- 0:00Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gadigal Land, Always was, always
- 0:03Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Land Paychecks, I'm out and this is Two Broke Chicks,
- 0:15Speaker 2: the show that shares life lessons and tips to make
- 0:17Speaker 2: you rich in life.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So today we are talking about the things.
- 0:21Speaker 3: We would repurchase a million times over and maybe the
- 0:24Speaker 3: thing we wouldn't. And we've pulled together a list of
- 0:27Speaker 3: our top picks from beauty, Fashion, Home lifestyle, and we've
- 0:32Speaker 3: also pulled in some of your submissions as well. But
- 0:36Speaker 3: before we get into the episode, we have to talk
- 0:38Speaker 3: about our sersion of the.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Week, and I was gonna talk about a different one.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Maybe I still will, but I have to discuss because
- 0:43Speaker 1: I saw this while I was away, so we weren't together.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Did you see the video of Zac Efron and Dylan
- 0:50Speaker 3: Efron golfing?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yes?
- 0:54Speaker 4: Yeah, what is in that family trade?
- 0:59Speaker 1: I have golf now. I want to play golf just
- 1:04Speaker 1: with them.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Though his brother's really his brother Sally, Dylan Efron is
- 1:11Speaker 3: the hottest Efron. I wouldn't shut the door on either
- 1:14Speaker 3: of them. No, in fact, I would like to open
- 1:18Speaker 3: the door for both. Is this a dark romance book?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Maybe we were literally getting told by a friend who
- 1:26Speaker 3: said she stopped reading a book because she got digged
- 1:27Speaker 3: down by two brothers at the same time.
- 1:29Speaker 4: And I'm just saying, you're like that was actually the
- 1:31Speaker 4: fanfic I wrote inspired.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Golf.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, No, that would be bad. Dylan Efron is a
- 1:40Speaker 3: book top girlie. No way, he has read. His favorite
- 1:44Speaker 3: book is Thrown of Glass and Kingdom of Ash. He's
- 1:49Speaker 3: read Fourth Wing, He's read Akata like. He is a
- 1:52Speaker 3: romanticy girlie.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Well, Dylan, can I call me? Do you whn come
- 1:59Speaker 1: on the Basic Bitch Book podcast? Wow?
- 2:01Speaker 3: I know how many times do you think you watched
- 2:05Speaker 3: I saw it.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I watched it at least four times, but I've also
- 2:13Speaker 4: seen it pop up like reposted, and I never skip it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Do you know what it is to me? How many
- 2:17Speaker 1: times in total do you think you've watched them? Do
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know what it is to me?
- 2:23Speaker 4: It's the new Tom Hollands singing Umbrella. You never skip
- 2:27Speaker 4: that now, I'll never skip the for umbrellas playing golf.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Ever, that is the most accurate thing I've ever heard
- 2:34Speaker 1: anyone say.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Moving on, my other obsession of the week is something
- 2:40Speaker 5: that has I'm like a reformed dirty girl, not in
- 2:44Speaker 5: that way don't make it weird.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But like I'm okay, I'm a reformed messy girl.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Let's go, let's go. That's more accurate.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I'm a dirty girl, but I am slowly becoming a
- 2:57Speaker 3: queen girl, not a clean girl, like not like the
- 3:00Speaker 3: Clangela said it, because I'm still a bit of a rat.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But in terms of like environment, I enjoy a clean space.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm not like clem anyway. So one thing that rewired
- 3:11Speaker 1: my brain because I wash. How often do you wash
- 3:14Speaker 1: your sheets? Every one to two weeks?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah? See, I can't communicate how often I washed it
- 3:21Speaker 3: when I was about eighteen, simply because I don't want to. However,
- 3:24Speaker 3: a study by a mattress company, a Merry Sleep, revealed
- 3:29Speaker 3: that unwashed pillowcases can accumulate seventeen thousand times more bacteria
- 3:35Speaker 3: than a toilet seat after just one week.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Ew oh my god. Seventeen thousand times more.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Bacteria than a toilet seat after just one week. If
- 3:50Speaker 3: that doesn't convince you to wash your sheets after one week,
- 3:59Speaker 3: because sometimes I would be a two week girl too, sometimes,
- 4:01Speaker 3: like if I've had a really busy week, I'd be.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Like yeah, yeah, not anymore, yeah, non anymore? Shit yeah,
- 4:08Speaker 1: I feel like weekly thing. Yeah, get it before it
- 4:11Speaker 1: gets to the toilet.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I shouldn't have told you this, shouldn't I But all
- 4:14Speaker 3: you tell me was seventeen thousand times more bacteria than
- 4:16Speaker 3: a toilet seat.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Let's going in the washing machine, baby girl.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yeah, even if you're a bit of a lazy girl,
- 4:22Speaker 3: which is so fine, have another set, Just have a
- 4:25Speaker 3: have another set, and then after two weeks you can
- 4:28Speaker 3: just wash both of them and then you don't have
- 4:30Speaker 3: to do the whole washing root place.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I always think it's good to have a backup set.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I agree, you know, I completely agree. You're going to
- 4:35Speaker 1: hate this. Gan.
