- The Drama Drop: up guys? Welcome back to the drama drop. Love is blind is officially out of the pods, and so are all of the red flags. We've got anger issues, family drama, yacht problems, and one couple in particular that need to just call it a day. Plus, I wrap up the episode with answering some of your questions that you guys sent me. So go ahead and get ready because the drama drops now. All right, guys, it happened. We have now made it out of the pods for Love is Blind, Season 11, Boston. Okay. This is where everything gets really a lot more juicy, interesting, you know. That's when I really put my phone down to start paying attention a little bit more. I mean, understand the whole pod situation. You have to, you have to set it all up. You have to. create the storylines and who likes who and who doesn't like who back, a little love triangle, if you will. I get it. I totally understand. But it's really hard to keep my attention during that whole thing because I mean, for the most part, other than, I like you, you don't like me back, there's not really a lot of drama, I'd say. So I just feel kind of meh during that time. but Like I said, everything now will start to unravel itself. Everything where they all thought, you are the perfect person for me. I've been waiting all my life for somebody like you. Anything that was wrong, it's gonna start to show itself now. So, anyways, like I said, they're all out of the pods now, okay? And I have to just start with the elephant in the room of Jackson Stew, okay? They did meet up. Now, this whole interaction to me was in extremely uncomfortable to watch because it really felt like Stu didn't want to be there. understandably so. And then it felt like Jax was just doing this because she had to. I don't know if Love is Blind was like, you need to do this. but she just seemed uncomfortable. She was giggling a lot through the conversation. So, you know. You guys don't remember, which I'm sure you do. She got proposed to by Stu, said yes. They met. And then as soon as they met, you could just feel it was just weird. Okay. She was not vibing with it. And then shortly after, she told producers, I'm leaving. Don't give him any contact information. I want to be not found at all. and that's and that's that. So it was really interesting that now all of a sudden, like, they decide to meet up, whatever. She agrees to it. yeah, she said that he didn't deserve any of that. She felt overwhelmed. And something that I felt very interesting, you know, she kept talking about her friends and family, saying, You need to give this guy a chance. You know, we really like him. She was really emphasizing that. He was a part of her story. He means something to her friends and family, which I felt very bizarre. To me, it almost seemed either one she had to do this, or she is like, I need more of a storyline. I need more TV time. I need to kind of create something buzzworthy. So I'm I am going to go meet him face to face. Anyways, the way they edited it. Did not seem like it made sense. she, you know, I don't know. It just it was such an odd conversation because he is sitting there, just all right, I'll hear you out, but not really believing what she had to say or falling for it. And she is just trying to make it seem convincing or make it seem that she really is sorry. doesn't know what the future could look like for her, but she's giggling at the same time because she feels very uncomfortable. I just wasn't buying any of what they were trying to sell. And it the whole thing was weird. The conversation just didn't make sense with the reactions and the comments back to each other. So I'm very curious to see what that unedited version, that conversation looks like. It just didn't make sense to me. And I don't feel like there was any sort of resolution. It wasn't, okay, great. Let's hug. We'll be friends. Or actually I do want to try, you know? it was just the most strange thing ever. And I don't I'm still trying to understand the whole purpose of it. But don't get me wrong, whenever I saw the little preview before these episodes dropped, I was tuned in. I was ready to tune in. I needed to know what this conversation was and it gave me absolutely nothing. It gave me absolutely nothing. And that is one thing that I am extremely sick of when it comes to previews and trailers and teasers. It makes it seem so good. And we're going to get so much information and it's going to be really juicy. And it's a big nothing burger. A big nothing burger. And I'm sick of it. To be completely honest, I need more information. Make that the whole episode if we need to, to get the context, to get to where it makes sense as to why he's like. Okay. And she's it's just weird. It's weird. I don't know why they did it. I don't know why we did it. but yeah, I just I don't think she was overwhelmed by the experiment. Experiment, sorry, by the experiment. I don't really think it was anything to do with overwhelming feelings. I just get the sense that she just. didn't vibe well with him once she met him face to face. And I just get the vibe that she wanted more TV television time, which sure, understandably so. You make it on this television show. You know what comes after the fact potentially if you play your cards right. So why not milk it for all it's worth? And if it doesn't work out for you in terms of the love department, let's see if you can create a good storyline. Or extend the shelf life being on the show however you can. But needless to say, they had a conversation that didn't really seem that it fulfills anything, one way or the other. It just was very pointless and I was confused by it. I'm curious to know what you guys think on that whole situation. It was just very strange. Okay, so moving on to John and Sarah, okay, I feel like the red flag. Flags are starting to show. And as we all know, John and Sarah fundamentally they just do not seem like they go together. They fit, they have different political beliefs, you know, different views on vaccines, religion, medical needs, like abortions, stuff like that. They are very different in their mindset. And one could think. Okay, how long could a relationship like this truly last? I'm sure there's some people, maybe they make it work. I don't know, but fundamentally you want to think the same things, or you can at least find a common ground of, well, I could see your point on, you know, but they just seemed very different in all of those avenues. So I was very curious to see how this was going to work. once they were. Actually interacting with each other. Okay, so you can really start to see the things unfold for Sarah specifically because she is noticing that John seems to kind of have a temper, anger, and she does not really vibe well with that. She's like, Why are we getting so angry? What