- 0:00Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 91.
- 0:03Dayna Roselli: One of the most star-studded gallas of the year just wrapped up, and we were there as stars arrived.
- 0:09Sean McAllister: From Bobby Flay to Boys to Men and Smokey Robinson, our new star interviews are straight ahead.
- 0:26Sean McAllister: Could masks soon be a thing of the past at Las Vegas casinos?
- 0:31Sean McAllister: More shows added on the Las Vegas strip for two big superstars and breaking show news.
- 0:37Dayna Roselli: Vegas Revealed starts now.
- 0:39Dayna Roselli: Let's spin the wheel.
- 0:46SPEAKER_06: Let's go to Vegas.
- 0:48unknown: Let's stay on it.
- 0:49Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 91.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here with Sean McAllister.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: And boy, we need to get right to it because this podcast is full of breaking news.
- 1:00Sean McAllister: And I think the biggest news that uh just came out within the past couple days that nobody saw coming is that Celine Dion is delaying the launch of her brand new Vegas show, which was set to launch November 5th over at Resorts World.
- 1:16Sean McAllister: But that's not happening anymore, Dana.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: And when you say it's huge, it is because it's Celine Dion, but it also is because that was supposed to be the first show in the brand new theater that has not opened yet at Resorts World.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: So it was like the huge debut for the entire property.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, in a statement that was put out by Celine Dion and Resorts World, uh, they say that it was an unforeseen medical issue with Celine that caused the delay of the opening of her show.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: Um apparently Celine has been experiencing severe muscle spasms, which prevented her from not only performing, but rehearsing for the show.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Apparently the rehearsals are, you know, continuing because there must be a huge, you know, cast and crew, but they're continuing without her.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: And without her being able to be there, you know, basically the show needs to be delayed.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: And, you know, the wording is everything.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: It's delayed, not canceled.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: The show is not cancelled.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: Uh Celine plans to be back.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: Uh people that had tickets to her show during those dates can get refunds, and uh they expect her to be, you know, debuting the show inside that theater at some point.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: For now, though, it looks like Carrie Underwood is gonna be the one to open that theater, which I think her show starts December 1st.
- 2:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's right.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: So here's the situation with Celine's dates.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: She was supposed to open her show the beginning of November.
- 2:45Sean McAllister: Then she had more dates on the calendar in January through February.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: Those are now off.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: But also on Celine's calendar is her Courage World Tour, which she is still planning to go ahead with starting in March.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: So it could be uh like the middle of 2022 by the time Celine hits the stage over at Resorts World, which just uh kind of lets the wind out of your sails a little bit, because I know so many people, not only here in Las Vegas, but around the world, were just so excited for Celine to be back on stage here in Vegas.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and let's be honest, I mean, obviously, I'm sure Resorts World feels for Celine, understands, but it's also a big blow to them because they're, you know, they were ramping this up, getting ready for it.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: She was in all their commercials, tickets were sold, they had to add extra shows because they sold out so quickly.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: So it's a hard situation.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: It's it's a a business deal, you know, and and in medical problems.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: You can't do anything about it.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: It is not Celine's fault.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: But I can only imagine, you know, Celine is heartbroken, the fans are heartbroken, then Resorts World and the staff there have to be, you know, upset about it as well and trying to figure out, okay, plan B.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: Yep, and plan B is gonna be waiting until Celine is ready to get back on stage and healthy enough to get back on stage.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: And we certainly wish Celine well and hope that she has a very speedy recovery.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: But as you mentioned, Dana, that means Carrie Underwood is the first headliner that we'll see on stage over at Resorts World in December, followed by Katy Perry and Luke Bryan heading into the beginning of 2022.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: Okay, so before we get into some other breaking news happening around Las Vegas, and some of it has to do with shows, uh, let's talk about the mask mandate.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: We've had a lot of questions lately from people that don't live in Las Vegas, people that are in Las Vegas, just in conversation, going, hey, you know what?
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: When do the masks come off indoors?
- 4:51Dayna Roselli: And we're just so used to wearing them now.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: Um, we forget, like, someday, hopefully, we won't have to do that anymore.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: And we're in a position right now where we've got two different situations going.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: We're doing well with meeting one of our requirements, and then we're not doing well with another requirement.
