- 0:03Speaker 1: Hey, did you guys hear the one about the bat
- 0:05Speaker 1: dog that caused an injury? Did you guys hear about that?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Kendall Rogers name Ken George Kendl George.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Knee injury.
- 0:18Speaker 2: That's bad.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Yeah, one of the fastest prospects in the miners. He
- 0:21Speaker 1: was trying to avoid the team's bat dog in a
- 0:25Speaker 1: game a couple of nights ago. So they came out
- 0:27Speaker 1: with the story yesterday that they're trying to figure out
- 0:30Speaker 1: what the situation is with the knee. Is there anything
- 0:33Speaker 1: from a protocol perspective that you change, like does?
- 0:37Speaker 3: No?
- 0:40Speaker 2: No, No, I don't know what you can do. I mean,
- 0:43Speaker 2: bad dogs have been around wherever.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Right, I mean, what are you gonna do? Have a
- 0:46Speaker 1: have a chat with the dog about it? Hey, you
- 0:52Speaker 1: hurt one of our guys.
- 0:53Speaker 2: You were in the way, but the trainer maybe you
- 0:55Speaker 2: let him go too soon or something the handler.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Oh, so maybe you talk to the trainer about it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but if this guy's hurt, that sucks for him.
- 1:04Speaker 3: That's when a shot clock. I mean the damage is
- 1:08Speaker 3: done now.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But with the pitchclock, how are you gonna let like
- 1:11Speaker 2: the dog has to get out there to get the
- 1:13Speaker 2: bat or else you have to start having violations the
- 1:17Speaker 2: team's fault. It's part of the minor league gimmicks.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I didn't think about that. The pitch clock makes it
- 1:25Speaker 1: a little bit more of a thing.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean the play hadn't even ended. The
- 1:28Speaker 2: pitchclock didn't start right away. True, the play hadn't even ended.
- 1:32Speaker 2: He was trying to he was scoring and he had
- 1:34Speaker 2: to move. That was the thing that was the problem.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Just a freak accident just happened.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Stuff happened.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Sometimes stuff happens.
- 1:40Speaker 2: We're always looking for a reason why. Sometimes stuff just happens.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yes, if it happened five times, we'll talk about it.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We talked about it anyway. But it happens once or twice.
- 1:50Speaker 1: It's a fluke. Now, some things are done on purpose,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and that is how we will lead off today.
- 2:02Speaker 4: What do you have for me on Abnary Rebay?
- 2:07Speaker 2: First of all, I mean I was a big DX
- 2:10Speaker 2: fan back in the day. So thing dropping the stuck it.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It was not awesome towards the Cardinals dugout and not
- 2:17Speaker 2: so awesome. Uh yeah, I mean he went full d X.
- 2:24Speaker 2: He went full road dog Jesse James and badass Billy
- 2:27Speaker 2: Gunn on this. Also, he doesn't have to hit, so
- 2:31Speaker 2: he's never gonna get hit by a pitch. Guys can
- 2:33Speaker 2: kind of do whatever they want. I thought it was bad,
- 2:38Speaker 2: and I thought Murph kind of said the right things afterwards,
- 2:43Speaker 2: but the reason that he did it was ridiculous. And
- 2:48Speaker 2: you know, I don't I thought it was. I thought
- 2:50Speaker 2: it was hilarious because I wasn't on the other team.
- 2:52Speaker 2: If I was on the Cardinals, maybe they should have
- 2:55Speaker 2: sent someone out to spear him or something. I don't know,
- 2:57Speaker 2: but it was. It was it's a wrestling term, by
- 3:01Speaker 2: the way, people, and I thought it was.
- 3:05Speaker 3: It was.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Listen, it was something that he shouldn't have done, but
- 3:08Speaker 2: he did it, and we're talking about it.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he did it. If he does it all the time, sure,
- 3:15Speaker 1: if he does it one time, and Murphy says he
- 3:16Speaker 1: didn't like it and he apologized to the team. The
- 3:19Speaker 1: next layer, though, is why he did it. That's the
- 3:22Speaker 1: question mark here.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so why did he do it?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Well, he thinks that the Cardinals were causing trouble. But oh,
- 3:33Speaker 1: if that was really the case, now this is where
- 3:37Speaker 1: I need help.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Okay, this so I talked to Ali. He called me
- 3:43Speaker 2: because I was like, hey, before we talk about this,
- 3:44Speaker 2: can I get your side of the story.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Sure.
