- 0:09Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another episode of Bucko Territory,
- 0:13Speaker 1: presented to you by the Foul Territory Network. I'm no Ohiles,
- 0:16Speaker 1: joining me as always are my coast Josh Harrison and
- 0:19Speaker 1: Platinum Key aka Mark. It is Monday, August seventeenth. The
- 0:23Speaker 1: Pirates have won a series, first time they've done that
- 0:28Speaker 1: since their first series out of the All Star Break.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Does it give this team any hope that it can
- 0:32Speaker 1: turn things around and get back into the National Wildcard race?
- 0:38Speaker 1: National League Wildcard Race? I should say we're gonna talk
- 0:41Speaker 1: about that. We're also gonna talk about Paul Skeins. That's
- 0:44Speaker 1: what we'll lead off the show with. His start day moved.
- 0:47Speaker 1: He was supposed to be on Sunday. He will pitch
- 0:49Speaker 1: again Wednesday instead, and then we will round out our
- 0:52Speaker 1: show as we always do with Mark's Platinum Key of
- 0:56Speaker 1: the week. But guys, we will start off with Paul Schemes.
- 1:00Speaker 1: That's the big news of the weekend. He was supposed
- 1:03Speaker 1: to start on Sunday. I actually wrote a column over
- 1:06Speaker 1: the weekend saying that if he did not look like
- 1:09Speaker 1: Paul Skins, or if he looked similar to how he
- 1:12Speaker 1: had looked over his last couple of outings that the
- 1:16Speaker 1: Pirates would be better off shutting him down. They didn't
- 1:19Speaker 1: even give him a chance to pitch on Sunday, which
- 1:23Speaker 1: kind of shows that there is something wrong about with him.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Because they moved his start date back to Wednesday. He
- 1:31Speaker 1: is scheduled to now pitch on Wednesday, the nineteenth against
- 1:34Speaker 1: the Detroit Tigers. This is coming off of his last outing,
- 1:38Speaker 1: which would have been a week prior to that, where
- 1:42Speaker 1: he had his career low velocity on the fastball. He
- 1:46Speaker 1: was pulled after just sixty five pitches over five innings
- 1:49Speaker 1: in Miami. Guys, just your overall reaction to this start
- 1:54Speaker 1: date getting moved back. Ben Cherrington says, he's dealing with
- 1:57Speaker 1: some stuff right now, not hurt. But if everything was okay,
- 2:04Speaker 1: he would have started yesterday.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So your reaction, yeah, Josh, take it away first here
- 2:11Speaker 2: there's something to it, and you're saying that he could
- 2:16Speaker 2: be heard.
- 2:17Speaker 3: There's always that possibility when you talk about a picture
- 2:19Speaker 3: lose that much velocity. But at the same time, at
- 2:22Speaker 3: this point of the season, considering where they were and
- 2:26Speaker 3: what they've done in the past week and a half, if
- 2:28Speaker 3: it's not you know, could be something they're trying to
- 2:31Speaker 3: fix something mechanically and not have to go out there
- 2:36Speaker 3: and figure it out. You know, four days in between
- 2:39Speaker 3: starts maybe give him a couple extra days to maybe
- 2:42Speaker 3: lock something in, maybe some disconnection that he hasn't been
- 2:46Speaker 3: able to you know, figure out. Because I believe if
- 2:50Speaker 3: there was something bother him that causes some pain or
- 2:54Speaker 3: some discomfort, that it wouldn't be smart to keep pitching,
- 2:58Speaker 3: but just might be something that allows him to lock
- 3:00Speaker 3: in something mechanically or you know, continue to fight through
- 3:04Speaker 3: something because you know, if something is wrong mechanically, it
- 3:07Speaker 3: can lead to injury, you know. So not saying that
- 3:11Speaker 3: he doesn't feel anything, but you know, I think if
- 3:14Speaker 3: something was truly wrong, I would hope that they wouldn't
- 3:18Speaker 3: run him back out there after losing that much velocity.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I'm hoping that it's something where maybe he's found something
- 3:24Speaker 3: that's like, oh you know what, I think this is it,
- 3:27Speaker 3: but I really you know, think about skipping the start
- 3:31Speaker 3: or pushing back up day. Oh yeah, that allows me
- 3:33Speaker 3: to just you know, repeat this move and maybe you know,
- 3:36Speaker 3: find maybe that missing mechanical link that allows him to
- 3:40Speaker 3: get back to piecing this together.
