Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Efty Lave Baby on a Monday World Series Game three
- 0:07Speaker 1: pregame show, and then we'll have the postgame show after
- 0:11Speaker 1: that one concludes. So, AJ, you stole the show. At
- 0:15Speaker 1: the end of our postgame show on Saturday night in
- 0:17Speaker 1: Game two, when you talked about Addison Barger's pullout couch situation,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we did get quite a number of comments, but one
- 0:24Speaker 1: that stood out to me. Bobby wanted you to know
- 0:28Speaker 1: we are there. He said, I have an American leather
- 0:31Speaker 1: sofa bed, no bars, no springs, four inches of memory phone.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Wow. That means wow, good for you. I mean that's yeah,
- 0:44Speaker 2: we salute you. We were there. Yeah, I mean you
- 0:48Speaker 2: said America, not Canadian, right, so we're going true true.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So well, I asked him. I didn't get a reply yet.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I was like, where did you get this? We'll see
- 1:01Speaker 1: where these magic sofa mattresses are coming from? Because for context,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you can watch back the post game. It was good,
- 1:09Speaker 1: but AJ brought up Barger at the end and how
- 1:12Speaker 1: he was sleeping on the pullout couch for a couple
- 1:15Speaker 1: nights in a row. He did it the night before
- 1:17Speaker 1: the Grand Slam and then he did it the night after.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But that is now done because, as superstition says, he
- 1:25Speaker 1: was not victorious in the next game, and he was
- 1:27Speaker 1: not successful personally either. So anyway, let's preview the matchup.
- 1:32Speaker 2: No, he was not, No, he was not.
- 1:35Speaker 1: His team was not either. Maybe i'm Amoto slept on
- 1:39Speaker 1: we'll pull out. I doubt it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I think he's he might have like a bed of
- 1:43Speaker 2: nails or feathers. He probably slept on a bed of
- 1:46Speaker 2: feathers and had like four guys massaging him the night
- 1:49Speaker 2: before and then after who knows what he had because
- 1:52Speaker 2: after that game he deserves it all. He takes his
- 1:55Speaker 2: own mattress topper everywhere, so I'm sure he's got something.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I'm sure I'm Amoto's not like, what's that show? Hey,
- 2:02Speaker 2: that looks dumb. No, He's probably like, h you're pretty good.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'll try it.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Attention to detail, it's important. Alright, let's previews to Carlos.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Carlos used to take He used to take like these
- 2:15Speaker 2: weighted ironized sheets and like, I'm like, Carlos, what are
- 2:18Speaker 2: you doing, dude? Just sleep? You know we're not staying
- 2:20Speaker 2: at the some random motel, not a hotel, a motel
- 2:24Speaker 2: on the street. Come on, And He's like, I have
- 2:26Speaker 2: to have these. They weighted. They make me feel whatever, Carlos,
- 2:29Speaker 2: whatever helps you, buddy.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Some guys bring their own pillows. That's the thing too, Crats,
- 2:35Speaker 1: you were one of those guys.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Look at the size of his head. Do you think
- 2:38Speaker 2: a regular pillow is gonna no chance. I'll just I'll
- 2:41Speaker 2: flatten a thing like a tire.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Just World series postgame show after game three. We have
- 2:49Speaker 1: the pretty graphic, Thank you, Matt. Max. I like how
- 2:55Speaker 1: we have the blue and then I mean, I know,
- 2:57Speaker 1: what would you call that other elect spark? Yellow?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Sure? Orange?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Orange? But for Max purposes, I just feel like it
- 3:06Speaker 1: really fits the graphic because he's got two different eyeball
- 3:11Speaker 1: colors that he talks about and it's kind of two personas.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So you're seeing that glass now, just rocking the Classic
- 3:17Speaker 1: Baby Blues. Game three postgame will be on right after
- 3:21Speaker 1: it ends, and same for four or five, and if
- 3:23Speaker 1: there's anything after that, now let us charge.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Georgia has that.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You want one blue and one brown eye? Yeah?
- 3:35Speaker 2: That is bad ass? Are you kidding me? The thing
- 3:38Speaker 2: is bad as bad ass because if you get mad,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you can just give him the brown eye, and if
- 3:42Speaker 2: you're feeling good, you can give them the blue eye.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You have to be able to do this, and then
- 3:49Speaker 1: I can't really do the other side. Can you do
- 3:50Speaker 1: both sides?
- 3:52Speaker 2: I just close the one and then yeah, that's good. Happy
- 3:56Speaker 2: sad Happy, said.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Crats always something weird and quirky to add to the mix.
- 4:03Speaker 1: There you go, Kratz, It's going to be a great
- 4:05Speaker 1: clip anyway. First off, I just want to say for
- 4:09Speaker 1: our Game three preview, AJ, I love traditional starting pitching.
- 4:15Speaker 1: There's so much bullpenning in the postseason for years now.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It is nice to just have a headline, even if
- 4:22Speaker 1: Max doesn't go deep into this particular outing, Like we
- 4:25Speaker 1: have headliners every game so far, and I just appreciate that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So here we go again, Game three, Max versus Glass.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Now.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I know we touched on this the other day, but
- 4:37Speaker 1: John Schneider was kind of pointing to how they want
- 4:39Speaker 1: to give Bieber a little extra time. Ken Rosenthal on
- 4:42Speaker 1: Fair Territory that just was live this morning said he
- 4:45Speaker 1: has an inclination that the Blue Jays feel as if
- 4:49Speaker 1: Bieber has like one more start left right, they are
- 4:52Speaker 1: asking a lot from a guy who hadn't pitched in
- 4:54Speaker 1: a long time, and now he's going deep in out
- 4:56Speaker 1: into October. So Ken feels like that's the vibe. Do
- 5:00Speaker 1: you agree.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Didn't we talk about this the other day?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:05Speaker 2: But didn't we talk about this with Shane when he
- 5:08Speaker 2: was on the show the other day. I felt like
- 5:12Speaker 2: this was kind of the thing right where most people
- 5:14Speaker 2: have one good one, one bad one, and he was
- 5:15Speaker 2: kind of saying, you know, man, I don't know if
- 5:18Speaker 2: that's the case or not, but it definitely feels different
- 5:20Speaker 2: every start, and so I think, you know, Shane told
- 5:23Speaker 2: us this and then Ken probably that's and this is
- 5:25Speaker 2: one of the reasons why they went with Max game three,
- 5:27Speaker 2: so we could possibly start game seven. I don't know
- 5:31Speaker 2: how long either one of them, honestly is going to
- 5:32Speaker 2: be out there. I mean, as soon as it's almost
- 5:35Speaker 2: like as soon as somebody gets on base, I feel like,
- 5:38Speaker 2: and maybe the next two I don't know if it's
- 5:39Speaker 2: gonna be that drastic, but John Schneider is gonna have
- 5:42Speaker 2: a short lease for both these guys because he knows
- 5:44Speaker 2: he's up against Glass now and show Hey, and they
- 5:45Speaker 2: haven't given up a whole lot this postseason, So I
- 5:47Speaker 2: don't know if on the road, if they can afford
- 5:50Speaker 2: to fall behind, if they do fall mind if either
- 5:52Speaker 2: one of these guys gets in trouble, to let it
- 5:54Speaker 2: go and let it build, because you've got to win
- 5:56Speaker 2: one of these to get back to Toronto. And honestly,
- 5:59Speaker 2: if we look at everything everything against the Dodgers, when
- 6:02Speaker 2: you're talking about just Max, because we're talking about Shane
- 6:04Speaker 2: and Max here, Like the Dodgers haven't scored a lot
- 6:07Speaker 2: of runs. They haven't given up many runs either. I
- 6:10Speaker 2: think they're ten and two in the postseason, but they've
- 6:12Speaker 2: given They've scored like three, just a little over three
- 6:15Speaker 2: per game, not including the wild Card series. So you
- 6:20Speaker 2: have to keep this lineup down, and I think they
- 6:22Speaker 2: have shown that they can keep this lineup down. I
- 6:26Speaker 2: think it's gonna be a matter of what is what
- 6:30Speaker 2: is what is it looking like? Because Max, while he
- 6:33Speaker 2: was nails last time out, I think he's going to
- 6:36Speaker 2: be more remembered because of the fact that he was
- 6:38Speaker 2: yelling at John Schneider, not the four walks that he had,
- 6:43Speaker 2: not the fact that there were some large chases from
- 6:46Speaker 2: the Mariners that you go, are the Dodgers going to
- 6:50Speaker 2: do that? Is this Dodgers lineup gonna be a little
- 6:52Speaker 2: bit better at pahes out?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Of it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I don't know if he's out of it. You know,
- 6:56Speaker 2: there's a lot of things. But I agree with what
- 7:00Speaker 2: AJ said, But I also I'm going to stick to
- 7:02Speaker 2: what I said before that I think their bullpen's fresh. Now,
- 7:06Speaker 2: their bullpen's fresh. They can go with Max and Shane tomorrow,
- 7:11Speaker 2: in my opinion, probably gonna give him a little bit
- 7:13Speaker 2: more length. I think there's I think there's hope that
- 7:17Speaker 2: he would give him more length. And that would be
- 7:19Speaker 2: the middle game of a three game, three games in
- 7:22Speaker 2: a row. So who knows what they really reason is,
- 7:26Speaker 2: but to ask Shane to come back, To ask Shane
- 7:29Speaker 2: Beaver to come back in game seven after throwing Game
- 7:32Speaker 2: three might have been too much. So good for the
- 7:34Speaker 2: Jays were going this route.
