Transcript
- 0:03Jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:06and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:11Then, everything changed when the shop's
- 0:14popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr. Okuron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:20master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:23orphans to learn his trade and and staff his
- 0:25shop. A year has passed since the orphans were
- 0:28hired, and although their skills have progressed, they
- 0:31still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the
- 0:37Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the
- 0:39world. Last time on
- 0:42Benders and Brews an Avatar Legends
- 0:44Podcast this is not the.
- 0:47Last you will hear of Madame Yang.
- 0:49Mr. Oak.
- 0:50Run.
- 0:50How much did you owe them?
- 0:52I think it was about a thousand yuan.
- 0:55Okay, we're still short. We have a second option.
- 0:57Uh, what's that?
- 0:59We just beat them up
- 1:02by tomorrow when a gang
- 1:05shows, uh, up. Well, I'll beat them up too.
- 1:08I have heard reports from other businesses in
- 1:11the area saying that they, too, were harassed
- 1:14by this gang.
- 1:15We could go around to the other shops that have been
- 1:18harassed and build a little army before tomorrow
- 1:21and stand a better chance.
- 1:22Hey, maybe if, uh, the whole town
- 1:25is standing up against these bullies, maybe they'll, um, stop
- 1:28without even having to initiate any violence. As
- 1:31much as I regret not being able
- 1:34to help Mr. Oak Ron after I kind of
- 1:37betrayed him, I have to say
- 1:41I feel bad about it, but there's nothing I could do.
- 1:44But you do go out and you speak with some of the
- 1:47business owners, and they are fed up
- 1:50with the situation. They're sick of it.
- 1:52And a pretty decent handful of them
- 1:55agree that, hey, if we stand
- 1:58up to these guys once and for all.
- 2:02We can shut them down.
- 2:03You were able to amass a pretty decent group. And sure
- 2:06enough, noon comes around and a
- 2:09group of four angry looking, rough
- 2:12looking teenagers, and the four of them come up
- 2:15and they see this entire group of people that are standing
- 2:18in front of them. And the leader, the
- 2:21rockabilly guy, he comes stepping forward and he goes,
- 2:23what's all this about? We're here to pick
- 2:26up our M money, old man.
- 2:28Well, you could say you
- 2:31brewed up something stronger than you
- 2:34expected.
- 2:36That's a good one.
- 2:37That is a good one.
- 2:38What's that supposed to mean?
- 2:41Means we're not going to take
- 2:44it anymore.
- 2:46All the people in your group, they like, take a really
- 2:48intimidating step forward, and they stomp their ground
- 2:51hard.
- 2:52Nah.
- 2:58Welcome back to the big finale
- 3:00episode of Benders and Brews.
- 3:03Welcome back, everybody. It's our big finale.
- 3:06Season one. Season One finale episode of
- 3:09Benders and Brews episode Twelve uh,
- 3:12crazy stuff is going to happen. Crazy stuff
- 3:14has happened that's led up until this point, and we are super
- 3:17excited to be back. Uh, sitting down for this big
- 3:20finale. Uh, just a quick emphasis. Uh, the
- 3:23next four episodes that will be coming out will all be prequel
- 3:26episodes. I really want to, uh, rail that into
- 3:28everybody's head because I don't want anybody
- 3:31to listen and be like,
- 3:34what's going on? I don't understand this. Doesn't follow the story at all.
- 3:36No.
- 3:37We're doing, like, throwbacks for each
- 3:39character. So I'm going to be doing like a sit
- 3:42down session with each one of the characters here, or players.
- 3:45And they're going to do kind of a backstory
- 3:47episode. It's a mix between a scripted and played
- 3:50through episode of, uh, how their character got
- 3:53to where they are, to the blissful brew, to meeting
- 3:56Mr. Okaran where did they come from, things
- 3:59along those lines. Okay, so it's going to be really fun. We got
- 4:02voice actors, uh, independent voice actors
- 4:05from, um, Casting Call Club
- 4:08and some other sources as well, online. So it's just going
- 4:11to be a lot of fun. It's going to be really exciting. It's going to be very
- 4:14emotional, uh, from what I've
- 4:17written and done so far. Uh, so
- 4:19it's a lot something to look forward to. So
- 4:22just again, it's prequel episodes.
- 4:25And then we will jump back into the current story once all
- 4:28of those are done. Uh, other than
- 4:31that, let's jump right into our question. So the question for today, and we're
- 4:34taking a book or a page from the Dungeons and Daddies, if
- 4:37you've ever listened to their podcast, phenomenal
- 4:40Dungeons and Dragons real Play podcast, I highly recommend
- 4:43it. Uh, we're taking a page out of their book today, uh,
- 4:45as recommended by one of our amazing community members
- 4:48over on the Discord Channel, which you can totally join.
- 4:52Uh, just tell me something
- 4:55about your character that
- 4:58you feel isn't something that necessarily would come up
- 5:01in the story or the show
- 5:04or whatever else, um, kind of
- 5:06naturally. So just like something interesting about them
- 5:09that we might not otherwise learn.
- 5:12So who wants to start? Connor, do you feel confident?
- 5:15You kind of look a little maybe not maybe not as
- 5:18confident.
- 5:18Hold on. I don't know.
- 5:19I mean, I can certainly
- 5:22try to set the tone with, I guess.
- 5:25Okay, go for it.
- 5:26All right.
- 5:26Little known fact about Broccoli, he only showers
- 5:29once a week.
- 5:31Oh, we know.
- 5:33That is something that definitely might come up.
- 5:36But as of now, it's going to come up. Now that you've mentioned it,
- 5:38that's for sure.
- 5:40We all just thought it was the dishwater, right?
- 5:42I mean, the dishwater washes him like,
- 5:4590% of the way anyway.
- 5:49He does one, uh, water based shower.
- 5:52The rest is dirt baths. When Mika turns around while
- 5:55he's washing, he'll get his pits. He'll go a little bit
- 5:58lower on his body. And they're trying to get and then she's back.
- 6:01So he's back to it. Now, out of curiosity,
- 6:03would Mika notice that there's always one
- 6:06day in the week that brock smells pretty
- 6:09good today.
- 6:10I don't know if she necessarily notices it's Brock, but the room
- 6:13definitely smells.
- 6:15Like something different today's. M a good day
- 6:18once a week. Mika's having a really good day.
- 6:21There's less flies in here today.
- 6:23Yeah, exactly. Okay.
- 6:25Uh, maybe he washes on Sundays or something.
- 6:28By Saturday, it's like, oh, it's, uh, end of the week
- 6:31really bad.
- 6:32Yeah.
- 6:32I'm just ready for the week to be over or whatever.
- 6:34It'd be funny if you guys had, like, the weekends off. So you never
- 6:37actually experienced Brock having a shower because you're out
- 6:40doing your stuff. He's out doing his stuff. That's
- 6:43funny. Or hold on. Is it a
- 6:45technicality thing here? Because you said Brock showers once a week. Does
- 6:48he bathe the other six days of the week?
- 6:51No. Whatever dishwater gets on him, that's
- 6:54just what he uses.
- 6:55All right.
- 6:55Throughout, uh, the week.
- 6:57Like I said, this is the beauty of these, like, little facts,
- 7:00is that, uh, now this will probably come up later. And I'm
- 7:03excited for that.
- 7:03I'm ready for that to come up.
- 7:05Let's hope we never travel. Probably
- 7:08be less than once a week.
- 7:10Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's true.
- 7:11Then you'll just be like, oh, Brock just smells like Brock.
- 7:14That, Brock.
- 7:15Smell natural.
- 7:16Must.
- 7:18All right. Uh, Dave with GuoHan.
- 7:21Tell us something interesting about GuoHan.
- 7:23Um, GuoHan,
- 7:26he'll be, uh, walking down the street, and he'll see
- 7:28an interesting looking rock, and he'll
- 7:32collect it. Has a little rock.
- 7:35Right.
- 7:35All right.
- 7:36They're his friends.
- 7:37Yeah. And he does talk to them sometimes.
- 7:43All right.
- 7:43Well, perfect. I feel like that's kind of been referenced,
- 7:46too. Hasn't he pulled out, like, a little pouch at some
- 7:49point or maybe that's in the prequel, actually.
- 7:52Um, yeah, he's got
- 7:55multiple pouches, though.
- 7:56Okay.
- 7:57With different things. Not just rocks and pellets.
- 8:00Look at this stuff.
- 8:01Okay, cool.
- 8:01Oh, can't say that.
- 8:02Yeah, that's just, you know,
- 8:05just telling them to look at this.
- 8:06I think she's allowed to go that.
- 8:10Saying, look at this stuff. Look at this stuff.
- 8:14Cameron with, uh, Bill. Dore tell me
- 8:16something interesting about Bill door.
- 8:18So I figured this probably would
- 8:21never come up because, uh, I don't know why it would come up,
- 8:24but in your questionnaire, when we were making our.
- 8:27Characters and stuff, you gave us a bunch of questions.
- 8:28And one question was, uh, was your character doing their
- 8:31quiet time?
- 8:32Oh, yeah.
- 8:33And I, for some reason, wrote, like, a full page
- 8:36on just that Bill really likes to
- 8:39yeah, yeah. Loves painting and
- 8:42is super into it. But he does not paint around other
- 8:44people because he's super self conscious. So he sneaks
- 8:47off into the woods, finds some water, finds some nice,
- 8:50peaceful stuff, and just paints.
- 8:52We did talk about what's their favorite pastime
- 8:55and you did mention that they mentioned heart plane.
- 8:58Okay.
- 8:59Painting.
- 9:00I don't know.
- 9:00That's just but no, that's ever come up.
- 9:03Plays a heart. And he paints.
- 9:05Yeah, but he doesn't do it on anyone because he's
- 9:08super self conscious about it.
- 9:09Sure.
- 9:09Where does he store his painting?
- 9:12Probably at this secret spot he paints.
- 9:14At, uh, tree trunk.
- 9:15Wow.
- 9:15He's just like somewhere out there in the woods. Someone's going to he's like
- 9:18a Bob Ross. This collection
- 9:21of paintings that Bill's been finding.
- 9:23I'm going to live this life of I'm the painter.
- 9:29Painting on the back of tree bark.
- 9:31Bill's going to table.
- 9:34Bill's taking a turn. He's actually just a wild animal
- 9:37running around painting on walls and stuff.
- 9:39Bill's going to be walking down, like, the market district, and he's going to
- 9:42pass by this art stall and he's going to see
- 9:45very familiar paintings. And he's going to say, wait
- 9:48a minute.
- 9:48To be fair, he doesn't landscape, too.
- 9:51Yeah.
- 9:51So like, if someone painted a landscape that he
- 9:54also looked at, I mean, he could be like, oh, dang, they found
- 9:57my.
- 9:59Painting, but that's my spot. Fair
- 10:02enough. All right. Finally, Michaela with
- 10:05Mika. Tell us something, uh, interesting
- 10:08about Mika.
- 10:09Mika, um, likes to dabble in
- 10:12embroidery.
- 10:13Really?
- 10:14Yeah.
- 10:14Interesting.
- 10:15You know, instead know, writing stars in the cuffs of her
- 10:18jeans. She does that on the inside of
- 10:21her skirt.
- 10:22Okay.
- 10:24So people can't be like, oh, look at her. She's doing a woman
- 10:26thing.
- 10:27Sure.
- 10:28She doesn't like, she has to keep that hard exterior.
- 10:30Oh, okay.
- 10:31Uh, she says secret
- 10:33embroiderer.
- 10:34Yeah.
- 10:35She bedazzle at all?
- 10:38No, not yet.
- 10:39No, it hasn't come out yet. Our technology hasn't hit that
- 10:42point in
- 10:45that 90s peak.
- 10:49That'll be something.
- 10:50Peak of fashion design is bedazzling.
- 10:53We're going to do a, uh, Legend of Cora
- 10:56timeline campaign. And that's going to be all. The rage is
- 10:58bedazzled.
- 11:01Awesome.
- 11:02Well, that's everything for the guys. Everybody's
- 11:04questions. So we are going to jump into our big
- 11:07finale episode on Benders and
- 11:10Brews.
- 11:14It's just r1 big snap all at
- 11:16once.
- 11:18You could say we practiced.
- 11:20I would say so.
- 11:21I mean, sure.
- 11:22Mr. Okeron out front.
- 11:23You spent
- 11:26I would say he's standing wherever Bill's standing.
- 11:28I was going to say Bill's standing.
- 11:29Right next to him.
- 11:29And he's got a staff out.
- 11:31So up front.
- 11:32Yeah.
- 11:33Uh, Mr. Okran leans over to
- 11:36Bill and he says, uh, so did
- 11:39we decide if we're going to pay them
- 11:42and just tell them, this is your last
- 11:44one, or are we just saying.
- 11:46No, Mr. Okra, if we were going to pay them, we wouldn't have gotten this
- 11:49small.
- 11:50Well, no, I figured they were, like, into it. Like, hey, this is your last
- 11:52payment. Get out of here.
- 11:54No, they don't deserve payment. They're bullies.
- 11:56Oh, right. Well, yeah, no, I mean, I agree.
- 11:59But I just did you bring the money out here?
- 12:01Um, yes. You
- 12:04better go take that back inside.
- 12:06We don't want to lose that in the battle.
- 12:07Okay.
- 12:09You might need that. No, if something gets
- 12:11burned or something because we are going to fight here in the
- 12:14street.
- 12:16Oh, okay. I was up for damage
- 12:18without violence.
- 12:19Okay, well, I think they might back down. Look at
- 12:22this. Do you see that snap? I
- 12:25was intimidating.
- 12:26That was a really intense snap.
- 12:27Like, damn, look, we got and Mika,
- 12:30like, tricking them.
