- 1:37[SPEAKER_04]: I'm actually going to beep out that entire segment unless windows pays us, unless Microsoft gives us a check.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_04]: I've got an email out to them to see about a branded opening here.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even go.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, I guess we have a special, just it's going to be so long.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's well, you're gonna love it and we haven't decided what it is yet, but in post, it's it's really gonna take shape.

- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: because we've got, there's so many streaming platforms that have the Netflix as the pump home.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just bringing this up because I want to talk about the game, Q1.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: I will always love the game.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's the best one.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: Blip, blip, blip, blip, blip, blip.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: And it falls into the middle, especially the fart version.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_04]: I can tell you, um, I do love the HBO.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's not a load screen, but I do love that.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: Sort of like the stinger.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, I mean, GameCube is tough to be.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: I think the GameCube one is is not beatable for me.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's so good, like, there are some, like, especially consoles if that era in earlier, it was like, hey, I know you want to play your game.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_04]: What if you watched a 35 second animation first?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's just our logo.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_04]: The one you already know, from the outside of the console, now it's on your TV too.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_04]: Based on you never,
- 3:12[SPEAKER_04]: Never felt like I was ready for it to be done.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_04]: I wasn't like I can't believe they're showing me this again.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: And you could hold the button to go to settings and you could all want to try and enjoy it.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: And based on the electricity that shot through my body at the Game Awards, the Larry and Studios, like Stinger is one that'll get me every single time that Baldur's Gate.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_04]: Well Baldur's Gate changed it to the,
- 3:43[SPEAKER_04]: that even their normal one works for me.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, apparently that one.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: You remember, there used to be like, there used to be like, let me show you a little animation for all the studios that made this.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_04]: Like, PlayStation 1 era was like, me, here's like everybody gets five seconds to shine.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I definitely remember that.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_04]: Just render something.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: Just render something.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's sports.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's a game.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was a problem.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: That's probably still in those games.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: I would bet.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_04]: You think never soft still stabs that eyeball.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: I guess we haven't talked about this until the production company openers.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_04]: The openers.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: There's the one, I don't remember who's production company is, but the one that's the metal guy that shoots the arrow through all of the different shapes.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this goes like a little axis.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, that's a good thing.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: That one's real.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's good.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: Bad robot stands out to me on the one.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good one.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, Fox, 20th Century Fox.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that one's just recorders to me now.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's just a, everything that, yeah, was nostalgic is got a recorder or fart version.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's, yeah.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_04]: And you guys heard that, have you guys heard the recorder fart versions of our podcast?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'll see you in the version of this.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: Look them up on YouTube.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_04]: They're good.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think Microsoft's been watching those, which is why they haven't replied to me.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_04]: Please, probably.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, Microsoft.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_04]: He was... nostalgia.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_04]: Let's talk about 13 years ago.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_04]: Those guys, 2013, frozen was dominating the box office.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_04]: Thor, the dark world, was being dominated by frozen at the box office.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: I bet he likes that too.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: But a very special generation of people were born to speakable me too, came out, and we loved it because of the fun yellow guys in there.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_04]: 13 years ago, like a big hole for me.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: 13 years ago, a special folks were born and those are the folks who, of course, are 13 right now and the top 10s has you want another take at that sentence or do you just want to leave it out is no I think it's good 13 years ago 13 years ago is of course folks there are 13 years ago listen I couldn't be more clear 13 years ago a very special group of folks were born and those are the folks that are 13 now yeah

- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: What should I plan for January?
- 6:24[SPEAKER_04]: So the top 10's has given us a great list.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_04]: The top 10 resolutions for 13 year olds.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_04]: Resolutions for 13 years.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_04]: So I want you guys to travel back into your 13 years old.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's January.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: You're saying, actually, you're probably 12, if you're if you're setting a resolution for your 13th year.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_04]: I'm turning 13 this year.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's it's my year.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_04]: What are your top 10 New Year's resolutions?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_04]: How do you make sure your 13 is the best one yet?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you, my 13th year was in 2001.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I was just hoping we got past the millennium because supposedly the computers were going to blow up.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I didn't even think of past, you know.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's because I was emailing them.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_04]: I said, please don't do it.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: Please don't blow up.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, please don't blow up.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: We need these.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, please don't blow up.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, don't do white, okay?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: Why don't you don't?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was 13 in 2007.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, tech, tech nowadays is a lot bigger of a deal than it was when I was 13.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to tell you on this list and this one's this is a free.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_04]: This is a free.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_04]: Like a bowling piece of advice.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_04]: This is a bowling bumper.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_04]: There's no technology that this would not have been available.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_03]: So would not have been available.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_04]: that we're not available to a 13 year old in 2007, okay?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_04]: Carter 2001, I don't know what you guys had going on.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_04]: You would have had a hard time with this.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: Or some Bobby.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was just so full of drugs, you know?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, 13 was a blur, man.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was a total blur, my guy.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna say, I mean, you are a teenager for the first time in your life.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's a big year, man.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know when the kids are dating these days.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's, this is my first time to a Carter.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm gonna say, Resolution is ask individual out.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: Or like start relationship.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: I was gonna say get a girlfriend or boyfriend, yeah.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_04]: Starting off strong.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: Number one.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: Of course I did.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: We're in, I mean, we're, yeah.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_04]: It was the only thing I thought about.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: massive.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: The only thing I thought it my agenda every day at 13 was like so I got to get this girlfriend.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yo.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: I keep hearing about girlfriend and I got a try.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: People in that semester.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: He changed his.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: Whoa.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: Who's in my guy?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: Three classes.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_04]: Interesting.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_04]: I use your on this website name keychain says that dating in middle school is very pointless.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: Focus on learning.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_04]: This is like a nerd.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_04]: What a nerd.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody's just at your broken here, like a parent or something.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm gonna hang on.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna see what other list.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: You making sure it wasn't you.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_04]: Are you making sure this wasn't a... One of the lists they contribute to is the top 10 feelings you get at school.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: Excited, thrilled.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_04]: Well, these are like a fairy.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: These are very detailed.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_04]: Whoa, okay, I'm gonna add this as a favorite in my browser.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: Just for a rainy day, who knows?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows?