what's the problem? he didn't react very well. when they lost their luggage in Mexico. And when I say they, basically production of Love is Blind. they're the ones in charge of everything, getting everything from point A to point B. And, you know, obviously that irritated him, whatever. But I guess the way he respond we didn't see this part. You know, this was off camera, not we weren't involved in this. But apparently his reaction was not very attractive to Sarah. And, you know, your patience, temperament, anger, how you handle frustrating things is very telling of a person. And especially this soon, this early in the game, it's not like it's one of those things where maybe you just had a really long week, one thing after the other is going wrong and you just kind of finally explode or whatever implode. Not necessarily on your partner, but just, you know, you're really frustrated and it's very visibly s sh shown or seen. But What I was gathering is that these instances, yeah, they're frustrating, but that quickly for you to just go from point A to point B. Another one, he was getting really frustrated and heated on the phone because he got some sort of electric bill, but the way he was handling it just wasn't right. And I mean, I could totally see that for sure. For that being a red flag and concern for Sarah because how you treat people, especially in customer service. Is everything. And like I said, there does come to a point, sure, where your anger and frustrations get the best of you. especially if people aren't getting it solved for you. if it's your fifth time calling the electric company, trying to get it all sorted out, yeah, I'm sure your frustration and temperament, that's gonna get a little bit more elevated. But if it's phone call one, try to try to maybe mellow out a little bit. I would be so curious, I mean, guess. They did have issues with their luggage. So she got to see a little bit of that. But something going wrong with the airline, a delay, a flight cancellation, you know, all of that is very telling of a person. And, you know, you could be frustrated. And here's a great thing I just like to point out. with me and my husband, we travel really well together. And we've had a lot, a lot of traveling mishaps. Okay. But one thing that I is really good, at least works really well for like we can handle the frustration really well. Like we don't take it out on each other. We also don't treat people terribly. but you know, we can at least acknowledge that we're frustrated and acknowledge that we're upset. Situations happen, but we don't stress each other out with each other's frustrations. And again, like I said, there does come to a point, you're trying to get something figured out and your people are telling you the wrong information or you're constantly getting the runaround. Sure, your frustration gets to a certain level. But for that to be straight out the gate, that is a, you know, a telltale sign. Also, I would arguably want to know what is he like at a restaurant if his food order is incorrect, they don't refill his drink immediately. They, I don't know, take a little bit too long. What is that service like? Or what his reaction to that type of service, you know? How are you treating those types of people? That is very important. especially too, you know, if you are gonna want to have a family and you have kids, you know, you gotta have a lot of patience. So how is that going to work if you're that quick to snap? Also, too, how is he gonna react to you if? something doesn't go the way he wants it to go or there's an issue. those are things that you do have to think about. So I don't think that she is being dramatic or incorrect in her thought process on this because, one could think, okay, that she's being dramatic. He's frustrated with his electric bill, obviously. But it's more than just the electric bill. It's okay. It's the frustration. It's the temperament. And it's why is this happening? You know, I do, I think it is very reasonable to have that, especially, you know, you're about to marry this person very quickly. You're learning them, their behaviors and how they are very quickly. And I also, you know, think when that this stuff is happening so quickly, you could easily think, okay, they're in a honeymoon phase. It could be a lot easier to kind of have a mask on and maybe not act like how you normally would, but if they're not, then it's a little bit more concerning, you know? so yeah, I I'll be curious to see how this continues to unfold for them. But I just you have the anger, that's kind of a personality trait, right? You know? And on top of not having the same beliefs doesn't sound like a very promising future for the two of you. speaking of not promising futures, Anaya and Cam, okay, to me, this relationship just feels doomed from the start. And I just have to say, I don't know why she decided to come on Love is Blind. I'll be completely honest, because okay, yeah, you can have Love is Blind where you're having the mindset of I don't care what religion they are. I don't care what they look like, their background, perfect. But if you are going into it and you already are worried about your parents, what they think, what they expect of you, and that is something that is important to you, I don't think this is the show for you, you know? So Anaya, you know, she is Hindu. She she says, I'm a brown woman. My parents would love for me to be with a brown guy who is also Hindu. Her parents were in an arranged marriage. they would love for her to be in an arranged marriage herself. You know, they want to kind of curate her life in her future, and she doesn't want that. Which, okay, absolutely. Yeah, it's your life. You should be with who you want to be with. The caveat to that is when you are putting such pressure. On the person that you chose, like he proposed to you, Cam. He proposed to you this white blonde dude. and you know, you keep kind of throwing it in his face. What are you gonna do? Like, my parents aren't gonna be happy about this. Like, they aren't, you know. I mean, could try to say that you relate to Hinduism or whatever, you know, just really constantly throwing in his face that before even meeting him. His her parents are already out. They're already out. He flat out asked, is it because I'm white or is it because I'm not Hindu? And she more so pretty much said, yeah, because you're white. He can't change that. He can't change that. I'm sorry. He can't. So you're telling me you're putting so much on the fact that your parents aren't going to accept him no matter what. But it's still important. For to you, like what your parents think. I don't think that's fair at all for you to put somebody else in this position. Like I said, if you did not care what your parents think, if I know that they