- 3:43Speaker 4: That's that's just the thought.
- 3:44Speaker 3: But I would hope that, you know, if there's something
- 3:48Speaker 3: that's bothering him and causing discomfort, that he wouldn't be
- 3:50Speaker 3: going out there. But I'm not opposed to it. You know,
- 3:53Speaker 3: maybe it's you know Clint when I played, you know,
- 3:57Speaker 3: at the moment where he did it with Ash Hamilton
- 4:00Speaker 3: when he is what the Rangers did it with cuts.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I think he did it with Josh Bell where you know,
- 4:04Speaker 3: as a as an everyday guy, he sat him for
- 4:06Speaker 3: like three days. You know, so maybe this start could
- 4:09Speaker 3: be equivalent to give you a couple more days the
- 4:11Speaker 3: process and you know, who knows baseball's funny, You can't
- 4:16Speaker 3: really say, but you do hope that some things start
- 4:19Speaker 3: to turn around that he, you know, can kind of
- 4:21Speaker 3: find what that missing piece was.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Paul needed to hit the reset button. And so
- 4:28Speaker 2: there's there's two different ways I think that you can
- 4:30Speaker 2: look at this.
- 4:32Speaker 5: One.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's the Pirates are giving up on the season. They're
- 4:35Speaker 2: basically out of the playoff race. They're just trying to
- 4:38Speaker 2: get Paul Skins right. They don't want to push him,
- 4:40Speaker 2: extend him too far. Yeah, they need him right now.
- 4:43Speaker 2: But you know it's it's not worth it to try
- 4:47Speaker 2: and risk it for a three or four percent chance
- 4:49Speaker 2: of making the playoffs. My other thought, more optimistic, is
- 4:54Speaker 2: this is the year one last shot at saving the
- 4:57Speaker 2: season because the current Paul Skins that is running out there,
- 5:01Speaker 2: you're not going to make the playoffs with him as
- 5:03Speaker 2: your ace. You need him to get right, you need
- 5:07Speaker 2: to fit him to figure things out. And so if
- 5:09Speaker 2: this is your one last stitch effort to say, hey,
- 5:12Speaker 2: this is your shot to get right during the season
- 5:15Speaker 2: this year. If you can't get right after this, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 2: misstart or skip start, we'll just reevaluate. But so that's
- 5:24Speaker 2: my optimistic take is, yeah, it sucks to see your
- 5:27Speaker 2: ace misstart, but he needed it. He needed that reset button.