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, yeah.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, what's going on?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_04]: So great, yeah.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's, that's really good.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_04]: Fantastic, but you've done that.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: You're 13, you've done that.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: What else?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_04]: What else is there?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_04]: I'm really struggling here because I feel like there's no way that this list shouldn't be full of like responsible 13 year olds responding to things, but this website feels like it would be.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and so it's tough.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_04]: I think probably, if it, I don't think kids have sleepovers anymore because mine would have been like more sleepovers every weekend.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, when I was 13, but I don't think kids really do that anymore.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm gonna say when, get a victory royale in Fortnite.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: That's good.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: I would even give Jordan a general, it's not my game, so please don't let me over step here.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: If it's a general video game, uh, whole type of thing.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just curious.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I guess video games were around in 2007.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_04]: Fortnite certainly wasn't.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's going to be a strike.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_04]: Is this list about 2007?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_04]: No, but I said that there is nothing on this list that would not have been available to us in 2007.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, you said no technology video games.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: Touching.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: But your camera's given like a really great lens flare right now.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty cool, man.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's the window behind me.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's, it's got.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_04]: That's awesome.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's wow.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_04]: He's right here.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_04]: He's with us.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_04]: And now for God's turn.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: God, what would you do if you were a third.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: God was like a kid, believe it.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Was it that one, Jordan?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_04]: I tried.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_04]: I tried God.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: I guess something really homeschooly for your next turn.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm going to say, like, read X amount of books.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to give.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Dork, a dork door cancer.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: I just need to do the dorks.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: Put the feelers out when I have no strikes.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for dorks.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: Show me dorks.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: That's a strike for Carter.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_03]: Do my summer reading.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: We did just gave notes in 2001, by the way.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_03]: That was a new thing.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: That was the first year.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_04]: That was the first year.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: That's good to know.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: I was wondering.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_04]: That guy.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_04]: Who's that guy in your class?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_04]: Gutenberg.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_04]: Gutenberg.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_04]: Your buddy who invented that thing?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, goody.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: Goody.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, good.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_04]: Gutenberg, man.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, goody.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_04]: I think that was what he was going to call the printing press originally.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good bookie.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: You can't call it the Good Scoop Buggie.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Good Scoop Buggie.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Damn, good Scoop Buggie.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, show me, get taller.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, you just get the cards to try.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: You got to try.
- 12:42[UNKNOWN]: I love the card.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_04]: But put yourself in that headspace for just a second as an adult.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: Try and think about like.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: The lived reality, this time next year, I'll be taller than I am right now.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: Right, yeah.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's, can I imagine?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_04]: That's weird.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_04]: Did y'all's bones hurt so bad?
- 12:59[SPEAKER_04]: I used to get that, and just like lay and bed in agony.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, so bad.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my joints on fire.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's like I had headaches in my knees.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's tough.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's a strike for Jordan wonders.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, get taller.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_04]: Just not in zoom.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_04]: Not the 13-year-olds.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_04]: this year.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: I thought you were frozen because you were so still.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's thinking hard.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like culture certainly since 2001 from 2026 is far more health conscious than 2020 than 2001 was, but are there kids?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, do the kids.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: The parents are, but the kids can't.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because now, it feels like it's a grab at, you know, half of what a resolution would be for someone in their 30s, health oriented.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: I would imagine.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: In some way.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys do resolutions?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_03]: I had a seat in really, but I don't know.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_03]: Because I rather have something that I develop forever.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_04]: I hope my resolution feels like homework, which means I won't do it.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_04]: So I have to, yeah, I have to, I have like a goal.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I would like to do this this year.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, nothing that it's like, I wake up every morning.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, remember, this is the year when I was sticking out under your mirror.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say, make, make the team.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: Make that team.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_04]: Funny thing about home school.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_04]: Don't really have teams for your school probably.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_04]: That's a strike for Carter.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: Be nicer to my brother.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's good.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's a good.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: That's a really good guess.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, how generous do you want me to be?
- 14:58[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_04]: I can't think of anything.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_04]: Remember about this.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: Number eight, solve family issues.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, yeah, no, I'll take that.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's fine.

- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

- 20:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I can't say many of these are what I was doing at 13.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: Mine would have been like, get a girlfriend beat Majora's mask for the 18th time.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: Kiss that girlfriend rollerblade more.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, that probably would have been it.

- 21:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I want to do this year.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_04]: And that makes, that makes a lot of sense to me.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_04]: But not to these kids.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_04]: these kids are trying to hold their family together by a thread goodness gracious these kids are much like Spider-Man.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_04]: They're standing between the two halves of their family and they're they're straining with everything they have to hold their families together.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_04]: I admire that if you don't get it at 13 it doesn't it's not gonna happen well and they're right It is their responsibility.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm glad they're
- 22:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's on my own.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, because it's probably their fault, you know, whatever happened, whatever we wrongs probably their fault.

- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: See, they fit now.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: They fit a little fatty, don't they?

- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: Come on, when we all went to play catch.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: I would say until that point, if Jordan wanted to go get his old letter jacket, he just have to come to the trunk of a 2012 Honda Civic.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: How was our?