- 7:37Speaker 1: This episode of FT is brought to you Byule Cheers Ers.
- 7:42Speaker 1: We got a new Hewel addition here the Daily Greens.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I've got blueberry lemon and time you've got.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I got myself peach in a biscus.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I love peach.
- 7:53Speaker 3: This is delicious fuel for the go man, and this
- 7:56Speaker 3: is really good for your body. It's really good for
- 7:58Speaker 3: your systems. Anything that has brains in it, especially from Huel,
- 8:01Speaker 3: is pretty fantastic. This will get you going a little energy,
- 8:04Speaker 3: a little boost, and keep your inside feeling well too.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Developed by registered nutritionists and dietitians who vitamins, minerals and superfoods.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Only twenty five calories, four grams of fiber, only one
- 8:15Speaker 1: gram of sugar. That's the goods. Of course, we still
- 8:17Speaker 1: love the Cule black addition, I got chocolate peanut butter.
- 8:20Speaker 1: How you do, Let's go Fuel makes healthy eating simple.

- 8:28Speaker 1: both products today with fifteen percent off your purchase for
- 8:30Speaker 1: new customers with the exclusive code foul at quel dot
- 8:33Speaker 1: com slash foul. Use that code and fill out the
- 8:35Speaker 1: post checkout survey to help support the show. And within
- 8:39Speaker 1: your answer, you brought up another decision, so I'll ask
- 8:42Speaker 1: you guys before we get an official answer, and even
- 8:44Speaker 1: if it doesn't happen today, should happen another game or
- 8:47Speaker 1: two from now if we don't see more on offense
- 8:50Speaker 1: from Andy PaaS I know he had a line out
- 8:52Speaker 1: and a base knock in his last game, but overall
- 8:55Speaker 1: we're at four for forty three, no walks, eleven punches.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Pretty good d but I guess they could I mean
- 9:03Speaker 1: there's a few things they could do. Ken Aj brought
- 9:06Speaker 1: up moving key K to center and then Alex Call
- 9:11Speaker 1: coming in or did he say call the center. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: just he was adding Alex Call to the mix, and
- 9:16Speaker 1: Doc said changes on the table for pi Haes, but
- 9:20Speaker 1: he wanted to see where he was at mentally and physically.
- 9:22Speaker 1: What do you think do you just keep rolling with
- 9:24Speaker 1: pi Haes and hope that he eventually catches fire.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I just think you roll with him right now. I
- 9:29Speaker 2: mean Call is brought into hit lefties and they're facing righties.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Maybe a pinch hit for pies if a big situation
- 9:34Speaker 2: comes up. But I don't think that you're going to
- 9:36Speaker 2: start your defense goes down too much, because then who
- 9:38Speaker 2: do you put in left? You put Call? I mean,
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't know. I just don't think that. I don't
- 9:43Speaker 2: love key K and Center, not that he can't do it.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I love their defense. And if I'm Tyler Glasto, I
- 9:48Speaker 2: want my best defense behind me because the ones I
- 9:50Speaker 2: don't strike out, they're usually going to hit fly balls,
- 9:51Speaker 2: and I want guys out there that can go get
- 9:53Speaker 2: in pies. It's pretty good in center. Hit them, ninth dude,
- 9:56Speaker 2: hit them ninth and just see what happens. I mean,
- 9:58Speaker 2: this was Andre Jimenez didn't a great year. Yes, he
- 10:00Speaker 2: hit the home runs in the LCS, but before that,
- 10:02Speaker 2: he didn't have a great year. He was in there
- 10:03Speaker 2: for his defense. It's okay every once in a while
- 10:06Speaker 2: to have a defense guy.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Especially in center field. And Kratz for me, some of
- 10:11Speaker 1: the pies at bats that I've seen are not bad.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And Clip the Seas on Dodgers' territory put it well.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It's like you'll get a five six, seven pitch ab
- 10:21Speaker 1: and then on three two he just wildly chases. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: you're like, oh, he had really good takes and some
- 10:25Speaker 1: good swings and then you know, they just get him
- 10:28Speaker 1: at the buzzer, right, like he's been a guy that
- 10:30Speaker 1: you can put away. Do you agree?
- 10:33Speaker 2: I would agree, and I would not say that these
- 10:35Speaker 2: guys are in the same category. But you watched the
- 10:38Speaker 2: game where they're facing Dosman, and guys weren't I think
- 10:42Speaker 2: it was Gosman, they weren't. They weren't striking out much.
- 10:45Speaker 2: The Dodgers weren't striking out much until Tao came up,
- 10:47Speaker 2: and then it was like Tao was kind of doing
- 10:50Speaker 2: his own thing away from the team approach, and he
- 10:53Speaker 2: couldn't just he just couldn't not swing. And so it's like,
- 10:57Speaker 2: this is what happens in the postseason. You always know
- 11:01Speaker 2: that you're kind of in an O two count, no
- 11:04Speaker 2: matter what the count is with Pajes or you always
- 11:07Speaker 2: know as Gosman facing taoscar Hernandez. Okay, I know he's
- 11:11Speaker 2: going to chase at some point. I know he's laid
- 11:13Speaker 2: off of that splitter, but we're going to go back
- 11:15Speaker 2: to it. So are they kind of exploiting him? Yes,
- 11:18Speaker 2: But what is the Dodger superpower. Dodger superpower right now
- 11:21Speaker 2: is pitching. And if you take away even a little
- 11:25Speaker 2: bit of that, is there a play that Pajes needs
- 11:28Speaker 2: to make in center field? To me, if he were
- 11:30Speaker 2: playing left field and he was struggling offensively, wipe him
- 11:34Speaker 2: off the board. See Alice call I just have a
- 11:36Speaker 2: tough time taking my shortstop catcher or center fielder out
- 11:40Speaker 2: of the game when things are going well for our
- 11:43Speaker 2: pitching staff.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I like it. Okay, let's get some more perspective on
- 11:49Speaker 1: this series from our guy who's been on the scene.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I mean, we have a few of those, but I'm
- 11:53Speaker 1: talking specific specifically about Kevin Pilar. We're going to get
- 11:57Speaker 1: his take on the Blue Jays compone in here. It's
- 12:01Speaker 1: one one. I feel as if the Dodgers are leading
- 12:04Speaker 1: in the series because of the pitching set up the
- 12:06Speaker 1: next couple of games, But it is one one. Blue
- 12:09Speaker 1: Jays have hit well on the road. We'll see what
- 12:11Speaker 1: KP says coming up next. All right, our guy Kevin
- 12:15Speaker 1: Polar is here. He's hustling out there. He's doing a
- 12:18Speaker 1: great job. You can hear him on pre and post
- 12:19Speaker 1: on Sportsnet and doing all kinds of things radio hits.
- 12:22Speaker 1: He's on with us KPH. Good morning to you. And
- 12:27Speaker 1: what do you think so far heading into this game three? Like,
- 12:30Speaker 1: are Blue Jays not fans? Are the Blue Jays pleased
- 12:34Speaker 1: with what they've seen in the first two? And how
- 12:38Speaker 1: do you like the pitching the way it matches up
- 12:40Speaker 1: in the next three.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Man, you guys almost had the perfect transition before the commercial.
- 12:45Speaker 5: You were talking about guys who can get to two
- 12:47Speaker 5: to two with the best of them, get to three
- 12:49Speaker 5: to two and then just swinging some bs. Felt like
- 12:51Speaker 5: you were talking about me.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I would never KP good at back good at.
- 12:59Speaker 4: That until I got three two.
- 13:00Speaker 5: I think there was like talks about Dave Roberts trying
- 13:03Speaker 5: to like tell Andy Pajz that it's always a two
- 13:06Speaker 5: to two count so that you know, there's a psychological
- 13:10Speaker 5: difference when it's two two versus three two. So maybe
- 13:13Speaker 5: he makes an adjustment, maybe he doesn't. But I love
- 13:15Speaker 5: that you're fighting for defensive center fielders in there, not
- 13:18Speaker 5: trying to, you know, rock the boat a little bit,
- 13:20Speaker 5: because you know, playing good defense is important the postseason.
- 13:23Speaker 5: But to answer your question, yeah, I think the Blue
- 13:26Speaker 5: Jays fans are thrilled. Obviously, you get off to a
- 13:28Speaker 5: Game one kind of a blowout.
- 13:31Speaker 2: And.
