- 1:25Speaker 5: That's what happens. Get on board with it. It's the
- 1:29Speaker 5: best thing going today. As Rick Flair used to say, whoa, whoa.
- 1:33Speaker 5: They don't need to sit in there trying to deny it.
- 1:36Speaker 5: If you didn't want them to beat the champ, you
- 1:38Speaker 5: should have beat them. They get to take everything with
- 1:41Speaker 5: them and celebrate. And if it's the world's number one
- 1:46Speaker 5: pop star, then she gets to go too. But all
- 1:49Speaker 5: that hate about oh, she shouldn't be in the promo
- 1:51Speaker 5: and why not? Why wouldn't you if you ran a business,

- 2:02Speaker 5: mom's you know, basement bathroom and really figure out how
- 2:06Speaker 5: life go. If you ran a business and it was legitimate,
- 2:12Speaker 5: and the resources that you could push and use are
- 2:15Speaker 5: legitimate to promote your business, why wouldn't you please smoke?
- 2:23Speaker 5: Signal me, Gmail, me, instagcart, auto pay something some kind
- 2:32Speaker 5: of way, send it to Big Kenny. Command you, Greg,
- 2:35Speaker 5: somebody do something? Tell me? Why wouldn't I What is
- 2:39Speaker 5: wrong with you people? Well? What is wrong with you people?
- 2:48Speaker 5: If I can get the three most popular people to
- 2:50Speaker 5: come to my restaurant every night and eat, why would
- 2:55Speaker 5: you care about my business? Ain't we ain't doing nothing criminal?
- 3:03Speaker 5: I really I'm hoping that by the end of this show,
- 3:05Speaker 5: Command She and Big Kennedy can help me out because
- 3:07Speaker 5: I'm losing it.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Folks.
- 3:09Speaker 5: I know a lot of you people watching the US
- 3:11Speaker 5: Open and a lot of things going. We got so
- 3:12Speaker 5: much to talk about. It ain't enough time. Everybody got
- 3:16Speaker 5: some some problems, every human, especially if they have reached
- 3:24Speaker 5: adult age. And I'm to my adult age. I'm talking
- 3:27Speaker 5: about thirteen. I'm not talking in twenty six. All this
- 3:33Speaker 5: this super leeway we like to give the world where
- 3:36Speaker 5: everybody you're not an adult to you thirty, No, you
- 3:39Speaker 5: when you thirteen, you remember make started making decisions that
- 3:44Speaker 5: you want it for yourself over authority. Up until that age,
- 3:50Speaker 5: you kind of gave way to what mom, dad, uncle's, sister, brother,
- 3:53Speaker 5: all those people might have said. Thirteen, you start thinking
- 3:56Speaker 5: for yourself, I'm gonna do mean, don't know if I'm
- 4:00Speaker 5: gonna do me right, But I started adding myself in it.
- 4:08Speaker 5: And now you get out here and all of you
- 4:10Speaker 5: got these issue. We all got issue. We all been
- 4:13Speaker 5: we all been bullied. Successful people have been bullied. We've
- 4:20Speaker 5: had doubt, we have canceled dates, we have had heartache.
- 4:30Speaker 5: If life was so grand and people would success and
- 4:33Speaker 5: money wouldn't kill themselves either while they jumping out of buildings.
- 4:39Speaker 5: If that was all it is. We all have it.
- 4:42Speaker 5: We're all every day fixing it, hoping that it can
- 4:47Speaker 5: brush off sooner or later. But when I read some
- 4:50Speaker 5: of this stuff, I don't even understand. So now that
- 4:54Speaker 5: the NFL decided that, hey man, we're gonna put some
- 4:58Speaker 5: Taylor Swift the promo to start the season, who kind
- 5:02Speaker 5: of pushed the numbers a little bit? Now, you, mad am,
- 5:05Speaker 5: you over Taylor? Get over yourself? Or better yet, how
- 5:12Speaker 5: about you go try them. Do either one of those jobs,
- 5:15Speaker 5: play football or b Taylor swiping? Go do either one
- 5:18Speaker 5: of them. I think I forgot learnerw did y'all just
- 5:28Speaker 5: let me go on so long.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Effort to know?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Oh nout a place the world for myself?
- 5:37Speaker 5: Murmur sir, Oh no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry for you.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I kind of blacked out there. I forgot. Where are we?
- 5:46Speaker 3: We're talking about business? You said if you were able
- 5:48Speaker 3: to do this the Sports Jock Show. Yes, it is
- 5:50Speaker 3: Sports Jock Show, And this is the financial segment where
- 5:54Speaker 3: you were talking about if you were a legitimate business
- 5:56Speaker 3: you used the number one pop star to fuel your business.
- 6:00Speaker 3: You ain't gotta be legitimate because I know somebody out
- 6:02Speaker 3: there right now with some z call it that Taylor Swift.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I got that Taylor Swift and everybody on somebody I'm
- 6:07Speaker 3: a swifty. I'm gonna go get that swim and some
- 6:11Speaker 3: of that long impact. I'm gonna get that traffic. Kelsey
- 6:14Speaker 3: that it's guarantee, guarantee, tough on the line, you know
- 6:19Speaker 3: what I'm saying, tough on the line.
- 6:21Speaker 1: So that's all right, sir. So I understand where you're
- 6:25Speaker 1: coming from.
- 6:27Speaker 5: In the building, in the building, watered down, filtered, kidding
- 6:31Speaker 5: the funny man himself. Man, you know we're all unbleedated.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Col Cob and I I just just the vibe.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Now you're gonna now you're gonna blame it on met
- 6:44Speaker 3: me drinking early in the morning.
