Transcript
- 0:00Tammy Green Mitchell: There have been moments, literally.
- 0:03Tammy Green Mitchell: in the last few weeks where I found myself curled into a fetal position, and crying, and wondering if this is what it actually feels like when you lose your mind. Like, I've really wondered, is this…
- 0:18Tammy Green Mitchell: Is this what it feels like when your mind finally snaps in and there's nothing?
- 0:31Tammy Green Mitchell: Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to episode 18 of the United States of Us.
- 0:38Tammy Green Mitchell: We are back after a short hiatus, where… which both of us really, really needed.
- 0:46Tammy Green Mitchell: So, welcome everybody back. Lori and I were just having a conversation that we decided really needed to be included in the podcast today. So, I'm gonna let Lori speak a little piece of.
- 1:02Tammy Green Mitchell: the beginning here, and then I'll come back to that.
- 1:07Lori Walpole: Yeah, Tammy, it's so great to be back here with you. Yeah, we needed a few weeks away. You had some renovations going on at your home.
- 1:15Lori Walpole: I mean, you and your beautiful wife, Hope, y'all ended up staying at another place for a while and then coming back and work is still progressing, almost there. You're getting close. I actually ended up on the road for three weeks.
- 1:28Lori Walpole: I didn't expect to be on the road for 3 weeks, but that's how it ended up, and was beautiful. All the people I got to see, all my alone driving time, where I just got to spend time with me, which was beautiful, and I'm just so glad to be back here with you today.
- 1:46Tammy Green Mitchell: I am too. I really love you, Lori, and I just… I know I say that often, but I just wanted to take a second to say that. You are always a grounding force in my life, and I really, really appreciate that, so thank you for that.
- 1:59Lori Walpole: You're welcome, and you are that for me, too.
- 2:03Lori Walpole: and all of our craziness. We still find a way through, you know, our friendship and our love that we have, that when there's times that I just need someone. I'm like Tammy. Do you have just a little bit of time we can talk. I just need to bounce something off of you. You were there for me, and I am forever grateful.
- 2:23Tammy Green Mitchell: Same, same, I feel the same. And it has been a bit of a rollercoaster for us the last 3 weeks… for me, the last 3 weeks. The renovations have been going on, which means that, we've been living in about a quarter of the space.
- 2:41Tammy Green Mitchell: That we have in our home, and we were fortunate enough to.
- 2:47Tammy Green Mitchell: have had the opportunity to pet sit for a friend of ours for a good bit of that time, so we did get some relief from that. And then this last part, we've been here, back in our home, under about 3 inches of dust in a quarter of the space.
- 3:04Tammy Green Mitchell: With a sick pup.
- 3:09Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah, it's sort of been like, I'm not sure if it's the astrology, astronomy, what it is going on, but it feels like we have definitely been the bug and not the windshield lately.
- 3:23Lori Walpole: [laughs]
- 3:24Tammy Green Mitchell: Oops.
- 3:25Tammy Green Mitchell: So, our… we were able to move all of our stuff back into its appropriate place yesterday. We were able to sleep in our bed last night, which was amazing, and we were able to use our new bathroom last night, which was also amazing. So, things are looking up.
- 3:45Tammy Green Mitchell: Today has been one day of a bit of rollercoaster in motion for me, and I'm confident that it's… my energy levels are depleted because we were like mad women yesterday, cleaning the house and trying to get everything back in place, so…
- 4:04Tammy Green Mitchell: I had a…
- 4:06Tammy Green Mitchell: I… my sweet wife said something to me while we were organizing our closets, and it completely triggered me. The whole… and it had nothing whatsoever to do with her, but what she said to me completely triggered me.
- 4:23Tammy Green Mitchell: And she thankfully had the good sense to just walk away and leave me alone for a little while.
- 4:29Tammy Green Mitchell: And let me just marinate in it.
- 4:35Tammy Green Mitchell: So, it's kind of hard to have a conflict with someone when they just leave and go to the other room, right? So.
- 4:45Tammy Green Mitchell: Yes, I'm very glad that she had the, the foresight to be able to do that, and and then it occurred to me that, you know.
- 4:56Tammy Green Mitchell: It really is all about me, and this needed to come up at this time for me to process it and work through it, and… And it involved just being angry about…
- 5:11Tammy Green Mitchell: Just really nothing.
- 5:14Tammy Green Mitchell: It was really nothing! But all this anger and all these…
- 5:19Tammy Green Mitchell: childhood emotions came to the surface, and I cried. I had to cry it out to get it out.
- 5:29Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, I've spent most of my life taking care of everybody else. I am the eldest daughter, true eldest daughter syndrome.
- 5:38Tammy Green Mitchell: And, and I believe that I came here to do that. You know, my… we've talked about this a million times, but my family was dysfunctional, my parents didn't know how to interact in a healthy way with each other.
- 5:52Tammy Green Mitchell: They were young, it was not a planned pregnancy, and And so, I really do believe that I… my soul chose to come here to… to be the liaison in this family, to help people, to help them
- 6:11Tammy Green Mitchell: heal the wounds that they each brought into this timeline.
- 6:16Tammy Green Mitchell: And as a result of that. you know, things still come up for me that really just, take me right back to being that child again, and being confused and being scared.
- 6:31Tammy Green Mitchell: Even just saying that brings up emotion.
- 6:34Tammy Green Mitchell: And knowing that ultimately.
- 6:38Tammy Green Mitchell: Or feeling that ultimately, I'm responsible. I'm responsible for Everyone's happiness for everyone's,
- 6:49Tammy Green Mitchell: Position for everyone else's work that they need to do at all.
- 6:54Tammy Green Mitchell: felt like it came back to me, and So…
- 6:59Tammy Green Mitchell: this is what I get to process today, apparently. And… and I'm here for it, whatever it takes.
- 7:06Tammy Green Mitchell: I am crying it out. I'm gonna work it out and work through it.
- 7:14Tammy Green Mitchell: And as you know, earlier this week I celebrated 32 years of sobriety.
- 7:22Tammy Green Mitchell: which is really It feels really good.
- 7:30Tammy Green Mitchell: to…
- 7:33Tammy Green Mitchell: know that I can do something for that long, that I can sustain something healthy for me for that long.
- 7:43Tammy Green Mitchell: And I think that's the part that feels the greatest about it. I don't tell people that.
- 7:49Tammy Green Mitchell: seeking validation, or celebration, or anything like that.
- 7:56Tammy Green Mitchell: just… I don't feel like I need that anymore, but…
- 8:00Tammy Green Mitchell: I will tell you that there are…
- 8:05Tammy Green Mitchell: like I miss that in my family of origin. You know, told my dad, and he was like, no big deal, you know.