- 4:36Speaker 3: That now makes me think, is that on the seventh day,
- 4:39Speaker 3: the night before, you could have been sleeping on fifteen
- 4:43Speaker 3: thousand times more bacteria than a toilet seat.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Like on the sixth night, your pillow's dirty. Yeah, sorry,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I had to bring you down with me. Anyway, back
- 4:50Speaker 1: to the Efron Brothers. What's your obsession of the week? Okay,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'll make mine short and sweet.
- 4:57Speaker 4: A book wreck oh that I read when we were
- 5:00Speaker 4: away in Europe, So easy read and it's deep cuts.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Oh yes, yes, by Holly Brickley.
- 5:08Speaker 3: There was some emotional Yeah, Cataclysm after finishing that book.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it was really really good, but a little TLDR.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It's set in the early two thousands and it's about
- 5:19Speaker 4: this girl named Percy and she is a lover of
- 5:22Speaker 4: like all things music and then she falls in love
- 5:25Speaker 4: with like her high school sweetheart, who is an aspiring
- 5:28Speaker 4: songwriter and musician, and she like helps ghost write some
- 5:32Speaker 4: of his music and then so they're sort of like
- 5:33Speaker 4: forever entwined, and the book like goes into their adulthood
- 5:37Speaker 4: and how they're sort of like too and froing between
- 5:39Speaker 4: their relationship.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But yeah, it's really good smut.
- 5:44Speaker 4: There's sex scenes, but I don't know if I would
- 5:46Speaker 4: classify it as smart in a genre. But there's romance,
- 5:49Speaker 4: and there's romance, and there's sex scenes. But it's really
- 5:53Speaker 4: good and it's really funny. And who did you picture
- 5:55Speaker 4: as the main male character?
- 5:57Speaker 1: The main male.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Character was sort of like a bit of a faceless
- 6:01Speaker 4: figure to me, but I sort of imagined him to
- 6:04Speaker 4: look like one of the.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Gallagher brothers from Oasis, Like that was the vibe I
- 6:09Speaker 1: swear every book I read. That's a romanticy. It's Henry
- 6:12Speaker 1: Cavill with a different haircut.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Anyway, shall we get into items we would repurchase a
- 6:17Speaker 3: million times over?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 6:24Speaker 4: My first product that I would repurchase a million times
- 6:27Speaker 4: over is a skincare product, and it's actually a skincare duo, so.
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's two and one, like two month little duo packs.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I'm kind of cheating, okay, but it is the Amperna
- 6:39Speaker 4: Soothing Duo. I had never heard of this.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Brand before in my life, literally looking it up right now.
- 6:46Speaker 4: But a while ago I had been experiencing perial dermatitis
- 6:51Speaker 4: for months, I think maybe for like eight or so months.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And what does that look like for those who don't know, Yes,
- 6:59Speaker 3: so what does that look a few like?
- 7:00Speaker 4: Yeah, so for anybody who's not familiar with what this is,
- 7:03Speaker 4: because I certainly wasn't before I went through it, but
- 7:06Speaker 4: it's a pretty common skin condition where you get like
- 7:10Speaker 4: little red bumps mainly around the corners of your nose
- 7:15Speaker 4: and also the corners of your mouth, and it's a
- 7:18Speaker 4: result of your skin barrier being compromised and like your
- 7:22Speaker 4: skin's not hydrated enough and it's like little red patches
- 7:27Speaker 4: and little tiny bumps. And it actually was quite painful
- 7:32Speaker 4: and really really hard to get rid of until I
- 7:35Speaker 4: found this product, Like I tried a lot of different things,
- 7:38Speaker 4: and then I went to get a facial and was
- 7:41Speaker 4: actually recommended this particular duo, and I was like, what,
- 7:46Speaker 4: I've never heard of this. They were like trust me,
- 7:49Speaker 4: and I was like, okay, like I trust I was like,
- 7:53Speaker 4: I trust you, of course, but I also was like please,
- 7:56Speaker 4: like because I'd been trying a few different things, and
- 7:58Speaker 4: I was like, maybe this was just my life now.
- 8:01Speaker 4: But this soothing duo comes with two different products. So
- 8:04Speaker 4: the first one is a lightweight soothing emulsion, which is
- 8:09Speaker 4: like a moisturizer, and then the other one is a
- 8:11Speaker 4: probiotic DS soothing serum. So I pretty much stripped back
- 8:17Speaker 4: my entire skincare routine to using a really gentle cleanser
- 8:22Speaker 4: that I'd already been using, then these two products and
- 8:25Speaker 4: SBF and then that was it in the morning, just
- 8:28Speaker 4: washing my face with water, and within three to four
- 8:31Speaker 4: weeks it had cleared up and it hasn't come back,
- 8:35Speaker 4: which I was like, okay, because I'd tried a few
- 8:38Speaker 4: other things and I'd sort of like use them and
- 8:40Speaker 4: it seems like it was helping to soothe some of
- 8:43Speaker 4: the irritation.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And then it would flare up again.