- 5:11Dayna Roselli: So we're halfway there.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: Is that what we'd call it?
- 5:14Sean McAllister: I guess so.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: Halfway there, I guess, is better than not even on the road to being there.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: Um, yeah, so two sets of criteria we have to meet.
- 5:23Sean McAllister: We're meeting one of them, still a little ways off on the other.
- 5:27Sean McAllister: Uh, there are rumors, unconfirmed, that potentially masks could come off mid-November.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: If we still have one of these criteria to meet, though, I don't know if that's gonna be the case.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: Still, hopefully that'll maybe be something that we can celebrate as we ring in 2022.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: Let's hope, because you know, we just actually were on the strip doing a uh work project, and it does get, you know, difficult keeping the mask on for so long when you're running around and up and down stairs and that kind of thing.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: And and you know, I know people having fun too feel the same way.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: They'd like to take them off, but um obviously there's always an opportunity to keep it on, too, for folks that feel comfortable wearing one, just keep it on and wear it.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: It just won't be a requirement indoors.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: Um, something else that I wanted to mention along with that is uh we need a two-week decline.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: So it's all comes down to positivity rates and case numbers and things like that, but it all has to do with this kind of two-week span.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: So that's that's what we're gearing for.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: Two weeks where we have major drops in certain areas.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: So we will keep you posted.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: But for now, if you're coming to Las Vegas anytime soon, masks on indoors, masks off outdoors.
- 6:43Sean McAllister: All right, let's turn to something a little more glamorous than masks.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: I'm talking about the Keep Memory Alive Power of Love gala, which is one of the most star-studded events that we see in Las Vegas all year round.
- 6:57Sean McAllister: Huge name stars come out to support this gala, which goes to raise money for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
- 7:08Sean McAllister: They're doing tons of work on Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, uh, any ailment that affects brain and memory.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: We have a state-of-the-art facility here in Las Vegas where doctors are making breakthroughs and doing incredible work and not only treating people with brain disorders, but also providing lots of resources for family members who care for those patients.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's really important and it affects so many people.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: So that's why all these A-listers come out to support this event.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: And uh another thing that they always do is they honor people.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: And the two people that were honored this year were Smokey Robinson and Babyface, two legends, really.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: And you were there on the red carpet, Sean, and were able to talk to some of them, and we were looking at at some of the highlights too, and just to see such a large group of legendary people on stage talking about the importance of raising money for this cause, and also, you know, coming together and collaborating in music and and talking with each other.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: We're talking Bruno Mars was there, uh Jordan Sparks was there, Charlie Wilson, as I mentioned, Smokey Robinson, Babyface, Wanye Morris from Boys to Men, and so many people.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: And then you've got the chefs.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's right.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: Wolfgang Puck is always a fixture at these Power of Love galaxies.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: He was a part of the very first event.
- 8:36Sean McAllister: He actually kind of got everybody together in his restaurant at Spago for the very first event 25 years ago.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: Uh, he was joined this year by Bobby Flay.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: And uh, spoke with Bobby Flay as he arrived on the red carpet, and uh he just was kind of elated.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: He was like a kid in a candy shop a little bit, because uh it's something I hadn't realized, but Wolfgang Puck is one of Bobby Flay's culinary idols.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: So he was over the moon to be in the kitchen cooking side by side with Wolfgang for that prestigious gala.
- 9:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you have to understand something.
- 9:15SPEAKER_04: When I first started cooking in the restaurant business, Wolfgang was and still is my culinary idol.
- 9:21SPEAKER_04: And I'm I'm lucky enough to call him a friend.
- 9:24SPEAKER_04: You know, it's like, and so, like, you know, when when I got the call to do this, and it was like it was you and Wolfgang Puck, it's like one of my career highlights.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was fun to see that, you know, and gosh, both of them look so great, Wolfgang and Bobby.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: Their food is always so delicious.