- 6:46Speaker 5: I'm Jamie FOXX. I'm blaming on that call. And that
- 6:49Speaker 5: is number.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that is his.
- 6:51Speaker 5: I opened it, but I'm gonna blame it that I
- 6:53Speaker 5: had kind of mentally drink it with.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Look where it's from. That's why, that's that's why.
- 6:58Speaker 5: I state Arkansas.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that'll make you pork, pork, just permeate.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Let me even take a couple of steps that don't
- 7:07Speaker 3: take no steps back. Oh oh gas, no, break.
- 7:09Speaker 5: No, I think that muffing that got me.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'll see, I don't know what ed McMuffin, egg McMuffin.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I thought you said Ed not familiar with that man. Yeah,
- 7:22Speaker 3: but I like his aggressive spirit.
- 7:24Speaker 5: I just kind of got the zone there. But good
- 7:27Speaker 5: Morning football is back? Did I say that?
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yes?
- 7:30Speaker 3: Okay, okay, undefeated, but they undefeated. That's not what I'm
- 7:39Speaker 3: talking about, sir. I don't think that changed the narrative
- 7:42Speaker 3: any that they don't play tonight Thursday.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Night football to kick off the season. The Champions of
- 7:48Speaker 5: the Chiefs hicking on Baltimore. Uh, we guess we will
- 7:52Speaker 5: get a little at Lamar Jackson tonight. We guess we'll
- 7:55Speaker 5: get a little bit. He's expected there hearing tonight. They're
- 7:59Speaker 5: expected to Okay, So this, yeah, this one, we haven't
- 8:04Speaker 5: seen them either. One in the preseason.
- 8:06Speaker 1: That was Week zero.
- 8:08Speaker 3: That was week zero to NFL, the first four weeks
- 8:11Speaker 3: of the NFL like Week zero night it counts.
- 8:14Speaker 5: So tonight it will be going down in Kansas City.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Rings will be given out. I'm quite sure Taylor Swift
- 8:20Speaker 5: will try to probably do at least a promo uh
- 8:24Speaker 5: in the game, and everything will go back to how
- 8:27Speaker 5: it was a couple of months.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Ago, and and I just want to ask, what is
- 8:30Speaker 3: it that if anybody has any problem with just this
- 8:34Speaker 3: all being about promotion and business, why do you think
- 8:38Speaker 3: they have these two teams the first game of the
- 8:41Speaker 3: season on a Thursday night. It's so we can sell stuff.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Everybody's gonna tune in to this. We're gonna sell some music,
- 8:49Speaker 3: will probably throw some some household products in there. Of course,
- 8:54Speaker 3: there'll be some ads for beer and cars and cars.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Then then you'll throw insurance, some furnishings. I'm telling you
- 9:03Speaker 3: there'll be a.
- 9:03Speaker 7: You can look at tomorrow where the Eagles and Packers
- 9:07Speaker 7: are playing in Brazil, so they can sell stuff to Brazil.
- 9:12Speaker 7: We sell into anybody around the.
- 9:14Speaker 3: World, anybody in every They taking bets on if we'll
- 9:17Speaker 3: see Lamar and Derek Kennedy. There's a part light if
- 9:22Speaker 3: we see them by the third minute of the first quarter.
- 9:27Speaker 5: I have no idea how people think business run. I
- 9:31Speaker 5: get the part where you sometimes and you can feel
- 9:34Speaker 5: that businesses could do better things for their employees and
- 9:38Speaker 5: all that. I get that part. But the part where
- 9:41Speaker 5: you are not if you're not in business and you're
- 9:45Speaker 5: not promoting within the things that come within your confine.
- 9:49Speaker 5: That's what they've learned. Any face that can bring them
- 9:54Speaker 5: a different audience, Yes, they click over to the That's
- 10:00Speaker 5: why they have these people in the stands specifically to
- 10:03Speaker 5: take pictures.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yes, the greatest gym whoever shows up, the greatest gem
- 10:09Speaker 3: someone ever dropped on me. About businesses, businesses are not.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Business is not about making money. Business is about making profit.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Breaking even is not enough in business. So everything you
- 10:21Speaker 3: can do to increase the dollar is. It's kind of
- 10:24Speaker 3: like all is fair in love and war in business.
- 10:27Speaker 3: If your ambition is to make profit, then you do
- 10:31Speaker 3: that the best way you can. Now, if you want
- 10:33Speaker 3: to add ethics into it, the best most ethical way
- 10:37Speaker 3: that you can. But at the end of the day,
- 10:39Speaker 3: the flea that goes with your dog is profit, and
- 10:44Speaker 3: let's get as much of that as possible.
- 10:46Speaker 5: One important note before we move on, And as Greg said,
- 10:49Speaker 5: tonight Baltimore, Kansas City, tomorrow night, Green Bay and Philly
- 10:54Speaker 5: down in Brazil, are the astronauts still in space till February?
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah, till Febuary. They probably might see the Super Bowl,
- 11:04Speaker 3: but that's we hoping, okay, because there's how many two
- 11:08Speaker 3: now now, the fact that they the fact that astronauts
- 11:11Speaker 3: are in space isn't a big deal. The fact that
- 11:14Speaker 3: astronauts are in space for the next eight months and
- 11:17Speaker 3: they were supposed to be there for four days is
- 11:20Speaker 3: the deal.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Okay. I just want to make sure they were still there.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And people mad about Taylor Swell nothing about I know
- 11:28Speaker 3: the astronauts. Hey man, we'll be back on a sports
- 11:32Speaker 3: stock show right after this.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Uh huh. Come on with a pop. Wish yourself as
- 11:40Speaker 1: a bridle sock. Close your eyes as you ride right
- 11:42Speaker 1: out your socks.
