Mega Edition: The DOJ And SDNY And The Decades Of Disrespect Shown To Epstein Survivors (8/15/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

• 0:00
Speaker 1: Eight. In twenty and sixteen, prosecutors in the Manhattan office
• 0:06
Speaker 1: decided that they weren't going to pursue charges against Jeffrey
• 0:10
Speaker 1: Epstein and Gilaine Maxwell. Why in the hell would they
• 0:15
Speaker 1: not pursue charges? Can't tell me. There wasn't enough evidence.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: We had mountains of it. So what was the motivation
• 0:27
Speaker 1: for this office for these prosecutors to not chase Jeffrey
• 0:32
Speaker 1: Epstein and Gilain Maxwell. Could it have anything to do
• 0:38
Speaker 1: with who was in charge of the just US Department
• 0:42
Speaker 1: at the time, Miss Loretta Lynch? Was she trying to
• 0:45
Speaker 1: protect Bill Clinton? Quite possible. We know that they were tight.
• 0:50
Speaker 1: We know that Loretta Lynch and Hillary were tight, and
• 0:54
Speaker 1: we know that Bill Clinton had big time ties to
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Were the prosecutors in on this? Was Pretra
• 1:04
Speaker 1: rah rah in on this? He was the man down
• 1:06
Speaker 1: there at the time. What did he know, when did
• 1:09
Speaker 1: he know it? And why did they not pursue Jeffrey
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Epstein and Gilain Maxwell in two thousand and sixteen, Well,
• 1:19
Speaker 1: let's jump into this Daily News article and see what
• 1:22
Speaker 1: they think. Headline, Manhattan federal prosecutors declined to pursue Jeffrey
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Epstein and Gilain Maxwell case in two thousand and sixteen.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Stephen Rex Brown. So again,
• 1:39
Speaker 1: my question is why did they not pursue them? You know,
• 1:43
Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that you know, have questions
• 1:47
Speaker 1: like this. Why in the world, with all of the
• 1:50
Speaker 1: evidence that they had compiled, even up to that point,
• 1:54
Speaker 1: were these two not pursued? Who was protecting them and why.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: In July twenty nineteen, then Manhattan US Attorney US Attorney
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Berman proclaimed before a bunch of cameras that the
• 2:09
Speaker 1: Feds were proud to stand up for Jeffrey Epstein's survivors. Yeah, okay,
• 2:15
Speaker 1: mister Berman, nothing happened while you were in office. Really, dude,
• 2:18
Speaker 1: you didn't do shit. You didn't help the investigation one bit.
• 2:22
Speaker 1: You were just another bumbling fool. So please spare us
• 2:27
Speaker 1: with your platitudes. My office will not rest until perpetrators
• 2:32
Speaker 1: of these types of crimes are brought to justice. Victims' voices,
• 2:36
Speaker 1: including the many voices of Epstein's alleged victims, must be heard.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Berman said, Yeah, I mean, your office did a real
• 2:42
Speaker 1: good job of that in twenty sixteen. All of your cohorts,
• 2:46
Speaker 1: all of your buddies, all of your awesome heart charging
• 2:49
Speaker 1: after justice friends in the Prosecutor's office, they sure did
• 2:54
Speaker 1: a real good job of that. In reality, your office
• 2:59
Speaker 1: and just about every other office in the whole entire
• 3:01
Speaker 1: nation abandoned these girls. So don't act like after the fact.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: In two thousand, after he's arrested, after the new expose
• 3:10
Speaker 1: by the Miami Herald, after the renewed interest that you
• 3:13
Speaker 1: and your office were on the front line of making
• 3:17
Speaker 1: this happen. Such bullocks. It wasn't always that way. On
• 3:23
Speaker 1: February twenty ninth, twenty and sixteen, the office's top human
• 3:27
Speaker 1: trafficking prosecutor, Amanda Kramer, met with defense attorneys representing survivors
• 3:33
Speaker 1: of Epstein and his alleged madam co conspirator, fellow child abuser,
• 3:38
Speaker 1: general all around scumbag and bipedal serpent Geelean Maxwell, sources
• 3:43
Speaker 1: tell The Daily News. So in twenty sixteen, Amanda Kramer,
• 3:48
Speaker 1: who's who was the head hauncho of trafficking the trafficking
• 3:53
Speaker 1: office of prosecuting people who engage in that behavior, met
• 3:57
Speaker 1: with the attorneys for the survivor and nothing came of it. Obviously,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: another person who acts like they care, but really doesn't
• 4:09
Speaker 1: another person who's in a position of power who decides
• 4:14
Speaker 1: not to act. Are these people ever going to be
• 4:17
Speaker 1: held responsible? At the very least, they should be barred
• 4:21
Speaker 1: from public office. At the very least, we should not
• 4:24
Speaker 1: be paying taxpayer dollars to these people, don't you think.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: The attorneys urged Kramer to open an investigation of the duo,
• 4:35
Speaker 1: but Kramer had many questions, including how Epstein's controversial non
• 4:39
Speaker 1: prosecution agreement with the Southern District of Florida in two
• 4:43
Speaker 1: thousand and seven would impact a new investigation. The sources said,
• 4:46
Speaker 1: you see what it's about here, right right from the beginning.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: You see what the sdn WY is about. It's not
• 4:51
Speaker 1: about the investigation. Kramer didn't want to do the legwork.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: She didn't want to put in the time, She didn't
• 4:56
Speaker 1: want to put in the resources and really go after this.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: What else were they busy doing in twenty sixteen in
• 5:02
Speaker 1: that office. Oh yeah, busy doing political hit jobs. I forgot.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: They were way too busy to actually do their jobs.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: They were too busy engaged in political infighting. The FBI,
• 5:15
Speaker 1: the US Attorney's Office, the just US Department all need
• 5:20
Speaker 1: to be completely torn down and rebuilt correctly. The attorney
• 5:28
Speaker 1: attempted to peak a Manhattan federal prosecutor's interests in a
• 5:32
Speaker 1: second meeting in the summer of twenty sixteen, after Maxwell
• 5:36
Speaker 1: allegedly committed perjury. Two sources said, Nah, wait, perjury. We
• 5:41
Speaker 1: don't have time for that here. We don't have time
• 5:44
Speaker 1: to pursue someone like Gilaane Maxwell on simple perjury. We
• 5:48
Speaker 1: are engaged in other things. We are busy doing other things. Really,
• 5:54
Speaker 1: the head of human trafficking, and you think the case
• 5:57
Speaker 1: is too rough to pursue. You don't know if you
• 6:00
Speaker 1: have the right resources to pursue it. What does that
• 6:04
Speaker 1: even mean. You work at the SDNY, plenty of resources
• 6:09
Speaker 1: for you, especially to go after somebody like Jeffrey Epstein.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: What these resources just automatically, somehow appeared in the office
• 6:17
Speaker 1: now that after Maxwell has been arrested and the case
• 6:19
Speaker 1: has been growing, So those resources just showed up. No,
• 6:23
Speaker 1: those resources were available throughout the whole entire time that
• 6:29
Speaker 1: Kramer was in office, that Preed was in office, that
• 6:32
Speaker 1: Loretta Lynch was in office. But you know what the
• 6:35
Speaker 1: truth is, folks, they did not care, point blank period.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: The sources set. A second meeting occurred but another source
• 6:46
Speaker 1: familiar with the outreach to the government insisted it never happened.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Epstein was paying Maxwell's legal bills at the time, and
• 6:53
Speaker 1: the survivor's attorneys believed the pair were in a perjury conspiracy.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: Sources said, well, how about some egg on the face
• 7:01
Speaker 1: for mister Preet's office, how about some egg on the
• 7:05
Speaker 1: face for Amanda Kramer? Because guess what they were right,
• 7:12
Speaker 1: there was perjury going on. Epstein and Maxwell were still conversating,
• 7:17
Speaker 1: We're still in contact, we're still working together behind the scenes,
• 7:21
Speaker 1: and Amanda Kramer and Prete and Loretta Lynch did not
• 7:26
Speaker 1: care enough to pursue it. You want reality, folks, there
• 7:30
Speaker 1: it is right for you, right in your face. That's
• 7:32
Speaker 1: the reality of the situation. No bullshitting around, no nonsense.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: They did not care. Both efforts went nowhere. We were
• 7:47
Speaker 1: saying to anyone who would listen, we've got clients who
• 7:49
Speaker 1: are abused, some of them under age. We have the evidence,
• 7:53
Speaker 1: there's a whole record that's been developed. We can establish
• 7:56
Speaker 1: beyond any reasonable doubt that there was a mass of
• 8:00
Speaker 1: sex trafficking ring going on, said David Boyse, an attorney
• 8:04
Speaker 1: for Epstein's survivors. And they didn't care. They didn't even
• 8:07
Speaker 1: bother to look at the evidence. What did Amanda Kramer care?