are gonna hate this, they are not going to be accepting, but I've already accepted that they won't be accepting and that it's not their life. It's my life. And you kind of already know that. And you know, if they want to come around. later and try to work on the relationship. Okay, great. But if you are just like, I don't want to put my person in this position to feel uncomfortable. I don't care what my parents think. they're just not going to be involved. I'm moving on with my life. that's how you choose to move forward. Okay, that's one thing. But when you're sitting here saying, my parents, like they're really gonna care. They have strong opinions. They're probably not going to like you. But I also care what my parents think. They're important to me. I just don't think that's fair for You to put somebody else in that position. they didn't get that cho they vibed with you. They love you, so they say like enough to think, I want to spend the rest of my life with this person without really, fully having that knowledge. I just don't think that that's very fair. and also too, I get I got really confused. I don't know if you guys saw this, but I saw that she put out a statement on Instagram because Like I said, in the episode, she flat out said, Yeah, because you're white, it's not going to work. But then she posts this statement and I'm going to read it. and she did the amazing thing that I love the black screen and the little white text. Okay. I want to take a moment to clarify something that I feel has been misunderstood. My family and I always have been incredibly accepting of people from all walks of life, regardless of their race, religion, or cultural background. Cam being white. Or not being Hindu was never an issue for me or my family. I'm not done, by the way, but I just need to pause there because I'm s did I misunderstand when you said, it's because you're white, that that's a problem. So you're telling me it wasn't an issue, but you said on the show, how could we and I know the magic of editing. I understand reality TV will like to chop and dice conversations. However, that was that there was no cut. That was a straight sentence that you said to Cam that it was an issue that he was white. So there I'm just really confused. Then she goes on to say, what I was navigating was something much more personal. My family has never met anyone I've dated. So the thought of introducing someone to them for the very first time was a significant milestone in my life. I've always been incredibly proud of my culture and heritage. It's a beautiful part of who I am And naturally, I've always hoped to find a partner who would not only respect it, but embrace and appreciate it alongside me. One of the things I value so much about Cam is how open and receptive he was to learning about my culture from the beginning. I cherish that. Navigating cultural traditions, family expectations, and personal relationships can be nuanced, especially when you're trying to honor where you come from while also following your own heart. Those conversations were never about exclusion. They came from a place of love, respect, and wanting to bring two worlds together. I understand that sharing my story on television opens me up to different interpretations and opinions, but I hope people can recognize that cultural pri pride does not equate to prejudice and that navigating these conversations does not mean rejecting someone for being different. I'm just really freaking confused because yes, it was like that just seemed to be your whole MO. You yourself sure maybe, you know, you want somebody like that isn't a huge issue for you. You obviously want somebody who will respect, your cultural beliefs and where you come from and maybe do some practices, traditions, whatever the case may be. But you're talking about your family who wanted to put you in an arranged marriage and you're sitting here trying to say that it's not about exclusion. It's not about him I just I'm really confused. So I just need if she could come on and re-explain it and Formulate it to where it makes sense because everything that she said in here seems very contradictory to what is being perceived on the show. And I don't really know how to interpret it any other way because is it seems very straightforward that she is saying you not being brown, you not being Hindu is a problem for her family. And that's just like a problem. And she brings it up so much. You can just see the look on Cam's face. He's like, what's the point then? no matter what I do, no matter what I say, it's not gonna even matter. Your family doesn't wanna be a part of this at all. Zero, you know, involvement. I can't change being white. I mean, I can accept your culture. He even talked about that he has a Hindu book. I just don't know where you go from here because it just doesn't seem like there is any way to find a solution with what you're wanting. You're wanting both things, and it doesn't seem like that's going to be the case. But and then you're also trying to tell us that it has nothing to do with what it clearly is. And again, that's fine if you want somebody a part of your culture, or I don't even know, but I just don't think this is the right show for you when you're going into it. Love is blind. Clearly, for you and your family, maybe not necessarily completely about looks, but you are wanting a very specific mold. I don't know. It's just it seems very confusing for me. And I just feel bad for Cam because I think from what I could gather is he had other connections in the pods. And he could have explored those other options. he did, like Anaya, but or Anaya. but it now it's this is being put on him and he feels uncomfortable. Of course, like I totally would too. You're already telling somebody that their family is not going to accept you, no matter literally what. You could respect and learn and convert all that you want if you wanted to. But you being white is a problem and you Quite literally can't change that. So I just don't think it's very fair for Cam in this situation. And I'm also wondering, too, is this just something that she wants to create an issue so he can be the one to break up with her, you know? Some people like to do that. They like to push, they like to nag, they like to make a mountain out of a molehill, whatever. So they don't have to be the one to do the breaking up. Is that is that what this could be? I don't really know, but it's just it's just very interesting. I'm just I don't I can't get a clear read on her at all. And I feel bad for Cam because he quite literally can't do anything to change the situation. So it just doesn't seem like it is going to work out. but I mean we'll see. We'll see. Okay. I really like this couple. Erica and Blake, but there's a lot of cracks coming out. You know, there's