- 11:43Speaker 6: Do lose? Mit?
- 11:44Speaker 1: Does he grind in the trouble? I want to give
- 11:46Speaker 1: me the cash he made with his Let.
- 11:50Speaker 8: Don't go Awayne Born of the sports John Hill with
- 11:52Speaker 8: Wayne Gandy is coming up next.

- 14:44Speaker 1: Taken it to a completely different level this.
- 14:46Speaker 9: Year, where we highlight an appoli that has taken their
- 14:49Speaker 9: game to the next level.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Four three two one level l love level ve yumya,
- 15:06Speaker 4: you want to.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Level up, level level up, back.
- 15:12Speaker 5: To this what shock shine and this one shock waing Gamy.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Good morning to you.
- 15:17Speaker 5: On this opening Thursday night for the NFL. UH, we
- 15:22Speaker 5: talked about the Ravens doing battle with the Chiefs tonight
- 15:26Speaker 5: Green Bay, Philly tomorrow down in Brazil. Monday night's game
- 15:30Speaker 5: in San Francisco. UH taking on the jts Chets Jets.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Jets gives us a chance of getting to see Aaron Rodgers,
- 15:40Speaker 5: as Big Kenny mentioned, coming from his achilles from last year,
- 15:44Speaker 5: the forty two year old trying to show that he
- 15:46Speaker 5: can make it back to the NFL against one of
- 15:50Speaker 5: the more talented defenses that you will see. UH. This
- 15:54Speaker 5: game will be very interesting, tough game. UH. In my
- 15:58Speaker 5: opinion for the Jets to start off on the road.
- 16:02Speaker 5: San Francisco seems to have everybody back in camp. They
- 16:06Speaker 5: got the left tackle signed, they got the receiver Brandon Ayyuk,
- 16:11Speaker 5: so offensively they look like they're ready to go. Only
- 16:13Speaker 5: sad note was over the last couple of days they're
- 16:17Speaker 5: for one of their young receivers just drafted this year.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Ricky Pearsaw was shot in the chess robbed of his rolex.
- 16:27Speaker 5: This is after an article where I read that San
- 16:33Speaker 5: Francisco was recently voted America's worst run city. Yes, in
- 16:41Speaker 5: an article, Major League Baseball All star Mark Mulder called
- 16:48Speaker 5: it a hell hole out in San Francisco. Says that
- 16:52Speaker 5: the whole city, it's just from the liberal tactics of
- 16:56Speaker 5: how they think things can bela police to the sanctuary
- 17:00Speaker 5: city part of it just has made a real hellhole
- 17:03Speaker 5: that no one speaks about. And then it was recently
- 17:06Speaker 5: voted America's worst run city. And then you see Ricky
- 17:10Speaker 5: Piersoll get shot over his rolex. Now it seems to
- 17:15Speaker 5: be to be at least one of these. Not necessarily
- 17:20Speaker 5: always someone getting shot, but it has consistently been someone
- 17:25Speaker 5: with violence getting shot with robbery of items. When I
- 17:32Speaker 5: look at this, and it's one of those things, I
- 17:34Speaker 5: always swing that pendulum back to announcing contracts. I never
- 17:41Speaker 5: understood that even as a player, but I understand the
- 17:46Speaker 5: sports media uses it as a segment to sit around
- 17:50Speaker 5: and debate an hour over someone's salary. Where I've tried
- 17:57Speaker 5: to explain as much as I possible I could salaries
- 18:01Speaker 5: are a combination of supplying demand timing. For most people
- 18:09Speaker 5: outside of those four or five guys that lead the sport,
- 18:13Speaker 5: the other twenty guys that get paid the same money
- 18:16Speaker 5: as those guys is a function of time. It's being
- 18:21Speaker 5: the best quarterback or the second best quarterback on the
- 18:25Speaker 5: market in a particular year, and the guy from last
- 18:30Speaker 5: year signed a certain deal. That is your floor when
- 18:37Speaker 5: you go into negotiations. It's your floor. It doesn't the
- 18:43Speaker 5: other team. It's hard for them. They almost are upset.
- 18:46Speaker 5: Remember a lot of teams got mad at George Steinbrenner
- 18:49Speaker 5: or the Yankees they call a lot of the Evil
- 18:52Speaker 5: Empire Once.
- 18:53Speaker 1: He was pushing the floor up so high.
- 18:56Speaker 5: That other teams couldn't even get that was their roof, right,
- 19:01Speaker 5: And that's how you get paid. It's a function of talent, sure,
- 19:07Speaker 5: But when you see a guy's salary up there with
- 19:09Speaker 5: Patrick Mahomes, and you see a guy's salary up there
- 19:12Speaker 5: with the Lebron James's, and you're thinking, WHOA, I didn't
- 19:15Speaker 5: I'm never even gone to see a Memphis game. How
- 19:18Speaker 5: could this guy might Connolly be making the same as Lebron?
- 19:22Speaker 5: It's a function.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I'm the best one you can afford at this time,
- 19:27Speaker 3: at this time, for where you trying to go, where
- 19:29Speaker 3: you're trying to go, I'm the best one available, and.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Just what it's gonna cost for a me at this time.
- 19:39Speaker 5: It's a V six, not a V twelve, but it's
- 19:41Speaker 5: the only transportation between here and the Pearly Gates for
- 19:46Speaker 5: the next three hundred and sixty five days. You make
- 19:48Speaker 5: the choice.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I'm not an uber, I'm not an uber guy. I'll
- 19:57Speaker 3: do the V six. I'm a burning engine. No, I'm
- 20:00Speaker 3: sure i will. But are we gonna V six it?