- 8:45Speaker 4: But this duo is like the one thing that I
- 8:49Speaker 4: found that actually has kept it at bay, So I
- 8:53Speaker 4: will definitely repurchase this.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's amazing And I know how much
- 8:59Speaker 3: as well that was like just frustrating you as well,
- 9:02Speaker 3: because as with all things like yes, pimples and skincare,
- 9:08Speaker 3: it can sound and feel like a trivial thing, but
- 9:11Speaker 3: it really does affect like your confidence and how you
- 9:15Speaker 3: feel in your own skin. And whilst no one else
- 9:20Speaker 3: with the right head on their shoulders would ever notice
- 9:23Speaker 3: acting your skin on someone else and be like ill yack,
- 9:27Speaker 3: it's still something you notice about yourself that can affect
- 9:30Speaker 3: your confidence exactly.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And so but it's one hundred and sixteen dollars.
- 9:34Speaker 4: For the duo, so I would say a little bit
- 9:38Speaker 4: expensive for two products, but I will say absolutely worth.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It works and I've been using it for I think
- 9:44Speaker 4: about maybe like six months now and I haven't had
- 9:49Speaker 4: to repurchase it, so oh wow, a little bit.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Goes along way. That makes me so happy.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, I'll still be playing with some other
- 9:57Speaker 4: like skin.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You know, we love skincare.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah, if id's something that works and as well, it's
- 10:01Speaker 3: doing it like a certain job exactly all right. My
- 10:05Speaker 3: item I would repurchase a million times over is the
- 10:09Speaker 3: all for Mimi tank. Oh my gosh, this tank, like
- 10:15Speaker 3: the viral all for Mimi tank. I have seen every
- 10:20Speaker 3: girl on their dog talking about like this thing sells
- 10:22Speaker 3: out in two seconds.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and I get why.
- 10:26Speaker 3: So if you told me that I would be swearing
- 10:29Speaker 3: by a sixty dollars plane white tank like six months ago,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I would have called you a line.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I would have said, shut.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Your goddamn mouth, which I said, what went wrong? I
- 10:43Speaker 3: get it? I get it. So I got the white
- 10:47Speaker 3: tank and the black tank. And when I tell you,
- 10:50Speaker 3: I basically wore it every single day in Europe. I
- 10:54Speaker 3: will probably be wearing it every single day in summer.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I'm wearing it today. Is quite literally the perfect white tank.
- 11:04Speaker 3: And that's one of those things which is hard to
- 11:06Speaker 3: come by. It's the exact same thing as the perfect
- 11:08Speaker 3: white T shirt.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There's a few things to it that we've got to
- 11:12Speaker 1: ensure work together.
- 11:14Speaker 3: The material soft as fuck, like it is so soft
- 11:20Speaker 3: and nice feeling on the skin.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It is how do I say this?
- 11:26Speaker 3: It is a stretchy material that holds you. It's not
- 11:31Speaker 3: like constricting I don't feel like I'm wearing shape.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Wear, but I feel shaped. Does that make sense?
- 11:39Speaker 3: Like I feel like everything's held together, but I'm not
- 11:43Speaker 3: struggling to breathe. I'm not uncomfortable, and it doesn't cut
- 11:45Speaker 3: in anywhere, and the straps are like a good length.
- 11:51Speaker 3: It just works and I am obsessed with it. And
- 11:55Speaker 3: as I mentioned, I am not necessarily clean scale. Like
- 11:58Speaker 3: sometimes if I'm feeling lazy, this would literally make sour
- 12:01Speaker 3: breakout to hives. Everything gets chucked in the washing machine.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Sometimes some whites might make it in there with colors.
- 12:07Speaker 3: This tank has made me wash my whites separately religiously
- 12:13Speaker 3: because of the tank, because I want to preserve this
- 12:16Speaker 3: tank so fucking bad, and I don't want to I
- 12:19Speaker 3: don't want to pay sixty dollars and.
- 12:21Speaker 1: They're hard to come by. Yeah, so I might know.
- 12:25Speaker 1: How do you go?
- 12:26Speaker 4: And what have what's been the reviews around wearing it
- 12:30Speaker 4: with or without a bra?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Well, I'm not wearing it with a bra right now.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Without a bra is great?
- 12:36Speaker 3: With a bra also great, huh if you have if
- 12:40Speaker 3: you're part of the Big Titty Committee, yep, if you
- 12:44Speaker 3: size down, I feel like it's enough hold and enough
- 12:50Speaker 3: or if you kind of true to size, it's got
- 12:52Speaker 3: enough structure in it that I feel like, potentially, if
- 12:55Speaker 3: you're comfortable, you don't actually need to wear bra. But
- 12:59Speaker 3: I also understand and that a bra is a source
- 13:02Speaker 3: of comfort and security for the TI Goal Midi Committee
- 13:05Speaker 3: that it also works with a bra. So I'm like,
- 13:08Speaker 3: turn out of ten, say for day, fuck keep dead
- 13:11Speaker 3: with what to do in Darlin.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, honestly great work. I get why they sell out
- 13:15Speaker 1: in two seconds.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 1: If anything happened to this tank, I think I would cry. Yeah.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I love it.
- 13:23Speaker 3: It's the perfect length, it's not too short, it's not
- 13:25Speaker 3: too long, and all you need.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Is like jacket and you know what as well, their
- 13:31Speaker 1: pajamas are great. Ah, she's done a good job. Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 4: My next thing that I would repurchase a million times over.
