Lauren recently competed in the Olympic Trials in the 10,000m. She qualified for that race less than a year postpartum at the Portland Track Festival.

Lauren was a professional triathlete for a long time after starting to compete in triathlon while in college. She has done 11 70.3 half Ironmans.