- 20:03Speaker 5: And that's big? See what it is? So when you
- 20:05Speaker 5: put these and I'm not saying, I'm saying you make
- 20:07Speaker 5: these salaries because I see him in a society. If
- 20:10Speaker 5: the rest of society's money was somewhere close to what
- 20:15Speaker 5: you keep advertising, then I wouldn't feel that way. But
- 20:19Speaker 5: it seems like you're throwing amounts of money in people's face.
- 20:24Speaker 5: It's already hard not to have haters, not to have
- 20:28Speaker 5: people the quarterbacks here in Atlanta, Matt Ryan was hated
- 20:32Speaker 5: for his salary. Kirk Cousins is hated for his salary.
- 20:38Speaker 5: You know why, Kirk Cousins hasn't even thrown a ball.
- 20:43Speaker 5: But the biggest conversation was they couldn't believe the Falcons
- 20:47Speaker 5: gave kirk Cousins money and throwing the ball for them.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And now that's the thing.
- 20:53Speaker 3: It's low key kirk Cousins kind of surprised to you
- 20:58Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. He pleasantly surprised, like they what okay,
- 21:01Speaker 3: But that's at this time. You want to me, this
- 21:05Speaker 3: is what needs cost in the NFL. This is what
- 21:09Speaker 3: it costs. And that's business. That's that's the part of
- 21:12Speaker 3: business that the entrepreneur and the uh independent businessman loves.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Produce a great product and you can sell it for
- 21:22Speaker 3: a reasonable price.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Command you. Greg just signed his receiver for Dallas, big
- 21:25Speaker 5: huge contract. Yes, I don't see cdee Lamb playing any
- 21:29Speaker 5: better than cdee Lamb played since he's been there. I
- 21:32Speaker 5: thought he that's how he got paid, right. All I
- 21:35Speaker 5: can hope is he keeps that up. That's all I
- 21:37Speaker 5: can keep doing that, that's all. And this is the thing.
- 21:42Speaker 3: This is the thing I think sometimes that amazes me
- 21:45Speaker 3: about the people who negotiate these contracts from the top
- 21:51Speaker 3: is surely you had to know at some point this
- 21:55Speaker 3: was coming.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Oh, you know, you know a lot of people.
- 22:00Speaker 5: I can't believe he paying him that.
- 22:02Speaker 3: What was he supposed to keep getting paid like he
- 22:04Speaker 3: was a rookie, like he was a fourth year guy.
- 22:07Speaker 3: This guy's in as what eighth season, tenth season with
- 22:10Speaker 3: a lot of these talents. Surely it's it's like the
- 22:13Speaker 3: cost of living increase, everything goes up.
- 22:15Speaker 5: We'll be back more to Sports Stock Show right after this.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I think.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Then you look your biret.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I have your hoping all night like your eye.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I'll take your home, baby.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'll let you keep me coup with heat.
- 22:30Speaker 5: You give me some of you, I give you some.

- 22:51Speaker 12: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only

- 24:14Speaker 14: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 24:17Speaker 14: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 24:23Speaker 14: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 24:28Speaker 15: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 24:31Speaker 15: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 24:33Speaker 15: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 24:36Speaker 15: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 24:39Speaker 15: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 24:41Speaker 15: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 24:44Speaker 15: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I am whole.
- 24:50Speaker 12: I'm finally enough, just as I am.
- 24:52Speaker 14: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is changing the lives

- 25:31Speaker 5: Timberland, Timberland, Whatever I say, dog, got you, whatever I say, Yah,
- 25:36Speaker 5: gott you, whatever I say, no, gotta do, dot you,
- 25:40Speaker 5: dot you, Dot dot you.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Oh Lord, I guess who's coming? Timberlane aka Bill Trump
- 25:45Speaker 1: is who gonna get it crunk like me, Timer Lane
- 25:48Speaker 1: a k A.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Fat Man. We guarantee them way back to this boy
- 25:51Speaker 5: Shock Show This boy Shock, Wayne Gandy, Good morning, tell
- 25:54Speaker 5: you out. There were Chiefs Ravens Tonight, Green Bay and
- 25:58Speaker 5: Philly Tomorrow the of the NFL on Sunday and Monday
- 26:03Speaker 5: with the jts Chet jets Chets and the forty nine ers.
- 26:07Speaker 5: We were talking about Ricky Piersaw young man. Here's some
- 26:09Speaker 5: advice from an old old vet who had a career
- 26:13Speaker 5: and been retired. Just as long when you go out,
- 26:19Speaker 5: don't listen to hip hop. Put your chain away because
- 26:25Speaker 5: your watch up. Put your watch in your pocket until
- 26:27Speaker 5: you get into the club. When you leave the club,
- 26:29Speaker 5: take your watch off. Put it back in your pocket
- 26:31Speaker 5: until you get to your car. When you get to
- 26:32Speaker 5: your car, automatically drive off. Sometimes it is best to
- 26:39Speaker 5: valet park based on where you're going. Places you know
- 26:42Speaker 5: you're going that are dangerous, just don't go there. Period.