- 8:15Tammy Green Mitchell: And then I think about my aunt, who was always so proud of me around that, and I think that she sensed that… that I got to be the cycle breaker in that sense. For the history of alcoholism in our family.
- 8:31Tammy Green Mitchell: And, as you know as well, she suffers from Alzheimer's, and so she does not have the presence of mind right now to recognize that and to understand
- 8:44Tammy Green Mitchell: That celebration, and it… I had some sadness around that.
- 8:53Tammy Green Mitchell: Missing her.
- 8:56Tammy Green Mitchell: And missing.
- 8:58Tammy Green Mitchell: Her support and her acknowledgement.
- 9:02Tammy Green Mitchell: And so… I think all of that is coming up for me as well.
- 9:07Tammy Green Mitchell: And… As a result, I did. I wrote a small piece last week.
- 9:17Tammy Green Mitchell: that…
- 9:19Tammy Green Mitchell: reflects my own personal journey of the seven stages of soul alchemy that I've been walking through this past year.
- 9:29Tammy Green Mitchell: And… I would like to read that.
- 9:34Lori Walpole: I would love for you to read that, Tammy, and I just want to say before you do.
- 9:39Lori Walpole: that just because you're not receiving, you know, a little bit of validation and support of how amazing your 32 years of sobriety has been from your
- 9:52Lori Walpole: From your birth family.
- 9:53Lori Walpole: You are an inspiration to so many, and I'm one of those people. I'm now over 4 years alcohol-free, and it kind of happened for me organically, you know, going through my own journey, but you are an absolute inspiration, and I thank you for that.
- 10:12Tammy Green Mitchell: Thank you. I love you and I feel that. And I got every bit of validation from
- 10:21Tammy Green Mitchell: from the other people who have been on this journey with me along the way in sobriety, I… there's nothing that I missed on any of that.
- 10:32Tammy Green Mitchell: But, yeah, I just miss that for my aunt.
- 10:36Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 10:37Tammy Green Mitchell: I think it really just has to do with missing her.
- 10:41Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 10:42Lori Walpole: Okay.
- 10:43Tammy Green Mitchell: So thank you for that.
- 10:47Tammy Green Mitchell: And, I'll read this, and then we can just talk about it, and we can break it down and go wherever it leads us from there.
- 10:56Lori Walpole: Careful.
- 10:59Tammy Green Mitchell: The 7 stages of soul alchemy.
- 11:03Tammy Green Mitchell: Your life will look fine from the street. Inside, you'll feel like a stranger in your own house. You'll think you're losing your mind.
- 11:12Tammy Green Mitchell: You're actually losing an identity. Seven stages.
- 11:17Tammy Green Mitchell: They'll come out of order. Some of them will come twice.
- 11:21Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll recognize the one you're standing in.
- 11:27Tammy Green Mitchell: Part one, the burning.
- 11:30Tammy Green Mitchell: The bill comes due for something that matters to you. Something gets taken. The marriage.
- 11:36Tammy Green Mitchell: The body you trusted.
- 11:38Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll keep reaching for the old life, the familiar one.
- 11:43Tammy Green Mitchell: Your hands will close on smoke.
- 11:45Tammy Green Mitchell: This is the fire.
- 11:47Tammy Green Mitchell: It will burn the title first, then the need to be right.
- 11:52Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll bargain, you'll beg, and it'll take that too.
- 11:57Tammy Green Mitchell: Your hands were full, but new things need empty hands.
- 12:02Tammy Green Mitchell: Quit pulling things out of the flames.
- 12:08Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 2. The waiting.
- 12:11Tammy Green Mitchell: Rage and desire will take turns driving.
- 12:15Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll want to scream at your boss. You'll want to text your ex at 1AM. Don't.
- 12:21Tammy Green Mitchell: Channel the fuel. A pressure cooker with the lid on will make dinner. Pop the lid, and it's on the ceiling. Hold it.
- 12:31Tammy Green Mitchell: Hold it while it shakes you.
- 12:33Tammy Green Mitchell: Hold it until it has one place left to go. Up.
- 12:38Tammy Green Mitchell: Write the ugly pages. Walk until your legs quit. Give the fuel a job.
- 12:47Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 3, the melting.
- 12:50Tammy Green Mitchell: Every belief you've had is on the table.
- 12:53Tammy Green Mitchell: Your religion, your mother's rules.
- 12:56Tammy Green Mitchell: It'll take 10 minutes to pick a cereal.
- 13:00Tammy Green Mitchell: Which version of you will decide?
- 13:03Tammy Green Mitchell: It all froze years ago. Your beliefs, your defenses.
- 13:08Tammy Green Mitchell: A frozen pipe will hold the water in. The thaw is messy. Expect it on the floor.
- 13:15Tammy Green Mitchell: Listen to the unfamiliar voice inside you that you disagree with. Say it out loud. I might be wrong.
- 13:24Tammy Green Mitchell: It tastes like metal.
- 13:26Tammy Green Mitchell: Say it anyway.
- 13:28Tammy Green Mitchell: A frozen mind will run one loop for 40 years, but water will find the sea.
- 13:38Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 4, The Collapse. Nothing matters.
- 13:43Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll sleep 14 hours or none. The dishes will sit. The phone will buzz, and you'll watch it.
- 13:50Tammy Green Mitchell: You will become a ghost in your own kitchen.
- 13:53Tammy Green Mitchell: The old you is dying. It will rot.
- 13:57Tammy Green Mitchell: Rot smells like hell.
- 13:59Tammy Green Mitchell: Rot is compost. Compost makes soil.
- 14:04Tammy Green Mitchell: Turn the pile and wait.
- 14:06Tammy Green Mitchell: The old mystics called it the dark night of the soul. They sat in it.
- 14:12Tammy Green Mitchell: Your seed is already in the dirt. Eat.
- 14:16Tammy Green Mitchell: Shower. Stay.
- 14:19Tammy Green Mitchell: Let someone sit with you in the dark.
- 14:24Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 5. The filtration.
- 14:27Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll feel amazing. Downloads at 3am. You'll see what everyone else misses.
- 14:33Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll want to post it, proselytize it, preach it.
- 14:37Tammy Green Mitchell: Don't.
- 14:39Tammy Green Mitchell: Spiritual ego is ego in better clothes. It wants to be seen being holy.
- 14:46Tammy Green Mitchell: Clear water still carries poison.
- 14:49Tammy Green Mitchell: Test it.
- 14:51Tammy Green Mitchell: Hold what you see up against Monday morning.