• 8:10
Speaker 1: She's way too busy going after her political opponents. We
• 8:13
Speaker 1: know that that's how Prete was Roland, and we certainly
• 8:16
Speaker 1: know Loretta Lynch isn't above it. So you see the nonsense.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: You see how this case was ignored for decades, and
• 8:29
Speaker 1: then you wonder why people are mad. You wonder why
• 8:32
Speaker 1: people are pissed off and demanding justice. This cannot be
• 8:38
Speaker 1: allowed to play out in America. This sort of thing
• 8:42
Speaker 1: cannot be allowed to happen. If you're engaged in a
• 8:46
Speaker 1: human sex trafficking operation, it is time for you to
• 8:52
Speaker 1: be punished. Modern day slavery folks, That's exactly what it is.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: And right now, at this point in time, there are
• 9:01
Speaker 1: more people in bondage than at at any other point
• 9:04
Speaker 1: in time in history, and human trafficking plays a huge
• 9:08
Speaker 1: gigantic part in that. And Preete and Amanda and Loretta
• 9:13
Speaker 1: Lynch way too busy to engage. Huh. The Manhattan US
• 9:20
Speaker 1: attorney at the time, Prete Barahra, was not aware of
• 9:25
Speaker 1: the meetings. The News confirmed. It's unclear how far up
• 9:28
Speaker 1: the Southern district's chain of command. The proposal went, Oh please,
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: I don't buy that for a minute. I don't buy
• 9:34
Speaker 1: that for a minute. It's plausible deniability. Huh. His underlings
• 9:38
Speaker 1: are making these decisions. Huh. No one's passing that over
• 9:41
Speaker 1: his desk. Huh. Now, if we're going to destroy Acosta,
• 9:48
Speaker 1: and we should have, and we did, then Prete and
• 9:51
Speaker 1: his office must also get the same exact treatment. They
• 9:58
Speaker 1: played a huge role in this in two thousand, in sixteen,
• 10:01
Speaker 1: and furthermore, what did Preet ever do to go after
• 10:07
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein or Giley and Maxwell? What did his office
• 10:10
Speaker 1: ever do? Not a thing, not one thing ever, And
• 10:14
Speaker 1: this happened right under their nose. How many blocks away
• 10:17
Speaker 1: from their office was Jeffrey Epstein abusing these girls. We
• 10:23
Speaker 1: never contacted Prete directly. We thought he would have been
• 10:26
Speaker 1: briefed on a matter of this importance, and we hoped
• 10:29
Speaker 1: to make progress with the staff and didn't want it
• 10:31
Speaker 1: to be seen as going over their head. But in retrospect,
• 10:35
Speaker 1: we probably should have gone to him directly. Boys said, again,
• 10:39
Speaker 1: I don't buy that. Prete didn't have any idea about
• 10:41
Speaker 1: what was going on. He ran that office like a dictator,
• 10:45
Speaker 1: iron gloved dictator. You mean to tell me he never
• 10:48
Speaker 1: saw anything for this, And if that's the case, then
• 10:51
Speaker 1: he wasn't as good at his job as people said.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: Then he wasn't as good of an administrator as he
• 10:56
Speaker 1: made himself out to be. How don't you know what
• 10:58
Speaker 1: your underlings are working on? How don't you know about
• 11:01
Speaker 1: big cases such as this? It's just like the people
• 11:04
Speaker 1: who say I didn't know who Jeffrey Epstein was. Really
• 11:07
Speaker 1: I was just hanging out and we were having some coffee. Yeah, okay,
• 11:11
Speaker 1: sure you didn't. That might work for an average human being,
• 11:15
Speaker 1: some normal person, you know, just worried about their life
• 11:19
Speaker 1: every day. But when someone like pre Barahahara rah rah
• 11:23
Speaker 1: acts like they had no idea what was going on
• 11:26
Speaker 1: in their office, I tell you here and now, that
• 11:31
Speaker 1: is some straight up bullshit. I don't believe it for
• 11:34
Speaker 1: one single second. The Virgin Islands Attorney General accused Epstein
• 11:41
Speaker 1: of bringing underage girls to his private island of perversions
• 11:45
Speaker 1: as recently as twenty eighteen. So how many girls could
• 11:50
Speaker 1: have been saved if preet and his office would have
• 11:53
Speaker 1: done the right thing. How many girls would not have
• 11:56
Speaker 1: been abused if Preete and his office would have been
• 11:59
Speaker 1: focusing on actual crimes. But no, too busy planned politics,
• 12:06
Speaker 1: too busy trying to run hatchet jobs. And this is
• 12:10
Speaker 1: the result. This is the result when you have the
• 12:13
Speaker 1: FBI playing grab ass. A person closely familiar with the
• 12:20
Speaker 1: Southern District emphasized that understanding of the Epstein saga was
• 12:24
Speaker 1: radically different before The Miami Herald published it's bombshell investigation
• 12:29
Speaker 1: in late twenty eighteen. Yeah right, that's such bullshit. I
• 12:34
Speaker 1: don't know about you, folks, but I'm not letting them
• 12:35
Speaker 1: get off the hook with that one. Everybody knew, Okay,
• 12:40
Speaker 1: everybody knew. Anybody with Google knew what Jeffrey Epstein was about.
• 12:45
Speaker 1: Anybody who listened to the testimony of those girls knew
• 12:48
Speaker 1: what Jeffrey Epstein was about. And anybody saying any different,
• 12:52
Speaker 1: any prosecutor, especially working in this office, who says any
• 12:57
Speaker 1: different is a straight up bullshitting liar, okay, liar. The
• 13:07
Speaker 1: story raised major questions about why then Southern District of
• 13:11
Speaker 1: Florida US Attorney Alex Acosta let the purv off so easy.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: Reopening the case brought by another US attorney is rare.
• 13:19
Speaker 1: The person said, yeah, well, your job is to take
• 13:22
Speaker 1: those steps. Your job is to break the mold. Your
• 13:25
Speaker 1: job as the hancho at STNY is to take the
• 13:30
Speaker 1: lead for the rest of the country and show them
• 13:32
Speaker 1: how it's done. But you didn't have the stones, you
• 13:35
Speaker 1: didn't have the fruits, and you didn't care about these survivors.
• 13:40
Speaker 1: That's all it breaks down to. That's what it comes
• 13:43
Speaker 1: down to, and that's the bottom line. You just presume
• 13:48
Speaker 1: that major, significant, well respected US attorney's offices don't f
• 13:52
Speaker 1: this up. The person said, Look, the way that they're
• 13:56
Speaker 1: trying to pin all of the blame on the Florida's
• 13:59
Speaker 1: office is a whole area is here. Sure, they definitely
• 14:03
Speaker 1: are to blame for the non prosecution agreement, how everything
• 14:08
Speaker 1: went the first time around. But let's be real, what
• 14:11
Speaker 1: have you done, pret What did you do to help
• 14:15
Speaker 1: these girls? Not a thing, never left a finger, never
• 14:19
Speaker 1: sanctioned Epstein, never went after the money laundering. You knew
• 14:22
Speaker 1: about the stars, you knew about the financial crimes, and
• 14:26
Speaker 1: you didn't do shit. So please get off of your
• 14:30
Speaker 1: ivory tower when you're speaking to me. It obviously seems
• 14:36
Speaker 1: very tragic in hindsight, but if people reopened our case,
• 14:39
Speaker 1: we'd lose our minds. I don't care. You see the
• 14:42
Speaker 1: problem here, folks, If people reopened our case, we'd lose
• 14:45
Speaker 1: our minds. Stuff your ego. Stuff it deep, because your
• 14:50
Speaker 1: ego should play no part in how we pursue criminal cases.
