- 0:01Speaker 1: Footing timgamen the.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Ok it's not a now to ask, but it did
- 0:21Speaker 2: make me laugh.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So it's very interesting. But what's going on? Everybody? I'm
- 0:26Speaker 1: the one, the only the w o okay, I e
- 0:30Speaker 1: one misfits short of a happy mail, as per the
- 0:32Speaker 1: norm for this show. But we do have the PhD
- 0:36Speaker 1: of key Forge, doctor m Sheep, Hello and the Ewakia
- 0:42Speaker 1: some ewoks.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Hello, Keith Forde community, glad to be here.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Glad to be here, glad to be here. Stuff and things,
- 0:52Speaker 1: coral stuff and things. All right, key Forde released news articles. Guys,
- 0:58Speaker 1: should we read them? Verba them Ai style. I was
- 1:06Speaker 1: looking more just to piss off Sheep and clearly it worked.
- 1:11Speaker 1: But we we got our first look at the early
- 1:15Speaker 1: Bloor reveal for Portland being the first one that is up.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It will be the more Wolves. Wonder how they got
- 1:24Speaker 1: that idea?
- 1:27Speaker 3: This one.
- 1:27Speaker 1: They didn't steal from us, all right, cool, just me
- 1:34Speaker 1: or like any everybody else here.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I mean, they picked an art and that's what it is.
- 1:40Speaker 1: They clearly chose more wolves because the more wolves are
- 1:42Speaker 1: from the Portland area. No, yes, yes so they you so,
- 1:46Speaker 1: so I put some thought into it.
- 1:48Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I mean if you actually read the article that there
- 1:52Speaker 2: was actual thought. They even explained that one to you.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Boys. Oh there's reading involved. I didn't do any of that,
- 2:01Speaker 1: but there will be fifty of them. Are these prints like?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Are these like in a plaque? Like what? I don't know.
- 2:09Speaker 1: If it's a fight, it's a print like it's art.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, keep scrolling down, man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I understand it's like it's is it? Do I get
- 2:17Speaker 1: the plaque too?
- 2:20Speaker 3: I don't know. But because I made this, we're totally
- 2:22Speaker 3: in the wrong channel. So that's awesome. What do you
- 2:25Speaker 3: mean we're in the Patreon channel?
- 2:28Speaker 2: You're in the patret which is why I actually couldn't
- 2:30Speaker 2: get in.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Oh so we Yeah, that would be probably why let's
- 2:34Speaker 1: go to the regular one and try try that. This
- 2:41Speaker 1: is why we let's see, let's name it. This is
- 2:48Speaker 1: why we don't let sheep do stuff. Oh okay, all right,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and this is why we don't let sheep do things,
- 3:04Speaker 1: boys and girls.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I can read show notes. I really should subscribe to
- 3:08Speaker 2: our patreon. That's that's what I should do.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I just wanted to create some editing work for you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: What do you mean editing work? This is going We're
- 3:16Speaker 1: we're raw dogging it rod dogging whoa. I've been editing work?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Should I redo it? You guys want me to restart? No? Hello?
- 3:29Speaker 3: To edit it out?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Hello? Can you go? Hello?
- 3:33Speaker 3: All right?
- 3:34Speaker 1: So, for all of you who missed it, which was
- 3:36Speaker 1: all of you in the live chat, because this is
- 3:40Speaker 1: why we don't let sheep do stuff. He put us
- 3:44Speaker 1: in the Patreon channel, but now we're in the regular
- 3:46Speaker 1: live channel. Are somewhat apologies to that, but here we are.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So we're talking about the more wolves, talking about the
- 3:55Speaker 1: early bloor of Reveil for Portland. For those of you
- 3:59Speaker 1: who are going, you will get a five by seven
- 4:01Speaker 1: print and I am assuming in a nifty frame.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I don't know about the frame.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You're not what we're not sure about the frame?
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they are double sided. They are double
- 4:14Speaker 2: sided prints, which is pretty cool. And unlike Mike cos
- 4:19Speaker 2: here there is reading. And there was a reason why
- 4:22Speaker 2: more wolves were chosen.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So I like, more wolves? Is there another was there
- 4:30Speaker 1: a different reasoning? Do we lose we walk again? Okay?
- 4:37Speaker 3: No, it says example Champion.
- 4:41Speaker 2: This was piece we felt embodied the spirit of Portland
- 4:44Speaker 2: and it's fine. It's grand forests and so that is
- 4:48Speaker 2: part of the reason.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So I.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Question, so this framed one, Yeah, is that replacing the
- 4:58Speaker 3: crystal trophy?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh well, it says special additions, as if the serialized
- 5:05Speaker 2: five by seven's were not special enough. We also developed
- 5:08Speaker 2: an even more limited run of five ultra exclusive eight
- 5:11Speaker 2: by ten prints that will be given out at the events. Yes,
- 5:20Speaker 2: I have no idea if they're replacing I don't believe.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I will give somebody five dollars. And I'll even extend
- 5:25Speaker 1: this to the audience. I will give somebody five dollars
- 5:28Speaker 1: if they could pronounce the artist of the more Wolf
- 5:31Speaker 1: more Wolf's name. Do I need to kick it up
- 5:37Speaker 1: to ten? I don't even know where it is. It's yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: if you go, like kind of right after the picture
- 5:46Speaker 1: more Wolf created by.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Nisia Legmagma.
- 6:01Speaker 1: All right, so we got to see this. Would I
- 6:05Speaker 1: not be surprised if they were handing out these art
- 6:08Speaker 1: pieces as your new trophies. I would not.
- 6:13Speaker 2: No, No, I think.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Champion will receive an eight x ten version of the
- 6:17Speaker 1: art print, with the US champions receiving a framed version.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Framing for international championships will be at the discretion of
- 6:26Speaker 1: our local event partners. You know what this means, replace
- 6:32Speaker 1: the Crystal Trophy. No, instead of serialization, each champion print
- 6:39Speaker 1: no to which the three competitive formats the champion has
- 6:42Speaker 1: won sealed ARCon or Alliance. This is replacing something though.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Are they not doing play mats.
- 6:48Speaker 2: No, it's just an addition.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But I like that.
- 6:52Speaker 2: There are the five Ultra Exclusive, which is a little
- 6:55Speaker 2: bit different size and honestly it's a fellowship award. Can
- 7:00Speaker 2: go ahead and throw it out randomly, or you could
- 7:03Speaker 2: potentially have it for people who are new to the
- 7:07Speaker 2: event's first time or having a great time, just setting
- 7:11Speaker 2: a great experience for the event. Like, there are lots
- 7:15Speaker 2: that you could do with this, and.
- 7:18Speaker 3: You're doing get a fellowship award.
- 7:25Speaker 2: For all the friends down at the bottom tier, especially
- 7:28Speaker 2: with too l O where it's been in the past.
- 7:30Speaker 2: If if you're out after two rounds.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Fellowship It's like it's like the Booby Prize of key Ford.
- 7:36Speaker 2: You know what if there's something.
- 7:40Speaker 1: If I lost, did I not have? I would be
- 7:43Speaker 1: very happy.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Did we not have some nice prizes for this week
- 7:49Speaker 2: for our store Championship? Yes, while it does not entice.
- 7:54Speaker 3: U, shape just disappeared.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Well yeah, you were totally m I A.
