- 0:02[SPEAKER_03]: It is Monday morning.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome guy here and going out tonight as practice today.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_03]: They've got a noon practice.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_03]: They've shifted practice a little bit later noon today and then off to V. Practice tomorrow and then off to Vegas on Wednesday and join practice with the Raiders on Thursday.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: And I think it's going to be a morning practice because, you know, it's going to be, it's going to be a hot.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's the plan for the week.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Producer Connor Collins is in the middle of a move.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_03]: End of an era.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: He's leaving.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_03]: his apartment, San Francisco, but he made some time.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'll bring him in here in a second because we got some stuff, some Q&A, some reactions.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: And I think he's to the week against the Raiders.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_03]: To me, the biggest thing this week, and I want to get to something specific from the last game that goes into practice and goes into the next week, which is Nick Martin.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_03]: But I think the highlight of this week is Nick Martin and D. Winners.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: and Brock Bowers and Ashton Gentie.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's one of the things that is at the very top of the list.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think anybody from the first preseason game that flashed a little bit that did some good things that had some opportunity.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever it is, guys, you're going to rely on like Alfred Collins, like CJ West, like Jordan Watkins, right?
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty easy to tell who some of these guys are.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: Nick Martin will become one.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: There's no doubt.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: is we talk about like through the preseason of the regular season, the development of Nick Martin.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think one thing is clear, there is no question at some point he's going to play meaningful snaps this year.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_03]: There's just, just look at the linebacker depth chart, it's D-Martin, D-Winters, Fred Warner, Luke I've heard.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Luke I've heard probably not familiar to most people play a lot of football, like there are guys
- 1:51[SPEAKER_03]: The stars is what sells the league.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: The backbone of the league, guys, who play six, seven, eight years, who are heroes at their high school program, are on the wall in their college program, your average NFL fan may not know.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: And myself included, like I'm on the couch, you're not like, oh, Seran Neal, number thirty three for the Niners.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: What's his deal?
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, been in the league like nine years, two thousand special team snaps.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Luke Gifford, what's his deal?
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he might start at linebacker when the Niners go three linebackers played six plus years in a league-time special team snaps.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_03]: So those guys matter, but at linebacker, they're just not Nick Martin is going to get an opportunity.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: So, and then the other thing this week, remember, it was a joke, but it happened.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_03]: Max Crosby said a while ago, it was going to be a fight.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_03]: Niners Raiders camp.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: Niners Broncos last week had a very clean operation.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: The AFC West is filled with highly professional, the chiefs, well-oiled machine, Sean Payton, well-oiled machine, the Chargers, Harbund knows what it takes.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: Pete Carroll, well-oiled machine, but the Raiders at that Raider DNA, what's going to happen this week?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll look at that.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I have some criticisms to respond to.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_03]: I take on the haters today, not really, but Connor Kyle producer Connor is here.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to need his opinion on something specifically, but area is everybody.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: Last time Connor was on, people loved it.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: The people love the last time you're on.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm glad you're back in the, you know, of your mic, you got an empty room acoustics.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: We've all moved out of San Francisco at one point.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: So that's right.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was a good run.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, absolutely good around.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no article today.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to work on some articles.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: I've been a little bit dizzy.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's been moved.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: You went to band and dunes and then you got to move the last time you're on.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_03]: You've got the, remind me the name of the sub set.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Joe co-show.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: Joe co-show.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: Good thing you whispered.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: But you haven't the article you wrote was very good.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I look forward to it.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you should do some, should do some more stuff there.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: What do you want?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: What do you got?
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: Let's, we got a few things.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: What are your takes?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_03]: And she watched the Ninersburg.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any big takes coming out of it?
- 4:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I got one thing I want to play for you here in a second, but.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, overview is preseason first game.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: You can't overreact, but excellent call, excellent, you know, production from the Ford and Ninersburg broadcasting first and foremost.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would like, I mean, Junior Bergen, if he can be legit special teams of Turner in the last a while, I would love maybe just one thing get a little bit better on the special teams.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the kick in situation, but can we get one thing and inch better on the special teams for the forty-nine years?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan Walkins was a highlight.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see a speaker see her.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe someone taking a step, taking a leap.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: and then the not so good Alfred Collins.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: He looks so slow and vertical and he just, I don't know, that was not the best performance.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Warren did force a fumble.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: And guy, my question is, do you think there's four fumbles in the game on Saturday?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think there's more fumbles in preseason?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: They don't hit ever at practice.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: The ball was on the ground all the time.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Is it just like reps and or is that something they're hitting hard or is that purely rust?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_03]: A good question.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: I hadn't thought about it in that context.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a good question.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's got to be no one's really getting hit in practice, like really.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: You go to the joint practice.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: There's like a little more pop in a few of those studs, but still.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then I mean, I'm just so aware.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: I was talking to a few people who've called the NFL before last week and I'm like, what should I be?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_03]: You know, having done a lot of college, but I've never called an NFL game.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, well, the speed is so much more speed.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: And like Nick Bonito, I'm watching him go on like, yeah, there's so much more speed.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_03]: But then you get a little further down, you know, I mean, there were some weird ones.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: There were some weird ones.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: The one like pump throw from Tanner Mordica, I was a weird one.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jimmy G, Alex Smith type of.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: Jimmy T. Ted Fumble there.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, wait.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: It was.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good question.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's got to be something to that, right?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_03]: The fact that you haven't been hit, like really been hit.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: But I will say this too, like, not letting anybody off the hook.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: These guys do punch it, but you don't tackle, but they do punch at the ball, like crazy.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: The, the Amirabdulla ones are great example.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: Amirabdulla, eleven years in the league, gets a helmet to the rib cage, right?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: He fumbled it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: That might just be a fumble.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know?