- 9:39Dayna Roselli: Bobby's Burgers is at Caesar's Palace already, but then he announced this week as well that he's gonna be adding two new locations on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: One location is going to be at Harris, Las Vegas, the other at Paris, Las Vegas, both within the Caesars family.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: And, you know, I've talked to Bobby so many times over the years here in Las Vegas, and it's it was hard to believe that it's been like 17 or 18 years that he has had a restaurant out here in Las Vegas.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: So he was, you know, on the early end of the celebrity chefs coming to town and has, you know, opened up several restaurants, and we're glad to see that continuing.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: Yes, in a previous episode, Sean and I went to Amalfi, and that was delicious.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: Brand new restaurant at Caesar's Palace, very high-end, tons of fish and Italian.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: It was it was great.
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: So you can go back and and listen to that one, another Bobby Flay restaurant.
- 10:35Sean McAllister: And so following uh this red carpet, we got that news about Bobby's new restaurants.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: We also got news that Smokey Robinson has two shows set for the Venetian coming up in March.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: And as Dana mentioned, Smokey Robinson was one of the honorees at the Power of Love Gala, and we talked to him about all the new projects he has in the works right now.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I have a wine company, and tonight they're serving our wines, so that's a big deal for me.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: You know, we we just have been um we we we launched about a year so a boat, and that's a huge deal for them to feature our wines here.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: And uh then I'm working on two different albums, one in English and one in Spanish.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And um, so I'm just about done with the English one now.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: I've got a uh few things I have to do to wrap it up, and the Spanish one should be done in a couple of weeks.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: He looks incredible too.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: We got some video on our social media if you want to check it out.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: But March 11th and 12th, you can go see Smokey live in person.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: Someone tweeted us just recently saying, I'd love to see Smokey live.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: It's like, well, there you have it.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Smokey Robinson will be at the Venetian.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: His tickets on sale already.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: They went on sale October 22nd.
- 11:46Sean McAllister: And just a little uh funny thing that happened on the red carpet Smokey Robinson and Kenny Loggins were talking.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: Kenny was also there.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: Oh didn't you ask Kenny about Top Gun?
- 11:57Sean McAllister: Yes, I did.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Okay, you know what?
- 12:01Sean McAllister: Let's put a pin in that.
- 12:02Sean McAllister: Let's come back to Top Gun in our tips.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: Okay, okay, our tips.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: Oh boy, I gotta wait to the end.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: I remember you saying something.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: It was quick and it was brief, and we we did it in passing, and you're like, remind me to tell you about Top Gun.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: So okay, we'll save it for tips.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: Okay, so Smokey and Kenny Loggins were talking, and uh, you know, Kenny was like, Smokey, you've had such a a great career, you know, you've you're timeless, you have so many songs, you've done so much.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: And Smokey looked at Kenny Loggins and he said, You know, Kenny, uh have you ever had any of your songs sampled by other artists?
- 12:37Sean McAllister: And Kenny said, Well, no, I haven't.
- 12:39Sean McAllister: And Smokey looked at him and he said, make sure that happens as soon as possible because you will get rich.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: Oh, so what is so sampled?
- 12:49Dayna Roselli: What does that mean?
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Like they can sing them?
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: What like what does that mean?
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: Do you know?
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Like using parts of a song in somebody else's music.
- 12:58Sean McAllister: Like in rap, you hear, you know, some other song, like Tears of a Clown from Smokey Robinson.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: Like that's been sampled and put into other songs.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: Okay, got it.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: It's interesting that you say that, because you said, you know, obviously Babyface was honored there as well.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: And when I was at at M Matt Goss's show one time, Babyface came backstage and he said, I like the way that you sang this song.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: Can I produce a certain version and I feel like it's gonna be really popular?
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: And then it was I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: So Baby took that on.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: Matt ended up releasing that as a charity single during COVID.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: Uh, but interesting how you know these successful artists and and definitely when they have the producer mind, Babyface and Smokey Robinson, both huge music producers as well, think of these things.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: Without a doubt, it's a a glimpse into the into the business minds of these incredible musicians.