- 13:39Speaker 4: And I can't believe oh I'm saying this, Oh I
- 13:42Speaker 4: got another one, and that I ever would say this? What?
- 13:46Speaker 4: But it is then Espresso Virtuo pop coffee machine.
- 13:51Speaker 1: She's converted people. She's converted. It only took me seventy
- 13:55Speaker 1: four years, but we go to their people. Hit me.
- 13:58Speaker 4: If anybody has listened to the podcast for years in
- 14:02Speaker 4: the past, you would know that I was a staunch
- 14:06Speaker 4: buy coffee every single day.
- 14:09Speaker 1: She was an anti coffee machine queen.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and that was part of my budget, part of
- 14:13Speaker 4: my everyday routine that without fail, I was spending at
- 14:17Speaker 4: least eight dollars on a coffee admitted I would go
- 14:20Speaker 4: up to fifteen if I needed too, but eight dollars
- 14:25Speaker 4: a day on coffee, and was very very happy with that.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I do live in a very small apartment that just
- 14:32Speaker 4: has a little kitchenette, so whenever I'd looked at coffee machines,
- 14:36Speaker 4: I was like, there's nowhere I can actually fit this.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Everything is too bulky, it's not gonna work. I also
- 14:41Speaker 4: really hate when there's like too much clutter on any
- 14:44Speaker 4: of my bench spaces. And I really was just like
- 14:46Speaker 4: shutting down the idea.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Yeah, she was. I also had it. It's like someone
- 14:50Speaker 1: recommended this product.
- 14:52Speaker 3: To her before and she said no multiple times.
- 14:56Speaker 4: And yeah, and I also was just like, the coffee's
- 14:59Speaker 4: not gonna taste, it's good, like you know, I know exactly.
- 15:01Speaker 1: How I sit. Anyway.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Then I got this Virtuo Pop coffee machine right, and
- 15:09Speaker 4: it's so it's quite little, so it actually fits well
- 15:15Speaker 4: in my space and it's a coffee pod machine. So
- 15:18Speaker 4: I have spoken about this with some other people, and
- 15:20Speaker 4: I think if you love the full like barista experience
- 15:23Speaker 4: and you want to do all the beans and everything yourself,
- 15:25Speaker 4: maybe this isn't your thing. And I actually think that
- 15:30Speaker 4: the coffee made from this machine is as good as
- 15:34Speaker 4: any coffee that I've bought at a cafe.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I mean, I'm a simple girl. I like an ic latte.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I mean I'm a shamber girl. It's not anything like.
- 15:43Speaker 6: Shimberlaine, not anything crazy, But I have found that the
- 15:46Speaker 6: quality of the coffee is just as delicious as what
- 15:50Speaker 6: I had been spending eight dollars on every single day,
- 15:54Speaker 6: the difference being that this coffee machine costs two hundred
- 15:56Speaker 6: and twenty nine dollars.
- 15:58Speaker 1: It also very regularly is sale, so keep an eye
- 16:01Speaker 1: out for that. And then the coffee.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Pods are twelve dollars for ten pods, so that's one
- 16:08Speaker 4: dollar and twenty cents per coffee instead of eight. I'm
- 16:14Speaker 4: just gonna say, I stand corrected. I stand corrected.
- 16:18Speaker 3: And so if you could just read this public apology
- 16:21Speaker 3: script for me, they're just following elic. I would like
- 16:25Speaker 3: to share cherry for your year's recommendation and you ray,
- 16:30Speaker 3: if you could just read that out for me, they'd
- 16:33Speaker 3: be great.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Thank you. Well I feel vindicated. Yeah, so, but do
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know what I went through the same thing. Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I think it's a canon event.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I think like buying the takeaway coffee is like the
- 16:45Speaker 3: main character arc which, like, again, I get it, I
- 16:48Speaker 3: love it, and I still love every Saturday morning. I
- 16:51Speaker 3: love walking up to the grumpy baker and getting my
- 16:54Speaker 3: chalky croissant and my obnoxious ice latte.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but once you get a coffee machine at home.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Also, the morning routine has just simplified by at least
- 17:05Speaker 4: ten steps.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And that's crazy. So yeah, recommend.
- 17:13Speaker 3: All right, Okay, my next thing that I would repurchase
- 17:17Speaker 3: a million times over. I am putting this in the
- 17:20Speaker 3: category of expensive shit. I wish I never tried, because
- 17:24Speaker 3: now I have to repurchase it because I love it
- 17:27Speaker 3: and it is the Keristar's Nutritive eight hour Magic.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Night hair serum. Oh no, yeah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 17:34Speaker 1: In advance.
- 17:35Speaker 5: When this has Magic Night Serum in the name, I
- 17:39Speaker 5: truly believe.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Black magic was involved. Potion burn Carristars at the stake.
- 17:45Speaker 3: They're witches witch honestly, thank God, the Salem Trials are
- 17:51Speaker 3: over because Charistars.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Would be canceled like they.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I don't know what they put in this bottle. I
- 17:58Speaker 3: don't know, cause this shit is so fucking good. I
- 18:03Speaker 3: apologize to my potty mouth.
- 18:05Speaker 1: This product is ninety two dollars.
