After 22 years of warming Milwaukee with hearty soups, The Soup Market is closing its doors for good — a heartbreaking end fueled by an eviction notice and a broken HVAC system that turned their Bay View kitchen into a sweltering 95-degree sauna. Owner Dave Jurena, who poured over $200K into the space, says the business simply can’t survive without its main production hub.
