- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: but six, seven, eight, summer, a little summer GTC with our besties and a little bit of spirit fingers.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: That was the rain that is bound to come.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, here we go.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, everyone.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the more to consider with Terran Haley.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Terran.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is Haley.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Haley.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Terran.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's our first Gilmour to consider video episode.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: We've never done a Gilmour to consider on video.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's definitely fun to do a little reaction to the voice man.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: Because people don't get to see how we react in real time.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, obviously we listen.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: We listen and we don't judge, but it's a little bit, but maybe sometimes we judge a little bit, but it's it's very fun to listen and have some reactions sometimes and so you get to kind of, yeah, I don't have a little visual to that.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's so much time I just got back from your
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: House, Haley's house, some Haley's house.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: We did great time.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was a lot of fun.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: We had a lot of fun.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we got a lot of fun.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: We got a lot of fun.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: We got so much done.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: My mom asked if we were productive.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of was like, where are we?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: And then I counted how many episodes we did for our new version of Patreon.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, whoa, I said, yeah, my mom got a lot done.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: We did.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I said the same thing.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, we didn't get as much done as I think I would have liked to.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: We recorded eight episodes.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: And my mom was like, what?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, we recorded eight episodes.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: We did a live.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: We did an intro to another episode.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: And she was just like, that's a lie.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yeah, we could have done more.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: Just like never enough, right?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I am very excited for today's Gilmore to consider.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's a general summer GTC, but it does have a bit of a theme.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I always love to pick voicemails that kind of fall in line with one another.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: And the theme, the theme is June third, because a lot of people called in a large in third episode to talk about what they thought or ways that they could contribute to the story.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm really excited to share those.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I just, it's been a minute since we've done a Gilmore to consider episode.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I just love our listeners so much.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm reminded of it.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: often but specifically every time I go into the voicemails you guys leave the most wonderful messages for us and I just want you to know that we have not heard all of them because just there are a bunch and actually on her VTO life someone asked us how many voicemails we have and I was like oh very many
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, it was such a joy to listen to them.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: And even if we don't play them, chances are we've heard them.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so, yeah, yeah.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, it's a beautiful little reminder every time I open this little Google voice.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, good voice.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: I want to do more of this fall just because I love hearing how this voice is.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: I know what to ask.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love hearing perspectives or contributions to the conversation opinions.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, yeah.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: And your personal experience with the show is so important and that's what makes our show.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So special.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it was really, it was really cool to revisit that.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I know I said that almost every time we do, it can more to consider like, I love you guys.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: But they do.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's true.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hands.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, truly.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: So like I said, today's episode is very June third themed.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: We did a June third episode.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we were initially going to do this GTC.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think in June, but we ended up kind of pushing back because I got the flu after I got engaged with them.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: We did the engagement episode.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: No, you got engaged both.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: Both happen at the same time.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, I got the flu.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know the flu and doing the ATX episode just felt like such a gargantuan task that I was like, I can't do it.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: But it was perfect because we wanted to do a little engagement episode anyway.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: So it kind of pushed our schedule back with the GTC, but that's great because it gives more time and space for voicemails to come in because sometimes that episode airs and we don't get the
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: The voicemails in time for the recording, so this was perfect.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I wanted to come back around to this because we did our episode the new and improved June third.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And we did a bit of fan fiction around the idea of Laura Lye and Luke getting married.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I talked really quite because Brotsome for Mark today.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I almost feel like I need a whisper.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: And he married a lot of things with third on June third.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's a later I get married.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: Can I tell you?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: They did not really like.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: They maybe did not.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but my grandma um she loves watching our um videos on YouTube.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: Hi grandma.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: Hi.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Hi.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Hi grandma.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe she sees this right now.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: She um she didn't know what's going on, but she said she enjoyed it.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: love that for her.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: My hands for Grandma me.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I have two voice mails today that I want to play for you.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm just very excited to hear your opinions.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: I also don't know how I feel about at least one of them just yet.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: I actually both of them, but I'm trying to figure out which one I want to.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, you know what?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how I feel.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: Period.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to figure out which one I want to play for you first.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: Mmm.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Pick a card, pick a card.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Dealers choice.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think I know which order I wanted to do this end.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: So we're gonna start with a voicemail from our bestie Emma about June third.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: And a little bit of a change up in what we proposed, no pun intended, in the new and improved June third.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: So let's hear from our bestie Emma.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, that's Ease.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Emma Longtime, who is there.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Huge Gomark Girl Sam.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Listening to your rewriting, tunes, third, podcast right now.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just having an idea, and I really think that this is how we solve a lot of the problems.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same ending, except it's the same ending for Rory as what Laurel I has at the end of season six.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: The wedding is five.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: She and Luke get married.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: We got a big
