- 1:45Hello. Hello, good people.
- 1:47Yeah. So for anybody out there that

- 1:55Proverb guy can quit scratching the hell out of the microphone.

- 2:13We are trying to do a couple shows where we actually have a
- 2:16set topic or and what we're going to talk about and have a
- 2:20discussion. And tonight, we're going to talk
- 2:21about what happens, what happens with Christians that they commit
- 2:26suicide. Now, later on in the discussion,
- 2:29when people come in, if you're a pagan or a Muslim or Real
- 2:33whatever you want to come in and describe for us.
- 2:36What happens to you and your faith or non-belief are and what
- 2:40happens when you die in such a way you can let us know, and
- 2:44we're going to have some different discussions.
- 2:46We'll talk about some Bible verses and we'll talk about what
- 2:49some denominations and churches view on it.
- 2:52And of course we're going to express and share our view on
- 2:56this Proverbs guy, are you still with us?
- 2:58You look like you went red for a moment there.
- 3:01No, no, I just muted my mic. All right, cool.
- 3:05Cool. I guess I'll throw out a tough
- 3:09question at you there. Proverbs guy, because it's
- 3:11anybody checks out his channel. You're going to see that he's
- 3:14very biblically sound and he does a great deal of research.
- 3:18He also had a father who was a Hebrew, right mr.
- 3:22Proverbs guy, that is correct. Yep.
- 3:25Lifelong Torah Observer. Okay, so Proverbs guy you
- 3:30obviously believe that God has all the attributes that he is
- 3:33omniscient. Omnipresent all-powerful
- 3:36all-knowing and all these traits.
- 3:39Right? That's correct.
- 3:42And those are just the traits that we know of Right?
- 3:46If we look in the Book of Revelation, it talks about God
- 3:50being the one who holds the keys to life and death.
- 3:54Basically, he's control of all things, he controls all the
- 3:58mechanisms and the universe and how life works and exist.
- 4:02So, here's where it gets tricky, Proverbs guy.
- 4:05No matter how a person's life ends being that God knows
- 4:09everything, no matter if someone takes her life or they die
- 4:13naturally, or from some disease, Or something horrible.
- 4:16God is in full control and he knows our time.
- 4:20No matter what the case might be is that correct?
- 4:23And if it is correct, right? But the lamb burger.
- 4:27All right. So there's without question that
- 4:31God knows the time and place of our death that's indisputable
- 4:35but there's also other scripture verses like the one that says
- 4:39don't be foolish and die before your time which would tell me
- 4:43that we do have some say, over the In manner of our death,
- 4:47which can totally coexist with God being in complete control
- 4:51and knowing our time and us having some sort of saying it,
- 4:55like living recklessly smoking, cigarettes getting cancer
- 4:58driving fast, being in a car accident that the two don't
- 5:02counter each other whatsoever. So it's totally possible that
- 5:06God can know millions of years before he even thought about
- 5:10creating the Earth the very time and place.
- 5:12We were going to die but that doesn't exactly.
- 5:15Really mean that we had to be ordained to die in that moment.
- 5:18Or the scripture wouldn't tell us, not to be foolish and die
- 5:21before our time. Very good, very good.
- 5:26Now, I guess we can go a long with some Bible verses will fly
- 5:31through that and also have some discussions on these different
- 5:34things and First Corinthians 3:16-17.
- 5:39It says, do you not know that you are God's Temple and that
- 5:43God's spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's Temple,
- 5:48God will destroy him for God's Temple is Holy and do you are
- 5:52that Temple? When God speaks with pimples, is
- 5:56he? Speaking of our bodies or is he
- 5:58speaking of stone and building structures a missing mod?
- 6:03Yeah. So God is definitely talking
- 6:05about our bodies. We are the the temple, The
- 6:09Dwelling Place of the Living. God now, there's no need for an
- 6:13actual Temple of brick and mortar because the Holy Spirit
- 6:16actually able to dwell within us.
- 6:18And now, All right, and I agree with that.
- 6:23I agree that our bodies are temples, but there are people
- 6:27who unfortunately find themself in pretty rough positions like
- 6:31who've been in car accidents. Are they do suffer from some
- 6:34kind of genetic disorder or disease?
- 6:38These people who are fatally set to die.
- 6:43Should we have an issue if their parents or their family members?
- 6:46Let's say someone's brain dead. And someone decides that they
- 6:49need to pull Pull the plug on that.
- 6:51Is that a problem for the person who has to make that choice?
- 6:55And is that an issue for the person who's in the, the
- 6:58unfortunate state. So, that's a really interesting
- 7:03question Brett. And honestly, I don't even
- 7:07believe that specific situation is tied in with the category of
- 7:11suicide. As I'm pulling the plug, if your
- 7:15brain. Well for one thing, if you're
- 7:17brain dead, you really have option of whether or not the
- 7:20Pug, the plug is pulled. Unless of course you did a Order
- 7:24ahead of time saying, hey, if I'm ever brain-dead pull the
- 7:27plug, my other point, with that would be.
- 7:31It's the soul that brings us to life, right?
- 7:34The body, the the brain, these are things that help us become
- 7:39mechanical methodical. Give us the functionality of a
- 7:44living being but it's the soul that makes the personality.
- 7:48It's the soul that makes us an actual human being.
- 7:53And if R already brain dead to me, I recognize that the soul
- 7:58has already gone on to its next place.
- 8:00Whether that be Eternal damnation or being in heaven
- 8:05with the father or if you believe in Soul sleep, but I
- 8:08think it's very evident that if someone is brain dead and
- 8:12they're being kept alive. Live on life support.
- 8:14There's no soul there. There's no life in that body
- 8:17anymore. All we're doing is preserving
- 8:20the vessel that the soul left a long time ago.
- 8:23Proverbs are you familiar with a film called Red Line?
- 8:30That sounds really familiar. Refresh me.
- 8:33Well it's a movie basically about soldiers who are trying to
- 8:37make their way up an embankment in order to go after their
- 8:41opponent, their enemy. Well when the American soldiers
- 8:45are making their way up the hill unfortunately one of the
- 8:49soldiers pull out a grenade and he's prepared to throw it to
- 8:53take out the enemy but in doing so he accidentally slips the pin
- 8:58and drops the grenade in the Very Foxhole that his guys are
- 9:02in. He realized that he made a
- 9:04terrible mistake and he realizes that the grenade is most likely
- 9:08going to kill his entire platoon.
- 9:11So he Dives on the grenade, he knows he's not going to be able
- 9:14to fully stop the impact, but he feels with his body.
- 9:18Won't be able to do the shrapnel and take out his entire platoon.
- 9:22And that's exactly what happened.
- 9:24But it killed him obviously, it tore his insides up and ended
- 9:28his life when he did it. When a guy does this, when a guy
- 9:32makes a sacrifice to save his own platoon even though it was
- 9:35his own mistake with the grenade, does a guy like this
- 9:39have an opportunity to get through Judgment Day and make
- 9:43his way to heaven? Oh, absolutely Brett. 100%.
- 9:49As a matter of fact, we know that the word says there is no
- 9:52greater love than this, that a man lay down his life, for his
- 9:55brother, which is exactly what Christ Jesus did for us.
- 9:59So when you give up your life in a selfless act like that,
- 10:03there's no other act that you could ever perform to show more,
- 10:07love to your neighbor or your brother.
- 10:09And isn't that the second greatest commandment?
- 10:12Brett one would be that. You love the Lord God with All
- 10:15your heart. Mind soul, body strength.
- 10:17And the second greatest commandment is like this.
- 10:20Love your neighbor. Well, I agree with that, an amen
- 10:24to that, whenever we talk about Jesus.
- 10:27Jesus says that he gave his life freely.
- 10:31He doesn't say, they took my life.
- 10:33I gave my life freely. He also said repeatedly that if
- 10:37I wanted to bring forth angels, I wanted to stop this event.
- 10:40I could do it. I have the power to be able to
- 10:43do this. So, the question is, and I've
- 10:45heard some people actually blame different groups for why Jesus
- 10:49died. Nobody could have killed.
- 10:52Jesus, unless Jesus allowed the sacrifices, this true, or do you
- 10:56have a different way of looking at it?
- 10:58It is without a question that Christ Jesus laid down his own
- 11:02life for us. We didn't take his life, the
- 11:05Jews didn't take his life, the Gentiles didn't take his life,
- 11:08Rome didn't take his life who on Earth who with human hands?
- 11:13Brett could kill a living God. Creator of the heavens and the
- 11:18Earth whose hands literally Mall Things.
- 11:21The only way. That he ever could have been our
- 11:23sacrifice our Passover. Lamb, Our Redeemer is if he
- 11:27literally humbled himself and allowed himself to be our
- 11:30sacrifice. I got a strange question for
- 11:35you. Proverbs if a person doesn't
- 11:37believe in God though, if they lack a belief in God, how can
- 11:42they describe to a person? How exactly significant or
- 11:46value? You've listened to a lot of
- 11:47different views and ideas on that.
- 11:50What would you, how would somebody be able to even argue
- 11:53someone's relevance in the universe without a prime mover?
- 11:59You can Brett, you know, the symbol truth is, is that without
- 12:03believing in a Creator, the human existence is reduced to
- 12:08nothing more. You're literally an animal.
- 12:14Are you do feel like animals, have significance and value?
