- 1:47Speaker 4: They put it together. They're like, yo, you want to

- 2:20Speaker 5: he knows the old connection of you and the music
- 2:23Speaker 5: and growing up, so you know how much it meant
- 2:25Speaker 5: so to me. And then I saw baby Sham last
- 2:29Speaker 5: night what was doing in the day, So you know,
- 2:33Speaker 5: skame one full circle. He's the perfect thing to.
- 2:38Speaker 6: How more legendary could this trip be after the night
- 2:43Speaker 6: after the fact, So thank you for joining us for
- 2:45Speaker 6: I appreciate it.
- 2:45Speaker 5: You welcome and I'm not being tough, be here representing
- 2:48Speaker 5: for the music and culture appreciate.
- 2:50Speaker 3: So let's jump into the So you call yourself the
- 2:52Speaker 3: poor people's governor, Oh what.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Makes you champion that? Like? What makes you take that title?
- 2:58Speaker 5: Well, I'm a poor person child. My parents came from
- 3:03Speaker 5: humble beginning. I'm from the ghetto as well, just like
- 3:07Speaker 5: all these struggling kids out yea, I was one of
- 3:09Speaker 5: them on the road, not knowing where the next men
- 3:12Speaker 5: coming from.
- 3:13Speaker 4: So I lived that life after poor people.
- 3:16Speaker 5: So when I came to and I start first, I
- 3:19Speaker 5: started off, it was really singing about when I was
- 3:23Speaker 5: a user, lived on the gully. I used to wear weapons.
- 3:25Speaker 5: I could I see my buddy and person that far
- 3:28Speaker 5: from me. So so I was singing about my struggle.
- 3:32Speaker 5: And then when I reached the studio and I said,
- 3:36Speaker 5: don't the goali and them suffering.
- 3:38Speaker 4: They never want to hear that.
- 3:39Speaker 5: So when I said the work place, my shop, so
- 3:43Speaker 5: I thought that was the thing to sing about, you know,
- 3:46Speaker 5: put don bully all these things. So till I burst
- 3:51Speaker 5: now and the agricultural artists, like God itself can Lucian
- 3:58Speaker 5: that there was denouncing the guns songs. They was trying
- 4:02Speaker 5: to get the nation to sing more cultural music. So
- 4:04Speaker 5: they said they're not sharing stage with the men who
- 4:06Speaker 5: were endorsing on music. And I know that this wasn't
- 4:12Speaker 5: really exactly what I learned to.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Do in music.
- 4:15Speaker 5: The first central music I was singing about was roots
- 4:17Speaker 5: and culture and suffering and the poverty.
- 4:20Speaker 4: So I just go back and said, okay.
- 4:22Speaker 5: They said they want roots, reality and culture ruts reality,
- 4:26Speaker 5: your culture, long time me of it? You were, And
- 4:30Speaker 5: then I started to say, the Lord, here's my my salvation.
- 4:34Speaker 5: How much she's not you know, good mood? And then no,
- 4:37Speaker 5: I didn't want the poor people fed up? So when
- 4:41Speaker 5: I did that one though, that was like one of
- 4:44Speaker 5: my first real monster of social commentary, and like, don't
- 4:49Speaker 5: navigate to on all those before, but the poor people
- 4:51Speaker 5: fed up.
- 4:52Speaker 4: One it was banned.
- 4:54Speaker 5: So you know, when they band songs, it gets more
- 4:56Speaker 5: attention and it cous controversy, so the some even get
- 4:59Speaker 5: the cause you came. Band music became a lockdown music.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Music is in the air, so it just made the
- 5:06Speaker 5: sound bigger. And in the intronal, I said, this is
- 5:08Speaker 5: Rodney Price. Poor people.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Governor is just a a term to myself.
- 5:14Speaker 5: This is right the price, poor people Governor, and from
- 5:16Speaker 5: I said that in that song nineteen ninety five, the
- 5:20Speaker 5: people kept calling me that, So it's a title that
- 5:23Speaker 5: I took upon myself. But the people and dust it is.
- 5:26Speaker 5: The people kept saying poor people governor, poor people governor.
- 5:29Speaker 5: And then know, I'm always involved in charities and helping
- 5:33Speaker 5: back young artists and doing bad things for the country
- 5:36Speaker 5: and the people whenever I can know ohever I can.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So the people see me as a champion for them,
- 5:43Speaker 5: and I love that idea of championing for the people.
- 5:46Speaker 4: For the people is who made me.
- 5:48Speaker 5: That's why I'm always in Jamaica, because I'm just this
- 5:51Speaker 5: Jamaican who rooted in this country and in this culture.
- 5:54Speaker 5: And I have to stay awake and watch over the people.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Got the people struggling like is my So that's what
- 6:02Speaker 5: the world poor people government thing sticks. And I kept
- 6:05Speaker 5: singing looking through my eyes and any time, and I
- 6:09Speaker 5: continue to do social commentary. And I became a legend
- 6:12Speaker 5: in that singing for the people, the voice of the viceless,
- 6:16Speaker 5: born as a sufferer, as a sufferer, all of those
- 6:19Speaker 5: music get the dictionary.
- 6:21Speaker 4: So that's what made them up. Poor people government. We
- 6:26Speaker 4: see a lot of poverty, unfortunately in Jamaica and a
- 6:28Speaker 4: lot of different islands.
- 6:30Speaker 3: What do you think can be so solutions to raise
- 6:34Speaker 3: people out of poverty and not have so much poverty
- 6:38Speaker 3: which leads to violence, which leads to.
- 6:40Speaker 4: A whole other different things.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Well, I think most of the countries they are trying
- 6:44Speaker 5: to build from the top, and you can't be the
- 6:47Speaker 5: house from the roof. You gotta help the common man
- 6:51Speaker 5: and the common woman. And I don't think the government
- 6:54Speaker 5: trying to change their situation. They are trying to help
- 6:58Speaker 5: their situations, like you're trying to help me in the
- 7:02Speaker 5: situation that I am, instead of trying to help me out.
- 7:06Speaker 5: So they will assist you to go from one point
- 7:12Speaker 5: to another in your situation, but they are not helping
- 7:15Speaker 5: you to get out out of it. So the people
- 7:18Speaker 5: have to think of self reliance because there won't ever
- 7:22Speaker 5: be a day when the government's gonna look out for
- 7:25Speaker 5: everybody that don't go like no, it's never gonna be
- 7:29Speaker 5: like that, And they have to have the unfortunate ones
- 7:33Speaker 5: to make they think like they can help them to
- 7:35Speaker 5: be fortunate.
- 7:36Speaker 4: That's how politics work.
- 7:37Speaker 5: When everybody get fortunate for politics, I don't want to
- 7:39Speaker 5: hear from politician. I got my houseman, I'm my job,
- 7:42Speaker 5: my family. But when you don't have all of these things,
- 7:45Speaker 5: they comments fundamentally, I can give you all and then
- 7:50Speaker 5: through your fucking situation, you're listen. I used to listen. No,
- 7:54Speaker 5: I have no fucking interests, But when I was in
- 7:58Speaker 5: the situation like there other people and suffering ones, I
- 8:01Speaker 5: used to listen, and I used to believe that might
- 8:04Speaker 5: be there would be open I know, I can't see.
- 8:07Speaker 5: There won't be no upcoming from those people. Cardier jobs
- 8:10Speaker 5: is to make you feel like they will be hope.
- 8:13Speaker 5: But they're not green nor and that is for the openings.
- 8:16Speaker 5: When there is no openess, they have nobody to apply
- 8:20Speaker 5: and to treat and food. So they need poor people.
- 8:23Speaker 5: So they create them and they're motivated and cultivates them.
- 8:28Speaker 5: And then if you're not smart enough to know that
- 8:30Speaker 5: they are creating you to be like this, you would
- 8:34Speaker 5: be stuck.
- 8:35Speaker 4: One of the things you said is that you're from Jamaica.
- 8:38Speaker 6: You never left Jamaica, but my family is from a
- 8:41Speaker 6: generation was like, let's leave Jamaica and find success in America.
- 8:46Speaker 6: We find now that more artists, more people of argued
- 8:50Speaker 6: and even business men and women have achieved success that
- 8:54Speaker 6: staying here and try.
- 8:55Speaker 4: To uplift the island, develop the island more so.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Yeah, because back in the day there weren't so much
- 9:01Speaker 5: opportunity and Jamaica wasn't looking so developed. So most of
- 9:05Speaker 5: the people used to migrate, even the artists when they
- 9:08Speaker 5: got their first to eat songs, they migrate and go
- 9:11Speaker 5: live overseas.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Well. In the nineties, things started to change.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Jamaica started develop and tourism and most things start to
- 9:19Speaker 5: get better, and we got great visiting capacity and then
- 9:24Speaker 5: we have big concerts, festival, some fests and steam. We
- 9:28Speaker 5: used to have everything in the nineties. He used to
- 9:30Speaker 5: have some Splash and some Face, both of them plus sting.