- 26:47Speaker 5: I know that was a lot. Stay off Instagram showing money.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Understand where you just left. Places like gambling places, people
- 26:57Speaker 5: are setting you up there follow you. Don't let everybody
- 27:02Speaker 5: know where you're going. That includes girlfriends, uncles, brothers, minimalize
- 27:12Speaker 5: when you wear whatever you wear. Try to stay away
- 27:17Speaker 5: from places where multiple people shop for jury, like Rolexus,
- 27:22Speaker 5: because the jeweler will set you up too. You have
- 27:30Speaker 5: to get a plan. You have to already have thought
- 27:33Speaker 5: the plan through. I know we all like that moment
- 27:38Speaker 5: of shine and you have to pick and choose when
- 27:40Speaker 5: that shine comes. But you got to be very aware
- 27:43Speaker 5: of what to put around you and never let somebody
- 27:46Speaker 5: make you feel like protecting yourself or taking the extra
- 27:49Speaker 5: step minimizes your bravado because that's what they're trying to
- 27:54Speaker 5: make it. They try to make it that way. Just
- 28:03Speaker 5: remember a couple of those things. If you got to
- 28:05Speaker 5: rewind them, any of you out there, young sons, high schoolers, college,
- 28:09Speaker 5: all that, all those little rules of the street. Oh agent, yeah,
- 28:14Speaker 5: don't even wear a chain. How about that If that's
- 28:17Speaker 5: the case, If it's that dangerous, just use your phone
- 28:22Speaker 5: as a clock. Okay, just take that down because America
- 28:28Speaker 5: is not helping you. As I said, they want to
- 28:30Speaker 5: put your salaries up there. Every dollar you get. It's
- 28:33Speaker 5: one of the most always been the most fascinating nating
- 28:36Speaker 5: part of sports. Since I got in it professionally in
- 28:39Speaker 5: ninety four, which was thirty years ago. How people like
- 28:42Speaker 5: to walk up to you see what they see in
- 28:44Speaker 5: the paper, and they want to gauge and tell you
- 28:49Speaker 5: how your life should be, what you should be Young
- 28:52Speaker 5: tennis star Jessica Pagoula, the daughter of the Bill's owner.
- 29:00Speaker 5: She's made to the semi finals. Everybody's criticizing her. She
- 29:03Speaker 5: said she doesn't even know those kind of people. They
- 29:07Speaker 5: want her to explain her wealth because she took the
- 29:11Speaker 5: train to the US Open, so they criticized, like where's
- 29:18Speaker 5: your limo, where's your chauffeur, where's your butler? Because people
- 29:21Speaker 5: have their own sensibilities about how you would be living.
- 29:26Speaker 5: They take the two or three people who have gone
- 29:28Speaker 5: on social media, who have gone on reality shows and
- 29:32Speaker 5: flash their money, and they have imprinted that on anyone
- 29:36Speaker 5: that has money must be leaving living that way. In
- 29:42Speaker 5: my little small minute having a dollar, people would question
- 29:49Speaker 5: me about things that I have no clue where they
- 29:55Speaker 5: get these ideas, like I don't go to Sam's in Costco.
- 30:02Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 30:03Speaker 3: I had somebody tell me I wasn't being a celebrity RTE, Hey,
- 30:07Speaker 3: you're not doing this right now?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Like how many celebrities.
- 30:09Speaker 16: You know.
- 30:09Speaker 3: He was like just you, and I was like, so,
- 30:12Speaker 3: I might be doing it out the book as far
- 30:14Speaker 3: as you know.
- 30:14Speaker 5: It is some of the you don't eat that you
- 30:17Speaker 5: don't eat?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Go there? What are you talking about?
- 30:21Speaker 5: You have put what you see money should be used
- 30:25Speaker 5: like on me. So that's when people ask me and
- 30:29Speaker 5: I tell him I'm a simple, simple country boy and
- 30:32Speaker 5: they laugh and it's like, no, it means that I
- 30:35Speaker 5: do everything with a consciousness of money. If there's a
- 30:40Speaker 5: way around it to save I think about it. Whether
- 30:44Speaker 5: I execute it or not, I do think about it.
- 30:48Speaker 5: You want to charge me six hundred dollars more to
- 30:51Speaker 5: take a flight? Can I be uncomfortable for an hour
- 30:56Speaker 5: to save six hundred dollars? Yeah? I can, Okay, I can.
- 31:01Speaker 5: I can do the things that fix how my mind.
- 31:05Speaker 5: So when I was reading about the young girl and
- 31:07Speaker 5: she's thirty years old, she's finally made it to the
- 31:09Speaker 5: simm and y'all, biggest question is where's her butler and
- 31:13Speaker 5: trying to haz her like that was her normal life.
- 31:17Speaker 5: She was born into it, she lived that. It probably
- 31:21Speaker 5: didn't seem whatever it is that you put on. Maybe
- 31:25Speaker 5: her mom and dad liked driving her to school. Maybe
- 31:28Speaker 5: they were just grind, grassroots kind of people that yes,
- 31:32Speaker 5: we have the money and we do probably spectacular things,
- 31:35Speaker 5: but that's not how we wake up day to day
- 31:38Speaker 5: like some movie set, right, But most people have this
- 31:42Speaker 5: idea that everybody wakes up with this Kardashian Hilton. Some
- 31:47Speaker 5: people just live there playing old lives, and it's just
- 31:51Speaker 5: a shame that all you see is not a young
- 31:56Speaker 5: lady who made her first at thirty years old semifinals
- 31:59Speaker 5: or the US Open. But you want to question her
- 32:02Speaker 5: mode of transportation as though she can't decide to try
- 32:07Speaker 5: a different manner. You know, some people with money just
- 32:10Speaker 5: like to drive their own car, and they like the
- 32:13Speaker 5: drive cars that you won't run up on because they
- 32:15Speaker 5: don't want you.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Run up and on them trying to shoot them in
- 32:20Speaker 1: the chest for that right.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Just it's nerve wracking enough being in a store and
- 32:27Speaker 3: somebody come up to you and go, my man, what's up.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I was hoping that they wouldn't have saw me in
- 32:36Speaker 3: my little low key, but I mean, now to go
- 32:40Speaker 3: out and add that with a drop top and eighteen
- 32:44Speaker 3: thousand dollars worth of rings on, it's just, you know,
- 32:48Speaker 3: a little bit much.
