- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Kate Torver. I'm Amy Torver.
- 0:11Speaker 2: And I'm Sophie Torver.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And coming up on today's show, Tommy Fury allegedly kicked
- 0:16Speaker 1: out of a Halloween event for intimidating staff.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And Sam Guggenheimer's breakup backflip.
- 0:22Speaker 1: But first, former colleagues of disgraced Bachelor star Sam Wood
- 0:26Speaker 1: have come forward labelling the entrepreneur as a top-grade narcissist
- 0:31Speaker 1: who was obsessed with cultivating a wholesome image. The explosive
- 0:35Speaker 1: claims published by the Herald Sun come weeks after the
- 0:38Speaker 1: personal trainer was charged with domestic violence offences against his wife. Now, Kate,
- 0:43Speaker 1: before we dive into the new revelations, can you bring
- 0:45Speaker 1: listeners up to speed with the case? Yeah, so it
- 0:48Speaker 1: was only a couple of weeks ago that Sam Wood
- 0:49Speaker 1: was charged with assaulting and strangling his wife, Snezana Wood,
- 0:53Speaker 1: on a family holiday in Noosa. Now, police allege that
- 0:56Speaker 1: Snez thought that she was going to die during the
- 0:59Speaker 1: alleged incident. Sam has denied the charges and is preparing
- 1:03Speaker 1: to fight them in court. His bail application was refused
- 1:06Speaker 1: and he has spent the last 20 days behind bars. Now,
- 1:10Speaker 1: as we touched on, the Herald Sun published an explosive
- 1:13Speaker 1: article where colleagues branded Sam Wood a top grade narcissist. Now,
- 1:17Speaker 1: these claims have come from a number of insiders who
- 1:20Speaker 1: say they worked alongside Sam at his business 28. Some
- 1:24Speaker 1: have even been described as business partners. The insiders chose
- 1:28Speaker 1: to remain anonymous and the journalist pointed out that this
- 1:31Speaker 1: is because many of the 28 employees have been prevented
- 1:34Speaker 1: from speaking publicly on the matter due to very strict
- 1:37Speaker 1: NDAs and confidentiality agreements. Despite the barriers in place, these
- 1:42Speaker 1: insiders didn't hold back. The opening line of the article
- 1:46Speaker 1: teased that the stories about Sam Wood would make your
- 1:49Speaker 1: hair stand on end. One insider claimed employees of 28
- 1:53Speaker 1: were always in damage control and They said they were
- 1:56Speaker 1: putting out fires all the time and that it was
- 1:58Speaker 1: only a matter of time before the barbells came crashing
- 2:02Speaker 1: to the ground. The insider was quoted as saying he's
- 2:05Speaker 1: a top grade narcissist and he was obsessed with cultivating
- 2:09Speaker 1: a wholesome Tassie boy meet single mom image. He's got
- 2:12Speaker 1: the gift of the gab and can be so charismatic.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Another former colleague claimed that on one occasion, Sam Wood
- 2:18Speaker 1: trashed his office after learning he had not been invited
- 2:22Speaker 1: to a social event. The source told the Herald Sun
- 2:25Speaker 1: if people reported he had a terrible anger problem, they
- 2:28Speaker 1: would be correct. If they reported he was a bully
- 2:30Speaker 1: who was obsessed with money, reputation and fame, they would
- 2:34Speaker 1: also be correct. His obsession with money is at a
- 2:37Speaker 1: level I've never seen before. Another insider labelled him a
- 2:41Speaker 1: narrative guy and a calculated character, alleging once Bachelor filming
- 2:45Speaker 1: wrapped up, Sam was already conjuring up how wonderful the
- 2:49Speaker 1: storyline would sound of him falling in love with a
- 2:51Speaker 1: single mum. Obviously, these are allegations at this point that
- 2:54Speaker 1: have not been proven, but they don't paint a very
- 2:58Speaker 1: flattering image, do they? I wonder how many of these
- 3:01Speaker 1: rumours were circulating Melbourne before the alleged incident. That would
- 3:05Speaker 1: be interesting to know. Or whether these people have been
- 3:07Speaker 1: sitting on them waiting for a moment like this to happen. Now,
- 3:10Speaker 1: the insider also lifted the lid on Sam's much-publicised $ 71
- 3:13Speaker 1: million payday. Now, that was when he sold 28 to
- 3:18Speaker 1: DBG Health. The former colleague alleges it was more spin
- 3:21Speaker 1: than substance and that Sam was believed to have pocketed
- 3:24Speaker 1: only $ 15 million in the deal. Now, when I say only,
- 3:27Speaker 1: clearly $ 15 million is a huge amount of money, but
- 3:31Speaker 1: when you're being touted as having $ 71 million, it is
- 3:34Speaker 1: a fraction of that. Well, the reason why this payday
- 3:37Speaker 1: was so much smaller is because the insider says that
- 3:39Speaker 1: at the time, Sam allegedly only owned half of the business.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You often see these figures thrown around in the media
- 3:45Speaker 1: because And they're sometimes not accurate. Like there are some
- 3:49Speaker 1: rich lists, for example, where you don't have to provide
- 3:52Speaker 1: any actual evidence of what you earn. And a lot
- 3:54Speaker 1: of the time, these influencers or business people will use
- 3:58Speaker 1: them as a bit of a branding exercise.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Or as PR spin, isn't it, at the end of
- 4:01Speaker 2: the day?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Well, we've seen that recently play out with Tammy Hembrough.