- 13:32Speaker 5: You know, Blue Jay fans maybe thought that was kind
- 13:34Speaker 5: of what to expect. But I think people around baseball probably,
- 13:39Speaker 5: you know, what happened in Game two is probably the
- 13:41Speaker 5: more likely scenario for what happens in this series. I
- 13:43Speaker 5: think you're gonna see good pitching. I think you're gonna see,
- 13:47Speaker 5: you know, timely hitting. I don't expect there to be blowouts,
- 13:50Speaker 5: but I think the Blue Jay's gotta be really happy
- 13:53Speaker 5: knowing that they can get to a guy like Blake
- 13:55Speaker 5: snow who who didn't have his best stuff, but you know,
- 13:58Speaker 5: you can only face the pitcher who's on the mountain
- 14:00Speaker 5: that day, and then you know, I think it's kind
- 14:03Speaker 5: of easy to you know, go into the clubhouse, get
- 14:06Speaker 5: on the plane, and look forward to Game three when
- 14:08Speaker 5: you face a guy like Yamamota who was just on,
- 14:10Speaker 5: you know, if he wasn't on and he was able
- 14:12Speaker 5: to kind of navigate the lineup, you know, throw nine innings.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But you know, every every person that's in that box
- 14:19Speaker 5: probably is coming back and being like, he gave me
- 14:21Speaker 5: nothing to hit. You know, he executed his pitches, He
- 14:24Speaker 5: did exactly what he wanted to do, and you know,
- 14:26Speaker 5: both of you guys were in the box. Sometimes when
- 14:28Speaker 5: you face a guy who's just cruising, it's a little
- 14:30Speaker 5: bit easier to you know, swallow your pride and just
- 14:33Speaker 5: be like I got dominated. And I feel like most
- 14:35Speaker 5: of those guys in that lineup probably felt that way.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Well that's because they did. They didn't feel that way
- 14:40Speaker 2: because they did get dominated. Kpan Young Moota was filthy.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It happens to everybody, It happens. It happens a lot
- 14:46Speaker 2: in baseball when you face a really good pitcher. But
- 14:48Speaker 2: speaking of happy, where they are are they happy with
- 14:51Speaker 2: the way the pitching match stuff, because I think if
- 14:53Speaker 2: you look at again, we're talking on paper here, sure's
- 14:55Speaker 2: their first class. Now show hey Verus Beaver. And then
- 14:58Speaker 2: we get the game one matchup again, you Savage, Blake Snell.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Are Toronto Blue Jays fans happy with the way it
- 15:03Speaker 2: matched up? And what kind of leasher these pitchers the
- 15:05Speaker 2: next few days going to be on for the Blue
- 15:07Speaker 2: Jays in order to try to have to win at
- 15:10Speaker 2: least one to get it back to Toronto.
- 15:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I think in a perfect world they
- 15:15Speaker 5: would have probably kept the rotation the same way. But
- 15:17Speaker 5: I mean, you've got to give a lot of credit
- 15:18Speaker 5: to Kevin Gosman, who really made what he felt was
- 15:23Speaker 5: the best decision for the team with him coming out
- 15:25Speaker 5: of the bullpen in Game seven and not being able
- 15:28Speaker 5: to pitch on full rest. I know it's his first
- 15:30Speaker 5: World Series and he probably wanted to have the honor
- 15:33Speaker 5: of pitching Game one, but he felt like it was
- 15:35Speaker 5: best to keep your Savage on his five day routine
- 15:38Speaker 5: and also allow him that extra day which allowed him
- 15:41Speaker 5: to go deeper in the game. He was outstanding, and
- 15:44Speaker 5: you guys talked about it too. It feels like it's
- 15:47Speaker 5: a two zero Dodgers leading because of how good Yamamota
- 15:53Speaker 5: was in Game two, but Kevin Gosman was matching him
- 15:57Speaker 5: pitch for pitch until the seventh inning, and he ran
- 15:59Speaker 5: into a three to count and missed up with a
- 16:01Speaker 5: fastball to Will Smith who hit one out, and made
- 16:05Speaker 5: another mistake up and a way to to will Smith.
- 16:07Speaker 5: And then after he came out of the game, the
- 16:09Speaker 5: bullpen kind of gave up a couple of runs. But
- 16:12Speaker 5: I mean that was a one to one game going
- 16:14Speaker 5: in the seventh inning. But yeah, I think I think
- 16:17Speaker 5: they had to make a decision, you know, for for
- 16:20Speaker 5: Game three in Game four. I think they like Max
- 16:24Speaker 5: in Game three for a couple of reasons. I think
- 16:27Speaker 5: he's obviously familiar with this environment he pitched here earlier
- 16:31Speaker 5: in this year. And then obviously, as you know, the
- 16:33Speaker 5: first game in Dodger Stadium is going to have that
- 16:36Speaker 5: extended ceremony, you know, the the anthems, the lineups. I
- 16:40Speaker 5: think Max is maybe a little bit more comfortable navigating that.
- 16:44Speaker 5: But I think it also sets Max up for you know,
- 16:48Speaker 5: the potential pitching Game seven. And I think you guys
- 16:50Speaker 5: nailed it perfectly. I think Beaver has done everything he
- 16:53Speaker 5: could do up until this point to allow him to
- 16:57Speaker 5: keep pitching. But he's coming off Tommy John quicker than
- 17:01Speaker 5: most guys have coming off Tommy John. I think he's
- 17:03Speaker 5: kind of, you know, at the point where you know,
- 17:06Speaker 5: maybe this could be his last time pitching this year,
- 17:08Speaker 5: and he's going to go out there and try to
- 17:10Speaker 5: take it as deep as possible in Game four. But
- 17:14Speaker 5: I think it would have been a lot to ask
- 17:15Speaker 5: for him to come back for a Game seven, if
- 17:18Speaker 5: there is a Game seven. I think Max is maybe
- 17:20Speaker 5: the guy who's maybe even though he's older, you know,
- 17:23Speaker 5: he missed a lot of time this year with some
- 17:25Speaker 5: different stuff. I think he's got a little bit more,
- 17:28Speaker 5: got a couple more bullets in the chamber than maybe
- 17:30Speaker 5: Shane Bieber at this point, I.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Talking about Max. What's more important how Max throws? Or
- 17:37Speaker 2: is that just across the board? It really doesn't matter
- 17:39Speaker 2: how he throws he's coming out after the first time
- 17:43Speaker 2: through the order, or is it how the offense comes
- 17:46Speaker 2: out if they give him a three run lead, does
- 17:49Speaker 2: John Schneider extend that leash a little bit? Or is
- 17:52Speaker 2: it a fear in the Toronto organization that we're just
- 17:57Speaker 2: not going to push Max too far because we saw
- 18:00Speaker 2: how he actually threw it against Seattle.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I think all those things are a factor. I mean,
- 18:06Speaker 5: I think John Snyder's been really open about what happened
- 18:10Speaker 5: a couple of years ago and the Kakuchi Burio situation,
- 18:13Speaker 5: and you know, from an outsider looking in and obviously
- 18:17Speaker 5: someone who's maybe he gets a little bit more information,
- 18:19Speaker 5: he does have the freedom to make some choices, and
- 18:24Speaker 5: there's some decisions he's made where maybe you scratch your head.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Then there's some decisions where you're like, yes, he's finally
- 18:29Speaker 5: going against the book and the analytics. And then it
- 18:32Speaker 5: came back to bite him in the butt. I mean,
- 18:34Speaker 5: Kevin Gosman, there was no there's no one in that
- 18:36Speaker 5: stadium that thought Kevin Gosman should come out of that game.
- 18:39Speaker 5: He had retired seventeen straight, he had a low pitch count,
- 18:42Speaker 5: but then the old third time through the order kind
- 18:44Speaker 5: of nipped him in the butt. And you know, I
- 18:47Speaker 5: don't think anyone in that stadium until he gave up
- 18:49Speaker 5: those homers were like, oh, why are you letting him
- 18:51Speaker 5: go through the lineup three times? You know, I think
- 18:54Speaker 5: he's learned a lot in his time as a manager.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I think he has complete support from Annaly the front
- 19:00Speaker 5: office to go out there and make the best decision.
- 19:04Speaker 5: But I think all those factors play into what happens tonight.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Do you allow Max Scherz or to go through the
- 19:09Speaker 5: lineup a second time a third time? I think that's
- 19:12Speaker 5: so dependent on the score how Max Scherzer looks. You know,
- 19:15Speaker 5: if the Dodgers are able to come or sorry, if
- 19:17Speaker 5: the Blue Jes are able to come out and score
- 19:19Speaker 5: some runs early and give Max a little bit bigger
- 19:23Speaker 5: of a cushion, much like you saw in Seattle. I
- 19:27Speaker 5: think his leash is a little bit longer if the
- 19:29Speaker 5: game gets a little bit tighter. Are they gonna kind
- 19:32Speaker 5: of remember what happened in game two with Gosman who
- 19:35Speaker 5: is cruising? And do they go by the new book?
- 19:37Speaker 5: If he's not gonna face these guys for the third time,
- 19:41Speaker 5: I guess we're gonna find out. I mean, I think
- 19:43Speaker 5: it's really gonna be determined on you know, what Max
- 19:45Speaker 5: ures are we see? And then you know what does
- 19:47Speaker 5: the scoreboard look like.