- 5:32Speaker 2: And if there's one chance that Paul Skin is going
- 5:34Speaker 2: to get right and fix whatever mechanically is going on,
- 5:38Speaker 2: it's by doing this. So I was I was happy
- 5:40Speaker 2: to see it. It's a tough decision to make. We
- 5:43Speaker 2: need still have playoff hopes active, but I think it
- 5:46Speaker 2: was the right move.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree that it was the right move. I
- 5:53Speaker 1: don't know if I signified that I thought this was
- 5:55Speaker 1: an injury in my opening monologue here, because if I
- 5:59Speaker 1: did that's not what I meant to do. I think
- 6:02Speaker 1: this clearly shows it's just fatigue. I think that's my
- 6:05Speaker 1: big takeaway here. It's that when you when you pair
- 6:10Speaker 1: this decision with everything that we've been seeing prior, from
- 6:13Speaker 1: the dip in velocity to his in to his inefficiencies
- 6:17Speaker 1: the second and third time through the order complete. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: the horizontal movement, like, yeah, it just shows it. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: think he's running out of gas, and I think the
- 6:24Speaker 1: Pirates recognize this, And to both of the points that
- 6:27Speaker 1: Mark just made. On one end, it's like, yeah, they're
- 6:30Speaker 1: probably trying to get Paul Skins right for twenty twenty
- 6:33Speaker 1: seven more than twenty twenty six, but also they are
- 6:36Speaker 1: still trying to win games right now, and attired Paul
- 6:39Speaker 1: Skins does not give them a very good chance to
- 6:41Speaker 1: win games. They won the game on Sunday with Lake
- 6:44Speaker 1: Balker our our freaking dog.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Gives us give the Pirates.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah, so I mean that's that. I think it was
- 6:55Speaker 1: a win win decision, and it's it's in the best
- 6:57Speaker 1: interests of Paul Skins. It's in the best interests of
- 7:00Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh Pirates right now too, in the now and
- 7:03Speaker 1: in the future for him to get some rest for
- 7:06Speaker 1: him to get right, and we'll see what happens. I
- 7:10Speaker 1: still am of the frame of mind where if you
- 7:12Speaker 1: give him a week of rest and he's still sitting
- 7:14Speaker 1: ninety five with his VLO, then it might just be
- 7:17Speaker 1: more than fatigued or he's just too tired to keep going.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And that's just the harsh reality of it. And I mean,
- 7:24Speaker 1: if that's the case, then you maybe switch to a
- 7:26Speaker 1: six man rotation or move him to the bullpen. And
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't see that happening with Paul freaking schemes. So no,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you shut him down if that's the case. So we'll
- 7:37Speaker 1: see what happens Wednesday. But it's definitely an interesting conversation.
- 7:40Speaker 1: We're definitely gonna have a lot to talk about on
- 7:42Speaker 1: our Friday show, so that'll be interesting. Another thing we
- 7:47Speaker 1: might have to talk about on our Friday show is
- 7:49Speaker 1: a difference season out Look, the Pirates have three more
- 7:51Speaker 1: games at home against the Detroit Tigers, and if they
- 7:55Speaker 1: can win this series, maybe they get a little momentum going.
- 7:57Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about that when we come back here
- 7:59Speaker 1: on Territory.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Hey, for those of you that are on your phones
- 8:05Speaker 4: very often or even if you don't use it much,
- 8:08Speaker 4: you should check out your wireless bill and make sure
- 8:10Speaker 4: that it is treating you well. It's summertime. You're feeling good, right, AJ,
- 8:14Speaker 4: But are you spending too much on your wireless bill?
- 8:17Speaker 4: And should mintmobile get involved now?
- 8:19Speaker 5: Someone that has two college aged kids gott they're always
- 8:22Speaker 5: on their phone, whether it's they're checking their snap, they're
- 8:24Speaker 5: checking their DMS, they're checking their Twitter. I need fifteen
- 8:28Speaker 5: dollars a month because I need unlimited quality coverage that
- 8:31Speaker 5: mintmobile provides.
- 8:32Speaker 4: They get that new wireless plan for just fifteen bucks
- 8:35Speaker 4: a month. Go to mintmobile dot com slash territory. That's
- 8:38Speaker 4: mintmobile dot com slash territory. Cut your wireless bill to
- 8:41Speaker 4: fifteen dollars a month at mintmobile dot com slash territory.
- 8:44Speaker 4: That's it. No catch upfront payment of forty five dollars
- 8:46Speaker 4: for three months, ninety dollars for six months, or one
- 8:48Speaker 4: hundred eighty dollars for twelve month. Plan required fifteen dollars
- 8:51Speaker 4: per month, equivalent taxes and fees extra initial plan term
- 8:54Speaker 4: only greater than fifty gigabytes may slow when network is busy.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Includes up to twenty gigabyte hotspot capable device required, avail ability,
- 9:00Speaker 4: speed and coverage Barry segment Mobile dot Com.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Through the grace of God, the Pirates have won a series.