- 12:18And ha even some Christians out there and people who treat
- 12:21animals, sometimes better than their fellow man.
- 12:24But if you're a non-believer, what would you be able to say to
- 12:28someone? Even if it came to, you know,
- 12:30that you like something you care about something, what kind of
- 12:34argument could be made? Is that still the same response?
- 12:39Well see, being a Believer or non-believer.
- 12:42I don't think that would necessarily.
- 12:44Sara Lee affect your love, for nature, right?
- 12:46An atheist can absolutely be a dog lover.
- 12:49I don't think that, that would be in conflict with itself.
- 12:53However, with a Believer, you have something that goes
- 12:56actually a step farther because when God created the animals in
- 13:00the garden, he put man over the animals and it wasn't just to
- 13:04subdue them, but it was actually to care for them.
- 13:08So as a Believer, we don't just have the choice of loving Nature
- 13:14loving animals. We have the obligation held to a
- 13:18higher standard than the atheists.
- 13:23Okay, I got a tough question for you.
- 13:25You had brought up a Bible. Verse earlier, you class to use
- 13:297:17, be not overly Wicked, and either be a fool.
- 13:34Why should you die before your time?
- 13:37You were saying that people shouldn't be in a rush to die
- 13:40before their time, but doesn't god control all the time and
- 13:44existence. He does, but you have to keep in
- 13:49mind, he's still gave us Free Will and that free-willed still
- 13:53extends to the point of our life.
- 13:56Now it's also true that if deemed it fit, he can take your
- 14:02life. I mean, he holds every life in
- 14:05his hand, but that doesn't mean that he's the one who crushes
- 14:08that life because that's verse that you just read.
- 14:11I definitely believe points to the idea that we have some sort
- 14:15of say in it. It.
- 14:20All right. Well, let's talk a little bit
- 14:24about the unfortunate sadness of whenever parents or adults, or
- 14:29spouse has to actually choose to turn the machine off of people.
- 14:34You were saying that you believe that once a person is officially
- 14:37brain-dead to you, they're already dead.
- 14:40They're already gone. Yes, that's correct.
- 14:44Yep. I don't know if you heard a
- 14:47story a few years back but there was a woman, I think that I
- 14:52might have told you a little bit about this.
- 14:53There was a woman who had gotten into an accident.
- 14:56She was in the condition for quite a few years yet.
- 15:00Her parents continued to visit her, they continued to spend
- 15:03time with her as if she was still alive.
- 15:06The still is though, she was still functioning.
- 15:09However, they started noticing something unusual about her.
- 15:12Her physical form started to go through changes.
- 15:16If they had her looked at by the doctors and they found out that
- 15:19she was pregnant, apparently while she was in the state and
- 15:23unable to defend herself, someone in the medical field
- 15:27decide to come in. And actually impregnate her
- 15:30while she was in this position, what is your thoughts on that?
- 15:34And why do you think it is that the body was so still support
- 15:38able to produce life but at least not for her.
- 15:44Well again, you know that goes back It's the soul itself that
- 15:49animates the body. It's the soul that makes us
- 15:52something living. However, we can artificially
- 15:55keep the vessel going and womb and the woman body really has
- 16:03one purpose when it comes to childbirth.
- 16:05It works as an incubator and all actuality.
- 16:08So even with the sole absent, even with the brain capacity,
- 16:12absent from that body, as long as it's being Really pumped the
- 16:17hearts artificially pumped. The Bloods artificially flowed,
- 16:21you could absolutely probably carry that baby full term.
- 16:25I would wager. Proverbs guy have you ever
- 16:30interacted or engaged people who have actually had thoughts of
- 16:34suicide? Whether they went through it or
- 16:36not? Yeah, I have Brett.
- 16:40As a matter of fact, my, my brother passed away a few years
- 16:45ago, he was really ill. He had lupus and he overdosed on
- 16:50pain medication one night so that he could Escape his pain.
- 16:54So suicide is a topic. That's very dear to me.
- 16:58And that's why we're some Christians.
- 17:01I think they get offended almost at the concept of ending your
- 17:06life. Almost like you're stealing that
- 17:08decision from God and I definitely believe that in those
- 17:12circumstances you're going to have to answer to a just God and
- 17:15your creator one day, but ultimately brought we serve a
- 17:19compassionate God and A lot of people also confuse something,
- 17:26right? Anytime you ask them.
- 17:28Well, what's wrong with suicide? Not in every case.
- 17:32But in almost every case, they'll point to scripture
- 17:35verses about murder but murder is something very specific.
- 17:40Murder is stealing the soul from somebody else's vessel Murder is
- 17:46in no way related to ending your own life.
- 17:51So we have to be very careful about putting that kind of
- 17:55judgment on somebody which I feel like in the Christian faith
- 17:58we do way too much. What denominations from what
- 18:04you've experienced seem to have the most issue with this concept
- 18:08and also Proverbs I want to say I'm sorry to hear about what
- 18:11happened with your brother. I appreciate that Brett, you
- 18:16know, as far as as far as the misconceptions and staunch
- 18:24stances that people take on suicide, I don't really think
- 18:29I've observed it in one denomination over another, but
- 18:34it's definitely prominent in the Protestant denominations from
- 18:39what I've observed. I would have to say and that
- 18:41goes for for many Artist for Pentecostals, and for all the
- 18:46other various Protestant denominations, and I think, you
- 18:51know what at face value. Brett, there's nothing wrong
- 18:54with it, really because we should put the ultimate value on
- 18:58life, right? You know, God literally breathe
- 19:01his own breath into us to a mate us to give us that soul to give
- 19:05us to give us the function, to walk and talk and breathe and
- 19:10think, and we should value that and appreciate it.
- 19:13It. But ultimately These bodies that
- 19:17we have this life that we're on Earth, it's just a vapor, it's
- 19:21really just a practice for the afterlife.
- 19:24What really matters on Earth as how much Faith you put in Christ
- 19:28Jesus. Did you believe that he died for
- 19:30your sins and did you treat your neighbor with love?
- 19:35And did you love your enemy? Even these are things.
- 19:39I think that on Judgment Day, a God's going to look at a larger
- 19:43than were you in a deep pit of despair.
- 19:46Were you in so much pain? That just the thought of waking
- 19:49up in the morning was agonizing to you or maybe it was for a
- 19:53selfless reason. Brett, I'll give you a good
- 19:56example. My dad's dad was not in the
- 19:59picture, he died very early on my grandfather and there was a
- 20:03man across the street who kind of took my dad in under his
- 20:06wing. He was a really good man, he
- 20:08treated my dad, really good and as a young boy, he taught him.
- 20:13All the attributes of becoming a man he really Took on the role
- 20:17of my dad's father. They got into a lot of financial
- 20:21trouble, the the man and his wife, they lived across the
- 20:24street from my dad, and my grandmother and my aunt, and
- 20:27they were going to lose the house, they were going to be
- 20:30homeless, his wife was going to be destitute.
- 20:33So this man, his name was Frankie, he went in the backyard
- 20:36one day, and he sat himself down on a chair, he sent his wife and
- 20:39kids to the store and he put a gun to his heart and he pulled
- 20:42the trigger and he ended it, and they found out afterwards that
- 20:45he Had a life insurance policy and it was because of that
- 20:49selfless act. He was able to ensure that his
- 20:52wife would forever be cared for. They didn't lose their home, she
- 20:57had a warm place to stay in the winter her children were cared
- 21:01for. They didn't have to be in that
- 21:02destitute situation. And even though it might seem
- 21:06like it was a selfish act and he left his, his widowed wife
- 21:10behind and his children without a father, ultimately, it's a
- 21:14father's job in a husbands. Job to be a provider and when he
- 21:18ran out of options, he took the only choice.
- 21:21He thought he had left to be that provider in the long term
- 21:25and I don't think God's going to punish him for that.
- 21:29Anybody who wants to join the discussion, I'm going to be
- 21:33opening it up to allow people to come in on the mic and a little
- 21:36while. You can email me at practice
- 21:39thinking phone at gmail.com, if you'd like during All right,
- 21:46some more questions out there. Does anyone out there in the
- 21:50chat? Have any questions about the
- 21:52topic that we're talking about? I guess I'll move on to this
- 21:56Proverbs guy. Did you see my video?
- 21:59Where I talked about the suicide rate between people of Faith as
- 22:03well as people of non-belief? No, I didn't Brett.
- 22:09Well, apparently, according to Stats and I actually found the
- 22:13stats by frequent eating atheist, forums and blogs.
- 22:16And all this, I went to Richard Dawkins dotnet, I believe is
- 22:20what it's called and they were they had a topic up that said
- 22:24that atheists have a very, very serious suicide issue according
- 22:29to the stats and they had a graph up there, I've got a
- 22:31picture of it if people want to see it.
- 22:34The graph shows that atheist have so many suicides and there.
- 22:38Up that it even goes over all the religions.
- 22:41Combined paganism, Hinduism Buddhism Islam, Christianity,
- 22:48all that, and believe it or not Islam's, very small on the list.
- 22:52And I know it's some people might say, how is that possible
- 22:55because of all that bad PR you see in the news with Muslims and
- 22:59bombs and all that kind of stuff.
- 23:01What is your thoughts are in that?
- 23:03Why do you think it is that certain group seemed to have
- 23:06massive fatalities as As others. Do you think it's the fear of
- 23:10Hell or something? Or is there something else?
