Whether it's a plane, train or restaurant, many of us naturally want the window seat. We want the view. Yet once we have it, it's surprisingly easy to spend the experience looking down at a smartphone instead. The phone and everything inside it will still be available later. The landscape, sunset, clouds or people passing outside that particular window won't.