- 7:58Speaker 1: But while some of us are not.
- 8:01Speaker 3: So obsessed with the material world.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Well, and that's great. Well, there are all individuals that
- 8:07Speaker 2: enjoy cheap little chot skis that there is.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Wak is a material girl. So we all know this, Yes,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but what were the cheap chatskeys?
- 8:18Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I wasn't there either. I was I was with I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was with my my wife. She was getting all her
- 8:24Speaker 1: teeth pulled, literally all of them. I hope better man
- 8:29Speaker 1: and I and I and and while and so get this.
- 8:33Speaker 1: While I was waiting a big cough. Sorry, while I
- 8:38Speaker 1: was waiting in the waiting room, I was playing KEYBOARDI
- 8:40Speaker 1: of Pete nice. I had my laptop, I'm sorry. I
- 8:45Speaker 1: had my tablet with me, and Pete challenged me in
- 8:49Speaker 1: his SaaS Champs. If you haven't checked out the SaaS Champs,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I highly encourage you to do as such, he challenged my.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't even know what is it fifty eight? I
- 9:00Speaker 1: don't know what sass when I plunk down in But
- 9:04Speaker 1: Pete challenged me, and then UH realize double Horseman isn't
- 9:10Speaker 1: as easy to get through as he thought. Right, people,
- 9:15Speaker 1: work is pretty good. Actually, I've had to play against it. Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I mean, back on the Code of Days. It was
- 9:21Speaker 1: not topsass competitive, but it definitely well, it's nice when
- 9:26Speaker 1: you have uh well, I mean double horseman means you're
- 9:29Speaker 1: guaranteed eight creatures in sanctum House, right.
- 9:33Speaker 3: To fish for them and do everything.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yep, they can play with you. The one of the
- 9:42Speaker 1: horsemen fishes for other horsemen. One of the horsemen deals
- 9:46Speaker 1: damage to everything that isn't a horseman. One of the
- 9:48Speaker 1: horsemen lets you fight with everything, and then one I'm
- 9:52Speaker 1: not sure what the other one does.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Lets everybody fight.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the one of war. One lets you one
- 10:02Speaker 1: lets you kill the least powerful creature.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yeah, thatund's pretty good. That's pestilence, right.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, pestilence. And then war lets you fight with everybody.
- 10:11Speaker 1: And I can't remember the other two.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Yeah, they were cool, but ever good.
- 10:16Speaker 1: They were cool.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You guys like to actually talk. So you have Horsemen
- 10:19Speaker 2: of Death. I have power return each horseman creature from
- 10:23Speaker 2: the discard pile to your hands. Yeah, okay, you have
- 10:26Speaker 2: Horsemen of Famine also five power play after fight after reap,
- 10:30Speaker 2: destroy the least powerful creature. Yeah, you have Horsemen of Pestilence.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Five power play after fight after reap. Deal one to
- 10:39Speaker 2: each non horseman creature, and then Horsemen of War five
- 10:43Speaker 2: power play for the remainder of the turn. Each friendly
- 10:45Speaker 2: creature can be used as if if they were the
- 10:48Speaker 2: active house, but can only fight.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, all these are true. You guys are pretty good,
- 10:53Speaker 1: pretty close with that. And I almost key abducted. I
- 10:58Speaker 1: was so the the deck has a key abduction and
- 11:02Speaker 1: he kept forgetting what is it the guy that when
- 11:05Speaker 1: he reaps he gets the archive of a card he's in.
- 11:11Speaker 3: He's in.
- 11:11Speaker 1: He's a nice chist. Yeah, the is it the archivist
- 11:15Speaker 1: in logos getting meat archivists? Yeah, logos Hello good s. Yeah,
- 11:23Speaker 1: there's there's two of those in there with a replication
- 11:27Speaker 1: with a replica. Nice.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, he's riding in some horsemen.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was. I was whipping up. I was whipping up
- 11:39Speaker 1: on Pete with my double Horseman deck this week, my
- 11:44Speaker 1: very first, and he sold it for a million dollars.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Now I should you definitely should have, because now it's
- 11:53Speaker 1: worth nothing.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Ye, that double Horseman was worth a little bit of
- 12:00Speaker 2: sunk back in the day, but not anymore.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very true as well. I don't think when
- 12:04Speaker 1: I pulled it it was worth anything either, But because
- 12:08Speaker 1: it was. It was far too late in the life
- 12:10Speaker 1: cycle and people realized horsemen weren't that good.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Damn.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But that does it for our early blorbs. So who
- 12:20Speaker 1: wants to make fun of ghost Galaxy? Next? For just
- 12:23Speaker 1: now trying to partner with people for twenty twenty six
- 12:25Speaker 1: National Championships.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Well, while you're there, I will you can go through that.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But I do give them props. They made some five
- 12:33Speaker 2: ultra exclusive prints they're trying. They connected it to Portland,
- 12:37Speaker 2: so each each of these images is unique.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I like it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: There are people who really like the more wolves and
- 12:45Speaker 2: it is a sweet print. I will give them credit there.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So before we go, well done, it's gonna look great,
- 12:52Speaker 2: all right.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Now I'm excited to get that, yep.
- 12:56Speaker 1: But National Championship well okay, so I get it. Like
- 12:59Speaker 1: more Wolves Portland, the more wolves, the team, the key
- 13:04Speaker 1: competitive key forge team is the more wolves they're in
- 13:07Speaker 1: that that Portland area, that that's like their home.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:13Speaker 3: What's the chance wayn get St. Louis to be.
- 13:17Speaker 1: What what would stl would Saint Louis be?
- 13:24Speaker 2: Well, it hasn't been chosen, so what would Yeah, what
- 13:26Speaker 2: would you guys?
- 13:27Speaker 5: Like?
- 13:27Speaker 1: You can put it in for now Louis. Compare Louis
- 13:32Speaker 1: and then what is it? Is it redacted for uh
- 13:37Speaker 1: for Baltimore?
- 13:38Speaker 5: For Baltimore, Yeah, over over the Baywitch something or other
- 13:41Speaker 5: because that would be similar to Portland.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Oh shoot, I forgot about the Bay Witches. But there's
- 13:47Speaker 1: no Baywitch card. But there is a there is a
- 13:49Speaker 1: redacted card.
- 13:50Speaker 5: True, I mean there's there's like, uh, there are in
- 13:55Speaker 5: terms of.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Custom arts, like.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that I think that'd actually be weird
- 14:03Speaker 3: to use a person custom mark card for.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It might be a little strange.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Witch queen.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Mean witches.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean there's a couple of things you could
- 14:16Speaker 2: do with it.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Well, we'll have to just wait and see what they
- 14:22Speaker 1: choose for all the other ones. Then after that one,
- 14:26Speaker 1: they released another article they're looking for partners for the
- 14:30Speaker 1: twenty twenty twenty twenty six National Keyboards Championships for I'm
- 14:35Speaker 1: guessing this is all overseas and it's not a guess
- 14:39Speaker 1: because that's just how they do things now.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, And then go.
- 14:47Speaker 1: This is this is this is this is your spot
- 14:49Speaker 1: you walk, This is where you complain.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I don't have anything.