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's something that I thought was interesting.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then, or I just, I don't know, picked up on that a little bit.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sebastian Valdez, you end to it.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: You do have on draft.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's a player.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he looks like, I like the no gloves look from these U.D.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Lyme.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: He looks a little undersized.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: He stays low.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're sure.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean,
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, how much can you take from game one of the preseason?
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's, you know, I can't overreact in everything, but reps, right?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's all reps.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I think to like, you know, every team is different.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: So you watch a team and you go, well, these guys have a competition at tight ends.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_03]: So anything happened there or these guys have a competition at nickel.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: So did anything happen there?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think all that stuff like Mac Jones, um, is looks exactly like you should.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think Mac Jones on the YouTube videos in the thumbnail.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, Mac Jones looks exactly like he should.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_03]: Offensive line play, you hope you're not it.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: You know, they do think they've got an issue with backup tackle because they don't have one who can swing and I don't even know if they've got a true left tackle or right tackle, like, you know, like a strong sixth guy.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_03]: You know, so that does feel like a real thing.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: Although, you know, shenanigans
- 8:09[SPEAKER_03]: defended some of the, especially those Nick Bonito plays and one of them was not.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Spencer Burford that was Luke Feral trying to get across and he just.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: Bonito didn't bite on a on a run fake and he was in the backfield.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, oh, well, that's that's a long way for the tight end to go.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: That was a brock pretty play in the industry title game.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: There's a couple things like you watch the game back and Tim Ryan is such a pro because I said on that play like the tight end.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_03]: like hard to block, beneath it with a tight under something, just in real time, you know, and to his, he's like, well, he, and he said it in a way, which I don't mind getting, he, this guy knows football.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying what I think I see.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't mind.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: No, guy, but he didn't say that.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: He just said it out so long way for the tight end to go.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: And he's right.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: You see the replay, just a long way.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Luke Ferrell got beat.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: It was just a long way for him to go.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: So, um, but any other, any other takes you had before I get to a couple of the things here.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, no more Niner tastes.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: I've won one thought about the actual production of the game.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Did you watch back the highlights?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you watch a game and call it the game.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: But are these cameras more zoomed out in this booth versus like a fox or a different NFL record?
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: You stand out the game cameras like shooting the field?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: shooting the fields.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying passing plays.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: These cameras look more zoomed out.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: Looks like I could see this routes develop much better.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Or I don't know if that's a new NFL thing or if this is a different sort of production thing.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so excited.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: Five yards.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'll pull up some photos made.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: I can show them later.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, no.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: It makes totals.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: I get what you're saying.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know the answer that question.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: But I had noticed that.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_03]: You're saying you liked it or you didn't.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was you didn't like it.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to go to some passing routes.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: You can watch, you can watch.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and you'll folks will like pan over, you know, as parties releasing the ball to Jennings, like, oh, these open.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think there's different philosophies.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if they're why it's a good question.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have the answer that, but good.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: Look at you.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's very observant.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_03]: Very observant.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I would play something.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, by the way, Cubeteers came out today.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_03]: Sandos, Cubeteers.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_03]: People are asking, what do you think of Cubeteers?
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: We can live react to those.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, coming up.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, we can do it right now.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: What's your get-don't look, you haven't looked yet?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't looked at the screen now.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: I already looked and I didn't guess in my head.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: What tier and what number do you think?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Brock Perti is.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: What tier and one last year, Brock was tier two with thirty four tier two votes and sixteen tier three votes.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: What tier do you think?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: Perti is in now.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Man, were they bringing down a tier three?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say tier two still.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Number twelve overall.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: So good guess.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: Perti is tier two and he's fourteen.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: Tier one, here we go.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Sandow, tier's list.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_03]: I should we should remake the thumbnail.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: This is more interesting.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_03]: But tier one, Mahomes, Burrow.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_03]: Josh Allen is number three.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: Lamar Jackson number four.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Stafford.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Stafford was down into your two last year.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_03]: And now he's up into tier one.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, we've been dealing with some back issues.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_03]: It sounds like he's going to be okay.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: But tier two at the top of tier two, number six, Jane Daniels, number seven, Justin Herbert, golf eight, strow that's down a little bit for strow two spots, golf is up two spots.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_03]: But still, number nine for strow and he's around seven last year.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: Jalen, herch is up two spots to nine.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_03]: Baker is eleven.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_03]: He was in tier three last year.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: Dack is twelve.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_03]: Jordan love is thirteen.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Brock party fourteen.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's so it's so crowded here.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: You can tell.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: Strowded hearts and golf and Baker all kind of in the same in the same range.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, Brock is two tier three.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_03]: Kyler Aaron Rogers to a Trevor Lawrence Gino.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: Bonyx and Arnold Drake may like it's like to me, you know, this is tier three, Kyler.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: I know, I'm not saying Kyler's tier two, but I also don't think he's in, you know, Drake may.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would have him.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_03]: Bonyx even, Gino even.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, I guess all these guys, there's something going on there.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, Jaden Daniels is kind of getting last year's CJ Stroud treatment, right?