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: stars hello wedding that we all want and we all love and we all need but at the wedding she and Logan break up and Rory ends up in bed with Jess and it's the culmination of their relationship is what we've all been wanting them to do since season two is the same shock factor of more like going back to Chris but instead
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's the younger generation.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Rory is now making her choice as making her mistakes.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: While Laura Lai moves into a solid place of happiness, enjoy with Luke.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then season seven can be navigating what's going on with Rory.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: She's recently single.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Our student just together now, really.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: She's going to her senior year.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: meeting maybe they bring that back to do some stuff as Logan we see him often on and there's a bunch of attention that arises in that we have to see Jess go through the ideas of like did she get with me because she actually really likes me or was this just a convenience thing was it because we have history and she knew I could save like there could be so much
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: drama happening there, and then when you're back, Dan starts all low for season seven, there's drama there can be stuff with the, with the in there could be issues with, you know, they could continue the same story line of Luke trying to get personal custody, like, they're still drama that could happen, but we could see Luke and Laura live in a strong team who have each other's back and like,
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: has their own little dramas, but it's not so much tied up in their will they won't say, it's tied up in external factors.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that would really have culminated well.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then Michelle, in season seven, could have ended with what Amy wanted if we're going back and forth like between Jackson and Logan.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: And it should have ended with her being
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: pregnant at graduation, she graduates, she doesn't have the big proposal.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is still am I got cut off.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: The graduation ends with Rory and the world-life sitting and talking about what's next and Rory tell for Lyon Pregnant.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's that whole part of it.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that would have been a much better culmination to the whole thing.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: We knew that Logan was an end game.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think we all kind of think chances of end game, especially with the look back in the revival.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, truly I think that was a better story.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: watching more life-on things up of Chris again because we all know Chris is never going to be the man that Laura Lini is going to be because he's too much a part of Emily's world.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: Does her my thoughts?
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would have done.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Love you guys a lot and listen to the podcast all the time you guys have given me an infound love for the show.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: So appreciate you very much staying hope you're doing really really well.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: Emma, thanks a lot.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate you very much, and hope you're doing really, really well.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love this.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: And when you're a jaw falcon, she said she ended up with, or she ends up in bed with Jess, that was me listening to this for the first time.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: My jaw fell to the ground.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well Emma, what was really fantastic about because this was obviously two parts because she had a lot of thoughts and I'm so glad she did.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: But the first portion of the voice model didn't have a transcript so I couldn't read ahead of what she was saying.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was like living in the moment.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: That was a last thing I expected to happen.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I was, uh, it's very clear that Emma is team guess and I love that for her because she was talking about like, this is what we all wanted and I'm like, what's it what we all wanted?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I was really excited for you to listen as voice mail was because I was like, I don't know how Haley's gonna feel about this.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: My teenage heart was like, yeah.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, little Tara under her.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she was like, yeah, I was like, yeah, of course this is what we wanted Emma.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, but when she invoked the look through the window, I was like, okay, okay.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, by can I say, can I say, can I say, can I say, you know, you can say whatever you want more to say.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's actually what we're here.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I can talk about these thoughts.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Is that, well,
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: I am Team Logan.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: I love this man, CEO of Team Logan.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: I might like, in the last couple of weeks, have to step down as a CEO because I've not been feeling this man.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so maybe that's why I feel really drawn towards this idea of them breaking up.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: Because season seven is their relationship isn't particularly interesting, but I kind of love this idea.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's something about this that is like, is moving the show in such a way that I really appreciate it.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that what Emma said about Lorelie and Luke spending season seven really having each other's backs is what we're really missing is like a rooting in a relationship because like Luke and Lorelie are on the rocks and season seven.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: We don't really care about where we and Logan are doing because they're like, just happy and
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: We do not care about Rian Logan in season seven, like not now.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's not really watching it.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: I care about Rory.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but not their relationship.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: Totally.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so like I think to have like a full season where they're like actually together supportive in the way that they were in the early season.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: But like, they have their own little drama separately and it's not necessarily together.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: But I do imagine the drama that would come between the two of them with whatever the fuck is going on with Jess and Lori.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: It would be very reminiscent of season two.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: But this time they're together and like it's not like they're not going to yell at each other in the street.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of TV tonight.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know how much I love that.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: But wow.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I love that Emma like really thought about this.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: She really took us on the journey.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what I have to say is that she brings up this idea of the, you know, what we saw play out with the June third of it all and partings and everything that we get at the end of season six, which is so spicy and
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: shifting it to the younger generation.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Lori is now the one making mistakes, but here is my only gripe with the storyline is that we've already seen it.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: We got Lori in bed what someone who she shouldn't, maybe not that she shouldn't have been in bed with because we just, it's like I'm so fine with that.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I'd like to root for that.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: What if that had happened in four?