- 12:31Oh, yeah, we have the upper hand.
- 12:33We're fine.
- 12:33No?
- 12:34Okay, I'll run this back inside.
- 12:36Okay.
- 12:37Then they see him running.
- 12:39Hey, where do you think you're going, old man?
- 12:42And then if he steps forward towards them,
- 12:45bill's going to step between them.
- 12:46Okay.
- 12:47Put the money back.
- 12:53This guy, this guy, he looks you in the eye and he's like, who
- 12:56are you supposed to be, his
- 12:59little bodyguard?
- 13:00I'm, um, the door to the shop.
- 13:04Bill door?
- 13:06Yeah.
- 13:07Well, I'll kick you in if I got to.
- 13:09Uh, I want to see you try. And
- 13:12Bill just takes a stance and points his staff
- 13:15directly at okay.
- 13:16Okay.
- 13:17Are you going to initiate combat until he
- 13:20does?
- 13:20Okay. All right.
- 13:21So Bill, dor you're about to engage
- 13:24in combat with the leader,
- 13:27guy of the Wild Coyote
- 13:30boars, his rockabilly
- 13:32haircut waving in the
- 13:35wind or what have you, whatever you call it. Anyways, uh,
- 13:38he's going to take a stance right off the bat. He
- 13:41throws his foot back, uh, his right foot back
- 13:44behind him, stomps it into the ground. And that's the moment when you
- 13:47realize that he's obviously an earthbender, because as he does this,
- 13:49a chunk of earth kind of comes out of the ground to sort of support his
- 13:52foot. Um, so he's got kind of an angle and
- 13:55he withdraws his wooden,
- 13:58um, practice katana, whatever you want
- 14:01to call it. Um, and he's got it out the ready. So
- 14:04he looks like he is about to, like I said, engage in
- 14:07combat with you. Um, and he is kind of
- 14:10not waiting for your move, but with the way that the combat works in here, you're
- 14:13both going to choose a move at the same time. Uh, so
- 14:16you look through your moves and figure out what it is that you want to start
- 14:18with. In the meantime, I just want to get a quick
- 14:21check. What is everybody doing? Uh,
- 14:24we'll start with Mika. Mika, you are
- 14:27kind of like standing over with the Wild Coyote
- 14:30Boars. Now, a bunch of the people in
- 14:33the crowd of shop owners and such that have
- 14:36joined you guys are looking a little bit confused. Like, this
- 14:38person helped round us all up and then walk right over
- 14:41and join the gang.
- 14:44Mr. Okeron actually just went inside the
- 14:47shop, so he doesn't even really have I think he saw
- 14:50you guys walk over there. But given that you guys are basically
- 14:53like his kids, he has full faith and trust
- 14:56in you. And he also knows that you guys had discussed a lot of
- 14:59the planning for all of this. Kind of without
- 15:01him which is fine. That's kind of like what he had pitched. It's
- 15:04like, you guys figure it out.
- 15:07Exactly.
- 15:09And that's probably what he assumes. He always assumes, like, the most positive
- 15:12thing. So he's like, oh, well, she's going to go over there and talk them down so
- 15:15that they don't do this. No violence necessary.
- 15:17So he didn't really assume anything negative
- 15:21or anything of you walking you and Brock walking over there.
- 15:23But, um, the other shop owners and such
- 15:26are definitely confused. Like, why is she standing with them?
- 15:29Whatever. Uh, also, again, just to emphasize, mr.
- 15:31O'gron is not in the crowd at the moment. He went back
- 15:34inside because Bill told him to go put the money
- 15:37away because you're not going to need it.
- 15:40So, Brock and Mika, what are you guys
- 15:43doing in the group of
- 15:45this with technically three wild coyote boars that are
- 15:48standing there kind of just off to the side while their
- 15:51leader engages in combat with your friend.
- 15:53I'm just here to take a laid back approach and
- 15:56get him.
- 15:58Okay. That's it. Okay. All right.
- 16:00She's cheering.
- 16:03I didn't say boo.
- 16:04I was cheering. No, I know, I know.
- 16:05That's why I stopped when I said cheering. I was like, well, she's
- 16:07cheering.
- 16:09M. So there's only three of right?
- 16:11Right. So you would have the girl that you would talk to
- 16:14yesterday, chicra Chicra. Yep, exactly.
- 16:17Um, you have the big guy
- 16:19who's even larger than you, but he's a little bit more
- 16:22like burly, as opposed to just like, straight muscle.
- 16:25And then you've got another guy that's got
- 16:28he's kind of just a short, scrawny looking
- 16:30dude. He's kind of hunched over in a weird way to
- 16:33the point where you almost wonder if he's got some sort of a spinal
- 16:36issue in some way, shape, or form.
- 16:39Okay.
- 16:39So I'll, um, just be
- 16:42sort of standing off to the side with them and
- 16:45watching Bill dore taking on this guy.
- 16:48And I'll just be ready to intervene in case things get
- 16:51hairy for.
- 16:52Sounds good.
- 16:53Yeah. Awesome.
- 16:54Um, all right, perfect. So then we'll cut right over. Oh,
- 16:57I mean, Guo, what are you up to with, uh, the group? You guys
- 17:00just did this intimidating snap before Bill ended up kind
- 17:03of taking the charge on fighting this
- 17:05guy.
- 17:07Um, well, Guo's just going to be like, hold on,
- 17:10hold on. Like holding the villagers
- 17:14back.
- 17:14Sure.
- 17:15Um,
- 17:19Bill's doing his thing over here. He's not going
- 17:21to get in his way.
- 17:24Right.
- 17:24Gohan's. The man of the show snapping
- 17:27and stuff. This is Bill's Solo.
- 17:29Sure. All right. Let him do his thing.
- 17:31Got to sing this number quick, and then we all come in with the
- 17:34ensemble right now.
- 17:36All right, sounds good. He's the conductor.
- 17:39Yeah.
- 17:40Cool. All right. Very cool. All right, Bill,
- 17:42you're up. What are you doing?
- 17:44I'm defending.
- 17:45Okay.
- 17:45You're going to do a defendant maneuver. All right.
- 17:47Yeah.
- 17:48Go ahead and roll those dice for that.
- 17:50Uh, Bill sees the guy's. Is he, like,
- 17:52charging?
- 17:53Bill?
- 17:53He's currently not. Oh, um, yeah,
- 17:56he's taking an intense stance, as
- 17:59if he's going to do something.
- 18:03Well. Okay.
- 18:04Bill's going to defend a maneuver, and he's just going to
- 18:07parry. Well, he's got to roll first, right?
- 18:10Yes.
- 18:11I'm going to try and parry. I'll see
- 18:15nine.
- 18:16Okay, so you are going to be able
- 18:19to use a master
- 18:22technique or a basic technique, and you're going
- 18:25to do Perry, right?
- 18:26That's not mastered.
- 18:27Oh, okay.
- 18:28Or basic.
- 18:29It's a learn technique.
- 18:30Okay.
- 18:31So I'm going to
- 18:33retaliate.
- 18:34Okay.
- 18:35Anything he does, I do equally back to him.
- 18:37Okay, sounds good. Um, so he is going to
- 18:40strike. So, uh, he's doing advanced attack. So you are
- 18:42retaliating. So you've readied yourself for whatever
- 18:45he's doing. You have your Bow staff out, I assume.
- 18:47Yes.
- 18:48Okay, sounds good. So you take a defensive stance. He, um,
- 18:51shoots forward. So what he does is he kind of, like,
- 18:54presses off with his back foot, um, off
- 18:57of that small, little chunk of rock that he's raised out. And as
- 19:00he does, it kind of follows with him to kind of, like, push him forward.
- 19:03So he kind of, like, bursts forward, swinging his
- 19:06practice katana. You have your staff at the ready
- 19:09kind of block it. So he is going to strike. It
- 19:11says strike a foe in reach, forcing them to mark two fatigue, mark
- 19:14a condition or shift their balance away from center. It's your
- 19:17choice. And then you're going to deal it back to
- 19:20him. He's not going to do the one fatigue
- 19:22in order to hammer you with his blows, because this is like a singular
- 19:25strike. Um, so you get to choose which of
- 19:28those options that, uh, you want to take.
- 19:31Basically, I get to choose?
- 19:32Yes. What are the three options?
- 19:33Uh, you can mark two fatigue, mark a condition, or shift your
- 19:36balance away from center.
- 19:39I'll move my balance.
- 19:41Okay.
- 19:41And then which way are you moving the balance?
- 19:43Self reliance.
- 19:44Okay, sounds good. So you've taken charge of this
- 19:47battle, and so you feel
- 19:50what's? Uh, the opposite end at a care trust. Okay,
- 19:53sounds good. So you're thinking less about
- 19:56I need this group behind me
- 19:59to help me with this confrontation with this group.
- 20:02I can handle this myself. I'm going to fight this guy, and
- 20:05I'm going to mess, uh, him up, I guess, or
- 20:08handle this situation myself. Uh, because of
- 20:10that. You said you did
- 20:13retaliate, right?
- 20:14Yeah.
- 20:14Okay, so you're going to deal one fatigue to him.
- 20:17Well, how much fatigue did he do to me?
- 20:19None. Because you chose to take condition. Oh,
- 20:22yeah.
- 20:23Uh, so he takes one fatigue.
- 20:25So you two are both now locked inside of kind of like
- 20:28a hold against each other. So you're blocking with your Bow staff.
- 20:31He's slamming down into the Bow staff with his
- 20:33katana. Uh, we'll move into the second round here
- 20:36of the combat. What would you like
- 20:39to do? And I'm going to quickly figure out what I'm
- 20:42going to do. If anybody, uh, in the other groups, while we're
- 20:45thinking has anything that they want to throw in, just let me
- 20:48know.
- 20:48Um, Glow wants to kind of
- 20:51analyze this guy's movement
- 20:54and see if there's any
- 20:57glowing red spots.
- 20:59Sure.
- 21:00Uh, do you want to assess
- 21:03situation? Yeah, I was just exactly.
- 21:06You can assess the situation. Um, you
- 21:09could ready if you want to
- 21:12do, like, a defendant maneuver.
- 21:13I want to assess the situation.
- 21:15Okay.
- 21:15Sounds good. So technically speaking, anyone can kind
- 21:18of jump in or out of combat, uh, during these
- 21:21exchanges. Obviously, if you do something really
- 21:24forward, like actually attack him or something along those
- 21:27lines, you're probably going to upset the rest of the Wild
- 21:29Coyote boars. So just kind of a forewarning there. Obviously,
- 21:32there's going to be repercussions depending on what you do. But
- 21:35if you're doing something subtle, like just assessing the situation,
- 21:38there shouldn't be an issue. So feel free to roll for that.
- 21:42What is assess the situation?
- 21:44That one is creativity.
- 21:45Yeah. It's a three.
- 21:46It's a three.
- 21:47Okay.
- 21:47So, uh, you are
- 21:50really distracted holding these people back. There's one
- 21:53shop owner in particular that's.
- 21:54Like, yeah, I want to smash his face.
- 21:58And you got to really hold this guy back.
- 22:00You're doing everything in your power.
- 22:02You might even be using a little bit of earth bending to kind of.
- 22:05Put a wall behind yourself to just like, you
- 22:07can't do that right now. You got to let him do his
- 22:10thing.
- 22:11Um, so you're just holding somebody back. So you're having a hard time being able
- 22:14to look behind you and kind of assess this guy
- 22:17that, uh, Bill is fighting
- 22:20for.
- 22:21An apple cart vendor or a candied apple
- 22:23cart vendor. You're pretty
- 22:26sour.
- 22:27I left bushels all day.
- 22:29And he takes an apple and he goes to
- 22:32throw it at, uh, this Wild
- 22:35Coyote boar member. I'll roll
- 22:38and see.
- 22:38I hear fucking apples.
- 22:40That's a seven. So technically, it would hit
- 22:43it, like, bounces off his arm.
- 22:46Okay.
- 22:46Um, so when this happens, one,
- 22:49uh, of the other Wild Coyote board members is like, let's,
- 22:52uh, say, uh, this scrawny little dude, right,
- 22:55with the weird spine.
- 22:56He's like, hey, I saw that.
- 22:58Hey, uh, what are the rules here? We're going to mess you up.
- 23:01Hey, that guy's cheating. That guy's cheating. He's throwing
- 23:03apples.
- 23:04And the big dude, he kind of, like, glances over
- 23:07at the caramel apple sale or
- 23:10candied apple, you said?
- 23:12Yeah, whatever.
- 23:13The candied apple guy. And he just goes
- 23:17and he just slams his fist
- 23:20into his palm to make, like, a really loud slap sound. And the
- 23:23guy just turns white. And
- 23:26you immediately feel him pull back or
- 23:29kind of stop pushing against you. Uh
- 23:33uh. Now you're fine. Now this
- 23:36guy's not going to cause any more trouble. He kind of, like,
- 23:38fades. Uh, like, uh, Homer Simpson when
- 23:41he goes into the bush in that
- 23:44GIF that everybody does. Uh, or that meme or whatever. Yeah,
- 23:47that's what this guy kind of does with the group. He just kind of, like, disappears
- 23:50back into the so. All right, so back
- 23:53over to Bill. Bill, what were you going to, uh, do in this
- 23:56combat situation?
- 23:57We're still just in monoimano.
- 23:59Yes.
- 24:00Uh, defend and maneuver again.
- 24:02Okay, go for it.
- 24:04Bill's got his bread and butter.
- 24:07Uh, nine again.
- 24:09Nine. Nice. Okay.
- 24:10Do you have something specific you want to do?
- 24:12No.
- 24:12Retaliate.