- 9:08Speaker 1: They played three games against an opponent and only lost
- 9:11Speaker 1: one of them. It took about a month, really yeah
- 9:17Speaker 1: for that to happen. But they take two or three
- 9:20Speaker 1: from the Boston Red Sox, who, for my money, are
- 9:22Speaker 1: probably the second best team in the American League right now.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And they look good. The offense look good, the pitching,
- 9:30Speaker 1: the bullpen, all of it. It was. It was their
- 9:33Speaker 1: best showing they've had really since the All Star Breakers,
- 9:36Speaker 1: since Cleveland, coming out of the All Star Break, Mark,
- 9:38Speaker 1: we gotta start with you. Is there any hope? Is
- 9:42Speaker 1: it just?
- 9:42Speaker 4: Is?
- 9:42Speaker 1: It is? It is the World Series back on, is
- 9:47Speaker 1: what I'm asking you.
- 9:48Speaker 2: The sun hasn't fully set on the horizon of the
- 9:51Speaker 2: twenty twenty six Pirates season quite quite yet. There is
- 9:54Speaker 2: still a glimmer of hope. It was nice to see
- 9:57Speaker 2: like Ezmrall and Valdez really game back into it. Yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Do you say Raphael Flores, No.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I said Brian Reynolds.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Brian Reynolds, Yeah, but yeah, like Raphael floor Is Brian
- 10:09Speaker 2: Reynolds some we had some nice offensive production. Jared Trillo
- 10:13Speaker 2: stepped up a little bit, so it was nice to
- 10:16Speaker 2: see it against left handed pitching too. The lineup that
- 10:20Speaker 2: they tried out for Sunday's game was not the most
- 10:24Speaker 2: appealing to look at, but the results worked. And that's
- 10:29Speaker 2: such like one of those Pirates Sunday lineups where everyone
- 10:32Speaker 2: you know tweets out just like their reactions like what
- 10:35Speaker 2: are we doing? Are we just giving up? And of
- 10:37Speaker 2: course you know that's the game where they go and
- 10:39Speaker 2: score eight runs and look great. But yeah, I mean,
- 10:44Speaker 2: it's gonna be nice to have a series against Detroit.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I don't think the Tigers are too competitive.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I mean their game out of the wild card.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well the AL wild Card is yeah, I know, but
- 10:57Speaker 2: that's not saying too much. Yeah, I think the Pirates
- 11:00Speaker 2: might be like a game out from the ALE Wildcard.
- 11:02Speaker 1: The Pirates, they would be tied for Okay, one game
- 11:05Speaker 1: out of the wildcard.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so ah, fun and fun. Yeah, they're not going
- 11:14Speaker 2: to roll over either, but they're they're a little bit
- 11:16Speaker 2: easier than the Dodgers or the Padres, who the Pirates
- 11:20Speaker 2: had after on the West Coast, So there is some hope.
- 11:24Speaker 2: It's a glimmer. I wouldn't get my hopes up too
- 11:27Speaker 2: crazy because you might get let down. But at least
- 11:30Speaker 2: there's something to play for.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Still. Yeah, I'll follow that by just saying, you look,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I mean, you can't even look at the standings right now.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You just got to get back to five hundred. Once
- 11:42Speaker 1: you're back to five hundred, then you can look around.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I mean if you can. If you can get back
- 11:47Speaker 1: to five hundred before the end of August, then you
- 11:52Speaker 1: can start talking yourself into Okay, you need September to
- 11:55Speaker 1: be your best month of the year. If you go
- 11:57Speaker 1: five games over in September, then maybe you got a shot.