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because the problem is that she is cheating.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: She's sleeping with a married man, correct?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if she's now sleeping with a man and no one's in a relationship.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but here's the thing is that, you know, is that how we feel about Laura Landchrist at the end of season?
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're cheating.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so either, but I know a lot of the fandom kind of does.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: They feel like she, I agree to you.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: But that's where a lot of the decision, but I don't think so.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's just where a lot of the conflict comes into play.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like worries now the one, you know, making decisions and moralize the one moving into a stable
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: consistent relationship, but that is what we get at the end of season four into season five.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: Vory is the one making mistakes and Laura likes us and know what to do with it.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Laura is moving into a healthy relationship with Luke.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so what that just kind of be more of the same because then we also in season six get Luke and Laura like trying to navigate how to deal with what's going on with Brory because she's making even more mistakes.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: So with the audience, be even more exhausted by Brory.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: If she then made another kind of move like that or plot twist like that at the end of season six.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, can I be honest, I think that this might be like, you know, Roy making a mistake.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: But like, at the end of the day, Roy is not really making a mistake.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, broke up and then she's up with someone else.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: But I think in that vein of like, Roy making these mistakes, tripping up, trying to figure out what she's doing and like, Laura like kind of being on the outskirts of that, trying to figure out like early season six, what to do with her.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think because so much of the audience loves Jess Mariano that she'd be like, she's finally on the right path.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Is this where she goes?
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: She's cleaning up her act.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that it might like maybe push towards the other direction.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: It would just all be about how it gets handled.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: I did like the Emma Thurin for me.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Ah, Matt could come back for some scenes.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for Hayles and Hayles and Emma.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you were understanding me and my need for that.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think it would entirely depend on how it was approached.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: But I just think that so many people love, uh, why did you drop out of Yale?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: Love that guiding factor.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: I actually really love the idea of, uh, just trying to figure out his place and all of that.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: If like she really does have an affection towards him or if in the same way with Chris, she just wanted someone familiar when she was feeling sad.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing is this is this a repeat offense in the same way that it's like history repeating itself or rather if it's not history because it didn't happen if we're doing an alternate timeline.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Is the story going to go the same direction where Roy and Chris fall in or what?
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Roy and Jack.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: He likes a very different story.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: We're just falling to, you know, this romance with each other because she and Logan are going to work out.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, implying that like maybe by the end of the season, she'd be gone for that.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: Because then immediately something that Emma didn't answer, because I was like scribbling a little note, some a note book while she was talking, was who's the father?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: I know, baby.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe it's left open ended even though we know who the father is.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we know who the father is in the year in life.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: But some people try to say that they don't.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, guys, come on.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: I used like alternating caps in a real that we did about it recently.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like who I loved it.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: It was a it was a post.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, what about the wookie?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: And like I get in notifications about that because I posted it to my from my personal account of people being like, no, it doesn't make sense.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: I know I had to apply to somebody on the podcast and be like, I know she's
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: She's being silly.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just being a little jokedster.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I love the past.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, Logan is the father and their rival, but like this is element of like, are we doing a love triangle for season seven?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Is this the summer I turned pretty?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Except just and Logan are brothers.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: That would be a fun twist that they were.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: This is not days of our lives.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I just like the idea though of more of the two of them together because, and maybe it's because we only got a like a little taste of it.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was so good in ballet.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: It goes that we're like, oh, I want to see them again.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you know, I don't know if it would be a lot of this really would be history repeating itself if it would feel like a repeat of season two, three.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: I, I wonder what I'm not talking about.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like, actually, this is, you know, you felt about season six and seven.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: So no, I wonder because as it turns out, it wouldn't be.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: Would it?