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was in, I think that was in my car for
- 24:42[SPEAKER_03]: Why did you have his letter jacket?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: He loaned it to me.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: This is a great story, you know?
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: Because it was a fantasy football, had friends play a fantasy football, and we needed to have some kind of incentive because some of these guys hadn't played before did not just poop up on everything, like to be bad.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: So you had to have an incentive for if you get last place you have to do this.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_03]: And for us, it was if you get last place, you have to take the ACT.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_03]: All of us were in our early mid late 20s at this time.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_03]: My brilliant idea became what I had to do.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: I got last place that year.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I took the ACT in Arlington High School and wore Jordan's Letterman to take it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_03]: At the age of 25 years old, I took the ACT.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good punishment, dude, that's so funny.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_04]: And I got that letter jacket for running flags and doing good on the tax test.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I got my letter jacket for orchestra and drums.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_04]: That's at least real.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_04]: Mine was UIL and theater.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_04]: You know, you were curious about what kind of, in case you're curious about what kind of guys are host in this podcast, that's the kind of guys.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_04]: I used to try to finish the text test as fast as it's humanly pop like my goal was not to do a good job My goal was to be done as fast as possible.

- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_04]: I appreciate you showing me an acoustic cover of a pop song on YouTube.

- 30:53[SPEAKER_04]: Short for a Glenwall.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I am going to have to spell it wrong.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_04]: Um, because if I gl gl white in it, well, Glen close has two ends, I believe, right?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_04]: And I think I don't know.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think I'm not getting any options there, but I'm getting a few.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think I think Glen close does have two.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'm getting a few if I do one in.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_04]: Have you ever seen all the posts praising Merrill Streep for her performance in glass onion?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_04]: Have you, are you guys not seen the I've seen last on your large, sorry, in the wake up in man, I've seen a large number of people being like street was amazing in this dude old white lady man, what's right, right, that's crazy.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: I have never confused those two.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: No, okay, yo, here's what we've got.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_04]: Talk to you about Glenn the Eagle.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_03]: Go birds.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_05]: Furrowed brow.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_05]: Sure.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_05]: Big smile.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_05]: Teethy, which is crazy.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_05]: See teeth.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_04]: Blue eyes and like a frown, like angry looking.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_04]: Beek is closed.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I'm going to take a swing.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_04]: This is a clear line of demarcation.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_04]: I believe that you know how when you do cartoon birds, sometimes their fingers are just like big feathers.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: They didn't do that.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_04]: He's wearing gloves, like Sonic.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_04]: Bold.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's just got like, they're just like, what kind of arms does he ego have?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_04]: Regular, it's not matter.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't matter.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't matter.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_04]: What's like, what's like the main thing about birds?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care about that.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: No shoes.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: We're we're talons here.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_04]: Weirdly tennis shoes like Sonic like this is just a guy a guy from Sonic and he has a beak.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_04]: Not really very good at making him a bird, I think.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_04]: No pants, though.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_04]: Sure with American flag on it like they sell it old Navy.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_04]: get a get a couple last guesses in here.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_04]: I will tell you right now you're tied.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say wings outstretched.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: Unforum.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have, I would do the opposite.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have human hands.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_03]: I do think it is our cartoon bird hand.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a wing.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's at their hands.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_05]: I think he's got sunglasses.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_05]: toothpick and again.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: Of course.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_04]: Of course.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_04]: That asked dude.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_04]: We're sitting in Glenn the Eagle here.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_04]: I am.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_04]: I am giving this one to Doge.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, there were
- 33:50[SPEAKER_04]: There were a lot of guesses from Doge that I would just call kind of gimmies that I normally wouldn't count.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_04]: But you guys were tied one to one and then Doge just had so many of the gimmies correct in a row about Glenn the Eagle.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_04]: the eagle in your inbox.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: Carter got a point for a brow.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_04]: Doge, I gave full points for gloves and regular fingers.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: Then does start to get in like shoes, no pants, just a sonic character.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: Those are all just like yeah, sure, whatever, but I mean, he just had so many amazing stuff.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, this is cool.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this looks like real hard.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_04]: I tried to look to see like, is this a real character I didn't know and know it was, but yeah, he's pretty sick.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, this is really cool.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't look like an eagle.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_04]: I will say that.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't look like a bunny rabbit with a beak.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_04]: Never guessed, Pony.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_04]: In the scarf, the scarf is pretty sick.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_04]: He's got a flowing scarf.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_04]: He's got these like half sleeves in like shoe cover things.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_04]: And he's doing what?
- 34:48[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't look like signs basically.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_04]: But he looks more like a Pokemon than a Sonic.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_04]: He does look kind of Pokemony.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_04]: But he is cool, though.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_04]: He's very cool.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Glenn, Glenn, Glenn, Ego, Ego, Glenn.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_04]: Josh, we got time for one more.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: What's our next, what's our next hog?
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_04]: Josh.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_04]: That's going to be a ripe field of pickings.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: I believe.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_04]: We do have a lot of options here.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_04]: My goodness.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_03]: Just go the route of toothpick and gun if you would please.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'll look for the woman with the toothpick and gun.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_04]: Pick the one that's wearing fingerless gloves if you don't mind.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, which one?
- 35:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I knew Josh was about that.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_04]: Which one?
- 35:45[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, trust Josh.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so many of these are amazing.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm uniquely not intimidating name at all.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: Right, bro, don't mess with Josh.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to figure out.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's a Joe at that point, right?
- 36:00[SPEAKER_04]: He's, he's, he's, he's a, yeah, just Joshua does a long-gating it.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_04]: Is there no message Joshua?