- 3:47Speaker 2: His side of the story was that they thought they
- 3:51Speaker 2: were relaying signs from the dugout to the hitters and
- 3:55Speaker 2: people on the field. He now, he said he doesn't know,
- 4:02Speaker 2: but he said there was a people that were suspicious
- 4:04Speaker 2: of something somebody was doing in there dug He yelled over, hey,
- 4:11Speaker 2: stop doing that. That's how someone gets hurt. That's what
- 4:16Speaker 2: led to this because apparently ribe heard through the grapevine
- 4:21Speaker 2: that they yelled out Christian Yelich and Catres are going
- 4:24Speaker 2: to get hit, which all he says, he never said,
- 4:27Speaker 2: nobody said, nobody said anything like that. He just said, hey,
- 4:31Speaker 2: you guys need to stop someone. That's how you get
- 4:34Speaker 2: somebody hurt. Like the old school, we talk about guys
- 4:36Speaker 2: out there at second base jumping around like showing off
- 4:39Speaker 2: pitches and this and that and how was hell somebody
- 4:41Speaker 2: used to get hit? All he said, which I have
- 4:44Speaker 2: I agreed with. If I listen, if I was in
- 4:46Speaker 2: the other dugout and there was a coach or somebody
- 4:48Speaker 2: that we thought was given signs, the first thing he
- 4:49Speaker 2: said was you're gonna get somebody hurt. Cut that crap
- 4:52Speaker 2: out now, and they usually did, and if they did it,
- 4:55Speaker 2: then somebody got smoked. And then if they and then
- 4:58Speaker 2: the guy who got smoked went the person in the
- 5:01Speaker 2: dunt bench or on second base, like, hey, man, cut it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: A junk hurts when I get hit, so but that
- 5:06Speaker 2: doesn't happen anymore.
- 5:07Speaker 1: How were they getting signs from the dug out?
- 5:09Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't he didn't. I didn't want
- 5:11Speaker 2: to get it. I didn't have juice. Well, I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 2: ask that question. He didn't know. They didn't know. They
- 5:16Speaker 2: just saw they were watching something, And I don't know.
- 5:18Speaker 2: He didn't tell me what they were watching. He just
- 5:20Speaker 2: said something the dugout was fishing.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Are we bringing back the what did the red Sox use?
- 5:25Speaker 2: So said? Apple watches?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Bringing back the watches? Because see that that stuff is
- 5:30Speaker 1: not a.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Lap No no, no again, I don't know, you're not
- 5:33Speaker 2: saying that.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't know. I didn't ask because I didn't want
- 5:36Speaker 2: to know that answer. Like I didn't want to. I
- 5:39Speaker 2: didn't want to say hey, because I'm like, first of all,
- 5:41Speaker 2: even if you did tell me, I wouldn't say it anyways.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But what they're getting like the dugout seeing a tip
- 5:47Speaker 1: on a picture.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I mean, I guess that's what I would think. Apparently
- 5:51Speaker 2: I know that part's legal. Yeah, I just think that
- 5:54Speaker 2: they were doing it. I don't know. Listen, if I
- 5:56Speaker 2: know this, If I was a Cardinals, if I was
- 5:58Speaker 2: on a team and was a guy and they're dugout
- 6:01Speaker 2: that was doing something that was crazy and I saw
- 6:05Speaker 2: him some that same thing would have been said. Just
- 6:08Speaker 2: it would have been hey, man, like, okay, well we'll
- 6:12Speaker 2: change it. But if you notice in the first inning
- 6:15Speaker 2: they gave up some runs and then after that I
- 6:17Speaker 2: think Livator started. He punched out like the world after that,
- 6:20Speaker 2: So they had something. It looks like I'm agrieve you sorry.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It looks like it looks like they had something. So
- 6:30Speaker 2: I don't know. Again, I don't know, but wow.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Godfather, I'm a last minute guy.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Sometimes you're a last minutic guy where you all of
- 6:40Speaker 1: a sudden see a night open up and you want
- 6:42Speaker 1: to go grab some tickets and you hadn't gotten them already,
- 6:45Speaker 1: so you're gonna seek geek and you're gonna go look
- 6:48Speaker 1: for a green dot and see where the good seats
- 6:50Speaker 1: are and the good value is, and have a Little
- 6:52Speaker 1: Night with the Fam.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Right without a doubt, and I'm looking for some of
- 6:56Speaker 5: the best seats. I'm looking for that green dot when
- 6:58Speaker 5: I get that. It's a simple plug in, use your hands,
- 7:01Speaker 5: go right on your screen, your phone, whatever platform you can.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Get it on.
- 7:06Speaker 5: And it's so simple. They make it so easy for
- 7:09Speaker 5: you to do. Even my son can do it if
- 7:11Speaker 5: I ask them, Hey, blikester, let's go man, get on
- 7:14Speaker 5: there for us. Find us a couple of seats so
- 7:15Speaker 5: we can watch even that Subway series. That would be fantastic.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Seat Geek has it all there for you.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And the code for you. You should know it. It's
- 7:24Speaker 1: Territory ten. It just gets you ten percent off your
- 7:26Speaker 1: next set of tickets. It's Eke ten percent off any
- 7:28Speaker 1: tickets with promo code Territory one zero. Make sure you
- 7:31Speaker 1: click the link in the description, download the app. Then
- 7:33Speaker 1: the code is automatically added to your account so you
- 7:35Speaker 1: can use it later.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So what is what is the rule? What exactly is
- 7:39Speaker 3: the rule?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Like li'sten to catcher moves, the catcher moves a certain way,
- 7:43Speaker 2: are they not allowed to.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Give a little whistle?