- 13:57Sean McAllister: Um, and just keeping on the on the theme of music and Vegas shows, uh, one of your favorite shows that you absolutely loved, Dana, was the after party.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: And this was kind of like the ultimate boy band mashup performance.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: It was, and it was very casual too.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: So it was at the Venetian, it was sold out.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: Somebody happened to have two extra tickets that somebody didn't show up, and I ran over there last minute to see the show.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: I was so glad I did.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: It was Juanye Morris from Boys to Men, and then Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys, AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys, Joey Fatone from InSync, and then every night they had like a special guest.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: When I was there, it was Coolio singing Gangster's Paradise.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: So it was random, very casual, but very raw, very organic, and just a fun vibe because of that.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it was a short run.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: I think it was like four nights, and there wasn't any major talk of it coming back anytime soon.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: So I put you on a mission.
- 14:54Sean McAllister: Yes, you did, and I I think I achieved the mission.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: As Juanye Morris from Boys to Men uh, you know, approached me there on the red carpet.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: I was asking him all about the after party and what it was like just getting up there and having so much fun.
- 15:11Sean McAllister: But we also wanted to know if that show was coming back.
- 15:14Sean McAllister: Here's that conversation.
- 15:16SPEAKER_05: The the work came in the preparation.
- 15:18SPEAKER_05: Uh being on stage is not necessarily work, it's fun, you know, especially when you got you know three other guys on stage that are you know looking to have as much fun as you are and and and give the people the memories that they're looking for and just enjoy the night.
- 15:32SPEAKER_05: So it was it was it was an awesome occasion.
- 15:34SPEAKER_05: I can't wait to do more.
- 15:36SPEAKER_05: So we we will see more after party in Vegas?
- 15:38SPEAKER_05: I'm pretty sure you will see it.
- 15:39SPEAKER_05: I'm sure you will, yes.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: Yes, I'm so glad that the after party is returning.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Let me tell you folks, when those tickets go on sale, they're gonna sell quick because it's a good show, and I know fans from all the different groups came out to support the guys and were right there, front row, and selling out the place.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: It's not a huge, huge theater at the Venetian, but it's big enough.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: But, you know, that's what makes it special and intimate.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: So looking forward to that.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: Some more breaking show news that came out last week as well.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: Bruno Mars adding dates to his calendar of shows that he's been doing over at the Park MGM.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: But the nugget I took from it was I'm seeing a date of December 31st.
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, Bruno on New Year's Eve, that's huge.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, I don't think there's any more energetic way to ring in 2022 than with Bruno Mars up on stage in front of you.
- 16:35Sean McAllister: Um so his dates that have been just added are December 17th and 18th.
- 16:41Sean McAllister: Uh, and as Dana mentioned, the New Year's Eve dates December 30th and 31st.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: We also just found out another entertainer who will be here in Las Vegas for New Year's Eve is Lizzo.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: She is so another one that's so much fun and so entertaining and energetic.
- 17:01Sean McAllister: Uh she'll probably bust out her flute up on stage.
- 17:05Sean McAllister: She loves to do that.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: Uh, Lizzo is performing at the Virgin Hotel inside the theater at that property.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I can't believe New Year's Eve is creeping up on us.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: I can't believe it's gonna be 2022.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: But some more show news for 2022 is Sir Rod Stewart extending his Las Vegas residency show over at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: So this will be his 11th year.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: He has added a bunch of dates in May that he'll be performing and also September.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: So it's May 13th to the 21st and September 23rd to October 1st.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: You can go see Sir Rod Stewart.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: He is not going anywhere.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: He will still be kicking that soccer ball around on stage at the Coliseum.
- 17:49Sean McAllister: Hey, he kicks those soccer balls all the way up into the top balcony.
- 17:54Sean McAllister: That guy has still got a leg on him, and boy, can he sing too.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: Uh, what do you say, Dana?
- 17:58Sean McAllister: We get into our tips.
- 18:02Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 18:03Dayna Roselli: All right, it is Halloween week.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Las Vegas always does it right.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: You know, and when you think of Halloween, sometimes you might not think Las Vegas, right?
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: But no, we've got incredible stuff going on here.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: We talk about it every year.
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: And a couple things that we wanted to mention, there's a full list, first of all, and we're gonna put it on our website, Vegas-Revealed.com.
- 18:22Dayna Roselli: And that's where you can find more details about all these events happening because there are so many.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: So if you're coming to Las Vegas or you already live here, uh Area 15, doing the fetish and fantasy Halloween ball.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: Doesn't that sound fun?