- 4:04Speaker 1: She's been touted as having a fortune of over $ 50 million.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But then, you know, she's publicly shut down her business.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And she's had to come out and say, actually, I'm
- 4:12Speaker 1: not poor. She's selling a house as well. So there's
- 4:15Speaker 1: a lot of question marks around what her fortune actually is.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So it does make you question how valid are these
- 4:21Speaker 1: rich lists? Well, the insider also alleges that Sam quickly
- 4:25Speaker 1: churned through most of the payout buying properties and flashy
- 4:28Speaker 1: cars in the expectation that there were going to be
- 4:30Speaker 1: many more future installments. Obviously, we have since learned that
- 4:34Speaker 1: DGH Health ended its commercial business arrangement effective immediately with
- 4:38Speaker 1: Sam in the aftermath of these domestic violence charges is
- 4:42Speaker 1: predicted that he instantly lost tens of millions of dollars.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of people saying, can SNES take
- 4:47Speaker 1: over as the face of 28? I think that would
- 4:50Speaker 1: be the smartest move. How many people would get behind it?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Only if he's not getting any future installments with her being.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The face of it. Well, they've cut all ties with him.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Would she even really want to be connected to his
- 4:59Speaker 1: old business? She really wants nothing to do with him.
- 5:01Speaker 1: For the people who own 28, I think it's the
- 5:03Speaker 1: only way of saving the brand. I mean, they've had
- 5:05Speaker 1: to take down The woodshed, you know, he has that gym.
- 5:08Speaker 1: They've had to take down the sign because they were
- 5:11Speaker 1: getting so much hate over it. I actually think it
- 5:13Speaker 1: would be a terrible move for her to become the
- 5:15Speaker 1: face of it. Firstly, as Sophie touched on, why would
- 5:18Speaker 1: she want to take over his business? And secondly, it
- 5:21Speaker 1: doesn't really pivot the reputational damage that's happened to the business.
- 5:25Speaker 1: If anything, it reminds everyone of what's happened. I just
- 5:27Speaker 1: think it's a sinking ship at this point. Well, things
- 5:29Speaker 1: just keep crumbling for Sam Wood. Last week, the couple's
- 5:32Speaker 1: Brighton mansion was put on the market. Now, they purchased
- 5:36Speaker 1: the home for $ 7. 15 million last September. It's now been
- 5:40Speaker 1: listed for $ 1 million below what they paid.
- 5:43Speaker 2: This has, of course, sparked a lot of speculation.
- 5:46Speaker 1: People are saying the Woods are selling their home because
- 5:47Speaker 1: they've gone broke after Sam's been let go by 28.
- 5:51Speaker 1: But Domain have actually confirmed that this campaign was prepared
- 5:54Speaker 1: before Sam's arrest. So they were just days away from
- 5:57Speaker 1: listing this home before news broke of the domestic violence charges.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Domain claim that the reason why the Woods are actually
- 6:04Speaker 1: selling this home is because they purchased another luxury property nearby.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Talk about terrible timing for this campaign. It'll be interesting
- 6:11Speaker 1: to see what the property sells for. Now, last week,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Sam was moved to the notorious high security prison at
- 6:17Speaker 1: Walston Correctional Center in Brisbane's West. Now, this prison specifically
- 6:22Speaker 1: houses high profile inmates who basically are a target in
- 6:26Speaker 1: a normal jail. It's been reported that he is under
- 6:29Speaker 1: a safety order and subject to frequent checks.
- 6:33Speaker 4: And I'm now questioning if I've made the right decision
- 6:35Speaker 4: to stay in Sydney.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Late last week, Sam Guggenheimer announced she'd broken up with
- 6:40Speaker 1: her DJ boyfriend, Ryan Maloney, only to take him back
- 6:44Speaker 1: days later. Now, before we get into the latest drama, Kate,
- 6:47Speaker 1: can you bring this up to speed on who Ryan is? Yeah,
- 6:50Speaker 1: so for any millennials, it's not Toadfish Rebecca from Neighbours.