- 7:47Speaker 1: They are?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Nope, But there was some there was some discrepancy on that. Hey,
- 7:54Speaker 2: coaches can't relay things. Oh wait, coaches can relay things,
- 7:59Speaker 2: but now the coaches stay in the box. You can't
- 8:01Speaker 2: get anything from the dugout. And then judge did this one?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Who was he looking at?
- 8:10Speaker 1: You can do whatever you can have.
- 8:11Speaker 2: That's been going on forever, Okay, I just can't have tech. Yes, yes, okay,
- 8:15Speaker 2: but it always was stopped because you tried to do
- 8:18Speaker 2: it to where nobody would notice what you were doing.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Because when you would get noticed, that was when people
- 8:22Speaker 2: would have issues and say words to you, and then
- 8:25Speaker 2: people would start getting beamed. Right now, guys do whatever
- 8:30Speaker 2: they want, and nobody throws at anybody. Not that I'm
- 8:32Speaker 2: condoning throwing anybody, but that's how grown man handle what
- 8:36Speaker 2: was happening in baseball. You would give us. I'd be catching,
- 8:39Speaker 2: I'd see a guy do something different, I'd walk out
- 8:42Speaker 2: to the mound. I'd act like I was picking up
- 8:44Speaker 2: the rosin bag, and I'd say, hey, listen, if you
- 8:47Speaker 2: do it again, we're gonna hit that guy. And then
- 8:51Speaker 2: if you don't, if you do it after that, we're
- 8:52Speaker 2: just gonna start hitting you every time. Maybe every guy.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, I'm not doing anything, But there
- 8:59Speaker 2: was obvious stuff that happened that you would catch, or
- 9:01Speaker 2: somebody in the bench would catch, or you'd catch a coach,
- 9:04Speaker 2: because there was many times I was catching I'm giving signs.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I'm looking at that guy first base coach the whole
- 9:09Speaker 2: time until I mean, i'd give my set up, i'd
- 9:12Speaker 2: give my cut target, and I wouldn't even look at
- 9:14Speaker 2: the picture. My whole eyes were on that guy. Or
- 9:16Speaker 2: if we had a thought it was a third base coach,
- 9:18Speaker 2: I'd be like this to see if they move, if
- 9:22Speaker 2: they do anything, all that stuff. You look at the hitter.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Is he peeking while I've given the signs? Is he
- 9:27Speaker 2: looking down at my signs? And you catch a guy
- 9:30Speaker 2: and be like, hey, stop that peaking and you get
- 9:32Speaker 2: yourself hurt. Hey tell your first base coach. I'd run
- 9:36Speaker 2: down the backup first, Hey man, stop that, you're gonna
- 9:39Speaker 2: get someone hit.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And now you're just press a button.
- 9:41Speaker 2: So but maybe they were getting off the buttons. That's
- 9:43Speaker 2: why they all cover their I don't sure. Again, I
- 9:45Speaker 2: don't know what they were getting, but it used to
- 9:47Speaker 2: be handled different and now it's just like, okay, well
- 9:49Speaker 2: they got our signs.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So we'll just go This might sound ridiculous, but like
- 9:53Speaker 1: if you're pressing a button, I.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Mean, but no, they say like the like if you
- 9:57Speaker 2: talk to a catcher, they'll put their glove and you
- 9:59Speaker 2: can And they could say like if you move your
- 10:02Speaker 2: pinky fingers, you move this finger if you move it,
- 10:04Speaker 2: that's why they all cover it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Maybe they're like, oh, we can see his forearm goes
- 10:10Speaker 1: a little bit more.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You know this way, you think that's crazy. Sidney Pont's
- 10:15Speaker 2: on right. Remember the picture. He used to wear short
- 10:17Speaker 2: sleeves and when he would he would stand like this,
- 10:21Speaker 2: and when he would throw certain pitches you could see
- 10:23Speaker 2: his forearm muscle move only on like I think it
- 10:25Speaker 2: was his curveball. But if he stayed still, was a fastball.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So you were like, you weren't even you were just like,
- 10:29Speaker 2: oh he moved. He was like this right, he was like, oh,
- 10:32Speaker 2: you can see his forearm moving, that's a curveball. And
- 10:35Speaker 2: if it stayed still, it was a fastball. Like people
- 10:37Speaker 2: see all this stuff. It's crazy. And now they have
- 10:40Speaker 2: cameras on everybody and they have all the AI stuff.
- 10:42Speaker 2: They can figure that the smallest little.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Thing that's a big part of this now.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Cow Catcher's set up. I doubt they're getting it off
- 10:51Speaker 2: the button. I have a hard time believing they're getting
- 10:53Speaker 2: it off which button they're pressing. But how catcher sets up.