- 20:52Speaker 2: Did anybody discuss what happened in game two, the big thing,
- 20:57Speaker 2: the Jonas Brothers concert that broke out in the middle
- 20:59Speaker 2: of the game for no anybody knows why reason, Like,
- 21:03Speaker 2: does anyone think that maybe that's why the Blue Jays
- 21:06Speaker 2: lost in Gosman, Maybe lost a little bit because you
- 21:08Speaker 2: had to sit there a little bit extra. I don't know.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It's kind of crazy that they're like, hey, we're gonna
- 21:12Speaker 2: stand up to cancer, which is always awesome. I love
- 21:15Speaker 2: the stand up to Cancer thing with MasterCard, and then
- 21:17Speaker 2: all of a sudden they're like, oh, by the way
- 21:18Speaker 2: out in right center, the Jonas Brothers are gonna perform
- 21:21Speaker 2: a song, so we're gonna wait twenty minutes. Like, was
- 21:23Speaker 2: that the one of the weirdest things you've ever seen?
- 21:25Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:26Speaker 2: It was.
- 21:26Speaker 5: It was weird, just you know, given the fact that
- 21:29Speaker 5: you know, it's this very somber moment where you know,
- 21:33Speaker 5: if you've ever you know, been around someone or know
- 21:37Speaker 5: someone or someone within your family, you know, cancer is
- 21:39Speaker 5: obviously a thing that.
- 21:42Speaker 4: You know, affects a lot of people.
- 21:43Speaker 5: And you know, I have a great friend and colleague,
- 21:46Speaker 5: and you know Jamie Campbell who went through cancer, Buck
- 21:49Speaker 5: Martinez went through cancer, So you know, a moment for
- 21:51Speaker 5: like a lot of us, uh in the sports Net family,
- 21:55Speaker 5: it's a very emotional moment. You know, we had people
- 21:57Speaker 5: within our you know staff too, that have family members
- 22:00Speaker 5: going through it. It just fell out of place to
- 22:03Speaker 5: have the concert go on right after, which was an
- 22:06Speaker 5: additional break. You know, in hindsight, you know, maybe they
- 22:10Speaker 5: could have had the concert, but maybe that was the
- 22:12Speaker 5: time when you know, the teams took the field. Maybe
- 22:15Speaker 5: that was that during that commercial break where you know,
- 22:17Speaker 5: maybe they're performing while the guys are warming up. But
- 22:20Speaker 5: it did end up being this really long break. It
- 22:25Speaker 5: wasn't really discussed in the moment, but I think a
- 22:28Speaker 5: lot of us kind of have you know, had a
- 22:30Speaker 5: chance to kind of look back and reflect on it.
- 22:32Speaker 4: And he did.
- 22:33Speaker 5: He was able to get through that inning following it,
- 22:36Speaker 5: but you know, it just seemed out of place, and
- 22:39Speaker 5: maybe it did have effect on the players.
- 22:40Speaker 4: You know, the game was so good, so.
- 22:43Speaker 5: Competitive, it had such great flow to it, and then
- 22:46Speaker 5: there was this long, extended break and it just kind
- 22:49Speaker 5: of felt a little out of place given how the
- 22:52Speaker 5: game was going to that point, and you know, knowing
- 22:56Speaker 5: Kevin Gosman being around him, you know, getting a chance
- 22:59Speaker 5: to work with Caleb Joseph that caught him for many
- 23:02Speaker 5: years and was in the clubhouse with him. It was
- 23:04Speaker 5: very you know, he's not a guy who's ever gonna
- 23:06Speaker 5: make excuses, but you know, we've all been there. You
- 23:09Speaker 5: know it's something will never make an excuse, but it
- 23:12Speaker 5: definitely I think affected the way that the game was going,
- 23:15Speaker 5: the way both starting pitchers were just kind of going
- 23:18Speaker 5: out there getting into a groove. And you know, hopefully
- 23:21Speaker 5: it's something that maybe major League Baseball kind of maybe
- 23:24Speaker 5: learns from and maybe decides not to do it, or
- 23:27Speaker 5: maybe they do it. Like I said, as kind of
- 23:29Speaker 5: that commercial break while the players are on the field
- 23:31Speaker 5: getting ready for the next inning.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Is the Dodgers offense good? When you watch him and
- 23:38Speaker 2: you look back at how much they've scored in the postseason,
- 23:41Speaker 2: I think it's just they've just averaged just over three
- 23:44Speaker 2: runs per game. Are they actually are they actually good?
- 23:50Speaker 2: Or is it something that you sit there and you go,
- 23:55Speaker 2: maybe this offense just isn't gonna start clicking in the postseason.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's a I think it's a fair
- 24:01Speaker 5: I think it's a fair point. You know, obviously, being
- 24:06Speaker 5: at the stadium and being able to look up at
- 24:09Speaker 5: the scoreboard and you see the lineups. You see the
- 24:12Speaker 5: ops is, you see the names. If you look at
- 24:16Speaker 5: the names, and if we were playing in a silo,
- 24:19Speaker 5: you would say the Dodgers lineup is better than the
- 24:21Speaker 5: Blue Jays. But when you look at the numbers following
- 24:24Speaker 5: their names, pretty much everyone in the Blue Jays lineup,
- 24:28Speaker 5: you know one through nine has a better OPS.
- 24:31Speaker 4: You know. I think at this point you have to
- 24:33Speaker 4: go off of.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Recent history, you know, and not the back of the
- 24:36Speaker 5: baseball card. It's what have you done for me lately,
- 24:39Speaker 5: especially in the postseason, And I think right now the
- 24:41Speaker 5: Blue Jays have a better offense. I think they have
- 24:43Speaker 5: a more complete offense. I think there's much more balance
- 24:46Speaker 5: up and down the lineup. The way that the Blue
- 24:49Speaker 5: Jays lineup flows is a lot different than the way
- 24:52Speaker 5: the Dodgers' lineup flows. I heard you guys talking about,
- 24:54Speaker 5: you know, PAHs at the bottom and Taoscar in the
- 24:57Speaker 5: middle of that lineup have a slightly differ an approach
- 25:00Speaker 5: than you know, everyone else in that lineup. And when
- 25:03Speaker 5: you don't have this nine on one attack, this collective approach,
- 25:08Speaker 5: it's a little bit easier to navigate through that lineup.
- 25:11Speaker 5: And I guess I would ask both of you guys.
- 25:13Speaker 5: You guys were two guys that sat back there and
- 25:16Speaker 5: navigated lineups for a living.
- 25:19Speaker 4: I mean, whose lineup would you rather face right now?
- 25:22Speaker 5: One that is feels like it's a bunch of individuals
- 25:25Speaker 5: with the baseball resume and the back of the baseball
- 25:29Speaker 5: card who kind of has their own idea of how
- 25:33Speaker 5: they want to attack the picture where you have nine
- 25:35Speaker 5: guys that are all pulling on the same rope, you know,
- 25:38Speaker 5: making it really really tough for you to get to
- 25:40Speaker 5: the next guy. I mean, I guess it's a better
- 25:42Speaker 5: question for you guys to answer.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I mean, I'd rather face the guys that don't I'd
- 25:46Speaker 2: rather face the guys you can strike out pitch to.
