the scribes and pharisees
- 8:11for religious direction, obeyed these leaders their own fears and their national pride.
- 8:16The first members of the Christian Church were individual Jews chosen by Christ to spread
- 8:22his doctrines among the gentiles, and this in accordance with Christ's own prediction of
- 8:26the parables of the Great Supper, where the first invited would not come.
- 8:31Indeed, an earlier warning had been given to the Jews their birthright would pass
- 8:35to the Gentiles if they did not overcome their attachment to earthly ideals in the
- 8:39incident of Esau's selling his birthright to Jacob. Although Christianity should be the religion
- 8:46of the Jews, therefore it is not through their own fault as a race,
- 8:50the modern Jew takes his religion for granted without inquiring deeply into the questions
- 8:56some do. Sure, I've also known very, you know, deeply religious
- 9:01Jews who fully believed that Judaism was right and Christianity was not wrong. They're
- 9:09actually very respectful Christianity, and not all are, but my friends were,
- 9:13but they thought that we were just misguided, you know. And then others.
- 9:16I mean, I've told you about an ex girlfriend of mine who desperately
- 9:20wanted to convert to Catholicism, but couldn't face the rejection of her family.
- 9:24They would not accept her becoming Christian. She would literally be like, what's
- 9:31the word? What the homis? Stew of people when they're they won't talk
- 9:37to her, they won't mention her name. They cut her out of all
- 9:39family history. And she couldn't do it. She couldn't lose her brothers or
- 9:43sisters, her friends or parents, her grandparents. You know, you got
- 9:48to understand that that's human. And Jesus foretold that. He said he was
- 9:52be the sword that would divide family members against each other. So I mean,
- 9:56I can't blame her. She just couldn't do it. She loved her
- 10:01family more than her convictions, and I mean, you know, she'll have
- 10:05to answer for that. But certainly probably the hardest choice one could possibly have,
- 10:11other than you know, if you were dividing against your own child,
- 10:15you know, so seriously, I mean, it's a big deal to convert
- 10:18from Judaism to Christianity, and especially Catholicism, because you know, Catholicism is
- 10:26the one that's been around for two thousand years. That's like, I mean,
- 10:28you can some people kind of like a Messianic Jew and they say,
- 10:31well, I think maybe Jesus was the Messiah, but I want to continue
- 10:35my own Jewish tradition that's really actually heretical to both Christianity and Judaism. But
- 10:39they made that compromise to actually become a Catholic. It's a big freaking deal.
- 10:45I mean, it's hard for a Protestant to become Catholic. I can't
- 10:48imagine what it'd be like to be. You know, a Jew from thousands
- 10:54of years of tradition and heritage, and you're just cut off. You're ostracized.
- 11:00I mean, come on, anyway, shunned, that's the world word.
- 11:03So the person continues. God treated the Jews unfairly. It must have
- 11:09been difficult to comprehend the teachings of Christ. He offered them no material benefits,
- 11:13and true Christ did speak imparables. We cannot really blame the Jews of
- 11:18his time for failing to understand his teaching. He was very purposely obtuse,
- 11:24and he said so to the apostles, he said, I'll speak plainly to
- 11:28you, But because they rejected the prophets, I'm just basically talk to them
- 11:31in riddles. So I mean, yeah, he mate it tough on them,
- 11:35definitely. But they make clear God did not treat the Jews unfairly.
- 11:41They had every opportunity given them to recognize the truth. Christ offer them the
- 11:45evidence of many miracles in the material order, and before their eyes. They
- 11:50could not deny these miracles, but in their bad will ascribe them to the
- 11:52devil. They said Jesus was possessed by a demon, and that was the
- 11:56sin against the Holy spirit Romis came to offer eternal spiritual benefits, the only
- 12:03lasting ones, the only ones which the grave cannot take from us. Had
- 12:07he not offered such benefits, the Jews would have been justified in rejecting him.