- 14:54Tammy Green Mitchell: Hold it in 5 o'clock traffic.
- 14:57Tammy Green Mitchell: Hold it in the daily mundane. Look again. Look again.
- 15:02Tammy Green Mitchell: Look again.
- 15:04Tammy Green Mitchell: Anything that wants applause goes back through.
- 15:10Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 6, The Birthing.
- 15:12Tammy Green Mitchell: The peaks were real. So was the quiet.
- 15:15Tammy Green Mitchell: Then your kid screams, and it's gone.
- 15:18Tammy Green Mitchell: A realization you can only reach on a cushion is a vacation.
- 15:23Tammy Green Mitchell: Bring it into the parking lot.
- 15:25Tammy Green Mitchell: Bring it into the hard conversation.
- 15:28Tammy Green Mitchell: The old alchemist called what comes out the stone.
- 15:32Tammy Green Mitchell: It will feel unnatural, unknown, sometimes frightening.
- 15:37Tammy Green Mitchell: Do it anyway.
- 15:39Tammy Green Mitchell: Practice at your worst.
- 15:41Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll get shaken. You'll stay standing.
- 15:46Tammy Green Mitchell: Part 7, the integration.
- 15:49Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll quit pushing.
- 15:51Tammy Green Mitchell: You'll surrender to not knowing.
- 15:53Tammy Green Mitchell: Strangers will tell you their lives in the checkout line.
- 15:57Tammy Green Mitchell: The room will settle when you walk in.
- 16:00Tammy Green Mitchell: You will be the one calm person at a tent's table.
- 16:05Tammy Green Mitchell: Some people will wake up around you. Some will leave. You'll remain. You'll stay standing.
- 16:12Tammy Green Mitchell: You will become the catalyst that effortlessly transmutes the lead of the world into gold.
- 16:20Tammy Green Mitchell: Walk back in.
- 16:22Tammy Green Mitchell: Same house, same kitchen.
- 16:24Tammy Green Mitchell: The stranger is gone.
- 16:26Tammy Green Mitchell: Sit down.
- 16:28Tammy Green Mitchell: You live here now.
- 16:32Tammy Green Mitchell: I am Captain.
- 16:36Lori Walpole: Wow, Tammy.
- 16:40Lori Walpole: That is so beautiful.
- 16:43Lori Walpole: And I will say that I've experienced all of those, and I'm continuing to experience, because like you said.
- 16:52Lori Walpole: It's not all in order.
- 16:55Lori Walpole: Some things, and we've talked about this before, but some things are layered. Like, you think you've worked through something, and then bam, something gets set in a closet.
- 17:05Tammy Green Mitchell: Small.
- 17:06Lori Walpole: sudden, Everything comes kind of swirling back up to look at again.
- 17:12Tammy Green Mitchell: Absolutely.
- 17:14Lori Walpole: And.
- 17:16Lori Walpole: And we all grow in our, at our own pace. We all
- 17:21Lori Walpole: Process things at our own pace.
- 17:25Lori Walpole: We all…
- 17:28Lori Walpole: I love the part where you talked about the dark night of the soul and you mentioned, you know.
- 17:35Lori Walpole: Having someone there with you.
- 17:37Lori Walpole: And I know for me, I felt very lonely.
- 17:43Lori Walpole: Very misunderstood, not seen.
- 17:48Lori Walpole: And I found myself, you know, looking for comfort kind of in different places, but not going to find someone new to help fill a hole inside of me.
- 17:59Lori Walpole: But it was basically, you know, being online, I might be on Facebook, or I might be reading a book, or I might be listening to a podcast, and it could be that not everything resonated with me, but there was something in there for me, some beautiful message that just helped me
- 18:19Lori Walpole: Maybe stop and look and take a moment.
- 18:23Lori Walpole: And allow that in.
- 18:30Lori Walpole: And the releasing, oh my goodness, the releasing and the allowing of loving myself.
- 18:38Lori Walpole: was huge, and that, for me, that was probably one of the biggest processes for me. Because, like you, growing up, I was the peacekeeper, I was the one who felt like I had to make everyone okay around me, which meant I gave all of myself away.
- 18:56Lori Walpole: And that's how my life looked. I mean, I taught the world how to treat me based on my survival mechanism from childhood.
- 19:09Lori Walpole: And I find myself in a very different place today for, you know.
- 19:14Lori Walpole: releasing… What I don't have to hold.
- 19:19Lori Walpole: because a lot of what I was carrying with me was not even mine to hold.
- 19:26Lori Walpole: You know, other people, yes, maybe they're in part of their dark night of their soul, and they're sharing, you know, things with me, and instead of me just witnessing and being there for them, and holding loving, beautiful space for them just to release what they're needing to speak out.
- 19:44Lori Walpole: to release from their body, I would internalize it, or it would attach itself to me and my energetic field.
- 19:52Lori Walpole: And I had not… I didn't understand at that point that it just wasn't mine, I didn't have to hold it.
- 20:01Lori Walpole: And with understanding, we don't have to hold what's not ours. That is so freeing.
- 20:08Lori Walpole: And we can consciously speak out.
- 20:13Lori Walpole: That we no longer have to hold that. We can release that, we can give it back to Source.
- 20:19Lori Walpole: It can be returned to the person if that's what's appropriate. I prefer to return it to, you know, just return it back to source, and for that energy to go to where it needs to go for its next place.
- 20:31Lori Walpole: But I don't have to hold it anymore.
- 20:37Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 20:38Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah, I mean, all of these are things that I've walked through in the last year, and…
- 20:45Tammy Green Mitchell: All of it resonates, and I just remember feeling So.
- 20:55Tammy Green Mitchell: Like I was in a void.
- 20:57Tammy Green Mitchell: Like, I can't find anything…
- 21:01Tammy Green Mitchell: solid to ground into, and all I wanted was familiar. Like, I wanted something familiar. I wanted something cozy. I wanted something that makes me feel safe.
- 21:18Tammy Green Mitchell: and And I I guess historically I have been that one who makes me feel safe.
- 21:29Tammy Green Mitchell: And I couldn't seem to lock in anywhere to do that.
- 21:34Tammy Green Mitchell: And the whole quit… quit grabbing things out of the flames, oh my gosh!
- 21:42Tammy Green Mitchell: Like, what is so difficult about letting it all burn? Just let it burn.
- 21:50Tammy Green Mitchell: you know, you and I have talked about this personally, but my keyword
- 21:54Tammy Green Mitchell: My mantra for the last month has been trust.
- 21:59Tammy Green Mitchell: and Every time I find myself in this frame of mind where I'm full of fear, or Hmm.