- 6:54Speaker 1: He actually is the son of mega wealthy pub magnate
- 6:57Speaker 1: Kim Maloney and Sydney socialite Di Maloney. Now, when he's
- 7:01Speaker 1: not partying, he's DJing at his mum's Point Piper mansion
- 7:04Speaker 1: and her plaza hotel.
- 7:06Speaker 2: So he's a rich boy, basically.
- 7:08Speaker 1: A very rich boy. He drives around in a black Lamborghini.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He's got blonde hair. He kind of has that Bailey
- 7:13Speaker 1: Smith look about him. He sounds like a walking red flag. Well,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it kind of just sounds like Sam Guggenheimer's type, though. Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And which is why everyone was quite shocked because they
- 7:20Speaker 1: only hard launched their relationship a couple of months ago
- 7:23Speaker 1: when they were holidaying in the Maldives. And just a
- 7:26Speaker 1: week or two ago, they were house hunting. So Sam
- 7:29Speaker 1: documented the process on her TikTok and they appeared very
- 7:32Speaker 1: much together as they checked out high-end apartments in Sydney's east. However,
- 7:37Speaker 1: less than a week later, when Sam told her followers
- 7:40Speaker 1: that her rental application had been approved, she then dropped
- 7:43Speaker 1: that she was now moving in with her friend and
- 7:45Speaker 1: her friend's boyfriend. Now, a follower ended up asking why
- 7:49Speaker 1: she didn't get a spot with her boyfriend, to which
- 7:50Speaker 1: she responded, because I don't have a boyfriend anymore. So
- 7:54Speaker 1: whatever happened, happened very abruptly. Maybe they disagreed about what
- 7:58Speaker 1: apartment they wanted to rent. Oh, moving in with a
- 8:00Speaker 1: partner always causes a lot of problems, especially if you
- 8:03Speaker 1: don't agree with the interior design. They hadn't even got
- 8:05Speaker 1: to the point of moving in. Sam has been sharing
- 8:08Speaker 1: a bunch of unboxing videos, and I felt really sorry
- 8:11Speaker 1: for her because she broke down in the middle of
- 8:14Speaker 1: this kitchen hall. and started questioning her decision to remain
- 8:18Speaker 1: in Sydney because she moved from Melbourne to Sydney to
- 8:21Speaker 1: be with Ryan and she's now just locked herself into
- 8:23Speaker 1: this apartment. Let's take a listen to more of what
- 8:25Speaker 1: she said. There's a lot going on and I'm just.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Really missing home.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And I'm now questioning if I've made the right decision
- 8:38Speaker 1: to stay in Sydney.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just going through.
- 8:45Speaker 3: A lot this year um.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But it should be something really exciting and I am
- 8:54Speaker 1: excited I just need to go to bed and get
- 8:58Speaker 1: it through and I will get through it this is
- 9:03Speaker 1: why you never move for a man I'm just putting
- 9:05Speaker 1: it out there for any gents that is listening I
- 9:07Speaker 1: mean She's made some cryptic posts since confirming this breakup too,
- 9:11Speaker 1: as a lot of girls do. She reshared a TikTok
- 9:13Speaker 1: that said, one day I didn't beg, I didn't fight.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I just looked at the mess I was in and thought,
- 9:18Speaker 1: this isn't love. And that was the day I chose myself.
- 9:21Speaker 1: She also reposted another video that said, I was crying
- 9:25Speaker 1: and he turned away and fell asleep.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I love that this is the new thing now.
- 9:28Speaker 1: If anyone breaks up, you have to look at their
- 9:30Speaker 1: reshares on TikTok and also on Instagram.
- 9:32Speaker 2: It's like a little diary.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the Gen Z version of putting up
- 9:36Speaker 1: a millennial quote when you'd broken up. It's so funny
- 9:38Speaker 1: clearing out your phone. I went way back and I
- 9:41Speaker 1: saw all these really embarrassing quotes that I'd saved. I
- 9:43Speaker 1: didn't even post them on Instagram, but I had just
- 9:45Speaker 1: saved kind of make sure people knew what I was
- 9:48Speaker 1: thinking in these exact moments. I'm like, how embarrassing. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: can't imagine how awkward it must have been when Sam
- 9:53Speaker 1: finally agreed to take this guy back. Because as you
- 9:56Speaker 1: mentioned at the start, days later, Sam did a complete backflip.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And uploaded a reel that was captioned, made a lapse
- 10:05Speaker 1: of judgment in my comment section. Now someone commented underneath
- 10:09Speaker 1: the video, you look great. Your boyfriend, I bet, is proud.