- 24:13Retaliate again.
- 24:14Okay.
- 24:15He's just going to slowly whittle this guy down while blocking
- 24:18his attack.
- 24:21Uh, this character that you're fighting right.
- 24:24Again, we don't know his name just yet, or I don't think it's been mentioned.
- 24:27He's going to pressure you. So, uh, it says impress or
- 24:30intimidate a foe, in this case, obviously intimidate. Choose
- 24:33an approach. Your foe cannot choose to use
- 24:36that approach. In the next exchange,
- 24:39uh, you guys are locked
- 24:42staff to wood to wood,
- 24:45for lack of better terms. And he glares
- 24:48at you deep into your eyes, and he says, what
- 24:51are you going to do? You're going to block me this
- 24:54whole time? You're not gonna try anything offensive? Because if that's the case,
- 24:57I'm gonna knock you down, walk over you, and go beat
- 25:00the crap out of that old man. And, uh,
- 25:03you feel the urge to not
- 25:06simply defend after this
- 25:09point?
- 25:09Well, Bill just grits his teeth, and he just stances
- 25:12ground, basically.
- 25:13Okay, sounds good. Um, all right, so we'll go
- 25:16into the next round. Uh, anybody doing anything else
- 25:19while bill and I decide?
- 25:24Yeah, go for it. I had a question.
- 25:25Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:26So I have an overwhelm technique
- 25:29that says it has to be on an engaged foe. So I
- 25:32can't just sucker punch a guy
- 25:35with my overwhelm, or can I? Because to
- 25:37be engaged, does that mean I have to be in combat with them or
- 25:40just, like, in their vicinity?
- 25:43I would say because of the way that combat works in this game,
- 25:46where you can kind of jump in and out of it pretty quickly,
- 25:49I would say you could probably pretty quickly engage
- 25:52with somebody as long as you're within reach,
- 25:55or if you do something
- 25:58that's able to reach them. So, yeah, I mean, if you want
- 26:01to sucker punch somebody you're standing next to, I don't
- 26:03think that would be an issue, in my opinion.
- 26:05Okay.
- 26:07Can I do that now?
- 26:09Sure. Yeah.
- 26:10All right.
- 26:11It's a combat move, right?
- 26:13Yeah. Okay.
- 26:14I'm about to blow at least my cover here.
- 26:17Oh, no. I'm best friends with this chick.
- 26:22Um, while the scuffle is going on, I'll be
- 26:25like I'll go up to the big guy and just say, like, hey,
- 26:28bro, uh, how many teeth you
- 26:31got?
- 26:36Normal amount.
- 26:38That is fantastic news. And
- 26:41so what I would like to try and do with you
- 26:44is, uh, I'd like to change that right now. And so
- 26:47I'm, um, going to use my overwhelm. Throw a punch with
- 26:50all your weight behind it. Mark three fatigue to
- 26:53inflict stunned on an engaged foe.
- 26:56Okay. Is, uh, that going to be an advanced an
- 26:58attack?
- 26:59An advanced an attack, yeah.
- 27:00Okay, sounds good.
- 27:01Uh, doesn't say I have to roll. Does it just
- 27:04happen?
- 27:04Yeah, well, you'll roll to determine if you successfully
- 27:07advance an attack, like, for the whole maneuver in
- 27:10general. Real quick. Real quick. Do you know what you're doing,
- 27:13Bill, for this? Okay, so all
- 27:15exchange or all combat kind of happens at the same time, kind
- 27:18of similar to, like, DND, even though you take turns. So,
- 27:21uh, what approach are you because you can't take defendant
- 27:24maneuver.
- 27:25I'm advancing that.
- 27:25You're going to advance an attack? You're going to advance an attack?
- 27:27I said you had oh, yes, yes.
- 27:29And then what is doing?
- 27:32So GuoHan, now that the
- 27:35Coyote board gang is being kind of riled up
- 27:38over there, he's like, I gotta keep
- 27:42this crowd on our side. Energized, uh,
- 27:45here. Yeah, I try to start,
- 27:47like exactly.
- 27:55Bill.
- 27:58Tor.
- 28:02Um, I'm going to say, uh, that.
- 28:05Could be a bolster.
- 28:06Yeah, you could jump in
- 28:09it. Also, uh, since it's invade and observe. And
- 28:12granted, Bill doesn't have any fatigue right now, but it
- 28:14would clear one fatigue,
- 28:18but otherwise it would give him favored
- 28:21or something to that effect. Uh,
- 28:24well, hold on, hold on. Since that's an invading, uh, so we do it in order.
- 28:27So advance an attack or sorry, uh, defend a maneuver,
- 28:30which nobody's taking would be the first thing,
- 28:33right? Uh, actually not true.
- 28:36After intimidating you into not
- 28:38defending, this, uh, guy is
- 28:41going to defend a maneuver. So he is going
- 28:44to take a page out of your book, which in and of
- 28:47itself is kind of ironic, and he's going to retaliate.
- 28:50So he feels the urge that you
- 28:53have in knowing that he kind of is like, um,
- 28:56taunting you, in a sense, to attack him.
- 28:59He's going to take sort of a defensive stance and prepare himself.
- 29:01So that's what he's doing. Um, and then we go to advance and
- 29:04attack. So you two, Brock and Bill are both taking
- 29:07an advance and attack. So you two can both roll
- 29:10and do yours. And then, Dave, uh, with
- 29:13Guo, you're going to be doing an evadium, uh,
- 29:16observe technique. So that'll come in.
- 29:18Yes.
- 29:19I'll, uh, roll with creativity.
- 29:20That's right.
- 29:22I got a six.
- 29:23Nice.
- 29:24I got a nine.
- 29:26We can go.
- 29:28Nice, Dave.
- 29:29I'm very excited.
- 29:30First of all, we'll start with Bill. Bill, what did you get?
- 29:33Uh, eight.
- 29:34Eight, okay.
- 29:35So, yep, you get to choose one of those, uh, the basic or master
- 29:38strike.
- 29:38Strike.
- 29:39Okay, sounds good. So you're going to force him to mark. He, uh,
- 29:42can either mark two. Fatigue condition or shift his balance
- 29:45away from center. So you mark a fatigue if you
- 29:48want to hammer him with blows, I.
- 29:50Want to mark a fatigue.
- 29:51So, uh, you would mark a fatigue to make sure that he takes the
- 29:54two fatigue.
- 29:55Yes. Okay. Got it.
- 29:58So, yep, that's what he's going to.
- 29:59Does another one to me.
- 30:00Yeah.
- 30:01So you take one phil basically just says,
- 30:04I'll donkey real folds a staff.
- 30:07Like, above his head, like a down position.
- 30:10Okay.
- 30:11And he just starts just, like
- 30:14just pulling it straight down overhead, just
- 30:17whacking as hard as he can.
- 30:21Hammer this guy straight into the ground. And
- 30:24he's just like I don't know, just grunting really loudly,
- 30:26like tennis. Uh,
- 30:30basically each strike right into this guy.
- 30:33Got you. And then, of course, while you're hitting him amidst
- 30:36your blows to his noggin, uh, he
- 30:38occasionally, when he's not blocking, will lash out
- 30:41with, um, his sword. And he hits you,
- 30:44obviously once to deal that one fatigue. But
- 30:46otherwise, awesome. You've just donked
- 30:49him real good. Uh, Guo.
- 30:51What's up?
- 30:52So, for this whole balance, have
- 30:55we ever explained really how that works?
- 31:00Dave is asking about how balance works in this
- 31:02game. Great question, Dave. This is something we
- 31:05haven't but admittedly, probably should have covered
- 31:08more leading up until this point. So here's a
- 31:11brief overview of how balance works.
- 31:13Yeah.
- 31:14So basically, um, as you're going
- 31:16along and your balance changes away from
- 31:19center, uh, usually in one direction or the other, based on things
- 31:22that you do, um, that kind of lean
- 31:24towards that side of your balance, right? So,
- 31:28for instance, uh, Bill, what was yours again? Yours was self
- 31:30reliance and trust.
- 31:33Okay.
- 31:33So as Bill does things that
- 31:36lean, um, towards him doing it himself and
- 31:39not needing you guys or not needing anybody's support, he might
- 31:42move towards that self reliance if he ever
- 31:45goes to the end and then does, like, one
- 31:48more thing that would put him over the edge. Uh, it's really
- 31:51bad. Bottom line, uh, basically, you lose
- 31:54control of yourself. You do something harmful to
- 31:57yourself or to those around you because,
- 32:00um, from a personality
- 32:03standpoint, you've pushed yourself too far,
- 32:06essentially, into a direction that's harmful to you.
- 32:09Once that happens, usually we'll, um,
- 32:11resolve it, obviously, um, there will be kind of a
- 32:14residual effect of some sort, and then we'll put you back in the
- 32:17center. Um, and that goes for both ways.
- 32:20Right.
- 32:20If he relies on you guys too often, then he's
- 32:23going to go over the edge on team or, uh,
- 32:27team. And that's going to lead to him not being able to
- 32:30handle things on his own. And that's going to have
- 32:32repercussions as well. So as you're going, that's going to change
- 32:35things. Um, and throughout the game,
- 32:38uh, as you're doing various tasks and stuff, I might
- 32:41ask you to make a balance role. And then you will get either
- 32:44a plus or minus based on where you're sitting at to that
- 32:47balance role, um, on your balance track. So
- 32:50if I make you do something for a role that's for
- 32:53self reliance, then if you've already moved
- 32:56a couple in self reliance, you might get a bonus to that role. But,
- 32:59um, it's probably going to keep pushing you more and more and more towards self
- 33:02reliance, which could lead to you going off the edge. So it's kind of this interesting,
- 33:05like, give and take, right? So that's how the balance
- 33:08works.
- 33:08And if I rolled for one of my
- 33:11traits, what
- 33:14determines which way I would move then? If you said
- 33:16make sure a self reliance check.
- 33:19Yeah.
- 33:21What are yours out of curiosity?
- 33:24Mine are results and restraint.
- 33:26Okay.
- 33:27So, um, Guo wants to see
- 33:29things either completed and will do whatever
- 33:32it takes to get them done, or he will show
- 33:35restraint and say, hey, we need to plan more. We
- 33:38need to, um, discuss what kind
- 33:41of place that we want to end up with this
- 33:44situation or whatever the case. So it'll be just a matter
- 33:47of me asking you to make a role based on decisions you make. And to be
- 33:50honest with you, I've probably been a bit lax on that leading up until now.
- 33:53Hopefully, once we go into season two, we'll have,
- 33:55um, certain rules that we'll have a little bit better grasp on and
- 33:58that's where we'll be at. But as of right now, it's not so much of an
- 34:01issue. But that's kind of a basic overview of how that
- 34:04all works. So that's a basic overview.
- 34:06On balance in the Avatar Legends game.
- 34:09I hope this helped clear some things up. And again, moving forward,
- 34:12we'll do a bit more to challenge each character's current
- 34:15balance, calling them out and seeing if anyone ends
- 34:18up tipping over the edge. That's all for this mini
- 34:20tutorial discussion. Now back to the episode.
- 34:25You were also doing an attack and
- 34:28advance an attack. Advance an attack.
- 34:30Right.
- 34:30Okay.
- 34:31So Brock, what did you get?
- 34:32I got a six.
- 34:33Six.
- 34:33There's no plus or anything to it.
- 34:35That's with the, uh, man.
- 34:37So that is one shy of succeeding.
- 34:40So you actually take a swing at this
- 34:43big guy and he
- 34:46normally doesn't look like a very smart guy, but apparently
- 34:49he caught on to what exactly you were referring
- 34:52to when you said, I'm going to change how many teeth you have.
- 34:55And he ever so slightly tilted his head, which
- 34:58resulted in you kind of nicking him right in the cheek. Uh,
- 35:01but it wasn't really enough to deal any damage.
- 35:04And now he knows that you're not his
- 35:06friend. Uh, and he's a little bit upset with
- 35:09that. Um, I'm going to leave that as, uh, he's not going to have
- 35:12any kind of retaliation or anything because I'm going to call that kind of a surprise
- 35:15attack. He didn't have time to choose something on the list
- 35:18to respond to it with. But moving
- 35:21forward now, you've basically entered into combat with
- 35:23him.
- 35:24Fantastic.
- 35:25Big guy versus big guy over in the back while
- 35:28Bill is handling the leader. Um, and then
- 35:31Guo, you are doing an evade and
- 35:34observe. And you rolled a you said a nine.
- 35:37Got a nine.
- 35:37Perfect. Awesome.
- 35:40So you're bolstering and you're saying Bill.
- 35:43Bill.
- 35:44And from that, you are going to
- 35:47give Bill an appropriate
- 35:50status. Um, yes. Would you like to give him it'd probably either
- 35:53be empowered, favored, or
- 35:55inspired. Either one of those three, I would say,
- 35:58are perfect. So empowered. M says your
- 36:01abilities are naturally stronger in this moment. Clear
- 36:03one fatigue at the end of each exchange. Uh,
- 36:06that's the rounds that we were talking about, uh,
- 36:09or favored, which is your
- 36:12boyed by circumstance. Choose
- 36:15an additional basic or master technique.
- 36:16On your next favored.
- 36:18Probably.
- 36:18Okay, so he's the crowd yeah, that's right.
- 36:21He's the crowd favorite. Awesome.
- 36:22So as everybody's cheering
- 36:26and then Bill, you're over there. You're donking this guy,
- 36:29like, up and down the face with your, uh, bow staff, and you're
- 36:32feeling kind of like, energized by these crowds,
- 36:34like, chanting for you. You've never felt like, quite this
- 36:37level of just kind of, I can't say inspiration
- 36:40because obviously that's a separate condition or a
- 36:43status in and of itself. But you just feel, um, like, hey,
- 36:46I've got people behind me, standing
- 36:49behind me, supporting me, whatever the case. So, um,
- 36:52you are going to be able to choose a
- 36:54second in the next exchange. You can
- 36:57choose an additional basic or master technique to
- 37:00use.