- 23:15Hmm, so really I look at this as two questions one, why would the
- 23:20atheist Community have the highest suicide rates and that's
- 23:23a really easy question to answer.
- 23:26I think that's because in the atheist belief, you have to you
- 23:29have to set yourself around the theory of evolution and
- 23:36evolution tells us that we're an accident.
- 23:38We have no value, we're nothing special in the universe where
- 23:42the product of sparked Stardust turning into some kind of funk
- 23:47growing on a rock and developing into an algae.
- 23:50If you thought that was your existence Brett and you really
- 23:54in your heart believed that you had no value that, you are an
- 23:58accident in the universe, why would you value your life?
- 24:02And I also know that the suicide rate is higher in certain groups
- 24:07like for homosexuals and that's a shame and it really breaks my
- 24:11heart because of my heart does go out for them.
- 24:13But I think that's an easy one to explain also because when
- 24:18you're actively living in sin and I'm not talking about being
- 24:23someone who tries your hardest to not send but you send
- 24:26occasionally anyways because we all do that.
- 24:28But when you wake up every morning and Add that you're
- 24:32going to live in sin everyday, you do that?
- 24:37You separate yourself from God, a little bit more and more.
- 24:40And even though you can convince yourself that what you're doing
- 24:43is okay, Your soul knows better and every step you take away
- 24:49from God, you're taking a step into despair into depression
- 24:54until ultimately your life again, has no value, it's a
- 24:59value system. You know, I think that atheists
- 25:03as well as people of different faiths, they have a lot of
- 25:06common ground whenever comes to trying to survive and live their
- 25:10life. And we all sometimes will end up
- 25:13finding that fork in the road. We sometimes go down a dark Road
- 25:18where it just doesn't seem like, there's no way back.
- 25:20Like we went beyond the point of no return and it can get lonely.
- 25:24It can get dark, it can get scary, you can feel like nobody
- 25:28loves me, nobody appreciates. Me nobody, nobody is going to
- 25:32make any impact in my life and I'm curious if you've got
- 25:37someone who believes that there's hope and that there
- 25:39might be light at the end of the tunnel that there's someone
- 25:42there that is watching and listening and does love you.
- 25:46It seems like you have more advantage to be able to benefit
- 25:51from that view. And that belief to be able to
- 25:54wake up the next morning and breathe again.
- 25:56And try again, as opposed to believing that the dark.
- 26:00Orders. All you have.
- 26:02Does that make sense? Yeah it does man.
- 26:06You it's like you said there's light at the end of the tunnel
- 26:09you have hope. And let's be honest, man.
- 26:12Hope is a very powerful thing. How many wars has hope got
- 26:16Americans through? Look at, look at trench warfare
- 26:21in World War, 1 bunker down bullets.
- 26:25Flying all around explosions everywhere.
- 26:27You're deaf from all the explosions going off, Or half
- 26:31blind from all the flash bangs. But still, we had hope that we
- 26:36were the greatest fighting force on the face of the Earth and
- 26:39hope has got Mankind through so much.
- 26:43As a matter of fact, hope got us through damnation, you know,
- 26:47before Christ came and revealed himself.
- 26:50We didn't have the crucifixion to look back on as a reminder
- 26:55like we do today. We had to hope that God was
- 26:58going to keep his promise. We had to believe.
- 27:00Leave the God was going to keep his promise and God rewards hope
- 27:04sometimes and we should never forget that.
- 27:09Not this Egg Way, any on the topic?
- 27:11And I'm going to start letting people come in to have
- 27:13discussions on that same form that I was looking at whenever
- 27:17it comes to Stats and all that I did notice that someone ended up
- 27:22responded into the suicide thing with, why are there so many
- 27:26people of Faith who are in prison or jails and all that?
- 27:29And I found that to be pretty interesting.
- 27:31Why would people do that? And you mentioned the concept of
- 27:34hope. I ended up looking in the
- 27:36something called jailhouse, jeez.
- 27:39Jesus, have you ever heard of this before Proverbs?
- 27:42Well, not if it's a specific organization but I've heard of
- 27:46jailhouse religion. I mean that's when your back is
- 27:49against the wall and you literally have nothing else in
- 27:51life to live for and sometimes God will put us in that
- 27:55situation on purpose just to draw us to him.
- 28:00Well jailhouse, Jesus as kind of a slang term for people, who
- 28:04once they go into prison, they end up wanting to find groups or
- 28:08people to protect them and people that they can hang with
- 28:10that, will will do this littlest a bit of harm to them.
- 28:15And they say that according to the stats, whenever a lot of
- 28:18non-believers get in there, they turn towards either Islam or
- 28:21Christianity. Paganism doesn't seem to be like
- 28:25a thing. That's even I guess respected in
- 28:28the prison population. And with jailhouse.
- 28:30Jesus is basically whenever someone claims that they're a
- 28:34part of Christianity or Islam, sometimes they do it because
- 28:38they're genuine and sincere and others, do it because they think
- 28:41the parole board will like that. What's your thoughts?
- 28:45Wow, I think you just nailed it on the head.
- 28:48I'd say, probably 40% of them do it because they think the parole
- 28:52board is going to approve and they're going to say, hey this
- 28:56guy is showing that he's turned his life around, you know.
- 28:59He hasn't robbed any banks lately.
- 29:01And now he says he's given his life to Jesus.
- 29:03Maybe. This guy has changed, let's give
- 29:05him another chance, but I think the majority of the jailhouse
- 29:09religion folk, I do think it's more intimate than that.
- 29:14You're literally trapped in a room multiple hours of a day.
- 29:17Will say, 23 hours a day. You get some time to go out and
- 29:21eat or what not. You have no control over your
- 29:24life, you realize just how on and control you Ali are and when
- 29:31you're in those situations, the one thing you're going to
- 29:35detest. The most is having people like
- 29:37prison guards have ultimate control over your life.
- 29:41So the only way you're able to preserve any kind of power over
- 29:45your life whatsoever is to take it away from the prison guards
- 29:50and give it to your creator, right?
- 29:52Because then you feel like, okay, He's got control over me.
- 29:57I mean, in reality, the guard can still to go to your cell.
- 30:01He can tell you to come eat now or you're not going to eat but
- 30:04it goes back to that. Hope thing, you know, you give
- 30:08your life to God in jail and you have something to look forward
- 30:11to. Yeah.
- 30:13After looking at that stats, I ended up finding myself in a
- 30:17very addictive research, and I discovered that unlike some
- 30:22communities like, atheist groups and pagans, and Muslims, a lot
- 30:26of Christians go into, like prisons and they basically
- 30:31prophesize to them. They teach them and all that,
- 30:34and it helps bring a lot of people over.
- 30:36A lot of people who end up going in, don't believe like, Jeffrey
- 30:40Dahmer. For instance, he had no hope
- 30:42whatsoever. Were he said I didn't see any
- 30:44value or significance in life. He said, I believe I Came From
- 30:48Evolution from the Slime as how he put it, and don't feel like I
- 30:52have to have any moral, ethical, parameters whatsoever who's to
- 30:56control me? Hey, water, The Vineyard, how
- 30:58you doing? Our fellow token Catholic in the
- 31:01room. Good that you got in here.
- 31:03I wouldn't mind hearing your views on the suicide issues
- 31:09Yeah, he was an interesting character.
- 31:11I really enjoyed the dialogue with him.
- 31:14Water. Would you like to express your
- 31:16views? Are you there?
- 31:18Yeah. Can you hear me?
- 31:20Yeah, I can hear you. What is your views are in
- 31:22suicide? What is your philosophy Peach?
- 31:25And hopefully Proverbs guy can mute his mic.
- 31:27So we don't have to hear all that scratching over there.
- 31:29I don't know what's going on. He must have a really itchy back
- 31:32or something, go ahead their water.
- 31:34What you have for me? Start by saying and like I
- 31:39really really appreciate you talking about this suicide is
- 31:43not a lot of people are this way as well.
- 31:46It's affected me through people. I was in my family and friends
- 31:53so I appreciate you having this discussion.
- 31:57Believe that humans do not have God's creation in that we can
- 32:05destroy boys. It so we see sewer but I was
- 32:11listening earlier to what prop of herbs was saying.
- 32:15And the about murder is you're taking our, you're making the
- 32:21decision for someone else, but Asian for your self, I do think
- 32:26that in the modern world I think would agree with that and
- 32:31ultimately we as Catholics also, believe is up to God.
- 32:37I mean, we, we will never be able to say for certain and he
- 32:44is a Compassionate, God. So that in the right
- 32:53circumstances it is definite as understandable, part of human
- 33:00existence. All right, water and Proverbs
- 33:06guy. I've got a question for you and
- 33:08me and Proverbs actually talked about this for a moment and I'd
- 33:11love to see what you think about it.
- 33:13Water and anybody out there for anybody out there, who is
- 33:16religious or part of some kind of denomination, you may want to
- 33:20listen very closely to this. And the Bible, there is a figure
- 33:24by the name of Samson, whether you believe it's allegory or
- 33:27it's the real deal, or a real literal story, this figure was
- 33:31tortured, he was And then he was chained up between two pillars,
- 33:36that was holding up a structure. A building with a bunch of
- 33:39Philistines inside. He had lost all of his strength
- 33:43for disobeying. God, with his girlfriend
- 33:45Delilah, she had betrayed him and the story he says, God
- 33:51please give me the strength and the power to pull these pillars
- 33:54and bring this building down on myself.