- 10:12Speaker 1: To which she replied, he is. I wonder if she
- 10:15Speaker 1: had to go and quickly delete the reshares on TikTok. Well,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I had a look back and the video of her
- 10:19Speaker 1: crying over the kitchen hall is still there. Maybe it's
- 10:22Speaker 1: getting a lot of views and engagement.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It's left up as a warning.
- 10:27Speaker 1: What makes this even more awkward is there's clearly a
- 10:29Speaker 1: lot going on in Ryan's life. So the reason he
- 10:32Speaker 1: was house hunting in the first place is because the
- 10:34Speaker 1: apartment he was living in had to be sold. Now,
- 10:37Speaker 1: that apartment was owned by his mom, Di. Now, she
- 10:41Speaker 1: made headlines when she purchased the apartment block for $ 29. 2 million.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So it wasn't just an apartment. It was the whole block.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Now, the whole plan was for her to develop these
- 10:52Speaker 1: into luxury apartments for her children. However, three weeks ago,
- 10:56Speaker 1: the block was sold in a forced sale. As creditors
- 10:59Speaker 1: are trying to recoup money from her.
- 11:01Speaker 2: We've turned into a real estate podcast.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It was sold for almost $ 9 million less than what
- 11:06Speaker 1: Di paid for it. And that is because despite the
- 11:10Speaker 1: family portraying this life of luxury on socials, this year
- 11:13Speaker 1: Di has been embroiled in major financial and legal disputes
- 11:17Speaker 1: tied to her property and also hotel ventures. Now, she
- 11:20Speaker 1: came out earlier this year and denied the claims, but
- 11:23Speaker 1: recently the company that her properties are held within went
- 11:27Speaker 1: into external administration and her hotel that Ryan DJs at
- 11:31Speaker 1: has been listed for sale under receiver's control.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Where's he going to DJ at now? Is someone going
- 11:36Speaker 2: to throw him a bone?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Well, you'll be happy to know that despite all these
- 11:39Speaker 1: financial troubles being made public, he actually held a very
- 11:43Speaker 1: lavish party at his mum's Point Piper mansion earlier this month. Now,
- 11:47Speaker 1: he promoted the party and dubbed it Rush. And it's
- 11:51Speaker 1: been reported that that party cost $ 200, 000. This is why
- 11:55Speaker 1: her properties are being recouped because it sounds like the
- 11:57Speaker 1: family is spending money like it's going out of fashion
- 11:59Speaker 1: money that they don't seem to have. Yeah, but you've
- 12:01Speaker 1: also got to remember she wouldn't be spending company money.
- 12:04Speaker 1: That would be her private money that she spent on
- 12:06Speaker 1: the party. I love the mention of Point Piper because
- 12:08Speaker 1: the only time I've really heard of this suburb because
- 12:10Speaker 1: I don't live in Sydney is when it was mentioned
- 12:12Speaker 1: on Lux Listing. Like anytime there was a house in
- 12:14Speaker 1: Point Piper, it was like, $ 20 million. Plot twist. Do
- 12:17Speaker 1: we reckon that something went down at this party to
- 12:20Speaker 1: have caused the breakup? Well, it's funny you say that
- 12:22Speaker 1: because Di Maloney is actually infamous in that area. She's
- 12:26Speaker 1: known as the point piper party queen. So it's not
- 12:29Speaker 1: unusual for big parties like this to be held at
- 12:31Speaker 1: her house. What's pretty funny is everyone's saying, oh, maybe
- 12:34Speaker 1: this is the last party that's going to be held
- 12:36Speaker 1: at this mansion because there are reports that she's going
- 12:39Speaker 1: to have to sell her home in order to discharge
- 12:41Speaker 1: some mortgages. However, According to Ryan, there are more parties
- 12:45Speaker 1: to come and more performances. He ended up putting up
- 12:48Speaker 1: a post saying, like, more coming. Do you reckon he's
- 12:50Speaker 1: any good at DJing or is it kind of that thing, like,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know, where the person's crap and the parent's like, yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 1: you can DJ. I'm getting the Chris Lilley character, the
- 12:58Speaker 1: real estate agent DJing. Oh, yeah, throwing, like, pavlovas at everyone.
- 13:02Speaker 1: What's made all of this even more awkward is the
- 13:04Speaker 1: fact that Ryan's sister, who fancies herself as a bit
- 13:08Speaker 1: of an influencer, has been posting TikToks about what she's
- 13:11Speaker 1: been eating in first class.
- 13:13Speaker 2: So it's all coming across as very awkward. So another
- 13:17Speaker 2: plot twist. Do we reckon that Sam dumped them because
- 13:20Speaker 2: she thought he was going to be poor?