- 9:34Speaker 5: He used to be in Kingstone, then it was in
- 9:36Speaker 5: manticob a few days after. They used to have Championing
- 9:39Speaker 5: Action fully loaded. He used to have so much concerts
- 9:42Speaker 5: and Jamaica was booming in the nineties. So that's when
- 9:45Speaker 5: I came up. So I never have no interest to leave.
- 9:47Speaker 5: And then I was rooted with the people and I
- 9:50Speaker 5: see it like abomination or sellout. If I should burst
- 9:55Speaker 5: in Jamaica and then go live overseas, I don't. I
- 9:57Speaker 5: don't like that idea. If there is a situation where
- 10:00Speaker 5: I have to do it, then it's different. But for
- 10:03Speaker 5: me to us like, okay, America looks looking better now
- 10:07Speaker 5: because I'm a superstar.
- 10:08Speaker 4: No, I can't do that.
- 10:09Speaker 5: And then the climate and the food and the culture
- 10:13Speaker 5: and the freedom in Jamaica, I don't know. No, I
- 10:17Speaker 5: don't want to grow nowhere. I like this little place.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Jamaica is a little paradise. I don't know if everybody
- 10:25Speaker 5: discovered that. For me, it seems like so when you're
- 10:28Speaker 5: making the music in the early nineties. We grew up
- 10:30Speaker 5: in the nineties.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Yeah, when you're making the music you're making, are you
- 10:32Speaker 6: making it authentically for the dance old cloud here or
- 10:36Speaker 6: are you getting pressure to say, you know what, I
- 10:38Speaker 6: need to make a hit that can cross over non
- 10:40Speaker 6: to nationally.
- 10:41Speaker 5: You're making When I was making music in the early nineties,
- 10:44Speaker 5: when I'm just coming, it was routed straight Jamaica and
- 10:47Speaker 5: talk and slam. You have no idea what's going on
- 10:49Speaker 5: overseas because when I was growing up and learning music,
- 10:53Speaker 5: there weren't no cable, there weren't no hinternet, and I
- 10:56Speaker 5: never used to travel as a boy, and none of
- 11:00Speaker 5: my family never used to travel, so I have no
- 11:02Speaker 5: idea what's going on overseas. I'm authentically rooted in Jamaican
- 11:06Speaker 5: culture and heritage, so everything I was saying was a
- 11:10Speaker 5: street for.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Me and Jamaica.
- 11:12Speaker 5: And I never know that the world was gonna get
- 11:14Speaker 5: aware of Man Candida, even though I was gonna purs overseas.
- 11:17Speaker 4: I was just trying to conquer Jamaica.
- 11:20Speaker 5: So when the music gets out in the world and
- 11:22Speaker 5: then fan base start to build, that's when I start
- 11:25Speaker 5: to cansder Way. You got to make the music global,
- 11:29Speaker 5: making things that relatable, and then know what I sing
- 11:33Speaker 5: about is people struggle, and it's not only Jamaican struggle.
- 11:37Speaker 5: People struggle all over banners and sufferer is not only
- 11:40Speaker 5: Jamaican people, So it's not only African people. So you
- 11:44Speaker 5: understand Indians, of the Chinese, of for white people, so
- 11:48Speaker 5: you know all types of people.
- 11:49Speaker 4: So might be black people so for more. But in
- 11:52Speaker 4: every nation there is some struggling people.
- 11:55Speaker 5: So I kept singing about, singing about the things that
- 12:00Speaker 5: people live and as for down't in the get up
- 12:03Speaker 5: where people fed up.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Look into my eyes, tell me what you see, can
- 12:07Speaker 4: feel my pain? And my your enemy.
- 12:09Speaker 5: You understands so these things global and I wasn't even
- 12:14Speaker 5: thinking that the struggle is global. But after when I
- 12:17Speaker 5: get aware that my fan base got big, I realized, Okay,
- 12:21Speaker 5: it's really it's life. There's more people homes with struggle.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Only death is rest in peace. There is no live
- 12:29Speaker 5: in peace. We live in struggle and ups and down
- 12:32Speaker 5: and trial and triumphs, and that's life. And if you
- 12:37Speaker 5: don't want to go to nothing, that's lie and die.
- 12:40Speaker 5: But if you want life where you've got to bear
- 12:42Speaker 5: of struggles. And me think that struggle is strength because
- 12:48Speaker 5: the dominance that I have is my struggle making.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I can do it. I will adore.
- 12:54Speaker 6: When I talk, it makes me think of this land.
- 12:57Speaker 6: I think it pay Fiasco said struggle on another sound
- 13:00Speaker 6: that God loves you.
- 13:00Speaker 4: You're gonna put this children to come to me. And
- 13:06Speaker 4: that's all God know.
- 13:07Speaker 5: When you're faithful, when yourself and you don't curse him
- 13:10Speaker 5: and it's still all your faith and you still keep
- 13:12Speaker 5: your mirror and you're still standing with all your convictions
- 13:16Speaker 5: despite what you're going through, you are who you are.
- 13:19Speaker 5: And that's a true jump a Gemmy's that's a gemmy
- 13:23Speaker 5: and that's me despite what I've been through. I'm gonna
- 13:26Speaker 5: be me and I tell it as it is, and
- 13:29Speaker 5: I have nothing else to say, only that you I
- 13:31Speaker 5: can't tell all raighth shut them out.
- 13:34Speaker 3: So coming up, you know, industry and getting into music,
- 13:38Speaker 3: who was your education as far as learning the business?
- 13:40Speaker 3: Because I feel like a lot of creatives America to
- 13:42Speaker 3: make whatever they're talented, but they don't understand the business.
- 13:45Speaker 4: And it's a music business. A lot of people get
- 13:47Speaker 4: taken advantage of, get robbed. They don't have them. Yeah,
- 13:50Speaker 4: so how did you learn a bit? What's what's?
- 13:52Speaker 5: Well, We've been a lot, you know. You know, you
- 13:54Speaker 5: have to pay to learn. Sometimes you have to get
- 13:57Speaker 5: burned to learn. So I got burned to learn. So
- 14:03Speaker 5: all of them stuff, We've been through, all of them.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Most of us have been through that, especially we from
- 14:07Speaker 5: the nineties because today, you know, we are more aware
- 14:10Speaker 5: because we have Internet and we have YouTube, and we
- 14:12Speaker 5: have Google and we google all these information. Back in
- 14:15Speaker 5: the days, we never have access to those, and people
- 14:18Speaker 5: never used to try to edify artists about the business part.
- 14:22Speaker 5: They grew me in to be a good artist, but
- 14:24Speaker 5: not to be the businessman behind the artists. So I
- 14:28Speaker 5: signed bad contract before I allowed some of a publishing
- 14:31Speaker 5: all those things. But when I was coming up, I
- 14:34Speaker 5: aware that all of that was going to happen. But
- 14:36Speaker 5: what I think, I thought that I just want to
- 14:41Speaker 5: boss despite what they though I take from me. After
- 14:45Speaker 5: I burst, they can take back me from the world.
- 14:49Speaker 5: So it's just like I'm gonna pay an extra or
- 14:52Speaker 5: extra fee, you know, So I pay like an extra
- 14:55Speaker 5: percentage to get my break.
- 14:57Speaker 4: But I wasn't worried about that because I I was gonna.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Make it and I was going to stay, so I
- 15:03Speaker 5: will recoup back all day took away from me one day.
- 15:07Speaker 4: So it was really a rocky role.
- 15:09Speaker 5: You understand, a lot of people mess up, never paid
- 15:12Speaker 5: them jue, they never paid what rightful in mind, and
- 15:17Speaker 5: I started to learn it. So it is when I
- 15:20Speaker 5: started to manage myself because when I just came out,
- 15:25Speaker 5: my first remanagement team was pectualled, and that's with specialists
- 15:33Speaker 5: Shaba Rankin, Atra Mad Kober, Richie Stevens. Yeah, that was
- 15:40Speaker 5: the same management team that I went under, and I
- 15:44Speaker 5: wasn't getting the attention that I felt I should get.
- 15:47Speaker 5: And then the contract, as I said, was twisted. It
- 15:50Speaker 5: had record in publishing management. Everything tied up in one
- 15:53Speaker 5: contract like a Bible contract was stick like this.
- 15:57Speaker 4: You understand, they don't do that. You guys gonna read it.
- 16:00Speaker 4: And then it gaven a.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Both attorney in it, so that was a big breach,
- 16:05Speaker 5: you understand. And then no, I never had an independent lawyer.
- 16:09Speaker 5: That sent me to the company's lawyer, so that was
- 16:13Speaker 5: their lawyer, not my lawyer, so he was on their payer.
- 16:17Speaker 5: And all of that was forbidding that was prohibited, so
- 16:21Speaker 5: at that of the contract easily, so I left the company.
- 16:26Speaker 5: So that was nineteen ninety nineteen ninety three to nineteen
- 16:30Speaker 5: ninety four ninety five, and then from nineteen ninety five.
- 16:34Speaker 4: I hadn't had official management. It it was just me
- 16:41Speaker 4: doing my thing. And then I had this woman named
- 16:43Speaker 4: Louise Fraser Bennett.
