- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:42hypnosis session about something very specific when it comes to
- 0:46eye health, and that is the relieving of pressure on the
- 0:51optic nerve. And I was working with a.
- 0:54Client that. Almost out of nowhere started
- 0:57having migraines, headaches and double vision and they had an
- 1:02MRI scan and it revealed a mass behind the optic nerve that was
- 1:07putting pressure on the optic nerve.
- 1:10And they wanted a hypnosis session to work alongside other
- 1:14things they were doing to help feel that they were at a
- 1:19psychosomatic level and a belief level and a suggestion level,
- 1:24hoping to ease the pressure and restoring.
- 1:26Health. They were big into
- 1:29manifestation. They'd recently read a book
- 1:33called The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, which is a lot about the
- 1:37magic of gratitude. So what you're going to hear is
- 1:412 key things in this session. One is the whole element of a.
- 1:47Visual. Representation of the pressure.
- 1:50Being eased and. Secondly, the gratitude of their
- 1:54vision and eye health. Now it might be the case that
- 1:57you don't have a specific issue relating to the optic nerve, in
- 2:03which case it's still a nice session because it's all about
- 2:06health and gratitude. But if you happen to have a
- 2:10health issue, just replace this idea of pressure around the eyes
- 2:13with whatever your condition is and it goes.
- 2:16Without saying that. This is designed to complement
- 2:20the kind of things that you would get alongside advice from
- 2:25medical experts. It's not designed to replace
- 2:30doctors suggestions or optical experts and ophthalmologists.
- 2:36It's not designed to replace that at all.
- 2:38It's designed to complement that.
- 2:40So bear that in mind and and speak to your doctor if you need
- 2:45any kind of specific medical attention.
- 2:48For now, though, you might get some value from this as a way of
- 2:51tapping into more gratitude and feelings.
- 2:54Of. Releasing pressure of any kind
- 2:57within your body. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 3:00place where you're not going to be disturbed.
- 3:02Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 3:20breathe in, breathe in that feeling of calm relaxation and
- 3:26as you exhale, feel a sense of release, particularly around
- 3:33your eyelids. And as you breathe out, just
- 3:38allow any tension around your eyes to be released, breathing
- 3:46in relaxation and with your eyes closed, releasing any tension
- 3:57that's in. I just feel a wonderful sense of
- 4:03release, breathing in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 4:08relaxation and really letting go not just of any tension, but of
- 4:18any thoughts or emotions. And that could be frustration,
- 4:26disappointment, or even just feeling something you don't want
- 4:36to feel, to breathe in the emotions you do want to feel.
- 4:44As you imagine a bright colour that represents pure distilled
- 4:52gratitude. Whatever colour that is, make it
- 4:59even brighter and then imagine breathing in then pure distilled
- 5:06gratitude. Just imagine that has the
- 5:11ability to melt away any stress, worries or tension.
- 5:19And then imagine anything you don't need is leaving your body
- 5:25in that outward breath as a dark grey cloud.
- 5:33The bright colour of gratitude is going in and you're releasing
- 5:39anything no longer needed. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 5:45more gratitude goes in. And the longer you exhale, the
- 5:53more of that dark grey is leaving your body in that
- 5:59outward breath. So the deeper you breathe, the
- 6:04more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:10the deeper you breathe, each breath taking you deeper and
- 6:19deeper, relaxed. And as your body relaxes, your
- 6:26imagination awakens. And I want you to imagine hiking
- 6:35in a mountainous part of nature towards a picturesque lake and
- 6:46just imagine blue skies. Imagine wearing whatever
- 6:53clothing is suitable for that hike.
- 6:57And maybe you're walking alone or maybe someone's with you, but
- 7:03each step towards the lake makes you feel more connected with
- 7:09nature and more connected with yourself.
- 7:14Each step takes you more and more into that wonderful feeling
- 7:20of relaxation. I'm going to countdown from 5 to
- 7:291. Each descending number takes you
- 7:35deeper to that place where change happens, and when I get
- 7:41to 1, you will arrive at the lake. 5 releasing all of the
- 7:48tension around your eyes. 9 focusing on the forehead as you
- 7:56release that tension. Now highlights getting heavier.
- 8:01Release any tension in your jaw as four turns to three that's
- 8:06in. And sometimes tension in the
- 8:10neck or the shoulders can affect tiny muscles in the face.
- 8:17So just allow yourself to really let go of any tension in the
- 8:22neck and the shoulders and then down into the arms as three
- 8:26turns to two, and then feel a wave of relaxation all the way
- 8:32through your body as you get closer to the leg.