a lot of cracks. So Erica and Blake, they both seem normal, well-established people, except when it comes to lifestyles in terms of career. Okay. So, you know, we have Erica. She's like a more stable, traditional lifestyle. She lives in Connecticut. I think she said she does marketing, you know, so corporate girly, whatever. And then you have Blake. Who is a yacht captain, amazing. that's perfect. I love that. Great for you. But he lives a nomadic lifestyle, you know? So it's like you could be out on a boat, on a yacht for weeks at a time, months at a time. I don't know, whatever the situation may be. And that's great and all. However, you want a wife, a home, a family. I just don't think that that makes a lot of sense. And one could argue, why does anybody have to give up their dream or what they want to do to for anybody else? But let's look at it logistically, okay? You're in your 30s, you want to be a dad and But you're gonna you're gonna have a kid and then be gone for a long period of time while your family is back at home. And also, let's be realistic, you know, he sure he paints a really beautiful picture. Just come with me. Come with me. Who wouldn't want to be in Italy for a month in the summer? I mean, yeah, I get it. Cause hello, I did that. I did that for my honeymoon pretty much almost a month, it felt like. and I would love to stay on a yacht, but when you start a family, that can't really be feasible. Like that's not a thing, you know? That just doesn't make any sort of sense. You want to still have like this fun lifestyle, but then also have a family back at home. And she's the one that's gonna have to change everything. and I mean, same, you know, roles were reversed, sh like Not again, not saying that you can't live out your dreams. one argued with Whitney and Connor and her going from Secret Lives and Mormon Wives or her doing all these crazy things. It's like, my God, she's leaving Connor with the kids. I feel like that's different because they've already established a relationship, a marriage. They've already had these kids and she's now pursuing all these fun things. Also, not to mention, they are going with her. It's fine. He's gonna be out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. And It's just, I don't know. So I just don't understand how you think that that would be amazing for a marriage just starting and to then potentially have kids. You're gonna miss out on so many things. And I just don't think that's very fair. And I feel that it's really starting to hit Erica as they move in together and they're trying to navigate their lifestyles. You know, she expresses that I hope. That he would see, how great it is to be, you know, in the home and have start a family and he would want to be home. I hope that he recognizes that. And also when they're mingling with all the friends and stuff, she does express that, you know, she's thought about it and she's says that it's concerning that he's on this yacht. And, you know, the types of people that get yachts. Either you're super rich, whatever, you're young, hot, all that, you know, being around. Women in bikinis, Every situation's different. But he has talked about that. How there's gonna be people on there that there are a little bit crazy. You had girls coming and trying to like knock on his door, trying to get into his room, things like that. In the past, of course, he just was telling her these stories. So rightfully so she's going to be concerned. you're gonna be in the middle of the ocean on a boat, the time difference will be crazy. And I'm just supposed to be like, okay, great, good night. Hope you have a great day at work. No. No. I just I don't know. I really like them and I want them to work because I do think that they really could mesh well together. But he would really truly have to come to terms with the fact that that career choice will not be able to be manageable and also create a family, you know, even a marriage. I just don't even see a really I mean, obviously, he's on the show. He's trying to find somebody. And you know, arguably I would think there are just some professions, unless you have very strict boundaries or I mean terms and conditions, however you wanna paint the picture for it. But there are just some some professions that traditional marriages, families, whatever aren't doable. It doesn't work. It's not going to work. and I just I don't really know because then this means that she's going to basically have to ask him to change what he does. And what do you do after being a yacht captain? I mean, one, he loves it, but two, what's the what's the pivot of that? You know, do you just start going to corporate offices? I just I I don't know. I don't know. But I have I have hopes. I want it to work for them because they really do seem they are compatible. And this is a great example of you could be really compatible with somebody, but it just it just doesn't work out. And I don't know. I think that if he decided not to change professions and try to figure out something else, that it would be something that he would regret if he fumbled her. You know what I mean? I'm curious what your your guys' thoughts are. Can you can you keep this type of career and create a family? Have a family, a happy one at that. You know what I mean? One where she's gonna be so excited for you to come home and not be so annoyed because She's having to run everything by herself, and you're basically getting to party. it's not like he's going off to war. He's in a yacht and having a great time in beautiful countries in the ocean. So we'll see. Okay. William Wilson, this whole second choice problem will not die. And honestly, I gotta say, I think that Wilney, she shouldn't have never told Wilson that Melane left the pods. Okay. I think she did herself a disservice. She should have just let Wilson figure it out on his own because I think her knowing that he had that connection with her and Melane. And then as soon as Melane left and she ran and told Wilson, you know, she was the one giving him the knowledge, okay, it's pretty much just me, or you know, you're not gonna get proposed. Like you're Probably not proposing to anybody. I just don't think she should have done that. She did herself a disservice because she maybe unintentionally put it in her head that, well, now I'm a default choice. She wouldn't have necessarily known that if she wasn't the one to tell him directly. Because yes, okay, you know, we could paint the picture. Melane leaves, but. She doesn't necessarily have to know that Wilson figured that out and then decided to propose to her. In her mind, she could have been the first, you know what I'm saying? It's like, I'm gonna tell you this information. The other girl that you had a connection with left. It's like, okay. Will you marry me? Of