- 14:54Speaker 1: What do you mean, April? It is Q We are
- 14:58Speaker 1: at the end of Q one.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Dude, if they ran it in the past and they
- 15:03Speaker 3: want to run it again, it's not like there's anything
- 15:07Speaker 3: surprising here.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But you know, sure because people obviously, people in Europe's
- 15:17Speaker 1: time is just a lot easier to spend than people
- 15:19Speaker 1: in the US's time. They're not as busy over there. Huh.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Well, they're looking it between August first and October fourth,
- 15:27Speaker 2: so it still is a ways away. They had reached
- 15:31Speaker 2: out earlier, and you have who you've run in the past,
- 15:34Speaker 2: So this is just another plea in my opinion, Right,
- 15:38Speaker 2: am I missing something?
- 15:39Speaker 3: This is this is the like, oh, maybe there's somebody
- 15:41Speaker 3: who hasn't run one in the past. I would want to.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you think or is this nobody's asked us yet?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Hey guys, I mean we are the cockroach of dead
- 15:54Speaker 1: card games.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Hey we've survived. Yeah, we've survived all their games. So
- 16:02Speaker 2: I think we're fine. And I think there's some vibrant scenes.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I mean, you can go ahead and look at Brazil,
- 16:08Speaker 2: which is super excited to have their vault that's coming.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Vietnam looks like it's going to have an incredible turnout.
- 16:15Speaker 2: France is coming up over the fourth of July with good,
- 16:17Speaker 2: good numbers.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I think it's I think we're shipping a sheep over there,
- 16:22Speaker 1: aren't We Still long shot? Still a long shot? Okay, Wow.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I think that it's a little bit odd to have
- 16:33Speaker 2: nationals and vaults still.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But I don't know why we just don't call them
- 16:37Speaker 1: all vaults because there's really no distinction between the two vaults.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Are vaults are run by have far more control over
- 16:52Speaker 5: vaults than they do?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yeah, nationals, I think it just comes down to control.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I agree with that, but outside of it, it's I
- 17:01Speaker 2: don't know. I don't think there's enough discrepancy. I think
- 17:03Speaker 2: they're both premier events. I I think back in FFG era,
- 17:10Speaker 2: it was potentially the larger player base and so the
- 17:15Speaker 2: separation was a little bit more distinct, but not even
- 17:18Speaker 2: at that point, it still was not terribly different.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Maybe that's my hot take, but is there really a
- 17:26Speaker 2: need for us to have vaults and nationals or can
- 17:29Speaker 2: we just claim that they're all vaults the nationals because
- 17:33Speaker 2: they're all premier events.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Nationals, well, yes, but nationals have lesser prizing and they're
- 17:38Speaker 3: cheaper to run. They don't have the same people or
- 17:44Speaker 3: minimum people space requirements there they are a tier down.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I hear that, But here's my here's my question, why
- 17:52Speaker 2: are we setting those parameters? Can we just all place
- 17:55Speaker 2: them at the national level instead of all the vault?
- 17:58Speaker 2: Would that go ahead and draw more people in? Is
- 18:02Speaker 2: that really limiting factor at this point?
- 18:05Speaker 1: I just think it's semantics at this point. I don't
- 18:08Speaker 1: think it really.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Well, I guess that's where I'm at. It is like,
- 18:10Speaker 2: in my opinion, I think that we're enjoying.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Different tier events with different prizing, so therefore they're different.
- 18:18Speaker 2: We've established Yeah, GG has established them as different, but
- 18:23Speaker 2: really do they need to be That's the question.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I mean, do you want thirty two cap player vaults?
- 18:33Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Does Nationals cap at thirty two?
- 18:38Speaker 3: It depends they have far more ability to cap Nationals
- 18:43Speaker 3: due to play based size, like they can. That's up
- 18:47Speaker 3: to the store who's running it. And as we remember,
- 18:50Speaker 3: we see in the past that only have Yeah, there's
- 18:54Speaker 3: some twenty four player Nationals going on.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Well there was the Nationals that had four people?
- 18:59Speaker 3: Was it was.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It for last year for one of the Alliance matches.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I'd have to go back into our counter cannup.
- 19:05Speaker 3: For that and yeah, wait, wait, don't count alliance.
- 19:07Speaker 2: That's just well, but it was, it was.
- 19:10Speaker 1: It was a count that matters, Yes, it is. This
- 19:16Speaker 1: is the only thing that now matters anymore is the
- 19:19Speaker 1: sealed head count.
- 19:23Speaker 2: But if that's all that, Matt, if that's all that matters,
- 19:26Speaker 2: our max sealed head count has gotten us to what
- 19:30Speaker 2: like that? That's what I'm saying, is it really necessary
- 19:34Speaker 2: for us to separate out? I know that we have
- 19:36Speaker 2: different prizing, we have different amounts, but.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I guess I'm kind of shrugging my shoulders. It going,
- 19:43Speaker 2: they're all what we're going to see as premiere events.
- 19:49Speaker 2: You have a lot of the same individuals who are attending.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Sure, but why why do they Why would they be.
- 19:54Speaker 2: The same, Why would they not be the same?
- 19:58Speaker 1: Why why are they different?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Because one is run to the Vault Tour standard and
- 20:04Speaker 3: the other one is not.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Man theory something like allow adaptive make it crazy?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Well, they can they can play nationals at vaults, or
- 20:21Speaker 3: they can play Adaptive at vaults too. It's just not
- 20:24Speaker 3: one of the three core formats.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Right that adapt at all? Is it?
- 20:32Speaker 2: Well, what I'm saying, it's not one of the recognized
- 20:35Speaker 2: the need to.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Talk to adaptive guys that hard.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm not just it's just, it's well, it's the rule book.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I don't know what you want me to do, Like
- 20:46Speaker 1: I guess, I'm just.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Isn't a format? And it is?
- 20:52Speaker 1: But but we're not like, hey, we need to have
- 20:56Speaker 1: a vault tour where shutter is a format, Like we're
- 20:59Speaker 1: not get like that.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Well, but but if we look at nationals how they've
- 21:04Speaker 2: been running the past. Everyone is still running Alliance Sealed
- 21:07Speaker 2: and arcan. They are on different days so that each
- 21:11Speaker 2: gets its own day internationally versus what we see here Stateside.
- 21:17Speaker 2: But if you if you look at it outside of
- 21:20Speaker 2: prizing and the requirements for having a higher cap amount
- 21:25Speaker 2: for Vault tour, like one and two both qualify for
- 21:28Speaker 2: Worlds at nationals and at Worlds. So again the real
- 21:33Speaker 2: question do we need to separate out and really differentiate
- 21:38Speaker 2: nationals from worlds? Is it worth that separation?
- 21:42Speaker 1: In the title, I.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Thought we all said yes to this and just keep
- 21:44Speaker 3: saying but.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Do we No, I don't think. I think I think
- 21:48Speaker 1: you're the only one that said I don't know why
- 21:51Speaker 1: we need to differential, like just call them all one thing.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, like, why the same thing, because we've established that.
- 21:59Speaker 2: But my question is why why does it matter at all?
- 22:08Speaker 3: There?