- 37:01Um, and then so on a roll of nine, seven to
- 37:04nine, I get to do two basic techniques.
- 37:07Then under that.
- 37:08Oh, okay.
- 37:09So I'm going to also test the balance
- 37:12of this gang leader. And I want
- 37:15to ask him what his principle is by
- 37:18saying, like, why are you even here?
- 37:20What do you believe in?
- 37:23Uh, okay, cool. So, yeah, you question him of
- 37:26his.
- 37:26Principle, and he pauses combat to give me a
- 37:29formal response.
- 37:31And as he's trying to block these
- 37:33he's gritting his teeth. He's trying to block these blows
- 37:36from Bill. He says, it's
- 37:39about drive.
- 37:40It's about power. I, uh,
- 37:43stay hungry and I devour.
- 37:46Uh, and in all honesty,
- 37:49I kid you not, his principle that I put down his
- 37:52drive. Uh, so
- 37:55based on that answer, you kind of gauge that
- 37:58he feels some need to prove
- 38:00himself and prove, uh, his
- 38:03strength. Uh, maybe he feels inadequate at
- 38:06home, or maybe he feels inadequate to his family or something
- 38:09along those lines. So he has this personal need
- 38:12to show that he's stronger than everybody else and better than everybody
- 38:15else to prove that he is worthy of some
- 38:18level of either, uh, attention
- 38:21or, uh, self importance of some sort.
- 38:24So anyway, so that's what you gauge from that.
- 38:26Okay, perfect.
- 38:28Awesome.
- 38:28Uh, uh, we're going to reset the round. Does Mika
- 38:31have anything that she's up to, or is she just kind of, like, trying to lay low still
- 38:34over there? Was she talking to Chicra?
- 38:37Yeah. I'm waiting for my.
- 38:43On the ground.
- 38:43Tying everyone's shoelaces together.
- 38:47Awesome.
- 38:48All right, so we're going into next exchange. I assume
- 38:51everybody's pretty much staying in their combat situations as
- 38:53they were before. Feel, uh, free
- 38:56for those that are engaging to pick,
- 38:59uh, a combat approach from the list.
- 39:02I don't suppose I could just tell the big guys, just a
- 39:05prank, bro, and back away.
- 39:08You could switch over. Like I said, at the end of the day, it's really
- 39:11about you can jump in and out of combat. So, I mean, if you want
- 39:14to switch over and take a trick and try to see if
- 39:17you can do that to convince him that, hey,
- 39:20no big deal.
- 39:21Uh, just getting him prepared for the
- 39:24battle ahead and making sure his reflexes are on point.
- 39:27Yeah. Can I use
- 39:30my Earth sinking on the guy?
- 39:32Good. What is that?
- 39:33Uh, that would be syncophoe into the Earth
- 39:37itself. Mark two fatigue to trap an enemy standing on the grunt.
- 39:39Wait, do I still have to mark the three fatigue even though it didn't
- 39:42hit for the
- 39:44overwhelm?
- 39:45No.
- 39:46Okay, so, yeah, I try to use earth sinking to
- 39:49just sink him into the ground.
- 39:50And then which approach does that fall under?
- 39:53That is advancing attack.
- 39:55Okay, because I have this favorite thing.
- 39:57Can I do it do I have.
- 39:59To do it within the same approach?
- 40:02I don't think so. I think you could take two separate.
- 40:04I wanted to fend a maneuver and then advance an attack.
- 40:06Okay, so it's just the order in.
- 40:08Which we will well, one's an auto success.
- 40:11Okay.
- 40:11So I'm going to roll for the defendant maneuver.
- 40:14Okay, sounds good. All right. And then, uh, Guo,
- 40:17what are you going to do?
- 40:18So I'm going to try to
- 40:21bully this guy.
- 40:22Okay.
- 40:23Get under his skin.
- 40:25So you're going to hinder?
- 40:27Uh, no, I'm going to try to evade and observe
- 40:30again in hopes of testing his
- 40:32balance.
- 40:33Okay.
- 40:34Driving him towards his drive.
- 40:36Okay.
- 40:37All right, sounds good.
- 40:38Sounds good.
- 40:39All right.
- 40:39Sweet.
- 40:40Okay, so, uh, we'll start off with Bill.
- 40:43Uh, you're going to defend a maneuver, which you will be rolling
- 40:46for, um, go for it.
- 40:47Nine.
- 40:48Nine.
- 40:48Okay, sweet.
- 40:49What did you retaliate? Okay, awesome. So
- 40:52you, uh, get your bow staff, right? Okay, so you just did a
- 40:55whole bunch of blows to him. You guys both kind of, like, take a step
- 40:57back, taking some
- 41:00breaths, catching.
- 41:01Your breath, spiel about driving power.
- 41:02That's right. And then you take your
- 41:05bow staff and you are readying yourself for whatever he's about,
- 41:08uh, to pull next.
- 41:09So he gives this speech about driving power. And then Bill,
- 41:12while holding his bow staff, holds it in one hand, and
- 41:15then gives the fighter taunt of like.
- 41:18Come and get me, come and get me.
- 41:19With bringing his fingers towards his palm. Come
- 41:22and get me. Puts his hands back on the bow
- 41:25staff, ready his stance.
- 41:27Okay, sounds good. Uh, I mean, just out of
- 41:29curiosity, normally players, uh, would go
- 41:32first, but do you want him to advance an attack first or do you want to
- 41:35do it?
- 41:36Well, retaliate is just a response.
- 41:38Yes.
- 41:39So I want him to attack first.
- 41:41Okay, sounds good.
- 41:42It's going to counter.
- 41:43Sounds good.
- 41:44Okay, so he's going to
- 41:47strike kind of per, the usual. So he's going
- 41:50to force you to either mark two fatigue a condition or shift your balance
- 41:52from center.
- 41:54Yeah.
- 41:54He's just going to let you choose.
- 41:56Um I'll mark your condition.
- 41:58Okay, sounds good.
- 41:59Which condition?
- 42:00Angry.
- 42:01Okay, sounds good.
- 42:02He's just pull on, uh, that would make sense.
- 42:05Bill, uh, so that
- 42:08remark about, uh, the old man
- 42:11oh, okay. Really got under Bill's skin and that's
- 42:14why he started attacking him and yeah.
- 42:16Bill's just like furious at this. What a piece of
- 42:18crap. This jerk is here to just beat up my
- 42:21beat up an old man proverbial dad almost.
- 42:24Yeah, awesome. Okay, sounds good.
- 42:27Uh, switching over.
- 42:29He takes a fatigue.
- 42:30Yes, he will take a fatigue in response. Um
- 42:32awesome. He is looking exhausted. This
- 42:35guy has been pounding away and taking blows. I mean, he's
- 42:38got bruising all over his face. Um,
- 42:41so he is not looking great. I'm just going to put that out
- 42:44there. Brock wanted to do,
- 42:46wanted to do.
- 42:47The earth sinking on the big guy.
- 42:49Okay. So yep.
- 42:49Then it would be your turn for actually yeah, we'll
- 42:52do that. Yeah, that's fine because also Bill has to attack
- 42:55as well. So what are you doing?
- 42:57Uh, I'm doing the earth sinking and I rolled a seven.
- 42:59Seven.
- 43:00So that's a success.
- 43:01Sick. Sick.
- 43:02All right, so he goes
- 43:06and he all of a sudden just drops
- 43:08like 3ft just straight
- 43:11into the ground a little bit. I mean, obviously he's a big guy. I mean, this guy's
- 43:14probably like somewhere around like seven foot or
- 43:17so. Uh, obviously this is going
- 43:20to either kind of like up
- 43:22his legs, maybe to his knees, maybe a little bit
- 43:25higher or so. Um, I don't know the
- 43:28average proportions of human beings, but
- 43:31I would say somewhere around there. Uh, so now he's trapped
- 43:34in the ground. Uh, ironically, he
- 43:37was going to take the smash action because he was
- 43:40furious. So he's going to use that to smash
- 43:43the ground below him. But he does take a fatigue in order to do
- 43:45that. Um, he smashes the ground
- 43:49to pull himself back out.
- 43:51Well, that's a shame.
- 43:53Well, you did like I said, you knocked him down a fatigue,
- 43:56which is always nice.
- 43:57I'll take the big guy with a ton less fatigue.
- 44:00I'm good with that.
- 44:01That's right. M. And then Bill, you are going
- 44:04to do an additional approach.
- 44:07Strike. Okay, so you're striking basically, he
- 44:10goaded.
- 44:10Him in, and now he's just going to strike him straight down now that.
- 44:13He'S got him, like, all right, sounds good. And then are you going to
- 44:16mark that fatigue to ensure that he takes oh, yeah,
- 44:18okay, sounds good. So with that, you,
- 44:21uh, dash forward. Like I said, this guy's looking like crap.
- 44:24He just attacked you.
- 44:26Uh, and then you retaliated. So he's a little
- 44:29off balance. You use this opportunity to lurch
- 44:32forward, strike out sort of like in a stabbing
- 44:35motion to really reach past his defenses of
- 44:38his, uh, wooden katana and slam
- 44:41him right in the chest with a nice just, uh, sort of
- 44:44jab attack. Uh, this knocks him backwards and
- 44:47he falls to the ground and lands on his back.
- 44:50Dust cloud kind of comes up from where he
- 44:52lands. And he lays there,
- 44:57he tries to pick himself up and
- 45:00he falls back down again and he lays there. He's not
- 45:03dead by any means, but he's out. He
- 45:06is, uh, not unconscious, but
- 45:09he's not getting back up. Uh, the rest of the Wild
- 45:12Coyote bores look a little bit confused. Uh, the
- 45:15big guy, he kind of turns around after just
- 45:18pulling himself out of the ground. And, uh, he
- 45:21looks sort of a mix of, like, concerned and
- 45:23angry. Uh, the three of them are standing there, not
- 45:26100% sure what to do. Uh,
- 45:29Guo, what were you planning on doing?
- 45:31Well, now plans have changed,
- 45:34I feel.
- 45:34Like, because you were going to call him out.
- 45:38Yeah. Uh, so I'm going to, I guess,
- 45:41try to get these guys to beat
- 45:43it. Grab one of those
- 45:46apples from the guy next to me, like, now
- 45:49get out of here.
- 45:51Everybody's just got apples. You've been handing out apples
- 45:54from behind the scenes this whole time while everybody was cheering, you're like, hey, take this
- 45:57apple. Trust me, we're going to need it. All right, so you guys
- 46:00are all.
- 46:00Going to start throwing.
- 46:02I like to imagine this image of
- 46:04Bill standing over this guy knocked down, and he's standing there with
- 46:07his bow staff. And then the rest of the Wild
- 46:10Cody boards look over at Bill as.
- 46:12He'S standing there, and then he points.
- 46:13His bow staff at them. And right when he points, like, all
- 46:16the apples over
- 46:19his head cabbages, and.
- 46:21You hear a loud, there's some on the road.
- 46:24All right.
- 46:24Yeah, I like that. Okay, so, yeah, you step up and
- 46:27you step walk up to, uh,
- 46:30this downed gang leader. You put your bow
- 46:33staff kind of on his chest to say, stay
- 46:36down or whatever. Not that he's getting up anyways. And then, yeah, you
- 46:39look over at the rest of the Wild coyote boars and you point your
- 46:42staff over at him. And as you do this, you hear Guo
- 46:44shout out, now. And all of a sudden yeah,
- 46:47this just stream of produce comes
- 46:50flying through the air towards the wild
- 46:53coyote boars. Now, the one down, I was going
- 46:56to say the one downside is Mika standing
- 46:59over there with this group. What are you doing, Mika?
- 47:01As this flurry of, uh, fruits
- 47:04and shampoo
- 47:07comes flying towards you, I'm going.
- 47:10To grab a fruit and try and have a snack.
- 47:12M, you're going to try to catch one out of the
- 47:14air.
- 47:15All right, let's see. This is friendly fruit.
- 47:17I'm going to call this to rely on your skills and training.
- 47:21So go ahead and roll for that.
- 47:23For her to catch some produce.
- 47:25Catch produce. Did you do a
- 47:28lot when Bill pointed at them? Um, he was not
- 47:30expecting a horde of, uh, fruit, so he kind of got a
- 47:33little surprised. But then he's trying to play it cool, like yeah, that
- 47:36was the plan.
- 47:37It's like when planes fly right over a dude.
- 47:41I got, uh, uh, eight.
- 47:43Yeah. Okay.
- 47:44So, uh, I would say that's good enough to do it. You don't do it
- 47:46very well. Uh, so as you catch one piece of fruit,
- 47:49you get hit by three other apples or
- 47:52something. Um, I'm going to say
- 47:55put her.
- 47:56Body on the line, Mark.
- 47:57One fatigue for that. Uh, but otherwise
- 48:00yeah. You're holding in your hand
- 48:03a banana. Uh, yeah, they probably have
- 48:05bananas. I wasn't sure we
- 48:08were going to nut.
- 48:09A banana nut.
- 48:10Uh, banana nut got like a hint.
- 48:12Of cashew to it, but anyways, okay, so
- 48:15yeah, you've got a piece of fruit, but you're standing there eating this as more fruit
- 48:18is getting thrown at you.
- 48:22That's fine. I guess it has to stop
- 48:25eventually.
- 48:27These guys grow produce.
- 48:31Wait, they think so.