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: You know, for a young player, I still think there can be some big variations.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: I get it though, I don't, you know, I personally, people know this.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: I would rather have Brock than Dak or Baker, like that's probably been the guy I've talked about the most, but I understand the Baker stuff, like Baker,
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: I have to also shake some of my early preconceived note, not preconceived, but evaluations of Baker.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: What he's done with his career, I'm on the record, a huge fan of how like the perseverance, you know, there are only so many guys that pull it off.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: I would put Alex Smith in that category.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: Young quarterback who overcome
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: bad situations who fail, who get mismanaged, and get criticized, and get benched, and all of that stuff, guys who come in with a lot of expectations, a lot of attention, bright lights, and overcoming, and Baker has, first of all, his values off the charts based on his contract.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's an explosive player.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's raised his floor, which is really the key for him.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: You know, less crazy weird place, but he still has a few of them.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, there you go.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Let's read some of the purity here.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: He does more on tape, certain opposing coach, than I think a lot of guys can do in terms of anticipation and accuracy.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it faltered at times, but I get the sense he was playing through some things when he's healthy and on.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think there's a lot of guys at the level he's at.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_03]: said a DC when you play San Fran, you're thinking about McAfrey, Kittle, IU, you know, pretty will get it to them, but not necessarily thinking about putting your facing their defense and all these skill guys with Kyle Shanahan.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: Said I had coach pretty doesn't get enough credit.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_03]: The draft is over.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the guy's played his ass off.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: Recognize that with an explanation.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: That's definitely a text.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_03]: A text.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: He is not a text.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's how they text.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: He's not the last pick of the draft anymore.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: This guy's one one away from being a one for some people.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: If you want a Super Bowl, oh, tier one guy, if you want a Super Bowl, I think it's what that means.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine with me.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: I got, yeah, go ahead.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Perty is that he's always going to be in that range and I don't.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: For whatever reason, he can't get above, there's no reason to get above a five with where he was drafted with the system he's in.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like this.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm fine with that.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's on assuming, and that's what I think that's where he wants to be.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: In a way that's, he is a point guard.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: He said it a lot of times.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a point guard, and I've got to distribute the ball and do my job, right?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have a huge ego around this, it seems like.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so, what was he seven a few years ago after?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't think he was that high.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's twenty four rank.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_03]: These are just tears.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, his rank.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: Vote average two point five.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, that's that feels right.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's probably here somewhere, and I'm not saying it, but he's, you know, it seems he has this like ceiling around him when it comes to quarterback rankings for all these different reasons that we talked about.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would also say like, there's still a lot of football to be played.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: He is solidly tier two.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think there's any, that's where I would have him.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_03]: I like tiers.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think when we talk about rankings, I said this last year to me from a ranking standpoint, he belongs in the eight to twelve range at any given time.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think Jared Goffs, another guy kind of like Baker, where I just,
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: He just deserves so much credit.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's just keep that in the back of your mind when you think about Brock or any other quarterback.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's a long way to go before you establish what your final positioning is.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: But if every year the forty-nineers are getting a solid tier two and I think I could be wrong.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like tier two normally isn't fourteen got like I feel like fourteen this usually the start of tier three.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: So it feels like there's a there's a lot of tier two and we're all trying to figure out what these guys like who is tier well any of these guys become tier one.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she looked like CJ Strad was about to be tier one.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's been waiting on Justin Herbert to be tier one.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_03]: Jayden Daniels runs it back.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe then he'll be tier one is hurts ever going to get to tier one.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so, but that's okay.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like you can win a championship if your guy is every year his floor is tier two.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think a better Brock here, and he can be right in here in the in the eight nine range.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: And that's really good.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: Like if you pay your quarterback with what they're paying him, and he is every year a board like around eight seven eight nine ten, then you're you are getting your money's worth as long as you've built a good team.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: which you can to look at these guys.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: These are all guys that are making money or will make money and like certain Baker will.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you would think Baker will make more at some point soon.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: But that's fine.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this is coming off a year that wasn't as great as you'd like, right?
- 18:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was definitely from being almost an MVP.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's definitely an MVP candidate two years ago.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm fine.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Now, the question is like, is he closer to fifteen or nine?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: You know, after this year, and I've got confidence that he can be closer than not to nine than fifteen.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, all these guys into your three have like, Kyler major injuries.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_03]: Does he started the playbook?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: Aaron, you know, does he have anything left to a can he stay on the field?