- 22:08Speaker 5: I think there's something cool about that terminology to be
- 22:12Speaker 5: the national champion of something attract and.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Draw, but is it okay? So like the which is
- 22:21Speaker 1: bigger a national like I'm a national champion or I'm
- 22:25Speaker 1: a Vault Warrior, which has more draw there?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Obviously Vault Warrior clearly well here right, because way more
- 22:35Speaker 3: accolades and titles and dinner. It comes with a dinner.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I guess that's the big difference.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Dinner. I always forget about the day I'm dinner because
- 22:45Speaker 1: some of us haven't won a vault tour, so we
- 22:47Speaker 1: don't get a dinner. Some of us did win a
- 22:50Speaker 1: vault to her and still don't get a dinner.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Would you like to be my plus one? This year?
- 22:58Speaker 1: They allowed this one? Sir, No, they don't have enough.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Only imagine the clowns that would show off with plus
- 23:05Speaker 3: one that way, here's my here's here's my here's my
- 23:13Speaker 3: twelve and a half foot tall plus one and it's
- 23:16Speaker 3: you know, Wookie with Ewok on his shoulders. I'm drazzing
- 23:20Speaker 3: his shoulders in a trench cout.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd be amazed we could do it. Yeah, we
- 23:24Speaker 1: got this, that's right.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I do think I mean to go back to it.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I will say I think the Vault Tour status is higher,
- 23:35Speaker 2: like it is seen as a larger accomplishment, but to
- 23:40Speaker 2: take down any event is still a big accomplishment. And
- 23:44Speaker 2: you're all getting into worlds. The difference is you get
- 23:47Speaker 2: a trophy and you have I got three.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I can make trophies for anything you want a trophy for.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You want a trophy for Star Championships, I can make
- 24:00Speaker 1: you on.
- 24:01Speaker 3: If you actually read here, Nationals are functionally capped at thirty.
- 24:06Speaker 2: They only provide I can read that correct.
- 24:10Speaker 3: So there's just a different tier of event.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yes, I mean if you read further though, they do
- 24:16Speaker 2: say that they are GIGI is willing to work with
- 24:18Speaker 2: you if you feel that you have a larger size
- 24:22Speaker 2: and they can potentially provide two different can if you have.
- 24:25Speaker 3: A truly larger size than you want a vault or
- 24:27Speaker 3: you can go through the Shenanigans to run an actual
- 24:30Speaker 3: vault ye, which includes I think that's how much this is.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I guess for me, the realization there is that the
- 24:41Speaker 2: separation between Nationals and vaults is pretty antiquated at this
- 24:44Speaker 2: point that it's not really necessary. I think it's more
- 24:48Speaker 2: regional silly decks. Yeah, no, don't they get don't they get?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Don't they don't get? They don't not national?
- 24:59Speaker 1: But which it.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Would it pissed j mL off or if if all
- 25:05Speaker 5: the nationals got.
- 25:08Speaker 4: If whatever whatever version of this argument.
- 25:13Speaker 3: It.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, So did I just switch sides?
- 25:17Speaker 1: No, you didn't because Canada, Canada only gets a national
- 25:21Speaker 1: they don't get a vault to her.
- 25:24Speaker 4: They don't get sack out right.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Right, So j I'm still yeah, So all right, I
- 25:30Speaker 1: went back to ship side no vote. We had a flop.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Dras came over here and you you walked over to.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I just don't think it matters.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I got to cant vault masters out of the hands
- 25:43Speaker 1: of jam whatever.
- 25:47Speaker 2: There some separating points, and yes, I think that we
- 25:51Speaker 2: have established what those points are, but I just don't
- 25:54Speaker 2: think they really matter in the long term.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I don't.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I think it'd be easier just to have one term.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I don't care what you're gonna call it.
- 26:01Speaker 3: And I think there is back in logistics that make
- 26:04Speaker 3: that harder to do than your thinking about.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Going forward, We're now gonna.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Call it beyond beyond the dinner and and and Vault
- 26:13Speaker 1: Master decks. What what else is there?
- 26:17Speaker 3: I mean those are two big ones.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I mean they are. I mean every year the dinner
- 26:25Speaker 1: gets a little bit bigger. At what point are they like, man,
- 26:30Speaker 1: we can't afford this dinner no more?
- 26:31Speaker 3: And uh you are? I actually don't know what their
- 26:36Speaker 3: requiredness for charging for Vault Tours is now, but like
- 26:39Speaker 3: Nationals have always been cheaper than Vault Tours fair.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I mean, you don't get a goodie bag at a Nationals,
- 26:47Speaker 1: you do at a Vault Tour. I guess that's.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Whatever you do. You get one deck.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Listen, I like my key Forde draw string bags. Okay,
- 26:58Speaker 1: they hold a lot. One's holding a first aid kit
- 27:02Speaker 1: right now. One is holding a lot of the like
- 27:06Speaker 1: emergency supplies in both of my vehicles, right, So I
- 27:10Speaker 1: got I got one in one in the Saturn, one
- 27:13Speaker 1: in the Kia. Right So, I mean I'm running out.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I need more. I don't need I leave.
- 27:21Speaker 3: People event much like I do with my decks.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I still got my store championship deck
- 27:29Speaker 1: on open one day, I'll play it. Where did it go?
- 27:32Speaker 2: There it is, speaking of sheep, how was key Forge
- 27:35Speaker 2: for you this past week?
- 27:39Speaker 3: It was fine?
- 27:41Speaker 1: What are you poking at?
- 27:45Speaker 3: We played our Doork Championship Amber Skies and I lost
- 27:49Speaker 3: to the new guy.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Okay, our new guy did take down danger Boat. Congrats me,
- 27:55Speaker 2: good for him? Down our sealed?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, good for him.
- 27:58Speaker 2: What's the what's the I was are poking sheep about
- 28:01Speaker 2: losing things?
- 28:02Speaker 1: But oh, why wouldn't you public, mister perfect for not
- 28:05Speaker 1: even showing up?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah, well we have to poke you then for not
- 28:09Speaker 2: showing up.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I mean, my wife married, has zero children.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Hey, we don't know if he was really restricted from
- 28:22Speaker 2: being able to come out. I mean there there was
- 28:24Speaker 2: a boy Scout group that was out a couple of
- 28:26Speaker 2: weeks before he was.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I feel like we crossed. I feel like we crossed
- 28:38Speaker 1: a territory. Were across.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, those are private storage out because those aren't for
- 28:43Speaker 3: public consumption.
- 28:44Speaker 2: We love perfect and that is not it at all,
- 28:48Speaker 2: loves the right term.
- 28:49Speaker 1: But pick up perfect that there you go, there you go.
- 28:53Speaker 1: You love our locals all all of them. Got a
- 28:55Speaker 1: puffer vest here. I could make an a And we.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Also need to be more positive sheep, So come on,
- 29:03Speaker 2: be more positive positive.
- 29:07Speaker 3: I know positive when there's something to be positive about.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Sheep is the right amount of positive about KeyForge. I
- 29:14Speaker 1: will give him that he's the correct amount of positive. DRez.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Do you agree with this statement that Sheep is positive?
- 29:22Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no no. Hold on, I said he
- 29:24Speaker 1: is the correct amount of positive, not that he's right.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He is the correct amount of positive when it comes
- 29:31Speaker 1: to Keyfge. No, no, no.