- 48:34It's continuous. It's not like.
- 48:38I would say that they do one volley
- 48:41to throw these fruits and stuff at them and
- 48:44then obviously they're getting donked, donke, donk. They're getting hit with
- 48:46it. Uh, the little scrawny guy, he's really complaining.
- 48:49He kind of runs behind the big burly dude. The
- 48:52big burly dude, on the other hand, is just kind of taking it, it's just like
- 48:55bouncing off him, no big deal. Uh, chicra.
- 48:58She's not a huge fan of it. She's got her staff and she's trying to
- 49:01swing at it and knock it out of the air as it's coming at,
- 49:04um, you guys, what do you guys do at this
- 49:07point?
- 49:07As really don't like Mika, uh, because she's talking
- 49:10them, she's just eating their.
- 49:12Fruit, trying to make a statement and she's
- 49:15like, oh, I don't really like that one. They
- 49:18all start aiming explicitly for Mika.
- 49:23Bill, m, you were surprised at first and then as
- 49:26the volley kind of slows down. Are you doing
- 49:29anything or saying anything?
- 49:32No, he's letting the people have their moment.
- 49:35He doesn't want to charge in and get CULTED in the back.
- 49:39Okay, uh, they throw the one volley and then you hear a couple
- 49:42of the vendors that are part of the group. They're like, okay,
- 49:45stop.
- 49:45Okay.
- 49:46I only wanted, like, one you guys could throw one each. Okay,
- 49:49don't throw all my stuff. All right. So you don't think
- 49:51there's any more fruits and vegetables coming at this point, and
- 49:54everybody's kind of standing there awkward. Uh, the wild
- 49:57coyote, boars, definitely. Look, I mean, for the most part,
- 50:00fairly defeated across the board, all things
- 50:02considered. They're
- 50:05just standing there. Nobody knows what it is that they should
- 50:09do.
- 50:10They should get out of there.
- 50:12I was going to say for Mika's moment, could I start
- 50:15to disengage from the big guy and
- 50:18just go to Chicra and just be,
- 50:20like, try and take her down
- 50:23too? I need to stop
- 50:26engaging with people if I have these crappy roles.
- 50:28I mean, you are more than welcome, because he was kind of
- 50:31distracted by the fruits mean, all of them were kind of
- 50:33distracted by the fruits and vegetables. So if you want to disengage with
- 50:36him and then walk around to try to take on
- 50:39Chicra, which one's Chicra again? She is the
- 50:42chick that you guys.
- 50:43Had, you know, who's asked me about, oh, it must be great to
- 50:45not have a dad.
- 50:48Let's throw stuff at her because she.
- 50:49Doesn'T know how to oh,
- 50:52yeah, there you go.
- 50:53Well, she has a dad. Meek is the one that
- 50:56doesn't.
- 50:57Is that all you had to talk about?
- 50:59And I know how to catch. I just proved
- 51:02it.
- 51:04But how if you don't, she can
- 51:07catch one.
- 51:09So can I ask, like, if I.
- 51:12Were to try to engage with Chief.
- 51:14Would you join me?
- 51:16Okay.
- 51:18I need more than a you got to do it.
- 51:21I got, uh, to do it.
- 51:22You said you're waiting for your moment.
- 51:24Yeah.
- 51:24And you don't know when my moment.
- 51:26Is going to be.
- 51:27She's eating fruit.
- 51:28All right.
- 51:31He's not giving any of her signs right now.
- 51:33There's no tells. Yeah, I've got no luck with the
- 51:38can I just walk up behind Chikra during this whole
- 51:41thing and just try and do, like, a sweep the leg maneuver?
- 51:44Sure.
- 51:44Yeah.
- 51:45We'll call that a strike, obviously.
- 51:47Yeah.
- 51:47So go ahead and roll for that.
- 51:49Five, six, seven.
- 51:50Hey, that's just enough to do it. All right, sounds good. So you
- 51:53strike. Um, I'm going to say that because
- 51:56it's a sneak attack, I'll let you do the condition.
- 51:58So basically she is we'll call it
- 52:01stunned.
- 52:02If it's a sneak attack, would I say it's
- 52:05afraid? Because she wouldn't be insecure.
- 52:08Yeah, no, that makes sense.
- 52:09Okay.
- 52:10So she's going to mark afraid minus.
- 52:12Two to intimidate and call someone out.
- 52:14So you are knocking her asunder you're sweeping the
- 52:17leg. Um, engaging afraid because you snuck up
- 52:20behind her and kind of caught her really off guard. Not to mention
- 52:23the fact that she's kind of afraid from this group
- 52:26that suddenly turned against them and all that kind of stuff. So, uh,
- 52:29she falls to the ground. She hits the ground. Um,
- 52:32she looks up and sees that you were the one to do it. And she
- 52:35says, oh, my gosh, I thought you were on our
- 52:39I did.
- 52:39No.
- 52:41And she looks over to Mika, and she's like,
- 52:44Mika, help me.
- 52:47He's bullying me.
- 52:51Is she on the ground?
- 52:53Yeah.
- 52:54If you curb stomp her right. No going to be
- 52:57very concerned about I was going
- 52:59to say, I guess
- 53:03here's my moment.
- 53:05I was going to be like, well, maybe I'll sweep the leg and make
- 53:08sure she's down for the count.
- 53:09But you were too long.
- 53:12She's down.
- 53:13Double sweep the leg.
- 53:14You start kicking her leg.
- 53:18I want.
- 53:18You to just throw that apple as hard as you can.
- 53:20Right.
- 53:21I have a banana.
- 53:23You like ground ah.
- 53:28Hardness.
- 53:29Coconut sound.
- 53:30Right.
- 53:30Or else you just pull heel off of it. Now she's standing up,
- 53:33you throw it under her foot.
- 53:35Just like right in the solar plexus joke.
- 53:37Oh, gosh.
- 53:38The best running joke is there smashed
- 53:40fruit.
- 53:41Okay.
- 53:42Because we were yeah, you guys got bombarded.
- 53:44Is there potentially water would be considered
- 53:47juice? Could I water bend?
- 53:49You're saying you want to pull some juice out of the fruit that's around
- 53:52you?
- 53:52Yeah. That's pulling up on the ground. Because we just got
- 53:55annihilated.
- 53:56Sure.
- 53:57Are you going to do a, uh,
- 54:00combat technique with it, or are you just going to pull it
- 54:03out?
- 54:03For the moment, I'm just going to,
- 54:05um waterboard.
- 54:07Just kidding.
- 54:08Waterboard.
- 54:09I have some influence on these characters.
- 54:13Okay.
- 54:14Uh, I don't know what do
- 54:16that.
- 54:19No, but do you want to I mean, we can start with
- 54:22pulling the juice out of the fruit and see if that's successful. So do another
- 54:25rely on your skills and training.
- 54:27Then we got another eight.
- 54:28Nice. Okay.
- 54:29Uh, you do it imperfectly, so you only get, I would
- 54:32say, a certain amount, uh,
- 54:35let's say, like, a cupful of
- 54:37juice, uh, of varying
- 54:40fruit and vegetable juice. You've made a weird
- 54:43V eight smoothie in the air, and you're
- 54:46holding it there, so you've got it. What do you want to do with
- 54:49it? Chica is definitely kind of
- 54:51confused. She was like, Help me. And then
- 54:54you pulled juice out of fruits and stuff. She's a little
- 54:57confused on how that's helping her, but I guess she's
- 54:59not upset. She's open to the possibilities.
- 55:02Don't want you to cramp up now.
- 55:04Is anyone else doing anything while she's doing this? I
- 55:07mean, Brock, you're kind of standing over Chica at the moment.
- 55:10Yeah, Bill, you asked what I was doing.
- 55:11Yes.
- 55:12I am standing in the middle, and I'm going
- 55:15to point directly at the big guy.
- 55:17Okay. All right.
- 55:19Your turn now, big guy.
- 55:22Okay.
- 55:23You're going to call him out?
- 55:25I already got him one fatigue, so I warmed him
- 55:28up for you.
- 55:28Oh, nice. Good.
- 55:30Yeah. We'll just say that you're calling him out. Okay. I'm not
- 55:33call him over to combat and
- 55:35he seems like the type because he
- 55:38just instantly is like okay,
- 55:44stopping over towards you. Um,
- 55:46so you're ready to go as far as you're concerned
- 55:49with this guy? Did you have something you were ready to do, Mika?
- 55:52Um, with the juice, I'm thinking of,
- 55:54uh, throwing it at Brock.
- 55:57Bro, she really is taking us in.
- 56:00Order to trick, um,
- 56:03Chicra.
- 56:04Is this not your
- 56:07is she's literally.
- 56:08Laying on the ground?
- 56:11I don't know what you want me to do.
- 56:14You're basically choosing the other side.
- 56:17But if I trick her, then my hopes
- 56:20were if I roll, uh, but they overcommit
- 56:23and they are deceived for some time.
- 56:25Okay, well, uh, feel free to roll a trick then
- 56:28as you try to go to throw this.
- 56:30Well, I mean, it's just not enough water to really do any damage.
- 56:33M, it's not going to hurt and.
- 56:35It'S just like, it'd be like a water balloon. I'll aim for
- 56:38his shoulder or something like oh yeah, I mean it's not.
- 56:41Going to do damage to him by any means. Just get you a little sticky or something
- 56:44wet.
- 56:44I'll have to take two showers this week.
- 56:46Oh no you won't.
- 56:48He'll just washing dishes, they'll be fine.
- 56:50All right, so Cheekwood's on the ground. We got the big guy
- 56:53standing squaring up to Bill. Now with
- 56:56the smaller guy behind him.
- 56:58How far away is the big guy.
- 57:00Trouncing his way over?
- 57:01He'd be making his way over to Bill, but I mean, he's probably
- 57:04not more than like 10ft at this point from where you are
- 57:07because he just was walking away from you because, um, you guys were
- 57:10all kind of huddled together.
- 57:11Right? But where is he? In accordance to
- 57:14the three of us, if I were to throw this
- 57:17water balloon at Brock but I
- 57:20missed and I hit the doo buddy on the
- 57:23back of the head, would that be possible or not?
- 57:26Yeah, I wanted to, but this way Chicra thinks
- 57:29I'm still on her
- 57:31questioning. What?
- 57:33Yeah, right, okay.
- 57:34I'm just trying to dissuade the other guy's
- 57:37attention.
- 57:37You use your trick to pretend to throw the juice
- 57:40at Brock and miss
- 57:43intentionally. The juice goes flying and
- 57:45instead hits the big guy.
- 57:47Yeah.
- 57:50So in trick you get to pick one of the following options.
- 57:52They stumble, take plus one forward, acting against
- 57:55them. They, um, act foolishly. The GM
- 57:58tells you what additional opportunity and then you said you wanted to do. They overcommit
- 58:01their deceit for sometimes. So you're like,
- 58:04oh dang, I missed
- 58:06him with the juice
- 58:09and Chico's like, uh,
- 58:11dang, that was really close.
- 58:14It's okay, you get points for trying a for
- 58:17effort.
- 58:18Yay.
- 58:18As she's like picking herself up off the ground,
- 58:21kind of wary of Brock who's still standing
- 58:24there. Um, and then the big guy,
- 58:27I mean, it splashes onto the back of his head and he kind of
- 58:29like, turns around. He glares over. There, and then
- 58:32chica just said, yeah, you just shrug. Uh, and chica's like,
- 58:35sorry, berkeley, our bad.
- 58:38And he goes and he just turns around and keeps
- 58:41walking back over towards did
- 58:44guo have something that he was doing?
- 58:46Uh, so guo is he's assessing the
- 58:48situation?
- 58:49Right. Okay.
- 58:50Uh, so he's looking where everybody's at?
- 58:53Take advantage of the water.
- 58:54I'm going to roll and see if.
- 58:55I get asked a question.
- 58:57Yeah, absolutely.
- 58:59So I got an eight.
- 59:00Awesome.
- 59:01So you get one of those questions on the list.
- 59:03All right, so he's looking for stuff in the
- 59:05environment. What here can I use to
- 59:08hurt or impede? Like
- 59:12that smaller guy or the little guy?
- 59:16I don't want it to be too, um, on. Looks like they have
- 59:18Chiker kind of handled. I don't want it to be too, um on
- 59:21bill.
- 59:22Sure.
- 59:22Is there, like, I don't know, barrels or, like, a
- 59:25potted plant in a window sill?
- 59:28Like a cart of cabbages up the hill?
- 59:33All things considered, you're in, like, a
- 59:36town center, so I would say all of
- 59:39those things are available.
- 59:42Produce cart.
- 59:43If you suggest something to me, I'm probably not
- 59:46going to say no. That's how I'll answer that question. I
- 59:49noticed this cabbage cart no, wait,
- 59:52pumpkin cart. Because there was that pumpkin guy, wasn't there?
- 59:55Wasn't that the pumpkin salesman?
- 59:56Yeah.
- 59:57Earlier when you guys like the squid.
- 59:59We met a guy outside and trying to sell us. I thought it was
- 1:00:02pumpkin.
- 1:00:03I think it was pumpkin.
- 1:00:04There's a pumpkin salesman.
- 1:00:07He's a catchy pumpkin guy. I feel
- 1:00:10like he's got the no, I can talk to the pumpkin
- 1:00:13guy.
- 1:00:13Okay.
- 1:00:14So I go up, is he from the
- 1:00:17saw? Dude, you know where these, uh, wild coyote
- 1:00:20boys are, bro?
- 1:00:22The wild coyote boys,
- 1:00:27those bunch of.
- 1:00:28Mischievous.
- 1:00:30Kids always charge me money not
- 1:00:33to squish my pumpkins.