- 18:55[SPEAKER_03]: Trevor Lawrence, you know, like all these, there's another level.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think a big question marks here when we get to these guys at tier three.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody's Michael says.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: He was twelve last year.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Which, yeah, I mean, if he can, if he can climb into the top ten or, you know, up closer to that seven range, that's going to be so good in the Kyle Shannon system.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I wonder what, you know, Matt Ryan MVP years probably was into your one that year.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder, did I go back this far?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think, I don't think it was.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it was retroactively going to go back, but that might have been the best quarterback shenan's played with for a season.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: But how close can pretty get to that point?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: And like you said, Jalen Hertz is tied for nine and that one is super bull.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and that was after he won the Super Bull.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: He got tied for it.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like he wasn't nine going into that.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't write.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, but I'm just updating the title on this YouTube video, even though the thumbnail.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: We'll change this to tears.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: Make it a little more clickable.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm a little surprised at Rogers at the XVI.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so weird seeing it in the Steelers uniform.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, Michael Jordan was there.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: Brandy Moss Titans.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_03]: Jerry Rice Raiders.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for a minute, C-Ox.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would flip Dak and Brock, but Dak, dirty, Brock pretty Tuesday.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: Dak, eleven touchdowns, eight to a class year, got hurt, didn't page so much money.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: But being the Cowboys quarterback, there's, you know, hidden value in that seems.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's no doubt.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, but I just, to me, what scares me off about deck, and I think deck's really good.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like all these guys are so good.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I just always, I know I said all the time, but the old, the, the Kyle Shanahan quote that I love, right?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: There aren't thirty two people on the face of the earth that can play quarterback in an acceptable level.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's such a great quote.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, this guy is,
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: plays at an acceptable level, but but watching him in the playoffs, particularly against the Niners.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Watching their end of game operation when they didn't get the ball spiked in time, that whole thing like, I just, how do you want to, now that's partly McCarthy, too.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_03]: But man.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: They, yeah.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's done anything at all, but he's put up great numbers though.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: He really has and those are not they're not totally hollow.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: But.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I'm going to play something.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: We can get back to we get some comments here on the tears.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get back to that.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_03]: But I need Connor your.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: Honest, well, I've gotten, I actually addressed this the other day.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: I went back and watched it a few three criticisms.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: One, I said, the nine, the, it was a foot to go.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_03]: I was an inch to go when it was a foot to go.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: You, you caught that.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_03]: The other one, I, I saw this on a comment on the, let me make sure I'm sharing the right screen here.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: A comment on the channel, somebody said,
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: about Tim Ryan, tell Tim Ryan to back off you, LOL, dude is too big.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_03]: So this is what it looks like for those of you listening, you can't see it, but this is what it looks like around camera.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: The good news is Connor, I've made some adjustments.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_03]: I got on some creatine.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_03]: I went to Panama with Kittle and I did what, you know, and we're good.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_03]: We've made so much of it.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think the one thing, maybe not the size.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe maybe, maybe hit the tanning salon.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: The tanning salon.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: The tanning salon.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: The tan
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: That is, that's a, he's looking good.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are looking as great, but yeah, that's a great adjustment, or you can stand up a closer to the camera.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I could do, yeah, it's right, a little force perspective.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_03]: Where did that go?
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: I lost it.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so yeah.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, now here's the other thing.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: So I was, you know, I love, we do a lot of stuff together.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: I love,
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: Larry Kruger.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's my guy.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I watched Larry Larry doesn't let Larry one of the first people to watch camp and say, I think Brock pretty's good.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_03]: Back before back when Brock was getting like two snaps.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, you know, Larry and Brian Greasy.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: And so I want your honest opinion here.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_03]: I was watching Larry's film breakdown.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to play with Larry said,
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I'm going to play the clip that he's talking about.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_03]: And you just, I'll just, okay, so here we go.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: This is late.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: We're talking, he's breaking down and Nick Martin play.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: And Nick Martin bear, you know, Chase is it from behind.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: And listening to Guy Haberman on the TV call, he's like, you know, Nick Martin, and Nick Martin Chase is him and he can't get him.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, oh, and you're sitting there going, darn, Nick Martin, he blew it.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Martin.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: What happened?
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Why did?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why didn't Nick Martin make that play?
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, important, you know, it's like everybody stands up.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Martin.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: So I can't quite tell is Larry fully blaming me for any Nick Martin opinions that came out of that play.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_03]: And he's doing an impression of me, which I don't think my voice is that high, but I'm going to play the play.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: And you tell me, A did I represent the play properly and B did Larry represent me properly.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: Got it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's about for him if he's going to be a major factor on this offense is that consistency.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_04]: RJ Harvey bounces it outside.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Martin can't catch him.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: That he picks up a first down before Siegel hits him.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: All right, your thoughts.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, um, be honest.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think this Nick Martin is the only one that has a chance to make a tackle in that play.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't think there is many.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you said Nick Martin five times like Larry thought you said it.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Also, in Nick Martin and Nick Martin and Nick Martin, but, uh,
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe don't say Nick Martin and say the forty-nine is push push the guy outside.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: So here's the thing.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's not saying that I said it that many times, right?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's just saying that I lead people to think that Nick should have made the play.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's really the heart of it, right?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Should have made the play and did I make it sound like he should have made the play?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're pushing your agenda.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: Am I pushing my agenda?