- 25:48Speaker 2: The guys that don't strike out are the ones that
- 25:49Speaker 2: are pains in the ass, right, the guys that put
- 25:51Speaker 2: the ball in play, the guys that put pressure on you.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Those are the ones that you're like, gosh, they foul
- 25:55Speaker 2: a ton of balls off. You're like, man, we just
- 25:57Speaker 2: strike out already, Like just get this bat over. Or
- 26:00Speaker 2: there are times literally where I was catching them like
- 26:01Speaker 2: can we just get this about over with, because foul ball,
- 26:03Speaker 2: foul ball, foul ball, one through nine, one through and
- 26:05Speaker 2: they're like, jeez. Next thing you know, you look up
- 26:06Speaker 2: and you're in the fifth inning. Your pitcher's got eighty
- 26:08Speaker 2: five ninety pitches like that, and if you get guys listen,
- 26:11Speaker 2: home runs are cool. And this is one of the
- 26:13Speaker 2: things why I think we've learned now in the postseason
- 26:15Speaker 2: of the last few year's KP is if you have
- 26:17Speaker 2: a team that puts the ball and play and can
- 26:18Speaker 2: hit home runs, they're tough to beat in the playoffs. Right, Yes,
- 26:22Speaker 2: home runs are great. If you have a bunch of
- 26:23Speaker 2: guys that hit home runs, kind of like what the
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yankees have become over the last few years, you can
- 26:28Speaker 2: pitch to them and if they don't hit home runs
- 26:30Speaker 2: there they're pretty easy outs and you can get through
- 26:32Speaker 2: them quickly. Right. But the Blue Jays can do both,
- 26:35Speaker 2: and the Dodgers have been able to do both, just
- 26:38Speaker 2: they don't have a lot of guys going right now,
- 26:40Speaker 2: and that's a credit to the Jay's pitching. In the
- 26:43Speaker 2: first two games, I feel.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Like, yeah, I mean, I think the Blue Jays, you know,
- 26:49Speaker 5: being around them and being around the hitting coaches. I
- 26:51Speaker 5: think they were able to kind of almost reverse engineer
- 26:54Speaker 5: what they've been able to do in the playoffs. I
- 26:56Speaker 5: think they early on in the season they preached this
- 26:59Speaker 5: very collect of approach contact, and I think, you know,
- 27:03Speaker 5: as they were able to advance in the season obviously
- 27:07Speaker 5: get to the point where they're at is you know,
- 27:09Speaker 5: they they understand that they have this these separate tools
- 27:12Speaker 5: in their in their in their back. You know, at
- 27:15Speaker 5: any time they could bring out you know, the aight iron,
- 27:17Speaker 5: the nine iron, the pitching wedge, and you know, just
- 27:21Speaker 5: put the ball in play and you know, take your
- 27:22Speaker 5: hit the other way. You know, once you have that
- 27:25Speaker 5: as a foundation and you start to encourage guys, hey
- 27:28Speaker 5: maybe early in the count, let's bring out the driver.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Let's take a couple of shots early in the count,
- 27:32Speaker 5: because we know ultimately we can go back to who
- 27:35Speaker 5: we are as a team and just put the ball
- 27:37Speaker 5: in play and fight pitches off. So you have to
- 27:40Speaker 5: give a lot of credit for you know, the the
- 27:42Speaker 5: new hitting philosophy that was brought in, but you have
- 27:44Speaker 5: to give a lot of credit to the players to
- 27:46Speaker 5: be able to buy into this, because we both know
- 27:49Speaker 5: this is a OPS get it done league. If you
- 27:52Speaker 5: want to survive, if you want to make tons of
- 27:54Speaker 5: money in this game, you have to do it a
- 27:56Speaker 5: certain way in order to get paid. For these guys
- 27:59Speaker 5: to understand in that Okay, you're you're telling me that
- 28:03Speaker 5: I not necessarily need to slug early on the year,
- 28:06Speaker 5: but we need to buy into this team approach that
- 28:09Speaker 5: is gonna make it hard on pitchers. And as we
- 28:12Speaker 5: kind of established that, then we can start to you know,
- 28:15Speaker 5: turn our focus to slugging a little bit more as
- 28:17Speaker 5: a team. And you know, I wish it was as
- 28:19Speaker 5: easy as you know, John Schnyder kind of made it
- 28:22Speaker 5: seem when they flew to Seattle and he talked about
- 28:25Speaker 5: his team needing to what was the quote he used,
- 28:28Speaker 5: you know, less jabs and more uppercuts, And I mean,
- 28:31Speaker 5: certainly from that moment on, you know, I think they
- 28:34Speaker 5: lead you know, all teams in in the postseason. You know,
- 28:37Speaker 5: obviously they played more games, but you know, slug average
- 28:40Speaker 5: ops all those things. So you know, credit to the players,
- 28:43Speaker 5: credit to the hitting staff, the collective group here of
- 28:47Speaker 5: being able to I guess get guys to understand if
- 28:51Speaker 5: you put the ball in play more often, you're probably
- 28:53Speaker 5: gonna slug a little bit more. They're just playing the odds.
- 28:56Speaker 5: You know, if you move, if you advanced the ball
- 28:57Speaker 5: in the right direction, you know, you have a greater
- 29:00Speaker 5: chance of you know, slugging and getting on base.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Hey, KP, what did you see from bobashett in the
- 29:08Speaker 1: first two? Obviously didn't start in the second one just
- 29:10Speaker 1: appeared briefly, But it sounds like, obviously he's in the
- 29:15Speaker 1: starting lineup for game three, they're going to potentially try
- 29:18Speaker 1: to get him in there a little bit more. I mean,
- 29:21Speaker 1: now you've got three games in a row, there is
- 29:24Speaker 1: a clear cut difference in offense. So what would you
- 29:27Speaker 1: do when What do you think happens over the next three.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I think what they did I was,
- 29:34Speaker 5: you know, I go back to when he when I
- 29:37Speaker 5: found out he was in the starting lineup, I was
- 29:39Speaker 5: a little bit shocked that he was in the starting lineup.
- 29:42Speaker 5: I thought he was going to be a guy that
- 29:43Speaker 5: was going to make the roster. They had a spot
- 29:46Speaker 5: on the roster that was kind of being utilized by
- 29:48Speaker 5: someone that more than likely wasn't going to play unless
- 29:51Speaker 5: it was emergencies. I felt like Bo was going to
- 29:54Speaker 5: be a guy that was kind of there as a decoy,
- 29:58Speaker 5: but good enough to kind of pin You know, Bobi
- 30:01Speaker 5: shit is one of the best hitters in baseball, regardless
- 30:03Speaker 5: if he hasn't played in six or seven weeks or not. Like,
- 30:06Speaker 5: he just knows how to have a professional at bat.
- 30:09Speaker 5: He was born to be in the batter's box, you know,
- 30:12Speaker 5: think about his dad had, the way he grew up.
- 30:14Speaker 4: He's just one of the best peer hitters in baseball.
- 30:16Speaker 5: I felt like he was going to be used as
- 30:18Speaker 5: a guy off the bench.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Do we go to the lefty, do we go to
- 30:22Speaker 4: the righty?
- 30:22Speaker 5: How do we want to kind of navigate once we
- 30:24Speaker 5: get into the bullpen. But they felt like he was
- 30:27Speaker 5: good enough to play second base, and obviously you saw
- 30:31Speaker 5: what he was capable of. He made this unbelievable play
- 30:34Speaker 5: up the middle, a play he probably hasn't made since
- 30:36Speaker 5: he was in the early minor leagues.
- 30:38Speaker 4: But Bobishitt is a baseball player.
- 30:40Speaker 5: He's an athlete. You just put him on the field.
- 30:41Speaker 5: He's going to figure out a way to be successful
- 30:44Speaker 5: coming back from six weeks off. You have to understand it.
- 30:49Speaker 5: It's not as easy as hey just go out there
- 30:51Speaker 5: and play like normally guys would go on a rehab
- 30:53Speaker 5: assignment and they would kind of have this slight maybe
- 30:56Speaker 5: progression of you know, five innings day off seven innings.
- 31:01Speaker 5: You know the fact that George probably isn't one hundred
- 31:04Speaker 5: percent either and hasn't played the outfield in a long
- 31:06Speaker 5: time makes some decisions a little bit tougher on them.
- 31:09Speaker 5: But I mean credit to bo going out there. You know,
- 31:13Speaker 5: giving him six six innings on Day one, probably could
- 31:16Speaker 5: have played longer.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Fortunately for the Blue.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Jays, that game got a little bit out of hand.
- 31:19Speaker 5: He was able to get some rest. To go back
- 31:22Speaker 5: to back was probably a lot to ask for him.
- 31:25Speaker 5: But the fact he was able to kind of pinch it,
- 31:28Speaker 5: you know, hit a ball really hard too, is just
- 31:32Speaker 5: kind of setting the foundation for what I think is
- 31:34Speaker 5: going to happen moving forward. And I think he's going
- 31:37Speaker 5: to be in the starting lineup today. You know, if
- 31:40Speaker 5: he has no setbacks, how he bounces back, you know,
- 31:43Speaker 5: maybe they find a way later in the game, seventh
- 31:46Speaker 5: or eighth inning, you know, to pinch run or to
- 31:48Speaker 5: bring someone in for defense. But I expect the training
- 31:51Speaker 5: wheels to be coming off here soon. Is it going
- 31:54Speaker 5: to be as soon as tomorrow? I don't know. I
- 31:57Speaker 5: think kind of the way the scoreboard, the outcome of
- 32:01Speaker 5: today's game, are they up to one down, two to one,
- 32:04Speaker 5: I think is gonna play a big factor. But you know,
- 32:07Speaker 5: for someone that got hurt a little bit later in
- 32:09Speaker 5: his career, I'm sure you guys went through kind of
- 32:11Speaker 5: that rehab process of you know, your progression. It's hard
- 32:15Speaker 5: to just jump back in a game and play nine
- 32:16Speaker 5: and nine. You know, having these couple this off day
- 32:20Speaker 5: probably allowed him to get his feet underneath the little more.
- 32:23Speaker 5: But I think the training wheels are coming off, and
- 32:25Speaker 5: I wouldn't be surprised to see him out there for
- 32:27Speaker 5: three straight.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I hope so, I mean, I agree. It
- 32:32Speaker 1: definitely helps the offense, no doubt, and you're gonna need
- 32:35Speaker 1: everything you can get. And it worked out for them
- 32:37Speaker 1: in game one. KP. Awesome stuff. Man, you're crushing that
- 32:40Speaker 1: out there. I hope you're having a fun, which I
- 32:41Speaker 1: hope you're having fun with just a quick transition right
- 32:44Speaker 1: to the media life. So keep doing your thing. Thanks
- 32:47Speaker 1: for hopping on again, great insight, and we'll talk to
- 32:50Speaker 1: you soon. Okay, I see you guys. Hey, if you
- 32:55Speaker 1: want to take care of yourself, your body, and everything

- 33:23Speaker 2: a supplement which they provide. I'm gonna go ahead and
- 33:26Speaker 2: look at that in my daily workouts which they give
- 33:29Speaker 2: so many different ideas of how to make sure your
- 33:33Speaker 2: deficiencies become some of your superpowers.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Superpower used to cost four ingred ninety nine dollars. Head

- 33:46Speaker 1: you how you heard about them, and make sure you
- 33:48Speaker 1: mention ft your biology decoded, your blueprint activated with Superpower. Guys,
- 33:55Speaker 1: I just learned something the other day that I think
- 33:57Speaker 1: you'll both appreciate. A j Do you know how many
- 34:01Speaker 1: team meetings the Blue Jays have had this year?