- 12:13But that he did not offer the material benefits he did not come to
- 12:16give can never justify the Jews and the rejection of him. So we'll pick
- 12:20up some more on that tomorrow, and we'll go ahead and get to Father
- 12:24Spirago because there's several more questions this person has about the relationship between Judaism and
- 12:31Christianity. And it's quite enlightening. As I've said before, Radio Replies as
- 12:37a three book series from nineteen thirty one through about nineteen sixty, and I
- 12:43mean it's just classic apologetics, plain simple, forceful questions and answers that really,
- 12:48you know, if you wanted to be able to defend your faith,
- 12:52and we all need to be able to do so, as Father as Sparaga
- 12:54pointed out last week, really important to read such books. And then you
- 12:58know works by more modern authors Scott Hahn and different ones. There's so many
- 13:01great writers on apologetics these days. And you know my book Confirmation Autobiography of
- 13:07faith isn't half bad either, if I do say so myself. But as
- 13:13pride goes before a fall, and I do not wish to fall, I'll
- 13:18turn back to Father Spiago, who's it Under the topic of the Apostles Creed.
- 13:24Beside the Apostles Creed, which is repeated at baptism, there is also
- 13:28the nice scene creed composed by the Council of Nicea in three twenty five and
- 13:33enlarged at the Council of Constantinople. Modern day Turkey. And what a terrible,
- 13:41terrible fate that is. You know, all those you know, leftists
- 13:45that want to talk about Christians and even Jews as occupiers of Islamic lands.
- 13:50You know, maybe check out the history of Istanbul, Turkey. That's Christian
- 13:56land that was taken by Muslims. And isn't it odd they don't seem outraged
- 14:01about that in the least. And a lot of people killed to this day,
- 14:07a lot of persecution against Christians in Turkey. It's pretty horrible, It's
- 14:11absolutely horrible. It's a Erdigon is a member of the Muslim brotherhood. He's
- 14:16an Islamic fascist, he's a Sharia he would impose Sharia law on everyone.
- 14:24And he's a socialist. But you know what do you expect socialists in America
- 14:30aka Democrats side with radical Muslims in Iran and Turkey and Armenia and many places.
- 14:39Liberalism is a mental disease. I say that liberalism is a mental disease
- 14:46that is suicidal in its nature. The people, the so called enlightened of
- 14:50America want to destroy America and put their own lives in well, they don't
- 14:56care. I mean they abortion, they exterminate their children without a thought.
- 15:01So I mean, yeah, it's a mental disease. It's a mental disorder,
- 15:05and it threatens to destroy civilization itself. I mean Christendom feil essentially due
- 15:16to the ideas we now call liberalism. Whether it's you know, the Enlightenment,
- 15:22it's socialism, communism, Nazism, fascism, progressivism, it's all the
- 15:28same thing. It's all the lives of the devil from the very beginning.
- 15:33Seriously, it is the Masonic Order, it's the Tower of Babbel. And
- 15:39I mean Saulolensky Rules for Radicals, the great communist book of the nineteen what
- 15:43early seventies, late sixties, It was like seventy two when it came out,
- 15:48it could be wrong. He dedicated the book to Satan, the first
- 15:52rebel, as he called it. I mean, they're pretty dagum open about
- 15:54it. If you actually read their stuff. Cloward and Piven bring down the
- 16:00system by flooding it with illegal immigrants and put them all in welfare for what.
- 16:04What's the imp goal of that going to be? Everybody's going to be
- 16:07poor, everybody's gonna be living in the projects and the slums, starving,
- 16:11crime everywhere. But they wrote a whole book on it, and then,
- 16:18I mean that was the thrust of Barack Obama's presidency, was Cloud and Vivin.
- 16:26You know, it's a suicidal mental illness. Essentially, it's a in
- 16:32many cases, a genocidal mental illness. It's a homicidal mental illness. It
- 16:37is utter insanity. Anyway, Okay, so we are. Let's see,
- 16:45we just talked about the Council Constantinople and as you remember from they might be
- 16:51giants, It's says Stanbul, not Constantinople. A cool little band they were.