- 26:26[SPEAKER_03]: My anti-mic Martin agenda here.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it didn't seem, it didn't seem off to me.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed like a normal play, but now that I'm thinking about it, I'm really going to look for that, the Nick Martin slander.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And Nick, it chases it from behind and listening to Guy Haberman on the TV call.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, you know, Nick Martin and Nick Martin Chase them and he can't get him.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm about for him if he's going to be a major factor on this offense is that consistency.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_04]: RJ Harvey bounces it outside.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Martin can't catch him.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: That he picks up a first down before Siegel hits him.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think what it is, your voice elevates as the guys running down the sideline, Harvey, and there's a big hit that happens, and so the excitement level increases as you're finishing the same Nick Martin.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's my only thought is about how it happened.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: It became like a bigger play for Nick Martin, but it was, it was Henry's in the tackle.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_03]: So I have an opinion here, which is that, so I watched, I watched the play several times after the,
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like yesterday, I guess, today, yesterday.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: And then I saw a watch footage video today.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll say two things.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: One, watching the breakdown of the play, it really isn't Nick, I think Larry's right.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's not Nick Martin's tackle to make.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_03]: Like he's coming from the complete other side.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was an incredible effort.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: We're joking about my anti Nick Martin agenda.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very pro Nick Martin.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_03]: Number two.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I think I am happy with the way I said it and I'll add a third and three Larry's actually right.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: He does he's correct even though
- 28:19[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't sound the way he said.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: I sounded the way he sounded is the way I was thinking.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: So Larry actually is, he's right.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I was wrong on that play.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: I was describing that play.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like I thought Nick Martin should have made that tackle.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I do think I couched it the way I said it.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: I was like right on the edge of saying Nick Martin, but I also left myself some wiggle room to not make it sound critical in Nick.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_03]: Because I don't really know, like in real time, sometimes you just can't.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_03]: Where did he come from?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: Where was he?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm defending myself in the sense that like, I was happy with the way I said it, but I have to admit, Larry's actually right.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: In that call, believe it or not, I wasn't, I won't say, it's not, I'm not being critical.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: But I did call it with the belief that Nick should have made that play.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: I started this, I think I wanted people to believe that I was going to defend myself, but actually Larry is correct.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I shouldn't make that play.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's a whole other layer that actually taps in like fans probably don't know as much as there's almost a predictive element and how you're calling certain plays and how it's developing and how to like, there are the voice inflections.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: How do you just think out on the fly?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, you saw Nick Martin, you kind of like talked about him should be making the tackle.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: Is that every single play, essentially?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: Or is that a big place?
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: You sort of have to predict, like kind of predict what you're saying.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: You see it sometimes you don't.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's why you got an analyst who can really see it.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, look, look, someone said you're always right here.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: No study.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_03]: Film study right here.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: Here's comment.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: Stop rehashing your job.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: You did well.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: This is just splitting hairs.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: But this is the point.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: This is why I'm doing it.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to do this every time.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_03]: But this is what we do.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: This is YouTube.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: There's no commercial breaks.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there can be, but I'm just saying like, we just go for as long as we want and then we stop.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: And so I get that sometimes like when we talk like stops splitting hair on games, like that's what also we do it if we're not here splitting hairs.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm here to split hairs.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: And the reason I brought it up is, because I just thought it was a little, this is not gonna become a broadcast analysis YouTube channel and podcast.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: I promise you.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_03]: Why are you looking at me like that?
- 30:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's not, but I did think it was an interesting example of just like there's a subtlety to it.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Larry sees a lot of subtlities in football and he's very observant.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: and he was right like that is what I was saying and the reason I wanted to bring it up is specifically because it's Nick Martin who I think has gotten a lot of criticism from this game and I haven't said yesterday you watch my thing like I said I don't think it was a great game form but it also
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's his first game.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a really hard position to play.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're, at this point, you're looking for the raw material.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: He's got the raw material.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know, look at the winners.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a work in progress.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_03]: And hopefully this is the year that it all comes together for him.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it takes time for a set.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's where like, Marquis Eagle, I think's really interesting.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_03]: They really fast.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's a really hard position to play right away.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_03]: Safety, like I put safety.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man, first of all, they're all hard to play right away.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_03]: Receivers are really hard position to play right away.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the Niners might be relying on a rookie receiver, Jordan Walkens to be able to be the guy that figures it out.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: Can I give you a stat that on Jordan Walkens that I think's really interesting?
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't get a chance to, I'm gonna try and use it this week or maybe next week.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: Normally, I wouldn't give it out of it.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want somebody else to have it, but whatever, I'll use it.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 32:14[SPEAKER_03]: Nick Martin, sorry, not Nick Martin.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: I said Jordan Watkins.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Jordan Watkins had a baby last year, what he was a little mess.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: He had a daughter.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so here's if you want to be optimistic on a big jump from Brock pretty this year.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_03]: No, that he's a father.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_03]: I looked this up.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: Last year, prenatal.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: Jordan Watkins at Ole Miss in six games had thirteen catches.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_03]: Postnatal.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: He had thirty six catches in six games.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: Same number of games, prenatal postnatal.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: No one ever does.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_03]: When you go to football reference, you don't get prenatal and postnatal.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, let's let's.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_03]: The dad's right.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: You got a home run.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: Prenatal, thirteen catches postnatal, thirty six catches for Jordan Watkins.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_03]: You imagine if perty, three X's is production postnatal?