- 16:45Speaker 5: She she passed away mayor of Soul Rest in Peace,
- 16:49Speaker 5: lovely lady who helped me and she was the one
- 16:51Speaker 5: who really first started teaching me about the business, Louise
- 16:54Speaker 5: Phraser Bennett. So it was me independently managing myself and
- 17:00Speaker 5: people working for me has managed men, people more experienced
- 17:03Speaker 5: than I never had a manager, so I was always
- 17:08Speaker 5: getting a little information about the business because I was
- 17:11Speaker 5: taking care of my business.
- 17:12Speaker 4: And then I started to bring up Scare.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Them through nineteen ninety five ninety six, Scare Them who
- 17:19Speaker 5: came on the scene also, so I had to start
- 17:22Speaker 5: to look out for their career and my career. So
- 17:24Speaker 5: it forced me to start taking up managerial process. So
- 17:30Speaker 5: that's how I started to learn more about the business
- 17:32Speaker 5: because I started to have careers in my hand with
- 17:35Speaker 5: doing myself. And then Sharon Burke, Me and Sharon Burke
- 17:42Speaker 5: Lincoln now nineteen ninety eight and then it was me,
- 17:46Speaker 5: Sharon Burke and Louise Farming a little management team independently.
- 17:52Speaker 5: People think that louis what my manager. People think that
- 17:54Speaker 5: Sharon what my manager. But they weren't really paid manager.
- 17:58Speaker 5: They were acting as manager. But it's not like I
- 18:02Speaker 5: was paying them as a manager. I was signed a
- 18:04Speaker 5: contract as a manager. But we are close friends, we
- 18:07Speaker 5: are like family, so they are a part of my team.
- 18:10Speaker 5: So they play these roles, you understands. So it was
- 18:14Speaker 5: nothing officially, but it was what's happening. They were playing
- 18:16Speaker 5: the management role because I never had an official manager.
- 18:20Speaker 5: And that was from nineteen ninety five until like two
- 18:25Speaker 5: those and the sixteen it's like four years ago. Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 5: I officially apply a manager. Now that's all just come thanky.
- 18:37Speaker 5: He is from Spectamed too. He was my first road
- 18:40Speaker 5: manager when I went to Spectam nineteen ninety three, so
- 18:44Speaker 5: he's very experienced. And then he knows me when I
- 18:47Speaker 5: was a young star. He was the one who first
- 18:50Speaker 5: started grooming the first time I went on a plane.
- 18:52Speaker 5: He was the first one who signed up my farm
- 18:54Speaker 5: and said, well, this is first crass.
- 18:58Speaker 4: It's like a mentor. He understands.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Despite me and the company for a lot back then,
- 19:04Speaker 5: we still did have good relationships. We're still friends because
- 19:06Speaker 5: me especially still friends. Me and May was still friends
- 19:10Speaker 5: because it wasn't no animosities. Was just a case where
- 19:13Speaker 5: this wasn't right and this wasn't done properly. So you
- 19:16Speaker 5: know what, I'm going to book it. And then I
- 19:19Speaker 5: was kind of overshadowed by Shower Patra cool bro We
- 19:24Speaker 5: to seeing all these people that beg international success at
- 19:28Speaker 5: the time, and I was on the merge.
- 19:31Speaker 4: But I wasn't on the level as them. So you know,
- 19:34Speaker 4: I'm like, look a fishing water or something. Yeah, So
- 19:38Speaker 4: I wasn't getting that full attention.
- 19:40Speaker 5: And I was on the verge to merge, so I
- 19:43Speaker 5: needed that attention now to make my fucking mark.
- 19:48Speaker 4: You understand that there wasn't seeing the wave coming.
- 19:50Speaker 5: So it's when I leave nineteen ninety four, ninety five,
- 19:53Speaker 5: ninety six, and I put out my Experience album. When
- 19:57Speaker 5: I went to New York, Johnny One, Me and Johnny
- 20:00Speaker 5: one the apartment. So it was me and Johnny Wander
- 20:03Speaker 5: and Louise Fraser, Bennett and Sharon Burke, all of us
- 20:06Speaker 5: together about money.
- 20:08Speaker 4: G T.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Johnny One that became the head of it because he
- 20:12Speaker 5: was more experiencing and distribution, and he got me asked
- 20:16Speaker 5: a labor deal with TVT Records, and between tv T
- 20:21Speaker 5: and TVT that's little John No that songs they had
- 20:24Speaker 5: nothing John label.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a label came. Yeah. Yeah, it was
- 20:32Speaker 4: on tv T. Yeah, tv T toombs. Yeah, that big label.
- 20:37Speaker 6: That's not because you're saying ninety five and I keep
- 20:39Speaker 6: hearing ninety five and I'm feeling like, right after ninety
- 20:42Speaker 6: five is when you're out of here.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Yeah, they emerged. Yeah, that's when we emerged. Came We're
- 20:47Speaker 4: hearing you in New York radio.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Yeah, that's when I get the reburse nineteen ninety five,
- 20:51Speaker 5: ninety six right in there. And one of the other
- 20:54Speaker 5: things is that Silllar phone sound excuse Boss Maziella La
- 20:59Speaker 5: phone that was a buzz in.
- 21:01Speaker 4: New York and shook one part to remix y. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 4: Bobby Bobby them started playing that at ninety seven. Babbie Trends, bab.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Bobby, Bobbie Condors, Ready Alert and David Levy, those people,
- 21:19Speaker 5: Gill Bailey, all of those people, the early people, rock
- 21:24Speaker 5: j Roy all of those people, dub Master, all those
- 21:26Speaker 5: people was pumping the Bounty Killer. That was the evolution
- 21:31Speaker 5: and king of the song now came in the mix Lockdown, Brooklyn,
- 21:36Speaker 5: every Son System dead when they turned on the bound
- 21:40Speaker 5: to Killer and then Johnny Wander up Foojis and then
- 21:45Speaker 5: Bobbie Kander remixed the suicide and.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Murder with Jarrold the Damager. Maybe he is in the
- 21:54Speaker 4: house Summer three see as much right there.
- 22:01Speaker 5: So right there was the evolution of Bounty Killer in
- 22:04Speaker 5: New York. When I come with that Fujie ship and
- 22:06Speaker 5: that suicide murder and then nineteen ninety eight, no, when
- 22:10Speaker 5: I get that fucking mob deep ship, it's over.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Then his own ship war zone, it becoming.
- 22:19Speaker 6: So that that relationship mob deep leads to the other
- 22:23Speaker 6: relationships because like, you're one of the first guys to
- 22:25Speaker 6: really cross over with hip hop artists.
- 22:28Speaker 5: That because I was watching super Cat, I was watching
- 22:32Speaker 5: Chaperons and Kiras One, and I like, who will merge
- 22:35Speaker 5: after culture? And I was saying, Yeah, this is exactly
- 22:38Speaker 5: what I want to do. And then we say shining
- 22:40Speaker 5: and we say heavy d. Let's say, y'all exactly that
- 22:44Speaker 5: I want to do. And then when I woke up
- 22:46Speaker 5: with Johnny Wonder, no, he was a hip hop ahead
- 22:48Speaker 5: from Brooklyn, and then he's telling me about discournym Harry
- 22:52Speaker 5: Neil them. I never even know about the Fuji's. It
- 22:56Speaker 5: was Johnny Wonder. We know about learning and because she
- 22:59Speaker 5: was in the movie, so we know about this nice
- 23:01Speaker 5: vocal and everything.
- 23:02Speaker 4: So it was Johnny One.
- 23:03Speaker 5: They're telling me about that if we get around a
- 23:05Speaker 5: hook because we know the park work wasn't so popular,
- 23:10Speaker 5: so we wanted songs.
- 23:11Speaker 4: With hook or a rapper to do that American ship
- 23:16Speaker 4: and then we do the yard. Yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 5: So they said we're going to check Larry and we
- 23:21Speaker 5: went over there and then that's when I met White
- 23:23Speaker 5: Cliff and then he was more excited now because he
- 23:26Speaker 5: was in the reggae ship than Larry He said, what
- 23:30Speaker 5: about we're all going to be on the track because
- 23:33Speaker 5: it was really a Larryl trap we went to do,
- 23:35Speaker 5: and White Cliff instances, No, it's going to be a
- 23:37Speaker 5: foogie Bounty killer track.
- 23:40Speaker 4: That's all. We end up with the Old Tree, Foogies
- 23:42Speaker 4: and a sound because nobody never got that.
- 23:44Speaker 5: That's the only song featured the Old Fee There's nobody
- 23:50Speaker 5: got a feature from Fogies with the old group.
- 23:53Speaker 4: If about the history, this is the height of that.
- 23:55Speaker 5: It's the only feature the Foogies does that, the whole
- 23:59Speaker 5: tree at the miss it.
- 24:01Speaker 4: I was blessed and I never went for that. I
- 24:04Speaker 4: could not pay for that. We never paid for that.
- 24:07Speaker 4: The label came afore that.
- 24:08Speaker 5: It was nineteen ninety six and when they just tracked
- 24:11Speaker 5: this course the biggest group in the world.