- 12:01Speaker 1: But you got to get the five hundred first. They
- 12:04Speaker 1: got a game closer to it this weekend by winning
- 12:07Speaker 1: two and losing one. They took a step forward. Like
- 12:11Speaker 1: Mark noted, yeah, the Tigers aren't the best competition, but
- 12:14Speaker 1: then again, this is a team that just lost the
- 12:16Speaker 1: series to the New York Mets, that lost three or
- 12:19Speaker 1: four to the Cincinnati Reds. So you can't really overlook
- 12:22Speaker 1: anyone in the Tigers right now. They have a lot
- 12:24Speaker 1: more to play for. Uh, just if you look at
- 12:26Speaker 1: the standing So Josh, I mean, take us into the
- 12:29Speaker 1: mind of a player, is is is it that easy
- 12:32Speaker 1: to just build off of momentum like that when you're
- 12:35Speaker 1: when you're when you're stumbling and your team struggling. How
- 12:38Speaker 1: big is a series win like this?
- 12:42Speaker 3: At this point of the season, every series win is big,
- 12:44Speaker 3: and you know, considering where they've been, you know, it's like, okay,
- 12:49Speaker 3: here we go, and you don't even say every series
- 12:52Speaker 3: win because where they were it was like, man, you
- 12:55Speaker 3: just need one game, one pitch, one at back. So
- 12:59Speaker 3: as player, that's all you're really focusing on, is you know,
- 13:03Speaker 3: even in those struggles, is you just got to play
- 13:06Speaker 3: the game, and you know, could it might be one
- 13:08Speaker 3: pitch you know in this series, or it might be
- 13:11Speaker 3: one at bad, one game that you know turns us around.
- 13:14Speaker 3: And the whole hope thing is you know, as players,
- 13:18Speaker 3: you look at the record, but you don't really look
- 13:20Speaker 3: at the record. Same thing with the standings, just because
- 13:23Speaker 3: you know, it's like, man, at this point, you just
- 13:25Speaker 3: got to focus on what you guys need to do,
- 13:28Speaker 3: which is what you should do in the first place.
- 13:29Speaker 3: But it's a long season and you know, some people
- 13:32Speaker 3: like to watch, some people don't. But your job is
- 13:36Speaker 3: to go out there and until it says that you're eliminated.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I mean, there's always a chance. There's always that possibility
- 13:43Speaker 3: that hey, if we go out there, we know we're
- 13:45Speaker 3: gonna need some help at this point of the season obviously,
- 13:48Speaker 3: but you know, guys aren't in there saying, hey man,
- 13:52Speaker 3: it's August seventeenth. We got a seven percent chance of
- 13:56Speaker 3: making the playoffs. Like, how do you feel like you
- 13:59Speaker 3: know you're in there every day, like, hey, we're going
- 14:02Speaker 3: out there, We're coming to get you, and you know,
- 14:05Speaker 3: let the cards lie where they may. Obviously, as you
- 14:07Speaker 3: get more into September, you know, once you get a
- 14:11Speaker 3: little closer to that, that's where you can kind of
- 14:13Speaker 3: you know, I don't want to say, look at reality,
- 14:16Speaker 3: but right now, you know, god, man, you're still in
- 14:18Speaker 3: striking distance and nobody is in there, like, oh man,
- 14:22Speaker 3: you know this seven percent? You know, you know playoff chances,
- 14:27Speaker 3: you know they and they're like, hey, as you said,
- 14:29Speaker 3: keep when as mini games, when take it one game
- 14:32Speaker 3: at a time. I know everybody has heard that taking
- 14:35Speaker 3: one game at a time, but that's literally all you
- 14:38Speaker 3: can do, and that as part of showing up being
- 14:42Speaker 3: a professional, because I mean, I say it all the time,
- 14:46Speaker 3: not all the time, but I mentioned it. You know,
- 14:48Speaker 3: the Rockies went on the run, uh the Indians at
- 14:51Speaker 3: the Guardians Indians at the time went on the run.