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, McAfron.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot of touchdowns, that's a lot of yards.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that'll get him just just to tier two.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_03]: Everything I hear about post-natal life, I'm not expecting the three XMI production post-natal.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping if I could just maintain production, that'd be great.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great set.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for the walk-ins.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he looks, he looks like a player.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like a player.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: The slot fay the Niners hit deep balls.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, how about that?
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: They hit one of the fears all the other day and practice too.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty good.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to have to be, he's going to have to probably start in John Jennings.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: How much is he costing himself, unfortunately, with his injury?
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: And how is that injury coming up into negotiations for for Jennings?
- 34:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's all part.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot in that super right now between the calf.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I would he still be practicing.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: You feel like, yes, yeah, that's what he was doing.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: But if you're his agent, you're rather than else, like you feel like you got leverage right now, given the forty minutes, you know, to Marcus Robinson still waiting on that suspension.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_03]: But they, you know, he, he's looked really good.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to, they're going to miss him when he's gone for however long he's going to be gone early in the year.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: Need task gestures, but, you know, what do you think?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_03]: How about I'm trying to get the ball a couple debo plays for Jordan Watkins?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't quite have him block that one.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_03]: Don't think.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he had a rough.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think it looks like he's, you know, taking a big step or they, they really like him.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're feeding them the ball and he can make place and so I think I think it'll be around.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Martin, he force a fumble.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: So that's good.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's around the ball, but the new lineback in the NFL now is smaller, because it's speed of the game, the running.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's not practical.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's not really the worst of our old home.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Martin is five-level level.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's not big for a linebacker.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Fred Winner's six-three, two, you know, two-twenty or so.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: And Nick Martin's five-eleven.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a size problem?
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it worked at the big-twelf, but is that also potentially part of the issue?
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's all, it's all a factor for local, yeah, arm length, arm, luckily is fast enough.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good question.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, to me that for linebackers, that stuff always comes in from a health standpoint, right, or can you, can you say healthy, like in the contact?
- 35:56[SPEAKER_03]: And we saw like, that I think that was probably one of the questions last year of my luck.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: We stopped and he got hurt, but it wasn't size, you know, size thing.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: How do you look, how does Nick Martin look next to Tim Ryan in the booth?
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, these are all questions that are there.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little four that, yeah, just a little four.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: Good, good would be the answer to that.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, yeah, these are all, did just so many, you know, you think back last year in camp, Jacob Cowling, right in the preseason made some plays.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: I remember asking Kyle Shanahan and our press conference about it.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, there's just so much that a rookie receiver has to do.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know, just so it's just so hard.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: But Watkins is going to get that.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: I you did it.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: You can make an impact as a rookie.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: So it can be done.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_03]: It can be done.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: As a defense of energy, look better with Robert Solomon.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_03]: One game hard to tell.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it's cool to see Robert running around on sidelines and being Robert.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I think they're pretty fired up.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: And I also think the other thing we haven't gotten a chance really to talk a lot about is Gus Bradley.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like there, Gus was there for the birth of the Legion of Boom.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: And the way that those guys play is obviously evolved since then.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_03]: But I think the combination of those two guys is gonna be really interesting.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_03]: And then the other part of it is like, is Robert, doesn't go well, you hope so.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_03]: Does Robert get another job?
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: He, you know, is a head coach.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: I think he'll probably have another, I think I don't know if it's this year, but in the next couple of years, if he's got a top six defense again, it's hard for the defensive guys, but I love a shot.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's so respected.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: does, is Gus Bradley still, if Robert needs two years to become a head coach, does Gus Bradley stay for two years, does he become somebody else's defensive coordinator?
- 37:55[SPEAKER_03]: Is he, remember last year you had Steve, you had, uh, uh, uh, Steve Brooks, but, um, what's the thing, the secondary coach?
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: He had, he had Brandon Staley hanging around.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, okay, well, maybe Brandon Staley is the next sorenson replacement.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't go well.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that's,
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: The answer was it didn't go well and he wasn't the replacement.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but like they well, I think there's a lot of respect for Gus Bradley and I think he's also he's not just like a guy hanging I think he really is especially when it comes to the secondary impacting this defense and I think that's the combination of the two I think is
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's interesting.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's cool.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: But again, it's complicated.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like I made the point yesterday on the video, one of the reasons that up to stout seemingly is able to step in so quickly is because he comes from a complicated defense at Western Kentucky.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: But it's a challenge.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you're asking, you want Renardo and Lenore.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: You want these guys healthy.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: They can be practiced.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: They're not practiced.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: We'll go out there today, but you want them out there practicing and hopefully the knives are getting, they're supposed to be getting some guys back this week for this practice against the Raiders.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: So hopefully that happens.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's begun because every single one of the forty-nineers' defensive backs has a Q or an O next to them on the ESPN temperature, aren't they?