- 22:11Tammy Green Mitchell: anxious, or…
- 22:16Tammy Green Mitchell: floating in a void, ungrounded.
- 22:20Tammy Green Mitchell: The word keeps coming up. Okay, well, do you need to control it, or do you? Can you trust it? Can you just trust
- 22:29Tammy Green Mitchell: As a child, my whole safety depended on what I could control.
- 22:34Tammy Green Mitchell: And, like you said, I brought that into adulthood, and it worked for me for a great period of my life. It worked for me. There were times that it didn't work for me.
- 22:46Tammy Green Mitchell: in times when I could have practiced trust a little more gracefully.
- 22:50Tammy Green Mitchell: But It It never It never. Oh, what am I trying to say?
- 23:02Tammy Green Mitchell: Here, in the last year, none of it has been working.
- 23:07Tammy Green Mitchell: And it's been such a, Reflection.
- 23:16Tammy Green Mitchell: such a… revolution inside of me.
- 23:22Tammy Green Mitchell: There have been moments, literally.
- 23:25Tammy Green Mitchell: in the last few weeks where I found myself curled into a fetal position, and crying, and wondering if this is what it actually feels like when you lose your mind. Like, I've really wondered, is this…
- 23:40Tammy Green Mitchell: Is this what it feels like when your mind finally snaps in and there's nothing?
- 23:47Tammy Green Mitchell: and every bit of that is me reaching back in for familiarity, for things that I know that
- 23:59Tammy Green Mitchell: make me feel like I'm in control.
- 24:04Tammy Green Mitchell: So… This writing was… was really birthed from my heart and… and my soul, and…
- 24:15Tammy Green Mitchell: The whole, you know…
- 24:18Tammy Green Mitchell: Freezing your beliefs, freezing what you… Think about, and the way that you think things ought to be.
- 24:28Tammy Green Mitchell: And when it begins to thaw, yes, it becomes messy. And I can understand how people could be afraid of the thaw.
- 24:37Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, everything that we were taught to depend on, everything that we were taught is solid and
- 24:44Tammy Green Mitchell: is lasting and foundational. You know, the things we could really stand on are coming into question.
- 24:54Tammy Green Mitchell: And I can understand how disorienting that might be for many, many people.
- 25:02Tammy Green Mitchell: It is for me.
- 25:04Tammy Green Mitchell: So I can definitely understand that. And honestly, that has been one of the things that has helped me
- 25:13Tammy Green Mitchell: So much. You and I started this process
- 25:19Tammy Green Mitchell: Almost a year ago, really.
- 25:22Tammy Green Mitchell: And…
- 25:25Tammy Green Mitchell: Our whole premise was that we were going to show others that you can come together, you can be united with people who may have completely different beliefs than you, or maybe on opposite ends of the political spectrum, or maybe have different… whatever.
- 25:44Tammy Green Mitchell: The point was that you can still love someone
- 25:49Tammy Green Mitchell: You can still find the areas where You are united.
- 25:56Tammy Green Mitchell: in spite of all the areas where you are at. And I feel like…
- 26:02Tammy Green Mitchell: Our current society, our current media, our current, Social media.
- 26:10Tammy Green Mitchell: Everything that is aimed at us really hammers home the division. You know, it really promotes the division, and it really incites anger.
- 26:23Tammy Green Mitchell: the whole Everything on social media incites anger, on both sides, you know? And for me, that's…
- 26:32Tammy Green Mitchell: that's sort of the biggest clue now. If… if I read something, or watch a video, or listen to something, and it immediately makes me feel angry.
- 26:42Tammy Green Mitchell: Well, I know right then that
- 26:45Tammy Green Mitchell: I've just been had, right? I've just played into the whole game.
- 26:50Tammy Green Mitchell: And so, that's when I know I get to take a break again, and I get to focus on things that.
- 26:56Tammy Green Mitchell: Make me feel connected to people instead of disconnected.
- 27:02Tammy Green Mitchell: And there's never anyone who is… under me.
- 27:07Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, there's never… There's never… I don't need to punch down to feel okay about myself.
- 27:16Tammy Green Mitchell: I don't need to punch up either. I don't need to punch at all.
- 27:20Tammy Green Mitchell: Just feel like… When I can recognize that others have gifts that I may not have.
- 27:28Tammy Green Mitchell: And I can appreciate that, then everything opens up for me, and everything becomes possible for me.
- 27:36Tammy Green Mitchell: And I feel good again.
- 27:39Tammy Green Mitchell: Because that's the thing I miss when I'm… when I'm on an emotional rollercoaster, when I'm struggling so hard to be in control, when I really feel like I need to…
- 27:52Tammy Green Mitchell: Have my arms wrapped around whatever is happening.
- 27:56Tammy Green Mitchell: I don't feel good. It doesn't feel good, and…
- 28:03Tammy Green Mitchell: That's what I like to get back to is the feeling good part.
- 28:08Lori Walpole: Yeah, and we know we're not gonna feel good in all the moments. I mean, part of being here is, you know, we get to experience the really big highs, the lows, all the different layers of emotions.
- 28:23Lori Walpole: But we also get to process those through, and we get to learn from those, and we don't have to hold them forever.
- 28:31Lori Walpole: And our bodies are so amazing because they do protect us. They have protected us through life.
- 28:38Lori Walpole: And we'll hold that emotion in, and it can manifest as, you know, some sort of illness, or…
- 28:46Lori Walpole: dis-ease, because the body is in dis-ease because of potentially a message coming from your soul, emotions that have been held within the body.
- 28:57Lori Walpole: And when I say a message coming from your soul, it's something to look at, you know, something to look at, to process, to move through, and people may not be aware that that's what's happening.
- 29:10Lori Walpole: I know during QHHT sessions or other sessions that I do.
- 29:16Lori Walpole: I've seen times where There's something happening in the body that's actually coming through from a past life.
- 29:24Lori Walpole: It's not even from this incarnation.
- 29:30Lori Walpole: And it's like, wow, I mean, I'm holding this from a past life, and it's like, is it even your own past life, or was it someone else's in your family line? It could be.
- 29:40Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 29:40Lori Walpole: Sometimes what comes through is a past life for the person, but sometimes it's just that generational, you know, what I'm gonna call karma, trauma, pain that's passed through the line.
- 29:53Lori Walpole: And at some point, somebody has to look at it.
- 29:57Lori Walpole: And sit with it, and allow it to pass through.
- 30:02Lori Walpole: And that's not easy work.