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: And if you're into sci-fi, which is very Halloween, they've got the dueling axes throwing lounge, the Lost Spirits Distillery, all sorts of things over there at Area 15.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: Then there is something that I will never attend, okay?
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: And I'm talking about the gates of hell.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: The Freakling Brothers Gates of Hell.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: I'm not sure if this is the one you have to sign a waiver for, but I think it might be.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: But this place is freaking scary, Sean.
- 19:07Sean McAllister: I have not been to the attraction myself.
- 19:11Sean McAllister: However, working in TV, we had some of their cast members come into the studio several times, and they would always show up unbeknownst to us being on air, and they would be in cahoots with our producers and scare us as we were in the middle of like doing stories, and they're terrifying.
- 19:37Sean McAllister: They really are just scary, scary people.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: They are, and Sean, if that doesn't scare you enough, they've added a new experience this year called the men's room.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: Like, who knows what that's about?
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: What happens in the men's room, or I don't know, but yeah, they have all sorts of different R-rated haunted house attractions, and uh this year you can check out Coven of 13 and Castle Vampire and then the men's room.
- 20:08Sean McAllister: I can check it out, but I don't think that I will because haunted houses scare the living crap out of me.
- 20:17Sean McAllister: I am such a baby when it comes to haunted houses.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: Alright, so let's soften the blow a little.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: How about the Museum of Selfies?
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: That sounds fun, right?
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: That's over at the Link Promenade.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: And if you're looking to show off your costume to all your followers, you can take some gram-worthy picks at the Museum of Selfies.
- 20:32Sean McAllister: Although the selfies could still be scary depending on the day and what you've been through.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: Listen, mine never looks scary.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: You know why?
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: Because I just put a little filter on it.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: They look scary if you look through my phone for the raw images.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: Okay, well, the Museum of Selfies is doing a discount.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: $5 discount on entry to the museum if you wear a costume, okay?
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: So it might be a good time to check that out.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: Win Night Life is having the Win Nightlife zone at XS, and you can head over there, and it's gonna be kind of like this alternate dimension of the Encore Night Spot.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: It's doing like some transformation for Halloween, so that kind of sounds cool.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: They'll have DJs there, and uh, I believe they're gonna have the Chain Smokers, Kaigo, and Diplo all headlining through the weekend.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: So it's a big weekend for the win.
- 21:17Sean McAllister: Also, uh little John will be at Hakasan Nightclub, Tau Nightclub will also have events, and uh Zook over at Resorts World is also getting in on the freaky festivities as well.
- 21:31Sean McAllister: But again, as Dana mentioned, we have an entire list of all the goings-on for Halloween across the city of Las Vegas, on the strip and downtown, posted on our website, Vegas Revealed.com.
- 21:46Sean McAllister: All right, Dana, I know that since I mentioned it earlier, you have just been like on the edge of your seat waiting for this top gun news.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: And I can't remember what you told me because we were both busy and you're on the phone, you're like, wait till I.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: I tell you about what Kenny Loggins said about Top Gun, and then I meant to ask you, and I don't even know how I could possibly forget.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: So let's do this raw, uncensored.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: Uh I really don't know what you're gonna say.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: I'm excited to hear the tip at the same time as the listeners.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: Alright, so Kenny Loggins obviously is the guy behind the theme of Top Gun.
- 22:22unknown: The theme.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: Danger Zone.
- 22:24unknown: Right.
- 22:24Sean McAllister: And I mean everybody knows it from the original Top Gun movie back in the eighties.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: And the big question was will Danger Zone appear in Top Gun Maverick, which was supposed to come out last year, and then it was pushed, and now it's pushed again and again, and now it's not even supposed to hit theaters until May of 2022.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: I know it was supposed to be one of those Thanksgiving movies.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: I was I had it on the calendar.
- 22:53Dayna Roselli: I just saw it as I was looking through our November plans and I had to hit delete.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: So Top Gun Maverick, is Danger Zone gonna be in the movie?
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: And he said what?
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: Of course, right?
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: It has to well, I'm gonna predict.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: It can't, you can't have a Top Gun movie or part two without Danger Zone.