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: Because Jess was like, you know, um, what did, what's Taylor call him?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just going to task it, uh, the young huddle the back, the young huddle him in the back.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's not that guy anymore.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: He's not making fake, um, chalk outlines though.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: I still feel like adult Jess would totally do that.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, he like,
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's come into himself in a way that he absolutely wasn't.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, both personally and with Luke, like his relationship with Luke has changed entirely.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he feels so much gratitude towards him.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it would just be like two point out.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, if that was Jess and Roy the early years, this is Jess and Roy the later years.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Jess has changed a lot.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: Roy has changed a lot.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that so much of what we've talked about in season two and three about Jess is he was not a good boyfriend.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he wasn't her boyfriend into, but like, he was not a good boyfriend in season three.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he was like, I kind of would have cried for just as my boyfriend is what I say a lot.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: And like, when Laura like kind of had to push him, he had to do that whole thing of like, uh, now that I've got you, I don't have to do anything else.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: And I wonder if he would take a leaf out of the Luke Dane's playbook and seem grumbly about it, but do it because he likes spend the time with Laura.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: And he's going to do whatever Laura like does.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I'd be really interested to explore what kind of more self-assured Jess calm down Jess.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Jess is in therapy.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they're your open mental health office.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: It starts all the way.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: They'd make making all the way home.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: We can only help.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I would be really interested to see what adult Jess relationship would look like.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: The situation chip would be fun.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Me.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder how to present it.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Jess, I'm very sneak in around stars.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Are you just?
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Don't say that.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: I. That's an attempt.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: I've been attacked.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: I came to my own podcast and got attacked.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not team Jess.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just really not team Logan in season seven right now.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: Right now.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's too confusing and too.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: I wish you remember how long the dude on the outside.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't care what else I say.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: That was a bad line.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: That would be like it.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was a bad line.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm interested how you feel about our next caller's proposal.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because our friend Autumn had a scene that she wanted to add to what we did do in the new group June third.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: So everything stays the same kind of a deleted scene, but something that I think
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: is a bit of the antithesis of what Emma just laid out for us.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: So let's hear from our best team.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, this is Autumn.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I've called him before.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: How are you?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: I love your podcast.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: For the new and improved June third, I just wanted to add a scene to the very end.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: When you said that Luke and Laura lie in Rory and Logan are all eating lobster at the table together, camera pans, just in Chris.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: hiding from outside of the tent and Chris does something, thought provoking, like they just wanted a different life from what they had or like something like that and the audience realizes that just increased our foils this whole time because they are the young love that has undeniable chemistry, but just
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: We'll never be in the same place at the same time.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: Can never work out because the girl, deal more girls, want a different world than the one they grew up in.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: And they will always have those strong feelings.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not them.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: That would make my heart happy.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I wonder what y'all think about that.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, Autumn.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, I'm doing great.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: How are you?
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love that it started out like that.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
- 22:28[SPEAKER_02]: We're good.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing quite well.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: I hope that you were doing well as well.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: I love that both of these voice smells include a wellness check and I quite like that.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I really love this idea.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I love this idea of like Chris and Jess kind of having this.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, consideration, commiseration.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: I, my only, um, qualm with it is I don't know that they would talk.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: the time this is very fan fiction.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't that was one of my first thoughts was like I don't know that we've ever seen the two of them next to each other.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know that he would know enough about just to be like oh yeah they just or if he said something you know not knowing who just was that connected them in a way where he's just spewing out his thoughts just realizing that they are one of the same.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: because yeah, we did bring this idea up earlier this year about Jess and Chris kind of being parallel characters.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we as in which, you know, they shake hands, yeah, even like a father running like water.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's the two of them exactly.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I see a lot of it, even though I do think that the parallels are meant to pair Jess and Luke together and Logan and Chris.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that was the intention for all of them.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: But it is something that has not lost on me that you have two people, young love, undeniable chemistry.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: And what I loved about this voicemail is that it draws attention to the fact that both Gilmore girls, in a sense, I think, lure life more than worry, long for a world that is different than the world they grew up in.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think for a worldwide, it's that she really does not want the wealth and the, you know, high society life.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: Lori, I don't know that she's necessarily opposed to the Star's Hollow Life and gravitating towards the high society life.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think we saw in season six that she's just kind of like, it's more over that she's not opposed to the high society life and that she dreams bigger.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: Or at least she did when she was a high schooler.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I want to go to Harvard.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: I want to like, you know, not necessarily a small town, but like I have big dreams.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think she was ever angry at the small town life.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think in the way the more I was angry at like the high society.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think in a year in the life, it's less about being angry.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's more about like