• 14:54
Speaker 1: If you fed up, if you didn't do the right thing,
• 14:57
Speaker 1: and someone else reopens your case, well, do a better
• 15:01
Speaker 1: job as a prosecutor. Then how about that too difficult
• 15:05
Speaker 1: to ask? Well, if that's the case, then kick rocks
• 15:08
Speaker 1: will bring somebody in like Alison Moe, who actually cares.
• 15:14
Speaker 1: The sources who described attorney's disappointment in twenty sixteen were
• 15:18
Speaker 1: quick to credit the prosecutors and FBI agents who brought
• 15:22
Speaker 1: the Epstein and Maxwell cases that began under Berman, but
• 15:26
Speaker 1: the attorney's earlier efforts to persuade the FEDS to investigate Epstein,
• 15:30
Speaker 1: led by Boys, one of the country's most powerful lawyers,
• 15:34
Speaker 1: will likely be scrutinized in Maxwell's criminal case. Yeah, you think,
• 15:40
Speaker 1: of course it's going to be scrutinized. They fed up,
• 15:43
Speaker 1: they didn't do the right thing. The SDNY did not
• 15:45
Speaker 1: have their eye on the ball. There were way too
• 15:47
Speaker 1: busy playing politics. They were way too busy engaging when
• 15:53
Speaker 1: they should have been chasing down and destroying Jeffrey Epstein's
• 15:57
Speaker 1: network have argued she was the victim of perjury trap
• 16:01
Speaker 1: set by survivors attorneys and that the FEDS improperly obtained
• 16:05
Speaker 1: her depositions, which remain under seal. Well, here's an idea.
• 16:11
Speaker 1: If you're not lying about something, then you will not
• 16:14
Speaker 1: be walked into a perjury trap. Okay, And again, folks,
• 16:18
Speaker 1: remember when we're looking at this, look at what her
• 16:21
Speaker 1: defense is talking about. They're talking about technicalities again, They're
• 16:26
Speaker 1: talking about loopholes because when it comes down to the evidence,
• 16:29
Speaker 1: they know it's not on their side and they have
• 16:32
Speaker 1: no chance of defending their client on the merits of
• 16:37
Speaker 1: her innocence alone. Prosecutors accuse Maxwell of lying in those
• 16:43
Speaker 1: depositions about her knowledge of Epstein's sick lifestyle, including his
• 16:47
Speaker 1: collection of sex toys and obsession with underage girls. Her
• 16:52
Speaker 1: legal team will argue to the Second Circuit Court of
• 16:54
Speaker 1: Appeals Tuesday that the deposition should remain under seal so
• 17:01
Speaker 1: that depositions happens today. We'll see what happens there and
• 17:04
Speaker 1: we will definitely report on that. The deposition transcripts obtained
• 17:08
Speaker 1: by the government, and the indictment's perjury counts place in
• 17:11
Speaker 1: a new light plaintiff's earlier litigation conduct, suggesting the planned
• 17:17
Speaker 1: use of miss Maxwell's deposition as a perjury trap. Maxwell's
• 17:21
Speaker 1: attorney Tygee wrote in July again, technicalities. It's not that
• 17:25
Speaker 1: my client is innocent. It's not that my client didn't
• 17:29
Speaker 1: do this. It's that we're going to use these technicalities
• 17:32
Speaker 1: so that you can't pursue justice. But attorneys for Epstein's
• 17:37
Speaker 1: survivors were not in cahoots with the Feds in twenty sixteen,
• 17:41
Speaker 1: despite their best efforts, bingo, there you go, that's the tell.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: Twenty sixteen, the FBI and the authorities were way too
• 17:50
Speaker 1: busy fing around to even bother with this case. Attorney
• 17:55
Speaker 1: Stan Pottinger, Bradley Edwards, and Peter Skinner attended a February
• 18:00
Speaker 1: down with Kramer in a conference room at the Southern
• 18:03
Speaker 1: District's headquarters at one Street Andrews Plaza. Skinner, an attorney
• 18:08
Speaker 1: at the firm boy Schiller. Flexner, attended in part because
• 18:11
Speaker 1: he is a former assistant US attorney at the Southern
• 18:14
Speaker 1: District who knew Kramer. Sources said, so, remember at all
• 18:19
Speaker 1: of these legal offices, Schiller and Boys, Boys and Schiller,
• 18:23
Speaker 1: however you want to pronounce it, whatever, all these powerful offices,
• 18:26
Speaker 1: they all have ex prosecutors that work with them, because
• 18:29
Speaker 1: these prosecutors have a relationship with the current prosecutors. And well,
• 18:34
Speaker 1: I guess it doesn't hurt to have a friendly face
• 18:36
Speaker 1: Ham when you're trying to work out a deal. The
• 18:40
Speaker 1: team represented Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts in a defamation lawsuit
• 18:44
Speaker 1: against Maxwell, an alleged madam, co conspirator, fellow child abuser,
• 18:49
Speaker 1: general all around scuzbag, and Bipedal Serpent for Epstein. The
• 18:54
Speaker 1: lawsuit focused on whether the British socialite Bipedal Serpent smeared
• 18:59
Speaker 1: roberts name by saying she lied about Epstein's sex trafficking scheme,
• 19:04
Speaker 1: but it also provided a means to obtain evidence and
• 19:07
Speaker 1: force people in Epstein's orbit to testify under oath. It
• 19:11
Speaker 1: sure did, and it was a brilliant move on the
• 19:13
Speaker 1: part of the lawyers. These lawyers know their business, and
• 19:18
Speaker 1: the lawyers for the survivors, for the most part, are
• 19:20
Speaker 1: really charging hardier and they're really working to make sure
• 19:24
Speaker 1: that things swing in the right direction. The legal team
• 19:28
Speaker 1: presented Kramer, the Southern District's coordinator for Justice Department initiatives
• 19:32
Speaker 1: combating human trafficking and child exploitation, with what they'd learned
• 19:36
Speaker 1: about Epstein's scheme. The multimillionaire financier pedophile had abused dozens
• 19:42
Speaker 1: of underage girls in Palm Beach and elsewhere during sexualized massages.
• 19:46
Speaker 1: They said. With Maxwell's assistance, Epstein had allegedly created a
• 19:51
Speaker 1: trafficking pyramid scheme in which girls were rewarded for recruiting
• 19:56
Speaker 1: new underage victims. Kramer was concerned about the non prosecution agreement,
• 20:01
Speaker 1: According to sources, Notice it's about the technicality. It's not
• 20:04
Speaker 1: about you know what. I don't care about that. This
• 20:07
Speaker 1: is an important case. I'll find a way around it.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: I'm going to prosecute these people. No, Kramer, Eh, you know,
• 20:15
Speaker 1: we got this non prosecution agreement. I don't think we
• 20:18
Speaker 1: can go after them in technicalities. That kind of shit
• 20:23
Speaker 1: makes me crazy. If you're a prosecutor and wrongdoing has
• 20:27
Speaker 1: been done investigated, if your investigation turns up that the
• 20:32
Speaker 1: person in question is guilty, arrest them. That's how the
• 20:37
Speaker 1: system works. This has already been looked at, as source
• 20:42
Speaker 1: recalled Kramer saying, so, what you're really asking us to
• 20:45
Speaker 1: do is redo what the US attorney in Florida did. Yeah,
• 20:49
Speaker 1: that's exactly what you were being asked to do, Miss Kramer.