course, that's gonna be in your head that, I was second choice. And that's gonna bother you. Then that's gonna bother you. But here's the thing. once he does the proposal, you say yes, you guys meet, things are great. Maybe you can have another conversation about it. Maybe just to reassure yourself, sure. But once you talk about it and accept it, and you're saying, okay, yeah, I want to marry you, I love you, yada yada, you have to let that go. You have to let it go that you potentially were second choice. You Actually, can't confirm or deny that because Millane left, but you were the one that told him. So you told yourself basically, okay, he only has me as an option. but he just seems like he's getting annoyed by her. And I totally understand. Like I would be so annoyed, constantly getting nagged at. did you really want to pay? Like, I just I just know with your other connection. Like I'm here, aren't I? I'm here. I don't have to be. I don't have to be. But she just seems like she needs a lot of reassurance. And that's annoying after a while. Like at some point, you have to be confident enough in the relationship that you're good. You know, if you feel that way, that much about yourself or the relationship, you need to look inward. You need to figure that out yourself because some like that's gonna just get very tiring. It's one thing, you know, the person's like, ooh, I just words of affirmation, touchy, whatever. They re are are reassuring you on their own. But then when it feels like a chore that they are needing to reassure you because you are asking for it, then it almost doesn't feel authentic. So of course it feels like you're bugging them or they're just saying whatever because they're just trying to appease you, even if they feel it. Does that make sense? so I don't know. I mean Definitely ver fair and valid to question the proposal when you find out that who you're engaged to now had another connection in the pod and maybe considering proposing to them. I do think that is a valid question. That is very fair concern for sure. But like I said, once you have that conversation, it can't be something that you continuously bring up and make it a problem because that is frustrating, that is annoying. That is an insecurity that you need to figure out. And you're just basing this relationship off the hope that you were gonna be the one that he was going to pick. I don't know. It just doesn't it doesn't seem there's a lot of security there. And I just think it's self sabotage because you're just creating issues for no reason. For no reason, really. But you have to believe them or you don't. I don't know. All right, Rob and Michaela. Okay. So it's funny because to me, these two seem the most normal. And because they seem the most normal, I'm waiting for the crash out. I'm waiting for the downfall. I'm waiting for the eruption. You know, is that pessimistic of me or is it realistic? I don't know. But I looked at my husband and I was like, Michaela seems really cool and chill and just a well-rounded person. I'm waiting for the catch. I'm waiting for it because I feel that always happens. There always is somebody that they just seem the most, wow, they're normal. How'd they show up here? And something happens. But as of right now, I don't have anything to harp on to criticize with their relationship. I really enjoy these two together. their conversations, the way they interact with each other, it seems completely normal and natural. You know, it doesn't seem uncomfortable to where they're trying to figure it out and still test the water. it's still foreign. It's like I have all these strong feelings for this person, but the whole physical part being around them, holding hands, giving them a hug, that's still new. So it's still that part is unnatural, could be. But to me, for them, it seems that they have a really strong connection. They have fun conversations. I don't know. I'm I'm really, I don't see any cracks as of right now. So that makes me suspicious because there could very well be. I mean, did you guys see the previews for the next episodes that are gonna be dropping? When they bring in the other people that weren't proposed to, that's always when things kind of hit the fan. That could be the downfall. That could be the downfall. But as of right now. they're not really providing much chaos. They seem very normal into each other. And I'm excited to see how that goes. If I had to on the Kalashi app, is that how you say it? Kalashi? That betting app, whatever that little thing is, if I had to place my money on one of these couples getting married at the altar and something worthy coming of it, it would be on these two. It would be on these two. I just I don't I don't know. but anyway, so going back on that, I'm just gonna wrap up this whole love is blind portion with my wedding day predictions. There's not a lot of hope. I gotta be so for real. There is not a lot of hope for these people. Rob and Michaela, they are the strongest for me on walking down the aisle and saying I do on both ends. Wilney and Wilson, they could, I could see them getting there. I just need Wilnie to kind of chill for a little bit. Okay. I need actually, she needs to just chill. She needs to stop talking about Melane and move on and move forward and work on their relationship together because otherwise. Dude's gonna be like, I gotta go. I gotta go. But I have I could see it. Okay. It could happen. John and Sarah. I could see him saying yes and her saying no. That's what I see. Cause aside from his anger that she's brought up, they do well otherwise. They giggle, they seem like they have a good time. But I get I get more friend vibes. It's like, I have a good time with you, but romantically, fundamentally, we just don't work. So, and I don't know if he's just trying to quickly Find somebody to marry. I know he's, he's t said that he doesn't want to be a victim or have a pity party because he was diagnosed with MS. But, I feel like it could be when you get something of that nature, type of news, you want to in like up the speed of your life, move forward a little bit faster. So it could be something where he is, okay, this girl's cute. We have a good time together. Perfect. Where he's not looking at all all of the layers, killing back the onion. You know what I mean? And I think she is starting to see, I don't know long term, all these things that are kind of alarming for me will be able to have longevity. Eric and Blake. There's a lot of chemistry, but not compatible lives. I I don't think I don't think they'll get engaged. I don't know. Aneha and Cam. No. No. Call the Uber. Go home. Go home. Even if making it to the altar, I don't even see that part. I really, I truly don't. I would even be shocked if it gets to the episode, honestly, and it's the most boring