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: sheepishly in a way coming home and being like, hey, I feel like I failed.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I didn't achieve what I wanted to achieve and now I have to kind of come home and reset and yeah, there can be not always but there can be a
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: a negative feeling associated with that, depending on where you're at in your life and on your mental health journey.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I just thought it was a really interesting perspective to grow into what we already kind of envisioned about to third.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: And putting two characters in the story that I admittedly, it's not that I didn't consider them.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: I did for the drama of it all, but not for the perspective of linking
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: when keen and paralleling the characters together.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I kind of like the idea because like my first thought with this was Dean, season five Dean.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like season five Dean talking to Luke in to live in that diorama when they're helping with the Star's Halloween Museum.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: And basically Dean is like making feel bad about the fact that they're together.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: And like yeah, explaining why they're gonna break up in there because they want more than this.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's when you immediately what I thought about and
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: I like the idea of Chris and Jess having a moment together, but I guess put it into the reality of their relationship.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: I could maybe see Chris having this conversation with someone else and Jess overhearing it and just having his own moment as it relates to them, like just going to look through the window.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: All of the look through the window, like having this
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: experience with it, like maybe it's semely in Chris, or maybe it's Chris drunk talking to anyone about it, or maybe it's just talking to Luke about it.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: And Chris, over here's it.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like something about it that I feel like them being in the same shot, having the same feeling, but not talking about it is maybe a lot more in line with how the show usually goes.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I just like the idea of them being connected in that way.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe with the directly talking to each other.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with that.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: They are watching the ones that got away.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I just find it really fascinating that both Emma and Autumn took the look through the window with Jess at the end of the series of years.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: So perfect.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Did you look at the window?
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: I love it that they were both like, you know, this speaks, this could satisfy that look through the window in one way.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: And this could also connect that look through the window with another character in another way, who aligns with it.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that's so cool.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I love that perspective so much.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Me too.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: Me too.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I just love these two.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Which do you prefer?
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know, I really like where we landed in our episode.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was really fun.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: But we, that was our series finale.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: That was our idea for this series finale.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, do I want another season?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of do.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I kind of like the idea of them having this huge happy wedding.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: But like, we've never had like a season that kind of ends really on top of the world.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would say season three does for the most part.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: There's that little throw in about Luke kind of being a little hungry.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: But for the most part, every other, you know, even Suki's wedding ended with the both of them kind of in this really precarious place.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, I kind of like Emma's idea.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like of Jess and Rory sleeping together and Rory and Logan breaking up.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Tell this to Haley from twenty to twenty two, go where to say.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I know.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: She'd be like, who's that?
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, oh, I'm having my body.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Someone, someone has taken over.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: I've been taken over by AIs.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: And help me.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but no, I love Autumn's idea.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I love her addition to what we already did.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I say I really like Emma.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: They are too very, they lead to very different things.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think that even with the scene thrown in at the end of the deleted scene, additional scene, if you will, from Autumn, we could still wrap the storyline up.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I forgot that we had done it as a series finale, rather than a cliffhanger, whereas Emma's story is more of a cliffhanger.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I don't know which one.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: I love to hear you all think.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's really hard because partings I love so much and so this whole scenario deletes it, but I think that the drama of it with Emma's kind of brings that back for me.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Very interested.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I have to put a pull-up to see if anyone would want or eat a sleep with Jess.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, they're all gonna say, yeah.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm even interested to see if it's most.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we'll have to throw a poll up.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: Head over to Instagram.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to forget because I'm very fascinated to see how many of you would want to read to break up with Logan and see for us.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, wow, I can't wait.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, our voice mail today for June third on in July.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I loved hearing your perspectives on what you thought could, you know, either change things up a little bit about June third enhance our storyline.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was great.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love it autumn.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: I love when an autumn loves Gilmour girls because it's like you're so perfectly suited to this.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know it's so perfect.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: So next week's episode we have been talking about this a lot.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: We're watching season seven on Patreon.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: We are nearing the end and we are going to be watching the series finale, the original series finale.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Bon voyage.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we're gonna be airing it here on Gilmore to say I cannot believe that we've reached the end I can't believe that like we've been reminiscing on twenty twenty two a lot lately between the bachelor at episode which was an absolute who such a riot to listen to just because of what it was but also because like the sound quality is so different in like our
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: our podcast and just like because we had Hannah Brown earlier in the week like what a literally was transition and a fast stop but anyway just thinking about like the twenty twenty two versions of us and I can't believe that we started go more revisited our patreon podcast April of twenty twenty two and we have finally arrived towards the end we're going to do eight weeks covering a year in the life
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm very excited about that, but it's- And then we started a new tier of season seven.

- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've been feeling mixed feelings about season seven.