- 24:17Speaker 4: So it was just the love and the old passion
- 24:20Speaker 4: there for dancer.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Why I got that tracking them because I couldn't play
- 24:24Speaker 5: it there. They was on top of the world. When
- 24:27Speaker 5: you go there and say they do collaboration, they could
- 24:30Speaker 5: have run me out of the place where they said, oh, shit.
- 24:32Speaker 5: If you listen to Injel White him said he was
- 24:37Speaker 5: so fucking inelection. That's why he sung that fucking wicked hook.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Everybody go harder on the track. If you listen to
- 24:45Speaker 5: the track, it's one of the hardiest featured they ever
- 24:48Speaker 5: did it, and it came naturally. Everybody was, yes, they
- 24:52Speaker 5: know this was gonna make a mark in the culture.
- 24:55Speaker 5: That's why I end up with a mom and the
- 24:57Speaker 5: well they all appear.
- 24:59Speaker 4: In the video to top it off, Just top it off.
- 25:04Speaker 4: That's about the culture. That's not how there.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Let me ask you this about the culture, Like Jamaican's
- 25:10Speaker 3: influence has been transported all over the world.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Like I used to live in Hawaii and it was crazy.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I would see they were listening to Bob Marley and
- 25:18Speaker 3: Ziggy mally white people with dreadlocks and rastafaras like I'm like,
- 25:23Speaker 3: and of course in New York and Canada and Europe.
- 25:26Speaker 3: But how do you feel about that, because a lot
- 25:29Speaker 3: of people have said that the same thing with hip
- 25:32Speaker 3: hop culture. The culture has been exported, but the people
- 25:35Speaker 3: that started the culture hasn't really capitalized on it.
- 25:37Speaker 5: They haven't really really being wrong people to be influenced
- 25:42Speaker 5: by the culture.
- 25:43Speaker 4: That's all fun.
- 25:44Speaker 5: You are the one who put your culture to the world,
- 25:46Speaker 5: and then then people like it. They're gonna call them
- 25:48Speaker 5: culture fulature. Are you gonna say they don't give you
- 25:51Speaker 5: no respect? That's not their problem. You are the one
- 25:54Speaker 5: to make them know that you are the curatio mhm.
- 25:57Speaker 4: When when when things screen.
- 25:59Speaker 5: Them put in the world. I want to find the inventor.
- 26:02Speaker 5: The inventor is supposed to pattern is things and put
- 26:04Speaker 5: it out in the world.
- 26:05Speaker 4: You understand. I like good things, and I saw good things.
- 26:08Speaker 4: I supposed to find out to create it.
- 26:11Speaker 5: No, I'm finding out though you enjoy its problem.
- 26:15Speaker 4: You understand.
- 26:16Speaker 5: So as you say, they are the one who's supposed
- 26:18Speaker 5: to claim their culture and let it know that this
- 26:21Speaker 5: is our culture. But you're not supposed to have any
- 26:23Speaker 5: problem with people loving the culture. And if the culture
- 26:26Speaker 5: is attractive, people will love it and they should love it.
- 26:30Speaker 5: And when people love their culture, it makes me feel
- 26:32Speaker 5: that they're loving me. I don't know about nobody else,
- 26:35Speaker 5: but I see people love in Jamaican culture. I feel
- 26:38Speaker 5: like they're loving a part of me. So it makes
- 26:41Speaker 5: me feel acceptable and feel loved.
- 26:44Speaker 4: So I love it. I have no problem with it.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I want the culture to be so all over the world.
- 26:49Speaker 6: So go back to the music for a sec because
- 26:51Speaker 6: we're talking about culture and crossing cultures. Two til you
- 26:54Speaker 6: do the song with No Doubt. Yeah, hey day, that's
- 26:57Speaker 6: my biggest, biggest record is the career?
- 27:00Speaker 4: A Grammy award? Yeah? What was that moment? Like going
- 27:03Speaker 4: from the young man who was singing about born as
- 27:06Speaker 4: a sophomore? Yeah, the super Bowl? Yo, No, that was electrified.
- 27:12Speaker 4: You know, let's let's talk about it. What was that?
- 27:15Speaker 5: That was the moment that I know that, Yeah, I'm
- 27:17Speaker 5: a superstar now, you know, at the moment I know
- 27:20Speaker 5: I'm really superstar.
- 27:21Speaker 4: I know I was a star, but I became a
- 27:23Speaker 4: superstar right there.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Two moon Man, MTV Award, Grammy Award, Top of the
- 27:30Speaker 5: Pops in London, super Bowl, Yeah, you're right, that's that's
- 27:35Speaker 5: the big league right up there.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Yeah. So that was really the epitome of my career
- 27:41Speaker 4: in my head so far.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Yeah, and I hope to do more and better, but
- 27:47Speaker 5: that was the best moment being on the super Bowl
- 27:51Speaker 5: or rocking it.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the nicest station right now. So how was that?
- 27:57Speaker 3: I mean, we never interviewed by this performance superb How
- 28:00Speaker 3: what's the feeling like that's the biggest stage in the world,
- 28:03Speaker 3: one hundred million people watching, sixty thousand people know I'm.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Telling what was not. I never know what the fuck
- 28:08Speaker 4: it were. Didn't even know what it was. You know
- 28:10Speaker 4: what it was.
- 28:10Speaker 5: I know it was super but you oh big that
- 28:13Speaker 5: ship work. I never read that, assess it and process
- 28:17Speaker 5: it because stead it was.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I wasn't gonna go. How do they get you back?
- 28:24Speaker 7: What do they say? It's like, look, this is this moment.
- 28:26Speaker 7: You need to be a part of. This is the
- 28:27Speaker 7: biggest song in the world. It was doing the American
- 28:30Speaker 7: Music Award. I declined, They was doing some other shows.
- 28:38Speaker 7: I declined, everything may decline upset my mond. Then I
- 28:45Speaker 7: have this friend named Julie.
- 28:46Speaker 4: I know it works. You know.
- 28:50Speaker 5: He was doing on convincing that Yo, there was once
- 28:57Speaker 5: how opportunity to like this cause one some part of
- 29:00Speaker 5: time in Dan s Yeah. He when that song was
- 29:08Speaker 5: at with Terror Fabulous and Nadine Saalan. Terror Fabulous was
- 29:13Speaker 5: on Delicious Viny label that was in the nineties, like
- 29:17Speaker 5: about ninety four ninety five, and they wanted Terror Fabulous
- 29:21Speaker 5: from the super Bowl with Nadine to come sing that
- 29:22Speaker 5: song and Terror follows.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Declined and they know because Terror fabulous carrier kind of fall.
- 29:29Speaker 5: From grace my friend and saying, hey, dog mind bad
- 29:32Speaker 5: looking on the last man forget that.
- 29:35Speaker 4: I'm gonna do it when they know, blah blah.
- 29:42Speaker 5: The next time, Yo, godham turn me a cable super Bowl.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Me thinks our football match match movie blood clock. We
- 29:50Speaker 5: came on a match rad even had the match of
- 29:52Speaker 5: the world listeno and the man convinced me and turning one.
- 29:56Speaker 5: But I said, you know, I'm bad, and I said yo,
- 30:00Speaker 5: And then this would have the middle super I gave
- 30:06Speaker 5: joy and bring up them something in my head. I
- 30:10Speaker 5: would say, all right, yo, we have.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Got to do it.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Jolie and band visits do it. Man, I said, all right,
- 30:16Speaker 5: we have got to do it, and may go do
- 30:18Speaker 5: it and go to the store with them. And then
- 30:22Speaker 5: when May I started then didn't missign one piece of something.
- 30:28Speaker 5: When men look it turned two page, like you know
- 30:31Speaker 5: when I released Farm. He turned through page and it
- 30:35Speaker 5: was a one page massigned. And on the next part,
- 30:37Speaker 5: I'm publishing on that but.
- 30:39Speaker 4: On head publishing take a publishing, yo.
- 30:41Speaker 5: The man turning something body Steve way more name did
- 30:45Speaker 5: boy on it not two pages when in Go for
- 30:48Speaker 5: Season and publishing the night, so it become a rif
- 30:52Speaker 5: big wire getting a publishing saying California at the twenty
- 30:58Speaker 5: five toes, I know and and I said no, I'm
- 31:02Speaker 5: go to court and all these things and I got
- 31:05Speaker 5: my facial But it was one big something from the
- 31:10Speaker 5: video to the publishing struggle. But we all would now.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Everybody to get the right after the super Bowl, Like
- 31:21Speaker 3: was it just crazy like the show, every your prices
- 31:23Speaker 3: increased everybody, Yeah, yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 5: You know, attentions and yeah everything you mentioned everything after
- 31:30Speaker 5: the super Bowl and getting the Grammy and that year
- 31:33Speaker 5: I nominated twice because I had my album released the
- 31:37Speaker 5: year also Get a Dictionary, that's my last recording album,
- 31:41Speaker 5: so it nominated in the reggae category to Get to
- 31:45Speaker 5: a Dictionary, and then I was in the pop category
- 31:47Speaker 5: with you know though, so it goes two category. I
- 31:50Speaker 5: was nominated at once and I'm the only journaic and
- 31:54Speaker 5: artist to ever nominated in two category on the same show.