- 14:54Speaker 3: So it's it's not impossible. But you know, you you
- 14:59Speaker 3: they you have a tougher schedule ahead of them. But
- 15:01Speaker 3: at the same time, the way that they played against Boston,
- 15:05Speaker 3: that's comparable, you know, competition that you're gonna be looking at.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So maybe you do step up to the plate and
- 15:11Speaker 3: you know, make this thing interesting. But you know, as
- 15:16Speaker 3: you said, getting the five hundred, yes makes it look
- 15:18Speaker 3: easier or a little better, but at the same time,
- 15:21Speaker 3: can't get to five hundred until you do what they
- 15:23Speaker 3: did this past weekend and win a series. Win it,
- 15:25Speaker 3: take a one game at a time.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And there's help coming to O'Neil. Cruz is going to
- 15:29Speaker 2: be back, hopefully soon, back in Pittsburgh now getting reevaluated
- 15:33Speaker 2: on Sunday, so more more help coming, more reinforcements coming
- 15:37Speaker 2: counter Griffin, hopefully in September as well. So they have
- 15:41Speaker 2: help coming. If they can get to that point, they
- 15:44Speaker 2: just have to keep it up until that that help arrives.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So all right, we're gonna take one more break. When
- 15:51Speaker 1: we come back, we will round out. Today's show was
- 15:54Speaker 1: Mark's Platinum Key of the Week. Here, I'm Bucko Territory.

- 16:58Speaker 2: Foul all Right, this week's Key of the week is
- 17:10Speaker 2: going to focus on the bullpen. We talked for so
- 17:13Speaker 2: so many episodes this whole year about how this bullpen stinks.
- 17:18Speaker 2: This bullpen just needs to get better. This bullpen's dragging
- 17:22Speaker 2: this team down. All of a sudden after the trade deadline,
- 17:26Speaker 2: this bullpen looks completely revamped. It looks like a strength
- 17:30Speaker 2: of this team almost We saw lake Baker on Sunday
- 17:34Speaker 2: step up, as Bob Wack kind of called him the
- 17:37Speaker 2: emergency opener after Paul Skien's got his start. Pushback to Wednesday,
- 17:44Speaker 2: and lake Baker stepped up and through three scoreless iniings
- 17:46Speaker 2: with four strikeouts, looked great. Mason Montgomery had a one
- 17:51Speaker 2: point four to six ERA in July, hasn't allowed an
- 17:54Speaker 2: earn run in August at all, been pitching in the
- 17:58Speaker 2: ninth He looks really, really, really nasty. So you all
- 18:03Speaker 2: of a sudden found a guy who could potentially be
- 18:05Speaker 2: your closer, not just the rest of the year, but
- 18:08Speaker 2: possibly in twenty twenty seven. Johann Ramirez just continuing to
- 18:14Speaker 2: look phenomenal. And there's so many other options that have
- 18:18Speaker 2: stepped up and so I just I really felt like
- 18:21Speaker 2: it was time to highlight the bullpen after we sat
- 18:26Speaker 2: there all year and just saw how much they can hurt.
- 18:29Speaker 2: It's been great to see them step up and not
- 18:32Speaker 2: just win games for the players, but help keep them
- 18:35Speaker 2: in Really like Luke Weaver, I think was the only
- 18:38Speaker 2: guy who had a poor week this week, and I'm
- 18:43Speaker 2: confident that that won't last. So I feel like this
- 18:47Speaker 2: bullpen's in a very good spot. As long as this
- 18:49Speaker 2: offense in rotation can continue to step up and get right,
- 18:54Speaker 2: there's a chance. So thoughts on the bullpen, Josh, are
- 18:59Speaker 2: we are things completely fixed you think? Or do you
- 19:02Speaker 2: think this is just a good run right now for them?