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe they were checking out like shit apartments in Sydney. No,
- 13:25Speaker 1: they weren't. The apartment that she's got is epic. Like
- 13:29Speaker 1: it would be so expensive.
- 13:31Speaker 4: First, Molly May attacking a scare actor with her windshield wipers,
- 13:34Speaker 4: and now Tommy Fury's calling one a fucking prick.
- 13:35Speaker 3: What's next?
- 13:36Speaker 1: Bambi's going to be biting him next year. Molly May's fiance,
- 13:40Speaker 1: Tommy Fury, has made headlines after allegedly being kicked out
- 13:43Speaker 1: of a Halloween event over claims he intimidated young scare actors.
- 13:49Speaker 1: One female actor has since spoken out, claiming she was
- 13:51Speaker 1: left terrified following an encounter with the boxer who who
- 13:55Speaker 1: she believed was intoxicated. I love how this story has
- 13:59Speaker 1: introduced this new genre of actors. I'd never heard of
- 14:03Speaker 1: a scare actor before. I think it's quite common in
- 14:05Speaker 1: the US and also in the UK because Halloween is
- 14:08Speaker 1: so much bigger.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Now, Soph, how did this all unfold?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well, on October 10th, Tommy and his friends attended
- 14:15Speaker 1: a Halloween event in Manchester called Scare City. And Molly
- 14:19Speaker 1: Mae Stans, like me, will know that this couple loves Halloween.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It's their favourite time of year. They always get around it.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They have professional decorators come in and do a Halloween
- 14:28Speaker 1: display in their front yard. They have movie marathons in
- 14:31Speaker 1: the lead up. But this time, Tommy did not attend
- 14:34Speaker 1: the event with Molly. He chose to go with a
- 14:36Speaker 1: big group of male friends. Well, Molly was probably too
- 14:38Speaker 1: busy looking after their two children.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Or playing the cello, maybe.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Now, the event was held at a theme
- 14:44Speaker 1: park and it had a horror trowel that guests could
- 14:47Speaker 1: walk through with different sets and live actors. It's being
- 14:50Speaker 1: reported that Tommy was given free tickets to attend the event.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I suppose there's a bit of contra deal to post
- 14:55Speaker 1: about it. Before the event, it's being alleged that management
- 14:58Speaker 1: was warned that he might be a bit of a handful.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I wonder if this company is pleased by all of
- 15:02Speaker 1: the publicity that's come out now, because over the weekend,
- 15:07Speaker 1: news broke that Tommy Fury had allegedly been kicked out
- 15:10Speaker 1: of this event after being accused of intimidating young actors.
- 15:15Speaker 1: So he allegedly left one female scare actor terrified. Now,
- 15:19Speaker 1: The Sun was the first publication to break this news,
- 15:21Speaker 1: but it was off the back of a ton of
- 15:23Speaker 1: videos of Tommy behaving badly at this event going viral
- 15:27Speaker 1: on TikTok. So one of the TikTok videos showed Tommy
- 15:30Speaker 1: staggering around the theme park. There was another really weird
- 15:34Speaker 1: video of him kissing a male actor in.
- 15:36Speaker 2: A clown mask.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I've seen that photo everywhere. It's just not a good look.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And it gives you an insight into the way he
- 15:42Speaker 1: was behaving. Which goes so against what we see of
- 15:46Speaker 1: him on Molly Mae's channel, where she's very good at
- 15:49Speaker 1: curating her life and making their relationship look perfect, even
- 15:52Speaker 1: though we know that they broke up a couple of
- 15:54Speaker 1: years ago due to Tommy's drinking problems. But I feel
- 15:57Speaker 1: like she also prides herself in being real because it's
- 16:00Speaker 1: not just beautiful photos they post of each other. Like
- 16:02Speaker 1: they post themselves messing around and farting and all this
- 16:04Speaker 1: kind of stuff. But when it comes to their relationship,
- 16:06Speaker 1: you get the idea that they're cute together, that they're
- 16:09Speaker 1: always happy that he's this family man when Behind the scenes,
- 16:12Speaker 1: it seems quite different now. Well, it's not like she
- 16:14Speaker 1: jumps on and she's like, oh, Tommy's just at a
- 16:16Speaker 1: Halloween event getting drunk.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, well, no.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I think after that very public breakup, a lot of
- 16:20Speaker 1: us have Tommy's ticket and we're like, okay, I don't
- 16:23Speaker 1: think what we're seeing online of him is correct. But
- 16:27Speaker 1: there's a lot of hope that maybe he's changed. Maybe he's,
- 16:30Speaker 1: you know. He fought so hard to get Molly Mae back.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And then seeing this unfold online has been so disappointing.