- 10:56Speaker 2: If he goes right left, if he's on two feet
- 10:59Speaker 2: to give this sign, or if he's on a knee
- 11:01Speaker 2: to give the sign, and then he goes down on
- 11:04Speaker 2: his right leg, you know they're they're running in. They're
- 11:07Speaker 2: running in three different catchers. So maybe whoever they had
- 11:09Speaker 2: in I was trying to look it up who they
- 11:10Speaker 2: had in last night. Maybe they had something on that
- 11:13Speaker 2: catcher that they didn't have on other catchers before. Because
- 11:16Speaker 2: they're running in Pages and Pozzo and Herrera's catching some too.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So that's why now you get with a show like this,
- 11:29Speaker 1: you'd think, oh, they're going to talk about the gesture
- 11:32Speaker 1: and have fun with it. Sure, that's part of it,
- 11:36Speaker 1: But the deeper layer is why did this guy do this?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Why does Abnery or Rebay go up there? And whether
- 11:43Speaker 1: you believe one side or the other, or it's a
- 11:45Speaker 1: mix of both, that's why this happened. He didn't just
- 11:48Speaker 1: hop up there and say.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Could I just say this? It wasn't yesterday that started this.
- 11:54Speaker 2: It was two nights ago. Okay, it was Liberator. So
- 11:58Speaker 2: the tour gave up a three run home. We're in
- 12:00Speaker 2: the first okay, yep. He went five innings and punched
- 12:03Speaker 2: out ten. But after the first inning that was when
- 12:08Speaker 2: all he said something. So he said, hey, you're going
- 12:11Speaker 2: to get someone hurt. And after that and then he
- 12:14Speaker 2: went and punched out ten and four innings. Evidence is there.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I don't know the game. Inside the game, I don't know.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Again, I didn't ask. He didn't tell me, and even
- 12:27Speaker 2: if he did, I wouldn't tell you all anyways. But
- 12:32Speaker 2: all I'm saying is he gave up three in the first.
- 12:34Speaker 2: He said, Liberatory one hundred percent. Who was catching that
- 12:37Speaker 2: day pies? He said something he didn't say. He said,
- 12:41Speaker 2: he said, we said you're going to get someone hurt.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And John Jay and Descals were the ones yelling, so
- 12:47Speaker 2: make sure you guys hit them next time in Milwaukee.
- 12:49Speaker 2: They were the ones that were causing all the problems
- 12:52Speaker 2: with especially John Jay's big ass. I'm just kidding. I
- 12:59Speaker 2: love those guys, but they changed something. I don't know
- 13:04Speaker 2: he said they he said we changed something and then Liberatory.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That's why I said liberatory. He went out and punched
- 13:08Speaker 2: out ten and for the next four innings.
- 13:10Speaker 1: So Avenue Rebay was waiting for Amne Rebay waited a
- 13:12Speaker 1: whole day, Yeah.
- 13:14Speaker 2: To get in and then do a d X imprestonation
- 13:17Speaker 2: and get a.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Close pitch and abs it and then.
- 13:20Speaker 2: And then do it. The best is the hitters reaction.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I forget who was hitting. He's like, it was it
- 13:25Speaker 2: was burs Yeah, it strikes out. Yeah, yeah, whoever was
- 13:31Speaker 2: I it was Burlos but he strikes out, and then
- 13:32Speaker 2: Reba is doing the thing. He's like, he's like looking around,
- 13:35Speaker 2: like what.
- 13:35Speaker 1: What just happened?
- 13:37Speaker 4: Yeah, because it wasn't like a one second pump.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It was a it was a full skit. Yeah, it
- 13:42Speaker 1: was a full show. It was a complete tryout for
- 13:46Speaker 1: w w E. So you gotta have a little fun
- 13:49Speaker 1: with what happened. I mean, nobody got hurt and he
- 13:52Speaker 1: did a gesture and then manager Patman.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I respect that I got murphering because it wasn't it
- 13:57Speaker 2: was six nothing like Murph said, and Murphy trying to
- 14:00Speaker 2: cover for like Murph, this is why players love Murf
- 14:03Speaker 2: because Murphy was like, okay, didn't we don't play like that? Sure,
- 14:05Speaker 2: Murf had already talked to him, and he apologized to
- 14:07Speaker 2: his team. And listen, his teammates are probably like, I
- 14:09Speaker 2: don't give a crap, like right crafts like his teammates
- 14:13Speaker 2: are like, I don't care, and I mean I listen.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I hope, I hope that it doesn't turn into anything
- 14:19Speaker 2: today because these teams are fighting for the Central and
- 14:22Speaker 2: this and how. But Milwaukee's won the first two games
- 14:24Speaker 2: and they got a chance. Here the distance between them
- 14:28Speaker 2: because the Cubs can't win a game.
- 14:30Speaker 1: No, Cubs can't win a game. Oh my gosh, I
- 14:33Speaker 1: don't know.
- 14:33Speaker 2: They not win, they don't, They're not even in These.