- 34:05Speaker 2: I hope zero?
- 34:07Speaker 3: Zero?
- 34:07Speaker 2: Answer is zero? Good? You know, what you're right.
- 34:10Speaker 1: There were stories about it because the other day after
- 34:12Speaker 1: Game one, after they won, writers found out that they
- 34:16Speaker 1: were chatting, and Blue Jays players and coaches made sure
- 34:19Speaker 1: the writers didn't write that it was a team meeting.
- 34:20Speaker 1: They said it was a one minute ish congratula, liatory
- 34:23Speaker 1: conversation to tell everyone we deserve to be here. Technically,
- 34:28Speaker 1: that's a meeting in my mind. But anyway, and especially
- 34:31Speaker 1: if it was a few minutes, no, maybe not, but anyway,
- 34:33Speaker 1: they wanted to let everyone know we don't do team
- 34:35Speaker 1: meetings this year because we haven't had issues like that.
- 34:41Speaker 2: The game used to say, good teams win, bad teams
- 34:45Speaker 2: have meetings, so they are a good team. They've won,
- 34:47Speaker 2: so they don't need any meetings I team meetings or
- 34:50Speaker 2: other than to get a good chuckle out of me.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Most of the time, team meetings were like okay, this guy,
- 34:54Speaker 2: what are we doing? You know? Players stand up and
- 34:57Speaker 2: rah rah players coaches throw the spread, like come on, man,
- 35:00Speaker 2: we all we're professionals at this point. It's not that
- 35:04Speaker 2: it's not that deep, guys. I can't wait till Salvi
- 35:08Speaker 2: comes on. We'll talk about our one team meeting after
- 35:11Speaker 2: we got in three bench clearing brawls by the end
- 35:13Speaker 2: of April as a team, and then Ned Yost called
- 35:17Speaker 2: a team meeting. Anyway, it'll be a good Salvago Perez,
- 35:22Speaker 2: So put it down in your notes. And whenever Salvey
- 35:24Speaker 2: answers my FaceTime call, he'll.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Come on, big honk of meat. What's the beef or
- 35:29Speaker 1: all this? Chapman. On a podcast in the past twenty
- 35:33Speaker 1: four hours, Swing com Plato absolutely blasted the team that
- 35:38Speaker 1: he spent parts of seven seasons with the New York Yankees,
- 35:41Speaker 1: and remember, I think this is important context. Twenty twenty
- 35:45Speaker 1: two left off the Yankees Alds roster after he missed
- 35:48Speaker 1: a mandatory team workout, failed to provide, in Aaron Boone's words,
- 35:52Speaker 1: quote inacceptable excuse for that absence. So here's what he
- 35:56Speaker 1: said on the podcast. When asked if he would go
- 36:01Speaker 1: back to the Yankees potential reunion with the Yankees, he said,
- 36:04Speaker 1: no way, not even dead. If I were told that
- 36:07Speaker 1: I was being traded to New York, I'd pack my
- 36:08Speaker 1: things and go home. I'll retire right on the spot
- 36:11Speaker 1: if that happens. I'm not crazy, never again. I dealt
- 36:13Speaker 1: with a lot of disrespect there. I put up with
- 36:15Speaker 1: a lot of things. I knew that they just wanted
- 36:16Speaker 1: to find a way to get rid of me, but
- 36:18Speaker 1: they didn't know how. And I just dealt with it quietly,
- 36:20Speaker 1: kept playing and doing what I always do. I got
- 36:22Speaker 1: along well with all the players, never had a problem
- 36:24Speaker 1: with anybody, even the manager. We're friends and we talk
- 36:27Speaker 1: and everything. The bosses are the ones who make those decisions.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Craps.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You played with him. What happened?
- 36:34Speaker 2: I have no idea what happened, but I was surprised
- 36:37Speaker 2: when he was down in Florida and they had a
- 36:41Speaker 2: mandatory workout on an off day and he said, I'll
- 36:44Speaker 2: get there for the game, and they said, you're not
- 36:48Speaker 2: on the roster, Like this is a guy that has
- 36:51Speaker 2: performed well, and he was on the outs there. You know,
- 36:56Speaker 2: to me, that looked like it was going to be
- 36:57Speaker 2: like the end of his career. And now he's probably
- 37:00Speaker 2: gonna win Mariano. Ironically, Mariano rivera Relief Pitcher of the
- 37:06Speaker 2: Year award. I don't know what happened. I don't know this.
- 37:14Speaker 2: This seemed like a lot. He just kind of came out.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I thought he liked it in New York. I mean
- 37:19Speaker 2: he went back there after he got traded to the Cubs. Remember,
- 37:21Speaker 2: I don't know what happened. This is just hey, this
- 37:23Speaker 2: is Laguera said he never go there. Remember what he
- 37:25Speaker 2: said before he became a free agent. Oh yeah, Mane,
- 37:28Speaker 2: I was wrong. I was just kidding, ha ha, Like
- 37:31Speaker 2: I don't know, but does that beef? So does? Apparently
- 37:37Speaker 2: so does?
- 37:37Speaker 1: Uh?
- 37:38Speaker 2: The world is chatman, And you know what, he ain't
- 37:41Speaker 2: gonna go there anyways, because then he just signed another
- 37:42Speaker 2: deal with the Red Sox. The Red Sox ain't gonna
- 37:45Speaker 2: trade him to the Yankees. So I think he's good
- 37:47Speaker 2: for now.
- 37:48Speaker 1: This is his dream now, Aja, now that it's out
- 37:51Speaker 1: how much he hates the Yankees. He is, in the
- 37:53Speaker 1: dream scenario, one of the best closers in baseball, pitching
- 37:58Speaker 1: for the team that is the bitter rival. This is
- 38:01Speaker 1: his dream now. It all makes sense.
- 38:05Speaker 2: But it's such a great year and him. I would
- 38:09Speaker 2: love to find out what his other team, what his
- 38:11Speaker 2: other teams that he was going like that were offering
- 38:15Speaker 2: him contrast, because he was like, wait a minute, come on, puppy,
- 38:19Speaker 2: I can go up against the Yankees. I know who
- 38:22Speaker 2: hates I know who the Yankees hate more than anybody,
- 38:25Speaker 2: and I mean during that time, during that twenty one
- 38:29Speaker 2: twenty two time, I had just left there. So there
- 38:31Speaker 2: was guys that were you know that I knew, you know,
- 38:33Speaker 2: there was there was definitely some stuff that the front
- 38:36Speaker 2: office wasn't putting up with, and maybe there was some
- 38:39Speaker 2: things that hey, you know what, we're not putting up
- 38:42Speaker 2: with this. We're not putting up with the way you
- 38:44Speaker 2: do a certain thing, how you handle a certain thing,
- 38:47Speaker 2: which is weird because as veterans, you can you can
- 38:52Speaker 2: not that you can miss a workout, but as a closer,
- 38:56Speaker 2: the guy goes down to the bullpen and like the
- 38:58Speaker 2: sixth inning, you need him there for a mandatory workout.
- 39:01Speaker 2: There had to be there had to be other things.
- 39:04Speaker 2: There had to be things that precipitated just that one instance,
- 39:09Speaker 2: and they said, you know what, we're gonna part ways,
- 39:12Speaker 2: and they did, and now he's pitching well for the
- 39:16Speaker 2: Red Sox. So it's kind of like a little extra
- 39:18Speaker 2: motivation at thirty seven for Chappie.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's also not a guy with a fitness issue. He
- 39:23Speaker 1: keeps himself in pretty damn good shape. I mean, he's
- 39:26Speaker 1: a freaking truck so aj do you think that, I mean,
- 39:31Speaker 1: without knowing the case by case. Here Chapman kind of
- 39:35Speaker 1: does his own thing a little bit, and the Yankees
- 39:38Speaker 1: don't like that style.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Everybody does their own things, Scott, have you not? Have
- 39:43Speaker 2: you not watched baseball? Guys don't hit on the field,
- 39:45Speaker 2: Guys throw when they want to, Guys go to the
- 39:47Speaker 2: bullpen when they want to. Like, this is not a
- 39:49Speaker 2: new thing. This is the last ten years. This has
- 39:51Speaker 2: been happening. So show hey does his own thing, right,
- 39:54Speaker 2: I mean, they all do their own thing now. So
- 39:56Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. I think like it's kind
- 39:58Speaker 2: of what Crad said something else. It's probably happened that
- 40:00Speaker 2: we don't know about, and the Yankees just were fed
- 40:03Speaker 2: up with it and it just led one. It's kind
- 40:05Speaker 2: of like one thing, and it wasn't one thing. It
- 40:06Speaker 2: was a culmination of a bunch of accumulation of a
- 40:09Speaker 2: bunch of things. So I don't I don't know. But
- 40:11Speaker 2: you know what, Chubby, you had a great year, and
- 40:14Speaker 2: say whatever you want. You don't want to go back
- 40:15Speaker 2: to the Yankees, you don't have to. Okay, that's it.