- 16:36Speaker 1: You want to buy into it, don't you? You want
- 16:37Speaker 1: to buy into the dream that she's putting out there
- 16:40Speaker 1: because you love her. And it's so obvious when you
- 16:42Speaker 1: see this vision that he is incredibly drunk. I mean,
- 16:45Speaker 1: there were people saying that he smelled like vomit as well.
- 16:48Speaker 1: It's a terrible look. Now, as we said, these clips
- 16:51Speaker 1: have gone absolutely viral. And of course, people had a
- 16:53Speaker 1: lot to say in the comment section. One user wrote,
- 16:56Speaker 1: looks like he slipped and unfortunately had a drink.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Addiction is hard. There were also a lot of Molly
- 17:01Speaker 2: Mae fans who were worried about how this incident reflected
- 17:05Speaker 2: on her. One wrote, he always finds a way to
- 17:07Speaker 2: embarrass Molly, whilst another said, Molly, leave him.
- 17:11Speaker 1: The kiss was.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Also very hotly debated, as you would expect.
- 17:14Speaker 1: One person wrote, the kiss, with all these question marks,
- 17:17Speaker 1: immediately single, which got over 16.8 thousand likes. Now, One
- 17:22Speaker 1: person came into bat for Tommy and said, it's obviously
- 17:24Speaker 1: a man because he's the same height as Tommy and
- 17:26Speaker 1: he's wearing a mask, not like he's snogging some girl
- 17:28Speaker 1: at a nightclub. If you haven't seen this vision, it
- 17:31Speaker 1: sounds a lot worse, I think, than it was. He
- 17:35Speaker 1: was literally pretending to size up to the guy like
- 17:37Speaker 1: you would in a boxing ring. And then he lent
- 17:40Speaker 1: in and pretended to kiss him. I mean, the man
- 17:41Speaker 1: was wearing a mask. It wasn't some like passionate kiss.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I definitely think it would have been worse if it
- 17:46Speaker 1: was a female scare actor. A lot of people are
- 17:48Speaker 1: saying that his lips only touched the mask, but- It
- 17:51Speaker 1: was like a split scene. I wouldn't have been pleased
- 17:54Speaker 1: about it. It was more intimidating than like a sexual kiss.
- 17:57Speaker 1: But do you know what, though? It's how it comes
- 17:59Speaker 1: across in the media as well. So if you hear headlines,
- 18:02Speaker 1: Tommy Fury kissed a scare actor, you're like, oh, my God,
- 18:06Speaker 1: particularly when there were past rumours when the couple broke
- 18:09Speaker 1: up about him hooking up with girls.
- 18:11Speaker 2: In nightclubs and cheating on her.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Do you know what?
- 18:13Speaker 1: I just think it made him look like a douchebag.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I don't think it looked like he was cheating on her.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I just thought, what is this guy doing? To make
- 18:19Speaker 1: matters worse for Tommy– One of the scare actors has
- 18:22Speaker 1: also spoken out about the incident on TikTok. So in
- 18:25Speaker 1: the video, which has attracted over 1.7 million views, the
- 18:29Speaker 1: actor called Onyx alleges that the boxer lunged at her,
- 18:33Speaker 1: leaving her feeling terrified. Now, she claims that she didn't
- 18:36Speaker 1: realize it was Tommy Fury until he was in her face.
- 18:40Speaker 1: She says he was allegedly standing so close to her
- 18:42Speaker 1: that their chests were touching. And quickly after, she says
- 18:45Speaker 1: that his two security guards also got in her face, Now,
- 18:49Speaker 1: after this bizarre encounter, Onyx said that Tommy and his
- 18:52Speaker 1: security guards turned to walk away, but Tommy tripped over
- 18:56Speaker 1: the end of her long cape.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Let's take a listen to what she said happened next.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I was so startled. I had to go and take
- 19:03Speaker 4: a minute because I was shivering. Well, not shivering, but
- 19:07Speaker 4: I was shaking.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I was so startled. Can you imagine what it was
- 19:11Speaker 3: like for me? I'm a scare actor.
- 19:14Speaker 4: I'm trained to deal with awful people, threatening people and
- 19:18Speaker 4: stuff like that but I've got a famous boxer in
- 19:21Speaker 4: my face and two security guards as a five foot
- 19:24Speaker 4: six woman.
- 19:25Speaker 1: What?
- 19:26Speaker 3: That was not what I came to work for. I
- 19:29Speaker 3: am so just... I was terrified.
