Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: And we're going to Devin Gray are UK correspondent, because
- 0:03Speaker 1: we're hearing that King Charles on his tripped down Under
- 0:05Speaker 1: to Australia, will be traveling with quite the medical sit Upkevin,
- 0:10Speaker 1: what's he traveling with?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Ran, So of course he arrives later this week
- 0:16Speaker 2: in Australia and he is taking a pause, a break
- 0:20Speaker 2: from his chemotherapy and as anyone who's had chemotherapy will say,
- 0:24Speaker 2: often they feel completely run down. So we believe that
- 0:28Speaker 2: there are no evening engagements. He has days off during
- 0:31Speaker 2: his tour, which is more than a week. But also
- 0:34Speaker 2: he is traveling with two full time doctors and we
- 0:37Speaker 2: think they're coming from London. There is a backup team
- 0:39Speaker 2: as well at some of the locations that he's visiting
- 0:42Speaker 2: and taking several pints of blood with him. Now why well,
- 0:46Speaker 2: because of course if you get very run down having
- 0:48Speaker 2: had chemo, you may get some infection which requires the
- 0:51Speaker 2: blood to be infused. So there's obviously that concern that
- 0:55Speaker 2: they've got. And this is the first visit by a
- 0:57Speaker 2: British king to Australia. He was gus, I know, not
- 1:00Speaker 2: to be able to go to New Zealand at the
- 1:02Speaker 2: same time, but this was something that is his clinicians
- 1:05Speaker 2: just said, look at the bridge too far. I don't
- 1:07Speaker 2: think they were overly keen in taking him taking this
- 1:10Speaker 2: long trip in the first place, but obviously now we're
- 1:12Speaker 2: getting details of the some of the precautions being taken
- 1:15Speaker 2: for his health since he was diagnosed with cancer back
- 1:18Speaker 2: in February.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Sounds like he will need it attending the not only
- 1:22Speaker 1: Australia but also SAMA while he's down here as well.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Thank you very much for it, Devin Gray, our UK
- 1:27Speaker 1: europe correspondent.