- 1:00:35Yeah, we're trying to find them, so maybe they don't have to
- 1:00:38charge anybody anymore. You know where they are?
- 1:00:41I always see him going. I always see him m
- 1:00:45going.
- 1:00:45Where is it?
- 1:00:46Which direction is it?
- 1:00:48Every time at the end of the.
- 1:00:50Night when I see him scamming up.
- 1:00:52A bunch of people, I always see him
- 1:00:54heading
- 1:00:56southeast.
- 1:00:58Southeast. That's the polar opposite direction from m.
- 1:01:01Where we are headed.
- 1:01:03Where are you headed?
- 1:01:05We are headed northwest for
- 1:01:07reasons that are not your business, mr. Pumpkin man.
- 1:01:10You seem kind of rude for a guy that just asked me
- 1:01:13some questions.
- 1:01:14I apologize that's talking to people, it's not my
- 1:01:17strong suit.
- 1:01:17Well, I tell you what. You asked me a question,
- 1:01:21and I.
- 1:01:21Gave you an answer.
- 1:01:26M, you're here.
- 1:01:29I don't even want to know.
- 1:01:31But if I answered your question, I
- 1:01:34feel it's only fair for me to ask you
- 1:01:37one, and you to give me a straight answer.
- 1:01:40That, uh, sounds fair.
- 1:01:42You want to buy some pumpkins?
- 1:01:46Sorry, we are not interested in buying.
- 1:01:48Some pumpkins right now, Derek Blambit.
- 1:01:50I knew you'd say that. Why does anyone want
- 1:01:53pumpkins?
- 1:01:54And he wheels his cart away. So there's
- 1:01:57a pumpkin cart.
- 1:01:58I noticed. Like, the wheels are like
- 1:02:00chalked.
- 1:02:04I could just undo those.
- 1:02:07Okay, then. Pumpkins are
- 1:02:09rolling. All right.
- 1:02:12Oh, yeah. I could just open the cart or.
- 1:02:14Yeah, whatever you want to do. Um, they're not
- 1:02:17necessarily on, like, a hill, though, so I don't know if they but, I mean,
- 1:02:20you could do something with the cart to make it.
- 1:02:22You could Earth bend a ram.
- 1:02:23Yeah, that's true. So there
- 1:02:26you go. There's your assessment. Uh, situation. All right, so we're going to
- 1:02:29jump into another, uh, exchange here.
- 1:02:32Currently on the board is Bill going
- 1:02:35up against the big guy, aka Berkeley, which is how I'll
- 1:02:38refer to him from this point forward, since his name was said. Um,
- 1:02:41Brock is engaged with Chicra,
- 1:02:43who's picking herself up off the ground.
- 1:02:46Um,
- 1:02:49Guo has something in mind that he's going
- 1:02:52to do with that pumpkin cart, probably. And then,
- 1:02:54Mika, you're engaged with
- 1:02:57Brock, I think. I don't know.
- 1:03:00We're not really sure where Mika is going with
- 1:03:03this. Um,
- 1:03:05we'll have to see. So everybody pick your
- 1:03:08combat approach. Uh, unless you're Guo, in
- 1:03:11which case you can kind of pick whatever. Um, since you're not
- 1:03:14engaged in combat, per se.
- 1:03:16Has,
- 1:03:18um, Chikra established if she's
- 1:03:21a bender or not?
- 1:03:24Uh, yes, she is the firebender. So when
- 1:03:27you guys were at the party, she, uh, had kind of, like, snapped her
- 1:03:30fingers and lit a little flame in her hand.
- 1:03:32Gotcha. I'll advance an
- 1:03:35attack.
- 1:03:36All right, sounds good.
- 1:03:37Has she fully gone up yet, or is he going to I think she's.
- 1:03:40Like, on all fours at this point. Somebody
- 1:03:43wouldn't curb stomp her.
- 1:03:45This is a family friendly podcast.
- 1:03:48When all right, sounds good. Is everybody
- 1:03:51good?
- 1:03:52What are you doing?
- 1:03:53I'm a tiny gal. Okay.
- 1:03:55What are you doing, Mika?
- 1:03:57I'm going to if that is your real
- 1:04:00name.
- 1:04:00That is your real name.
- 1:04:02I guess I'll avoid
- 1:04:05okay, sounds good.
- 1:04:06So, Bill, you're defending a maneuvering.
- 1:04:09Anyway, bill is going to
- 1:04:11Republicans.
- 1:04:13Bill is going to retaliate. So, uh, you
- 1:04:16prepare yourself for whatever comes from
- 1:04:18Berkeley. Additionally, um, Chicra
- 1:04:21is also going to be defending a maneuver. So since we got order,
- 1:04:24growth, advancing.
- 1:04:24An attack okay, good. Got it. Awesome.
- 1:04:27So she is going to seize a position. She's simply going
- 1:04:29to try to disengage with Brock. She knows when she's kind of outside
- 1:04:33of her league. Um, and she is going to
- 1:04:35overcome a negative status or danger,
- 1:04:39um, establish an
- 1:04:41advantageous gosh position, um,
- 1:04:44or escape a scene. Uh, you
- 1:04:47can take one fatigue to block
- 1:04:50her from doing this if you would.
- 1:04:52Like, if I don't? Does that
- 1:04:55mitigate the nine that I just rolled for my
- 1:04:58advancement? Would I still miss on my advancement
- 1:05:01attack?
- 1:05:02What do you mean?
- 1:05:03Like, since she's trying to disengage right. My advanced
- 1:05:06attack is just kind of a wash. Yeah.
- 1:05:09Because she would be pulling out of the combat situation, basically.
- 1:05:12Yeah.
- 1:05:12Mark 150.
- 1:05:13All right, sounds good. So she's, like, starting to get up, and she looks like
- 1:05:16she's going to just dash away, but instead
- 1:05:19you grab her or something, like, from the back of the collar or
- 1:05:22something. So it's like some scooby Doo looking trying to
- 1:05:25run away and just running in place instead of getting away.
- 1:05:27Um, as you gear up for your advance and attack. So,
- 1:05:30um, that's everything for defendant maneuver. Who's.
- 1:05:33Dave for Guo.
- 1:05:37Uh, Connor, uh, for Brock. And are you doing advance and attack as well,
- 1:05:40Mika?
- 1:05:40Okay, sounds good.
- 1:05:41So all three of the rest of you are all doing advance an attack,
- 1:05:44and Berkeley is also going to be doing advanced attack, but you guys go
- 1:05:47first.
- 1:05:47Okay, well, with mine, I have a question.
- 1:05:50Yes.
- 1:05:53I wanted to use pressure.
- 1:05:55Okay.
- 1:05:55Can I use it on chicra to
- 1:05:58impress okay. And so
- 1:06:01that she can't use one of the it says I can
- 1:06:04impress or intimidate a foe. Choose an approach. Your foe
- 1:06:06cannot choose, uh, to use that approach. In the
- 1:06:09next
- 1:06:13put myself since
- 1:06:16know has a hold of her, can I put my hand on Brock's
- 1:06:19arm so she can see my left, brock can see my
- 1:06:22right. I'm gonna wink at Brock, and I'm gonna say to Shikra,
- 1:06:25uh, don't worry, I got this.
- 1:06:27Okay, but if I can only see one half of your face
- 1:06:30yeah, I.
- 1:06:30Winked with the side that you can see, but she
- 1:06:33can't.
- 1:06:35Okay, well, Brock doesn't understand winking.
- 1:06:37I'm just hoping for the best of.
- 1:06:40Recently, he struggles with personal
- 1:06:42wink, but he's been practicing.
- 1:06:45It is on the top of his mind.
- 1:06:47Uh.
- 1:06:49He shudders because he felt like someone just winged.
- 1:06:53Did you roll, by the way?
- 1:06:54No.
- 1:06:55Okay.
- 1:06:55Roll for the advanced attack. So it would be passion
- 1:06:58eight.
- 1:06:59Eight. Okay. So that's a success. So yes. Okay.
- 1:07:01You impress her because, um,
- 1:07:04she's pretty intimidated by this big, burly gay.
- 1:07:07Well, she's over committed to me too.
- 1:07:08Sure, that's right.
- 1:07:11So she, um, is easily influenced
- 1:07:14by you. I guess at the current moment, you're this cool chick that
- 1:07:17doesn't have a dad.
- 1:07:19I'm everything she wants.
- 1:07:20Exactly.
- 1:07:21She's like, man, she does whatever she wants. She lives on the
- 1:07:24roof and sleeps there in a sleeping bag
- 1:07:27or something. And just all this other stuff, um, she gets
- 1:07:30rained on. That's pretty sick. So whatever the
- 1:07:33case. So, yeah, you're definitely able to impress
- 1:07:36her. Uh, what do you not want her to do?
- 1:07:38You can choose either defend a maneuver, advanced attack, or observe. What do
- 1:07:41you want to keep her from choosing next time?
- 1:07:43Evade and observe.
- 1:07:45Okay.
- 1:07:45You don't want her to evade and yeah, okay.
- 1:07:48Got it.
- 1:07:48So she cannot take that because she's so impressed by
- 1:07:51you. She's like, yeah, okay. If Mika's doing this,
- 1:07:54then I'll defend myself.
- 1:07:55I'll attack.
- 1:07:56I don't need to look around and figure things
- 1:07:59out.
- 1:08:00Okay. Got it. Awesome.
- 1:08:01Keep her distracted.
- 1:08:02Sure.
- 1:08:03Uh, Gua, do you want to yeah. You're
- 1:08:06going to advance an attack.
- 1:08:07Advance an attack.
- 1:08:08Okay. What are you doing?
- 1:08:10So he sees this pumpkin cart
- 1:08:12that's, like, right behind the
- 1:08:15other, uh, scrawny guy. It's like,
- 1:08:18man, this pumpkin cart is full, and it's got
- 1:08:20a latch on the front. I could just break that
- 1:08:23latch. It all comes spilling out.
- 1:08:27So Guo's gonna
- 1:08:31take one of the street cobbles, like,
- 1:08:34I don't know, about a foot around, and be like, all right, guo just like
- 1:08:36we practiced. And he's gonna try to
- 1:08:40because usually he's not the best Earthbender.
- 1:08:42Honestly, he's never been trained or whatever. You know,
- 1:08:45like, when they go in Avatar,
- 1:08:48they go to that one rock,
- 1:08:51uh, earth bending school.
- 1:08:53Everybody's, like, punching their jars of sand and stuff like
- 1:08:56that.
- 1:08:57Yeah.
- 1:08:58Or, like, struggling to lift rocks. That's basically cool.
- 1:09:01Sure.
- 1:09:03So he's going to psych himself up and then lift this
- 1:09:06stone. It's, like, kind of wobbling, not super
- 1:09:08steady. And then he's going to launch it.
- 1:09:11At the latch okay. Um, and
- 1:09:13hopefully break it.
- 1:09:14Awesome.
- 1:09:15Go for that.
- 1:09:17He's trying to do a smash. Advance an
- 1:09:19attack.
- 1:09:20Awesome.
- 1:09:21Five, six, seven
- 1:09:25I had a plus one from my acting on.
- 1:09:28Yes.
- 1:09:28Okay, sounds good. Um, I would say that in
- 1:09:31this specific instance, um,
- 1:09:34everybody kind of out. Well, I would say
- 1:09:37probably I want to say that it would probably affect
- 1:09:39both Bill and
- 1:09:42Berkeley there we go. Since they're spilling out
- 1:09:45onto this sort of open area, battlefield,
- 1:09:48whatever, right. And it makes sense to be
- 1:09:51impaired. So it says, uh, you're slowed or
- 1:09:54off balance. Mark one, fatigue. Or
- 1:09:57take a minus two to all physical actions.
- 1:10:00Uh, choose one fewer
- 1:10:02technique. And that's just for
- 1:10:05NPCs. Um,
- 1:10:08that's what's on the battlefield right now. Uh, as you
- 1:10:11do this, you hear, uh, the guy from amidst the crowd
- 1:10:14shout, my pumpkins.
- 1:10:18Did you do your thing yet?
- 1:10:19Not yet. Not yet. Okay.
- 1:10:20And then we have Bill.
- 1:10:21Of course.
- 1:10:21I already retaliated.
- 1:10:23Right?
- 1:10:23You already retaliated. So you're good to go. Um, so you're
- 1:10:26attacking, right?
- 1:10:27Yes.
- 1:10:27Okay, so, uh, you tell me what you're doing then.
- 1:10:30Uh, so I've got her
- 1:10:33by the back of the collar, right? And
- 1:10:36her legs are fully off the ground.
- 1:10:37Are you saying
- 1:10:41I think you're just holding her, not, like, picking her up off.
- 1:10:43Okay, I didn't pick her up. Yeah, I want to
- 1:10:46pick her up.
- 1:10:47Okay.
- 1:10:47And use my Earth Gauntlet.
- 1:10:50So I wrap my.
- 1:10:56Finishing move here.
- 1:10:59Oh, jeez.
- 1:11:02I feel like I can envision what this is going to turn into.
- 1:11:05I haven't seen it.
- 1:11:06I want to just wrap my fist around
- 1:11:09wrap earth around my fist.
- 1:11:15And.
- 1:11:15Just the mortal Kombat.
- 1:11:17This isn't like I'm going to marshal.
- 1:11:19And fatigue, but I'm going to punch her. I want to try and send her, like,
- 1:11:22flying through a wall or something.
- 1:11:24Oh, my.
- 1:11:28Which is a success.
- 1:11:31Okay, this is how I'm envisioning it.
- 1:11:34You are holding her by the collar. She stopped
- 1:11:37know, like I said, running in. Um, and
- 1:11:40because Mika reassured her, like, hey, no worries,
- 1:11:43everything's going to be I've got my
- 1:11:46hand on his arm. He's not going to do anything to her.