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_04]: That's a bully.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_04]: It feels like a bully.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_04]: A bully is Joshua.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_04]: And he gets it said if you call him Joshua.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: Can Joe be short for Joshua, too?
- 36:17[SPEAKER_04]: I think anything can be short for anything, man.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: Oh.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm so confused.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's the right, that's the right emotion.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, here we go, y'all.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_04]: Josh, the hedgehog, start talking to me.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_04]: You're gonna love this one.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_04]: I do know that.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_04]: Blue.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think Josh the hedgehog is a self-insert.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_04]: Our artist is called Josh.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_04]: And so we're gonna, of course he is.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_04]: So we're gonna, I think he's gonna look a lot a lot more like Sonic than maybe some of the others do because Sonic's the main character.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: Josh is red, but he has like a black stripes.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_04]: Most of him is hair, like in his sort of like like an inverse shadow.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_04]: Hair on his head, yes.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_04]: Here's something fun about Josh the hedgehog that I will just, I will say, this one's a freebie.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_04]: There are about a thousand Josh the hedgehogs because of how common that name is.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_04]: So you're probably describing one of these.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Is it this one?
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'll never tell.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: In a multiverse of infinite Josh's.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_04]: For real, genuinely.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_03]: So Josh's hands are touching.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_03]: They're together in some way, it's either in a prayer or like a Naruto or just like class, like in front of him, I think he has red eyes.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_05]: Josh has lots of jewelry.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, cool, bracelets, earrings.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_05]: Shorts, Josh is wearing shorts.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_04]: Josh has a necklace, I think.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_04]: Josh is wearing like a shirt with buttons.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's so crazy, and I can't, I always like I'd give it to you in full detail.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_03]: But there's a prop for Josh that doesn't make sense with the rest of Josh, I can't find it.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_04]: I can't see it, it shakes your ears like, it feels like we're channeling, like it absolutely feels like we're in a studio in somebody's where like I have a message from Josh, is there someone here?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, who knows that Josh has tiny little sunglasses on the bridge of his nose.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's an official guess, by the way.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_04]: Cool, some cool little Django and
- 38:49[SPEAKER_04]: Whoa, is that your guess for like the the prop that's, yeah.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_04]: Miss matched.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: I guess saying a mismatched prop does it.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's two general.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_04]: Not specific enough.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: Each of you gets one more guess.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_04]: You're tied right now.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_04]: Visible things.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_04]: Return into the old well.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: I see.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's not always true.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: I think we tried to make Josh look bad at with the sharp teeth.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_04]: We can only see one eye.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we're still tired.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_04]: The little extra flim added to the gravitas of that.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_04]: Like that.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_04]: Ugh.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_04]: We can only see one.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_04]: I only, there'd be only one eye.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but I start believing in Sonic fan art, Josh.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, you're both ending at a tie here, which is beautiful.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_04]: That's a beautiful way to love it.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, wild hogs, I'll let you decide what number you think the tie is.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_06]: Here comes Josh, the hedgehog straight to your twice.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
- 40:13[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, I kind of think it's supposed to be like a Yu-Gi-O card.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, definitely Yu-Gi-O, definitely our right hand has a playing card in it.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_04]: That's a card, right?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_04]: Left hand, this is a... Is that a KKG machine?
- 40:33[SPEAKER_04]: What is it?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to kill you with his playing card and then versus kept it just just in his eyes.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_03]: Really, seriously.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: I would have been the type.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to give you that just because of how prominent the out-of-the-field prop is.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to give that to you.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, you did this show.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_04]: Awesome.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so Josh is a green and teal.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_04]: Is that what we call that teal blue?
- 40:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_04]: A green and teal hedgehog.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_04]: Um, not really styled after any hedgehog.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm familiar with and his nose is shaped like the, the sour to your drops candies.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: Um, from America.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_04]: He is wearing green sneaks.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, blue jeans with green flames on them and a white t-shirt with an ace or a, a spade from cards.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_04]: Hey,
- 41:25[SPEAKER_04]: I think Carter was channeling a spade.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: He further was channeling something in the connection.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, yeah.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: He just couldn't see through the spirit.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give him the connection.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: I'll give him the spades.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'll give him the spade.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Carter wins.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's got flames on his sleeves.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_04]: And it has left hand down by in front of his crotch.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_04]: He's holding some sort of technology that's got waveforms on it.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_04]: And it looks like a CRT monitor.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's thick.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_04]: And then in his right, is there love?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_04]: There is so much lore for Josh that I could not scan it fast enough to find out what he was hoping.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_04]: There's an entire Wikipedia page.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_04]: And then, yeah, it's right, he's holding some kind of card.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's also a spade on the card would be my guess.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and it's a playing card.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_04]: It seems like it does seem like he's about to did it to do with some sort of UGO type.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_04]: It's giving, it's giving gambit a little bit.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_04]: Like I think it's a, I think he's going to do magic or powers with his card.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_04]: This is obvious, but I'll go ahead and give you a couple of different, um, a couple of different things about him.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_04]: He is 1200 years old.
- 42:31[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_04]: Here's some of his likes, real quick, friends, kids, pizza, intelligence, games, technology, epic kids, vacation, wind, his speed, good people, JFK's children, very good people, kids, kids, Alexander the Great Hedgehog.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_04]: Dislikes, childish things, negativity, bad guys being forced to do things, traders, darkness, anyone who looks at his secret info, someone who doesn't limit their powers, milk, Alexander the Great Hedgehog.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_04]: Talk to his powder.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_04]: Hair pinways in the face of the two years.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, yeah, go ahead.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_04]: He, he both loves and hates Alexander the Great Hedgehog.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you get that.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_04]: You get that.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_04]: Is this Alexander the Great Hedgehog or Alexander?
