Jonah
Jonah’s story exposes a familiar flaw: caring more about our comfort than God’s mercy. He fled from God’s call, preached unwillingly, and then grew angry when grace triumphed. He mourned a withered vine but not a city of people spared by repentance.
God’s rebuke still speaks: misplaced compassion reveals a warped perspective. Like Jonah, we often value ease over obedience. May God be patient with us as He was with Jonah and teach us to love what He loves.