- 29:33Speaker 2: This game is alive and we have organized play in
- 29:38Speaker 2: a vault tour. This is good, and we have a
- 29:42Speaker 2: storyline of logically separate nationals.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's I mean, we can agree, but whatever,
- 29:51Speaker 1: all right, that was not the purpose of this week's episode.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I don't even know how we went down the broad
- 29:57Speaker 1: I more wanted to poke fun at them because I'm like,
- 29:59Speaker 1: listen and it's Q two and they're just now trying
- 30:02Speaker 1: to get Nationals going. Okay, not just.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Trying to get Nationals going, they're just putting up the
- 30:07Speaker 3: official postume. Like I said, if you were running Nationals
- 30:10Speaker 3: in the past, you already know what you're doing for
- 30:12Speaker 3: this year. Probably, I guess if.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You want to go ahead and resubmit for that, all right, Like,
- 30:20Speaker 2: there are some areas that did. Look at they've held
- 30:23Speaker 2: vaults in the past, and they have chosen not to
- 30:25Speaker 2: run them this year. So again we need to poke
- 30:28Speaker 2: the bear and keep things changed.
- 30:31Speaker 3: I think coming and going has far more to do
- 30:34Speaker 3: with the cost and how much they lost running the
- 30:37Speaker 3: vault than it is that they would actually want to do.
- 30:40Speaker 3: It's just the fact that they lose money running them
- 30:41Speaker 3: and they go, hey, it.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Stinks we've run this. Yes, we know this. So we
- 30:46Speaker 2: appreciate all of the different locations that are running vaults
- 30:50Speaker 2: and for those that again have the option to run
- 30:52Speaker 2: nationals at a different price point, and we appreciate all that.
- 30:59Speaker 5: Do we think there's than be any new nationals this
- 31:01Speaker 5: year like any that did not run at previous years.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna lie to as I think you're
- 31:06Speaker 1: going to see a lot less.
- 31:09Speaker 3: How could there be a lot less than last year?
- 31:13Speaker 1: How many were there last last year?
- 31:16Speaker 3: Not many?
- 31:17Speaker 1: I feel like there was quite a few, like a.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Half dozen, right there was?
- 31:22Speaker 3: There was not many?
- 31:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean they're definitely not leaning into the internet.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Compared to the first year. There was a huge reduction.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Compared to year one. Yes, yes, you are not incorrect
- 31:38Speaker 1: at all. There I can't. I can't tell you you're wrong, but.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Yep, yes it has deep We're going to the source
- 31:50Speaker 3: that knows things.
- 31:52Speaker 1: They keep arkan Arkana people.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Yeah, eleve countries, thirty three champions, so there's thirty three
- 32:01Speaker 3: nash for there were eleven nationals and twenty five.
- 32:07Speaker 1: How many?
- 32:07Speaker 4: It's actually more than I remembered.
- 32:13Speaker 3: It looks like there might have only been ten and
- 32:15Speaker 3: twenty four.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Really were there more four?
- 32:24Speaker 3: I guess maybe it was similar. Maybe it's been pretty
- 32:26Speaker 3: similar right around.
- 32:29Speaker 1: The ten to twelve, around twelve.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So even as I pull up our old
- 32:37Speaker 2: you know, international vaults from last year sealed, because that's
- 32:41Speaker 2: what you guys said was our numbers that we're looking at.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Well, that's the one that shows you your actual size
- 32:46Speaker 3: of the event.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Correct.
- 32:48Speaker 2: So Spain had thirty eights at the end of October,
- 32:52Speaker 2: you had the twenty seventh for Vietnam, was thirty three
- 32:56Speaker 2: for Sealed, and thirty five with for China. So even
- 33:02Speaker 2: just looking at those numbers, you know we're still sub forty.
- 33:07Speaker 2: So yes, technically a cap of thirty two limits some people,
- 33:10Speaker 2: which I don't want to see. But that's interesting.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Depressing. When are we going to found our own country.
- 33:22Speaker 5: We can do our own Where.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Are we going to rent a cruise ship and just
- 33:26Speaker 1: do what?
- 33:26Speaker 2: We have a cruise ship now?
- 33:28Speaker 3: Now everybody spending all their money to go to freaking Vietnam.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Yeah that's true. That's true.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean Vietnam is an amazing location that
- 33:38Speaker 2: we all need to go to, is it?
- 33:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be awesome. I'm pretty excited.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Now if you are not going to because now what
- 33:50Speaker 5: prices and tickets have gone up because fuel?
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so jell Yeah, jet fuel is uh definitely a problem.
- 33:58Speaker 2: And if you have no already booked, definitely look at it.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Yeah that I should have drazz what what what?
- 34:07Speaker 2: What day are you looking at being able to go in?
- 34:10Speaker 2: Are you flying in early?
- 34:12Speaker 4: M No, I'm just gonna do the dates that Ricu suggested.
- 34:18Speaker 4: That was my thought at least.
- 34:20Speaker 2: So are you going to be showing up right before
- 34:24Speaker 2: the vault?
- 34:27Speaker 4: Uh?
- 34:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like probably the night before, Like I I
- 34:31Speaker 5: gotta look at specific flight times, right, but yeah, probably
- 34:36Speaker 5: night before and then.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Do the.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Okay, because the vault is the fourteen fifteen, sixteenth.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Yep, yep, yeah, the running because we're in Philly.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Twenty to thirty hours of travel time.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that's gonna be right.
- 35:00Speaker 3: To thirty hours of flying and transferring plane to plane time.
- 35:05Speaker 3: That doesn't include other transportation.
- 35:08Speaker 2: No, no, no, this is not this is not all
- 35:11Speaker 2: flight time. You have quite a bit that is.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Changed transfer playing the plane. But it's you're from I
- 35:19Speaker 3: mean bars Off. Yeah, you're going to be on a
- 35:23Speaker 3: plane for what like fifteen to like sixteen hours.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Probably it's gonna depending on your route.
- 35:32Speaker 5: So because it's harder now to go through the Middle East, right,
- 35:36Speaker 5: so now you're going the other way, right, you're going
- 35:40Speaker 5: through one or Hong Kong or Sale or like. So, yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 5: there's not really there's not really much. The way it
- 35:51Speaker 5: direct flights I did there is a direct flight from
- 35:55Speaker 5: San Francisco, So theory you could you could fly to
- 36:02Speaker 5: San Francisco and then fly direct, which isn't really direct
- 36:06Speaker 5: if you're not in San Francisco.
- 36:07Speaker 4: But but instead.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Of changing uh in Asia, you can change in San
- 36:12Speaker 5: Francisco if if you felt like that was the thing,
- 36:15Speaker 5: I actually might do because my sister lives in San Francisco, so.
- 36:22Speaker 4: That and you know, that might be a thing.
- 36:24Speaker 5: But I think ticket prices will make a difference, right
- 36:28Speaker 5: because it is going to be times four for me.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so you're bringing everybody, He's bringing everyone.
- 36:36Speaker 4: So like it was, yeah, we're in Philly.