- 43:06[SPEAKER_04]: Who is a great hedgehog?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_04]: No, Alexander the Great, the Hedgehog.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_04]: Um, just real quick, I'll run through so fast some of his abilities, if you feel like it's important.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_04]: I already know him, but tell Carter.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_04]: Chaos powers, super transformation, super speed, flexibility, sonic boom, weaponry, great intellect, supersonic skating speed, durability, vehicular knowledge, keen senses, especially far-sight, flight agility, supersonic flying speed, high tech expertise, expert mechanic with Louie, whoever that is, gradual changing of eye color, swimming, electrocinesis, psychokinesis,
- 43:43[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, what else we got?
- 43:45[SPEAKER_04]: Pyro canes, we're back on the canesias.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_04]: Terricanesis, subteriform, only hydro canesis, white magic, like chaos, eocrono canesis, slowing time or light speed movement, telekinesis, power mimicry, invisibility, telepathy, levitation, robotic sentences, talentful, intangibility, summon weaponry, and, of course, mind reading.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I may obviously.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_04]: This is the epitome of the like,
- 44:11[SPEAKER_04]: No, you can't hit me.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_04]: My character is invincible.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_00]: Just like this.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_04]: One of the powers is power and mimicry.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_04]: This is force field kid for sure.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_04]: Like nope, then count, force field.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_04]: Is the card a Bachugun thing?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_04]: Is that what it is?
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_04]: Is are there Bachugun cards?
- 44:29[SPEAKER_04]: There are Bachugun cards.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: They don't look like that though.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_04]: Is there a Bachugun piece of technology that looks like that retrofuturistic piece of Star Wars tech he's holding?
- 44:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not going to lie.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_04]: I missed out on Bachugun.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: It was after my time.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_04]: I was a baby.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not familiar with it.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_04]: Some of these look pretty cool though.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, everything about Josh sounds really cool.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no, Josh is sick.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_04]: Would you send that link to the wiki?
- 45:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm just curious.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, of course.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_04]: Click around a little bit.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_04]: I want to find out more about Josh.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, of course.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_04]: I definitely will.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and uh, I'll tell you what we'd love to.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_04]: We'd love to support Josh the hedgehog monetarily.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: If there's a link anywhere in the only way we can do that is, yeah, we are going to adopt him and put his picture on our fridge.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's going to be, uh, it's going to be sort of like a makeup, make a Josh situation.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to Shannon.

- 46:21[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't mean anything to us.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_04]: We don't want that.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_04]: We just need enough.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_04]: So, no, we need it, you know, please help.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_04]: We need it every every every little bit every little bit gets as that much closer to de-throning the king.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to be the base on the whole world this year.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to kick the Joe Rogan experiences ass.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think we've spent the last nine years really like honing our craft and we're finally ready to take it mainstream.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_04]: The only reason we're not huge is because we didn't want to be, but now we're ready, right?
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: We're like that, we're like that home baker who shows up to create British bake-off, and everybody's like, I own a participatory, I own a bakery, I own this, and this, where the guy who's like, I just cook for my grandkids, and I love my biscuits, and then we're going to win the whole thing.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yes.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like that.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_04]: Back to the show.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_05]: I'd just like to make cookies for my grandkids.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'd just like to make a York shoe pudding for my grandkids.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: But my young grandkids love my grandmongues.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: Poor people, poor and pru, if they don't like it.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_04]: They don't know what's what.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_04]: To remember when our good friend Vince had the tax carder and be like, hey, idiots, it's a fernet bronca.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_04]: We kept saying Furly Branker I don't even remember that we kept quoting for a long time We'd be like oh the Affirly Bunker Vince texted you and was like please tell those dumbasses that it's a Furnit Branker Holy Breaker Affirly Bunker
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: If, and let's be honest, that's the most amazing thing.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_04]: We're all saying the same thing.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_04]: We're all saying the same thing.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's exactly the same.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's exactly the same.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_04]: There's literally no change.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_03]: Which means those two.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's speaking of, speaking of brits to an American things.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_04]: Daniel Craig and other, there's been another mode.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_04]: There's been, and there's been another mode.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_04]: I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_04]: We've said it before.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_04]: I will say it again, make a thousand of these.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_03]: Make me a million, keep them coming.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: We thought I like what seven years ago that they was after the first one was done, that there's a contract for five.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: And even then we're like, yeah, and we're like, that's not enough.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's great.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_03]: One time.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: That's not enough.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: This is going to, this is going to sneakily be the best modern franchise, I think.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_05]: I think so too.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_04]: Six years from now when the fifth movie comes out, I think we're gonna find ourselves being like, he did it.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_04]: He really think.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_04]: What's, because five perfect movies.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_03]: We tend to,
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: This was probably maybe the least, like, a listter in terms of acting crew that we've had yet.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_03]: But do you think what makes it sneaky is that it's the every iteration after the first one is just going to be straight to stream?
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: Does that feel, is that the sneakiness of it?
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because we've got like a whole, like, that's a little bit for sure.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's a little bit for sure.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of thing, yeah.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_04]: I also just feel like they don't get the fact.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_04]: I hate the fact that Netflix bought this, by the way, these should be getting theatrical, why distribution?
- 49:56[SPEAKER_04]: That's true, not, and it sucks.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_04]: I think part of this sneakiness to me is that you don't, I don't think you get a lot of franchises, modern franchises that aren't action movies, right?