- 40:17Speaker 2: They're not gonna trade you there anyway, so you'll be fine.
- 40:19Speaker 2: But I love it. I love it add field to
- 40:21Speaker 2: the fire of the rivalry.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Let's go, oh yeah, this ads beef to next year? Kratz,
- 40:27Speaker 1: Is there specific timing, like are the Yankees stricter about
- 40:31Speaker 1: when you have to show up to something? Do you
- 40:33Speaker 1: have any guesses as to what would cause this? Or
- 40:36Speaker 1: you just think there were some specific situations that occurred
- 40:40Speaker 1: that we don't know everything about. And that's what he
- 40:43Speaker 1: was hinting at. He disagreed with them on some things
- 40:46Speaker 1: and ended up hating them and it ended poorly. As
- 40:49Speaker 1: I mentioned that part. We do know. We do know
- 40:52Speaker 1: twenty twenty two left off there because you didn't attend
- 40:55Speaker 1: this workout. That's the only thing we know. Like you
- 40:56Speaker 1: guys said, probably more that occurred, spent a lot of time.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I'm there too, seven years.
- 41:02Speaker 2: But like even like you know, the shave policy and
- 41:09Speaker 2: stuff like, come on, like, guys, Scott, you make more
- 41:14Speaker 2: of a big deal. You made more of a big
- 41:15Speaker 2: deal out of it than any player that I ever
- 41:17Speaker 2: played with. Did they mention it? Yeah, But like there's
- 41:21Speaker 2: no strict rules. Boonie's very good at like talking to
- 41:25Speaker 2: guys about Hey, you know what you know, it's fine
- 41:28Speaker 2: if you do this, like during COVID. I lived at
- 41:30Speaker 2: my house two hours away from Yankee Stadium. Like if
- 41:33Speaker 2: they were like the strict organization where it's like, hey,
- 41:36Speaker 2: you got to do this and you gotta be in
- 41:38Speaker 2: a team hotel and you gotta know, they just want
- 41:40Speaker 2: dudes to come to the ballpark, work hard and get
- 41:44Speaker 2: stuff done. Now, Chappie doesn't lift at the ballpark. Was
- 41:48Speaker 2: that part of it? Like He's like, I'm gonna go
- 41:50Speaker 2: to La Fitness whenever i want because look at this physique.
- 41:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna lift the way I want. You know, maybe
- 41:57Speaker 2: that was part of it, but I just we're only speculating,
- 42:01Speaker 2: and speculating doesn't get us anywhere. So to me, it
- 42:05Speaker 2: wasn't just one instance.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Okay, that's good to know. That's still helpful insight. Hey's
- 42:14Speaker 1: f tea presented by Fox one and a reminder to
- 42:16Speaker 1: everyone that the World Series continues this week and aj
- 42:20Speaker 1: if someone doesn't have cable, for example, what could they do?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Hint it's below you.
- 42:26Speaker 2: They could stream and get their free seven day trial.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Especially to finish the World Series on Fox One. You
- 42:31Speaker 2: had all the sports, you get a big noon, you
- 42:34Speaker 2: had all the shows, you get everything that Fox has
- 42:37Speaker 2: to offer and sometimes next year if you keep it,
- 42:39Speaker 2: you'll get me calling games. So just go to foxone
- 42:41Speaker 2: dot com. It's a little app you can have. I've
- 42:44Speaker 2: watched it plenty of times. It's really easy.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Walking by walking by the app. You never played like
- 42:54Speaker 1: the Shadow game where you could like make a shadow
- 42:58Speaker 1: all right, big leaguers. Yeah, anyway, a QR cote on
- 43:02Speaker 1: the screen seven day free trial foxwe dot com while
- 43:07Speaker 1: we have a moment and there you go, there's Brady
- 43:09Speaker 1: and Company. Thank you? Can we show this tweet from
- 43:12Speaker 1: Ben Nicholson Smith. People want to know what stars say
- 43:15Speaker 1: to other stars. Flatty Junior talking about his interactions with
- 43:20Speaker 1: Otani during the World Series, he said, they talk in
- 43:22Speaker 1: English about family or maybe situations happening in the game.
- 43:25Speaker 1: He's always trying to get me to smile. I do
- 43:27Speaker 1: the same thing to him. I try. It's just normal.
- 43:30Speaker 1: He's a great guy. Aga. Have you seen some of
- 43:33Speaker 1: the faces from Otani. He'll make funny faces at first sometimes,
- 43:37Speaker 1: like when they said we don't need you and he was.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Like, ooh, yeah, I think he's going great. I think
- 43:44Speaker 2: Showtani has been great. He's come out of his shell
- 43:45Speaker 2: a little bit here in this world series, and it's
- 43:47Speaker 2: been fun to watch. You know what always cracks me
- 43:50Speaker 2: up is he hits these foul balls and he like
- 43:53Speaker 2: just like, oh, I'm so sorry to the other team.
- 43:55Speaker 2: I'd be like, man, I hope it's our best pitcher,
- 43:56Speaker 2: so that he didn't have to pitch against his like,
- 43:59Speaker 2: you know, like instead he's like, oh, I'm so sorry,
- 44:01Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I mean, it's been great to see
- 44:03Speaker 2: him come out of the show a little bit. And
- 44:05Speaker 2: you can see that all on Fox one.
- 44:07Speaker 1: That is correct. Yeah, more Otani faces. Yeah, but at
- 44:12Speaker 1: least three games left of that, hopefully maybe five if
- 44:15Speaker 1: you're just looking for the good stuff and for this
- 44:17Speaker 1: series to go seven. Hey, we're back for two minutes.
- 44:20Speaker 1: We hadn't gotten to this one yet. The Guardians denied.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Emmanuel Class has asked to pitch in Venezuela during this
- 44:25Speaker 1: MLBE investigation. He's from the DR they're also not letting
- 44:29Speaker 1: him play, and he's apparently suing the Dominican League and
- 44:32Speaker 1: the president of that league, and so is Luis Ortiz.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But wait, back up, back up, aj, don't players have
- 44:38Speaker 1: to get permission to participate in these winter leagues?
- 44:43Speaker 2: I thought of it. I thought they did crouch enough
- 44:45Speaker 2: to tell me that. I thought you had too. I
- 44:46Speaker 2: thought the team had to okay it. I didn't think
- 44:48Speaker 2: you could just go up go and say I'm playing
- 44:50Speaker 2: on my own. I've never other than a guy coming
- 44:53Speaker 2: off injury. I mean, obviously there's a whole different situation.
- 44:56Speaker 2: I've never heard of anybody being declined going if they
- 44:59Speaker 2: want to go and the organization thinks it's a good
- 45:01Speaker 2: thing for him. Now, if they were hurt or they
- 45:03Speaker 2: you know, played too much, maybe, but this whole thing
- 45:06Speaker 2: is weird. He wants to go pitch in Venezuela, but
- 45:08Speaker 2: he's not coming back to the US anytime soon if
- 45:10Speaker 2: any of these allegations are true. And we just saw
- 45:12Speaker 2: what happened in the NBA with all that going down,
- 45:14Speaker 2: So I don't know what he's going to do. But
- 45:17Speaker 2: I don't know he can't. I mean, he's technically still
- 45:20Speaker 2: part of the Guardians for now, right until he becomes
- 45:23Speaker 2: a free agent.
- 45:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I think he's been on paid lead the whole time,
- 45:27Speaker 1: so you're not getting paid by them and then doing
- 45:30Speaker 1: whatever you want. Sometimes krats guys are hurt and then
- 45:32Speaker 1: the teams are like, yeah, you're not playing in the
- 45:34Speaker 1: Winner League this year. Dude, we got to get you
- 45:36Speaker 1: back on the field.
- 45:37Speaker 2: It's a fight. It's a fight that some guys have
- 45:39Speaker 2: a lot of the Dominican Venezuelan guys they want to
- 45:42Speaker 2: play like that's their off season workouts is to play baseball.
- 45:46Speaker 2: And if Class A goes to Venezuela to play, he
- 45:50Speaker 2: makes more money because locals in winter ball don't make
- 45:53Speaker 2: that much money as much. Play another cud.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a long time. If you're in a
- 45:59Speaker 1: s you should be streaming in the weeds. Last thoughts
- 46:05Speaker 1: here previewing Game three, and then we'll have our postgame
- 46:08Speaker 1: show after Game three we can mix in now. Adrian
- 46:12Speaker 1: Johnson did not have a great performance and some Blue
- 46:15Speaker 1: Jays fans were pissed. I don't think you were stopping
- 46:17Speaker 1: Yamamoto either way. So how do you stop this train?