- 1:11:49And then you promptly pull Earth from the ground
- 1:11:52onto your arm. And just
- 1:11:55before I hit her wait.
- 1:11:57Where am I in the retaliation?
- 1:11:59You're standing right next to him, just lightly holding his
- 1:12:02arm.
- 1:12:03I know, but like, am I going to be.
- 1:12:07Really trying to hold him.
- 1:12:08Back.
- 1:12:12Before I hit her?
- 1:12:15Can I, like, pull her close and.
- 1:12:16Just whisper, my dad taught me this.
- 1:12:22And he just
- 1:12:26please?
- 1:12:26Yes, absolutely. You do that. I mean, she
- 1:12:29doesn't even have time to respond, obviously, as, uh, you punch
- 1:12:32her in the back, like, square in the center
- 1:12:35of her shoulder blades,
- 1:12:38sending her flying and smashing
- 1:12:41through. This is a strike. No, this
- 1:12:44is Earth Gauntlet.
- 1:12:45This is Earth Gauntlet.
- 1:12:46And then how much does that do?
- 1:12:47Like, uh.
- 1:12:50It says mark, uh, fatigue. I think that's for me.
- 1:12:53Inflict or for you?
- 1:12:54Is that for me?
- 1:12:55M or you?
- 1:12:55The target is dead. She might
- 1:12:58not you would mark a fatigue and then you would inflict
- 1:13:01one condition or two fatigue.
- 1:13:03Walls are softer than ever nowadays.
- 1:13:06Uh, and then you knock your foe out of reach, which you're
- 1:13:09doing.
- 1:13:10So I can inflict one condition or two fatigue.
- 1:13:12Correct.
- 1:13:13I'll inflict two fatigue.
- 1:13:15Okay, sounds good.
- 1:13:16And I guess she is yeah.
- 1:13:18Out of reach.
- 1:13:18She's out of reach at this point. You do get a fatigue doing I
- 1:13:21get a fatigue, yes. Right.
- 1:13:24Um, I'm going to yell her name. While she's
- 1:13:28depicts for me. No, while she's being she
- 1:13:31cried.
- 1:13:34I'm so sorry. I'll get it back for you.
- 1:13:37No, I'm just yelling her name so she knows I'm concerned.
- 1:13:40Okay, we're not getting too invested in this bit.
- 1:13:43All right, so one by one, you guys have basically
- 1:13:46exited people from the battlefields or
- 1:13:49from combat. So currently their leader
- 1:13:52is pretty much on the brink of
- 1:13:55unconscious on the ground. Uh, Chicra
- 1:13:58just got sent through a wall. Who knows where she's at at this
- 1:14:01point? She could have made her way halfway across the Earth kingdom with a
- 1:14:04punch like that. We'll have to find, um
- 1:14:07got. All right, so then you got Berkeley. He's stepping
- 1:14:10up towards Bill to throw a punch
- 1:14:13and all of a sudden these pumpkins come rolling out
- 1:14:16and, uh, really impede him. He is going to
- 1:14:19mark the fatigue in order to do what he wants to do, which of
- 1:14:22course is going to be so Berkeley is marking
- 1:14:25one in order to not be impaired
- 1:14:28by the pumpkins. And then he's marking an additional one for Earth
- 1:14:30Gauntlet. So he's wrapping his arm and fist in
- 1:14:33rock. So basically, as he's walking over, he kind of just leans
- 1:14:36down, touches his knuckles to the ground, and as he does, he
- 1:14:39like, scrapes up some earth, which then wraps around
- 1:14:42his hand. Kicks pumpkins out of the way as he
- 1:14:45goes, squishes them as well. Just kind of
- 1:14:47stomps on them. Again, the guy from the crowd screams.
- 1:14:50No, it's my pumpkins.
- 1:14:52And, uh, walks straight up to Bill and just,
- 1:14:56uh, slams his Earth fist
- 1:14:58down. Uh, so
- 1:15:01you're, uh, going to have to mark two fatigue.
- 1:15:04And he knocks you back into the
- 1:15:06crowd. And bowling style,
- 1:15:09it kind of knocks some people down.
- 1:15:12Do I still?
- 1:15:13You can mark yes.
- 1:15:16So when he punches me, I just.
- 1:15:18Do one final you sort of hit him as
- 1:15:21you're getting knocked backwards, like some martial
- 1:15:23arts movie you've ever seen.
- 1:15:25Where, um, things ah,
- 1:15:28I blocked him enough. That just my block. Dubbed
- 1:15:31damage back to him. So he took
- 1:15:34three fatigue there, all in one go.
- 1:15:36Uh, two. Well, one more from oh, yes, that's right. One more from
- 1:15:39you.
- 1:15:40Uh, Bill goes flying back into
- 1:15:43the crowd. Maybe they catch him. Maybe he lands
- 1:15:46straight into that apple. No, I was imagining the apple candy
- 1:15:48guy was like, kicking the leader on the ground.
- 1:15:53But he goes flying back into the
- 1:15:56crowd and he's kind of like, uh, spiderman. Spiderman
- 1:15:58two.
- 1:15:59Oh, everybody starts lifting you up.
- 1:16:02I'm out of fatigue.
- 1:16:03Oh, okay.
- 1:16:04So you are knocked near the battle.
- 1:16:07All right.
- 1:16:07Earth gauntlet.
- 1:16:12That's right. So Bill sits there
- 1:16:14amidst the crowd. Again, um, I would
- 1:16:17say with his retaliate and everything, he's not unconscious,
- 1:16:20but he's exhausted, he's bruised,
- 1:16:23he's beaten. Um, everybody around you puts
- 1:16:26their hands on you and they say, good job, Bill.
- 1:16:29You did good.
- 1:16:30You stood up for us. Uh, and then they all kind of look
- 1:16:33over at like, Brock because they're, you know, he
- 1:16:36seems like the last guy that could do something to this guy. I
- 1:16:39don't know. Um, so with that being said,
- 1:16:42we're going into another round of exchanges. Uh, the
- 1:16:44only thing left is Berkeley. Obviously standing there in
- 1:16:47the middle of a whole bunch of pumpkins all around him.
- 1:16:50Just
- 1:16:55are you not entertained?
- 1:16:58Um, he's pretty fatigued
- 1:17:01now.
- 1:17:01He is he definitely looks
- 1:17:04exhausted. Um, he's, uh, taken a lot.
- 1:17:06He's a little bit soaked and sticky, um,
- 1:17:09from the juice bomb. Juice bomb
- 1:17:12should make that into a technique. Juice
- 1:17:15bomb. Um, what would everybody like
- 1:17:18to do? Uh, obviously Bill is currently
- 1:17:21kind of outside of the ability for combat right
- 1:17:23now. Um whoa, you just knocked open that
- 1:17:26thing, so you obviously are available. Brock
- 1:17:29is available. Um, Mika is in an
- 1:17:32unsure state, as usual.
- 1:17:35Um, so we'll see where that goes. Chicra is in an
- 1:17:38unknown location and the final
- 1:17:41Wild Coyote board member is just kind of standing there. He looks
- 1:17:44terrified. Uh, it's very possible that he
- 1:17:46is wet himself. Can I
- 1:17:49just like the awkward, can
- 1:17:52you, strong guy. His knees are
- 1:17:55knocking against each other.
- 1:18:00I'm going to evade and observe.
- 1:18:03Okay.
- 1:18:03I will also evade and observe.
- 1:18:05Okay.
- 1:18:05Uh, glow.
- 1:18:07He's going to advance and attack
- 1:18:11everyone.
- 1:18:11Cowards closer.
- 1:18:14So we'll move into the next, uh, combat approach.
- 1:18:18Berkeley, uh, standing there in the middle, is
- 1:18:21simply going to he is going to evade and
- 1:18:23observe, and he is going
- 1:18:26to outside of combat.
- 1:18:32Berkeley turns around and sees that
- 1:18:34Chicra is no longer there.
- 1:18:37And he starts to get concerned. And he
- 1:18:40looks over at Brock and.
- 1:18:42He says, what have you done
- 1:18:45with Chikra? Where is she?
- 1:18:48You see that hole in the wall there, big guy?
- 1:18:51Uh, she went through there.
- 1:18:55And he starts to charge towards
- 1:18:58you. He can't full
- 1:19:00sprint towards you. Uh, but he looks
- 1:19:03furious. Uh, and he's trying to obviously
- 1:19:06dodge pumpkins along the way. It's not an attack at this point.
- 1:19:09Currently, he's just trying to kind of lumbers his way. I
- 1:19:12guess in a sense, it's technically, uh,
- 1:19:14Tasmanian devil. It'd be like a Caesar position.
- 1:19:18So we'll call it Caesar position. He's moving up towards
- 1:19:21you.
- 1:19:22He's trying to engage with it.
- 1:19:23Yes.
- 1:19:24And he's going to try to engage with you. Um,
- 1:19:27he's going to do it cautiously. So, I mean, he's not going to
- 1:19:30gain any kind of benefit by any means, uh, because of the
- 1:19:33fact that the pumpkins are there, is how I'm going to say that. I mean,
- 1:19:36I suppose you have the option to mark a fatigue to stop him
- 1:19:39from doing this, but
- 1:19:42okay.
- 1:19:42All right.
- 1:19:42Sounds good.
- 1:19:43All right.
- 1:19:43And then, uh, was anybody doing an advance? Guo
- 1:19:46was doing an advance in attack. So what are you up to? Since that would
- 1:19:49be next in line.
- 1:19:52We got our evade in the serves, right?
- 1:19:53Yep.
- 1:19:54And that'll be
- 1:19:57so at Berkeley's.
- 1:19:58Head towards Brock now.
- 1:19:59Yes.
- 1:20:00Uh, well, GWOs he's like
- 1:20:03Bill. No, uh,
- 1:20:07he's going to pull out his pouch of
- 1:20:09stones.
- 1:20:14The stone pouch.
- 1:20:15The stone pouch.
- 1:20:16There it is. Angry.
- 1:20:20He's, uh, going to
- 1:20:23throw the stones up in the air, like opening
- 1:20:25the pouch. And then he's like
- 1:20:29he's going to try to hit Berkeley with these stones.
- 1:20:32Okay.
- 1:20:32Stone ball. Like a strike.
- 1:20:33It's like a BB gun.
- 1:20:35Yeah, BB gun.
- 1:20:39So you pull stones out of there, you
- 1:20:42throw them into the air, and then you just
- 1:20:46kind of, like, strike them. And
- 1:20:50they kind of go flying past berkeley
- 1:20:53missing, except for one, which flies
- 1:20:55over and donks him right in the back of the
- 1:20:58head. He goes and
- 1:21:01just like in the story of David and Goliath, which is
- 1:21:04ironic because Dave
- 1:21:07and then this Goliath, uh, he goes
- 1:21:13and he just tips over forward, falls to his
- 1:21:15knees, and then falls to the ground. And with
- 1:21:18that, Berkeley is down. And
- 1:21:21to top it off, well, technically, he would mark a condition, but I'm
- 1:21:24going to say that yeah, it's the fatigue for those
- 1:21:27doing evade and observe. What would you like
- 1:21:30to do at this point?
- 1:21:31I know I've kind of I know exactly what I'm going to do.
- 1:21:33Okay, what are you going to do?
- 1:21:34So I'm observing situation. I see Bill's over
- 1:21:37there down for the count.
- 1:21:38Basically, yeah.
- 1:21:40I am going to use
- 1:21:43refresh.
- 1:21:44Oh, okay.
- 1:21:46Which, um, means I apply water to reinvigorate and
- 1:21:49close wounds on a willing target mark. Um,
- 1:21:52fatigue to heal an alley and reach who is evading and
- 1:21:54observing, clear an appropriate status from them, and
- 1:21:57clear three fatigue or two.
- 1:21:59Wow. Okay.
- 1:22:00So this is
- 1:22:03your moment, I guess. You rush back over to
- 1:22:06Bill's side, and at first, the people are really
- 1:22:09hesitant to let you in because they're.
- 1:22:11No, no, you stay away from him.
- 1:22:14He's a hero. And then you're like, no, I'm here to heal
- 1:22:17him. And so you pull out some water, some
- 1:22:19normal.
- 1:22:21Yes.
- 1:22:21Oh, that's true.
- 1:22:22That's true.
- 1:22:22To see if I can even do it.
- 1:22:24That is true.
- 1:22:25Nice. Okay.
- 1:22:26So, yeah, it's a success. So, um, Bill, I assume,
- 1:22:29is probably like, no, it's fine. She's my friend. Let her through.
- 1:22:32I currently am not.
- 1:22:39You rush over to your friend's side and you
- 1:22:42start applying the water to heal
- 1:22:45Bill. You start to come to, and
- 1:22:48you look up, and there's a whole bunch of people standing around
- 1:22:50you.
- 1:22:51Ah.
- 1:22:51And you look over and you see Mika is, uh,
- 1:22:54applying water to your wounds. And you start to feel they kind
- 1:22:57of heal and they feel refreshed. And it feels pretty good. It feels
- 1:23:00pretty good. And you start to feel like a lot more
- 1:23:03back up on your feet, almost. Um, with
- 1:23:06that, who else was doing Invade and Observe?
- 1:23:08I was.
- 1:23:09But if there's only the little guy can
- 1:23:12intimidate work and Invade and observe, or is that another
- 1:23:14action?
- 1:23:15Uh, we'll intimidate fallouts out of
- 1:23:18combat. So you can definitely do it. I mean,
- 1:23:20if you're not engaged with anybody right now yeah. You can just intimidate
- 1:23:23him.