- 16:56I love eighties new wave music. That's just like the stuff when I
- 17:00was a kid. I was born in seventy seven, so I heard a
- 17:03ton of punk rock and new wave music coming up, you know, growing
- 17:07up as a kid. I mean to this day, if someone said,
- 17:10what's your favorite rock band, it would probably be the Ramones or the Talking
- 17:12Heads. Yeah, Motorhead, you know, heavy metal band. You know,
- 17:22I just I got that weird taste of music because when I was born,
- 17:26I was actually born the same year as punk rock was. That's nineteen
- 17:29seventy seven. So let's see the creative Pope Pious the Fourth, which contains
- 17:36the teachings of the Council which Trent, and was published by the authority of
- 17:40Pope Pious the Fourth in fifteen sixty four. Some editions have been made to
- 17:45it by the Vatican Council of eighteen seventy. The Nice Seeing Creed is repeated
- 17:48on certain days by the priests and the Holy Mass, and the Creed of
- 17:52Pope Pious the Four has to be repeated by a convert when he is received
- 17:57in the church, and also by parish priests when they enter into their b
- 18:06n eifi ces. I'm not sure I pronounce that, but of course all
- 18:11that changes for Vatican two. As far as I know, I did not
- 18:15have to recite the creed of Pope place the fourth when I was confirmed to
- 18:18the Catholic Church. So I'm assuming that's all, you know post Vatican two.
- 18:22It could change before them, because you know was probus Books eighteen nineties.
- 18:29But anyway, the heart of it, the three things we confess are
- 18:33still all the same, he says. The Apostles creed contains in brief all
- 18:37that a Catholic must know and believe. In his few words are contained the
- 18:42mysteries of the faith. It is like the body of a child which contains
- 18:47the limbs of a full grown man, or like a seed that contains the
- 18:49tree with all its branches. It is called in Latin the symbolum or distinguishing
- 18:56mark, because in early days the recital of it was the mark by which
- 19:00a man was recognized as a Christian. No one was admitted to present,
- 19:06to be present in Holy Mass unless he knew it by heart. That's that's
- 19:08something we've really forgotten in modern times. Those who were not confirmed Catholic were
- 19:15not allowed at Mass. I mean, Protestants now get offended because they can
- 19:21attend a Catholic Mass but are asked not to receive the Eucharist. That's for
- 19:25their own good because Jesus said, those who received My body and blood unworthily
- 19:30commit a sin against essentially guilty of his murder. And you know, the
- 19:33repriest or or your Catholic friend is supposed to kind of explain that to you,
- 19:38so you don't commit a mortal sin by receiving the Eucharist unworthily, ie
- 19:42not being a confirmed Catholic who believes in the true body and blood of Christ
- 19:48being President of the Eucharist. Even into the eighteen nineties, non confirms Catholics
- 19:56would have to leave the church during the Eucharist. I mean, I'm sure
- 20:02that would shock many people today, but I mean it actually makes sense,
- 20:07and it was actually sort of part of what we would call the the mystery
- 20:11of our religion. It made that maybe seem a little more special, and
- 20:17that's not a bad thing. We're talking about the most sacred holy thing there
- 20:19is God. So I mean, for the uninitiated not to be present during
- 20:26the Eucharist, it makes actually a lot of sense. And I mean even
- 20:32the use of Latin as opposed to the common tongue of the country like English
- 20:36and America, it continues to give that mystery that the initiated understand, and
- 20:42the uninitiated don't. I know, that's not like democratic. That sounds un
- 20:48American. But democracy is not a good thing. Democracy is three wolves voting
- 20:55to eat two sheep. I mean democracy. America's founders are public. I
- 21:00say. This is someone whose great great great grandfather was the only Catholic signer
- 21:04of the Decoration of Independence, the first Bishop of America. They did not
- 21:08want a democracy. They wanted a republic, a republic under the rule of
- 21:12law, not mob rule. That's what the progressives and the democrats have given
- 21:18us. The socialists, the atheists anyway. The apostles creed. Okay,
- 21:26let's see, no one was meant to be president and masterless. He knew
- 21:29it by heart. It could not be divulged by any unbaptized person. It
- 21:34is called the symbolum because as being the watchword of the Christian warfare, remembering
- 21:41that Christians are in battle against evil, and this was our creed, this
- 21:45was I mean. I really think traditional Latin mess and pre Vatican two traditions
- 21:52of the Church are vastly superior than what we have now. But it's not
- 22:00might say not m I say at all. The apostles Creed is so called
- 22:03because it originated with the Apostles, the whly Apostles, before they separated from
- 22:07each other. From one another, I should say, establish a certain and
- 22:12fixed rule of teaching, so that it might be the same in all different
- 22:15countries where they preached. Yet it is only the outlines of the Apostles Creed
- 22:21that dates from the Apostles themselves. Between their time and the year six hundred,
- 22:26a number of new clauses were added in order to meet various heresies.