- 36:42Speaker 5: The uh so uh the yeah. Like I was like
- 36:49Speaker 5: talking to my wife, I was like, so there's this
- 36:52Speaker 5: like ball tour Vietnam and like, you know this guy
- 37:00Speaker 5: ever recoup But she always laughs because we use fake
- 37:04Speaker 5: internet names. Is like offering to host and show people
- 37:07Speaker 5: around and stuff. Next thing I know, she's telling the kids,
- 37:10Speaker 5: we're going to Vietnam. So I'm like, okay, I guess
- 37:12Speaker 5: we're now you're going yip.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Yeah if I can figure out some crazy way to
- 37:20Speaker 3: get a bunch of time off of work that I
- 37:21Speaker 3: have no idea how I'm gonna do. I don't know
- 37:23Speaker 3: if I could see going and not bringing my kid,
- 37:26Speaker 3: but at thirteen, I also don't know if that would be.
- 37:29Speaker 1: He'd be interested.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Well I know he would be interested, but how much
- 37:35Speaker 3: can't we do because I have a thirteen year old.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Well, I mean I will have a.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Fifteen and a seventeen, so oh boy, oh boy, this
- 37:45Speaker 1: could spell danger.
- 37:49Speaker 5: So so yeah, I either just have to bite the
- 37:57Speaker 5: bullet and buy tickets now, or roll the dice that
- 38:01Speaker 5: they're going to come down in a month, but I
- 38:03Speaker 5: shouldn't be too much longer.
- 38:05Speaker 1: They're not.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you they're not gonna come down
- 38:07Speaker 2: with what we have worn the Middle East with where
- 38:13Speaker 2: you're just it's not yeah, it's not coming down, so
- 38:18Speaker 2: draz I mean even just just earlier this week, the
- 38:22Speaker 2: CEO of Americans said, if you have not bought your
- 38:24Speaker 2: tickets for summer, it's just going to go up, and
- 38:27Speaker 2: that's what they're expecting. That being said, I still think
- 38:31Speaker 2: it's going to be a great time. I would I
- 38:34Speaker 2: would let people know that if you are flying into
- 38:37Speaker 2: Vietnam for the Vault Tour, you do actually need to
- 38:40Speaker 2: have a visa, and that was something that I did
- 38:43Speaker 2: not know ahead of time. So that's ninety days, so
- 38:46Speaker 2: plan on that it is not showing up. Like when
- 38:49Speaker 2: I go to Aruba, I can go on the flights
- 38:51Speaker 2: and grab it, but for Vietnam it needs me ninety days.
- 38:54Speaker 2: It's easy enough to fill out and it's still very
- 38:58Speaker 2: very open. The other thing to be aware of is, yes,
- 39:02Speaker 2: we already talked about the drastic time difference, so flight
- 39:07Speaker 2: is there. You're kind of multiple different days from the Midwest,
- 39:11Speaker 2: I can actually fly out of Chicago and we can
- 39:13Speaker 2: go Lax and then Lax to Tokyo, and then from
- 39:18Speaker 2: Tokyo it's another six hours to Vietnam to Chi minh
- 39:21Speaker 2: our segan. So yes, looking at that, there is no
- 39:26Speaker 2: direct direct flight, but be aware that some Chinese airlines
- 39:30Speaker 2: have actually canceled flights from the US. So I definitely
- 39:35Speaker 2: I stayed away from China that reason.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't China air for.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Just to be aware.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Mean there's definitely I was. I was looking up different
- 39:52Speaker 5: uh airlines. There's some Taiwanese airline that had good prices
- 39:56Speaker 5: that seemed yep, Cambo a good airline, just based on
- 40:02Speaker 5: what I was reading.
- 40:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm I'm very I think it's going to
- 40:10Speaker 2: be an amazing Yeah. I think it's gonna be an
- 40:12Speaker 2: amazing vaults and an amazing trip and experience as a whole.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So sheep, Wookie, you should definitely get your butts there.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Ah, I'll give it happen.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Just drop two grand on that ticket.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I will definitely think about it. How's that? How does
- 40:39Speaker 1: that sound to everybody?
- 40:41Speaker 4: Yes? Yeah, you know.
- 40:44Speaker 2: What, I I know you're not a big flyer, Wookie,
- 40:47Speaker 2: what do we got to do and entice you?
- 40:49Speaker 1: What do you got to do to entice me? Yes,
- 40:51Speaker 1: that's a lot of money, has a lot of money.
- 40:55Speaker 1: It's a lot of money. And I don't know if
- 41:01Speaker 1: I could really like justify a trip to a foreign
- 41:07Speaker 1: country without Amanda.
- 41:12Speaker 2: What if there was a magical way that you did
- 41:17Speaker 2: not have to pay the money, but.
- 41:21Speaker 1: You were able to.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Go with the team. With the team, so it means
- 41:27Speaker 2: it's just you. So if money was not if if
- 41:30Speaker 2: money's not the restriction for you, if it.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Was just if money wasn't a restriction, I'd probably be there. Okay,
- 41:38Speaker 1: it would be a problem, remember the family. No, but
- 41:43Speaker 1: do remember I am trying to buy a house right now,
- 41:47Speaker 1: so easy crushers are expensive houses are, and well.
- 41:55Speaker 2: They seemed to be getting more expensive every day.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And I was saying they seem to be going up.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Well and rates are going back up too now.
- 42:04Speaker 1: So rates are going back up and uh, well we'll see.
- 42:09Speaker 1: It's it's a it's a long story right now, actually
- 42:12Speaker 1: working with with our deal, with our our person, our
- 42:17Speaker 1: real did you just say, dealer.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Get me one line of house because just a little
- 42:26Speaker 6: bit it's all I need one more, just one more.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Working with our our agent and I was told to
- 42:34Speaker 1: maybe hold off for a little bit, and I was
- 42:38Speaker 1: like really, and then she's like, yeah, I would and
- 42:42Speaker 1: I was like okay, so well we'll see. It depends,
- 42:47Speaker 1: you know. It's like I told my wife, Uh, wherever
- 42:53Speaker 1: we move, I'm dying in that place.
- 42:55Speaker 5: So make sure it's like is I mean, it's a
- 43:05Speaker 5: lot to move. And then and then if you find
- 43:08Speaker 5: a place you like, right, you know, like want to
- 43:11Speaker 5: move again.
- 43:12Speaker 1: No I don't. I don't ever like I don't ever
- 43:14Speaker 1: want to move again. I want to move into a
- 43:16Speaker 1: house and barring like the deal of a lifetime or
- 43:21Speaker 1: like the house of a life time, you know, barring
- 43:24Speaker 1: anything crazy, right, something like that, I will die wherever
- 43:31Speaker 1: wherever we move next.
- 43:33Speaker 2: See you say this. I just thought, you know, your
- 43:37Speaker 2: beautiful wife, and man, it was gonna take you out there.
- 43:39Speaker 1: But I mean that's ever that is always also a possibility.
- 43:44Speaker 1: It is I mean, you guys and and already hate me.
- 43:50Speaker 1: She has to see me every day. House this this sea,
- 43:57Speaker 1: see or somewhere with like a place that I can
- 44:00Speaker 1: just be right like.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Bicking off house. They'll be bury in the backyard.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Do my projects and uh talk to to internet people
- 44:11Speaker 1: online and play Vida games three D prints all day.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I have this sweet, sweet gaming computer I bought from
- 44:23Speaker 1: my store like two and a half years ago. I've
- 44:26Speaker 1: yet to load a single video game onto.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Uh, yeah, I can enjoy.
- 44:35Speaker 4: I just got a new computer. I've enjoying uh sper.