- 50:06[SPEAKER_04]: And so the fact that we're getting like a long running franchise,
- 50:11[SPEAKER_04]: that is not having trailers with Tom Cruise sprinting his ass off, or like a big explosion, if he feels a little just a little quieter and just a little more reserved.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_04]: I think part of what makes these work is that the only throughline is Binwa Blunk.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_04]: The right, the cast, the mystery, everything's fresh and new.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_04]: So it's basically just Ryan Johnson's excuse to make five good mystery movies and then throw, yeah.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: Daniel Craig's best character into each one of, he's like, yeah, he found a driver, he loves.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_03]: And now he just spins every two to three years building vehicles, same driver.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: But can I give this a spin?
- 50:55[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think of that?
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: And by the way, after this movie, I am ready to fully stake Daniel Craig's best character.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't Bond.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_04]: I love the modern bonds.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_04]: I really love the modern bonds.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_04]: But Daniel Craig, as Pinowap Lank, is this won't get re-done.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_04]: Like, this is just its own thing.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's certainly our bond with the widest range in terms of his acting.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_03]: Opportunities.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: Opportunities.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: You mentioned Sean Connery has been well-blown?
- 51:37[SPEAKER_05]: Now.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to, no, I do.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say I don't want to get into the weeds.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_04]: I do want to get into the weeds.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's the only thing I want to do.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_04]: I want to get into the weeds.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot to say about this movie and a lot of it, I think is uninteresting because it's going to be far-leaning.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_04]: There's great performances in the music's amazing.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody's really fun.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_04]: Benoit Blanc is amazing.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_04]: We know this.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_04]: None of these things are surprising.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_04]: If we want to, we can give quick shout-outs to our favorite people or our favorite, you know.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_04]: moments besides big one, but like, you know, Andrew Scott's always great.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_04]: Josh Braulman's fantastic.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_04]: I thought, okay, this, but like everybody here is so good except for me looking at this.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that it's, it really is such a fun movie, totally deserving of the glass onion sequel and the knives out universe.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_04]: The thing I want to land on if we may.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_04]: And and probably just this is the discussion that I would like to have about this movie.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you guys feel differently.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_04]: The conversation that this movie is having with the concept of faith, yeah, yeah, is fascinating to me.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_04]: We rewatched Midnight Mass back in the fall during October.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's a very similar conversation, yeah.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_04]: It is a, and I'm really loving how much art is doing this right now, where there's a lot of art that is having a respectful yet critical.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_04]: conversation of modern religion and is highlighting the good people within the system.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_04]: In a way that I feel like it is easy to baby bath water.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_04]: And there are no good operatives left in that world.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_04]: But this movie with what was the name of the pastor, Father Judd.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_04]: Father Judd's
- 53:35[SPEAKER_04]: so beautifully written and so well-rounded.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's actually- It's summed up in one specific scene that I know the three of us have talked about together, but I don't think we've talked about, you know, obviously on the podcast.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_04]: There's a moment in this movie where Father Judd, Desperate II, solved this murder and clear his name, but also expose the secrets and the sort of the darkness around him in his church.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_04]: He is so caught up in solving these mysteries, and it's consuming him completely.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_04]: He ends up calling this construction company for some help figuring out who ordered a crypt to be opened.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_04]: And on the phone with this woman,
- 54:19[SPEAKER_04]: from the construction company, and he's frustrated, and he's like borderline yelling and just sweating, and he doesn't have time for her just piddling around.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_04]: And then, right when he's about to kind of hang up the phone in anger, this woman just addresses him as, I think she called him pastor or father.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_04]: And then she says, would you pray for me?
- 54:41[SPEAKER_04]: And this, everything just drops and stops like he just freezes and there's this beautiful thing in this moment that I think this movie asks the question about like if you feel like you're you're made to do something how important is that thing and
- 54:57[SPEAKER_04]: for for Father Judd that the answer is all consuming.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_04]: And so he he drops all desire to even solve the mystery and spins.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_04]: What seems to be about an hour, maybe a little more on the phone with this woman just talking about her life and yeah, you know, bringing her comfort and
- 55:14[SPEAKER_04]: Something about that just, I mean, it moved me so much to see the idea that there are, you know, we're all in and out of the church world in different ways.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_04]: I stepped out and it's, it is really easy to assume there's no good left.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_04]: And to know that Ryan Johnson sees good that I have turned a blind eye to you.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_04]: It's really beautiful.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that was something near the beginning, because even when we have because, uh, O'Connor is our, our judge is our narrators.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_03]: I essentially fan, he has this guy so good every way.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's unbelievable.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_03]: He's going back for a lot here.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_03]: He probably already has and we're a little bit behind.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: But, uh,
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we get internal monologues.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: We get all sorts of stuff from him from the jump.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: And very early in this had me immediately being like, how does this is such an intimate look at faith?
- 56:14[SPEAKER_03]: It really feels like inside of it.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_03]: It maybe won't be like, right, what is your?
- 56:18[SPEAKER_03]: What is your?