• 20:52
Speaker 1: You don't even bring this to your boss. Something this
• 20:55
Speaker 1: important didn't go to preed Huh. And I'm sure Loretta
• 20:58
Speaker 1: Lynch had no idea about covering for people. Talk about
• 21:02
Speaker 1: making sure your friends are covered for. What an absolute
• 21:07
Speaker 1: dumpster fire Loretta Lynch was, What an absolute dumpster fire,
• 21:13
Speaker 1: mister Preete was. So any time you hear one of
• 21:16
Speaker 1: the people from the previous administration get up there with
• 21:20
Speaker 1: their ivory towers and their platitudes and there were down
• 21:23
Speaker 1: with me too's well, just remember in twenty sixteen, they
• 21:28
Speaker 1: didn't do shit either. A Costa negotiated the agreement with
• 21:36
Speaker 1: Epstein's powerhouse legal team that allowed the sex offender to
• 21:39
Speaker 1: dodge serious federal charges and plead guilty to state prostitution charges.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: And again, do you really think, just like with Lynch
• 21:48
Speaker 1: and pret here an Amanda Kramer, that this didn't go
• 21:53
Speaker 1: up to the line, didn't go up to the Bush administration,
• 21:56
Speaker 1: didn't go up to mccasey and his deputies of course
• 21:59
Speaker 1: it did. These attorney generals in these states, they don't
• 22:03
Speaker 1: make these decisions on their own. They have bosses that
• 22:07
Speaker 1: they have to answer to as well, folks, And the
• 22:09
Speaker 1: bureaucracy is large. The deal is a critical chapter in
• 22:17
Speaker 1: the Epstein saga, which the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals
• 22:20
Speaker 1: described as a tale of national disgrace. And now remember
• 22:24
Speaker 1: the Eleventh Circuit is looking at this to see what's what,
• 22:28
Speaker 1: and we might get that non prosecution agreement overturned. And
• 22:33
Speaker 1: if that's the case and that gets overturned, oh, it
• 22:36
Speaker 1: will be a field day, folks, an absolute field day
• 22:40
Speaker 1: on bringing these scumbags to heal. A second source were
• 22:45
Speaker 1: called Kramer looking for a New York angle to the
• 22:48
Speaker 1: Epstein scheme which would allow him to be charged in Manhattan.
• 22:51
Speaker 1: But evidence that girls had endured the multimillionaire's massages at
• 22:55
Speaker 1: the Upper east Side mansion was thin at the time.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: The sources said, thin at the time. Thin at the time.
• 23:01
Speaker 1: That's what they want you to believe. It was thin
• 23:03
Speaker 1: at the time. That's an outright lie. And Amanda Kramer
• 23:07
Speaker 1: should be held responsible for not pursuing this. She should
• 23:11
Speaker 1: at the very least have to answer some hard questions,
• 23:14
Speaker 1: because this is absolute bullshit. Do you have cases of
• 23:20
Speaker 1: Epstein's abuse here in New York? A second source familiar
• 23:23
Speaker 1: with the meeting recalled Kramer asking The answer was not necessarily,
• 23:27
Speaker 1: or at least not yet. We asked, why can't you
• 23:30
Speaker 1: open an investigation and look for them. We'll look for them,
• 23:33
Speaker 1: and you look for them. So Kramer, who did not
• 23:36
Speaker 1: seem unsympathetic or skeptical, also asked about the statue of
• 23:40
Speaker 1: limitations for some of Epstein's crimes. The sources said, so,
• 23:44
Speaker 1: I don't the author here and the sources try and
• 23:48
Speaker 1: make it cover for Kramer. Let's just be honest, all right,
• 23:52
Speaker 1: Let's just be honest about what occurred here. They were
• 23:55
Speaker 1: negligent in their duties in the SDN. Why pret was
• 23:58
Speaker 1: the boss? All buck stops with him? And further, Loretta
• 24:02
Speaker 1: Lynch should behold to account as well. The team left
• 24:06
Speaker 1: the meeting feeling optimistic. The AUSA acted confident that a
• 24:10
Speaker 1: case would be brought against Epstein for crimes committed against
• 24:13
Speaker 1: Virginia and others in New York. Of course, first she
• 24:17
Speaker 1: had to have the facts, witnesses, evidence, and victims of
• 24:20
Speaker 1: a New York crime. We assured the prosecutor that the
• 24:23
Speaker 1: number of victims in New York far exceeded those discovered
• 24:26
Speaker 1: in Florida. The group walked out, excited that New York
• 24:30
Speaker 1: was finally going to bring a case against Epstein. You
• 24:35
Speaker 1: would think that when you bring all of that to
• 24:37
Speaker 1: an attorney US Attorney's office, and you present all of
• 24:42
Speaker 1: the facts, and you let them know that there's more
• 24:44
Speaker 1: victims in New York than there were even in Florida,
• 24:46
Speaker 1: that the Attorney General would at the very least kick
• 24:50
Speaker 1: a few tires, ask a few questions, initiate a low
• 24:54
Speaker 1: key investigation. None of that occurred. I said to David
• 25:01
Speaker 1: and Pete, don't hold your breath. The Southern District obviously
• 25:05
Speaker 1: doesn't know who they're dealing with yet, Edwards wrote in
• 25:07
Speaker 1: his book Relentless Pursuit, My Fight for the Victims of
• 25:10
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Edwards was right not to celebrate. The attorneys
• 25:14
Speaker 1: did not hear back from prosecutors, according to sources, not
• 25:18
Speaker 1: even a callback, not even a courtesy call. Hey, look,
• 25:21
Speaker 1: my boss told me that this is something that doesn't
• 25:23
Speaker 1: ring with us right now. I can't pursue this. I'm sorry.
• 25:26
Speaker 1: None of that that I would just won't call them.
• 25:28
Speaker 1: We'll ghost them, We'll blow smoke up their ass, We'll
• 25:31
Speaker 1: get the survivors fired up that they're gonna get justice,
• 25:34
Speaker 1: and then we'll just ignore it. That is the SDNY
• 25:39
Speaker 1: under pret That is the SDNY under Loretta Lynch. The
• 25:47
Speaker 1: team thought they had found a new way to entice
• 25:49
Speaker 1: the FEDS after Maxwell's depositions by attorney Sigared McCauley and
• 25:54
Speaker 1: Boys in April and July twenty and sixteen, Boys and
• 25:58
Speaker 1: Pottinger reapproached Kramer and asked if the Southern District will
• 26:01
Speaker 1: consider charging Maxwell with perjury. Sources said she mentioned the
• 26:06
Speaker 1: comedy typical pit between US attorneys around the country. A
• 26:10
Speaker 1: source said the lawyers for Epstein's survivors did not hear
• 26:14
Speaker 1: back from the Southern District regarding the perjury proposal. They
• 26:18
Speaker 1: believe that a Justice Department tradition of not second guessing
• 26:21
Speaker 1: another US attorney's work took precedence over the Southern District
• 26:25
Speaker 1: of New York's cherished reputation for fearlessness and independence. Now
• 26:30
Speaker 1: they're fearless and independent when they're chasing down like a
• 26:33
Speaker 1: stormy Daniels. Right if they think they're gonna get some
• 26:36
Speaker 1: headlines out of it. Hell yeah, they're charging hard. We're
• 26:38
Speaker 1: the SDN, Why we're here to kick your ass. Meanwhile,
• 26:43
Speaker 1: they had this hal laid out to them on a platter,
• 26:46
Speaker 1: and they don't move until a journalist kicks the tires
• 26:51
Speaker 1: and gets this shit going. That should give us confidence
• 26:54
Speaker 1: in the SDNY. That should give us confidence in mister
• 26:57
Speaker 1: Prett and Amanda Kramer certainly doesn't for me. All it
• 27:02
Speaker 1: does is open up a whole new line of questions,
• 27:06
Speaker 1: a whole new battle, because these people, just like the
• 27:12
Speaker 1: scum in Florida, should be held responsible for their inaction.
• 27:18
Speaker 1: David was particularly frustrated by the failure to pursue a
• 27:21
Speaker 1: perjury charge. A source familiar with the meetings said the
• 27:25
Speaker 1: sources were called boys, telling colleagues we have her dead
• 27:28
Speaker 1: to rights. Kramer declined to comment. A spokesman for the
• 27:33
Speaker 1: Southern District of New York declined to comment. That's nice, huh.