part of the whole show, when they all go dress shopping and tuck shopping, whatever. I wouldn't be shocked if that would be the moment that Cam decided I'm just gonna bow out and there's no even altar happening. I don't know, maybe, or he doesn't show up to wedding day. I don't know. I would love some sort of chaos like that. Not that I would want that on anybody, but there's just like something because you can just see it all over his face that he I don't know if he's had a good time yet with her, which is crazy. You know what I mean? He just looks like he's suffering and he's just trying to power through. I just don't know how he's gonna get through all of these other steps when he already has such negative vibes on the marriage in general. Not even necessarily hers, like person, personality, their chemistry, but just relationship w like with the family. And she's just really making it a point to say, my family's not gonna like it. I yeah. and then Jackson Stew. We don't really count them, obviously. They're not going to the altar, but just thank you for your service for the time on the show. Thank you for the small entertainment that we got with whatever the heck that was. Just a very bizarre interaction. I don't know. I'll be curious to see if they have a friendship after this, if they were able to reconcile in that regard, like pass the whole meetup at the restaurant that they did that was super odd and bizarre. I'm hoping that we can get. More insight on what that conversation actually looked like because it was very, very watered down. I just don't, I just have the gut feeling we didn't get everything. We didn't get everything. And why we didn't, I don't know. But the conversation just didn't make sense to me. They're rekindling, didn't make sense to me. So I don't know. I don't know. So we'll see. We'll see what happens. more episodes drop. And actually, by the time you're seeing this episode. more episodes will have dropped. I'm recording this before the additional episodes come out. So we'll we'll be having more to discuss later at a later date. But I'm very excited to see. My favorite, my favorite part is when the other people that didn't get engaged show up and there's all that interaction. That is my favorite part. So be on to be in tune for that for sure. Okay. This is a new segment. This isn't gonna be an every episode thing, but I just was like, okay, I wanna have some fun. You know, we kind of had like a light pop culture reality TV week, and I was like, okay, I wanna ask, I wanna have some people ask me some questions. And so we're gonna call it the drama drop box. I put a little question box on Instagram. So if you don't follow on Instagram, be sure to do so. So if there's any in the future. That I do, you'll be able to ask questions or just submit hot takes, opinions that you want my thoughts on or whatever. it's at the dot drama dot drop. So be sure to follow on Insta. But like I said, I put a question box on there. So said ask me anything, tell me some like hot topics, opinions, whatever. And I picked a couple that I thought were fun to answer. So we'll go ahead and get started on that. Okay. So one of them, it was a hot take. Social media has ruined reality TV. I wholeheartedly agree with this a hundred percent. Because back in the day, you know, when we were growing up and we were watching all of our trash reality TV. I even talk about this when I talk about Big Brother, you know, up into a certain point, the seasons, there was just so much more mess because people were not worried about their career post reality TV. Post the show or even outside the show, they're thinking about all the brand deals that they're going to get. Just any opportunity that comes with the territory on being real on being on reality TV is through social media. We can't deny that. But because of that, I feel people really hold back what they want to, what they want to share, their opinions, their thoughts, because everybody is so on board with. Trashing people if they have a different opinion or a different take than them. And people want to cancel people so fast for everything. So with that being said, yes, I definitely think social media has completely ruined reality TV. Thankfully, we have some great people in reality TV that just truly don't care. They are so unhinged, they could care less and they're gonna be them 10 toes down, which I respect and I appreciate. But When you think of shows and they just know what comes after the following and all of that online perception that leads to other opportunities, I feel that it really waters down what they would have done, said, whatever, because they're worried about that whole thing. So I definitely completely agree with this take. And it's really a shame. Cause I mean, reality shows like prior to when. Social media really blew up and took off. That was peak time. That was peak time. And I miss it. I miss it. I tell you guys all the time about Big Brother. And I c I don't even know like what season, but you have old school big brother and new school big brother. And the old school big brother was considered amazing and iconic because reality or sorry, social media wasn't a thing then. No one was clipping parts of the show and Everybody was able to put all their two cents in and overanalyze s everything and then that hinder them from doing anything outside of the show afterward. I don't know. It's just a whole thing. But yeah, so I completely agree. if you could interview one reality star and they had to answer every question truthfully, who are you picking? Taylor Frankie Paul. Because that girl, love her to death. Okay. She just And she's one of those people that she stands ten toes down on her responses to things, reactions to things, her feelings. She's gonna tell you how she feels, what she thinks. She's not gonna hold back. She's not gonna sugar sugarcoat it for you just because of other people's perceptions, potential opportunities, brand deals, things like that. Like she stays true to herself. So she feels like a mess. She's going to let you know. If she feels unhinged, if she's having a crash out, if she's feeling amazing, if she's doing great, she I feel stays true to who she is and she doesn't mold herself into what people want her to be. and I know she's been through a lot. There's a lot of chaos that has happened in her life. And if I could get a long interview where she could just answer all these questions. And I knew she I know she probably would. That's the thing too. Not even have to be like, okay, you have to answer these questions correctly or er and honestly. But I think she would do that with even out that disclaimer. You know what mean? So, Taylor Frankie Paul, for sure. do you think people take reality TV way too seriously now? I mean, isn't it obvious? Yes. Yes. Reality