- 15:43Speaker 1: These teams are going to play each other a bunch,
- 15:46Speaker 1: So now you've got a little thing between the Cardinals
- 15:48Speaker 1: and the Brewers. It wasn't just a tryout, It wasn't
- 15:50Speaker 1: just a WWE audition for Avenue or eBay. There was
- 15:53Speaker 1: real intent behind his action. But yes, the Cobs also
- 15:58Speaker 1: have lost ten in a row. They had a twenty
- 16:02Speaker 1: and three stretch like two weeks ago that that ended,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then they.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Like the second tame to have two ten game winning
- 16:08Speaker 2: streaks on a ten game losing streak.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And we're about a little over whill they were thirty percent. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 1: about thirty percent into the season.
- 16:17Speaker 2: He got freaking they got bullets last night.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Anyways, Oh my gosh, that underrated part again, as we're
- 16:23Speaker 1: talking about the whole division here, underrated part of the Pirates.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Their offense has been good, it's been really good. It's
- 16:28Speaker 1: like top six or seven and runs scored. Their pitching
- 16:32Speaker 1: hasn't been great, especially their bullpens the problem. But it's
- 16:35Speaker 1: funny you look and they haven't had offense for years.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Now they have some offense, right, I mean, they signed
- 16:40Speaker 1: some guys. I know Hearn's hurt right now, but a
- 16:43Speaker 1: Zoom has been a mess. They're probably gonna cut him soon.
- 16:45Speaker 1: But kind of Griffin's finding his stride like they can,
- 16:48Speaker 1: they can hit.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Neil Cruise is doing all right.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Neil Cruise is good.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Bryan Reynolds is doing his thing. Henry Davis and combo,
- 16:56Speaker 2: Henry Davis and Joey Barter are doing there what they've
- 16:58Speaker 2: been doing.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Yep, that's worked out well. But everyone's chasing the Brewers
- 17:01Speaker 1: as usual. And Kyle Harrison's a cy young contender. I mean,
- 17:04Speaker 1: he's got a one, five, seven and ten starts lowest
- 17:06Speaker 1: dra in a pitcher's first ten starts with the Brewers,
- 17:10Speaker 1: surpassing two thousand and eight C. C. Sabbathia.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Kyle Harrison's not getting enough attention.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Him and him and Miz might be the best one
- 17:17Speaker 2: to two in baseball right now.
- 17:18Speaker 1: That's why Harrison's getting no attention because ms is there
- 17:21Speaker 1: chucking one o five pieces and he's just like, I've
- 17:24Speaker 1: got a one and a half era.
- 17:26Speaker 2: As a one to eight. Yeah, and by the way, yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 2: they definitely do it differently. Harrison's a spinny guy and
- 17:35Speaker 2: mis just throws one hundred.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And five that you ever die with a great slider.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah. By the way, I'm proud of my Cardinal people
- 17:42Speaker 2: for not getting mad, because as someone that once did
- 17:44Speaker 2: the sucket or is alleged of doing the sucket chop
- 17:48Speaker 2: as a member of the Cardinals, I respect them for
- 17:50Speaker 2: not getting that mad. But I see why they would
- 17:52Speaker 2: have got. Man, if you haven't seen the video, google
- 17:55Speaker 2: twenty fourteen playoffs, Matt Adam Tomer.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You did a little thing.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Well, Madam Adams looked at the dugout and I was
- 18:01Speaker 2: not on the roster, and he went, yeah, and then
- 18:03Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, and everyone thought I was saying
- 18:05Speaker 2: sucking to Kershaw, which I wasn't, but which.
- 18:09Speaker 4: You were acknowledging Adams. Yes, yeah, that happens all.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Because I was the cheerleader guy in that serious.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Right lost in translation. Happens all the time.
- 18:18Speaker 2: All the time.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Guys think that they're coming at him, and this.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Kershaw never Kershaw knew Kershaw and I've talked about.
- 18:25Speaker 1: He never write other people trying other people always.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Try to stir the pot, and he knew no he
- 18:31Speaker 2: was in this case. Admirve was looking at the dugout,
- 18:36Speaker 2: even said it after the game, even said it up.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I mean he said it, which I give credit for.
- 18:41Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, they said they're going to hit yell
- 18:43Speaker 2: at and controllers, so I told him to suck it.
- 18:47Speaker 4: That's actually what we want here, though.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You know when we say this kind of thing happens
- 18:51Speaker 1: and that's barely even a blip on the NBA's radar.
- 18:55Speaker 1: That is where you just want to know what happened,
- 18:57Speaker 1: all right, this this, these two teams have a little
- 18:59Speaker 1: bit of beef. This guy got pissed. He didn't action
- 19:01Speaker 1: that his manager didn't like that. But then he explains
- 19:04Speaker 1: himself afterward. To me, that's the full picture right there.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I mean last night Wenby Wemby went out, when it
- 19:10Speaker 2: was a blowout, Wemby went out, and the next two
- 19:13Speaker 2: plays they absolutely crushed the one dude I should remember
- 19:18Speaker 2: the guy's name, but like two dirty fouls, and they
- 19:22Speaker 2: caught Wemby like whispering in one of the dude's ears
- 19:25Speaker 2: that came in for him. And then just next play
- 19:28Speaker 2: down shoulders, I mean just elbow right to the back.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Dude got taken out. Then he drove the lane got
- 19:34Speaker 2: taken out. Other sports do it. I would never I
- 19:37Speaker 2: would never say what admir Ribe did was good because
- 19:41Speaker 2: I'm a high school coach and too much of this
- 19:43Speaker 2: happens in high school and I can't stand it. But
- 19:45Speaker 2: I love how I love how everybody handled it. I
- 19:48Speaker 2: don't think, you know, we'll see if it trickles over
- 19:51Speaker 2: to today, but I love how Murph handled it. I
- 19:54Speaker 2: love how the Cardinals didn't freak out.