- 18:07Speaker 3: However, the reason why I'm putting it in this episode
- 18:10Speaker 3: is because it's after payday and it's twenty percent off
- 18:13Speaker 3: at a door beauty right now. So it's still expensive,
- 18:17Speaker 3: but it's it's twenty percent cheaper, and it's like seventy
- 18:20Speaker 3: two or seventy three dollars.
- 18:22Speaker 1: It lasts a really long time.
- 18:24Speaker 3: So basically, this serum is you be little dot on
- 18:27Speaker 3: your fingers and then you run it through.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Your hair, dry hair. That's it.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I love one the simplicity of that step by step process.
- 18:36Speaker 3: One of my biggest grievances with hair products is how
- 18:40Speaker 3: many steps it takes. For example, if it's a hair mask,
- 18:42Speaker 3: You've put it in the shower and then you gotta
- 18:44Speaker 3: wait fifteen minutes.
- 18:45Speaker 1: What am I doing the shower for fifteen minutes with
- 18:47Speaker 1: my head out? With my head out? What am I
- 18:48Speaker 1: doing the shower fifteen minutes? Yeah? And that much time
- 18:51Speaker 1: alone with my thoughts, No, thank you. Are you gonna
- 18:54Speaker 1: pay for the therapy session after that? No?
- 18:56Speaker 3: And then the other one is like, you have to
- 18:58Speaker 3: use it with this, but you can't use conditioner, and
- 19:00Speaker 3: you also can't go in the sun. I'm make sure
- 19:02Speaker 3: you hop on one leg three times before it works.
- 19:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh my.
- 19:05Speaker 3: God, that the simplicity of this process of a little
- 19:07Speaker 3: pea sized mount I probably use a bit more, but
- 19:09Speaker 3: I'm very Moorish and I've got a lot of hair,
- 19:12Speaker 3: so and.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Then you run that through and I kid you not.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I noticed a difference in my hair after trying it
- 19:20Speaker 3: for the first time.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I don't understand how it's so good.
- 19:25Speaker 3: And when I got back from Europe, I don't think
- 19:29Speaker 3: my hair has ever looked so tasty to a horse.
- 19:32Speaker 1: In my entire life.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Like I was walking bass horses being like, no, farl up,
- 19:37Speaker 3: don't like you're not allowed spirit stop every no.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Spirit year a lot anyway, but literally heaven on earth.
- 19:48Speaker 3: And I came back and my hair was so so
- 19:50Speaker 3: dry from the sun and the salt of literally swimming
- 19:53Speaker 3: every day for six weeks that I was like, I
- 19:55Speaker 3: don't know how we're going to come back from this,
- 19:58Speaker 3: I doused my hair in the for one night. We're
- 20:01Speaker 3: back wow, and I was like, I truly, truly believe
- 20:07Speaker 3: everyone that tries this will like it. Yeah, and I
- 20:10Speaker 3: don't know if there's like a travel size or a
- 20:12Speaker 3: smaller size available. I do always recommend trying that first
- 20:17Speaker 3: with really expensive products, because I do get nervous about
- 20:19Speaker 3: people spending so much money and the off chance of
- 20:22Speaker 3: them not liking it.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but stuff like that can of pair.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Yes, And of course everyone's hair is so different, so
- 20:28Speaker 3: it did work so beautifully with mine, but there's you know,
- 20:32Speaker 3: never know, right. However, here are some of the reviews
- 20:35Speaker 3: that I pulled from the Adore beauty website. My friend
- 20:37Speaker 3: recommended it and now I can't stop using it.
- 20:40Speaker 1: That's me to you, guys.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Another one, This makes my hair so so soft. It's
- 20:44Speaker 3: called an overnight serum because you do need to leave
- 20:46Speaker 3: it in for about eight hours before you feel the effect.
- 20:49Speaker 1: But it's amazing. So I thought that was a good note. Yeah,
- 20:51Speaker 1: that's good to know. However, my favorite was from someone
- 20:54Speaker 1: called Petal Pop.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Here's what she said, if I just had a dollar
- 20:58Speaker 3: for every hair product I've over the years, well, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 3: the saying I'd be rich by now. So I'm pretty
- 21:03Speaker 3: skeptical of most hair products I try, because not only
- 21:07Speaker 3: have I bought literally hundreds over the years, I'm in
- 21:09Speaker 3: my fifties. In my experience, the majority really don't deliver.
- 21:14Speaker 3: There's really only one true test of whether you think
- 21:16Speaker 3: a product is good or not, and it's the simplest
- 21:19Speaker 3: of them all.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Will I buy this again? A see how it's dying
- 21:23Speaker 1: in Ye? Yes, she's on the payroll.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she's the third Brooke Chick pet apop. I've
- 21:28Speaker 3: been trying to grow my hair long for about four years,
- 21:30Speaker 3: and I really think this has helped. Of course, this
- 21:33Speaker 3: product doesn't make your hair grow faster, but I do
- 21:36Speaker 3: think it improved my ends, making them stronger and less
- 21:40Speaker 3: prone to breakage. The overall length of my hair feels
- 21:43Speaker 3: in better condition than before, and as a result, it
- 21:45Speaker 3: looks like my length is finally starting to well lengthen. So,
- 21:51Speaker 3: despite its painful price point, the answer to the ultimate
- 21:54Speaker 3: test of whether I'll buy this product again a resounding yes.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So yeah, that is my product that I unfortunately will
- 22:03Speaker 3: repurchase again.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Love.