- 19:08Speaker 3: I don't want to say things are completely fixed, because
- 19:10Speaker 3: obviously baseball has a funny way of humbling you. You
- 19:13Speaker 3: just want to say they're, uh, you know, continue to
- 19:16Speaker 3: be a work in progress that is improving, and you know,
- 19:19Speaker 3: with them starting to kind of go this way looking
- 19:23Speaker 3: better obviously after the weekend series winning, you hope that
- 19:28Speaker 3: the rest of the you know, areas of the game,
- 19:31Speaker 3: you know, offense to pitching, defense, you know, trend that way,
- 19:36Speaker 3: and that they all kind of hit stride at the
- 19:38Speaker 3: same time to make you know, this last month and
- 19:41Speaker 3: a half interesting. But as I said, I wouldn't want
- 19:44Speaker 3: to sit here and say that it's fixed, because you
- 19:46Speaker 3: know they're gonna get tested every night. But obviously there's
- 19:51Speaker 3: a lot of contributions coming from a lot of different people,
- 19:54Speaker 3: which is good because you don't want to have to
- 19:56Speaker 3: just rely on you know, one or two people. If
- 19:58Speaker 3: you if you got the whole open chipping in and
- 20:01Speaker 3: making you know, some nice contributions to the team, it
- 20:05Speaker 3: makes it that much you know, I don't want to
- 20:09Speaker 3: say easier, that much more better to say, okay, all right,
- 20:11Speaker 3: we got guys that we can give a blow today
- 20:14Speaker 3: because this guy's gonna cover too. Like you said, you
- 20:17Speaker 3: guys pushing guys starts back. You can have different openers
- 20:20Speaker 3: because guys are like, oh yeah, I got it today.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Yeah. I think the key here now is just finding
- 20:28Speaker 1: a way to use this bullpen more effectively. Uh, because
- 20:33Speaker 1: they have weapons to use now. Like you mentioned Luke Weaver,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think the reason Luke Weaver hasn't looked good recently
- 20:39Speaker 1: is because Luke Weaver hasn't been pitching consistently. He's only
- 20:42Speaker 1: thrown a couple of times since being acquired two weeks ago.
- 20:46Speaker 1: So yeah, they've got to find a way now that
- 20:49Speaker 1: they have these weapons to make use of them. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: that means getting a lead and hanging on to it
- 20:54Speaker 1: till like the fifth or sixth inning, and then you
- 20:56Speaker 1: can deploy Doval, Weaver, Loker, you know, Yates, Like all
- 21:03Speaker 1: of these guys that they went out and got, plus Montgomery,
- 21:05Speaker 1: who's probably thrown the ball the best out of all
- 21:07Speaker 1: of them. You have an opportunity to build momentum through
- 21:12Speaker 1: this element of your team that didn't exist a couple
- 21:14Speaker 1: weeks ago. It's just you got to score runs and
- 21:17Speaker 1: prevent the opposition from score runs in the front half
- 21:20Speaker 1: of the game to make use of it. So anything
- 21:24Speaker 1: to add on that, or do I need to remind
- 21:26Speaker 1: everyone to hit that subscribe button? I think, yeah, all right,
- 21:31Speaker 1: we're bringing in the righty here or left heat doesn't matter.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Subscribe to Bucco Territory. We need three thousand subs. You
- 21:38Speaker 1: can't get there without your help. Also, want to remind
- 21:41Speaker 1: everyone to check out the team store where we've got
- 21:44Speaker 1: all of your good Bucko Territory merch. We're gonna see it.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I believe, so we'll get that. We'll get that back there.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Okay, you know what, Yeah, you guys have seen it.
- 21:55Speaker 1: We've got the hats, the mugs, the bags, everything, guys.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Any final thoughts before we wrap it up.
- 22:02Speaker 2: No, just looking forward to another series win, hopefully here
- 22:06Speaker 2: against another interleague opponent. So keep things rolling and I
- 22:10Speaker 2: mean interested to see how Winnsday goes with Paul Skins
- 22:13Speaker 2: to start, all right, to take it a game out
- 22:19Speaker 2: of time.
- 22:20Speaker 1: All right, So for Platinum kyak Mark and Josh Harrison,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm no ohile signing off saying thanks for tuning in