- 46:20Speaker 1: If you're Toronto and if you're the Dodgers, AJ, do
- 46:24Speaker 1: you think that Glass now will get a longer leash
- 46:26Speaker 1: than he usually does. I know it's game situation specific,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but if the stuff looks pretty good, even if he
- 46:32Speaker 1: gets touched up for a homer, you know, a run
- 46:34Speaker 1: here and there, do you have to stick to the
- 46:37Speaker 1: game plan if you're Doc Roberts and avoid bullpen at
- 46:39Speaker 1: all costs.
- 46:41Speaker 2: We their bullpen hasn't been great. I mean in this
- 46:43Speaker 2: postseason it's been Sazaki and now again with Vessie and
- 46:47Speaker 2: not there for personal reasons. It's been kind of a
- 46:49Speaker 2: hit or miss. So I think Gosta has got to
- 46:52Speaker 2: give him six. You know, He's gone out there and pitched.
- 46:54Speaker 2: And one thing we've learned about the Dodgers and Dave Roberts,
- 46:57Speaker 2: they adjust to their team this year. They're more starter
- 47:00Speaker 2: heavy than in the past had been bullpen heavy. So
- 47:02Speaker 2: what's he doing. He's leaning on his starters morning. I
- 47:04Speaker 2: think last night I will get to throw a hundred
- 47:06Speaker 2: to one hundred and ten pitches again and get ready
- 47:08Speaker 2: if they have a possible game seven. But yeah, I
- 47:10Speaker 2: think they're trying to go as deep as they can
- 47:12Speaker 2: with starters because normally in the past, Roberts would have
- 47:16Speaker 2: taken out Yamamoto even though he was throwing a gym
- 47:19Speaker 2: and said, oh, well one hundred pitches is the limit.
- 47:21Speaker 2: He let him go over one hundred and ten. So
- 47:23Speaker 2: it's a different Dodgers this year.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Very rested Roki Sasaki too. Keep that in mind, he
- 47:29Speaker 1: could go two innings. I mean, I know he's done three.
- 47:31Speaker 1: He could do three innings, like it's possible, right, this
- 47:33Speaker 1: is a tight game, crats and Roki puts in. Let's say
- 47:36Speaker 1: it's the seventh inning and that's where they feel like
- 47:39Speaker 1: it's Rokie time. They could keep riding them out if
- 47:42Speaker 1: they're up a run, they could do three innings like
- 47:44Speaker 1: he's capable.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Dan Wilson might need to cover his ears,
- 47:49Speaker 2: but you don't get to the ninth without getting through
- 47:51Speaker 2: the seventh and the eighth. Like it's it's okay to
- 47:56Speaker 2: like Glasnow's not going to give them tons of innings.
- 47:59Speaker 2: It's not about the inning tonight. It's what Aj said.
- 48:02Speaker 2: You know, I would say that range is probably anywhere
- 48:05Speaker 2: from ninety ninety five to one hundred and ten. I
- 48:09Speaker 2: think his last no, not his last start to start
- 48:11Speaker 2: against the Phillies, he was dealing with cramps. He was
- 48:15Speaker 2: dealing with his hand cramping up. He's just going to
- 48:17Speaker 2: take his glove off, and he was dealing with that.
- 48:19Speaker 2: So you know, there's a shelf life for him. But
- 48:22Speaker 2: essentially glass now stuff is reliever stuff. He just gets
- 48:25Speaker 2: to throw one hundred pitches. So yeah, I mean I
- 48:29Speaker 2: think I think if I were to send an over under,
- 48:32Speaker 2: I would say one hundred pitches and I would go,
- 48:34Speaker 2: he's gonna go under. But man, it's gonna be close.
- 48:37Speaker 2: He's They're just they're gonna throw him out there. Even
- 48:39Speaker 2: if it's like he gets gives up two or three runs,
- 48:42Speaker 2: three or four runs, I think they keep him in there.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Keep in mind, sometimes Glass now is a slow starter,
- 48:49Speaker 1: and then he gets ridiculous and dials it in. Sometimes
- 48:52Speaker 1: first or second inning is the problem spot, which is
- 48:54Speaker 1: the case for many starters, but for him in particular.
- 48:56Speaker 1: You can look at some numbers there and then he
- 48:58Speaker 1: just gets on a heater three through five or six.
- 49:01Speaker 2: So keep all the time, all the time. He walks, guys.
- 49:05Speaker 2: So if you're Dave Roberts and you're sitting there, going
- 49:08Speaker 2: he's got to be perfect. I can't take him out,
- 49:10Speaker 2: you know, I can't keep in there unless he's perfect.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Tonight's not the night. You gotta look at him and
- 49:16Speaker 2: be like, Okay, I see you know he overcooked that
- 49:20Speaker 2: high four seam fastball and that natural cut ran it
- 49:22Speaker 2: off the plate like the curveballs, never landing in the zone.
- 49:27Speaker 2: They're not swinging at that yard dart bounced curveball that
- 49:31Speaker 2: I think some teams do, so to me, that's how
- 49:33Speaker 2: you got to evaluate it. But he is he is
- 49:36Speaker 2: always going to walk somebody. I would take the over
- 49:39Speaker 2: of two or three walks here just because that's just
- 49:42Speaker 2: kind of where he's at. And can you navigate the
- 49:45Speaker 2: lineup and get your pitches where you're then striking out
- 49:48Speaker 2: to dudes?
- 49:49Speaker 1: And there is the upscore card for Adrian Johnson. He
- 49:53Speaker 1: ended up at an eighty seven percent correct call rate,
- 49:58Speaker 1: the lowest rated umpire this season had an average credit
- 50:02Speaker 1: call rate of eighty nine point seven percent. Johnson missed
- 50:06Speaker 1: fourteen calls. You know, watching this game, AJ, I didn't
- 50:09Speaker 1: feel like, oh this is egregious, but I mean there
- 50:12Speaker 1: are obviously a few misses, like it's not ideal, and
- 50:14Speaker 1: there were definitely some misses both you know in zone
- 50:17Speaker 1: called ball, out zone called strike that an ABS challenge
- 50:20Speaker 1: system would have wiped away next year. So it just
- 50:23Speaker 1: plays to the point from last year. I mean, I
- 50:26Speaker 1: said this last week, broken record, but Adrian Johnson's numbers
- 50:29Speaker 1: are not up to par for this. It just they're not.
- 50:33Speaker 2: It wasn't an awful game. I mean, it wasn't the worst.
- 50:35Speaker 2: I don't remember watching that game saying, oh we missed
- 50:37Speaker 2: that call was just terrible. I mean there was a
- 50:40Speaker 2: couple that were close here and there, so I don't know.
- 50:43Speaker 2: I mean, they.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Weren't strike threes. That's part of it too. They weren't
- 50:46Speaker 1: two strike misses. From what I recall, that was part
- 50:49Speaker 1: of it too. I'm looking now, you know. I mean
- 50:52Speaker 1: one of them was is at bottom of the ninth
- 50:54Speaker 1: Yamamoto versus Guerrero, O two count strike called a ball.
- 51:00Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, if you look at it, he
- 51:01Speaker 2: went for the Blue Jays. So the blue Jays answer
- 51:04Speaker 2: a complain almost.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Right right. It worked out in the Toronto favor and
- 51:11Speaker 1: it didn't matter. So just pointing it out though, just
- 51:13Speaker 1: to keep the accountability going. This was the one who
- 51:16Speaker 1: was rated much lower than everyone else, and yeah, he
- 51:19Speaker 1: definitely missed, but those misses didn't end up proving very
- 51:22Speaker 1: costly in the game. Sometimes you really feel it. It's
- 51:26Speaker 1: ft presented by Fox One slap Pans coming up next,
- 51:41Speaker 1: Hey real quick, because we keep getting coaching news. Jeff
- 51:44Speaker 1: Passingers reported Antoine Richardson, Mets first base coach didn't come
- 51:48Speaker 1: to terms with the Mets, and they loved him. I
- 51:51Speaker 1: know that from some direct sources. I don't know what
- 51:53Speaker 1: happened yet, But do you guys think it was like
- 51:55Speaker 1: a money thing. I mean, the Mets stole a lot
- 51:58Speaker 1: of bases. I mean, look at Wan Soto did this year.
- 52:00Speaker 1: They weren't all garbage time stolen bags like Richardson had.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Some of those guys really timed up what happens when
- 52:07Speaker 1: a guy doesn't come back. But it sounded like, I.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Don't know, it's weird. That's a weird one to me
- 52:11Speaker 2: that this seems like, you know, they go to Carlos
- 52:13Speaker 2: Mendoza say, you know you got to change coaches and
- 52:16Speaker 2: he was the sacrificial lamb. I don't know Kratz and
- 52:18Speaker 2: first base coaches, you have that big of an argument
- 52:20Speaker 2: over money. I've heard, I've heard of arguments for it,
- 52:24Speaker 2: but I mean, I don't know. You just never think
- 52:27Speaker 2: you hear that from the Mets.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he's fun personality. Maybe we'll get him on to
- 52:32Speaker 1: ask him about it. See you after the game. It's
- 52:40Speaker 1: the best time of the year to be a sports fan.