- 8:37As two becomes 1, you arrive at the lake and as one becomes 0,
- 8:45imagine finding a very comfortable chair next to the
- 8:52lake. Imagine placing yourself in that
- 8:56chair and staring at the surface of the lake.
- 9:05I want you to notice waves or ripples, reflections and
- 9:13colours. And I want you to get a sense
- 9:17that the more you focus on that lake, the deeper and deeper
- 9:24relaxed you go. Almost like the lake is a portal
- 9:32to your subconscious mind, taking it deeper and deeper,
- 9:41relaxed, That's it. And just feel that wonderful
- 9:47feeling of relaxation, That's it.
- 9:53And there, in that chair by the lake, allow yourself to settle
- 10:02into even more comfort, every exhale helping you to release
- 10:09tension you don't know you had, every inhale filling you with
- 10:15calm, and your eyelids resting gently, heavy and soft, your
- 10:25body relaxing deeper with every word.
- 10:32Imagine what it would feel like to descend gently down into a
- 10:38soothing stillness. And in this place, your body
- 10:47becomes still, your mind becomes open.
- 10:52Open to images, ideas and sensations that support your
- 11:01deepest healing. But just before we go really
- 11:07deep inwards, I want you to see 2 cute animals near the lake.
- 11:17You decide what they are, something furry like a rabbit or
- 11:23perhaps a cute little bird, and just decide.
- 11:30One of them is called Fernando and the other animal is called
- 11:35Bill. And as you see them, cute and
- 11:41small and harmless, I want you to feel that that's what they
- 11:47are. They're just there.
- 11:51They're no danger, they're no threat, and yet they're still
- 11:57present for the time being. But you have an idea that before
- 12:04long both Fernando and Bill won't be close to you because
- 12:13they'll find somewhere else to go.
- 12:19And as you accept a lack of attachment to them, just
- 12:27observing them and having an expectation that they'll be
- 12:32going soon. Now imagine you can bring your
- 12:36attention inward. And I wonder if you could
- 12:41visualize your brain safely and clearly.
- 12:48Maybe you could imagine always seeing your brain like you're
- 12:52seeing a diagram, your brain in relation to your eye, your eye
- 12:58in relation to your optic nerve, and there the area where the
- 13:05optic nerve connects to your brain, that powerful and
- 13:11delicate pathway of light and vision.
- 13:17And I want you to imagine just behind that optic nerve, a white
- 13:25spherical mass sitting there. And when you think of that white
- 13:33mass, you think of that cute animal Bill.
- 13:40And maybe it's been creating pressure, tension or discomfort,
- 13:49maybe somehow responsible for headaches, migraines, or double
- 13:54vision. And now I'd like you to imagine,
- 14:01with every calm breath you take, that white spherical mass is
- 14:10beginning to crumble, to shrink, to ease.
- 14:19Like ice melting in warm sunshine, becoming lighter,
- 14:27smaller. In fact, it comes so small I
- 14:35want you to feel it becomes insignificant.
- 14:42Perhaps you can link the size and the shape to an idea of
- 14:47pressure. I want you to imagine that if
- 14:54you had a balloon inside a box, and that box was small, and you
- 15:03inflated that balloon inside that small box, it would put
- 15:07pressure on all sides of the box from the inside.
- 15:16But if that same balloon was deflated, there would be no
- 15:20pressure at all on the sides of the box.
- 15:26And I want you to imagine what it would feel like if that white
- 15:32spherical shape was a little white balloon and instead of it
- 15:39being inflated causing the pressure, it was being deflated
- 15:45to ease the pressure until there's no pressure at all.
- 15:53And I want you to feel space opening up.
- 15:59Any pressure on the optic nerve is now free once more.
- 16:07And because it's free and there's no pressure signals
- 16:12flowing clearly and smoothly, you've had the experience at
- 16:19least once where either you or someone you knew accidentally
- 16:26trod on a garden hose while water was flowing through it,
- 16:34and the pressure on the hose interrupted the flow of the
- 16:39water. But notice how quickly it was
- 16:44resolved. The moment the pressure was
- 16:48released from the hose, the water flowed exactly as it did
- 16:54before. And I want you to get a sense
- 16:58there's been pressure on your optic nerve and very, very soon
- 17:05it will return so signals can flow exactly as they did before.
- 17:17And perhaps you could imagine the tiny muscles around the eye,
- 17:24the tiny tendons returning to the perfect level of tension and
- 17:32alignment like a well tuned instrument.