- 56:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's one thing to be a well researched director.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_03]: You go talk to the experts and stuff.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_03]: But Ryan Johnson tends to be a pretty personal writer to in the midst of these worlds that he's creating and how he just happens to mysteries can't be easy to write and do well much right, but yeah, to have this integrated into all of it because I think out of.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_03]: All of the mystery movies, this is more remembered for me, even though we've got great reveals of what he's what's even happening and massively shocking things that happen.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think the faith.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: I would even call it an undertone.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's blatant for sure.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_03]: It stands out the most.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think a scene in for me is just the bubbling up and eventual conflict between.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_03]: monster between Brolin and Joshua Conner of just here is because it's one thing, you know, I Ryan Johnson is incredibly well researched.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: I teach students how to write academic research papers and grad students on the grad level to like be able to publish and so that's a big part of my life, hypothesizing, collecting data points outliers, all that good stuff.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: One of the strongest things that you can do is show the counterpoint.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_03]: It strengthens your own argument to show the other side.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_03]: And so, just as intimately, as Ryan Johnson is trying to tell us something about faith, he had to have Josh Bro, he did such a great job.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_03]: He is obscene, and there's parts of him that are like,
- 57:48[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I guess, yeah, like if it works, you keep going, but the way he would center people out in the midst of his sermons, you know, and it didn't feel incredibly unfamiliar.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, it felt very familiar.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_03]: Josh Brolin's uncomfortable, yeah.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_03]: More than.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_03]: You know, uh, O'Connor, uh, Father Judd.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_03]: But I, yeah, you're talking about like the different, our relationships to faith, my dad's a pastor and sometimes that frustrates me in terms of like, as a kid, vacations being cut short because of the kind of things that you see Father Judd do here.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of like I do legitimately and I've talked to my dad about this.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't be Aaron Aaron out or the it's a disease of our relationship without sure about him.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_03]: We were trying to save your family this year since you're 13.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_03]: I had to as an only child.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: I felt like play certain roles that I shouldn't have because my dad was tending to the flock.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's like there was just these things that he felt a certain calling to of just being the person like you hear that.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_03]: No matter how much, man, my dad has to be one of the most patient people in the world.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_03]: Because I had, I felt like I got to read people and learn about people, based off of how intimately close just random people would be in our lives.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: And just the certain things dad would choose to share and not to share.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_03]: Thankfully he didn't share everything because I know it was dark and I know it's exhausting.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_03]: And it's yeah, what the inner turmoil of what his responsibilities were, what father judge responsibilities were just for his own personal well being and the well being of others hits in a different way too, but it's just brilliant.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's so good.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the decision to have been walked throughout the film talk about.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: The moment I love is the parlor room speech, which is what this series has become known for.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a that's a meta textual conversation with knives out the franchise.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_04]: The thing I love the most is the parlor room speech when I say it was Colonel mustard in the dining room with the candle opera, you know, and lay out all the details of the murder, and then have him consciously pull back and not all or less.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_04]: I love seeing because in that moment he realizes,
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm doing the same thing Josh Brawlin's doing.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm imposing my own certainty.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_04]: I'm bludgeoning people with my own strongly held beliefs.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_04]: And it doesn't mean anything unless they get to themselves.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_04]: And this and offering, offering, Kriela Deville, the chance to confess to her crimes is like, I think it was beautiful.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_04]: Like the resolution of this movie is unbelievably well written.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_04]: It also felt like some buy-in from Benoit to not necessarily, I will not even not necessarily.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_04]: Not at all.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_04]: to the faith or the religion, but to he bought into Father Judd.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't buy it felt like in that moment when he let Father Judd be a pastor and let him give that peace to Glenn close Martha.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_04]: It felt not like Daniel Craig was saying like this is important spiritually, but more like, I mean, I buy what Father Judd is selling.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_04]: I think that he's a man trying to bring peace to people and he deserves the chance to do that.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_04]: We're in his house.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_04]: This is where he is in charge.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_04]: And it felt like, I don't know, it added this layer to Benoit Blanc that we hadn't really had of like, he's not in the first movie.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_04]: We see him see people that feel unseen.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_04]: We saw him see
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_04]: See them for who they were in in the second movie.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_04]: We kind of saw him interact more so with the Ridiculously wealthy and fortunate and kind of see through them.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_04]: And then in this one it feels like he sees the person that sees everyone And took a little something from that and I thought that was really beautiful And it also serves as an interesting three beat for the entire series.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which kind of feels like the door is wide open to do some
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_04]: weird stuff in four and five, kind of take it anywhere.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_03]: I have so much respect for Ryan Johnson, especially in this series, I think we see it the most.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: You can tell when it's someone's passion project, it's like Denise with doing right now.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I think the mutants of the world, which meaning like you have something maybe that you're born with that you've discovered in our harnessing and it becomes like a vice and also like a superpower.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: The mutants of the world are the ones that are both
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: Legitimately like intelligent, but also emotionally intelligent to be able to carry both of those things at the same time and in a lot of the times tell stories that way I would qualify you guys as that to like in general like you are massive the amount of influence that the emotionally intelligent and legitimately intelligent people of the world have.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: to be able to say, here's how I feel and here's why, and here's the formulas, like Ryan Johnson has this.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_03]: And the fact that he took, because I, yes, I have to think with the way that he writes, it feels like the actual invitation in glass onion was the best manifestation, like in the flesh that will ever get of his head, of his mind.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I think he gets so much fun writing that and creating that and having the prop people work with that.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_03]: You have to think Ryan Johnson in knowing that he would do five movies, kind of has an idea already.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: If we were intimately close and also he's probably like closed trap door, he would not tell anybody.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think he would tell you like what four and five are about.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: It makes so much sense to me that foundationally the center of all of it is is faith and it gets me so excited for what he's going to do.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you've hit some pretty big stuff.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: What happens in four and five for sure, you know, and to know that you're going to get something completely different.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_03]: We talk all the time, especially with new series or even if we're looking back at old ones, that really you know by the third, if this is going to be a franchise.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_03]: You can go ahead and shoot your shot and say, you can rank it in places.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's why Jordan would say Benoit is Daniel Craig's best because we've seen plenty of bonds, but now we've seen three Benoit's.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: I can confidently say, you know, um, this this mystery, there's not going to be anything like it.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_03]: And that's tough.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_03]: because a lot of mysteries and who done it's look a lot alike.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_03]: And we didn't even talk at all about the reveal of how any of this happened, which in itself, you know, right after that's because I think it doesn't matter.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_04]: No, it is cool and it kept me guessing, but I think it doesn't matter.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's kind of at the heart of this movie.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's why this particular mystery is the one where Benoit says, I'm not going to do the reveal because it doesn't really matter how it happened because that's not what this movie's about.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_04]: This is the first Knives Out movie that's not really about the mystery.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's, I loved it.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, I really loved it.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_03]: It's a really, quite effective for me.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_03]: He chose, and I think what are the best moves that Ryan Johnson could have made
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_03]: The growth of Binwa is not that he's choosing faith.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's that he's choosing people.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like he's choosing, right?