- 32:00Speaker 5: So I won with no note in the pop category
- 32:03Speaker 5: and I lost the Lee Scratch Perry in the reggae
- 32:06Speaker 5: and if I did one too Grammy one no that
- 32:10Speaker 5: would be too much.
- 32:11Speaker 4: We can't manage to Grammy from one Grammy Shure knows
- 32:15Speaker 4: and they're like s but we go.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Back to back one gross nos do that too much, boy,
- 32:23Speaker 5: So I just want wind want to know. And then
- 32:26Speaker 5: Lease gotch very into the Grammy for the reggae. Who
- 32:28Speaker 5: is fearing one for one either way? Yeah, well that
- 32:32Speaker 5: was a great moment in my carrier. Still despite all
- 32:35Speaker 5: the indifferences that they had, and from the beginning of
- 32:40Speaker 5: making the song, it was a struggle Stille because when
- 32:42Speaker 5: they came the producers, it was like Rob, you called
- 32:46Speaker 5: me and said, Yo, no doubt is in the country
- 32:49Speaker 5: that they want to do a collaboration.
- 32:52Speaker 4: No DoD own him because then I don't know about
- 32:57Speaker 4: no note like that. I might air their name, but
- 33:02Speaker 4: I never know the music, guys. I'm not too interrupt.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Music like now. I listen it, but is not my
- 33:08Speaker 4: type of music like fantasy.
- 33:10Speaker 5: If they knowing the special artists in the Bi Papa
- 33:13Speaker 5: rock song, I will know it, but I won't go
- 33:15Speaker 5: search them. If them burst Big International and them come across,
- 33:20Speaker 5: we know them over here.
- 33:21Speaker 4: So I we heard the name.

- 37:02Speaker 5: you're right.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Still in the boat. I saw it going Institute of Music.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Don't have that exposure and these opportunities they've been really
- 37:13Speaker 5: good then, because back in the days when we are
- 37:16Speaker 5: come whim, I come. I never met music with some
- 37:19Speaker 5: Steve we Wander and some some some some great Jones
- 37:22Speaker 5: and some rare if some big label them never really
- 37:25Speaker 5: get and I paid the profile. But you get your rights,
- 37:30Speaker 5: wish lead up to your pension today and then you
- 37:33Speaker 5: get your recognition. Your name was mentioned, so really a
- 37:36Speaker 5: track record. That's why they could come back for Slyer
- 37:39Speaker 5: and Rabbit today because of the type of music that
- 37:41Speaker 5: they made back then. So he's saying we never get
- 37:44Speaker 5: that front, pay up front advanced, don't see what it
- 37:49Speaker 5: does for us. He set the track record for me.
- 37:53Speaker 5: So sometimes you have to just shut your eye and
- 37:56Speaker 5: go for the pie and then know am I mentor
- 38:01Speaker 5: am I part of them? And look at pioneers that
- 38:04Speaker 5: we grew our own and we.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Look up to them.
- 38:07Speaker 5: Anything, then tell it's gold. Then some me make sure
- 38:11Speaker 5: let's put my own vibes outside as alad do it
- 38:15Speaker 5: to ask. I mean about I want the two thousands.
- 38:16Speaker 5: I keep the two thousands free. I would just got
- 38:19Speaker 5: recorded for nothing. Yeah, that's why I got met that
- 38:23Speaker 5: song someone's success because I never even better take you
- 38:26Speaker 5: two thousands, because we deliverately come in us run them
- 38:28Speaker 5: over the two thousands give you no.
- 38:30Speaker 4: You look like your mop that man. Do this song? Man?
- 38:36Speaker 5: Yeah, we do the song for free instead, because they
- 38:38Speaker 5: don't want to pay ten and I don't want to
- 38:40Speaker 5: take two, so the money shit, it slides. Let's do
- 38:43Speaker 5: music because music paying the foods and he's eating pay
- 38:46Speaker 5: in the future.
- 38:47Speaker 4: So they did that all for free.
- 38:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I never better take the two thousand because disrespect. Disrespect,
- 38:52Speaker 5: And then sly say, you know why, It's not about
- 38:54Speaker 5: the money. It's about just making the music because it lasts,
- 38:58Speaker 5: your kids, come grow and live out in the future.
- 39:02Speaker 4: And that's exactly what happened. To know, it's a fucking
- 39:04Speaker 4: legendary classic. You stood on that. I'm not taking the
- 39:07Speaker 4: two and look at it because once you take the two,
- 39:09Speaker 4: now that's such your price.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Yeah, they're not a two guy, No, not too. Music
- 39:15Speaker 5: is bigger than the money. So you know what, Let's
- 39:17Speaker 5: do this ship for the vibe. That's why I came up,
- 39:20Speaker 5: because he's liver for the money. It was far the
- 39:23Speaker 5: fucking opportunity. So I said, this is an opportunity, don't
- 39:27Speaker 5: make it pass and picture in that pass right.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Let me ask you this because Jamaica has an interest
- 39:34Speaker 3: in history with music and politics, even going back to
- 39:37Speaker 3: I believe he got he was shot over politics? Why
- 39:42Speaker 3: is it so intertwined and why is it so much
- 39:45Speaker 3: friction when it comes to the music politics, Politicians using musicians,
- 39:50Speaker 3: politicians banning certain music because.
- 39:52Speaker 4: They wanted to get to the people.
- 39:53Speaker 5: And then they're on certain music insight the reality of
- 39:58Speaker 5: life and certain things and the they don't want the
- 40:00Speaker 5: people to be aware, so they like to bad music.
- 40:03Speaker 5: And then they like to use artists to influence the people,
- 40:07Speaker 5: so they use them as advantage and disadvantage.
- 40:11Speaker 4: So that's how it goes. He is the power of
- 40:14Speaker 4: the music, get to the people quick.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Then politician go on the radio, TV talk nobody listening
- 40:20Speaker 5: to minim the phone. You understand if kill the pale.
- 40:25Speaker 5: They love the interact music and politics, especially Jamaican politician.
- 40:30Speaker 5: You know overseas they don't do for the music and politics.
- 40:34Speaker 5: Jamaican love use the music and the politics. That's why
- 40:38Speaker 5: they try to hurt bad Malory. Maley was trying to
- 40:42Speaker 5: unify the people and they don't want that because some
- 40:46Speaker 5: people might think that bab Malory was on a specific side.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Are trying to divide.
- 40:51Speaker 5: They never know that badman was trying to unite p
- 40:54Speaker 5: MP and JLP and that's why he got shot. It's
- 40:57Speaker 5: not because he was like taking side with any body.
- 41:00Speaker 5: It is because he was saying, unify everybody. And they
- 41:04Speaker 5: did not want that because they were the CIA and
- 41:08Speaker 5: they were what them name the communists, Communist country.
- 41:19Speaker 4: That's what killing. Yes, So that's what they wanted.
- 41:24Speaker 5: They want the friction because they know that Bob Marley
- 41:27Speaker 5: is trying to unify the people and they don't want that.
- 41:29Speaker 5: They want to get reader the communists. And then to
- 41:35Speaker 5: Bab Marley singing about the c i A and exposing
- 41:38Speaker 5: them dress they don't like, but they take up our
- 41:42Speaker 5: tech side with the communist catch my singing ainst c
- 41:45Speaker 5: i A and then that's the communist.
- 41:47Speaker 4: But it was coming on to their more said.
- 41:49Speaker 5: Everything where it was really the CIA was really bringing
- 41:53Speaker 5: in the guns and the communists both side. There was
- 41:57Speaker 5: battling for Jamaica. That's all the fight and the violence
- 42:00Speaker 5: become its.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Communists for the c i A.
- 42:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a political thing, that's that's that's what lead
- 42:09Speaker 5: up the gangs in Jamaica. Today, only two gangs start
- 42:12Speaker 5: to do it from their whole. No, they're not doing
- 42:14Speaker 5: for c I A, are for communities or for pimp.
- 42:17Speaker 5: GP's not going one intention and like gall them this
- 42:21Speaker 5: because we have gone so we start using our own purpose.
- 42:24Speaker 5: But first it came in as that purpose c I
- 42:28Speaker 5: A and communists fighting GLP and very very very MPMP
- 42:33Speaker 5: fighting each other.
- 42:34Speaker 6: That's that's that's very similar because remember the two pac
- 42:37Speaker 6: was saying that give them guns, step back and kill
- 42:39Speaker 6: each other.
- 42:39Speaker 4: M hm, that's what they did. Yeah, and then they're
- 42:41Speaker 4: gonna go in a contry and cinema what you killer
- 42:43Speaker 4: for each other?