- 32:49Speaker 5: The young man, seventeen year old was in court. You know,
- 32:53Speaker 5: now he's sorry for shooting Ricky, which so amazing on
- 33:01Speaker 5: the other side of the bullet. How all of a
- 33:03Speaker 5: sudden we get sorry in court.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you ain't never you ain't never been more
- 33:11Speaker 3: than you are in court.
- 33:12Speaker 5: But you could have been remorseful before you pull the gun.
- 33:15Speaker 1: They ain't catch me. Then they didn't care.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Remember I didn't have a gun.
- 33:19Speaker 1: It seemed like a good idea. It seemed like good ideas.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Say give me your rolex. I said, well here, here
- 33:24Speaker 3: you go. And then you was like, I'm gonna keep
- 33:27Speaker 3: it real. And then you shot me. And then when
- 33:31Speaker 3: you got court, judges like, you know, that's a tempted murder.
- 33:34Speaker 3: First defense is sixty five years without possibility of parole.
- 33:40Speaker 1: And then you be onesome.
- 33:44Speaker 17: I just.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Is I had a hard.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Day, a hard day. I'm falling that I was missing.
- 33:54Speaker 3: But but sir, he had given it to you.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I was brainwashed.
- 34:00Speaker 18: But who them them? Okay, they wanted me to keep
- 34:05Speaker 18: it real. Uh, it's just some wild story. But Ricky
- 34:09Speaker 18: and all all bought anyone having any success. Minimize your
- 34:13Speaker 18: footprint as far as how people, because as soon as
- 34:16Speaker 18: they hear one thing, trust me, they start living your
- 34:20Speaker 18: financial life and how you feel about things so quickly
- 34:26Speaker 18: that things no longer matter to you. That they can exploit,
- 34:31Speaker 18: they can take, you should want to give, you shouldn't care.
- 34:34Speaker 5: It just goes there. And uh, the young lady. I
- 34:38Speaker 5: was just I mentioning the pegula because I kept thinking,
- 34:42Speaker 5: this lady is doing all this winning. She's at the
- 34:45Speaker 5: US Open and explaining that, yes, my mom and dad,
- 34:49Speaker 5: you know, have they owned the Buffalo Bills and the Sabers.
- 34:53Speaker 5: And I understand how you got to that while you
- 34:58Speaker 5: would ask me that, but that's not how I live.
- 35:00Speaker 1: And now so I'm not shocked.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I think if I could add any advice to the
- 35:05Speaker 3: advice that you just gave all of the athletes and
- 35:08Speaker 3: anyone obtaining any success, is before you take into account
- 35:14Speaker 3: all of those things for safety, first, know who you
- 35:17Speaker 3: are and how you feel about things, because many people
- 35:21Speaker 3: come under the influence of social media and of peer
- 35:25Speaker 3: pressure because they're not really sure. Like she's used to
- 35:29Speaker 3: things and that's not how she lives her life.
- 35:31Speaker 1: With chauffeurs and all of that.
- 35:34Speaker 3: She's decided that already, so when the pressure comes, where's
- 35:38Speaker 3: your butler? She can say, eh, I don't need one,
- 35:42Speaker 3: But some people haven't made that decision yet, and then
- 35:45Speaker 3: when the pressure comes, they go, where's my butler. My
- 35:47Speaker 3: butler's outside doing butler things. I got three butlers, And
- 35:51Speaker 3: now they go out and they start trying to keep
- 35:53Speaker 3: up with that expectation, and I think that makes it
- 35:57Speaker 3: even harder on them going through life, just living a
- 36:02Speaker 3: life that they didn't even want in the first place.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Well, at thirty years old, if she was living the
- 36:06Speaker 5: life in which you think she would be living, she
- 36:10Speaker 5: would be on retired now.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't be playing No.
- 36:12Speaker 5: Ten you never want a major? Yeah, So why would
- 36:15Speaker 5: she still be out here at thirty if she.
- 36:18Speaker 3: And I didn't even know her parents own the Sabers
- 36:21Speaker 3: and the Buffalo Bills. Yeah, I'm kind of wondering where
- 36:24Speaker 3: your but let do you know what I'm saying?
- 36:27Speaker 5: But good luck to her in the semi finals, and
- 36:30Speaker 5: I'm sure and Don't Young in the double side, our
- 36:34Speaker 5: friend Don't Young have the show. They're in the semi
- 36:37Speaker 5: finals as well for the mixed doubles. So some good
- 36:41Speaker 5: US Open tennis still ahead. We'll be back more to

- 39:08Speaker 21: and we dedicate a lot of our time to going

- 39:12Speaker 21: why my dad and I started racing, and I'm really
- 39:14Speaker 21: proud to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa
- 39:16Speaker 21: was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump
- 39:19Speaker 21: in the road for us. I've learned a lot on
- 39:21Speaker 21: this journey with my Grandpa, Lou and the memories of
- 39:23Speaker 21: my grandpa will always be with me. It's important to
- 39:26Speaker 21: notice if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems

- 40:20Speaker 1: wings lock on so you can see a sports joint.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I'll sing even very.
- 40:36Speaker 5: Canny went back to this boy shock show this boy shock,
- 40:41Speaker 5: Wayne Gandy. The Paralympics are going on over in Paris.