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_03]: He is empathetically aligned with this guy.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: He says, here's two, which we do all the time, shared experiences.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_03]: Here's two people.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to try and be more like one of them.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: Be a the recognition that really, maybe more than he wanted to know he'd leaned.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_03]: Broland's way, a lot of the time in his life.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_04]: He's always getting paired up with one quote unquote like Normie, one person who's very different from the rest of the group in every movie.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't even want to say that Father Judd is my favorite because I really loved Onitane Armesh and I really loved Janel Monet in a glass.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_04]: Like all of the, he's chosen, he's chosen partnerships that are so great for,
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_04]: Um, Daniel Craig to like bounce off of and for Ben Roblunk to be a part of, but man, something felt special here.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, how the, um, should we rate this?
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_04]: I guess we should rate this.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_04]: I've been a minute.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, blow the dust off.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, we'll rate it using a scientific cinema scale, which is, uh, all the dust, uh, scientific cinema scale, perfect.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_04]: And.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_04]: As far as, that's okay, could ever say about a movie is, oh no, don't let it.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_04]: Bye, bye, bye, bye.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_04]: The next best thing is buy it.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_04]: That's followed by a rent, and then stream it.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_04]: After that is for get it in last, but certainly it's the worst thing we could ever say about a movie.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_04]: God have forsaken us.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm buying the poster.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I really am.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's, first of all, great poster.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_04]: And second of all, specifically the one where they're all looking into the open graph.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: That's the one.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's great.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_04]: Such a cool poster, but I love it.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's, I don't think that I would say it's the best.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I've got movie, I think that's still the first one, but I do think it might be my favorite one.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_04]: Poster for me as well.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_04]: Easy poster.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_04]: Easy poster, I knew it within the first 15 minutes.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was gonna love this movie.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's gonna be a poster.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll post her too.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's a, it was just, it felt for us for sure, specifically.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think to, yeah, just see the kind of conversations that this was bringing up in general was was pretty powerful.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, Ryan Johnson is doing what he loves.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: He tends to do stand out things in the middle of genres that you might actually expect one thing.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: and he delivers very different things and that was the worst thing about what he did for Star Wars.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: But I think the more that I see knives out, mysteries, and see more Ryan Johnson, I get the last Jedi, or I get the decision, the bad decision it was to have him be a part of that.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think I respect was going to just write something completely different and Star Wars was not ready for that I don't fault him.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_04]: No, I fault I fault the decision to have a guy who's whole deal is like shaking I love I'm gonna take it apart and put it back together in a different way.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yes Yeah, Tony did that with yeah, yeah every every knives out movie poker face
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_04]: the fly episode of Breaking Bad, like all of it, is sure everything you love.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to take it apart and show you what it's actually made for God.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_04]: He'll do something different about it.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, such a good episode.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_04]: Let's, let's end it, let's end it like this.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_04]: Let's, let's say our name and where we would do our big reveal of our mystery if we were in Benoit's position.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_04]: What would be sort of the setting for two chunks in a
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_04]: Jordan and it would be in the middle of a busy brewery during like a peak tour.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_04]: There's like 50 by standards.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sanding with the entire staff and there's a bunch of big open like open top like brewery like the big vats.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_04]: And as I'm talking, I would be slowly spinning the opening and beer should be coming out.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_04]: But instead it would just be liquid gold.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_04]: Pouring out under the floor and we would discover that that's what they were doing.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's what they were doing was they were making they were making gold.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's called money on That's the money that is right.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_04]: Look it out when you turn when you turn beer into gold.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's money laundering.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I turn beer into gold every day Talk about P Talk about PS
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, I'm dozed and we're solving this from the International Space Station via a direct video link to Houston, but you're a murderer, but Ben was up there.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's on the space station.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_04]: They sent him there because there is one astronaut on the station.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_04]: There were two astronauts in the station.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_04]: One of them seriously died the other one gone missing.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_04]: a true true true and he's the one that's missing did it, the one that's missing did it.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe you never can tell with the sorts of things.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's why you call Benny the block.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm in this Benny and the plunk.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_03]: I am, I'm actually in the same cathedral.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_03]: We're, we're, say, I am just in war and let's take the
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_03]: led by me just saying, I'll have a confession to make.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_03]: And then get everybody comically into like sardines, the confession booth.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_03]: I am on one side revealing everything to everybody.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they march brother style, try and all fit on the other side.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_03]: There's like a awkward 30 second.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like in game night when he takes the like $5 bill and slowly does it across the table.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_03]: As I'm addressing someone else, they have to, we're hearing them maneuver and grunt to get that person's face up to that part as I address them.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_04]: I honest to God that you are about to do Binhua Blanc speaking the lyrics to the best of you by food fighters, I genuinely thought you were about to say, oh I have another confession of me, I'm your fool.