- 42:44Speaker 5: No, and then can't start the violence because they are
- 42:47Speaker 5: not helping the people to understand life and the value
- 42:51Speaker 5: of it. But when people in literate and people now
- 42:54Speaker 5: have the understanding and people aren't symbolize them. Now clime
- 42:59Speaker 5: me and you and then make everybody come up properly
- 43:02Speaker 5: and sure everybody how good of bringing so you can't
- 43:06Speaker 5: e speak everybody to according people have to go to
- 43:10Speaker 5: school and learn the goal and rule to act like
- 43:12Speaker 5: a fool, and it's not everybody get the opportunity to
- 43:14Speaker 5: go to school to learn the goal and and no
- 43:16Speaker 5: not to ack a fool. And then you want everybody
- 43:19Speaker 5: to come at a cacardian like other people who go
- 43:21Speaker 5: to school. Now, the ones who don't go not gonna
- 43:24Speaker 5: acc accardian. How you leave them at the wayside. That's
- 43:28Speaker 5: how the government works. And they're not doing nothing to
- 43:30Speaker 5: help you. There's not you programs here you understand, disconnecting you.
- 43:36Speaker 5: There's nothing for them. You have state of emergency, and
- 43:41Speaker 5: so he all these things where you have no state
- 43:43Speaker 5: of urgency, trying to help the younger ones who are
- 43:46Speaker 5: not into violence are closed to be influenced on the
- 43:51Speaker 5: wayside and try to catch them before, but as soon
- 43:54Speaker 5: as they become wanted man they start to look for them.
- 43:56Speaker 4: They're famous, not police. I look for them.
- 43:58Speaker 5: But when they're don't, they're trying to make it that
- 44:00Speaker 5: he's a god who trying to sell nobody don't be
- 44:03Speaker 5: in anything.
- 44:03Speaker 6: So he said that people don't have the opportunity, like
- 44:05Speaker 6: children specifically don't have the opportunity. Is that not enough
- 44:08Speaker 6: a structural there's not enough facilities to hold it, or
- 44:12Speaker 6: because I mean having to make a pair of schools.
- 44:14Speaker 5: There is facilities to hold them, but they are not
- 44:17Speaker 5: enough people reaching over to them, and they're not doing
- 44:21Speaker 5: programs to help the unfortunate and the less fortunate, and
- 44:26Speaker 5: the ones who are falling out, the spirits, and all
- 44:29Speaker 5: the things that we used to have a program like
- 44:31Speaker 5: our program something in German class like people who followed
- 44:35Speaker 5: the school full time would go, I can get.
- 44:38Speaker 4: You up and all these things. We don't have most
- 44:40Speaker 4: of them.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Program.
- 44:41Speaker 4: We're not being a sports program.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Most community don't even have a community send them for
- 44:46Speaker 5: us to go and recreate and have a little fun.
- 44:49Speaker 5: They don't even have a up park vocational school vibes,
- 44:54Speaker 5: so he is too much disconnected. People in the country
- 44:58Speaker 5: Mans get everybody left from them home, so they are
- 45:02Speaker 5: selfish and savagery. The love is weak in Jamaica right now. Yeah,
- 45:09Speaker 5: loving each other, looking on for each other. It's disconnected,
- 45:14Speaker 5: especially with COVID No. It's like yo, you feel like
- 45:17Speaker 5: you're on your own.
- 45:19Speaker 3: We hear a lot about Chinese influence in Africa and
- 45:23Speaker 3: now Chinese influence in Jamaica.
- 45:25Speaker 4: I think they just brought the airport.
- 45:28Speaker 5: Uh well, China influences all over the worlds. They're powerful, little,
- 45:33Speaker 5: they're ambitious. I can't even do nothing the Chinese. I
- 45:36Speaker 5: might don't like the idea of them owning all these things.
- 45:39Speaker 5: But telling what, wh who wouldn't want to own if
- 45:41Speaker 5: they can own all these things, you understand, And it's
- 45:45Speaker 5: not their fault if they own whatever, because his people
- 45:47Speaker 5: gave them the opportunity.
- 45:49Speaker 4: If they saw the opportunity, who is not going to
- 45:51Speaker 4: execute it? You understand?
- 45:53Speaker 5: So who does to China? You understand that they're checking
- 45:58Speaker 5: over the world. Okay, in then that's why you see
- 46:02Speaker 5: rushed the man at least come out because he's yeah,
- 46:07Speaker 5: it's done. So somebody I have to take a stance.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Yeah, well, what are you thought on the political climate
- 46:12Speaker 4: of that?
- 46:13Speaker 6: Right, they could have been I'm sure a celebrity or
- 46:16Speaker 6: businessmen and women here in Jamaica that perhaps had been
- 46:19Speaker 6: given an opportunity to buy the airport may have done it.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Yeah, but they don't want to.
- 46:23Speaker 5: That's where Jamaicans stay, right, I'm telling you what, No Jamaicans,
- 46:28Speaker 5: A few of US invest in Jamaica because all of
- 46:31Speaker 5: these things Jamaican they could have bid them, right, they
- 46:35Speaker 5: could just like boots you they take over here Jamaica
- 46:38Speaker 5: in the early nineties, that's when here Jamaica was booming,
- 46:43Speaker 5: not Caribbean here line, I wait, my name, no no here,
- 46:47Speaker 5: jump me a car. It was bootst air line. Even
- 46:53Speaker 5: when the dollars took up one night time, it was
- 46:56Speaker 5: saying Bootstewart the dollar again and not a bail and
- 47:00Speaker 5: here Jamaica. I have hundreds that thou was not them
- 47:03Speaker 5: in the country right, But they don't make those things.
- 47:05Speaker 4: We don't issue for them.
- 47:07Speaker 5: It's just like Michael leechin, I'm boots Trout and couple
- 47:11Speaker 5: are the business men will take up this challenge for
- 47:14Speaker 5: the country.
- 47:15Speaker 4: But if all the rich billionaire a millionaire who is
- 47:18Speaker 4: here did.
- 47:19Speaker 5: Win anything, like the country is our business too, and
- 47:22Speaker 5: try to help run the country because they know the
- 47:25Speaker 5: politicians are doing themselves a favor by getting them. Can't
- 47:30Speaker 5: get antap them, can't take so then they're really can't
- 47:32Speaker 5: up with no country, So we can't we find a politician,
- 47:37Speaker 5: not now change it's been over nailing. How much cheers
- 47:41Speaker 5: since you're look aboy part the idear men seen a
- 47:46Speaker 5: politician then and not in the change. It's the same approach.
- 47:52Speaker 5: They are not for the people.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Let me ask you this.
- 47:56Speaker 3: As far as the music, a lot of people that's
- 47:58Speaker 3: not familiar with the culture, they think all Jamaican music
- 48:01Speaker 3: is reggae, but obviously it's reggae and dance whole and
- 48:04Speaker 3: I feel like reggae now not a lot of reggae
- 48:07Speaker 3: music is coming out.
- 48:08Speaker 4: It's more dance hall. Where before like when that was.
- 48:10Speaker 5: More yeah no, but then time there were no dancer
- 48:13Speaker 5: that was the music that was like all right, the
- 48:15Speaker 5: music came from Skia rock steady. It changes mood and temper,
- 48:23Speaker 5: so the tempo in the mood that's changed.
- 48:25Speaker 4: It was.
- 48:28Speaker 5: Something more feel like rock and roll, and then they
- 48:34Speaker 5: change it to rock steady, reggae vibes, and then they
- 48:40Speaker 5: come to reggae, bling bling vibes, you understand.
- 48:45Speaker 4: So it's just the era. All of it is reggae music.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Jamaican music is reggae music, but different era off the music.
- 48:55Speaker 5: He's just like rap and you understand because rock because
- 49:00Speaker 5: the same thing is a certain era described as the
- 49:03Speaker 5: rap era. So it comes to Robot dob. It was
- 49:09Speaker 5: first robot dove before it come to dancers robbing. The eighties, Yeah,
- 49:13Speaker 5: late seventies and early eighties when King Jammies and John
- 49:18Speaker 5: Joelars Volcanos on King Jammies on Sugar Minup with You Man,
- 49:23Speaker 5: promotion and steal and Cleavey with Silver Arc and Robbie
- 49:27Speaker 5: Digital with heat Wave, all of those great producers and
- 49:30Speaker 5: King Tobby's.
- 49:31Speaker 4: It was really King.
- 49:32Speaker 5: Tobby's who bringing the robot Dob, Skyle Slier, Robbiem bringing
- 49:37Speaker 5: the uptemp for reggae. No at that extrame sports with
- 49:41Speaker 5: boom boo boo doo boom boo boom boo boo boo
- 49:44Speaker 5: boo boo. He's still reggae. He can hear that baseline
- 49:47Speaker 5: and jump ship, but it a little fasten. He put
- 49:50Speaker 5: the dance into it. No you can't, girl and bubble,
- 49:52Speaker 5: you understand. So it's robot Dob and then we come
- 49:56Speaker 5: in in the nineties and tweak it and call it dance.
- 50:00Speaker 4: Salo and them coming and put out boom boom boom.
- 50:05Speaker 5: Put is just a temple step up liquor bit. But
- 50:07Speaker 5: if you check it, it's the same thing. It's just
- 50:11Speaker 5: the mood swing. So you just say, like, this is
- 50:14Speaker 5: the nineties reggae, and this is the two throws of reggae.
- 50:17Speaker 5: Just like I said, all these trap shit fucking out, that's.
- 50:22Speaker 4: Not Jamaica music, you understand. So it's just the era.
- 50:28Speaker 4: So that's a two.