- 33:57Not just sending my life but also your enemies, my Lord and
- 34:02God Actually gave him the strength and the power to pull
- 34:05this and it is believed by Christians.
- 34:08At Samson was a great and legendary hero, they believed
- 34:13that he was a man of God and many believe that he actually
- 34:16went to heaven and God watched upon him and gave him the power
- 34:21to end it all. So what is your views on that if
- 34:25suicide is wrong? How do we explain this?
- 34:33I think it's a pretty fair example, from the Bible to bring
- 34:38up and I think I point out that both, let's Proverbs and I have
- 34:42just made that in some instances suicide fit, send to Providence,
- 34:49it fits into gods. Proverbs, are you still with us?
- 35:05Yes sir. Yes sir, I'm still with you.
- 35:08I thought you might've scratched back so hard.
- 35:10Your phone exploded. What?
- 35:12You got? No no my first some reason Brett
- 35:15my phone takes like half of a second to mute and half of a
- 35:19second to unmute. So that's what that's about.
- 35:24Fair enough. Did you hear the what I was able
- 35:27to say out there or did my microphone mess up or anything?
- 35:31No. No, I heard the question about
- 35:33about Samson, right? Right.
- 35:36You and I have talked about this and I felt it would be important
- 35:40and significant to bring up in a conversation.
- 35:44Sure. Yeah I mean Samson is a perfect
- 35:48example because we know that he took his own life now some could
- 35:53say an argue that it was for a selfless reason.
- 35:57Maybe he was saving his people by trying to destroy all the
- 36:00Philistines but in someone out there who maybe has read
- 36:05something into it more than I have, can correct me if I'm
- 36:07wrong. I'm always willing to correct,
- 36:11but I don't think the scripture points to that.
- 36:14As a matter of fact, it's kind of open-ended for you to kind of
- 36:17make your own interpretation from it.
- 36:20And I really believe that it had a lot more to do with revenge
- 36:23for the torture and humiliation Samson had just gone through
- 36:26Morris worried about destroying all the Philistines to save his
- 36:29people. I mean again you have to
- 36:31remember this is Samson. This is someone who had faith in
- 36:35God because he literally destroyed thousands of the enemy
- 36:40with just the jaw of an ass. So he knew that if he died, God
- 36:46could raise up somebody else very easily to take out the
- 36:49Philistines. So I don't think it was that.
- 36:51I think that would be a very ignorant thing for Sampson to
- 36:54think that God had to use this blinded man, stuck to a pillar.
- 36:58Absolutely not. Samson was mad.
- 37:02Samson had been humiliated and even oh, Samson made mistakes,
- 37:05and he was being punished for it.
- 37:07God had compassion on him and God still favored Samson and
- 37:12Samson's, a beautiful example, Sample.
- 37:14Because he definitely committed suicide, but he's mentioned in
- 37:17Hebrews in the Hall of Heroes. All right, I got another
- 37:23biblical verse for you, Proverbs and water.
- 37:26And anybody out there, listen, I would love to hear your opinion
- 37:29on it, John 1225 whosoever loves his life, loses it and whosoever
- 37:36hateth his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
- 37:40That's from the ESV. It might have a different word
- 37:43instead of Hayden there, but it's basically, from my
- 37:47interpretation. It's saying those who love the
- 37:50materialistic things of this world and The selfish things of
- 37:53this world and is not willing to give up their life while those
- 37:57who are willing to give will receive eternal life, how do you
- 38:01take it Proverbs as you know, I'm a work in progress and
- 38:04water. Hmm, I definitely think that
- 38:08verb verses in reference to hating and it says, you know,
- 38:12hating thing to hating the world of sin that we live in.
- 38:19This far. Well, Proverbs you want to go.
- 38:25I don't know what's wrong with Waters.
- 38:28Microphone over there. We know he's Catholic,
- 38:30hopefully, didn't spill me, holy water on it or something because
- 38:33it's not. Where is it?
- 38:34Like is my voice not clear. It's breaking up a little bit
- 38:39man. I don't know if you're running a
- 38:41download over there or what. No, I'm not running second.
- 38:48Well, maybe it's restream for you.
- 38:50You might want to like lower the resolution or the audio settings
- 38:54on that, a little bit. I don't know.
- 38:56Hopefully, that'll get worked out here in a bit.
- 38:59I'm going to start using stream yards in the future and people
- 39:02seem to be doing better with that function, but go ahead
- 39:06their Proverbs guy. What were you going to say?
- 39:09Well, truthfully Brett, can you refresh me on the question?
- 39:16Well, as you know, God, he tells us basically don't get attached
- 39:22to the things of this world that we if we love him and we keep
- 39:27his keep what he tells us to do. Whosoever loves his life loses
- 39:32that and whosoever hates his life in this world will keep it
- 39:35for eternal life. What do you get from that?
- 39:38What's your interpretation? I know that the verse isn't
- 39:41telling us that we should hair life and jump off the nearest
- 39:44bridge or something. Yeah but it's I think it's an
- 39:47important and valuable concept of the discussion we're having
- 39:52what is your view of it? So I'm not 100% sure that this
- 39:57particular verse is in relation to say suicide this verse is
- 40:04more in relation to Contrast. Right.
- 40:08And contrast do you love your life more than you love Christ?
- 40:13Do you love your life so much that if he told you to go into a
- 40:17village that's on an island? That's never seen civilized man.
- 40:21And you know, that they're cannibalistic and he tells you
- 40:24to go preach the gospel and trust him.
- 40:26Do you love your life so much that you would reject Christ
- 40:30asking you to do that? Even if you knew that he was
- 40:33asking you to go and that you would die for certain, do you?
- 40:37You love your life. Do you love living here on Earth
- 40:40more than you love Christ? Because if you hate your life,
- 40:46that means in contrast you love Christ enough that you would be
- 40:50willing to lay down your life. It has no value to you.
- 40:52When it comes to spreading the gospel, your own life has no
- 40:56value to you when it comes to obedience.
- 41:00I think that's more what that verse is in relation to Well, I
- 41:05just run into a very strange thing that happened.
- 41:09I have moderated and give them the authority to missing mod to
- 41:12moderate. She's got the name missing mod,
- 41:15but she says I'm just learning how to mod.
- 41:17Oh, goodness gracious. The irony just doesn't go over
- 41:21me on that at all, why don't you How am I now?
- 41:29A little bit better. It's whenever you talk for a
- 41:31while, it was happening. Let's see if you're working now.
- 41:34Okay. Well, I think Proverbs makes a
- 41:38really good point. This is probably it could refer
- 41:43to both it, could refer her to giving, which I think is relate
- 41:50did to how much do you love the materialism?
- 41:55You partake in, you know, sinful selfies.
- 42:02Would you drop everything? If Jesus came would you drop
- 42:07everything to follow him? How do you how do we think
- 42:13looking this because suicide? I don't think it is in relation
- 42:22to Suicide. Personally, why I said that in
- 42:25the beginning of it, whenever I was reading the verse that I
- 42:28don't think it pertains to it, but it's an interesting verse
- 42:32having to do with life and how we should view the world and all
- 42:35this kind of things, I thought was interesting.
- 42:38I wanted to hear me guys interpretation of it.
- 42:40So, do you agree water? You may not have been in here
- 42:43earlier, but God does see our bodies as the temple.
- 42:47He wants us to take care of ourself.
- 42:49He doesn't want us to get into You know things that are going
- 42:52to cause us harm and destroying us.
- 42:54However is it biblical that suicide is some kind of
- 42:58unforgivable sin? There's only one I know of but
- 43:01I'm willing to hear people out still a work in progress.
- 43:07I think that I think that both that Proverbs men shouldn't
- 43:14about this. Father, taking secure life
- 43:18insurance for his family. I think there may be instances.
- 43:24Suicide Works into God's plan and I'm sure other Christians
- 43:29listening, you know, want to throw up their arms, their get
- 43:33on their keyboards, and immediately, and start typing,
- 43:36but I think look at at how certain events unfold fold their
- 43:43their explanation and you know God God is all powerful.
- 43:51He it's his decision who received salvation.
- 43:57So it makes sense to me that in certain instances suicide is a
- 44:03sin but we as Catholics again. Have to reiterate.
- 44:07We do feel well that if you've ever heard that term, grave
- 44:11offense before, Now. Okay.
- 44:17So grave offense, would be murder is also a grave.
- 44:28It has to do with offences of taking ending the lives or
- 44:34taking Mother be yourself or other.
- 44:46Well, Proverbs show you to jump in there and share your opinion
- 44:50or view if you have one. Yeah.
- 44:54So whenever we're addressing scriptures, there's a whole lot
- 45:02of confusion out there because there's a lot of theologians who
- 45:07come up with these wild ideas and they preach it as the gospel
- 45:11but it's really not at the end of the day, it's a man's
- 45:14opinion. And that is a very a very good
- 45:21analogy of what we have going on here.
- 45:24I've heard so many Believers. Say that suicide is Unforgivable
- 45:28sin. Excuse me, there's only one
- 45:31unforgivable sin, that's blasphemy of the holy spirit, so
- 45:35if you're not blaspheming the Holy Spirit, it doesn't matter
- 45:38what mistake you've made or what decision you've been forced with
- 45:43and chosen the right or wrong path, God knows your heart.
