Adsorption, Molecular Sieves, and Pressure/Temperature Swing Cycles: Isotherms, Breakthrough Curves, Skarstrom Cycles, Air Separation, and Hydrogen PSA
At a coastal hydrogen and LNG complex, two solid-bed separation units are misbehaving on the same shift: a ten-bed hydrogen PSA is leaking four parts per million of carbon monoxide into a five-nines purity header right after every pressure-equalisation step, and a 4A molecular-sieve gas dryer is breaking through moisture two hours early with a flattened regeneration temperature peak. To find out why, we build adsorption and cyclic fixed-bed engineering from first principles.