- 40:46Speaker 5: They could be on wrapped up? Have they wrapped up yet?
- 40:49Speaker 5: They started?
- 40:50Speaker 1: I think powerlifting is today.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Okay, so I know they started maybe like a week
- 40:54Speaker 5: or two after the regular Olympics this year. And interesting
- 41:00Speaker 5: story coming out from Team Canada Alison Long slamming people
- 41:10Speaker 5: for finding her inspirational for being a Paralympic athlete. She's
- 41:20Speaker 5: on the volleyball team, and I wish I could actually
- 41:24Speaker 5: talk to her about this because she is saying that
- 41:28Speaker 5: she doesn't really want us to be inspired by her
- 41:35Speaker 5: performing from this situation as much as what she's doing.
- 41:41Speaker 5: And I get that, but this is what people, This
- 41:47Speaker 5: is how humans view life. You know, sometimes we take
- 41:53Speaker 5: it from great people. You can watch the normal Olympics
- 41:59Speaker 5: and you watch enough track and field and you feel,
- 42:03Speaker 5: you know what, Monday, I'm gonna get up there and
- 42:05Speaker 5: start jogging right because you know, I might not be
- 42:09Speaker 5: able to be sitting in the Glocklin. At least I
- 42:12Speaker 5: can get around this track, you know one time, one
- 42:15Speaker 5: time like that. Or you see a basketball for football
- 42:19Speaker 5: player lifting James Harrison and big old strong d n
- 42:23Speaker 5: for the stillers. You know, like man, I got at
- 42:25Speaker 5: least add another twenty five pounds because to the rat
- 42:30Speaker 5: this man got like seven hundred pounds. I got one fifty.
- 42:34Speaker 5: I gotta get somewhere. I can't be that far off.
- 42:38Speaker 5: You see people. So when when she's saying this, and
- 42:41Speaker 5: she was calling it like inspiration, inspiration, porn, and I
- 42:46Speaker 5: was sitting there thinking, no, we're all examples to each other.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Most people when they do see someone that might be
- 42:56Speaker 5: in a situation where they're missing a limb, and that
- 43:01Speaker 5: is natural, not to burden you, but to really it's
- 43:08Speaker 5: an accusation against themselves that this person who has a
- 43:14Speaker 5: real reason to maybe limit themselves. I'm in here fully everything, yes,
- 43:23Speaker 5: and limiting myself, cutting myself some slack. And that's why
- 43:29Speaker 5: I say it doesn't always have to come from someone
- 43:31Speaker 5: being hurt. It can come from somebody doing things great
- 43:36Speaker 5: on both ends of the spectrum can be inspiring. So
- 43:39Speaker 5: if I was talking to her, I would be like,
- 43:41Speaker 5: we all have these different particulars about how and what
- 43:47Speaker 5: motivates us what we see. I don't know you want
- 43:50Speaker 5: us to want to see it from one point, Yes
- 43:53Speaker 5: it is. We had the guy that could shoot the
- 43:55Speaker 5: bow and arrow with his feet, with his feet because
- 43:58Speaker 5: he didn't have his arms. It does be like when
- 44:02Speaker 5: you want to skip over picking a piece of trash
- 44:06Speaker 5: up off the ground somewhere like I am a boy Scott.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Out there winning medals with his feet.
- 44:13Speaker 3: There is somebody, like you said, it doesn't have to
- 44:16Speaker 3: be an injury. There's somebody who probably comes from a
- 44:19Speaker 3: background with some resources, stopped competing because they figured people
- 44:25Speaker 3: wouldn't take me seriously. Here we have the daughter of
- 44:30Speaker 3: the owners of the Buffalo Sabers and the Buffalo Bills
- 44:35Speaker 3: making it too. Is this the semi finals as a
- 44:39Speaker 3: professional athlete who never made.
- 44:41Speaker 1: A major before, but still out there competing?
- 44:44Speaker 3: So I mean, this person has every right, every means
- 44:48Speaker 3: of retiring and they're hard at it.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Why am I still lying around? You know what I mean?
- 44:53Speaker 3: So to hear her say that she thinks that language
- 44:59Speaker 3: is next for someone to go. If they can do
- 45:02Speaker 3: it with no legs, then what's my excuse? She says
- 45:05Speaker 3: she thinks that's negative language and toxic mentality, and that
- 45:09Speaker 3: that's interesting that she would say.
- 45:11Speaker 5: That that's totally And that's why I said it would
- 45:14Speaker 5: be a very interesting conversation to see because I'm quite
- 45:18Speaker 5: sure on the flip side, these people that are doing
- 45:23Speaker 5: different activities took inspiration from people that may have their legs.
- 45:34Speaker 5: Yes that I want to run again or I used
- 45:37Speaker 5: to run like that, right, so instead of me cutting myself,
- 45:40Speaker 5: let me do the best I can. Is what makes
- 45:43Speaker 5: me want to go to the Paralympics. Yes I have
- 45:47Speaker 5: that same skill set. Sure I'm missing this or that, but.
- 45:50Speaker 7: It's like a cycle that maybe she doesn't realize that.
- 45:55Speaker 7: You know, the Paralympics come from people who have the
- 45:59Speaker 7: disabilities that want to do these athletic activities and could
- 46:05Speaker 7: inspire those who are able body to do those activities.
- 46:09Speaker 3: But how it's portrayed and marketed as a inspirational paying
- 46:20Speaker 3: homage to sport. We are inspired by these people who
- 46:24Speaker 3: still have the the fire to compete even though they've
- 46:29Speaker 3: been put in a situation that doesn't favor competition, and
- 46:36Speaker 3: here they are making it to the Paralympic game. So,
- 46:39Speaker 3: as you said, it'd be a super interesting kill.