- 30:06Tammy Green Mitchell: No, it's not. And I believe that there are people like us that chose to come here to be cycle breakers, to do that in…
- 30:15Tammy Green Mitchell: In the shamanic training that I've had, we too learn that things that manifest as physical ailments that are genetic or handed down.
- 30:27Tammy Green Mitchell: Usually can be traced back to some sort of malady in… in your ancestral line, in your lineage. For example, you know, heart disease that manifests in your family today.
- 30:41Tammy Green Mitchell: Could be traced back to someone being stabbed in the heart.
- 30:46Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, many, many, many generations ago. And that's how it keeps manifesting. And again.
- 30:54Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, as children, we…
- 30:57Tammy Green Mitchell: we automatically process emotions immediately. We feel sad, we scream and cry. We feel anger, we scream and cry.
- 31:06Tammy Green Mitchell: We… whatever we feel, we process it immediately as children. And somewhere along the way, when we become adults, we learn to suppress that. We learn that it's… it's not professional to cry.
- 31:21Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, Hope and I actually joke about this, but, you know, we were used to hearing the phrase as children, you better quit that crying, or I'm gonna give you something to cry about.
- 31:35Lori Walpole: Oh, yeah.
- 31:35Tammy Green Mitchell: And so we learn to suppress that emotion.
- 31:39Tammy Green Mitchell: We learn…
- 31:41Tammy Green Mitchell: When we hear something funny, if we're not in a correct setting, we learn to suppress that, you know, instead of laugh.
- 31:49Tammy Green Mitchell: And at some point, you're right, those emotions take hold in your body, and every emotion has an organ that it translates to.
- 32:00Tammy Green Mitchell: And sometimes, too much of it or enough of it will create a physical malady associated with it. And, you know.
- 32:13Tammy Green Mitchell: As someone who worked in the medical field for a little while, I get that this all sounds really woo-woo and, you know, blah blah blah, and yada yada. But you know, there's room for all of it.
- 32:28Tammy Green Mitchell: That's not to say that spiritual training or
- 32:33Tammy Green Mitchell: spiritual beliefs, or a belief in
- 32:39Tammy Green Mitchell: the origin of a malady is taking the place of medicine, or, you know, I think there is a place for all of it, and when we approach it with the right intention.
- 32:55Tammy Green Mitchell: And we have someone who… Really has the heart of a caregiver who wants.
- 33:03Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, someone to feel better, that there's room for all of it.
- 33:07Tammy Green Mitchell: There's so much distrust in Western medicine right now, rightfully so, rightfully so, as someone who worked in it.
- 33:18Tammy Green Mitchell: And…
- 33:19Tammy Green Mitchell: And it's easy to see… You know, that our system in the U.S, specifically for healthcare, is not really health care.
- 33:31Tammy Green Mitchell: It is a system.
- 33:33Lori Walpole: Okay.
- 33:35Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah, it's symptom maintenance, really. There's no profit in curing people.
- 33:42Tammy Green Mitchell: So, Rightfully so, there is a great deal of distrust.
- 33:48Tammy Green Mitchell: And… At some point, we have to…
- 33:55Tammy Green Mitchell: Reach a point together as a society where we make room for all of it, where we consider things maybe that we haven't considered before.
- 34:05Tammy Green Mitchell: where…
- 34:07Tammy Green Mitchell: We get to the point to say, you know, well, this medicine is great, and this plant medicine does the exact same thing. So, which is better? I mean…
- 34:17Lori Walpole: the side effects.
- 34:19Tammy Green Mitchell: Right.
- 34:20Tammy Green Mitchell: So which is better? Or this plant medicine may work in conjunction with this medication. You know, I don't have all the answers to that, but I feel like there is…
- 34:33Tammy Green Mitchell: A space where all of… everything that we've learned, when we take away the greed profit motive from it.
- 34:42Tammy Green Mitchell: Has a place to really be beneficial to people in general.
- 34:49Lori Walpole: Yeah, and I think too, Tammy, even at just an individual level, you know, we get the opportunity to, we, I know I looked up one day and just had a breakdown looking at, you know, how inflamed my body was, how much.
- 35:05Lori Walpole: Extra pound extra pounds and weight I was holding in my body just from, you know, all the years of pain, all the years of not.
- 35:17Lori Walpole: taking care of my temple, my body, my vessel, how I…
- 35:23Lori Walpole: how I get to experience this world.
- 35:26Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 35:27Lori Walpole: And I mean, I was conditioned since birth, and my mom did her best. My mom was one of those moms who actually did read ingredients, and…
- 35:34Lori Walpole: You know, didn't bring home as much ultra processed foods as some others have experienced, and probably my own daughter through me raising her. Yes, I had fruit there, but oh my goodness, she still loves some cheese noodles because sometimes that was easy at night to fix that and a bowl of strawberries.
- 35:50Lori Walpole: So…
- 35:51Lori Walpole: you know, I'm not perfect in all of it either, but I came to a point where I just had to surrender and ask for the help, and I felt, you know, my own soul finally saying, yes!
- 36:08Lori Walpole: fast!
- 36:09Lori Walpole: You've got to stop this and this and this. You know, it took me down my path on my journey, and I've been on that journey for years, and I am still.
- 36:18Lori Walpole: On that journey, I don't know that it will ever end.
- 36:22Lori Walpole: But through that process, you know, I put down the pharmaceuticals, I put down the liquor, I stopped eating beef, I stopped eating pork. I then, you know, the sodas went out of my life. The, then the seltzers that I was still, you know, all of it. And now in the past few months, I have fully put eating meat behind me, and that is a very vibrational thing for me.
- 36:46Lori Walpole: because of you know how I mean, are our animals meant to be slaughtered and eaten.
- 36:54Lori Walpole: I mean, there…
- 36:55Lori Walpole: They're conscious beings, too. They just experience this world in a different way, and I don't have all the answers. I don't know, it's how that feels to me.
- 37:04Lori Walpole: and I know people will say, well, everything has consciousness. You know the the vegetables, the fruit, all of that I'm like. Well, but it still grows. It grows a whole new batch of fruit the next year it falls from the tree.
- 37:17Tammy Green Mitchell: Right.
- 37:18Lori Walpole: And then also it has, you know, through all of the research and also testing with my own body, how it makes me feel when I eat a piece of fruit versus eating something ultra processed. I mean, I can feel it in my body these days.
- 37:33Lori Walpole: And I'm to the point that I really want to allow my own soul to be fully embodied here.
- 37:42Lori Walpole: Not looking to leave this place, not looking for someone to come in and rescue me. I want to fully embody, and I want that for everyone to fully embody in themselves. And consciously move through this world.