- 17:38You could have a magnificent instrument like a grand piano or
- 17:44a violin, but if the strings aren't the right tension, it
- 17:51doesn't play right. And I want you to imagine those
- 17:57muscles and tendons are returning to exactly the right
- 18:02tension for you, balancing, relaxing, and strengthening
- 18:10naturally. Maybe you notice, either now or
- 18:16in the near future, that as that pressure dissolves, you notice
- 18:25not noticing because headaches vanish, migraines subside, and
- 18:32clarity returns just like the water flowing through that hose
- 18:40that was once impeded. So before long, you have a
- 18:53positive expectation in advance that your vision, your eye
- 18:59health will return back to normal, sharp, balanced and
- 19:06natural. And as this transformation
- 19:10unfolds, I want you to scan your body to feel an immense
- 19:16gratitude rising within you. Gratitude for your body's
- 19:22intelligence, gratitude for the gift of vision.
- 19:29There are many people born every day without vision, and you've
- 19:35had it your whole life. And you can feel that gratitude
- 19:42and gratitude that you can influence your health with your
- 19:46thoughts and feelings. And you more than anyone else
- 19:52know that to be true. So you can silently say to
- 19:58yourself, thank you for my healthy eyes, thank you for my
- 20:05clear vision, and thank you for my vibrant health.
- 20:12And maybe you're just saying it inside your head, or maybe
- 20:16you're directing it specifically at that part just behind your
- 20:20eyes. But each time you repeat these
- 20:24words in your mind, I want you to feel that you are
- 20:29strengthening this healing force within you.
- 20:34Almost like gratitude is your magic and the more you give
- 20:41thanks, the more health is flowing into you.
- 20:52And I wonder if you could imagine yourself in just a few
- 20:57days, maybe a few weeks. Absolutely no need for any
- 21:05medication and see yourself with clear and steady vision.
- 21:13And you know that by what you're doing.
- 21:18And maybe you see yourself driving confidently, seeing the
- 21:22road with ease, or perhaps walking through nature, admiring
- 21:28colors, shapes and beauty. But I want you to notice
- 21:33something. That version of you looks
- 21:37vibrant, energized, grateful, and alive.
- 21:46People say that you don't appreciate what you have until
- 21:52you stop having it, even if it's just for a short period of time.
- 21:59And I want you to imagine your future.
- 22:03You will have so much more gratitude for your vision and
- 22:06eye health because of this very temporary situation.
- 22:13And then step into that version of you just a week or two from
- 22:22now and notice how good it feels to use your vision.
- 22:29Maybe you can notice something in nature, like the fine details
- 22:33of leaves, or the way light reflects on water, or the smile
- 22:40or facial expression of someone you love.
- 22:45And with each scene, gratitude deepens.
- 22:53But this is just a short term. Now allow your imagination to
- 23:00travel further, perhaps one year into the future, and I want you
- 23:08to see that version of you living in Italy, surrounded by
- 23:15beauty, history and sunshine. But most of all, see yourself
- 23:22exuding health, vitality and gratitude.
- 23:29I want you to see yourself there, vibrant, strong, full of
- 23:34life. See yourself eating delicious
- 23:39natural foods, feeling so connected to yourself and all
- 23:44the people around you. But also see you really using
- 23:49your vision. Maybe you see yourself admiring
- 23:53art, landscapes, perhaps architecture or nature with
- 24:01healthy, grateful eyes. And in this vision of the future
- 24:10for you, you know with certainty that your eyes are healthy, your
- 24:15vision is clear, your body is thriving, and gratitude has
- 24:22become your daily magic. And somewhere there in Italy, I
- 24:30want you to see a magical portal that takes you to a lake by the
- 24:38side of a mountain. And imagine walking through that
- 24:42portal and as you arrive, see someone looking just like you,
- 24:51sat in a chair looking at the surface of a lake.
- 24:58And step into that version of you with those grateful, healthy
- 25:03eyes as you feel like the past, present and future are all
- 25:09merging into pure gratitude and pure health.
- 25:17But this time, as you get out of the chair, there's something
- 25:20missing too. Cute small animals that were
- 25:28there before are now missing Fernando and Bill, and you don't
- 25:35know where they are. And you don't need to know where
- 25:38they are because they gave you a gift, a valuable gift that has
- 25:47enhanced gratitude for the brief time they were there.
- 25:52And you can now be even more grateful that they're not.
- 25:58They had a role to play in your life, but not a permanent role
- 26:03to play in your life. It's time to leave that lake,
- 26:10that mountainous area and feel like you're returning back to
- 26:15the present, taking these wonderful suggestions, ideas,
- 26:20resources, and deep amplified feelings of gratitude with you.
- 26:28So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 26:34nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 26:37wiggle your toes. That's it.
- 26:41Starting to connect and calibrate into the here and the
- 26:44now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 26:50Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 26:56More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 27:04Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