- 45:47And I don't see why a Believer would think that suicide at all
- 45:54would be tied to blasphemy. They're totally different.
- 45:57Different things. There's nothing more serious
- 45:59than blasphemy. So if it's not blasphemy it is a
- 46:03forgivable sin. It's a sin that can be pardoned
- 46:06and that's up to God. We should be very careful not to
- 46:09play God. All right, I got a question for
- 46:12you both. There was a time where I was
- 46:14listening to some non-believers doing a live show while back it
- 46:20was a couple years ago and they had suggested that if the
- 46:24government were to ever allow like suicide clinics to exist in
- 46:28the world or in America that they would be for it.
- 46:32Basically, this would mean that someone from 14 all the way up.
- 46:36If they chose that they didn't want their life anymore, they
- 46:39could go to a place and Doctors, put them down.
- 46:42What is your opinion? And thoughts of this?
- 46:44They felt that from 14 and up would be feasible.
- 46:51Say you want to go first water? Yeah yeah because so I think
- 46:57there's a real distinction and there's something that really
- 47:01needs to be highlighted here verbs like like I said earlier
- 47:07that the suicide height is is not and a nun.
- 47:11Forget I don't think that that it doesn't make it so early.
- 47:19Okay. And I think the E easier that
- 47:22it, we make it for people to hives.
- 47:25I don't see any good coming from that and especially not someone.
- 47:30That's just ridiculous. Oh boy, he's having a tough time
- 47:38on that mic for sure what your thoughts are proverbs.
- 47:42Yeah, so I agree with him. I think that mass suicide like
- 47:50that would be encouraging people who are in Desperate situations
- 47:56and I think that's terrible because completing suicide is
- 48:01one of the most Despairing situations, anyone could go
- 48:07through and and obviously, not for just the person who's facing
- 48:10that torment before they finally make that decision.
- 48:14But also the family and loved ones that they leave behind and
- 48:18as Believers and even Beyond Believers, Brett as Humanity, we
- 48:23should always put an emphasis on life on the value of life.
- 48:29And it's so important to remember that, When somebody
- 48:33completes suicide, that is a permanent solution to a
- 48:37temporary problem, but a lot of people don't think about it like
- 48:41that, especially if you're putting a phone booth 10 feet
- 48:45away from them, after your wife, leaves you for your best friend.
- 48:48Like I think that's a very demonic thing to be honest with
- 48:52you. Looks like water is back.
- 48:57Hopefully, he's figured out how technology in the year, twenty
- 49:01three works. Are you back with this brother?
- 49:05How do I sound? I'm now.
- 49:08Well, you sound okay? When it's like, short spurts and
- 49:12all that it's whenever you're going on for a while that it
- 49:15just ends had the issue. I hope that restream doesn't
- 49:19automatically set people system properly, so you may want to go
- 49:23into the settings sometime and Turn off all the unnecessary
- 49:27stuff that might help you out a little bit.
- 49:30So, I got a hypothetical question.
- 49:33I've got a hypothetical question for people and voice chat as
- 49:37well as those out there and text.
- 49:39And remember, if anybody emails me and want to link, you can get
- 49:43in. I don't want to just put it out
- 49:44there because there's some zoo animals that don't know how to
- 49:47control themselves and it's a very serious topic.
- 49:51All right. Are you ready for the
- 49:52hypothetical Proverbs guy? Hit me with it, Brett.
- 49:59The hypothetical is that all of you are on an individual level,
- 50:04you're sitting on a cliff and you're staring at the Horizon,
- 50:08the beautiful sky and you're having a wonderful day.
- 50:11Everything's going great for you but suddenly you started hearing
- 50:14some scattering behind you in the woods.
- 50:17You look up. You notice it's the silhouette
- 50:20of a human being. This human comes out and you
- 50:23notice that they are a pregnant woman between 6 and Eight months
- 50:27old, she says to you, do not try to stop me.
- 50:32Respect my body, respect my choice, I'm going to kill
- 50:36myself. What would you do?
- 50:41Tackle, I would definitely try to stop her.
- 50:44Yes, you tackle that Prego to the ground bright.
- 50:48It's a little extreme but you get what I'm saying?
- 50:52I would not. I would you handle it water to
- 50:55my physical physical ability. I would not let her get to the
- 50:59edge of that Cliff straining here.
- 51:05Are you do realize both of you that nowadays?
- 51:08They tell us the the enforce this idea into our head, our own
- 51:12government and our media tell us that we should respect a woman's
- 51:16body. We should respect her choice, so
- 51:19she wants to end it. If she wants to her idea of
- 51:23respecting her own body and wishes is to end it.
- 51:27And how can we go against what our government tells us and what
- 51:30the media teaches us. Well, that's an easy question to
- 51:36answer. Brett.
- 51:37Our government is demonic and wicked.
- 51:43Well I'm listening. I'm sorry.
- 51:44Water sounded like he kind of went over you for a moment you
- 51:47go first Proverbs and then water.
- 51:50Yeah. So I mean our government is
- 51:52wicked. I mean, take the pro-life
- 51:56pro-choice movement, you're literally rallying for a woman's
- 52:01right to murder, and I understand that there are
- 52:04situations out there where a pregnant woman could be phased
- 52:10where there's birth defect or In a more extreme situations where
- 52:14the woman's life is it is that harm, but statistics have shown
- 52:20that that's less than five percent of the abortions that
- 52:24are performed in this country. That means 95% of the millions
- 52:28of children that we have murdered with this pro-choice
- 52:32movement has been a form of birth control.
- 52:36So when it comes to the government, telling you that you
- 52:39have to respect a woman's choice or you have God telling You that
- 52:43you have to Value life and fight for life at all costs.
- 52:47You have to decide in that moment.
- 52:49Who is your god, is the creator of Heaven and Earth and the
- 52:52creator of Life who formed that child in its mother's womb.
- 52:55Your God, where is your god, the United States government, who
- 52:59tells you life has no value in. This is not a living thing
- 53:02because it can't vote yet. Personally, I have no respect
- 53:07for the government when it comes to these decisions because
- 53:09they've got it wrong. Almost every single time.
- 53:12But God, on the other hand has got it right?
- 53:15Literally every single time. So if I was ever placed in that
- 53:20moment, I don't like to use coarse language but I say to
- 53:24hell with the government. I'm going to tackle that
- 53:26pregnant woman to the ground because I don't know what she's
- 53:29going through in life, but she'll never know what great
- 53:33outcomes could be on the other side of it.
- 53:35If she decided to end it then and also she's not just opting
- 53:39to end her own life. At that moment.
- 53:41You literally have A decision to save two lives, the mother and
- 53:45the child. I don't know if you noticed and
- 53:50I want to hear Waters you on this but missing mod said wonder
- 53:55if father Chuck's going to be showing up so he can get a nap
- 53:59soon. Now, basically what she's
- 54:01suggesting Proverbs and if he does appear, they may fall
- 54:05asleep during the discussion. I don't have a problem with it.
- 54:08Every, every Beauty needs it sleep, but it would be
- 54:14fascinating because water is a Catholic.
- 54:16And so is Father Chuck. But I've been interesting to
- 54:19have them in the the discussion. Well they're similar but father
- 54:24Chuck is a Orthodox priest so they're like distant cousins.
- 54:29I sent the link to Father Chuck because I think he would have
- 54:34some great Insight on this and you know, I actually did reach
- 54:39out to him yesterday. He sent me a couple text
- 54:41messages and I had it just put on my heart to let bygones be
- 54:46bygones, and I called him back and we hashed everything out and
- 54:51we put it behind us and you know, Things happen with
- 54:55friends, but I consider it a great privilege to have a friend
- 54:58like, Pastor, Chuck. And, you know, he's helped me
- 55:02root out. A lot of misconceptions.
- 55:03I had about Catholicism and and he's helped me work through a
- 55:08lot of things and understand some of the disconnect between
- 55:11protestantism and Catholicism. And I'm very grateful for the
- 55:15knowledge that father Chuck's brought to the table.
- 55:20Well, looks like we got somebody named Tamar who just popped in.
- 55:24I don't know how they got in. I don't recognize the name
- 55:28tomorrow. Can you wave or something?
- 55:30So, I know you're human. All right.
- 55:34Do you know somebody called tomorrow?
- 55:35Their Proverbs? I do.
- 55:37I actually sent the link to her. She's a lovely young woman, a
- 55:42great friend, she's in the Messianic tour community and
- 55:46thus, the topic of completing suicide is something that's very
- 55:50personal and dear to her too. And I'm not going to share, you
- 55:53know, the exact details because that's something that's
- 55:56intimate. And if she's so decided to share
- 55:59it, that would be great. But yeah, I thought that it
- 56:02would be be a wonderful topic for for her to experience being
- 56:06a widow. Hey tomorrow, I'm going to go
- 56:09ahead and put her up on the main screen.
- 56:12I'm going to make you here to face.
- 56:14Everybody's going to see you're not shy.
- 56:16Are you talking people are T really cool my hair but that's
- 56:20okay. It's okay.
- 56:23I haven't combed my hair. Put on my makeup either.
- 56:26It's all good. Yeah.
- 56:30Yeah, don't feel bad, even, when I comb my hair, I'm ugly as Sin.
- 56:34Oh, no. No, no.
- 56:38He's a wealthy title of the room about is about, okay, hold on.