- 37:58Lori Walpole: Because we get to choose.
- 38:01Lori Walpole: We get to choose all of it, and all of it matters.
- 38:06Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 38:08Lori Walpole: And I.
- 38:09Tammy Green Mitchell: Sharing about your your personal health journey.
- 38:15Lori Walpole: Sure, yeah. So, and I know I've shared some of it before, but in…
- 38:20Lori Walpole: November 30, th 2019. At this point in my life I had found myself
- 38:26Lori Walpole: I've had a couple of pretty… what I'm sure, I guess people would think was pretty radical surgeries at that point. November 30th of 2019, my father passed away. Prior to that.
- 38:38Lori Walpole: I guess it was December… November or December of 2018, I ended up having…
- 38:44Lori Walpole: I had had a partial hysterectomy prior, ended up having the rest of that done with a little bit of other work.
- 38:51Lori Walpole: Found myself out of work, and then after that, I had a full mastectomy without having breast cancer because, yeah.
- 39:00Lori Walpole: My mother had received a diagnosis of being BRCA2 positive.
- 39:07Lori Walpole: which is a gene mutation which you know. Now, there's all these gene mutations. And what have you? But we don't understand what that is. I mean, what is a gene mutation?
- 39:16Lori Walpole: However, at that point, I, was going with
- 39:22Lori Walpole: making decisions based on the best information I had for me, and also the trust I had in Western medicine and the allopathic medicine system. So I opted to do the full hysterectomy.
- 39:33Lori Walpole: and then follow up with a double mastectomy with reconstruction. And let me tell you, my husband was pretty sad that I chose to do that, because, you know, my body
- 39:44Lori Walpole: was fine. I didn't have breast cancer, so I felt like I made that choice from fear.
- 39:51Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 39:52Lori Walpole: However, I've not worn a bra in almost 7 years. No, almost 8 years.
- 40:01Lori Walpole: Yeah, almost 8 years, you know, I have to count on that.
- 40:03Lori Walpole: You know, I'm counting on my fingers. So that in itself is a positive, because I like to find the positive in everything. There's always something, you know, there, pretty much, that we can find something positive. So I made those choices.
- 40:17Lori Walpole: And I kind of started working on my health. I was kind of working out, doing some things. I was still taking all my meds. Let's see, I took.
- 40:26Lori Walpole: I took… I started out with Lexapro, which was an antidepressant back
- 40:31Lori Walpole: I don't know, when we were still in Memphis, I had really extreme PMDD, and I didn't know at the time that that was really a symptom of toxicity in my body, because the way I was feeding my body. I didn't understand that back then.
- 40:48Lori Walpole: So I thought, okay, I'll take this med, and let's see what happens. Well, yeah, it helped.
- 40:53Lori Walpole: I mean, I started not really caring about as much. I started, you know, I'm gonna call myself a little bit of a zombie through that process.
- 41:01Lori Walpole: So my husband ended up,
- 41:04Lori Walpole: He got laid off from work. He ended up finding work up here where we are now in Nashville as a contractor, and so I found myself almost like feeling like a single parent to a high schooler because he worked up here. He was gone 3 to 4 nights a week.
- 41:22Lori Walpole: 4 to 5 nights a week, whatever, 3 to 5 nights a week.
- 41:26Lori Walpole: And so, work was very, very stressful, and then I found myself starting to have really bad migraines, and I ended up in the ER, and my blood pressure was way up.
- 41:38Lori Walpole: And the doctor, or the nurse, she's like, oh, you have high blood pressure. And I went, I do not have high blood pressure.
- 41:45Lori Walpole: I said, it's from the… it's from the migraines, it's from my stress, it's from, you know, the pain, the… it won't go away. I'm upset, I'm frustrated.
- 41:56Lori Walpole: And they gave me a little something to calm me down, and by the time I left the hospital, it was like 115 over 70-something, and she goes, I have never seen that happen. I said, I told you I didn't have high blood pressure.
- 42:07Tammy Green Mitchell: Anyway.
- 42:08Lori Walpole: That was kind of funny. So going down my path.
- 42:13Lori Walpole: you know, I got on the amitriptyline, and then… so I'm on those two meds. We end up moving here, David finds this doctor, and this doctor had great intentions. He could tell he was a good man, he loved his patients, he took time with us.
- 42:27Lori Walpole: I'm very grateful for, you know, having an experience with a doctor who actually did that. But he was pretty quick to write a script. I mean, I ended up on a statin.
- 42:38Lori Walpole: I ended up on an anti-acid medicine.
- 42:42Lori Walpole: that I didn't take all the time, but I ended up on that. I ended up getting a prescription for Klonopin for anxiety.
- 42:51Lori Walpole: So I've… I'm on all these scripts.
- 42:54Lori Walpole: And, I slowly start gaining weight. Of course, I'm still drinking alcohol, because that had been in my life for many years, since college.
- 43:03Lori Walpole: alcohol and I really didn't start start really heavily drinking, though, until probably
- 43:11Lori Walpole: After my divorce from my first husband.
- 43:14Lori Walpole: And when I say heavily, I mean
- 43:17Lori Walpole: not every night, but once my second husband and I married, I would have one or probably one or two drinks a night, because, I mean, that's what he did, to relax after work. And then on the weekends, you know, it was on on the weekends. We played hard, and that's what we did. And I mean, we had fun through all of that, don't get me wrong. It was a good time.
- 43:37Lori Walpole: I love who I was through all of that. I was doing my absolute best.
- 43:42Lori Walpole: So, I'd had the hysterectomy, I'd had the double mastectomy reconstruction. I found myself in the hospital for a week after I had my breast implants put in.
- 43:53Lori Walpole: And… for a week from colitis, I had a colitis flare-up, and I'm like, what's going on here?
- 44:01Lori Walpole: And I had this, I don't know, some doctor walk through
- 44:06Lori Walpole: Through my door one day and came and talked to me and he wasn't like my regular doctor or anything and he asked me he goes.
- 44:14Lori Walpole: Do you take ibuprofen? And I said, yes, I take ibuprofen all the time, so let's add that one to the list. That's just over-the-counter. I said, I take it for my knee, for inflammation in my knee from old softball injury, where I've had a couple surgeries, and it flares up.
- 44:29Lori Walpole: Not understanding that inflammation is from the toxicity in my body at this point, so… but he made the comment to me, he goes, ibuprofen can really wreck your gut.
- 44:42Lori Walpole: It can really get it all out of bat. And that moment, I never took ibuprofen again after that, and I never had another colitis flare up.
- 44:52Lori Walpole: I did not. And I'm like, Okay, well, there might be a little something to that.