- 23:11Sean McAllister: Well, Dana, instead of me telling you the answer, why don't we let Kenny Loggins tell you the answer?
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: I only met Tom Cruise about uh a year and a half ago.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: And the first thing I said to him when I met him is, okay, yes or no.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: Is Danger Zone a part of the new movie?
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: He said it's it can't be Top Gun without Danger Zone.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, of course, right?
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: And then the fact that he's only met Tom Cruise last year.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: Like, so me and Kenny Loggins are kind of in the same zone.
- 23:40Dayna Roselli: Because I have never met Tom Cruise and he's on my list.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: And Kenny Loggins didn't either, just until last year.
- 23:47Sean McAllister: I mean, what?
- 23:47Sean McAllister: The original Top Gun came out in what, like 1985, 1986?
- 23:52Sean McAllister: And that's when the Kenny Loggins song was in the movie, and it took until 2020, 2019, 2020, for Kenny Loggins to meet him.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: I mean, that's kind of insane, I think.
- 24:05Sean McAllister: But it has been confirmed Danger Zone is going to be in Top Gun Maverick in theaters May of 2022.
- 24:13Sean McAllister: And I hear from a little birdie that uh it is the song that we're going to see in a big montage at the very beginning of the movie.
- 24:22Sean McAllister: So you don't have to sit through the entire thing to hear it.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: I am gonna get there early.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: I like to fist pump at the big part.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, it's gonna be an event.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Whenever it actually gets in there, Sean.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, we are gonna fist pump.
- 24:36Dayna Roselli: Danger zone's gonna come on, we're gonna stand up and cheer.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: I am so excited.
- 24:41Sean McAllister: I think we might need to get some clearance to have a camera inside the theater, not to shoot the movie screen, but just as a reaction camera for you.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: I can't even believe it.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: It's like, am I gonna be 50 years old by the time this thing comes out?
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: Everyone keeps saying Tom Cruise is, you know, not even gonna look the same anymore because he shot it so many years ago.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: And it's been about a year and a half, well, two years now, and then by the time it comes out.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: So anyway, Tom Cruise looking a lot different these days, anyway, but that's a whole nother story and something that the gossip columnists can follow.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: It looks fine.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: I think Tom looks great.
- 25:17Sean McAllister: So, Dana, there is your Top Gun tip just for you.
- 25:20Sean McAllister: I asked Kenny Loggins about Top Gun.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: That is a good one.
- 25:25Dayna Roselli: All right, I love it.
- 25:25Dayna Roselli: And if you're wondering what the deal is, obviously, I think you've been able to tell.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: I'm a huge Top Gun fan.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: It's my favorite, favorite movie of all time.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: I get pumped.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: We're looking forward to the movie.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: We've been talking about it a lot.
- 25:36Dayna Roselli: All right, so that's a show.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: Lots of breaking news.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: Um, some good, some bad.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: Again, best wishes to Celine Dion, who was supposed to start her show at Resorts World and debut that brand new theater that they haven't opened yet.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: But it looks like it's gonna have to wait, and Carrie Underwood will be the one that's gonna open up that theater on December 1st.
- 25:55Sean McAllister: And also, Dana, I just want to mention it was super great to work with the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: They've been uh out in the community doing so much to help kids in our community and so many different charities.
- 26:09Sean McAllister: And we were there uh to shoot a story for the Raiders as they were putting on a flag football clinic for some youngsters here in the Las Vegas Valley, and just they really are a great organization, such classy people from top to bottom.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: That was a lot of fun.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: I'll put some clips on our social media from that as well.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: But yeah, we've got a busy, listen, week, weekend, the whole nine.
- 26:33Dayna Roselli: We were gonna try and fit in Terry Fader in this episode because we went to see Terry at his new theater inside New York, New York.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: But we'll save that for next episode when we talk about a slew of shows that we are attending, including Gwen Stefani.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: She's back at Zappos Theater.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: We're going to see Sting at the Coliseum on the 29th.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if we'll get that in the next podcast, but we'll talk about Gwen.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: We'll talk about Terry Fader, and then Sean and I also going to Nobu at Caesars Palace this weekend for a big dinner to celebrate some really cool upgrades that they've done there.