- 56:44Okay. It sounds like she's got a full
- 56:46party going on. Yeah, it's okay.
- 56:49You guys can continue it. I just have to acknowledge them,
- 56:52you know. They're still kind of running
- 56:54around. It's all
- 57:13Streaming. Okay.
- 57:14Sorry about that. Sorry, that's her.
- 57:17Go, you can't be on camera. It's no children.
- 57:22That's just for your own good, in your own protection.
- 57:25Oh yeah, of course. Of course, you can never be too
- 57:27safe. I personally think that all
- 57:30Children in the world are miracles of god and love seeing
- 57:33them happy and laughing and all that.
- 57:35It's just, we live are not out, you know, social media site.
- 57:39This is. Ya know me.
- 57:41Yeah, hold on. I lost the screen guys.
- 57:43Give me just a minute. I I can hear you.
- 57:46I just can't see you. All right, okay.
- 57:52What happened here? Can you see me?
- 57:55We can't see you, but we can hear you.
- 57:57Yeah, your screen went black but we can hear you just fine.
- 58:03Hey Enoch. All right.
- 58:07I'll tell you what tomorrow. Whenever you got things worked
- 58:10out over there. I'd love to have you back and
- 58:12hear what you have to say. All right.
- 58:14Yeah, I get that straightened out and we'll be more than happy
- 58:17to hear your views and ideas aren't things.
- 58:19Hopefully people don't think that's rude of me.
- 58:21But well, it is what it is. Yeah.
- 58:25Unfortunately with her situation that relates to this very, very
- 58:31sad topic that we're addressing tonight.
- 58:33You know she's a widowed mother of seven kids.
- 58:36So you guys be sure to keep her in your prayers and I've done a
- 58:39couple interviews with her. She's a book author, she's done
- 58:43some amazing work and she's actually done a lot of papers on
- 58:46theology concerning Old Testament, Theology.
- 58:50And I think you guys would find it.
- 58:52Fascinating, you can find her on my YouTube channel.
- 58:55The Proverbs 27:17 YouTube channel.
- 58:58Yeah. Seeds.
- 58:59She's back there. Give us a thumbs up whenever
- 59:02everything gets cooled down over there.
- 59:04Are you ready? Can we get you up on the screen?
- 59:08All right, all right I got it up on the screen.
- 59:12So we're basically having a discussion about what happens at
- 59:15Christians who in their life. We're also we've been discussing
- 59:19what happens when people of other Faith.
- 59:22Basically. What happens with the afterlife
- 59:24deal? So, all that talk about some
- 59:26Bible verses and awesome. Mr. Proverbs has been scratching
- 59:30his back, repeatedly on the Mike.
- 59:33He's got a really itchy back today.
- 59:36Okay? Dina get down from there.
- 59:38If you turn the Proverbs being that you are you have a close
- 59:43friendship with tomorrow. Would you like to review her and
- 59:46some of the questions, again, her opinions and ideas on
- 59:49things? Yeah, absolutely.
- 59:52So basically tomorrow, we're having the Great, Eight on
- 59:56whether or not suicide in completing suicide is an
- 1:00:00unforgivable sin and what happens to believers who have a
- 1:00:05legitimate relationship with Christ Jesus with Yeshua
- 1:00:09Messiah. What happens when they're placed
- 1:00:12in the unique, sad situation of having to decide whether or not
- 1:00:17ending their life would be best for themselves or for their
- 1:00:20family. What happens to them in?
- 1:00:22Eternity, you cared I'd give us Your input.
- 1:00:27Yeah, so this issue has come close to home for me.
- 1:00:34I lost my father. I'm gonna livestream.
- 1:00:38Can you go over there taken? I lost my father by Suicide and
- 1:00:44my late husband as well. So I've done a lot of
- 1:00:50contemplating and meditating on this issue and scripture.
- 1:00:54Search and I don't see evidence in the Hebrew Bible, which I
- 1:01:00considered to be the foundation of the New Testament, you know,
- 1:01:04all the foundational Concepts started in the Torah and the
- 1:01:07prophets and I don't see any Eternal condemnation for the
- 1:01:15Kings of Israel, and the prophets who fell by Suicide, of
- 1:01:20course, it's not the end goal, you know.
- 1:01:24The most high wants us to have life.
- 1:01:27But there are situations in which, you know, oppression
- 1:01:31captivity, different things drive, people to suicide, and
- 1:01:35it's really a kind of sorrow and mourning, you know, I think if
- 1:01:42it can be prevented, it should be.
- 1:01:45But I also think there has to be compassion when people are
- 1:01:48driven into a corner, you know, oppression is real.
- 1:01:53There are times where people are taken.
- 1:01:55As slaves or kidnapped or tortured, you know, extreme
- 1:02:00situations like that. Where I'm, I mean, I think if I
- 1:02:05was in that situation and I hear a lot of people say, well, you
- 1:02:11know, if you walk with the most high heel, just save you out of
- 1:02:14everything, but you see, plenty of examples in the Hebrew Bible,
- 1:02:17where his servants were allowed to suffer, you know, Abel wasn't
- 1:02:22saved from murder and Joseph. Wasn't safe from prison.
- 1:02:26You have Daniel, you know, he wasn't safe from captivity.
- 1:02:29There's all there's more situations but like, or John the
- 1:02:32immerser. You know, he was beheaded in
- 1:02:34prison. You know, people are not always
- 1:02:38saved from their suffering, so the Servants of the most high
- 1:02:44suffering and a lot of times, it's to bring the the wicked and
- 1:02:49his people into judgment, you know.
- 1:02:53So obviously No, we should do our best to prolong our life but
- 1:02:58I definitely see compassion in the scriptures for those who,
- 1:03:02you know, collapse under oppression you know that that
- 1:03:06would be my view on that mr. Proverbs.
- 1:03:10Can you host for a little while with Tamar and water?
- 1:03:14I'll be right back in a moment. You're a great host, so I know
- 1:03:17you'll do a good job. Keep the zoo animals out there.
- 1:03:20Behaving absolutely Brett. See another Other point to add
- 1:03:25on to that tomorrow that I had was that there's a misconception
- 1:03:30in the Christian faith and will extend that to the Messianic
- 1:03:34Faith. I'll consider them, you know,
- 1:03:36one, one large group, but there's a misconception in our
- 1:03:40faith, that suicide is an unforgivable sin because there
- 1:03:45is no way to repent of it after the fact.
- 1:03:48But I strongly disagree with that because I'm very studied in
- 1:03:53the word. Word tells me clearly that
- 1:03:56there's only one unpardonable sin and that's blasphemy of the
- 1:03:59Holy Spirit and I definitely think that we are going to have
- 1:04:04to answer to God when we decide to make that decision to
- 1:04:08complete suicide, right? Because God ultimately desires
- 1:04:13us to Value the life that he gave us.
- 1:04:16But I see no, no biblical standard that points to people
- 1:04:21who have been put in that unique and in sorrow Awful situation
- 1:04:26that there is no Redemption for them.
- 1:04:29As a matter of fact, we know that people who are going
- 1:04:32through deep pits of Despair like that or closer to the
- 1:04:35Father's Heart. He he suffers with them, he
- 1:04:39hurts with us and I think that that definitely carries over
- 1:04:44even to the most extreme situations where people do
- 1:04:47decide to complete suicide. Like your father and your your
- 1:04:51late husband and even my brother Right, right?
- 1:04:56And you know, even if we could categorize suicide is a sin, I
- 1:05:02think people have to realize that it's not a sin of malice,
- 1:05:06you know, it's the it's the sins in the Torah which our sins of
- 1:05:10malice like kidnapping and adultery and murder of another
- 1:05:14person that are treated the most harsh and it's suicide is not
- 1:05:21like somebody doesn't set out to hurt other.
- 1:05:24People when they die by Suicide, its utter despair.
- 1:05:28You know like I think when a person is so broken or hurting
- 1:05:32inside that the father has compassion, you know, I mean if
- 1:05:37like if one of I try to put myself in like a parental role
- 1:05:41like if one of my children was hurting so deeply that they
- 1:05:47thought that that was the only choice that they had.
- 1:05:50Like, of course, I wouldn't agree with their choice but
- 1:05:53there would be I have so much compassion for that situation.
- 1:05:56Like, could you imagine how much a person is hurting inside that
- 1:06:00they really convince themselves that that this is all any way to
- 1:06:06my pain or whatever's ailing me, you know, like if somebody's at
- 1:06:11that point like it's just sad you know it's not I don't think
- 1:06:14it's a point where we have to like keep pointing the finger at
- 1:06:17them like look what they did. You know, that's so bad.
- 1:06:20I mean it's just sad, right? Absolutely and Brett brought up
- 1:06:26an interesting scripture. Verse earlier, about those who
- 1:06:31destruct God's Temple, which we are his Temple now, he will
- 1:06:36destroy them. But if you think about it, even
- 1:06:39in that decision of completing suicide that's been fulfilled.
- 1:06:43Because while destroying that Temple, God allowed you to be
- 1:06:47destroyed you know, physically. So that dead that he requires.
- 1:06:52As for that particular transgression was paid instantly
- 1:06:56in that moment. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:59I mean, we are supposed to care for our bodies as a, as a
- 1:07:04treasure, you know. But I just think that the father
- 1:07:08is close to people who are very broken and I think two aside
- 1:07:13isn't Choice from Brokenness, you know, past traumas or even
- 1:07:18inability to communicate because a lot of times a person is
- 1:07:21convincing themselves that, you know, that the people around
- 1:07:27them are better. A off without them.