- 19:58Speaker 3: All good.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Hot corner time. We've avoided talking about the Mets for
- 20:05Speaker 1: several days since this is a national show and we
- 20:08Speaker 1: cover other teams. But they've lost seven of eight. They're
- 20:11Speaker 1: at their little watermark. They look terrible. Chase Burns, who's
- 20:15Speaker 1: been dominant against everyone, shut him down. David Peterson was
- 20:19Speaker 1: booed off the field, which stinks. He's a good dude,
- 20:21Speaker 1: but he's just right now. Yeah, they might have Sean
- 20:26Speaker 1: and Iah replace him, who also just kind of hasn't
- 20:29Speaker 1: been able to find it. So another clunker there. But
- 20:32Speaker 1: the injury bug is still very strong here. So team
- 20:35Speaker 1: starts off slow, then guys start going down, but we
- 20:38Speaker 1: also factor in that they might have miscalculated with their moves.
- 20:42Speaker 1: It's not just let's replace this guy with this guy.
- 20:46Speaker 1: We like the run prevention or the production of this
- 20:48Speaker 1: player or the better clubhouse fit. It's wait, this dude's
- 20:52Speaker 1: hurt all the time, and that's Luise Robert. We're not
- 20:54Speaker 1: picking on him. This is news transferred to the sixty
- 20:57Speaker 1: day il, which means at least another month. Anthony dia
- 21:00Speaker 1: Como was also writing about how he's not even doing
- 21:02Speaker 1: anything right now, Like I don't mean that in a
- 21:04Speaker 1: way like he's lazy. It's just he's not even like
- 21:06Speaker 1: cleared to do anything. So he is far away from
- 21:09Speaker 1: return for the Mets. And I was one in the
- 21:14Speaker 1: off season that looked to try and believe that a
- 21:18Speaker 1: change of scenery would help him stay in the field.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It's not. I mean the Mets they have done you know, one, two,
- 21:25Speaker 1: skip a few. When he was playing for the first
- 21:28Speaker 1: month of the season, we posted a report from Steve
- 21:31Speaker 1: Gelbs's sideline reporter. He does a great job about how
- 21:33Speaker 1: they were going to do all these crafty things to
- 21:35Speaker 1: keep him healthy. It just it doesn't work. There's some
- 21:38Speaker 1: guys where just he can't stand in the field. Yeah,
- 21:41Speaker 1: he just can't. So he's gonna miss half the year
- 21:43Speaker 1: at least here. Yeah already. Yeah, it's a big loss
- 21:48Speaker 1: because you're expecting maybe not to play the full year.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But remember for like that first week he was doing
- 21:54Speaker 2: so well and then he then he also went listen
- 21:59Speaker 2: not I used to really like Louise Robert. I'm the
- 22:02Speaker 2: wrong person after he made the comments about White Sox fans,
- 22:04Speaker 2: I'm the wrong person to ask about him, because honestly,
- 22:08Speaker 2: that that's something that you can never for me, at least,
- 22:11Speaker 2: you just you just can't take. You can take shots
- 22:13Speaker 2: at organizations if they feel like they treated you poorly,
- 22:17Speaker 2: but to take shots of fans, especially if a home
- 22:20Speaker 2: team to pay their good harder money to come out
- 22:21Speaker 2: and watch you play is just not the right answer
- 22:24Speaker 2: for me.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And his old teams better than his current team period.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They're better than them right now, Like watch the full
- 22:30Speaker 1: season of one and the other. They're better.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I mean, I always thought he could
- 22:34Speaker 2: had the chance to be a special, special player, but
- 22:36Speaker 2: he could never stay healthy. At one year where he
- 22:38Speaker 2: stayed healthy and he was really good. Other than that,
- 22:41Speaker 2: it's been.
- 22:43Speaker 1: We're gonna be talking about him for sellers. There are
- 22:48Speaker 1: most teams right now in late May that you look
- 22:50Speaker 1: at and say, I can't rule them out. It's the
- 22:53Speaker 1: case is getting tough here.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Pretty quick time in an organization run by David st.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yarns that doesn't want to light money on fire with
- 23:03Speaker 2: pictures that are injury prone. It shocked me that they
- 23:08Speaker 2: went after a twenty million dollar Luis Robert shocked me.