• 27:37
Speaker 1: Isn't that real nice that they won't even comment. They
• 27:40
Speaker 1: work for you, remember, they work for me and you,
• 27:43
Speaker 1: and they won't even comment about their stupid ass decision making.
• 27:47
Speaker 1: It tells you all you need to know. We're certainly
• 27:49
Speaker 1: not in charge, the just US Department out of control,
• 27:53
Speaker 1: the CIA out of control, the FBI out of control,
• 27:57
Speaker 1: and the two tier justice system in the United States
• 28:00
Speaker 1: dates most assuredly, Folks is out of control. A timeline
• 28:07
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking case. The office's attitude changed
• 28:11
Speaker 1: after the Miami Herald highlighted the perversion of justice that
• 28:15
Speaker 1: resulted in Epstein's receiving a slap on the wrist. Again,
• 28:19
Speaker 1: if you needed Julie Brown, a journalist, to blow this
• 28:24
Speaker 1: out of the water for you as a prosecutor in
• 28:26
Speaker 1: New York, when all of this was handed to you,
• 28:29
Speaker 1: when you had phone calls over this man for years
• 28:32
Speaker 1: and people reported their behavior, If you needed Julie K.
• 28:35
Speaker 1: Brown's story to kick your ass into gear, You, my
• 28:39
Speaker 1: friends are failures and you have no business in that
• 28:43
Speaker 1: prosecutor's office. So retire, quit, Go get a job at
• 28:47
Speaker 1: the grocery store. You're more equipped for that. Epstein killed
• 28:54
Speaker 1: himself last year, allegedly while awaiting trial for underage sex trafficking.
• 28:59
Speaker 1: Maxwells pleaded not guilty to grooming Epstein's underage survivors and perjury,
• 29:05
Speaker 1: and is awaiting trial. Neither Epstein or Maxwell's lawyers responded
• 29:09
Speaker 1: to inquiries. This was not a situation where we were
• 29:13
Speaker 1: dealing with people who didn't care. I never thought they
• 29:16
Speaker 1: didn't believe our story. I never had any doubt that
• 29:19
Speaker 1: they were. That they were sympathetic, even outraged by it.
• 29:23
Speaker 1: They simply seemed to feel they couldn't be seen as
• 29:25
Speaker 1: second guessing what the US attorney in Florida had done.
• 29:29
Speaker 1: Boys said, well, Boys has to say that, right. Boys
• 29:32
Speaker 1: has to be nice about this. He wants the prosecution
• 29:34
Speaker 1: to continue doing their jobs. I, on the other hand,
• 29:39
Speaker 1: do not have to be nice about it. I can
• 29:41
Speaker 1: say whatever the FI want. And in my opinion, this
• 29:45
Speaker 1: office was negligent. Preet was negligent, and Miss Kramer was
• 29:50
Speaker 1: also negligent. And it goes all the way up to
• 29:52
Speaker 1: Loretta Lynch. Buck stops there, right, she's the boss. If
• 29:57
Speaker 1: those are the rules we're going to be using, then
• 29:58
Speaker 1: those are the rules we're using all around for everybody, folks. Okay,
• 30:03
Speaker 1: So Loretta Lynch should be asked about this prete next
• 30:07
Speaker 1: time he's on the TV running his fat mouth about
• 30:10
Speaker 1: the great job he did and when he was at
• 30:13
Speaker 1: the SDNY. Somebody should just shove this right down his
• 30:16
Speaker 1: throat and ask him point blank, Yo, prete, why didn't
• 30:20
Speaker 1: you care about the Jeffrey Epstein survivors? Why didn't your
• 30:23
Speaker 1: office initiate an investigation until a journalist started nosing around?
• 30:31
Speaker 1: You don't think that your investigators could have unearthed this.
• 30:34
Speaker 1: You don't think that your investigators could have done their
• 30:37
Speaker 1: job and help these survivors. They could have. You guys
• 30:43
Speaker 1: just didn't care. If you'd like to contact me, you
• 30:46

• 31:07
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 31:10
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In our previous episode, we were talking about
• 31:14
Speaker 1: the DOJ and their piss poor job when it comes
• 31:17
Speaker 1: to redacting the names of survivors. Well, here's the actual
• 31:22
Speaker 1: letter that was sent on behalf of the survivors to
• 31:25
Speaker 1: the court. And this letter was sent by Brad Edwards
• 31:30
Speaker 1: and Britney Henderson. Honorable Judge Berman having received a similar
• 31:36
Speaker 1: invitation to respond to the government's companion motion to unseal
• 31:39
Speaker 1: grand jury transcripts in the case of the United States
• 31:42
Speaker 1: of America, first, Glayne Maxwell, given the identical applicability, and
• 31:47
Speaker 1: to maintain consistency and position, we provide you with the
• 31:50
Speaker 1: same response herein the Victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Glainne
• 31:54
Speaker 1: Maxwell write with the utmost respect for the judicial system
• 31:58
Speaker 1: as the only governing body of representative of the United
• 32:01
Speaker 1: States of America, recognizing their fundamental rights to protection and privacy,
• 32:07
Speaker 1: as mindfully noted in the Courts November twenty fourth, twenty
• 32:10
Speaker 1: twenty five order. As with earlier emotions to unseal, the
• 32:14
Speaker 1: government's motion is silent as to the rights of victims
• 32:17
Speaker 1: of Maxwell and or Jeffrey Epstein to be heard pursu
• 32:20
Speaker 1: into the Crime Victims Rights Act US Code eighteen, Section
• 32:24
Speaker 1: thirty seven thirty one. Likewise, despite alleged best intentions, the
• 32:29
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee has recently uploaded dozens of documents to
• 32:33
Speaker 1: the public domain received from both the Department of Justice
• 32:37
Speaker 1: and the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have exposed the
• 32:41
Speaker 1: identities of victims and consequently caused significant emotional distress for
• 32:46
Speaker 1: our clients. To be clear, Undersigned Counsel has personally dedicated
• 32:51
Speaker 1: a tremendous amount of time pro bono to assisting Congress
• 32:54
Speaker 1: in various facets as it relates to its objectives of
• 32:58
Speaker 1: obtaining records to gain insight into the crimes of Jeffrey
• 33:01
Speaker 1: Epstein and his organization. However, transparency cannot come at the
• 33:06
Speaker 1: expense of the privacy, safety, and protection of sexual abuse
• 33:11
Speaker 1: and sex trafficking victims, especially the survivors who have already
• 33:15
Speaker 1: suffered repeatedly, both at the hands of their abusers as
• 33:18
Speaker 1: well as by the actions of the media and in
• 33:21
Speaker 1: actions of the government. On November twelfth, twenty twenty five,
• 33:26
Speaker 1: the House Oversight Committee released twenty thousand documents two into
• 33:31
Speaker 1: the public domain, causing widespread panic among survivors of Jeffrey
• 33:35
Speaker 1: Epstein all over the world. Among nearly a dozen others,
• 33:39
Speaker 1: UNDERSIGN has received the following communications victim one, can you
• 33:43
Speaker 1: speak today? I see that my name was not redacted
• 33:46
Speaker 1: from anything in the first release. How do they know
• 33:50
Speaker 1: who the survivors are? Surely it should include all people
• 33:53
Speaker 1: under the umbrella of, for instance, what the Mental Health
• 33:57
Speaker 1: Fund includes, those who have move move through matters with
• 34:01
Speaker 1: the estate and with the banks at a minimum. Can
• 34:04
Speaker 1: I apply to the Department of Justice for anything? Can
• 34:07
Speaker 1: you help with redactions of my name? Well, I believe
• 34:09
Speaker 1: all survivors have a human right to choose they're a
• 34:12
Speaker 1: path or recovery for themselves in a way that enables
• 34:14
Speaker 1: them to survive. I as strongly believe that despite the
• 34:19
Speaker 1: personal and individual path chosen, the protections they are granted
• 34:23
Speaker 1: should be the same across the board. This type of
• 34:26
Speaker 1: negligence by the government to a survivor is just unable
• 34:30
Speaker 1: to comprehend. It's just impossible, it can't be. And what
• 34:35
Speaker 1: about the physical protection for those outside the US. It's
• 34:38
Speaker 1: beyond if we appear in a searchable PDF alongside anything
• 34:42
Speaker 1: to do with Israel, it's very, unfortunately and sadly the
• 34:46
Speaker 1: case that we are in physical danger. I don't understand
• 34:49
Speaker 1: how this is possible. Victim too, I'm sorry to bother you,
• 34:53
Speaker 1: but given the current situation that might expose more victims'
• 34:56
Speaker 1: names to the public, I have been unable to mentally
• 34:59
Speaker 1: in a moment function or sleep. I'm trying to see
• 35:03
Speaker 1: if we have a power to override any decision for
• 35:06
Speaker 1: our names not to be exposed. Would you be available
• 35:09
Speaker 1: for a brief chat sometime this week. I would greatly
• 35:12
Speaker 1: appreciate it. Victim three, I am besides myself with worry
• 35:17
Speaker 1: about the current news and the redaction situation. As the
• 35:21
Speaker 1: first random file I happened to click had handwritten pages
• 35:25
Speaker 1: of Palm Beach massage, and it had Victim four's name,
• 35:28
Speaker 1: and my name and so many others. The whole page
• 35:31
Speaker 1: was available for everyone to see with our unredacted names.