- 1:07:29You know, a lot of people who die by Suicide, they their
- 1:07:32receptors for love are inhibited, you know, they were
- 1:07:35taught as children that they weren't worthy and those
- 1:07:38messages that are put into them from a very small, child can
- 1:07:42linger for a long time, you know?
- 1:07:46It's just it just sad. I just don't see it being a
- 1:07:49situation in which condemnation is is the approach because
- 1:07:55really a person could stay Say and be proud and enjoy all the
- 1:08:00luxuries of life but they're actually choosing to leave the
- 1:08:03pleasures of this world. So it's just it's sorrowful, I
- 1:08:06think. Yeah, absolutely water.
- 1:08:11Are you still with us? Do you want to chime in?
- 1:08:15Yeah. You there water?
- 1:08:29Okay. Can you hear me now?
- 1:08:36Yes, sir. We hear you.
- 1:08:37Loud and clear? Yeah, I was, I was wondering if
- 1:08:44you think this is it accurate to of God, would you just proverbs?
- 1:08:59So, what is the question would you describe God is?
- 1:09:10I'm sorry brother. All I got is, would you describe
- 1:09:13God? And then you blacked out?
- 1:09:24Okay, so it looks like water is having some difficulties with
- 1:09:29his audio and it looks like Tamar has stepped away briefly.
- 1:09:34I'll tell you what missing mod. I sure do wish that you would
- 1:09:37take that link and hop on here and join us, because I feel like
- 1:09:42you would be an asset to this conversation.
- 1:09:51Yeah and you guys let us know in the comments.
- 1:09:54How many of you have been personally impacted by this
- 1:09:59topic? How many of you have a loved one
- 1:10:02or a friend or family member that has been so deep in
- 1:10:07depression or so. Down in despair that they've
- 1:10:12contemplated either completing suicide or actually taking the
- 1:10:17plunge to complete suicide. You know, and there's there's
- 1:10:32many situations in the scriptures where men have laid
- 1:10:36down their life and we referenced the scripture earlier
- 1:10:40where the Bible says, there's no greater love than this, than a
- 1:10:45man would lay down his life for his brother and that is exactly
- 1:10:49what Christ did for us. You know, Christ, Did not have
- 1:10:54his life, stolen Christ willingly laid it down.
- 1:10:57The Bible says that even while he was dying on the cross, he
- 1:11:01could have called hosts of angels, that's over 10,000
- 1:11:05angels, in an instant to come, destroy the Earth, and take him
- 1:11:09off the cross, and bring him back to heaven and said, him on
- 1:11:12his throne, and he decided to stay there and be obedient to
- 1:11:16the will of the father and suffer for us.
- 1:11:20That's laying down your life for your brother.
- 1:11:27Missing mod. Are you going to come join us?
- 1:11:30I really wish that you would I happen to have on good authority
- 1:11:34that you have a microphone and I also know that you have a
- 1:11:38YouTube channel where you've been doing some pretty good
- 1:11:42videos and you have a very radio esque voice.
- 1:11:48So you need to stop playing these games and come join us.
- 1:11:52And I'm also trying to talk If my girlfriend into joining us
- 1:11:57some time but she is super, super shy.
- 1:12:02Proverbs you had said something pretty interesting.
- 1:12:05Back in the conversation, you were mentioned, how some people
- 1:12:08might argue that by committing suicide, you can't get
- 1:12:14forgiveness for the sin and stuff.
- 1:12:16This is what some people might argue, but isn't everybody in
- 1:12:20the world center, even if we accept Christ, none of us are
- 1:12:24pure. - we can never be at the Perfection of Jesus Christ.
- 1:12:29If you're driving down the road, let me give an example.
- 1:12:32The folks, any one of you are driving down the road and
- 1:12:36suddenly you look to your right, you're distracted.
- 1:12:38You see an extremely attractive man or woman and you're like,
- 1:12:43wow and you start having a little bit of lustful thoughts
- 1:12:47and in that moment you're hit by a damn banana truck, just right
- 1:12:52at that moment while you're distracted in the middle of the
- 1:12:54lustful. Thought but all your life,
- 1:12:56you've committed yourself to God and Jesus.
- 1:12:59Do people really believe that God is at Petty that he will
- 1:13:02just simply say, ah, you screwed up in the last five seconds of
- 1:13:06your life. See ya, you know?
- 1:13:08No pass. Go.
- 1:13:10Collect $200. What your thoughts.
- 1:13:12Proverbs, I 100% agree with you Brett.
- 1:13:17As a matter of fact, I would take it even further than that.
- 1:13:20From Adam, the very first man who ever walked the face of the
- 1:13:24Earth. Very first representation of
- 1:13:27mankind itself, all the way to the last baby who will ever be
- 1:13:31born in the history of the world.
- 1:13:33Every single one of us is dying a center.
- 1:13:37Every single one of us is going to stand Before the Throne of a
- 1:13:41righteous God as filthy rags. And it's only after we get there
- 1:13:47in stand before, our father, that Christ is going to cover
- 1:13:49our sins with with white pure clothes covered.
- 1:13:55In his righteousness. So every one of us is dying in
- 1:13:59sin and that means every transgression I'm committing
- 1:14:03right now. Whether God was to end my life
- 1:14:06in this very moment or if I was to die, 80 years old, as a
- 1:14:10pastor, and a missionary, in Africa, feeding sick children.
- 1:14:14I am a wicked. Filthy, filthy disgusting
- 1:14:16Center. And it's only when I stand
- 1:14:20before my righteous father and my savior Christ Jesus covers my
- 1:14:25Ins and covers my filthy rags that I'm, I'm once then holy and
- 1:14:31purified. So I agree with you Brett and I
- 1:14:34don't think it's any different. Was someone who decides to
- 1:14:37complete suicide? So, there's many different
- 1:14:42people who go through their struggles in life.
- 1:14:45There's people who are depressed, the people who do not
- 1:14:47like the routine that the system and the government, and maybe
- 1:14:51even the employment that they have.
- 1:14:53Maybe they don't, they don't feel like they're providing good
- 1:14:57enough for they're doing enough protecting for whatever the
- 1:15:00reasons and justifications. If you were to engage someone
- 1:15:04like this Proverbs guy who just feels like, there's, there's no
- 1:15:08hope to move Arn. What would you say to to them if
- 1:15:11you had the opportunity to talk to someone who suffer in this
- 1:15:15way, Well, you know one thing that you really have to address
- 1:15:22first is what kind of suffering is this person going through,
- 1:15:26right? Like is this person suffering
- 1:15:29emotionally because even though that can be very, very painful,
- 1:15:34you could still have some hope through that.
- 1:15:36You can still offer that there's a light at the end of the
- 1:15:39tunnel, right? Someone who's been married for
- 1:15:4230 years to the love of their life and, you know, their dear
- 1:15:45loved one passes away in a car accident.
- 1:15:48And they feel like they have no purpose to go on in life.
- 1:15:51There's hope you know, there's there's hope out there for them
- 1:15:55to keep going on and I would encourage them in that but you
- 1:15:58also have other situations where you know it almost seems selfish
- 1:16:03to not try to at least be understanding even though you
- 1:16:07would try to talk somebody and ultimately you know saving their
- 1:16:11life and preserving that gift that God gave them.
- 1:16:14You know, let's take an extreme situation.
- 1:16:16Say somebody has A crippling cancer and it's non-curable it's
- 1:16:22non-reversible it's already past that point of no return.
- 1:16:26So they have a period coming very soon where they know
- 1:16:31they're going to die. Let's say they have a year and
- 1:16:34every single moment they wake up there in excruciating pain and
- 1:16:38while they're in excruciating pain, they have to take
- 1:16:41medication. That's tearing apart the alone.
- 1:16:44And let me mute that, sorry, Stephen I had to mute.
- 1:16:49I don't know what's going on over there.
- 1:16:50Continue on sorry medication right medications, right?
- 1:16:54It's deteriorating your liver. So you're slowly destroying your
- 1:16:58temple anyways. And on top of that, you have an
- 1:17:02a definite expiration date. Like how could we justify
- 1:17:08telling them that God would be? So displeased with them.
- 1:17:13If they sped that year, time, frame up a little bit to take
- 1:17:16themselves out of pain. I don't see how we could Brett.
- 1:17:22Well, I'm going to talk about something kind of personal and
- 1:17:25personal to me, that led them to a lot of issues that I've seen
- 1:17:29where people will eventually end up committing.
- 1:17:31Suicide of their lives will be destroyed and I want people's
- 1:17:35opinion out there and chat as well as Proverbs.
- 1:17:38I have had many many friends out there as well.
- 1:17:41As some family members who have bipolar manic depression, who
- 1:17:46have severity depression where they get to a point where they
- 1:17:48have their highs and their lows for one day, they feel Like,
- 1:17:52you're on top of the world and other days, they just feel like
- 1:17:55the world's coming to an end on them.
- 1:17:57It's literally falling apart, around them.
- 1:17:59So some of these people they want to make an effort to feel
- 1:18:03joy and happiness in their life. They want to get over that and
- 1:18:07balance out the chemistry. So they go to doctors and they
- 1:18:11either get misdiagnosed or they're given so many drugs and
- 1:18:15medications that it's like a human Pharmacy running around.