TV used to be something fun and enjoyable. That, sure we could all collectively hate somebody or collectively love somebody, but now everybody just always needs everybody on a morale compass or not morale, sorry, moral compass to boost morale. I don't know. but it just it's not as fun when people are like, they need to take accountability, they need to do this, they need to say this, they need to apologize, they need to address this. Matter of fact, I also like deep dived their Twitter account and saw what they talked about 20 years ago. And now they need to address the it's annoying. It's so annoying. And it makes watching reality TV so not fun. On top of that, the reality TV fans, fandom, is insane. It's insane. Trust me, I have my reality TV faves. There's also people that I don't like. But you will never catch me in an inbox or a comment section completely trashing an individual or harassing them or saying the most heinous things that you could possibly think of, which arguably makes you way worse than whatever villainizing characteristic that you want to put on those types of people. Do you know what I mean? But yeah, I think people definitely take reality TV way too seriously. And I think they also forget that reality TV is supposed to be entertaining. So If you watch it in the mindset or you're taking everything for extreme face value and not comprehending the fact that editing is involved or I yeah, I mean editing is involved. So producers, editors, whatever, they can create a certain narrative. Conversations can be clipped and chopped and whatever. If you don't have that mindset too, then you've completely lost the plot. And and yeah, I'm sure it makes reality TV a whole lot less fun. I don't know, but I love drama. I love mess. I love chaos, but I also understand that, these people, they're willing to put their mess and lives out in the open for us to be entertained. Who am I to go and absolutely complete unless it's unless it's completely a hundred percent warranted, obviously, as goes for anything else, there are definite situations where it's there needs to be Something needs to be addressed for sure. But when you're just talking about petty drama or somebody cheated on somebody or so and so got divorced because it we just collectively seem to take it way too far. So and this goes hand in hand. Well, honestly, the next couple of go hand in hand, but one of them was do you think we need villains on reality TV? And I absolutely think we do, because otherwise, what's the point? What's the point of reality TV if you don't have a villain? I'm sorry. Think of any other show, a drama, a sitcom, even. You know, there's always some sort of villain. Even if it's not necessarily a villain and a sitcom, there's always that annoying person. I mean, think of friends. You have Janice, you know? She's not necessarily a villain, but she's just like, God, here she is. You have to on reality TV. I'm sorry. I don't understand. So it's so frustrating to me when people try to get people off reality shows because they're mean. Okay. It's just boring. I'm like, what are we talking about? What are we talking about? Also, I can't even remember the name of it. Ding it out. I'll be prepared for the next week's episode. But there is a new show coming out. It's about Texas. There's a small town in Texas. I think it's called Bourney. I think it's called Bourney. But it's giving a little bit of secret lives vibes. But it's a small town in Texas, these women, whatever, in their marriages, and there's all these drama and kind of like some scandals going on within the friend group. And I saw so many people in the comments like, we're not all like this. How about we highlight traditional family or families and but I'm sorry, no one is going to want to watch that. Have we not got that by now? Have we not put that together in our head? No one is going to sit and want to watch. Let me tune in every Wednesday. And okay, cool. Billy has soccer practice and Mary has to take Billy and then she's gonna come home and she's gonna cook for taco Tuesday night. What what? No. So let's think about that. Or Just acknowledge reality TV isn't for you. Okay. How about we acknowledge that? If you can't handle villains on your screen for reality TV, reality TV is not your genre. Okay. You need to find something else. thoughts on cancel culture. Okay, kind of goes hand in hand. I think at this point it's overdone. Everybody wants to cancel everybody for everything, and I'm just sick of it, to be completely honest. And also, does cancel culture even work? Maybe for a little bit. Maybe for a small moment of time. If it again, you know, there's an exception to every rule. If it's warranted, for sure. Absolutely. 100%. However, it just never sticks. I mean, here's a great example. Roseanne Barr. She's got a show. She's back. They canceled her on her own show, Roseanne. Okay. That was Over 10 years ago, I want to say it was a long time ago. Now she's on another show. So let's stop doing this whole cancel culture thing. It's not up to you, if however people want to handle their companies, whatever, sure. But we need to just kind of stop, you know, and ever and what really irritates me, like I said, when people go digging for something to be upset about, they're looking through the internet, going in the archives of their Twitter account. Facebook, TikTok reposts to have an issue and then just make a big fuss about it. And like I said, it never sticks. There may be a moment in time where they don't really do much. They're not working or really putting themselves out there, but somehow they come back around one way or another. Stassi's another great example. She got canceled. she got fired from Vanderpump. She lost a lot of brand deals. Now she's back. She has her own show on Hulu. She was hosting reunions. So let's just stop. Let's just stop canceling things. Okay. who is your favorite reality TV villain of all time? Can you guys guess? Do you do you think you know? All right, I'll give you like five seconds to comment. What you think? All right, I'll tell you. Abby Lee Miller. Okay. I probably a hot take. I'll probably get canceled for it before I'm cancelable. I love Abby Lee Miller. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Dance Moms is one of my favorite reality TV shows. And here's the thing. I mean, she's a dance, she was a dance teacher, right? Okay. I think, yeah, she's still like a dance. She's still in that realm. Okay. She didn't like just lose that credibility. and How many of people that were in sports, anything competitive, your coaches were so hard on you, especially if you're doing it very competitively. So you know, people watch the show now, because I remember when it was airing, it was not a thing. It was not a thing of her the way she reacted to these children, whatever, young girls, and and how she taught, whatever. Then there was a moment in time where everyone's like, my gosh, look at how terrible she treated them. the girls they grew up, then they wanted to say their piece, what they went through, all that. but anyways, all that aside, on TV, arguably, like she gave so much, so much. And, you know, she was such a mix like of emotions for me because she it's crazy because. She was a really tough dance teacher. she didn't put up with a lot of crap. But at the same time, she would have moments where it was motherly and she was like, I really care about you girls. she would be soft with them and whatever. She'd have issues with the moms. But it was just such a roller coaster of emotions. But in the same time, too, I thought she was hilarious. I've I truly thought she was funny. Like you can't look back and watch some of those clips. And even though some of the stuff she was completely outrageous, or just her rants and her fits and all that stuff, hilarious. And there's so many memes we all use of her still to this day. I don't know. She to me is reality TV gold. I thought she is a really great reality TV villain. probably very misunderstood, you know? And Yeah, I don't know. I she's actually my favorite reality TV villain. I was really having to think deep into all of reality TV because I've consumed a lot. And sometimes people would argue maybe reality TV villains are, you know, perception, like how you perceive them to be. but yeah, I I think she's she's my favorite. I think she's hilarious. I think she's created a lot of iconic moments and quotes. And but at the same time. she was a teacher. She created a lot of talent for people and gave them a lot of opportunity for them to advance their career. So I don't know. Yeah. Okay. this is the last one. Then we'll get into Sheik and Week of the Week. Do you ever get worried to talk about certain people on the pod? Well, there was two. It was that one, and then I kind of combined it. It was have you ever been confronted by someone that you've talked about on the pod? So I actually have. I have actually. Mm-hmm. I have been confronted. Haley from the ultimatum. Okay. Her and I, we had a conversation. And this was after I had my interview with her ex Blake from the show after that dropped. Her and I had a conversation. And yeah, I mean, it was a good conversation. But definitely, and I think about it all the time. I do get worried sometimes, but you know. That's showbiz, baby. That's showbiz, baby. I if I want, you know, I look at it at a lens of when I listen to podcasts, I want to hear their unfiltered takes. I want their opinions. I don't want them to hold back. So I need to do the same. And sometimes it can be uncomfortable to potentially have that person hear what you have to say, listen to an interview and where it could be about them, whatever the case may be. But like I said, that show biz baby and it's entertainment and relay at the end of the day. My inbox is an open forum. So if I ever say anything about anybody on the podcast, I welcome them to come to my inbox and tell me their thoughts and have a conversation. And absolutely like as long as it's respectful for sure. And I did give her the opportunity. I said, hey, if you want to come on and we can even talk about if there's anything that you want to address and clear up from that conversation that I had with Blake, absolutely. I'm so open to that and I want to hear it. obviously that didn't happen, but yeah, so I have been confronted by somebody that I have talked about on the podcast, and that's just the nature of the biz, baby. And yeah. And Can I argue that's honestly kind of flattering when you hear feedback or, you know, to know somebody that you're talking about on your podcast is listening. I that's how I handle that, you know. I think it's it's fun, it's exciting. again, I don't ever want to bash anybody, don't wanna but I'm gonna say my thoughts, I'm gonna say my opinions. And if it reaches them, it reaches them. And if they wanna say something, they totally can. Like I said, my inbox is open. For any and all dialogue. So especially too if you want to have it on the podcast, we can do that too. All right. All right, everybody. Chic and week of the week. So my chic. And honestly, my answer still would have been the same for the villain thing, regardless of the chic. Okay. But Abby Lee Miller, okay. I gotta give it to her. She's got a new show. If you haven't watched it, it's called Abby versus Kathy. Hit the eight. If you guys didn't watch Dance Moms, we one, you should. But two, I hope everybody knows her rival, her frenemy, Kathy. Okay. From the Candy Apples. Anyways, they're on the show together. I'm so excited to like it's it's just it's so exciting. So that my sheet goes out to them because those two together, especially some of my favorite moments from dance moms, is those two interacting. They both are reality TV gold. And so my sheet goes out to them and you need to go watch the show. Abby versus Kathy hit the eight and let me know what you think. But I love them. I love them. And my week is to whatever loser broke into Ariana Maddox's home and stole from her. She said the back door glass door, whatever was like shattered. She had jewelry missing, other belongings missing. That's insane. That's insane, especially just because, it's crazier too when celebrities get their house broken into because to me, they would have the most top notch security ever. They have the means to, and they definitely should. So that's really scary. but I'm glad, you know, she wasn't harmed, of course. I any animals were har I'm glad none of that was the case, but regardless, that's just such an invasive feeling. And you're not gonna feel safe in your home. And of course you get things stolen from you. So that's heartbreaking. So that's my week of the week. I just think that's very sad and it's very unfortunate. And obviously, I don't know, she's gonna have to figure that out. I don't know if that just automatically equates to moving in general, up a upping security. And then also on top of that, figuring out who did it when you don't know, is it somebody did they even know it was her home? Are they a stalker? Have they been lurking around? Was it just completely random? You know, there's just so many questions that go into that. And it makes just living really uneasy in your home where you're supposed to feel very safe. So I feel for her on that. I'll be curious as that story develops. I'm sure we'll learn more, but that is my week of the week. for listening to the drama drop. Subscribe wherever you listen to your podcast. Be sure to follow on all socials at the dot drama dot drop. And I'll see you guys in the next one because somebody has to talk about it. Love you guys.