• 35:35
Speaker 1: I thought the government had promised to redact our names
• 35:38
Speaker 1: and identifying material. I don't understand how this is happening. Again,
• 35:43
Speaker 1: have you heard back from them at all? You kindly
• 35:45
Speaker 1: sent me the letters you had sent me, but I
• 35:48
Speaker 1: don't know what's happening anymore, and hope you can update
• 35:51
Speaker 1: me so I can know what to expect and when.
• 35:56
Speaker 1: This situation is very scary for me. In addition to
• 36:00
Speaker 1: the direct quotes above, we have fielded calls from at
• 36:02
Speaker 1: least six victims who have been contacted by the press
• 36:05
Speaker 1: after their names were released by the House Oversight Committee.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: Several have been approached personally by reporters on the street,
• 36:12
Speaker 1: and one was confronted in front of her nine year
• 36:15
Speaker 1: old son by a reporter asking for her to comment
• 36:18
Speaker 1: about being an Epstein victim, and anybody who's trying to
• 36:21
Speaker 1: chase these women down stop it. If they want to talk,
• 36:25
Speaker 1: they'll talk. If they don't want to talk, well, leave
• 36:28
Speaker 1: them the fuck alone. The situation is already dire. We
• 36:31
Speaker 1: have diligently and repeatedly brought this issue to Congress, and
• 36:35
Speaker 1: the source of the problem, we are told, lies with
• 36:38
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice. There remain dozens of women whose
• 36:42
Speaker 1: names were shared improperly in the latest House Oversight document upload,
• 36:46
Speaker 1: who are not yet aware that their privacy has been
• 36:49
Speaker 1: violated and that they have been put at risk by
• 36:51
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice, for example, and proceeding with intentional
• 36:55
Speaker 1: caution given the public attention to the matter. There is
• 36:59
Speaker 1: one document in particular that was provided to the House
• 37:02
Speaker 1: Oversight Committee by the Department of Justice wherein the names
• 37:05
Speaker 1: of at least twenty eight victims were left unredacted, including
• 37:09
Speaker 1: individuals who were minor children at the time of the
• 37:11
Speaker 1: abuse and women who have been afforded protection in other
• 37:15
Speaker 1: courtrooms in this jurisdiction as a result of grave public
• 37:20
Speaker 1: safety concerns. While we will detail the various excuses that
• 37:24
Speaker 1: the Court will no doubt be provided This is absolutely
• 37:28
Speaker 1: unacceptable in a problem that must be rectified prior to
• 37:31
Speaker 1: the public release of any additional documents. As a result
• 37:35
Speaker 1: of these numerous flagrant violations, Undersigned has been in near
• 37:39
Speaker 1: constant communication with the House Oversight Committee Majority, the House
• 37:43
Speaker 1: Oversight Committee Minority, the House Judiciary Committee, the Estate of
• 37:47
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, and various members of the United States House
• 37:51
Speaker 1: of Representatives and the United States Senate since Congress began
• 37:55
Speaker 1: issuing document subpoenas and continuing through the recent passage of
• 37:59
Speaker 1: the Epstein Yisles Transparency Act on November nineteenth, twenty twenty five.
• 38:04
Speaker 1: Notwithstanding and despite numerous pleas for assistance, there is one
• 38:09
Speaker 1: singular entity that the victims cannot seem to find a
• 38:12
Speaker 1: way to engage and which has been the primary violator
• 38:15
Speaker 1: of the victim's identity protection thus far, the Department of Justice,
• 38:21
Speaker 1: by way of background for the Court, The process that
• 38:23
Speaker 1: led these unmistakable violations of the victim's rights and to
• 38:27
Speaker 1: the broken promises of protection made to the victims by
• 38:30
Speaker 1: Congress begins with the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein and the
• 38:34
Speaker 1: Department of Justice and ends with the House Oversight Committee.
• 38:39
Speaker 1: Our understanding is that the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein provides
• 38:42
Speaker 1: a redacted version of all documents to the House Oversight Committee,
• 38:46
Speaker 1: and that the Department of Justice does the same. The
• 38:48
Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee then relies on the redactions of the
• 38:52
Speaker 1: former to be accurate and post those redacted documents to
• 38:55
Speaker 1: the public domain. The few eras in redactions in the
• 38:59
Speaker 1: estate documents seem to have been genuine mistakes that were
• 39:03
Speaker 1: made by redaction software. Given that even mistakes can have
• 39:06
Speaker 1: grave consequences in the lives of victims, we are engaging
• 39:10
Speaker 1: the estate on the issue and hope to reach a
• 39:13
Speaker 1: victim centered solution. Of much greater concern is the redaction process,
• 39:18
Speaker 1: or complete lack thereof, being applied by the Department of Justice.
• 39:23
Speaker 1: With no direct understanding of the process, and only comparing
• 39:26
Speaker 1: unredacted documents in our possession with the redacted versions provided
• 39:30
Speaker 1: by the DOJ to Congress, it appears that the DOJ
• 39:34
Speaker 1: has sent a very short list of victims whose identities
• 39:37
Speaker 1: were redacted in certain documents in the US versus Maxwell case,
• 39:41
Speaker 1: whose names were likewise redacted in its production, leaving all
• 39:46
Speaker 1: others completely unredacted. Given the number of times we have
• 39:50
Speaker 1: drawn Congress's attention to the issue and the fact that
• 39:53
Speaker 1: victims' names continue to be produced by DOJ in unredacted form.