- 1:18:19I feel like there's a There's a lot of manipulation, there's a
- 1:18:24disadvantage going on there where people are looking for
- 1:18:27help and then within 10 minutes, they're given out all these
- 1:18:32prescriptions and all these drugs that they ought to take
- 1:18:35and it ends up either turning them into a zombie or taking
- 1:18:38anything away from them. That would have been considered
- 1:18:41life and sometimes they're given so many drugs, they get addicted
- 1:18:45to it, and it ends up, harming them physically and mentally and
- 1:18:49making it a hundred times worse than before.
- 1:18:52Now, there's some positive stories out there but there's a
- 1:18:54lot of really negative stories and I don't see a lot of people
- 1:18:58talking about this. What is your thoughts proverb?
- 1:19:01Sorry for going on so long now, I would I would have to say, I
- 1:19:07agree with you and you know, we also have to keep in mind that
- 1:19:11we're at a very unique time in human history, where it wasn't
- 1:19:16two very long ago where something as simple as the flu.
- 1:19:22Almost certainly kill you. And there were so many diseases
- 1:19:27without treatment, that it was a fast and painless death in a lot
- 1:19:32of cases. Where as now where we've
- 1:19:34developed as a society with modern medications, we have the
- 1:19:38ability to prolong off an inevitable death from multiple,
- 1:19:43various diseases. And I think that we've actually
- 1:19:48complicated it by doing so, like, in a A lot of these cases
- 1:19:53where somebody has a disease that God would have been
- 1:19:56merciful and taking them out quickly out of the pain.
- 1:19:59We give them medications to extend it longer and I just my
- 1:20:04heart goes out to them in that kind of situation.
- 1:20:06You know what I mean? I hear you there.
- 1:20:12What did you guys as feelings up there?
- 1:20:14Those who are in text. Seems like they're still
- 1:20:18concerned about water fixing as microphone.
- 1:20:22Hopefully does get that going because I would love for them to
- 1:20:25be able to participate in the discussion.
- 1:20:28I just see a lot of misuse of medication.
- 1:20:31I see a lot of doctors prescribing things that people
- 1:20:34really don't need and sometimes I wonder to myself is all those
- 1:20:37things prescribed to people because they want to help the
- 1:20:40folks or because they make an extra Buck, I just am curious
- 1:20:45about that because I see too many people suffer I see too
- 1:20:48many people to do is taken out of their life and people find
- 1:20:52themselves from that dark Road and they don't know if there's
- 1:20:55any kind of hope. Why is Hope and having faith so
- 1:21:00important, it seems like a very it seems like an element that
- 1:21:04the human species requires in order to exist.
- 1:21:07Why do you think that is Hmm. Well, I'll tell you what, I
- 1:21:14think, it's because hope is a gift, and God is Not oblivious
- 1:21:20to the Fallen World, right? He knew before he even put Adam
- 1:21:24in the garden. What ultimately, it would all
- 1:21:27turn into and I think that having Hope was a gift, right?
- 1:21:33Even Adam, had the promise of redemption through Christ, all
- 1:21:37the way back after being kicked out of the garden.
- 1:21:40And imagine how pointless life would have been after being
- 1:21:45kicked out of the garden if he didn't have that hope of
- 1:21:48redemption. Could you imagine being the man
- 1:21:51who literally brought sin and death into the world and not
- 1:21:55knowing that one day, God would give us the opportunity to be
- 1:21:59rescued from it. Could you imagine the guilt that
- 1:22:02Adam would have lived through. So Hope and Faith.
- 1:22:07These aren't just things that We happen to naturally default to.
- 1:22:13I think they're actually quite literally a gift that God gives
- 1:22:17us just to get through the day. I got a really odd question for
- 1:22:23you. Proverbs guy?
- 1:22:24Because I know that you've had a lot of discussions on this
- 1:22:28subject matter. I know Ken Tobin has had a lot
- 1:22:31of subject matter on this but at what point in time did Evolution
- 1:22:35evolve a mechanism in our head that told us a survival of the
- 1:22:40fittest is no longer important that we should just end it.
- 1:22:44We're in evolution did this happen.
- 1:22:47You got any theories? I don't know, quite when this
- 1:22:55idea of survival of the fittest came in, I can tell you that
- 1:23:00it's definitely a wicked ideology, right?
- 1:23:04Survival of the fittest. Basically says, the strongest
- 1:23:07one is going to win, but that's the exact opposite of the
- 1:23:11example that God gives us all throughout scriptures.
- 1:23:15It's always supposed to be about looking out for the week.
- 1:23:19Vessels, right? We're always supposed to put
- 1:23:21weaker vessels ahead of ourselves.
- 1:23:24I mean, that's why God put the man over, the, the family, it
- 1:23:28wasn't so that he could be Lord over the family.
- 1:23:31It was because he's the stronger vessel and he's supposed to be
- 1:23:35sacrificing himself daily for the weaker vessel.
- 1:23:38So I think that survival of the fittest is an ideology.
- 1:23:44That literally came to Be counter to God's Perfect Design,
- 1:23:49which was to look out for the weaker, right?
- 1:23:52I mean, God put Adam over the animals, to be a caretaker over
- 1:23:57them. It wasn't so that he could hunt
- 1:24:00them all down into Extinction and feast and barbecue every
- 1:24:04weekend. But everything about evolution
- 1:24:09is to counter God's original design, you know, it's an
- 1:24:12explanation for the absence of God and when you take God out of
- 1:24:17the equation. Evolution is a very sad theology
- 1:24:21but not only is it a sad theology.
- 1:24:24It's a very selfish theology, when you get down to brass tacks
- 1:24:28and look at things just like you brought up And it's
- 1:24:33counterintuitive also isn't it? The survival of his because the
- 1:24:38fittest in the strong or going to one day get week there, one
- 1:24:41day going to get old there. One day going to struggle with
- 1:24:44things that they didn't struggle with this hard before.
- 1:24:48So it seems like it's just simply a death cult and it's
- 1:24:51definitely goes against the very nature of God.
- 1:24:54God teaches us to be protectors merciful, guardians of each
- 1:24:59other to love each other, we're Cosmic Family.
- 1:25:02That should be protecting taking care of each other.
- 1:25:05Not throwing someone away because they're older, because
- 1:25:08they're disabled, are because they have some other thing going
- 1:25:11on with them, whether it's mental or physical.
- 1:25:15It seems like the beneficial way of doing things and also to keep
- 1:25:19ourselves alive and having Hope and Faith.
- 1:25:22It's also, what keeps us moving forward?
- 1:25:25That's at least what I think. Yeah, I would totally agree with
- 1:25:29that Brett and even to push it a little bit past that point,
- 1:25:33right? God put a Instinct and every
- 1:25:38creation on Earth for a sense of community especially with
- 1:25:42mankind. You know, he designed us to be a
- 1:25:46family unit, he designed us to be a community and survival of
- 1:25:50the fittest is the deterioration of community, right?
- 1:25:54Because it moves us from one solid.
- 1:25:57Family unit looking out for each other and building each other up
- 1:26:01to all Survive and Thrive and as one family unit to if I'm
- 1:26:07stronger than you, I'm going to survive because that's all that
- 1:26:11matters. It takes the design that God
- 1:26:14made for us to be a selfless unit and it places us into a
- 1:26:19selfish unit. I agree with the Proverbs guy.
- 1:26:27Well I have I feel as though I have said pretty much all I can
- 1:26:31say yarn how I feel about this. It's a very passionate in-depth
- 1:26:38concept that is going on in everybody's existence that I
- 1:26:41felt really, really needed to be talked about.
- 1:26:43I care about everybody, anybody, no matter what your non-belief
- 1:26:47is, our your faith. We care about you, we're
- 1:26:50interested in your life and we don't want to see people go
- 1:26:53down. And my philosophy and advice is
- 1:26:56always been. Is that life is a roller coaster
- 1:26:58ride? It's going to have its ups and
- 1:27:00downs. There's no reason to rush the
- 1:27:03machine just finish it to the end, enjoy the ride, while it
- 1:27:07lasts and realize that the Bible.
- 1:27:10And as far as the Bible goes, it doesn't teach us at the world's
- 1:27:14going to be fair. It's not ever going to be
- 1:27:17righteous for us but the only Improvement and advancement we
- 1:27:21can do before. God gets back as we can try.
- 1:27:23Of Godly lives. And try to mimic at least the
- 1:27:27concept of love, as well as Heaven while we're still alive.
- 1:27:31And then, of course, when we pass the joy and the tears go
- 1:27:34away what you got for me Proverbs you got any more things
- 1:27:38you want to bring up? Now I am like you man.
- 1:27:43I think we've addressed this topic with a good heart and I'm
- 1:27:47really happy that you were willing to take on some of these
- 1:27:50taboo subjects that a lot of Believers try to avoid.
- 1:27:53Cause of confusion and being afraid that they're going to be
- 1:27:57judged for it. And I'm hoping that going over
- 1:28:01these different topics that we have in mind and God's put on
- 1:28:05our heart, we're going to be able to kind of take these taboo
- 1:28:09topics and bring them into the mainstream and hopefully
- 1:28:12unconfessed use a lot of people about what's actually biblical
- 1:28:16and what is a well-meaning person's interpretation.
- 1:28:22Now folks in case some of you don't know it in the future me