- 44:39Speaker 5: Punk actually, but oh yeah, yeah it's yeah, it's a
- 44:45Speaker 5: ton of fun. Briefly, it's fun enough where I briefly
- 44:50Speaker 5: was like, maybe I should like back kickstart this card game.
- 44:52Speaker 4: But I'm like, no, actually, no, I definitely don't want.
- 44:55Speaker 1: You don't want to drop eight grand on the Hyper
- 44:57Speaker 1: Deluxe Bundle with all the all the stuff.
- 45:02Speaker 4: No no.
- 45:04Speaker 5: I was like, maybe maybe I'll do one of the
- 45:06Speaker 5: small tiers, but I was like.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Nah, I don't read. Yeah.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Yeah, if only there was another game you could Yeah,
- 45:14Speaker 1: if only there was another game you could drop like
- 45:16Speaker 1: eight grand on, I'm sure they'd be appreciative.
- 45:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I could just buy multiple art pledges, right, Yeah,
- 45:25Speaker 5: what's this traffic?
- 45:26Speaker 1: I think not. I think you should get an art
- 45:29Speaker 1: pledge for everyone in your family and your pets.
- 45:33Speaker 4: I don't how many pets but you know, well you
- 45:35Speaker 4: get you need to get.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Some for the art project and then you can return
- 45:40Speaker 1: it back be like I got the picture. I just
- 45:43Speaker 1: needed a puppy. Puppy for the picture. It's ten thirty
- 45:47Speaker 1: at night.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Why why is it? Why is it? Why are we
- 45:50Speaker 4: stopped to the highway?
- 45:52Speaker 1: This sucks because you live in Philadelphia? Yeah, that's why. Yes,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I don't know where you think you live. Some I'm
- 46:01Speaker 1: sorry for your loss. Like light up ahead, Well we
- 46:06Speaker 1: were going to talk about first turn plays today. That
- 46:09Speaker 1: didn't happen.
- 46:11Speaker 3: No, I didn't.
- 46:12Speaker 1: It sure didn't. Where are we at on time? Oh?
- 46:15Speaker 5: I mean we got I like to flop horseman first turn?
- 46:21Speaker 1: That's not no I did. I was beating up Pete
- 46:25Speaker 1: with horsemen. That's where we started because the SaaS Champs.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Pete thought he was just going to come in and
- 46:32Speaker 1: swoop and take me out. Uh. And then and then
- 46:35Speaker 1: I was like I was because I was at seven
- 46:38Speaker 1: and I'm like, please like take me off key because
- 46:41Speaker 1: this will be funny. And then he took me all
- 46:43Speaker 1: the way down to one and I'm like, well, no, ship,
- 46:45Speaker 1: now I can't do it. But if he would have
- 46:48Speaker 1: taken me down to five, just just short of of
- 46:51Speaker 1: of of uh, just short of forging a key. I
- 46:55Speaker 1: could have key abducted him for the third key, which
- 46:58Speaker 1: would have been the funniest thing ever, because it is
- 47:01Speaker 1: not it is It is not like it has no
- 47:05Speaker 1: way to draw cards, just has archivists in it. And
- 47:09Speaker 1: he took his sweet time killing those things. And so
- 47:12Speaker 1: I've got two of those plus a replicator. Quick, everybody,
- 47:15Speaker 1: without looking it up, what does replicator do? Uh, it's
- 47:20Speaker 1: like reap effect of another creature.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Close.
- 47:24Speaker 4: I was gonna mix up with like mimic gel.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very close, because it's it is reap. You
- 47:30Speaker 1: can you can you can use you can what is it?
- 47:34Speaker 1: You can use the effect of another creature that is
- 47:42Speaker 1: on which I don't think it's necessarily a reap effect.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Either way, I wanted to archive cards, so it didn't
- 47:48Speaker 1: really matter. So I was like archivist archivist replicator and
- 47:52Speaker 1: they didn't kill him, and I was like, well, I'm
- 47:54Speaker 1: just gonna do it again archivist arcava. And then I
- 47:57Speaker 1: was like, holy shit, I could possibly key abduct if
- 47:59Speaker 1: he does the so that would be hilarious. And then
- 48:01Speaker 1: he took me all down and one couldn't.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Duct replicator two power mutants reap trigger the reap effective
- 48:07Speaker 2: that one of.
- 48:08Speaker 1: The first mutants, by the way, is if you.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Control that creature. Yes, it is a reffec a rep effect. Okay,
- 48:14Speaker 2: it says reap trigger the reap effect of another creature
- 48:17Speaker 2: in play.
- 48:18Speaker 1: I already wanted to already, I already knew what I
- 48:20Speaker 1: wanted to do with it, because I'm like, I want
- 48:22Speaker 1: to I want to archive cards. So we still got
- 48:28Speaker 1: to finish our game currently. That ducks up one oh,
- 48:32Speaker 1: and then like fifty eight. It's not it's not a
- 48:38Speaker 1: good deck. It was a good deck, just it just
- 48:42Speaker 1: has wow and and you want to know what's great
- 48:46Speaker 1: is it gets rid of all those crummy sanctum actions
- 48:49Speaker 1: that you had in coda right and just fills them
- 48:52Speaker 1: with creatures and turns out a low side way.
- 48:57Speaker 3: The only problem with double double Horseman is you end
- 49:00Speaker 3: up with too much creature controling that reape kill the
- 49:03Speaker 3: slowest power guy ends up killing.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Him sometimes is your creature. Yes, that is a problem.
- 49:08Speaker 1: That is a problem. But I mean when Pete walks
- 49:12Speaker 1: right into it, it's not a big deal. It's like, oh,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I have a two oh, Pete has a two power
- 49:18Speaker 1: creature too. I can just kill that thing because uh,
- 49:22Speaker 1: it's good times sheeps. I think at the top of
- 49:25Speaker 1: the leaderboard on the SaaS champs, how many do you shape?
- 49:28Speaker 3: Now that's that's probably dexter.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Oh does he have things to he? He does he
- 49:33Speaker 1: have things to do?
- 49:35Speaker 3: No, he's up. He's a student team from home.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Okay. I was like, man, how is he at the
- 49:47Speaker 1: top of everything.
- 49:52Speaker 3: Of key Forge?
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well he's not a bad player, but he also
- 49:57Speaker 1: like just has like ungodly amounts of time. I don't
- 50:02Speaker 1: understand where from And then not only that one, when
- 50:06Speaker 1: is when is the new minor season starting? I don't know, Sheep,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I need you to make.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Showed up and they're like, we don't want to find
- 50:16Speaker 3: with these there's more than nine people.
- 50:18Speaker 1: We don't know what to do. I was already. I
- 50:22Speaker 1: was like, let's let's do this. I still had a
- 50:25Speaker 1: lot of fun in minor. I'm having a lot of
- 50:27Speaker 1: fun with uh with uh Pete SaaS Championship too. Too
- 50:31Speaker 1: bad he didn't do like the draft score Championship. But
- 50:34Speaker 1: you know, hey, whatever, Pete, it's cool.
- 50:36Speaker 3: We we I I discussed that.
- 50:38Speaker 1: With him, and we still decided to go with sas.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Huh. Well, the issue is is that nobody has their
- 50:46Speaker 3: collection in drasscore, and outside of those of us right here,
- 50:50Speaker 3: nobody has enough entries to move their collection into dress Corps.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Got it? Got it?