• 39:58
Speaker 1: Many of the victims believe this has been being done intentionally,
• 40:02
Speaker 1: regardless of how we arrived here prior to the release
• 40:05
Speaker 1: by the DOJ of any grand jury material or any
• 40:08
Speaker 1: other Epstein related files for that matter. This is an
• 40:12
Speaker 1: issue that must be addressed directly with the Department of Justice,
• 40:15
Speaker 1: and this honorable Court has provided our only plausible vehicle
• 40:20
Speaker 1: for doing so at this juncture, as made clear by
• 40:23
Speaker 1: the DOJS and proper releases to oversight thus far, the
• 40:27
Speaker 1: problem is either one the Department of Justice does not
• 40:30
Speaker 1: know the identities of all the victims of Jeffrey Epstein
• 40:34
Speaker 1: and thus cannot apply proper redactions to the files, or
• 40:38
Speaker 1: to the Department of Justice is intentionally failing to protect
• 40:42
Speaker 1: victims from public exposure. Optimistically, assuming the former, it's not
• 40:46
Speaker 1: possible for the Department of Justice to properly redact the
• 40:50
Speaker 1: names of victims without our assistance or the assistance of
• 40:54
Speaker 1: individuals who work personally on the criminal or civil Epstein
• 40:58
Speaker 1: related cases. Given our two decades of investigation into Jeffrey
• 41:03
Speaker 1: Epstein and Glenn Maxwell, DJ simply does not and cannot
• 41:07
Speaker 1: have the same level of knowledge that we do with
• 41:10
Speaker 1: respect to the identity of the victims, though reasoning behind
• 41:13
Speaker 1: this is trifled. One, the two thousand and six Southern
• 41:17
Speaker 1: District of Florida investigation into Jeffrey Epstein focused only on
• 41:21
Speaker 1: his minor child victims in Florida. Two, Jeffrey Epstein died
• 41:26
Speaker 1: during the course of the two thousand and eight Southern
• 41:28
Speaker 1: District of New York investigation, which focused only on his
• 41:32
Speaker 1: minor child victims in Florida and New York. And three,
• 41:36
Speaker 1: the Southern District of New York investigation into Glenn Maxwell
• 41:39
Speaker 1: focused solely on the subset of victims which were relevant
• 41:43
Speaker 1: to our involvement in the abuse. In each of those investigations,
• 41:48
Speaker 1: through legal counsel and even unbeknownst to the undersigned, for
• 41:52
Speaker 1: many years, Jeffrey Epstein was able to use lawyers that
• 41:55
Speaker 1: he paid for to silence certain victims who could have
• 41:58
Speaker 1: served as critical witnesses. This was done without their knowledge
• 42:02
Speaker 1: and despite their desire to be freed from his chains
• 42:05
Speaker 1: of control and abuse. For example, the Department of Justice
• 42:09
Speaker 1: included three young women as co conspirators in Jeffrey Epstein's
• 42:13
Speaker 1: two thousand and seven non prosecution agreement, without their consent
• 42:17
Speaker 1: or knowledge, without ever once interviewing or speaking with them directly,
• 42:21
Speaker 1: and without ever learning during the course of that initial
• 42:24
Speaker 1: investigation that each of those women had themselves been subjected
• 42:28
Speaker 1: by horrific sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein. In fact, these
• 42:32
Speaker 1: women cooperated with the Department of Justice during the New
• 42:35
Speaker 1: York investigations, and unlike Glain Maxwell, these women were not
• 42:39
Speaker 1: prosecuted because once their stories were heard, it was clear
• 42:43
Speaker 1: that they two were victims more pertinent to the breath
• 42:48
Speaker 1: of the problem here. None of the investigations conducted by
• 42:51
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice ever focused on the young American
• 42:54
Speaker 1: adult women who were victimized through fraud, force, and coercion,
• 42:59
Speaker 1: or the international trafficking operation that Jeffrey Epstein was running,
• 43:02
Speaker 1: involving exploitation and abuse of young but not minor women,
• 43:07
Speaker 1: including those from nearly every Eastern European country. Like I've
• 43:11
Speaker 1: been telling you for how long. To be clear, there
• 43:14
Speaker 1: are hundreds of women who were internationally trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein.
• 43:19
Speaker 1: We represent women from Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland, Belarus, Sweden, England,
• 43:25
Speaker 1: and France, to name only a few. Most of these
• 43:29
Speaker 1: women have never spoken with the DOJ, nor the Department
• 43:33
Speaker 1: of Justice ever interested in speaking with them during any
• 43:36
Speaker 1: act of investigation, given that Epstein was never prosecuted or
• 43:40
Speaker 1: investigated for the international crimes that he committed, likely because
• 43:44
Speaker 1: he died in prison before the government learned of that
• 43:47
Speaker 1: element of his trafficking scheme. Nonetheless, with respect to these women,
• 43:52
Speaker 1: Epstein engaged in extensive immigration fraud, executed illegally internationally transport
• 43:59
Speaker 1: a spy carrying young models into the country, where he
• 44:02
Speaker 1: would hold their visas in companies that he created and
• 44:05
Speaker 1: their passports in his possession, so that they could not escape,
• 44:09
Speaker 1: and so that he was able to control and essentially
• 44:12
Speaker 1: enslave them. We appreciate the Department of Justice July twenty
• 44:16
Speaker 1: twenty five representation that it has confirmed that Epstein harmed
• 44:20
Speaker 1: over one thousand victims and that each has suffered unique trauma.
• 44:25
Speaker 1: On the basis of that representation, we asked the Court
• 44:28
Speaker 1: to confirm with the DOJ that the prior to releasing
• 44:32
Speaker 1: files to the House Oversight Committee, it undertook the onerous
• 44:35
Speaker 1: and necessary task of redacting all one thousand plus victim
• 44:39
Speaker 1: names that it had in its possession when that statement
• 44:43
Speaker 1: was released. On that point. At inquiry, the court will
• 44:46
Speaker 1: learn that the DOJ's redaction process and its process efforts
• 44:50
Speaker 1: are so irreconcilable with the number of victims it has
• 44:54
Speaker 1: publicly acknowledged that when confronted with the discrepancy, its response
• 44:59
Speaker 1: will land somewhere between incoherent mumbling, non sequitur, and outright misrepresentation.
• 45:06
Speaker 1: We ask the Court to order that the Department of
• 45:08
Speaker 1: Justice reaffirm its commitment to make sure all victim identifying
• 45:12
Speaker 1: information is redacted, subject to sanction for any failure prior
• 45:17
Speaker 1: to allowing for the release of a single page of
• 45:20
Speaker 1: grand jury material containing victim information, and prior to releasing
• 45:24
Speaker 1: any additional documents containing victim information to the House Oversight
• 45:29
Speaker 1: Committee or any other entity that could lead to public disclosure.
• 45:34
Speaker 1: We ask the Court to order that the DOJ meet
• 45:37
Speaker 1: in confidence with the undersigned, so that a list of
• 45:40
Speaker 1: victims in our possession, including over three hundred women with
• 45:44
Speaker 1: whom we have or have had contact with, be transmitted
• 45:47
Speaker 1: in a precisely secure manner to ensure that those women
• 45:51
Speaker 1: are protected from future harm to the extent that they
• 45:54
Speaker 1: are not already included within the thousand women identified by
• 45:58
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice. Our request is simple that the
• 46:02
Speaker 1: identity of all the victims be protected, and our promise
• 46:06
Speaker 1: is to help facilitate that protection in whatever way is
• 46:08
Speaker 1: possible or necessary. These women aren't political pawns their mothers,
• 46:13
Speaker 1: wives and daughters. These are women who were abused by
• 46:17
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and in some instances by others, and who
• 46:21
Speaker 1: have already had their rights violated in the past by
• 46:24
Speaker 1: the government. They are human beings who have the right
• 46:27
Speaker 1: to be treated with dignity and respect, and to feel
• 46:30
Speaker 1: safe and protected by our country, which has failed them
• 46:34
Speaker 1: time and time again the intention of the Epstein Transparency Act.
• 46:39
Speaker 1: It is quite frankly mind boggling to be back in
• 46:42
Speaker 1: front of the Court on the issue of the grand
• 46:44
Speaker 1: jury materials, as if these materials are in some way
• 46:47
Speaker 1: the lynchpin to the investigation or representative of what Congress
• 46:51
Speaker 1: expects the Department of Justice to produce pursuant to the
• 46:55
Speaker 1: Epstein Files Transparency Act. As explained by Judge Richard Berman,
• 47:00
Speaker 1: the information contained in the Epstein grand Jury transcripts pels
• 47:04
Speaker 1: in comparison to the Epstein investigation information and material in
• 47:08
Speaker 1: the hands of the DOJ. It's obvious that those knowledgeable
• 47:13
Speaker 1: of the legal system that the DOJ is using this
• 47:15
Speaker 1: motion to attempt to trick the American people into believing
• 47:19
Speaker 1: that it intends to provide full transparency. The only thing
• 47:22
Speaker 1: thus far transparent about DOJ's actions is its intent to
• 47:26
Speaker 1: deceive the American people, a fact that has been called
• 47:29
Speaker 1: out by two separate courts. As this court astutely observed,
• 47:33
Speaker 1: a member of the public appreciating that the Maxwell grand
• 47:36
Speaker 1: jury materials do not contribute anything to public knowledge, might
• 47:39
Speaker 1: conclude that the government's motion for their unsealing was aimed
• 47:43
Speaker 1: not at transparency but at diversion, aim not a full disclosure,
• 47:48
Speaker 1: but at the illusion of such. The Epstein files consist
• 47:52
Speaker 1: of the totality of the investigations completed by one Southern
• 47:56
Speaker 1: District of Florida from two thousand and six to two
• 47:59
Speaker 1: thousand and eight, two Southern District of New York into
• 48:02
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein from twenty eighteen to nineteen and three into
• 48:06
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell from twenty nineteen to twenty twenty one, highlighting
• 48:11
Speaker 1: the magnitude of the problem and utter lack of transparency.