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: All the starters.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: So Renardo, Jair Brown, Malik Massafa, Lenore, and nothing stop.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: So if you get, I don't know, they got good.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_03]: But I think it's a lot of little tweets, Nick's bumps, you know, I love when we say like, Nick's in bumps, like a Nick is when I,
- 39:32[SPEAKER_03]: Hit bump my hip on the dishwasher.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's, you know, football, it's different level.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: But one other thing, you know, did you see this, Lewis Ridic tweeted yesterday.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_03]: Tray Lance is with the right program, right coach, right QB room.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: No BS, no agendas.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a chance to see what he could actually become.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: Now happy AF for him.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: Hashtag bolt up.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to get hard bod and Tray Lance week three.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very excited.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: I would imagine maybe Shannon and gets asked this week.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: I would, this week did last year, right?
- 40:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's like the third game was the game that Perti played in.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_03]: And those guys, so hopefully that is the home game against the chargers and trade lands.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, it's, it's getting a lot of reactions.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't fully disagree.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, car ball.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I mean,
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Shannon system is, I don't know, the complication levels, but Greg Roman and Jim Harbock done this before, if the similar type of quarterback in a way, I mean, Colin Kaepnik was more of a peer runner than Tray Lance, but I just, Harbock was so much more downhill running the ball, and it seems Shannon system is much more complicated in circumstances that I don't fully hate that.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a little, it's, it's,
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just going all the way far saying that, making that take, but I don't know.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's gonna play ever.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's fun reaction.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm rooting for him.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, any guy that has, you know, the same as the, as the Alex Smith, the Baker, the stuff I said before.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: So you're rooting for him.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you just wanna see him settle into whatever a career is.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's getting what he needs.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like now which is a lot of opportunity to play.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_03]: And there's no question that Jim Harbaugh has a very positive effect.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's the most out of quarterbacks.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: So does Kyle Shanahan.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like, Kyle Shanahan also gets the most out of quarterbacks.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's rare that a guy who plays for Shanahan now, darn old one often, but darn old, but it's rare that like, you go off and find more.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_03]: So now that said, you can't deny the situation that Tre was in.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: When they drafted, I thought it was a great situation for him.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_03]: because I thought, look, it's this really good team.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to be asked to do too much.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: But that was, I was incorrect.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_03]: What it turned out is the opposite.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's like when you have a team that has to win, it just puts a, or that is in win now mode or ready to win or however you want to characterize it.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's just a really tough spot.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: And college coaches have said this.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: to me over the years, and it's true, PJ Fleck, the Minnesota Coach, the former forty-natter was on the show.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: He said, you know, the NFL is not really a developmental league, right?
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's you developing college, you get to the NFL, and your development occurs kind of on your own the off season.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: This is a general, a generalization.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's not totally true, but like if you need work on your footwork, if you need mechanical work, that is not happening in OTAs, and it's not happening in training camp.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, here comes Tray Lance, who hadn't played a lot of, who hadn't played a lot in college.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then there's the COVID year, so plays like the one, remember they played one game in October, just one game.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_03]: And then he leaves to get ready for the draft and then North Dakota State ends up playing the FCS schedule that year was in the spring of twenty twenty one.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: So he just didn't play
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, it's just, so yeah, I mean, hopefully he's had a chance to take a breath, develop, provide that situation.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: It will go down as one of the most bizarre.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_03]: I think it is, I think it is underrated how crazy it is that Mack Jones is in the red and gold now.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like five years later, here he is.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's insane.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the trickle that effect of everything too is Brock pretty get drafted match.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, you know, it's all, it's all crazy.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: But the one thing about Lewis Riddick, I think it is crazy putting him with calling the right program now versus shenanigans, comparing shenanigans system.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I think this is more a compliment to Harbaugh.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: And like Harbaugh got so much out of Alex Smith.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: He got so much out of Colin Kaepernick.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I just think there's less, yeah, like he said, less pressure.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: He can, he can sort of develop it on the backside.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I don't know.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think there's more about Harbaugh versus Shannon.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: And because trillions is not coming from Cleveland, it's coming from the numbers.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's coming from Dallas.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's part of what Lewis is talking about, too, right?
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Jerry Jones trailer.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_03]: That's for Mike McCarthy, he didn't want it.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 44:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like that, he got full of some coach.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_03]: So that's, it's hard to know exactly what Lewis is, there's an agenda here.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like, he's got something to say here, too.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: I shouldn't say agenda, but Dante says Lance's mechanics and footwork look way better.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: He also looks faster.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was one of the surprising things about watching what the forty-nine is.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: Is it just, he looked uncomfortable as a runner?
- 44:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know, everything was moving really quickly and he wasn't comfortable.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he looked like a much more, and I know it's the FCS level, but he looked like a much more comfortable runner in college and maybe he's more comfortable now, but big game.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Great Lance.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: True Lance Mac Jones on August, twenty-third.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: for the show.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: And Harva.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is crazy.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: Preseason Storylines.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: And we get the writers this week.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: What are you looking for this week?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: What are you, what do you, what do you ponder on?