- 22:06Speaker 1: It'll probably be a sale event stock up.
- 22:09Speaker 3: One that I always think Okay, we've got a sale event.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Is it on sale?
- 22:14Speaker 3: Because it is, it's very expensive and I'm sorry, or.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Even put it on like a wish list if people, yeah,
- 22:21Speaker 4: like a birthday, yeah, Christmas.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Is call like ask for some gift cards exactly. Yeah, No,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I think that's a really good idea.
- 22:27Speaker 4: My last thing that I would repurchase a million times
- 22:30Speaker 4: over is a piece of clothing.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You spoke about the perfect tank. I going to speak
- 22:35Speaker 1: about the perfect T shirt.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Oh, and it's actually the Glassons oversized boxy T shirt.
- 22:42Speaker 4: It's nineteen dollars and ninety nine cents and it is
- 22:45Speaker 4: the perfect boxy boyfriend sized T shirt.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Where do the sleeves come down? To atualize it with me?
- 22:53Speaker 1: On me, it comes down to about my elbow? Oh sexy.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:58Speaker 4: So it's a really good boxy fit. Also, it's like
- 23:02Speaker 4: quite a good length. It's not cropped or anything, so
- 23:05Speaker 4: you can tuck it into jeans or like wear it
- 23:08Speaker 4: however you like. And it's really really comfortable because it
- 23:12Speaker 4: is one hundred percent cotton. It's also quite thick, so
- 23:15Speaker 4: it has that like really good structured yeah fit. And
- 23:19Speaker 4: sometimes like if you wear a T shirt and you
- 23:20Speaker 4: can see like your bra through it and stuff like that,
- 23:22Speaker 4: Like it doesn't have any of those issues.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Would you say this is the perfect plain white tea
- 23:28Speaker 3: for big bus.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I would say that, you know.
- 23:33Speaker 4: What, You know what, I would say that because it
- 23:37Speaker 4: is the perfect white tea for people with big bus,
- 23:40Speaker 4: because it still gives you that boxy effect a lot
- 23:44Speaker 4: of the time with those sorts of shapes. It's advertised
- 23:48Speaker 4: as boxy and the arms are boxy on me, but
- 23:50Speaker 4: then I put it on and it's still not as
- 23:52Speaker 4: boxy and loose as I would like.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Across the chest, the chest, the tanks, yeah, across dam tank,
- 23:58Speaker 1: across simps.
- 24:00Speaker 4: But yeah, excellent quality, and it's one of their pieces
- 24:03Speaker 4: that's sort of like a mainstay. So I've been I
- 24:07Speaker 4: think I bought my first one maybe like in twenty
- 24:10Speaker 4: twenty or twenty twenty one. Wow, I've repurchased it in
- 24:14Speaker 4: different colors since then.
- 24:15Speaker 3: So they have it in like a white, are black,
- 24:17Speaker 3: a gray. They also have a stripe question how does
- 24:20Speaker 3: it go if you were in the white tea with
- 24:21Speaker 3: a black bar under it?
- 24:23Speaker 1: I found that it was fine, gorgeous. Yeah, ten out
- 24:25Speaker 1: of ten, Yeah, take fourteen of them. Love a plain
- 24:29Speaker 1: white tea. Honestly, big one, big fun, big one. Okay,
- 24:32Speaker 1: what's your last one?
- 24:34Speaker 3: Okay? My last one is actually four products, but it
- 24:40Speaker 3: all sizes, it all ties in together, and it is
- 24:46Speaker 3: my top four products for a cozy home routine.
- 24:49Speaker 1: So picture this.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It's Friday, You've just come home from work, but thunder rain,
- 24:58Speaker 3: You've got.
- 24:59Speaker 1: No plans and takeaways on the way. Are you going
- 25:02Speaker 1: to watch the summer I turned pretty? Maybe you'll watch
- 25:05Speaker 1: New York Minute. Who knows, Harry Potter.
- 25:09Speaker 3: It's not for me to judge, but here are the
- 25:12Speaker 3: four products that I use religiously for me to have
- 25:18Speaker 3: a cozy home routine evening that I wake up and I'm.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Like, oh god, that was good. Good, that was good. God,
- 25:26Speaker 1: that was good.
- 25:31Speaker 3: That was so good.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Oh my god, God, I don't think I'm ever going
- 25:37Speaker 6: to be able to achieve that ever again.
- 25:40Speaker 3: That was objectively a good Jennifer Collage pressure in that moment.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I'm not even going to attempt to do it again.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I don't, I can't. That was lightning in a bottle literally. Okay.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Number one, Oh, I'm so happy we have that on camera.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Okay, So number one and probably the most important an
- 26:00Speaker 3: item in this routine, incense or a candle. But I
- 26:04Speaker 3: definitely would recommend incense more because it's so affordable.