- 44:57Lori Walpole: So, fast forward just a little bit, that was, like, in June. In November of 2019, my father passed. That was…
- 45:05Lori Walpole: That was tough. And so, through that process.
- 45:10Lori Walpole: That happened, a co-worker had left, I ended up with double work for a little bit, and so I was just like, oh my god, what's happening? And I was just barely surviving.
- 45:20Lori Walpole: I started going and getting, like, a biscuit from Chick-fil-A every morning with some hash browns and a large Diet Coke, because, you know, the medium one wasn't big enough, and we know… I mean, I know now what diet sodas that artificial sweetener does to the body. It wreaks havoc on the brain, your body, the signals.
- 45:40Lori Walpole: It's just very, very toxic.
- 45:43Lori Walpole: So I was doing that, not eating well, still drinking. I ballooned up to 192 pounds.
- 45:50Lori Walpole: on a 5 foot 3 frame.
- 45:54Lori Walpole: Heavy. So it.
- 45:57Lori Walpole: And, I found myself at… it was, like, October?
- 46:02Lori Walpole: And I just scouted right out.
- 46:05Lori Walpole: And I just said, you know, God, I need help. I can't do this anymore. I need help.
- 46:12Lori Walpole: And I just, it was almost like a dam opened.
- 46:18Lori Walpole: And it's like the message came through loud and clear. You have to stop your meds and you have to stop alcohol now.
- 46:26Lori Walpole: Okay.
- 46:28Lori Walpole: Okay.
- 46:29Lori Walpole: Or, and there was no… or, you're not gonna be here.
- 46:34Lori Walpole: And I went, well, I want to be here.
- 46:38Lori Walpole: And so I did.
- 46:40Lori Walpole: And when I stopped the meds, it took a little bit.
- 46:45Lori Walpole: But the inflammation flared up in my knee so bad because the signals weren't the inflammation was always there. The meds were blocking the signal to let me know you've got major inflammation. I could, I found myself unable to walk.
- 47:03Lori Walpole: So I ended up in an orthopedics office. They told me I was going to need a knee replacement surgery at 48. I said, no, no, no, I'm not ready for that. What else can I do?
- 47:15Lori Walpole: And they said, well, you can go have these gel shots, which I found out were hyaluronic acid, which is really good for joints. And it was a round of three, and you can start some PT. And so I did.
- 47:30Lori Walpole: During this time I also found myself after stopping all the Meds which I did cold turkey, which I don't
- 47:38Lori Walpole: Recommend that to anyone.
- 47:40Tammy Green Mitchell: Right.
- 47:42Lori Walpole: Ever.
- 47:43Lori Walpole: Having a constant, a very bad headache for 6 to 8 weeks on top of the inflammation firing in my body.
- 47:51Lori Walpole: I mean, almost to the point that
- 47:53Lori Walpole: You know, I I couldn't sleep.
- 47:56Lori Walpole: I, you know, I was just barely making it through the days, but, and my husband kept saying, just take a little bit, and I'm like, I'm not taking anything ever again. You don't understand how I won't ever take it again, ever.
- 48:10Lori Walpole: And so, that's kind of when my journey started. I started with the PT, I started my diet changes, I had stopped the alcohol. I'd stopped the alcohol for a few months. I thought, you know what, I'm gonna try it again, because, you know, I wasn't having withdrawals from the alcohol. It was because…
- 48:28Lori Walpole: I knew it was from the meds, it was from the influence. And maybe I was, maybe I was. I didn't have the shakes, I didn't have, you know, some of the other symptoms that go along with with you know removing alcohol.
- 48:40Lori Walpole: So, I,
- 48:43Lori Walpole: I just… I just pushed through it. And then, when I started feeling better, I was fortunately at a place that, where I was working, they had a little gym, so I started exercising, and then I started slowly making dietary changes.
- 48:58Lori Walpole: And I was just kind of being guided by myself all the way through. I also, then, you know, COVID hit, and so, you know, everything shut down.
- 49:08Lori Walpole: I was no longer having what I'm going to call the distractions that were in my life that were pulling
- 49:14Lori Walpole: I say pulling from me, but I was actually just giving my energy away to those things, like going to all the football games, going to hockey games, going to concerts, going to all these things that, you know, the alcohol was always there. A lot of food, gluttony, all of it was there. And I found myself in a space where I was really sitting on my back porch with myself.
- 49:37Lori Walpole: And that's when I started allowing, you know, the emotional healing to start.
- 49:44Lori Walpole: Along with still, you know, all of the dietary. So, I mean, I'm kind of going along this for years.
- 49:51Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 49:51Lori Walpole: And the dietary changes, it was kind of slow.
- 49:55Lori Walpole: You know, it's felt like it was a lot at first, and then I just kind of let my body acclimate to that.
- 50:00Lori Walpole: And then something else would come through, like, okay, it's time to put this down.
- 50:05Lori Walpole: Okay.
- 50:06Lori Walpole: I put that down. Like, for me, I think liquor may have been, 21 was the last time I actually drank liquor or spirits, you know, the hard liquor. And then the summer of 22 was the last time I drank a seltzer, because we were out on the boat, and I was still, you know, doing those things. And I will tell you, though.
- 50:24Lori Walpole: Once I removed all of that, once I turned off the TV too, turned off the fucking programming.
- 50:33Lori Walpole: Because I know people think, oh, I'm watching it, you know, it's just in the background, what have you, and we were doing that too, but there is programming in all of it. I mean, the sports, it's all about what you were speaking to earlier about the unity. It's all about us versus them, everybody's own individual team, when at the end of the day, there's only one team that gets to win.
- 50:55Lori Walpole: Which I think is somewhat scripted, but that's Lori logic, which, you know, Lori logic is Lori logic. We're all allowed to have our own.
- 51:03Lori Walpole: And I'm not saying it's scripted at like, you know, peewee level or whatever that's called, or maybe even high school, but at the bigger levels, I mean, you've got all the same plays. Who's calling in the plays?
- 51:16Lori Walpole: Who's really making the money?
- 51:18Lori Walpole: Who's taking all the energy? We are feeding that energy. And and honestly, Tammy, all of that, and I'm I'm getting a little sidetracked, but all of that matrix is what I'm gonna call it. I mean, it's a it's a big matrix that gets fed from a lot of different levels.
- 51:37Lori Walpole: And I feel like for us, the start is taking back
- 51:42Lori Walpole: Our own power into ourselves, cleaning up our vessels.
- 51:47Lori Walpole: Cleaning up what we give our attention to.