• 48:14
Speaker 1: To date, the Department of Justice has never released even
• 48:17
Speaker 1: the most basic of investigative materials pertaining to the very
• 48:21
Speaker 1: first investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, including the fifty three page
• 48:26
Speaker 1: indictment or the eighty two page prosecution memorandum that were
• 48:30
Speaker 1: prepared by assisting U S Attorney Marie Villafauna in two
• 48:33
Speaker 1: thousand seven in the Southern District of Florida. Notwithstanding, within
• 48:39
Speaker 1: these files as a whole, stemming across three investigations in
• 48:42
Speaker 1: two jurisdictions, there are dozens of FBI three zero twos
• 48:46
Speaker 1: generated in each of the three investigations, hundreds of thousands
• 48:50
Speaker 1: of pages a document seized from electronic devices located within
• 48:54
Speaker 1: Epstein and presumably Maxwell's various homes, all other material discovered
• 48:59
Speaker 1: during the veryvarious raids, information on nearly one hundred companies
• 49:04
Speaker 1: created by Jeffrey Epstein in his team of professionals, and
• 49:07
Speaker 1: a plethora of financial records, as confirmed in the DOJS
• 49:12
Speaker 1: July twenty twenty five press release. After conducting an exhaustive
• 49:16
Speaker 1: review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein, including digital
• 49:21
Speaker 1: searches of its database, hard drives, and network drives, as
• 49:25
Speaker 1: well as physical searches of squad areas, lock cabinets, desks, closets,
• 49:31
Speaker 1: and other areas where responsive materials may have been stored.
• 49:35
Speaker 1: These searches uncovered a significant amount of material, including more
• 49:39
Speaker 1: than three hundred gigabytes of data and physical evidence. DOJ
• 49:44
Speaker 1: then indicated that none of that information would be released
• 49:48
Speaker 1: because included within the information was crimes against children and
• 49:52
Speaker 1: sexual abuse material. With the passage of the Epstein Files
• 49:56
Speaker 1: Transparency Act, we now expect most of this information to
• 49:59
Speaker 1: be redec acted and released, with of course, the exception
• 50:03
Speaker 1: of all CP sexual abuse material, pornographic material, and victim
• 50:08
Speaker 1: identifying materials, all of which are explicitly excluded from disclosure
• 50:13
Speaker 1: by the Act. While the purposes of this response is
• 50:16
Speaker 1: simply to ask the Court's assistance in ensuring that the
• 50:19
Speaker 1: victim's names and identifying information are protected from the public discourse,
• 50:24
Speaker 1: in accordance with the previous direction of this Honorable Court,
• 50:28
Speaker 1: the Honorable Judge Berman's Court, the Honorable Judge Mara's Court,
• 50:32
Speaker 1: the US Crime Victim's Rights Act, and the US States
• 50:35
Speaker 1: Congress through the Epstein Files Transparency Act, UNDERSIGN will be
• 50:40
Speaker 1: remiss not to remind the Court that this country should
• 50:42
Speaker 1: expect far more from the Department of Justice than this
• 50:46
Speaker 1: incredibly small and largely irrelevant subset of grand jury materials
• 50:51
Speaker 1: that seem to serve as nothing more than the DOJ's
• 50:54
Speaker 1: perpetual distraction from providing the American people with full transparency
• 50:59
Speaker 1: as it relates to Jeffrey Epstein while protecting the victims
• 51:03
Speaker 1: codified victim protection. In the United States of America, all
• 51:07
Speaker 1: crime victims have rights pursuant to the Crime Victim's Rights Act,
• 51:11
Speaker 1: including but not limited to, the right to be treated
• 51:14
Speaker 1: with fairness and with respect for the victim's dignity and privacy. Furthermore,
• 51:21
Speaker 1: pursuant HR forty four oh five, the Epstein Files Transparency
• 51:26
Speaker 1: Act two se permitted withholdings one. The Attorney General may
• 51:30
Speaker 1: withhold or addact the segrable portions of records that a
• 51:34
Speaker 1: contain personally identifiable information of victims or victims personal and
• 51:40
Speaker 1: medical files, and similar files, the disclosure of which would
• 51:44
Speaker 1: constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. Based on
• 51:49
Speaker 1: the language of the law, there is no justifiable reason
• 51:52
Speaker 1: for any document to ever be released by the Department
• 51:55
Speaker 1: of Justice without first redacting the name or personally identifiable
• 51:59
Speaker 1: information of all victims. More than a handful of our
• 52:03
Speaker 1: courageous survivors stood on Capitol Hill alongside lawmakers and fervent
• 52:07
Speaker 1: support of this legislation, steadfast in their commitment to transparency.
• 52:12
Speaker 1: But what the world has not yet seen and will
• 52:15
Speaker 1: hopefully never see, are the dozens upon dozens of survivors
• 52:19
Speaker 1: who chose to support them from the shadows, overwhelmed by
• 52:23
Speaker 1: constant fear of exposure, reprisal, and revictimization. That is what
• 52:27
Speaker 1: matters here. Choice. The women were deprived of choice when
• 52:31
Speaker 1: their childhoods were stolen from them by heinous sexual abuse,
• 52:35
Speaker 1: when their early adult dreams of dancing or advancing their
• 52:38
Speaker 1: education or careers were shattered by rape. And for the
• 52:42
Speaker 1: women abroad, when their lifelong desire to emigrate to the
• 52:45
Speaker 1: safety in the US as models became permanently tethered to
• 52:49
Speaker 1: sexual exploitation, the acceptance of which became their lifeline. These
• 52:55
Speaker 1: women now begged the court and begged the United States
• 52:57
Speaker 1: Department of Justice to allow them to cheer use to
• 53:00
Speaker 1: remain protected. They asked that their names and the names
• 53:03
Speaker 1: of all survivors be redacted in any files that are
• 53:06
Speaker 1: provided to Congress or to the public by the Department
• 53:10
Speaker 1: of Justice. Those victims who wish to expose themselves can
• 53:14
Speaker 1: make that personal choice after the files have been released.
• 53:18
Speaker 1: We hereby request that this Court or any other court
• 53:22
Speaker 1: choose to unseal grand jury material. The unsealing be done
• 53:25
Speaker 1: with redactions to protect all victims of Jeffrey Epstein, in
• 53:29
Speaker 1: consultation with the undersigned Council, to ensure that the Department
• 53:32
Speaker 1: of Justice is in possession of the identities of all
• 53:36
Speaker 1: verified victims. Further, to the extent that this request is
• 53:40
Speaker 1: within the jurisdiction of the Court. Undersign requests that the
• 53:43
Speaker 1: Department of Justice be ordered to one consult with Undersigned
• 53:47
Speaker 1: to obtain a confidential list of over three hundred victims
• 53:50
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein. Two, that the list containing the identities
• 53:55
Speaker 1: of victims be forever protected from public disclosure in compliance
• 53:59
Speaker 1: with the Crime Victims Rights ACKed and codified by US
• 54:02
Speaker 1: Code eighteen, Section thirty seven seventy one, and three. That
• 54:06
Speaker 1: this Court retained jurisdiction to impose sanctions on the Department
• 54:11
Speaker 1: of Justice if, after this Court's order, DOJ continues to
• 54:15
Speaker 1: disseminate the identities of victims unredacted, very truly yours, Edwards Henderson, PLLLC.
• 54:25
Speaker 1: All of the information that goes with this episode can
• 54:28
Speaker 1: be found in the description box