- 26:10Speaker 1: You can literally.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Find it anywhere online or at like the dollar store,
- 26:15Speaker 3: but wherever you want to get it right, you can.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Go as cheap or as bougie as you want with
- 26:19Speaker 4: exactly exactly, but essentially, at the end of the day,
- 26:24Speaker 4: it does the same thing.
- 26:25Speaker 1: There's probably a difference.
- 26:26Speaker 3: In terms of like how long it burns for and stuff,
- 26:29Speaker 3: but I've never really gone into that day. I'm just like, wait,
- 26:32Speaker 3: go smelling stick. I want my smelly stick. Incense, known
- 26:38Speaker 3: for its like fragrant smoke, has actually been used for
- 26:42Speaker 3: thousands of years with here's a fun fact, roots in
- 26:46Speaker 3: ancient civilizations with ties to Egypt and India in thirty
- 26:50Speaker 3: three hundred BC. Wow, yeah, she's an old gow. She's
- 26:55Speaker 3: seen some teens. So originally it played a role in
- 26:59Speaker 3: religious and spiritual rituals, with resins like merv frankincense and
- 27:05Speaker 3: copal were burned to honor the.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Gods and send prayers skywards.
- 27:10Speaker 3: And I feel like that ties in so much to
- 27:12Speaker 3: why I love it, because it does feel like a
- 27:14Speaker 3: spiritual cleansing whenever I'm burning incense, I'm like, that's the
- 27:19Speaker 3: end of the day. It's either at the start of
- 27:21Speaker 3: a day or the end of the day. You never
- 27:23Speaker 3: do like if I I if I got up in
- 27:26Speaker 3: the middle of a meeting and started burning incense, I
- 27:28Speaker 3: think I'd throw up. It doesn't work like that. It
- 27:30Speaker 3: doesn't work like.
- 27:31Speaker 1: That, and a space needs to be clean.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's very much the start of the day
- 27:36Speaker 3: at the end of the day, I think. Hence why
- 27:38Speaker 3: it's in my cozy evening routine. Incense has been proven
- 27:41Speaker 3: to evoke positive psychological effects, so it engages the brain's
- 27:48Speaker 3: limbic system. I know this is me like literally geeking
- 27:52Speaker 3: out over incense because I love it so much. But
- 27:55Speaker 3: that system is responsible for emotions and memory. So the
- 28:00Speaker 3: romatic compounds in incense interact with the limbic system, a
- 28:04Speaker 3: part of the brain that plays a crucial role in
- 28:06Speaker 3: emotional responses and memory formation. This interaction can lead to
- 28:10Speaker 3: feelings of relaxation, happiness, and a sense of wellbeing.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I love so and it smells good, and it smells good.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So not only do I feel like witchy and like smool, and.
- 28:22Speaker 3: It actually is proven to give your brain happy juices,
- 28:26Speaker 3: which we all need, which.
- 28:27Speaker 1: We all know a lot. We love a happy brain juice. Okay.
- 28:33Speaker 3: The couch blanket an art form and important.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You gotta get one that is warm and nice.
- 28:42Speaker 3: No acrylic fibers in sight. It has to be warm,
- 28:47Speaker 3: it has to be cozy, and it has to be
- 28:49Speaker 3: natural fibers. And the one that I will recommend until
- 28:52Speaker 3: the day I am lowered into the ground of this
- 28:54Speaker 3: god forsaken earth is the Ikea Will blanket.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It is one hundred percent wool and ninety nine.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Dollars, so good, such a good price point, and I
- 29:05Speaker 3: literally use it every single night. And even if I
- 29:07Speaker 3: come home and my boyfriend's using it, I'm like, come on.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Cop it up. That's not yours, that's mine. By one
- 29:12Speaker 1: if you want one. Yeah, And they're like pretty as well.
- 29:16Speaker 1: They're so when you drape the mot the couch like
- 29:18Speaker 1: it looks nice and homeying.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Literally my cats are obsessed with it. They sleep on it.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I have good taste, exactly.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Number three smart bulbs very important to the cozy evening
- 29:29Speaker 3: routine because the big light illegal.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I do you know what I reckon?
- 29:35Speaker 3: I could take the light bulbs out of all of
- 29:36Speaker 3: my ceiling and I'd never even notice, and I would
- 29:39Speaker 3: never even notice.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Big light illegal And these are perfect for creating.
- 29:43Speaker 3: The ambiance that is the cozy evening, whether it's you're putting.
- 29:48Speaker 1: On the orange lamp or whether you're watching like Little Mermaid.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Maybe you change them to blue, whatever you like. Perfection.
- 29:55Speaker 3: And then, last, but not least, is the fit must
- 29:59Speaker 3: be a matching set of pajamas. And personally, my favorite
- 30:04Speaker 3: pajamas as of this day and age, these Stacks pajamas.
- 30:09Speaker 3: These Stacks pajamas I got in pr for the first
- 30:13Speaker 3: time and I have bought them in every single style
- 30:18Speaker 3: for winter and summer. So to sum up my cozy
- 30:22Speaker 3: evening routine items incense, a wall, blanket, smart bulbs, and jummies.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Ten out of ten. Yeah, the perfect night is awaiting.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And guess what I.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Think I'm going to do it tonight?
- 30:37Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna do it.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna hit. Shall we quickfire do what we
- 30:43Speaker 3: wouldn't repurchase?