- 22:32Thus the words creator of heaven and earth were added to meet the Manichean doctrine
- 22:36that the world was created by the principle of evil. The word Catholic was
- 22:41added to distinguish the Church from the sects around her. The influence of Saint
- 22:45Peter in drawing up the Creed appears from the fact that the principles which are
- 22:48developed in this in his speeches, as recorded in the acts of the Apostles,
- 22:53are those which are found in the Creed. It was required before baptism
- 22:57as evidence of witness for the reception of that sacrament. I'm sorry, fitness
- 23:03for the reception of that sacrament, and actually long before the Apostles, Creed
- 23:07was ever formalized. We have the d da Ka the Teachings of the Twelve
- 23:11Apostles, and you will find it essentially identical. The Apostles Creed is the
- 23:18synopsis, it's the short version, it's the you know, the bullet points.
- 23:22The d do K is not a long document, but it's too long
- 23:26to be memorized by most people. The Apostles Creed may be divided into three
- 23:33several parts. The first treats of God the Father and Creation of The second
- 23:38Treats of God the Son and our Redemption. The third treats of God the
- 23:42Holy Ghost and our sanctification. The Apostles Creed may be divided into twelve articles.
- 23:48An article is a member of belonging to the whole, as a limb
- 23:52belongs to the whole body. The articles of the Creed are so called because
- 23:56of their inseparable connection with one another. As you cannot take away one of
- 24:02the links of a chain without the chain being broken, so you cannot take
- 24:04away one of the articles of the creed without the faith being destroyed. Extremely
- 24:08important point. There are various images in the Old Testament of the twelve articles
- 24:14of the Creed e g. The twelve precious stones on the breastplate of the
- 24:18High Priest, the twelve lows of the proposition that's in Leviticus. The articles
- 24:23of the Creed, which we should wear around our breast, I E.
- 24:26Should believe and confess, should be like the stones of the High priest breastplate,
- 24:33shining and spreading light around the number of articles of the Creed is the
- 24:37same as that of the Apostles of our Lord, and is intended to remind
- 24:40us that they contain the doctrine taught by the twelve Apostles. Every Christian should
- 24:45know the Creed by heart. It should be repeated every day in our prayers
- 24:49by way of renewing and strengthening our faith. It is confirmed, it is
- 24:56and of confirming the covenant we entered on with God at our baptism. It
- 25:00is a shield of our faith by repetition of which we can extinguish all fiery
- 25:07darts of the most wicked one. And that's a reference to Ephesian six sixteen.
- 25:14So we're going to get into twelve articles of the Apostles Creed. We'll
- 25:18spend several days on this. Consider today an introduction, But God willing you
- 25:26all know the Apostles Creed, And if you don't do so already, do
- 25:30make an effort please to say the Apostles Creed every day. You know,
- 25:33it should be part of your daily Rosary. And there's nothing more important except
- 25:40perceiving the Eucharist that you can do in a day than pray the Rosary.
- 25:45So we also do the Creed in the Divine mercy Child, every single thing
- 25:51a Catholic does begins within the name of the Father and the Son and the
- 25:53Holy Spirit. And all of our beliefs, all of our core beliefs,
- 26:03are summed up in the Apostles Creed. And by remembering it every day,
- 26:08it makes us devout, it makes us loyal, it enlightens our minds.
- 26:15And I mean, you know this was the Creed is formulated by the actual
- 26:22apostles of Jesus Christ, the men, the eleven plus Saint Paul and well
- 26:30what's his name anyway, but just the plus Saint Paul and the two that
- 26:34came with him. Those who hear you hear me, and those who reject
- 26:41you reject him who sent me so really really important, really important, And
- 26:51I absolutely recommend you get a copy of the d DA K I'm named.
