Guilty Plea in Fatal Hit-and-Run | Dayton News
A Dayton man, Brandon Douglas, 40, has pleaded guilty to fatal hit-and-run charges after crashing into and killing Amanda Moore in Xenia at 38-42 mph in a 25 mph zone. Instead of stopping, he fled, hid his car, removed the license plate, and returned to Dayton—where authorities later found the scene. His vehicle had no mechanical issues, but he was driving with a suspended license. Now facing up to nine years in prison, a $30K fine, and a three-year driver’s license suspension, his sentencing is scheduled for October 21 at 1:30 PM.