- 30:45Speaker 4: Okay, so a product that I wouldn't repurchase, And I
- 30:48Speaker 4: do feel guilty saying this, but it's something that I
- 30:52Speaker 4: really wanted to work, and it just didn't work for me. Personally,
- 30:56Speaker 4: and it's the Ole Henrickson Banana Bright Plus Vitamin C
- 31:00Speaker 4: sea stick. It's one of those like color neutralizing sticks
- 31:04Speaker 4: that you're supposed to help neutralize any darkness that you
- 31:08Speaker 4: have under your eyes.
- 31:09Speaker 1: So if you have, you know, like blue or purple.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Eyebags supposed to help with that. They do have like
- 31:15Speaker 3: different shades that work with like the different color that
- 31:18Speaker 3: you have or like the shade of your skin.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I tried it and it.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Just didn't work for me. I really wanted it to work.
- 31:25Speaker 4: But I think as well, because I have puffiness as
- 31:27Speaker 4: well as color, I was like, I feel like I
- 31:30Speaker 4: can still see it.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I don't know, I think as well, like under ee
- 31:35Speaker 3: darkness is genetics. Yeah, so I think we see a
- 31:40Speaker 3: lot of things and there are definitely products out there
- 31:42Speaker 3: I'm sure that do help with that.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And maybe that product did work for others as well.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Like that's to say that it's all bad, right, but
- 31:49Speaker 3: I feel like whenever I've looked into it deeply as well,
- 31:53Speaker 3: it's like it's your genetics, babe.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And I also get a red undereye color corrector and
- 31:58Speaker 1: then check some concealer over it, and that's how you're
- 32:00Speaker 1: gonna get rid of them. Yeah, exactly. Maybe your iron
- 32:03Speaker 1: deficion was definitely off for me.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Get an iron infusion, Like my first step shouldn't be
- 32:10Speaker 4: what's a product I can find?
- 32:12Speaker 1: No talk about it? Okay, exposed on the podcat my cheek? Okay,
- 32:19Speaker 1: what's yours?
- 32:19Speaker 3: Okay?
- 32:20Speaker 1: Mine that I would not repurchase is the holiday wardrobe.
- 32:24Speaker 1: So it's not necessarily one product.
- 32:27Speaker 3: It's the idea, I agree, And it's the fact that
- 32:31Speaker 3: you don't need to buy a whole new wardrobe before
- 32:33Speaker 3: you go on a holiday.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Because you're not gonna wear half of it anyway.
- 32:36Speaker 3: And this is something that I hurt my own feelings
- 32:38Speaker 3: with and it was like, oh, I can wear this
- 32:42Speaker 3: to this, and I wear this to this, you don't
- 32:44Speaker 3: need it, because I literally thought I was going to
- 32:47Speaker 3: be serving fucking Europinterest girl the whole trip. No, I
- 32:52Speaker 3: was wearing a tail around my waist and looking like
- 32:55Speaker 3: a dad in a cap like And that's the thing,
- 32:57Speaker 3: because you're moving around so much, you're doing all this shit,
- 33:01Speaker 3: half of it you don't need. I do think, yes,
- 33:05Speaker 3: maybe buy like one or two things that you could
- 33:08Speaker 3: wear it all nice dinner or that if you do
- 33:10Speaker 3: really need to replace you know, your denim shorts that
- 33:13Speaker 3: are falling apart, whatever it is, but I think it
- 33:18Speaker 3: ends up being a complete waste of money when you
- 33:20Speaker 3: feel like you need to buy a whole new wardrobe
- 33:22Speaker 3: for a holiday, because then you get back and you're like, oh.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what am I going to do with it? The
- 33:26Speaker 1: other thing is.
- 33:27Speaker 3: What happened, like is what I fucked up with was
- 33:31Speaker 3: like buying these things and then having the time to
- 33:34Speaker 3: return it then is like an added stressor on it,
- 33:37Speaker 3: being like, fuck, I've got to return these I've got
- 33:39Speaker 3: to take this to the post office.
- 33:40Speaker 1: And before you.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Going on a holiday, there's like seven billion things you
- 33:42Speaker 3: need to do. So I think that's like my life
- 33:44Speaker 3: lesson and my thing that I wouldn't repurchase is like,
- 33:46Speaker 3: don't do don't fall into the oh I need new
- 33:49Speaker 3: clothes my holiday trap because you don't you definitely I don't.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It's me. It's me. I'm a problem. That is a rap.
- 33:57Speaker 1: It is a wrap for today's episode two Chick Chicks.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Thank you so much for having us in your Earhels Chicks.
- 34:02Speaker 1: We love to be here, we do, and thank you.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Am I get made for making this episode Two bro
- 34:07Speaker 1: Chicks happen.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Feel free to comment below on Spotify as well what
- 34:10Speaker 3: you would repurchase because we love seeing that shit.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Yes all the Rex and rate.
- 34:15Speaker 3: My Jennifer Coolidge person impersonation out of ten. Don't do
- 34:18Speaker 3: anything lower than a seven because it'll hurt my feelings.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Very automatically deleted bae, Love
- 34:26Speaker 3: You cheeks, Bye bye