- 23:15Speaker 1: They wanted to completely remodel what they had based on
- 23:18Speaker 1: the collapse last year. And they're eight games away from
- 23:20Speaker 1: a wild card spot with a million teams in between them.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So we'll get back to other hot corner topics. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: they're they're toast. So they're going to be the talk
- 23:30Speaker 1: of the next couple of months among a few other
- 23:32Speaker 1: teams because they.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Have assets to sell, so we'll get to that.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Not a ton, but they have a few assets, including
- 23:37Speaker 1: Freddy Peralta, who I think is going to be very
- 23:39Speaker 1: talk to Freddy. Freddy's a playoff pitcher. I mean, that's
- 23:42Speaker 1: going to be a big top of conversation. So we'll
- 23:45Speaker 1: get to all of that.
- 23:46Speaker 2: If they trade him after what they traded together.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I know, but they are not try to recoup it.
- 23:51Speaker 1: They are not showing much interest in and extension. So
- 23:54Speaker 1: that's what's going to happen here. Hey, this is the
- 23:59Speaker 1: macwell in line that resonates with me, the go to

- 24:54Speaker 1: L d o N dot com code f o U L.
- 24:57Speaker 1: We're gonna skip the Cubs because we talked about them
- 25:00Speaker 1: earlier in the show and that they've lost a lot
- 25:03Speaker 1: in a row. But let's start with the Midwest story.
- 25:06Speaker 2: No, it's talk cos I love talking combs. Are we
- 25:08Speaker 2: on Marquee?
- 25:09Speaker 4: We are on marque White Sox lost last night here.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah, but they have they have, They have close to
- 25:13Speaker 2: the same record and all it's all I know is
- 25:16Speaker 2: the White Sox lady, she cursed them, the White Sox bride.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Keep bringing that up. Yeah, they have.
- 25:21Speaker 2: In one sense, they've lost ten.
- 25:24Speaker 3: And does she it's online.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not good.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm not want to say that exactly.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You can find it. It's been printed out there and
- 25:30Speaker 2: it's not I don't like that.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Can I bring up a good old because I was
- 25:34Speaker 1: gonna wait for this, but Midwest story here it's it's
- 25:37Speaker 1: not with these two teams, but in Cleveland. Do you
- 25:40Speaker 1: like when the football players invest in the baseball teams?
- 25:43Speaker 2: Baseball players never really get to invest in the football teams.
- 25:48Speaker 1: That's a good question, seems I.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Could s the other way around. Baseball player. Well, when
- 25:53Speaker 2: you talk to every other sports, like baseball players make
- 25:56Speaker 2: so much money, but it's always the football players and
- 25:58Speaker 2: the basketball players investing in the baseball teams.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Here's my theory. It's not just a money thing. The
- 26:04Speaker 1: reason that people like that get involved is the ownership
- 26:08Speaker 1: groups want them in for their cachet, right, So so I.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Think Bobby Witt might have got in a little bit
- 26:12Speaker 2: in the Chiefs. Maybe I thought Bobby was the one
- 26:14Speaker 2: guy that I think I remember. That sounds right, But
- 26:17Speaker 2: other than that, it's you never really I mean a
- 26:19Speaker 2: Rod obviously bought held by the Timberwolves.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Sure, but the football owners are probably, yeah, we're good,
- 26:25Speaker 1: we don't need you. Yeah, I know for baseball, I
- 26:27Speaker 1: like that baseball does this where they say, you know,
- 26:32Speaker 1: who's been tied to Dodgers forever.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Malmes is in on the Royals.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Homes at the Royals. Now it's Travis kelce with the
- 26:38Speaker 1: Cleveland Guardians. But Matrick Johnson in his connection with the
- 26:41Speaker 1: Dodgers has been cool.
- 26:42Speaker 2: He's part of the Googenheim, that whole group.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Sure, but it's been cool to have him as one
- 26:46Speaker 1: of the faces.
- 26:47Speaker 2: And you know, celebrities, Lebron has some with the Red
- 26:50Speaker 2: Sox doesn't because he's part of Fenway.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I think.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So there's less private equity in other sports too. Evan
- 26:56Speaker 2: Drell put out a good article talking about private equity
- 26:59Speaker 2: and baseball's anyway, it's a whole another topic, but that's
- 27:03Speaker 2: part of it too. And it's like, oh, man, Juan
- 27:07Speaker 2: Soto wants to buy part of the like the Giants.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Would that sell more tickets for the Giants? Would that
- 27:14Speaker 2: create intrigue? Like Travis kelcey, sure, come on, come on
- 27:20Speaker 2: a board. You can buy some Guardians stuff. Even though
- 27:23Speaker 2: you don't even talk about your college Cincinnati anymore.
- 27:26Speaker 3: You just talk about all the other things.
- 27:29Speaker 1: And these are cream of the crop a list celebrities
- 27:32Speaker 1: that we're bringing up here too. I mean, we just
- 27:34Speaker 1: mentioned Mahomes and Kelsey, two of the best football players
- 27:37Speaker 1: of our generation. They also are like celebrities, I mean,
- 27:40Speaker 1: especially Travis obviously for Taylor Swift to show all of that,
- 27:44Speaker 1: so you'd have to be able to match that.