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we talked with deep into line.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the young guys, clearly.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, another, like all, Al for Collins just needs reps, you know, to miss OTAs.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: He needs, he needs to be out there.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_03]: You don't know.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_03]: You know, once the season starts, it gets harder.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think, like I said, the Nick Martin D. Winters, Brock Bowers, Ashen Gentie, you know, all that stuff, like, that's valuable.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_03]: But somebody blocking Max Crosby would be good.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think right now, given kind of how banged up, it's just Ricky, my thing with Ricky Pierce, I think he's good enough to impact this team.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's just got to be out there healthy today.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: Be out, you know, no hamstring tweaks, that sort of thing, no shoulder.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_03]: Be out there healthy today.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: Be out there healthy tomorrow.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_03]: Get through practice on Thursday.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_03]: Probably won't play in the game Saturday, but same thing the next week.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I just, he's got momentum.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like you can feel it.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_03]: Ricky's got some momentum right now.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_03]: He's making plays.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_03]: He's healthy.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: He's looking fresh.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: He finished last year's straw.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like the whole, I think it's really clicking for him.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously doing it in practice is different doing it in a game.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: But the Niners, I didn't realize if you did use the Niners put out the video a couple days ago after the joint practice with Denver of the Ketchie hat on a deep ball on Jadae Baron.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: It was a great play.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_03]: It was a great play.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_03]: So I just, you know, that's probably the top of this.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think coming out of the first preseason game, Marky Seagull, like that, what are you, what are you, what are you grinning about?
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: I do, let's get a comment.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: What are you got?
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Seagull, yeah, he is, he's a, it's gonna come out into a Jake Moody Kick.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's another thing as well.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: And Jake Moody make an extra point in the Legion Stadium.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, great point.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_03]: I think his senior bowl was that allegiance?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: No, that wouldn't have made sense.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_03]: But he played some game in a legion.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: Super Paul.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is a rule, but before that, I think you'd kick to the Legion too.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, do you like to do kick off rule?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: You mean last year's rule of the change this year?
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the update.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: You know, my first inclination say no, it just looks weird.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: But of course it looks weird.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's totally different.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's brand new.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: I will say after watching it play out.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Going into the game, I didn't like it.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then watching it play out in the game.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm open to it.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm open to it.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_03]: Because it does great returns.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_03]: You know, a touchback being at the thirty five is like the thirty five is crazy.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_03]: The Niners last year allowed the second worst starting field position on returns with like the thirty one point two yard line, only Tennessee allowed the opponent when they return the ball and a kick off better field position.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: No one really gets to the thirty five on these returns.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: So you are incentivized to kick it short, but I think last year the league average on returns was the twenty seven.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: So last year, if there was a touchback, the ball came out to the thirty.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: On returns last year, guys got to about the twenty seven.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't clue there was some data that they still felt like there were too many touchbacks.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_03]: So now they made it the thirty five.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think it's a really critical part, you know, when we're evaluating moody against anybody, it's about field goals, it's about extra point.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's also about this.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_03]: Can you land the ball, you know, ideally you can bounce it and it goes into the end zone, and then it comes out to the twenty.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: But that's that's really hard because if it bounced, you know, the returner is incentivized, he's going to return it.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: But nobody's getting the thirty five really, it feels like, right, on these returns.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, thirty five seems to start and wasn't it twenty five.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, twenty five now thirty five.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's you're making a field much shorter.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I love the thirty five aspect.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you what I do like it potentially less kicker tackles.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: I want less kicker tackles.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_03]: Although last year then wasn't I think the first
- 50:04[SPEAKER_03]: The theory last year was it would be more, this would mean more kicker tackles because if you get past the first wave, but I think one thing that's clear, it's really hard to block on these things.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because you can't set up any, yeah, you can't set up, you have to turn, run back to the ball.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_03]: So you're back, you know, you're kind of, it's weird.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_03]: These guys, they have such a head start
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: They did before too, but now they, there's so much less space for you to catch back up to.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: You had to turn, find the ball, turn back.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's really hard to block it.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't just don't love it in general, but I don't think it's going to go back to how it was.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: The, the kickoff format.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: That is I, yeah, I agree with you.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I don't know.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_03]: I, I think you,
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: Let me think, do I agree with you?
- 50:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I guess.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_03]: I do agree with you.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's so much different than the college kickoff though.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's funny how many rules are so different in college and the NFL, and that's a big one.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody said more importantly, what is that relic over guy's shoulder?
- 51:12[SPEAKER_03]: Is that a rotary phone also does it work?
- 51:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it is.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually, let's see, can you hear?
- 51:21[SPEAKER_03]: Do you hear that?
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: No, no.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's connected to another one in another part of the house.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_03]: So I put in like a little intercom system with old phones.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's cool.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: With the ring dialer or whatever.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this one is the rotary.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: And then I'll know the one somewhere else of the house.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: And you pick it up the other one rings like your order and some food at the turn or talking to somebody or prison prison.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: or saying, hey, Tray Lance, you're going to be a forty-nineer.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's right.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: Calling somebody out of the bullpen.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_03]: Good luck with the rest of your move.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: I kept kind of, I didn't mean to keep you still long.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_03]: You guys, you got stuff to go do.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_03]: You got a big farewell party.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_03]: If anybody sees fireworks coming from San Francisco, that's, uh, it's coming.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's coming from now, Bill.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk to you again.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_03]: Anything else to add?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm good.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: We could practice and let's go get after it.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: Hit him hard.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: I stay healthy.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go get after everybody.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_03]: Stay healthy.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_03]: Get healthy.