- 51:53Lori Walpole: holding space for others to allow them to go through the process, too, because like you've mentioned before, Tammy, we're all just wounded souls walking around here trying to figure out why we're even here, because we don't remember why we've come here.
- 52:11Lori Walpole: But we're all here together.
- 52:14Lori Walpole: Let's love each other! Let's just hold space, because, you know, what I believed a year ago, I may not believe fully today.
- 52:24Lori Walpole: because I'm allowed to change when something else is presented to me, and it's like.
- 52:29Lori Walpole: Oh, you know, that didn't maybe resonate with me a year ago. It does now. Let me look at that a little more. Let me just not shut that away.
- 52:39Lori Walpole: And honestly, I believe this world
- 52:43Lori Walpole: works at a frequency level. There's all different kinds of frequencies here, frequency bandwidths of, you know, our thoughts, or what we're presented with.
- 52:54Lori Walpole: And we get to when we walk in our truth, when we walk in what's in front of us, we're we look at what's in front of us.
- 53:05Lori Walpole: And we're not holding what's behind us, dragging that heaviness with us, of stuff that's not with us today.
- 53:13Lori Walpole: That's causing us to fear the stuff that's not with us today.
- 53:18Lori Walpole: And just being here and now.
- 53:23Lori Walpole: We really get to walk our path. And if something pops up and it's triggering, it's like, okay, that's here for a reason.
- 53:32Lori Walpole: Maybe I need to look at that a little bit harder, or a little bit longer. Step back, take a moment.
- 53:39Lori Walpole: Before I react.
- 53:42Lori Walpole: So.
- 53:43Tammy Green Mitchell: Keyword is being able and having the presence of mind to do that. For me.
- 53:49Lori Walpole: It is, but Tammy, it is a process, and you and I both know we are human, and we are going to continue to have those things pop up, and we…
- 54:01Lori Walpole: We just get to do better than we did maybe yesterday, and we may not have a perfect day, and we get to allow grace for ourselves. Yeah. And be like, you know what? It's okay.
- 54:13Lori Walpole: I'm okay, they're okay, we're okay. And if we need to have a conversation, let's just have a conversation and talk about it.
- 54:20Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 54:21Tammy Green Mitchell: Agreed, agreed. It's… that flash of emotion for me hits so quickly, and…
- 54:29Tammy Green Mitchell: And yes, there are times when I can have the presence of mind to say, whoa, where did that come from, and what's happening, and, you know, sit back for a minute. And sometimes, it's just immediate tears. Like, it's just, boom, and it's on me.
- 54:43Tammy Green Mitchell: And, yeah, I agree, and I think that's beautiful. The part where we get to have grace with each other.
- 54:52Lori Walpole: And for sales.
- 54:55Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 54:56Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 54:57Tammy Green Mitchell: with ourselves.
- 55:00Tammy Green Mitchell: That, yes, I'm so much quicker to offer that to someone else than I am to myself.
- 55:08Tammy Green Mitchell: And I want to be better at that.
- 55:13Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 55:14Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 55:15Lori Walpole: Yeah, because you get to give yourself unconditional love, too. I know we talk about unconditional love, and we think that's just for others, but it's for us, too.
- 55:25Lori Walpole: We get to love ourselves, too.
- 55:29Tammy Green Mitchell: It is, and… and you're right, we are all here, we just have a…
- 55:34Tammy Green Mitchell: Been able to remember yet why we came here.
- 55:38Tammy Green Mitchell: You know, and we just.
- 55:40Lori Walpole: of it. Had we remembered, I mean, what fun is that? What fun is that if you know the answers in the ending? Because…
- 55:50Lori Walpole: I mean, when I read a good book, or when I do watch something on, you know, a sci-fi movie or something on TV, because I do still like me a little bit of entertainment. I haven't, you know, every once in a while, it's kind of nice and fun, and…
- 56:04Lori Walpole: You know, you watch it the first time, and it's… it's really exciting, and you know, you're not sure what's coming, and then the second time, you know what's coming, and you know, it's still okay, but the third time, it's like, ugh.
- 56:16Lori Walpole: You know?
- 56:17Lori Walpole: Yeah. So I don't know that we're supposed to know. I think that's part of our journey, is to uncover that, and…
- 56:23Lori Walpole: You know, we get to leave the world a little better than
- 56:29Lori Walpole: what we came into. We get to choose to do that. I love the movie The NeverEnding Story. I love the name of it, because I feel like where we are here, you know, we talk about
- 56:39Lori Walpole: You'll hear people talk about 5D Earth, 3D Earth, you know, the split, da-da. And I mean, I do feel like there's frequency splits and that there are people who are seeing very different realities today. But underneath it all, it's still just a never-ending story.
- 56:57Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 56:58Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah, that's true.
- 56:59Lori Walpole: And we're all characters in this story. Kind of like the Truman Show, we're character, we don't know we're a character in here. And we overlap, and we're living our lives. And maybe there's some people who do know their characters. I didn't know that.
- 57:15Lori Walpole: And it's not like I have a script coming in to memorize or anything, but…
- 57:21Lori Walpole: you know. But yeah, we're players here. And how are you going to show up? How do you want to play? I want to play the best I can, which means I've got to clean my vessel.
- 57:31Lori Walpole: I get to, you know, continue to clear whatever I'm holding. I get to continue to allow whatever comes up to move through me.
- 57:41Lori Walpole: And one of my favorite things I get to do is I get to hold space with people.
- 57:47Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 57:48Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 57:49Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 57:51Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah.
- 57:53Tammy Green Mitchell: I want to experience it all.
- 57:56Tammy Green Mitchell: I want to leave this timeline and go into the next, whatever that looks like, knowing that I didn't miss a drop of it.
- 58:06Tammy Green Mitchell: I want to slide into home plate and get all the…
- 58:12Tammy Green Mitchell: dirt on my pants. Like, I want to live it.
- 58:16Tammy Green Mitchell: And when I can get outside of me long enough to do that.
- 58:21Tammy Green Mitchell: It's a really good day.
- 58:26Lori Walpole: and it's almost like the path is opened in front of you, and it's like it's just glowing, waiting for you to walk through it.
- 58:33Tammy Green Mitchell: Yeah, absolutely.
- 58:36Tammy Green Mitchell: Well, we are about to the end of our time. I don't know how these hours just fly by when we're together, but I love it.
- 58:44Lori Walpole: Yeah.
- 58:46Lori Walpole: Me too, Tammy, me too.
- 58:48Tammy Green Mitchell: So.
- 58:49Tammy Green Mitchell: Thank you so much. Thank you to our viewers who are going to watch this, and we'll see you next week with the next episode.