- 27:47Speaker 3: To have in showy show. He wants to buy some
- 27:50Speaker 3: of the for sure, the Seahawks.
- 27:52Speaker 2: He wants to buy some of the Seahawks, but any team, well,
- 27:57Speaker 2: I think they're going to be for sale right somewhere
- 27:59Speaker 2: in the Seahawks, not too just in future, so maybe
- 28:02Speaker 2: he will.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So A couple people asked me about this yesterday. They
- 28:07Speaker 1: were like, oh, you guys are gonna do a segment
- 28:08Speaker 1: on Wander Franco. I mean, I almost forgot about him.
- 28:11Speaker 2: I don't even care to be I mean, I want
- 28:13Speaker 2: to lay it out. I saw the news and I'm like,
- 28:15Speaker 2: I know we need to mention it, but I'm just like,
- 28:18Speaker 2: is it really well.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I went back and forth with our group yesterday just saying, hey,
- 28:22Speaker 1: we've actually done like ten segments on him this show.
- 28:24Speaker 1: We'll talk about whatever. Just we don't have much to say.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I mean, besides, he's a criminal. He's been he's been
- 28:30Speaker 1: convicted of stuff. Now he's guilty of sexual and psychological
- 28:33Speaker 1: abuse of a fourteen year old of a minor, no
- 28:35Speaker 1: prison time. I'm not going to get into how all
- 28:38Speaker 1: that works out there. I don't understand it honestly. Right
- 28:41Speaker 1: he gets a judicial pardon because he was both a
- 28:43Speaker 1: defendant and a victim of extortion. The victim's mother is
- 28:47Speaker 1: getting sentenced to I think it's ten years of prison.
- 28:50Speaker 1: So the whole thing's an absolute disaster. It's it's awful.
- 28:54Speaker 1: The whole thing is awful for us to comment, he's
- 28:59Speaker 1: for me, I mean, now, convicted monster, I think, mentally unstable,
- 29:04Speaker 1: not going to come back in baseball. So it's not
- 29:06Speaker 1: relevant for the baseball conversation anymore. And the only thing
- 29:09Speaker 1: that is relevant for news is now MLB finally can
- 29:12Speaker 1: do their own investigation now that the criminal part has
- 29:15Speaker 1: been done. The longest ever suspension was three twenty four
- 29:17Speaker 1: games for Bauer with all the issues he had, later
- 29:21Speaker 1: reduced to one ninety four. But anyway, add it all up,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I don't know how baseball is going to handle this,
- 29:26Speaker 1: But regardless, I don't think it's going to be a
- 29:27Speaker 1: problem because they're not going to let him back in
- 29:29Speaker 1: the country. I'm pretty confident in that I'm not a lawyer,
- 29:32Speaker 1: I'm not a whatever.
- 29:34Speaker 2: If he's not suspended, does this contract kick in again
- 29:37Speaker 2: and the rules have to start paying it.
- 29:39Speaker 1: No, he's on the restricted list, so he's only in
- 29:41Speaker 1: the middle of a five year of an eleven year
- 29:43Speaker 1: one eighty two, he's only a year five. But he
- 29:46Speaker 1: has to be back in the country. If he can't
- 29:48Speaker 1: get here, then it's on him. So he stays on
- 29:50Speaker 1: the restricted list.
- 29:51Speaker 2: If he gets me he only goes when they play Toronto,
- 29:54Speaker 2: only goes to Canada.
- 29:55Speaker 1: That's sack.
- 29:56Speaker 2: It's funny for those six games a year.
- 29:58Speaker 1: His lawyer is going to try everything. But man as
- 30:00Speaker 1: a superstar. Now he's a criminal, and I just don't
- 30:02Speaker 1: think he's going to be allowed back. So it's not
- 30:03Speaker 1: gonna be relevant. So we're not hiding a thing. We're
- 30:06Speaker 1: going right into it. But it's it's a crappy story.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Terrible story. Doesn't make me feel good talking about it.
- 30:15Speaker 1: So he gone exactly and hey, could we be wrong?
- 30:20Speaker 1: Could there be some legal battles? Could he try and
- 30:21Speaker 1: get himself back.
- 30:24Speaker 2: In If he's convicted of the things that he was
- 30:27Speaker 2: allegedly convicted of.
- 30:29Speaker 1: They don't let you back in he's usually the US.
- 30:32Speaker 4: They're not letting him back in. I'm telling you.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Them because they the Rays really thought he was going
- 30:39Speaker 2: to be their cornerstone player for.
- 30:41Speaker 1: The next They he'll get like a long suspension, but
- 30:45Speaker 1: either way he won't be allowed back in, so he's
- 30:46Speaker 1: he's not playing anymore. Yeah, a couple of things on
- 31:02Speaker 1: the way out. First of all, I feel for kek
- 31:04Speaker 1: Hernandez back for one game. He actually heard it the
- 31:07Speaker 1: day before and he was said he was embarrassed about
- 31:09Speaker 1: it coming off a gruesome injury last year, So he
- 31:13Speaker 1: hits the shelf.