- 50:57Speaker 3: Yeah, is run on very limited re sources, so we
- 51:00Speaker 3: can't just let people just mask down.
- 51:03Speaker 1: True ye true, Speaking of did you pull any uh?
- 51:07Speaker 1: Did you pull any uh April Fool Shenanigan's Drass Corps.
- 51:13Speaker 5: No, I've been I've been away at a conference. So
- 51:17Speaker 5: I just flew back from Colorado Springs, which.
- 51:21Speaker 4: I had never been to. Colorado Springs is beautiful, So.
- 51:25Speaker 1: What was what was the big When did they just
- 51:28Speaker 1: messed with scores on on SaaS? Yeah?
- 51:34Speaker 5: It was actually pretty hilarious, so like basically World's Collide rules,
- 51:38Speaker 5: So so basically that was like, oh, yeah, we like
- 51:39Speaker 5: bumped the scores of some cards that you know, counter
- 51:44Speaker 5: PV and so yeah, like my my, I had like
- 51:50Speaker 5: one hundred and fifty nine SaaS the World's Collide Deck
- 51:54Speaker 5: with like a legacy library access that I was like, yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 5: we're opening this deck and being like cool, a legacy
- 52:02Speaker 5: library access. But otherwise it was mediocre, But I guess,
- 52:06Speaker 5: you know, whatever. The goofy made up meta scores that
- 52:11Speaker 5: he added to the cards, so that for countering TV
- 52:16Speaker 5: really boosted it.
- 52:17Speaker 4: So it was I thought it was. I thought it
- 52:20Speaker 4: was fun, fun joke the day.
- 52:25Speaker 5: Yeah, so don't you guys look at what your top
- 52:31Speaker 5: score deck was on.
- 52:33Speaker 1: But I wish I would have now did I did?
- 52:40Speaker 3: It was?
- 52:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 52:42Speaker 3: It wasn't that funny to me?
- 52:44Speaker 4: It was okay, it wasn't.
- 52:48Speaker 1: It wasn't the deck that he paid the most money
- 52:50Speaker 1: for and that was immediately upset.
- 52:55Speaker 4: Was it a World's Glide deck because those seemed to
- 52:57Speaker 4: me to rocket to the top.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I think so. Yeah, all my world
- 53:03Speaker 3: Glide decks were at the top.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I did ask for ABR with our short league if
- 53:09Speaker 2: yesterday I could submit, because it's a eighty five SaaS reversal,
- 53:15Speaker 2: if I could submit, But that did not happen.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Oh I didn't. I did already submit.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I did yesterday. But it's it was amber Sky's talk
- 53:25Speaker 2: in gr so it really wasn't impacted it. It made
- 53:29Speaker 2: me laugh.
- 53:30Speaker 1: It was our joke. I would just like any of
- 53:35Speaker 1: my top Sas decks to be any good.
- 53:39Speaker 5: The Yeah, the top SaaS one I thought I saw
- 53:42Speaker 5: like the top Sas was like up to two D
- 53:44Speaker 5: and two or something like that. I took a screenshot
- 53:48Speaker 5: of the top Sas deck, but now I'm driving so
- 53:50Speaker 5: I can't look at it. But yeah, some random I
- 53:55Speaker 5: think it was World's Colide, some random World's Colide deck
- 53:58Speaker 5: was two two SaaS for for a day.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Beautiful.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Yeah, so, well didn't work to collide women.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Something over in? Where was it? It wasn't? Was it
- 54:14Speaker 1: another ones? Was it one of harms locals?
- 54:21Speaker 3: Was it a.
- 54:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 54:26Speaker 1: I thought it was. I thought it was a World's Glide. Next. Sorry,
- 54:30Speaker 1: I like that had been kind that would be kind
- 54:31Speaker 1: of cool, but it was well, sorry, guys, And.
- 54:38Speaker 5: I don't know if there was anything to you know,
- 54:43Speaker 5: Jacques being worlds Collide, that Dutch nove in that direction,
- 54:47Speaker 5: or they were just having fun adding a whole bunch
- 54:49Speaker 5: of points to various cards and that's just what popped
- 54:51Speaker 5: out the other side.
- 54:55Speaker 1: My guess. My guess is much like much much of
- 54:58Speaker 1: column B Want Something joke that it.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Was anti PV meta.
- 55:04Speaker 4: Yes, yes, what.
- 55:09Speaker 1: In World's Clide is exactly anti PV meta.
- 55:12Speaker 3: I don't know. Everything was okay to get discarded, so
- 55:15Speaker 3: it's worth a lot more sass.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Well, now it all makes sense.
- 55:24Speaker 5: It was like if you looked at it was like
- 55:29Speaker 5: super powerful. I'd like ever control it head like.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Creature Niffle ape can battle through uh taunt. So you know,
- 55:45Speaker 1: don't don't under aft, don't under evaluate the niffle. Okay, Yeah,
- 55:55Speaker 1: you learn your lesson. Sometimes Niffle a not not not
- 55:58Speaker 1: terrible not terrible.
- 56:00Speaker 3: Power flashes. Guys, I got power flashes going on.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually just had one too. So I think
- 56:06Speaker 1: if you are not from the Greater Wisconsin area, we
- 56:09Speaker 1: are having another one of those storms that might flood
- 56:12Speaker 1: all of it, that.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Might take another tree down of my house.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Well, yeah, last time it was snowy tree. This time
- 56:20Speaker 1: it's rainy tree. Right, But we are we are.
- 56:25Speaker 3: My yard might be soaked enough for a tree just
- 56:28Speaker 3: to fall out of it.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Well, I mean, we did have the flood last year
- 56:32Speaker 1: that stopped State Fair, and this one's kind of being
- 56:36Speaker 1: crazy too. So we'll see how this goes. But I
- 56:40Speaker 1: think this is where we'll end it. We kind of
- 56:42Speaker 1: had our BS talk. Can we talk about first turn
- 56:45Speaker 1: plays next week? Can we do that when Draascar is
- 56:48Speaker 1: not flying on a plane and I'm interesting because I
- 56:52Speaker 1: looked at some old school stuff when we talked about
- 56:55Speaker 1: this a few years ago, and things like the terror
- 56:58Speaker 1: came up. Uh yeah, was a treasure map or one
- 57:04Speaker 1: of the one of the maps? I can't remember it is.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Either of those cards. It's no longer good enough.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I know which is crazy?
- 57:13Speaker 2: Like?
- 57:13Speaker 1: What what are? What are the first turn plays? Let
- 57:15Speaker 1: us know what your first turn plays are. We'll get
- 57:19Speaker 1: a few. We'll get a few. Stirred up the thens
- 57:22Speaker 1: versus now is all right? And with that being said,
- 57:28Speaker 1: I think we'll see you all next week.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Be fortunate.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Everyone.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Feel free to release another article at any time so
- 57:39Speaker 1: we can talk about stuff.
- 57:42Speaker 2: May the Forge be with you.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Do Do Do, Do, Do do do put brand a
- 58:00Speaker 3: brand new? Can we on a brand new?
- 58:03Speaker 6: You know how we do?
- 58:11Speaker 3: Dun paid?
- 58:12Speaker 4: Which our brand new