- 1:23:24Yeah, why not?
- 1:23:25All right, sounds good. Um, so that will be a passion,
- 1:23:28so feel free to roll for it.
- 1:23:31Passion.
- 1:23:32Just passion.
- 1:23:33Yes.
- 1:23:36Uh, seven.
- 1:23:37Nice.
- 1:23:37All right, so, uh, on a
- 1:23:41hit, you get to choose one of those options.
- 1:23:44They run to escape or get back up. They back down. Pick
- 1:23:46one. Oh, that's right.
- 1:23:49Uh, they give in with a few stipulations or they attack you, but off
- 1:23:52balance.
- 1:23:53Um, wait, sorry, where was so you.
- 1:23:55Get to pick one.
- 1:23:56They don't pick one. They don't choose.
- 1:23:58Correct.
- 1:23:59I will say they can't run
- 1:24:02and get back up.
- 1:24:03Okay, sounds good.
- 1:24:06Um,
- 1:24:11without marking up a teeth, can.
- 1:24:12I just wrap another Earth gauntlet around my arm?
- 1:24:15You want next, bud?
- 1:24:20So he can't run and escape to get back.
- 1:24:22Hey, guess what?
- 1:24:23Mika's got a lot for water bending now with this guy
- 1:24:26just peeing all over himself.
- 1:24:30Water this is what he does. He
- 1:24:33decides to, uh, give in, but with a few
- 1:24:36stipulations, he says.
- 1:24:37Okay, all right, uh,
- 1:24:40look, we'll call off the money this time
- 1:24:43around, and, uh, for future payments,
- 1:24:46half, uh, price. How's that
- 1:24:49sound? Everybody?
- 1:24:50How about can you even make those demands?
- 1:24:53Yeah, you're not making demands here, but
- 1:24:56how about you return the
- 1:24:58money and you don't come back to this place
- 1:25:01again? How about that?
- 1:25:02Uh, um what if I don't have the
- 1:25:05money?
- 1:25:06Uh, can I wrap another earthcott, like, around my leg?
- 1:25:10Do you want to walk back to your hideout? Or you can fly.
- 1:25:13Please, please.
- 1:25:16I don't have the money now, but, uh, I'll find a way to get it.
- 1:25:19I'll return the money to everybody, I swear. Please don't hurt
- 1:25:22me.
- 1:25:23Kind of like turn around and ask
- 1:25:26if can we get anything else out of this guy?
- 1:25:30Everybody's?
- 1:25:30Like, maybe I don't know. I
- 1:25:33mean, I could deal with my money back. That'd be
- 1:25:36dope.
- 1:25:37Return everyone's money.
- 1:25:39Return everybody's money.
- 1:25:41That's so much money.
- 1:25:42Yes, it is.
- 1:25:43And buy all this guy's pumpkins, and.
- 1:25:46The guy's like, hell yeah. Does that mean
- 1:25:49the broken ones on the ground, too?
- 1:25:51Every pumpkin and every piece of
- 1:25:54produce that was thrown at you guys,
- 1:25:57you're paying for.
- 1:25:59Okay, all right, fine.
- 1:26:01Uh, you have 24 hours.
- 1:26:0324 hours?
- 1:26:07Look, please be merciful. I swear
- 1:26:09I'll get you your money. It might take more than 24 hours.
- 1:26:12So I've really got to steal from my parents?
- 1:26:16That ain't going to work if it's going to take more than 24
- 1:26:19hours.
- 1:26:20Steal from pensioning, mother.
- 1:26:22That's right. Oh, God. All right.
- 1:26:23Best we can do is two days to return
- 1:26:26all the money you took from us and to
- 1:26:29never come back. To never come back. And to pay for
- 1:26:32that guy's pumpkins.
- 1:26:34You can always try for hot leaf juice in Capital City.
- 1:26:37No, uh, as far as you guys know.
- 1:26:41Please, I'm just a kid. I live here in town with
- 1:26:44my family.
- 1:26:45We're all kids. This dude with the pumpkins is only
- 1:26:4714.
- 1:26:48Are you 14?
- 1:26:49Yes.
- 1:26:51You're talking to Glow.
- 1:26:52Yeah, this dude over here is only.
- 1:26:5314 because the guy with the pumpkin.
- 1:26:55Stall, he's like, I'm 38. What are you talking
- 1:26:58about?
- 1:27:00Yeah, we're only, like,
- 1:27:021416 and 17,
- 1:27:04bro.
- 1:27:05Look, okay, I tell you what. I'll get everybody
- 1:27:08their money, and I'll pay everybody for the produce, and
- 1:27:11we'll disband. We'll disband. I can't promise I can leave
- 1:27:14town. Like I said, I live with my parents,
- 1:27:17but, uh, we'll drop the gang.
- 1:27:19Or at least I'll drop the gang. I can guarantee that
- 1:27:22much.
- 1:27:23Fair enough.
- 1:27:24Fair enough.
- 1:27:25Okay.
- 1:27:27And he just, like, runs off down the
- 1:27:29street somewhere. All right, you
- 1:27:32guys did it. You guys defeated the Wild Coyote
- 1:27:35Boars. As far as you know, they will be disbanded. And
- 1:27:38they are supposed to be getting you your money back,
- 1:27:41obviously. Uh, you see, um,
- 1:27:44uh, their leader is still kind of laying there unconscious. Berkeley
- 1:27:47is still laying there unconscious. Chica,
- 1:27:49somebody might go check the building and see if
- 1:27:52she's laying inside the building.
- 1:27:55So Bill rises up from the
- 1:27:57crowd and with his staff,
- 1:28:00he starts, like, walking, using it as a weight, and he just
- 1:28:03walks over to the leader, grabs him by the back
- 1:28:06of his collar, and then just starts dragging him
- 1:28:09down the road as he hobbles his way to the
- 1:28:12gathered all the way there.
- 1:28:14Okay, well, the guards actually, uh, they come out
- 1:28:17and they're on their way over there, so you don't have to go far. If you want to just,
- 1:28:20like, toss him in front of one of the.
- 1:28:21When the guards show up, he just takes it.
- 1:28:23He just, like, throws in, tosses right.
- 1:28:24In front of them.
- 1:28:25All right.
- 1:28:25Does he say anything?
- 1:28:27Uh, take this filth and
- 1:28:29put him in the dungeon or whatever you guys have.
- 1:28:32We've got some earth kingdom, uh, uh, uh,
- 1:28:35cages that we usually keep prisoners in. Great, uh,
- 1:28:38work from bringing down the wild cardi bores. Although
- 1:28:41public violence, uh, is usually not something that we
- 1:28:44support. But, I mean, it looks
- 1:28:47like okay.
- 1:28:49When he started talking about this democratically.
- 1:28:52It sure looks like the people of the city supported this, so who are
- 1:28:55we to stand in the way? Um,
- 1:28:57and so, uh, they start hauling, uh, the
- 1:29:00leader away. It takes, like, four or five guards and
- 1:29:03probably, like, a cart or something to haul Berkeley
- 1:29:05away. Um, one of them goes to mules.
- 1:29:08I could come after him, like, wait, he stole my
- 1:29:11wallet.
- 1:29:14Sorry, sir, what is this?
- 1:29:16He stole my wallet.
- 1:29:18Oh. He pats the guy down. He
- 1:29:21finds a wallet in there, and he's like is this your wallet?
- 1:29:23Yes, that's the one.
- 1:29:24All right, here you go.
- 1:29:25And he hands it to you. And
- 1:29:28you see, uh, a couple of guards, they go
- 1:29:31through the hole in the wall of that building, and
- 1:29:34they find Chica in there. She's not, like, unconscious.
- 1:29:38Oh, yeah. She's just gone. She's not even in there. They don't find
- 1:29:40anything.
- 1:29:41Disintegrated.
- 1:29:42Oh, gosh.
- 1:29:44Presumably, she escaped. Um, and
- 1:29:46then obviously, the guy that you guys
- 1:29:49wouldn't know, but his name is Squeegee, um, is
- 1:29:52gone, um, from
- 1:29:55the area I digress. Anyway, there you go.
- 1:29:58Uh, that's where things are at. What's your next
- 1:30:01move?
- 1:30:01Uh, Guo takes he checks and sees
- 1:30:04if there's any money in it.
- 1:30:05Oh, yeah. Uh, we'll say 50.
- 1:30:08You want, uh, he goes over to the
- 1:30:11pumpkin cart.
- 1:30:13Hey, sorry, uh, about your pumpkin.
- 1:30:16Hey, you got the job done, and they're going to
- 1:30:19pay me for the pumpkin. So I'll pick up the ones
- 1:30:22that.
- 1:30:22Were, uh, not broken, and, uh,
- 1:30:25I.
- 1:30:26Guess I'm a little unsure. Do I deliver them to the guy.
- 1:30:28Or I'll just wait for him to.
- 1:30:30Come pick him up?
- 1:30:30I guess he I'm not sure if.
- 1:30:32We'Re going to see. Those guys again. Uh,
- 1:30:35this is for the Smash Pumpkins.
- 1:30:37I give him whatever wood color his eyes
- 1:30:40bulge out of his head when he sees 50 yuan. He's like, oh, my
- 1:30:43gosh, this is.
- 1:30:44More than I usually see in a day. Unless it's Halloween season.
- 1:30:47Or wait, what would they have in, like, Avatar, like,
- 1:30:50the evil soul season or evil
- 1:30:53spirit? There we go. Evil spirit season.
- 1:30:56Ah, he seems pretty happy.
- 1:30:58Uh, you go over to the building
- 1:31:01that had a hole punched through it. It's, uh, the guy
- 1:31:04that sold you the squids place. And he's
- 1:31:07like, oh, man.
- 1:31:08Uh.
- 1:31:11Maybe I could do like an indoor outdoor kind of a
- 1:31:14feel, like, uh, you kind of sit inside.
- 1:31:17We get a nice cross breeze.
- 1:31:18Maybe I could do like that.
- 1:31:20Or, um, I'll figure this one
- 1:31:22out, I guess.
- 1:31:28Nice.
- 1:31:29Just sick, bro.
- 1:31:31Can I talk to the guys? Be like sick, bro. And then just
- 1:31:34because I have one fatigue left, just flump over and
- 1:31:37fall.
- 1:31:38Yeah. He's like, oh, bro,
- 1:31:42wake up, bro. This is going to look really bad on my end
- 1:31:45if you just pass out in front of my shop. Make it look like my sushi's not
- 1:31:48good.
- 1:31:50Brock's asleep. He's fast asleep.
- 1:31:52Chillin. Or I'll just sort of half asleep,
- 1:31:55sort of drag my body.
- 1:31:58Brock's sleeping on the road is no different than this rock
- 1:32:01bed he gets back.
- 1:32:02That's true. That is true.
- 1:32:03It's like the comfiest like an Egyptian king
- 1:32:05mattress to him.
- 1:32:07There you go.
- 1:32:08All right, glow, uh, skin and go over to
- 1:32:11Bill. He's going to go, that's some solid work, Bill.
- 1:32:14How are you feeling?
- 1:32:17Sore.
- 1:32:18Um, but I don't know. Mika put the weird water
- 1:32:21stuff on me and I kind of feel better now. I still.
- 1:32:27Mika'S got the sauce. That good
- 1:32:30sauce.
- 1:32:30Has anybody seen Mr. O?
- 1:32:32I was going to go check on him real quick.
- 1:32:35Uh, are you with them?
- 1:32:38To some extent, yeah.
- 1:32:39They'll just, like, kick me awake and.
- 1:32:41Just you think, okay. And I'm
- 1:32:44with them as yeah.
- 1:32:45Okay.
- 1:32:46Sounds good. All right. Okay, so, Bill, go ahead and
- 1:32:49lead us.
- 1:32:49I'll help pick up Rock and then lead him inside
- 1:32:52with over, like he's on my shoulder.
- 1:32:54Okay.
- 1:32:55And then I guess we all head inside.
- 1:32:57All right. As you guys, uh, step inside
- 1:33:00of the shop, you're, um, a bit surprised. So nobody else
- 1:33:03is in there at the moment. Um, but you notice
- 1:33:06that the inside of the shop is very
- 1:33:08disheveled. Um, there's tables,
- 1:33:11chairs scattered around the room.
- 1:33:14Broken, not broken. Um,
- 1:33:18the register that you guys normally would keep your money
- 1:33:21and such in is smashed, uh,
- 1:33:23up and there's
- 1:33:26cups on the floor that are shattered. It's just a mess
- 1:33:29in there.
- 1:33:30Hot leaf juice calling it.
- 1:33:34Bill is going to immediately m trot.
- 1:33:35Brock and go rush her into the.
- 1:33:37Back to look for Mr. O'grott.
- 1:33:39You don't get very far
- 1:33:41as, uh, you hear a moaning from behind a table
- 1:33:44that's been like slammed up against the wall kind of at
- 1:33:47an angle so that there's like a
- 1:33:50talk about.
- 1:33:51And I go behind and see.
- 1:33:52Okay, you pull the table out of the way and
- 1:33:55behind the table you see Mr.
- 1:33:58Okran lying on the ground
- 1:34:01and he has a dagger protruding
- 1:34:04from.
- 1:34:04His back who stabbed him in the VAT. A poor,
- 1:34:07defensive old man.
- 1:34:09And he looks up and he says,
- 1:34:12bill, take
- 1:34:14care of the shop.
- 1:34:17And lets out a last deep
- 1:34:20breath. Dies.
- 1:34:22What?
- 1:34:23No.
- 1:34:24And with that, we will leave that
- 1:34:27at a massive cliffhanger to lead us
- 1:34:30into season two.
- 1:34:32And I'm going to have some real daddy issues.
