- 0:25SPEAKER_00: We'll get to all of that here in a bit.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Let's go ahead and quote the livestock market and where they closed yesterday.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Live cattle were somewhat unchanged.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: The front month of August closed at 226.68 cents, up about 15.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Feeder cattle were down in the front months, up in the back months.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: August was down$2.45 at$3.49.5.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Lean hogs were decently unchanged across the board.

- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Looking at the September contract in beans, they're at$12.17.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: New crop corn is at$4.81.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And September Chicago wheat is at$6.95.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Brought to you by T4 from plus 500.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: On to our weather slides for today.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: We're going to see some relief finally.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And that is great to hear Mr.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Craig Solberg with his 72-hour chart here.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: And yeah, like I said, 70s are going to be the high across the corn belt through Friday, which will be a much needed relief for us to cool off, especially if you've been in kind of some of the smoky area like I've been.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Some cleaner air and cooler temps will be much, much appreciated.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: And Nebraska, northern Missouri, northeast Kansas, then Kansas and southern Iowa are going to see some rains through Thursday and Friday.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Always great to hear.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Well, there's other countries that produce corn outside of us, and Brazil is one of our main competitors there.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Their Sofrena Corn Harvest, which means their second crop corn, had a report come out, and it's sitting at essentially 49.8% as of July 17th.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: That's six points behind last year and seven points behind the five-year average.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: The problem is this is not about a crop condition problem, it's about a weather problem.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: They've seen a ton of rain down there and they've had a hard time drying out the crop, being able to get into fields.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: We need to continue to pay attention to those outside grain markets because they are one of our greatest competitors.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: The Cattle on Feed Report comes out on Friday, and we'll be sure to talk about that.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: I'm sure this afternoon with Mike Sands.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: I know I teased it yesterday that I'm going to be having my Fat Tuesday show with Mike Sands on Tuesday, but this week it's going to happen on Wednesday.

- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I figured I'd pop this up.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: This is a headline from CNBC.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Stock futures slip as oil prices jump.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: And Marco Rubio saying that Iran is not serious about talks.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Brent crude was up 5%.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Stocks are kind of all over the place, mostly down.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Man, it is just a constant, constant wave of emotions that comes back from Iran.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: It's really sad to see that we've lost some service members over there.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And man, that just pushes the escalation even further.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Traders have kind of kept on an eye on oil.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: They fear it could not be good for all markets.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: It would keep consumer prices, consumer goods elevated, which may lead the Federal Reserve to raise rates.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Man, we'll see if this pushes into nights 12 and 13.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: On the economic calendar for today, the NBA mortgage applications already came out this morning at 6 a.m.