- 19:33Speaker 4: He then proceeds to turn around and I cannot remember
- 19:37Speaker 4: exactly what he said and I don't want to state
- 19:40Speaker 4: as a fact that he said this specific thing as
- 19:43Speaker 4: I'm coming to social media about it but he said something.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Along the lines of You fucking prick. Something like that.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I at no point I never say anything I do
- 19:53Speaker 4: not do anything I do not retaliate but Tommy why
- 19:59Speaker 4: why are you behaving like that you are every year
- 20:02Speaker 4: you always come to like scare mazes.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry Tommy get home Stop going out drunk and
- 20:09Speaker 1: making a fool of yourself. Like I'm so angry for
- 20:12Speaker 1: Molly Mae. She has taken him back. She's had a
- 20:15Speaker 1: second baby, which. Clearly he was pushing for it. She's
- 20:18Speaker 1: done everything he wanted and he's still acting like a.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Dickhead out at a Halloween event.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Like you have a young baby at home. I just
- 20:26Speaker 1: at home. A baby, a baby with colic as well.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I saw people like, oh, it's just a 27 year
- 20:30Speaker 1: old lad.
- 20:31Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You're a 27 year old dad of two. Yeah. But
- 20:34Speaker 1: also as this woman pointed out, she's five foot six.
- 20:36Speaker 1: She's this small woman with this large boxer in her face.
- 20:39Speaker 1: She said that she wasn't even at like she wasn't
- 20:42Speaker 1: even scaring people at that point. She was just having
- 20:44Speaker 1: a bit of rest just standing there and he got
- 20:45Speaker 1: in her face allegedly like that. I think a lot
- 20:47Speaker 1: of women have had that experience where they've been at
- 20:50Speaker 1: a nightclub and just this awfully drunk person will not
- 20:53Speaker 1: respect their space and just gets in their face.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's revolting.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Well, particularly when that person as Onyx touched on He
- 21:02Speaker 1: is a famous boxer. That's his profession. I know. And
- 21:04Speaker 1: why is he, you know, allegedly squaring up and pretending
- 21:07Speaker 1: to fight with people, particularly women?
- 21:09Speaker 2: A woman, yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Well, the actor Onyx went on to ask the boxer
- 21:12Speaker 1: for an apology saying this.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I think an apology would just be appreciated because, well,
- 21:19Speaker 3: we deserve one, you know, just an apology. I mean,
- 21:25Speaker 3: this is just on my own regard.
- 21:26Speaker 4: I can't speak for any of my colleagues, but I
- 21:29Speaker 4: do like an apology. you know, a sober apology, because
- 21:33Speaker 4: you did appear quite drunk, and if you weren't, I'm
- 21:37Speaker 4: very sorry that I believed that you were, but, you know,
- 21:40Speaker 4: I feel like that behaviour would be worse if you
- 21:42Speaker 4: were sober, but also we do, we do serve alcohol
- 21:45Speaker 4: at our place of work, it's a trail, you have
- 21:49Speaker 4: a group, you have a set, a few attractions, you
- 21:51Speaker 4: have a rest point, you know, drinks, food, entertainment, and
- 21:55Speaker 4: then you continue into the second half, which is where
- 21:57Speaker 4: I was, so if you were intoxicated, I'd appreciate an
- 22:02Speaker 4: apology because you scared me quite a bit and not
- 22:08Speaker 4: in a cool way.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Well, this just confirms what everyone was thinking, that he
- 22:13Speaker 1: was intoxicated at the event, which is really sad because
- 22:16Speaker 1: when he and Molly Mae broke up, he came out
- 22:19Speaker 1: and said that he has an issue with alcohol and
- 22:21Speaker 1: it was something that he was working on. Now, presumably,
- 22:24Speaker 1: many of us thought that that was no longer an
- 22:27Speaker 1: issue once Molly Mae took him back. But alcoholism isn't
- 22:30Speaker 1: something that is just fixed overnight.
- 22:32Speaker 4: It is.
- 22:32Speaker 1: going to be an ongoing problem for him sadly. Yeah
- 22:35Speaker 1: well Tommy's management have responded saying that the whole incident
- 22:38Speaker 1: has been misinterpreted apparently. They claim that Tommy was playfully
- 22:42Speaker 1: approached by numerous actors that night who wanted to have
- 22:45Speaker 1: a face-off with him and they said that this is
- 22:48Speaker 1: quite a normal request when boxers go out in public.