- 26:53Sure if in eighteen ninety Father Sprago knew of the d DA K there were
- 26:59several copy of it found in the nineteen hundreds, he may not have even
- 27:03known, you know. And what a wonderful enlightenment to our faith. Literally,
- 27:07the dk was the one of the main well, okay, one of
- 27:15the main documents that convinced me to convert to Catholicism, because I looked at
- 27:19it and said, if this is what the early Church actually thought, believed,
- 27:23and practiced, there's only one church on earth that still believes, thinks,
- 27:27and practices this. There's only one church I can walk into. That
- 27:32is the Church of the Apostles, and it's the Catholic Church. There's only
- 27:34one eu Christ. And all that I would have to say that faith came
- 27:38before understanding. I was convinced, I think, moved by the Holy Spirit
- 27:48to believe in the truth of the Catholic Church before logically accepting it on historical
- 27:56evidence. Well, it's it's sort of like what Saint Augustine said. He
- 27:59said he loved the biblest theologians of all time, but he said, I
- 28:03would not believe the Bible or the Word of God unless the Catholic Church taught
- 28:07me. So you know, like I said the other day, Jesus gave
- 28:12us teachers and preachers, not writers. And you know, he gave us
- 28:18a church, not a Bible. So the Church gives us the Bible,
- 28:22and we can believe in the Church even if we really don't have intellectual understanding
- 28:30of all these various historical documents over the last two thousand years. And you
- 28:36know, blessed for those who believe but not seen. So I mean that
- 28:40really is believing in the Word of God, because God guaranteed his Church,
- 28:44not a book, even if that book is the wonderful, you know,
- 28:48venerable Bible, not historical evidence, not even the teachings of all the early
- 28:53church fathers. It was the teachings of the original twelve the Apostles, which
- 28:59we'll see in If you have the Bible in the d DA KA, you
- 29:02pretty much got it. Yeah, And so it's cool. It's great to
- 29:06have the d DA KA. But probably hundreds of millions of Catholics have believed
- 29:11in the Catholic Church and all the teachings of the Church without the d DA
- 29:14KA, just through oral tradition. You know, people weren't always literate,
- 29:18I mean universal literacy is only about two hundred years old. Meanwhile, the
- 29:25Church is over two thousand years old and the oldest still standing intact human institution
- 29:30on earth, because Jesus said it would stand forever until he comes again,
- 29:33and it will. And in my opinion, he's not coming again for about
- 29:37four thousand years, and the Catholic Church will remain unchanged, undefeated for the
- 29:47next four thousand years through all kinds of trials and ups and downs. Jesus
- 29:51said, the gates of Hell are not prevail against his Church, and they
- 29:53won't. I believe fully that all Protestant churches will pass away by that time.
- 30:00Everybody's going to be either Catholic or not Christian at all. I believe
- 30:03that most Jews and Muslims, if not all, will become Christian by that
- 30:10time. I may be wrong, but we are so not to the end
- 30:15of time, Shet we are. So things are going to get a whole
- 30:19lot worse, for they get better. But as our Lord said, those
- 30:22who endure to the end will be saved. So endure, endeavor to persevere,
- 30:29as as Abraham Lincoln both famously and perversely told several leaders of Native American
- 30:38tribes. He was not not a kind man toward the Indians. Let's just
- 30:47put it that way. But that's neither here nor there. That's not even
- 30:49a topic for this podcast. Well it might be an known it's the uncensored
- 30:55Catholic. Anyway, I don't like Abraham Lincoln. Sorry. If you were
- 30:57taking school that he was like the great emancipator, actual history would show you
- 31:03he was a general genocide, a war criminal, many depressive, salvermental illness,
- 31:08didn't even really like black people at all, and really hated Indians.
- 31:14So, uh well, we'll get into that maybe sometime in the future.
- 31:18But I know, I just offended, like you know, half of my
- 31:21listeners, if not more. I'm just telling you, you read the documents.
- 31:23He is not what you're taught in school, not at all what you're
- 31:27taught in school. He was a racist, bigot and a very very bad
- 31:33man who really did horrible things to you know, my family, and yeah,
- 31:41pretty bad actually. So anyway, y'all, lea's move on. We'll
- 31:44talk about more more religious topics tomorrow and then save politics and history for another
- 31:48day. Have a great one. In the words of Saint Padre Pio,
- 31:53pray, hope and don't worry and I will talk to you next time.