- 50:28Speaker 5: I was in the part of the reggae and this
- 50:30Speaker 5: is the nineties part, and this is the eighties and
- 50:32Speaker 5: this is the sixties.
- 50:34Speaker 4: So that's all I describe it. But I called Jamaica
- 50:36Speaker 4: music reggae. For you, what's your favorite era? My favorite era?
- 50:40Speaker 5: When my favorite era was when I was a boy
- 50:42Speaker 5: in the eighties, when I was learning it. My favorite
- 50:45Speaker 5: era is not me because I'm not my favorite artist.
- 50:48Speaker 5: I never learned this from listening to me.
- 50:50Speaker 4: I learned this. I'm listening to the greats, So that
- 50:52Speaker 4: was my greatest era.
- 50:53Speaker 5: And I was listening to me man like Brigad Dear Jerry,
- 50:56Speaker 5: Charlie Chaplin, Josie Whale, Super Yellow Man, General Trees and
- 51:03Speaker 5: Super Papa San and Stitchy and all the greats coming
- 51:07Speaker 5: up to Shaparanki Jaman, Super Kia, Nickadee Must.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Those are the golden.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Era for me because everything I'm doing now, that's where
- 51:16Speaker 5: I get the inspiration from. So the era for me
- 51:19Speaker 5: was what inspired me, and that was its seventies, late seventies,
- 51:24Speaker 5: seventieth seventy nine straight to the early eighties. Those was
- 51:30Speaker 5: the golden era for me.
- 51:32Speaker 3: One of the most iconic moments in the last year
- 51:35Speaker 3: what's your versus battle? Were being in there, shut down,
- 51:38Speaker 3: shut down, a round close for.
- 51:40Speaker 4: That moment you talk about Corona. My parents didn't even
- 51:45Speaker 4: know how to use Instagram. They were watching. We sat
- 51:49Speaker 4: and watched it together. They haven't been so proud and
- 51:52Speaker 4: so long. Thank you. Yeah you were. No, that was
- 51:56Speaker 4: really a great moment. I like it. I am xiety.
- 51:58Speaker 4: That was ha really mad for Yeah, it was a
- 51:59Speaker 4: lot letter. I know your hair issue. So how did that?
- 52:03Speaker 4: How did that lead up to resolving the issues? Were
- 52:06Speaker 4: also performing together. We had the result of issue sometime
- 52:11Speaker 4: before that.
- 52:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so it was It was so easy to
- 52:15Speaker 5: do the verses because we've been doing a couple collaborative
- 52:18Speaker 5: show a couple of years before, and we grew up.
- 52:23Speaker 4: Now we will still be against each other coming up.
- 52:28Speaker 4: It does best to be for each other going up.
- 52:31Speaker 4: You understand what we are gonna do. Do that till
- 52:33Speaker 4: we die. Na man.
- 52:35Speaker 5: So we used to be rival. I know we are hideous,
- 52:38Speaker 5: So we booked out side. He's no more rival, he's
- 52:41Speaker 5: just being hide us, you understand. And then we learned
- 52:45Speaker 5: that this became a legend, very competition and people from
- 52:53Speaker 5: younger generation want to see it again.
- 52:56Speaker 4: He's not every class people wanted to.
- 52:58Speaker 5: Really, he's not everyone so interesting and so enticing and
- 53:03Speaker 5: you know, excitement, and they want to see it over
- 53:06Speaker 5: and over like a movie some clash boring that don't
- 53:09Speaker 5: and just don't. People do like to see Bonty and
- 53:11Speaker 5: Beanie with over every time. I've realizing it's become a business.
- 53:16Speaker 5: And then when Bounty and being a profum, it's more
- 53:19Speaker 5: than when being a performer.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Where are went Bounty perform it's always something to talk about.
- 53:25Speaker 5: So Bounty am Beanie does something for Bounty and being
- 53:28Speaker 5: you know, so you know this is a good thing
- 53:30Speaker 5: for Bounty and Beanie. So Bunty and Beenie have sends
- 53:33Speaker 5: them for this thing. Stay as it can be, make
- 53:37Speaker 5: it a classic performance. And then people always even though
- 53:40Speaker 5: we go into Spain in October and that's all they
- 53:44Speaker 5: wanted and being a man to do that versus something
- 53:47Speaker 5: if you're going on tour, you know we're going on
- 53:49Speaker 5: tour through the Carona and the place is just kind
- 53:52Speaker 5: of reason of little restriction all.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Over the world. Was as soon as the world reopened,
- 53:57Speaker 4: hell yeah, we will be on tour. You had a
- 54:00Speaker 4: relationship with Swiss prior so when he when he made
- 54:02Speaker 4: that call. Wasn't easy, but it was easy.
- 54:04Speaker 5: It was not because, as I told Beanie has really reconciled.
- 54:08Speaker 5: And we go and then switch car.
- 54:10Speaker 4: It was perfect. All we tell him say the issue
- 54:13Speaker 4: we have to be in the same room now, I
- 54:15Speaker 4: ain't gonna be changed. Yeah, you know that, insist it
- 54:20Speaker 4: has to be like that. That's the only issue I had.
- 54:22Speaker 4: I told him, these people not gonna be in the
- 54:23Speaker 4: same room. We can't do it. You do know about
- 54:27Speaker 4: that style. I have to look in the guy face
- 54:29Speaker 4: in my mind, I can't look at the screen. I
- 54:31Speaker 4: don't class screen. You don't do that ship. Here's the
- 54:34Speaker 4: question everybody wants to know.
- 54:35Speaker 6: Right looking man, when the cops walk in the room,
- 54:39Speaker 6: BI man is still on screen, MOUNTI killer?
- 54:41Speaker 4: Where'd you go? I never go to step away. I
- 54:45Speaker 4: never left the room.
- 54:46Speaker 5: I stepped off the camera as I was mad as
- 54:51Speaker 5: and what I'm about to say, it wouldn't be good,
- 54:55Speaker 5: say you know.
- 54:56Speaker 4: What, being and dealing up bean again?
- 54:58Speaker 5: Nice you want to be that guy and being the
- 55:00Speaker 5: performator and make it seem like we're telling some.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Am I doing this.
- 55:06Speaker 5: I had no right to come in here, and we
- 55:08Speaker 5: don't need no permit to be on a private property,
- 55:10Speaker 5: even if it's off the curfew. We are on a
- 55:13Speaker 5: private property. How you need permit for coming here? Okay,
- 55:18Speaker 5: that's the way would tell it. When there is a curfew,
- 55:21Speaker 5: mean you cannot go on the government street. You don't
- 55:23Speaker 5: mean you can't be inside your business place or your
- 55:26Speaker 5: private property conducting your private business. Do you understand I
- 55:30Speaker 5: dreams camera and I g and the world I jo
- 55:33Speaker 5: can work. You remember the rule you four year of
- 55:35Speaker 5: the country hindos one come get preside. I didn't get peace,
- 55:39Speaker 5: but never like and it can never had to come unscreened.
- 55:42Speaker 5: And there was a group of people with the managers
- 55:44Speaker 5: and everybody who conducting the thing, just like we have
- 55:46Speaker 5: a team. So you have to comm on camera to
- 55:48Speaker 5: talk about what's going on here. And you saw what's
- 55:50Speaker 5: going on. It's bounted being doing some recording. How you
- 55:54Speaker 5: work right into it? That was disrespectful already the whip it.
- 56:00Speaker 6: What was what was the reaction here after that moment
- 56:03Speaker 6: that I watched it three times the day after?
- 56:06Speaker 4: What was the reaction like here being here? The same
- 56:09Speaker 4: reaction all over the world.
- 56:11Speaker 5: It is the same vibe. It's one in Lectri find Vibe.
- 56:13Speaker 5: People kept talking about that even today I got the playlist. Yeah,
- 56:17Speaker 5: they're knowing it's a big thing for them, and they
- 56:20Speaker 5: even watch it. Even the anniversary laybor day. Again they
- 56:25Speaker 5: watched it because they repost it and say anniversary and
- 56:28Speaker 5: they don't go watch it again. One year after they're
- 56:31Speaker 5: still watching it. Yeah, so that was legend, big up.
- 56:35Speaker 5: The verses switched and.
- 56:36Speaker 4: Team they changed the game with them.
- 56:39Speaker 5: Yeah, man, that was something great, And even though after
- 56:42Speaker 5: it's gonna be a big thing, even after the pandemic,
- 56:45Speaker 5: it's something that necessary cause not everybody goes out. And
- 56:48Speaker 5: then some of the artists that they're taking two verses,
- 56:52Speaker 5: they're not even active anymore, so you wouldn't even get
- 56:56Speaker 5: the chance to pay to see them. So it's not
- 56:59Speaker 5: just current artists when they go back for the Bobby
- 57:02Speaker 5: Brown now and the kids sweat one and it's crazy
- 57:06Speaker 5: and they didn't never know what You're gonna see him
- 57:07Speaker 5: versus understanding can be so job and.