- 22:51Speaker 1: His management also said that none of these so-called square-ups
- 22:54Speaker 1: were done in an aggressive manner. Sorry but how is
- 22:56Speaker 1: that possible? The whole point of boxing is to be aggressive.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I love that the management also were like He was
- 23:01Speaker 1: getting a lot of DMs from some of the scare
- 23:03Speaker 1: actors saying how lovely it was to meet him and
- 23:05Speaker 1: his friends. Can you imagine them typing this up and
- 23:08Speaker 1: thinking that anyone was going to actually believe this? I
- 23:10Speaker 1: wonder if Fran had anything to do with it. Molly's
- 23:12Speaker 1: manager's like, fuck, I've got to step in and help
- 23:14Speaker 1: these guys out. What's really sad is it seems like
- 23:17Speaker 1: we saw the reality of this situation play out two
- 23:20Speaker 1: days later on Molly May's YouTube because she filmed a
- 23:23Speaker 1: scene of her in her car talking about how she
- 23:26Speaker 1: wasn't having a great Monday. She explained that she'd actually
- 23:28Speaker 1: already broken down in tears. Now, she put this down
- 23:32Speaker 1: to the fact that their young son, Midas, had been sick.
- 23:34Speaker 1: He had his first cold, which later they took him
- 23:37Speaker 1: to the doctor and it seemed quite serious. They said
- 23:39Speaker 1: he potentially had RSV. But clearly, there was a lot
- 23:42Speaker 1: more going on behind the scenes. I want to know,
- 23:45Speaker 1: what does Molly's sister, Zoe Ray, think about this? Because
- 23:47Speaker 1: she seemed to have Tommy's tickets. in Molly's documentary. Like
- 23:51Speaker 1: there's not a lot of love lost between those two.
- 23:54Speaker 1: She would be feeling so validated, but also awful because
- 23:57Speaker 1: you don't, you want the best for your sister. You
- 23:59Speaker 1: don't want to be proven right in that situation. Particularly
- 24:01Speaker 1: when they've only just had a new baby as well.
- 24:03Speaker 1: In the wake of this backlash, clearly Molly's manager, Fran,
- 24:06Speaker 1: has said, look, we need a pap walk. Everyone needs
- 24:08Speaker 1: to see that you guys are still together.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So there's no speculation. over your relationship status.
- 24:13Speaker 1: So just a day after the Sun article, the couple
- 24:17Speaker 1: were photographed out with their kids looking like they were.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Having a great time.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a really clever PR move by Fran.
- 24:22Speaker 1: People needed to see them together because otherwise... How much
- 24:25Speaker 1: speculation would there be over this that they've broken up? Well,
- 24:28Speaker 1: Molly backed it up by posting a bunch of photos
- 24:30Speaker 1: of her and Tommy with the kids over the weekend
- 24:33Speaker 1: doing very wholesome activities. So it's clear they're trying to
- 24:36Speaker 1: show a united front. I mean, we cannot finish this topic, though,
- 24:40Speaker 1: without the inclusion of Jake Paul's involvement in this story.
- 24:43Speaker 1: So he is weighed in and he is, of course,
- 24:46Speaker 1: one of Tommy's boxing rivals. On X, he wrote, Molly
- 24:49Speaker 1: Mae runs a business, raises the kids and pays the bills.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Tommy's job was not to get kicked out of a
- 24:55Speaker 1: haunted house. Couldn't do it. Now, Tommy hit back writing, well, well, well,
- 25:00Speaker 1: look who can't keep my name out of his mouth.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I'll see you very soon, buddy. Time to break the
- 25:06Speaker 1: other side of your jaw, you fat tattooed prick. I
- 25:09Speaker 1: don't get why he'd use the word prick considering the
- 25:11Speaker 1: scare actor accused him of calling her a prick. Or
- 25:14Speaker 1: just be aggressive in general. I mean, I know he's
- 25:16Speaker 1: a boxer, but it's like, hang on, you've just backed
- 25:18Speaker 1: up what people were saying about you. I can't take
- 25:20Speaker 1: Tommy seriously when he does these clapbacks at people because
- 25:23Speaker 1: I just think of him cuddling Ellie Belly, Molly's made
- 25:26Speaker 1: a soft toy, and I'm like, it's obviously a performance.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Now Jake responded back to Tommy saying, never happening, ship
- 25:33Speaker 1: has sailed, you're a daddy's little girl who kisses boys
- 25:35Speaker 1: instead of taking care of your own girls. God, he
- 25:38Speaker 1: really owned him there, didn't he? Yeah. Well, I think
- 25:40Speaker 1: that's all we've got time for today. Thank you so
- 25:42Speaker 1: much for listening to another episode of Outspoken. If you
- 25:45Speaker 1: haven't already, we would love if you could go and
- 25:48Speaker 1: leave us a five-star review because it really helps out
- 25:50Speaker 1: the podcast. This episode was recorded on the traditional land
- 25:54Speaker 1: of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We pay
- 25:57Speaker 1: respect to elders past and present.