- 57:11Speaker 4: And then he can be locks and Deep said, I
- 57:15Speaker 4: never know who you got locks of s, but you
- 57:17Speaker 4: know the locks of murderer came with locks, no disrespect,
- 57:23Speaker 4: not one for him. A hot group but not like locks.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Come on, man, and he's not no biggie that they
- 57:30Speaker 5: know Jada kiss is a that kiss. They know that
- 57:33Speaker 5: kiss that they can't mess with Jada. Nobody over there
- 57:36Speaker 5: care mister jadakiss for me.
- 57:38Speaker 4: As a slaughter. He's a killer and I know he's killers.
- 57:43Speaker 5: Respect killer. Yeah, yeah, no, they are too good. Guls say,
- 57:48Speaker 5: who's gonna like off the edge? He has to be
- 57:51Speaker 5: the locks. Yeah, the locks.
- 57:52Speaker 4: As a fact. Let me ask you this.
- 57:54Speaker 3: As far as afrobeach, afrobeach is real big and I
- 57:58Speaker 3: see a lot of I hear a lot of the
- 58:00Speaker 3: influence from Jamaica, you know in the aphobe wish, what'sh
- 58:03Speaker 3: your thoughts on aphroobe It's exceptional.
- 58:05Speaker 5: I love it and I'm so happy for Africa. Africa
- 58:08Speaker 5: love every music. And then Africa finally got an international
- 58:13Speaker 5: song across, so finally has the identity musically. Just like
- 58:18Speaker 5: when you year reggae music or when your hip hop,
- 58:20Speaker 5: you know it's New York and when you reggae it's Jamaica.
- 58:22Speaker 5: Now when you're your afrobeads know that's afro and I
- 58:25Speaker 5: love it. I don't know about nobody, but aphrobeat is
- 58:28Speaker 5: sweet to me and I even never afrobeat song coming on.
- 58:32Speaker 4: My new album. I was a yeah, talk about that,
- 58:36Speaker 4: talk about the new the new music that you have.
- 58:38Speaker 5: Yeah, well, my new album called King of Kingstone. It's
- 58:42Speaker 5: close to complete. But I have so much idea because
- 58:45Speaker 5: it's eighteen years since I've done an album.
- 58:47Speaker 4: So eighteen years.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, when you have so many pay senior
- 58:51Speaker 5: and no and so much musical arts and development, it's
- 58:55Speaker 5: hard to us make an album easy the first one
- 58:58Speaker 5: after this one, maybe I can just make two more
- 59:00Speaker 5: reason or but.
- 59:02Speaker 4: I need to be done from eighteen years of little music. Colleague,
- 59:05Speaker 4: the want the people that I should have collaborated. That's
- 59:08Speaker 4: why we're so deep. You're the king of reggae collaboration.
- 59:12Speaker 6: So who is somebody that you haven't worked with yet
- 59:15Speaker 6: that's on the list, Like, I need to get them.
- 59:17Speaker 4: On this album.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Barry's Barry's Ailum may say, Yeah, that's one that's on
- 59:26Speaker 5: the list. That's my dad says yeah, Barys the Maestro,
- 59:30Speaker 5: the Boss. Yeah, he's the king.
- 59:32Speaker 4: I love her.
- 59:32Speaker 5: Bro you know.
- 59:34Speaker 4: So I've been Marry Sunny to be grind.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but I got some I always wondered why, Like
- 59:41Speaker 3: my favorite artist is nots he takes so one of
- 59:45Speaker 3: my favorite. It takes so long to make music, it
- 59:47Speaker 3: get frustrates me. Something you're doing rough, rush person. I
- 59:50Speaker 3: always wondered why great musicians take so Yeah, like you said,
- 59:53Speaker 3: you eighteen years like just like I can't believe it.
- 59:57Speaker 3: Why I I th eighteen years? But even Lamar not
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: that long. But a lot of a lot of great
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: was really Junior.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: Gonna even come and gets me up, and even Brother
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: didn't stand those two men are this at tenable album?
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: And then since my visa has been canceled ten years ago,
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: that's what I really killed my vibes to America. Yeah,
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: I can't go to America. I haven't been there ten
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: years now. I don't even know why the ship they
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: cancel the visa. Well, I only have a little WE charge.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: I could have been a we charge because I had
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: I had a we charge in nineteen ninety seven. And
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: then when I came back to Jamaica, I went to
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: the embassy and they canceled the visa that I had
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: and they gave me something a waiver, So they waved
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: that ship and I've been traveling on a waiver since
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: nineteen ninety seven up to twenty ten, thirteen years. Then
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: all of a sudden, the wave does not wave in anymore.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on because I've done anything else.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: As I said, it was one we charge and I
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: got a waiver and I've been traveling on it. Then
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: all of a sudden, the visa a scancel and they're
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: saying that we charge so you can travel, just not
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: to America.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: Yeah, we need to Canada, not to the UK either. Woo.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: I can't go to you pretty biggest marketing. Yeah, they're
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: sucking up ship.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: That's why I am to making certain music because I
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: like to go toward. I like to go look in
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: the people's face. I like to go bring the music
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: to the people. And I never know about streaming and
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: all these statements lying on keeping physical copy of soul.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Yeah, so.
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: I have to adjust and getting finished online market ships.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: So that's why I'm just making the.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Album streamers now it makes it wow. Yeah, get your
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: music stream Yeah. Yeah, physically you can't go there, but
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: streaming take you there. So make it work.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: We need to see you in the States. Listen with
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: right came, Listen the call, make the call about to
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: kill out in the States properly. In New York City, Brooklyn.
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: We need him in Brooklyn. Yeah, clap it up for that,
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: flap it up for that. Yeah, we need him in Brooklyn.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: We need he needs his own float. Yeah, prey. Oh,
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: we need him in the in the labor they parade,
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: We need him in the But you know that's my thing.

- 1:02:34Speaker 10: front man mayby sham, all of us can preach everybody.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Yeah, we gotta make a call Easton Parkway. It's not
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: the same, not the same, that's not the same. But
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: we're gonna make a call. We we gotta get them back.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: We gotta go. That's the favorite in New York. We're

- 1:02:52Speaker 4: Soon I get there.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: But nah, I appreciate your working on it, no joke.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: This is definitely very enjoyable. But would you like to
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: leave the people wait? Other than I know you got
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: the album coming out, anything else that you're working on
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: or what like, the people know you're well, oh.
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: Well, the most interesting thing is really my album getting out.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: The album right now, and.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: I'm about to sign a new publishing deed with Conquered Publishing.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: And I'm about to get some more dance all in
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: the song of people because there's a there's a competition,
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: I know there comes to trap all and confusing the
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: people in the world.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: If this is the new song of Jamaica, and.
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: It is, it's trap music in Jamaica. Yeah, you got
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: some local trappers, no problem with it. But it's not
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: the new song on Jamaica. It's just a sound that
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Jamaica and plays, you understand. That's why that's all I
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: want him to tell people. Don't tell this can be
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: no new song. It's an old song from overseas that
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: you're playing with.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: This can be our new song, some song that came
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: from some other place.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Now, all our songs are our creative song is original,
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: you understand. So they're playing with it in the country.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: But we have the real family then, so and that's
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: what the people know, and that's what they want. Songs
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: rhythms like dally you understand. Yeah, So who's some of
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: the artists that you like. Let's cover it up younger artists,
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: all the younger ones. You got so many great young artists.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: My favorite young artists them know is really get stand
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: up rot, j Krannis, Massive Car mm hmm and even
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: more recent now you got one named Jaska m h
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: younger ones, Nation Bars and the couple the younger you
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: would wear we are the good. But there are so
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: many young ones. But those are my like a pick
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: for now so far. But they are always talking to
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: coming up in Germany and everybody in Jamaica of music
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: in their soul.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Let us don't discovery it as it so you never know.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: All the guy who used to walk in you're saying,
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: are you gonna be working with him? He said he
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: was trying to work with a lot of artists and
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: do like.
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: When involve my virgin and he's a friend of mine
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: and he's getting into the music.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, so who to tell?
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: And then he's working with Dave kill when of my
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: legend there juice, So they never can tell, that's right, Yeah,
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: so who to tell? I'm willing to be a part
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: of any project he's putting out because I'm a supporter
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: of him and I like the fact that he's supporting
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: that music and he never he's not doing music to
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: make ship. He doesn't making music, still make music, So
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: I'm excited to see him in music.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: A lot of people trying to bash him and all that,
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: but why are you going to bash him? They know
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: he's a music lover. He is a music I met
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: you seeing as a young sprinter when he was just
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: coming up at the club the Asylum.
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: That's where we became familiar with each other in parties
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: and he was always on the dance for doing the dances.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: Then that's when mamies and doing dance and that's him naturally.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: So he's not putting on any front like a command
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: take up music for people seeing. No, he loves music.
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: He's one of the biggest music supporters him. He's a
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: big guzz fan. Remember everybody knows the same support vibes
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: Cart and all these things, you understand, And he's a
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: big fan of Bounty Killer to him, a big fun
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: of everybody owned to Cart and and favorite you understands.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Jermy and I know have a favorite and favorites. Favorite
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: of the favorites. If you have something about your artists are.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Artists. You have to pick aside. That's artists.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: And your artists because they're great autist think, I said, music,