- 46:41Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's not just sports, it's just life in general.
- 46:44Speaker 5: It's one thing to see to some seventy year old
- 46:48Speaker 5: person still volunteering and giving their time. And you drive
- 46:52Speaker 5: by there every day at forty and at like you
- 46:55Speaker 5: don't have thirty minutes.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And yeah, never never given a minute.
- 47:01Speaker 5: And every time you see that person, you have that
- 47:03Speaker 5: same sinking feeling. You might not ever address it, but
- 47:08Speaker 5: you still have that same thought. Man, it ain't nothing,
- 47:12Speaker 5: or missus Williams out here every.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Tuesday, every Tuesday, or you might find yourself Thanksgiving Day
- 47:21Speaker 3: out there helping somebody.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Now it's only once a year, but it's young. Oh yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: a little young.
- 47:26Speaker 5: You can still a young kid doing something at fourteen
- 47:30Speaker 5: and you're twenty one and think, man, you're young man,
- 47:33Speaker 5: he taking his five seconds off to.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Help, and here I am.
- 47:38Speaker 5: That's why I thought, that's why we were all here
- 47:41Speaker 5: to inspire, to inspire. From whatever angle we might be in,
- 47:45Speaker 5: you can inspire.
- 47:46Speaker 3: And now I don't mean to discount her experiences. There
- 47:49Speaker 3: may have been something that makes her feel that way,
- 47:53Speaker 3: and she's welcome to feel her reality.
- 47:58Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 47:58Speaker 3: But I still think that even with your reality existing,
- 48:02Speaker 3: you could see how your position could help other people.
- 48:06Speaker 5: We'll be back more to the Sports Shock Show right
- 48:08Speaker 5: after this.
- 48:11Speaker 3: What we want to do is feeling and leaves, so
- 48:13Speaker 3: laying low and like the free though Brooklyn Broad and.
- 48:16Speaker 1: That occupant Heed Low, don't go away.
- 48:20Speaker 8: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne gamvideos coming
- 48:23Speaker 8: up next.
- 48:25Speaker 22: Hurting the Game, We tough it out, feel exhausted, we
- 48:29Speaker 22: push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 48:34Speaker 22: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 48:38Speaker 22: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 48:40Speaker 22: about what we're really going through. So we're going to

- 50:57Speaker 5: WINGKND crime is I need to drop the Evolution of
- 51:01Speaker 5: the Black Quarterback. Michael Vick hosting this doc series. It's
- 51:08Speaker 5: a three part doc series that is coming to you
- 51:12Speaker 5: on September twenty four, supposed to be released. Progress is
- 51:19Speaker 5: more than a journey it's a revolution evolution of the
- 51:23Speaker 5: black quarterback arrive September twenty fourth. Now on the cover art,
- 51:28Speaker 5: I haven't seen it. It hasn't come out. Be interested
- 51:31Speaker 5: in seeing the angle in which they take in this situation.
- 51:36Speaker 5: I am missing a couple of faces in this cover art.
- 51:43Speaker 1: We have more of.
- 51:47Speaker 5: The young ThunderCats than we do a couple of the
- 51:52Speaker 5: older ones that we're also. In my opinion, I don't
- 51:58Speaker 5: see Randall Cunningham on this cover art. You guys help
- 52:01Speaker 5: me right now. I see Michael Vick, Patrick Mahomes, Warren Moon,
- 52:08Speaker 5: Donovan McNabb, Russell Wilson, Jalen Hurts, Doug Williams, Dak Prescott,
- 52:19Speaker 5: Cam Newton. And at the bottom is that Roman Gabriel.
- 52:25Speaker 8: Was that.
- 52:27Speaker 5: James Harris? James Harris who has been the first quarterback
- 52:30Speaker 5: for the Rams back in the seventies. Yeah, okay, Now
- 52:35Speaker 5: I don't see Roundell Cunningham.
- 52:37Speaker 25: Do I?
- 52:38Speaker 1: No, he's not He's not in the picture.
- 52:41Speaker 5: I don't see Cordell Stewart, No, which was a big
- 52:48Speaker 5: He was running at least second leg in this race.
- 52:56Speaker 5: He was passing it from Warren and Randall to Cordelle
- 53:02Speaker 5: was running second leg yeah, passing it to Mike Vick,
- 53:09Speaker 5: who then went on to pass it to Lamar. But
- 53:16Speaker 5: I don't see Randall Cunningham. I don't see Cordell Stewart.
- 53:19Speaker 5: I don't see Steve McNair.
- 53:21Speaker 1: I was going to bring up Steve McNair on this
- 53:24Speaker 1: cover art.
- 53:25Speaker 5: And maybe they're all in it. So I have to watch,
- 53:28Speaker 5: so I'm not I'm just telling you what I don't
- 53:29Speaker 5: see from the particulars. I see some one or two
- 53:33Speaker 5: guys that I guess you got to get the young
- 53:37Speaker 5: people in. And I don't see, as I said, Lamar Jackson,
- 53:43Speaker 5: who could have his own copyright.
- 53:44Speaker 3: I don't know with Lamar, yeah, he might, he might
- 53:47Speaker 3: can't use his image image or something.
- 53:50Speaker 26: I know that.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Southern miss.
- 53:53Speaker 3: One of my frat brothers, Reggie Callier, was a quarterback
- 53:56Speaker 3: for the Dallas Cowboys at a time when it wasn't
- 54:01Speaker 3: normal quote unquote to see a black quarterback in the NFL.
- 54:06Speaker 1: So I'm sure.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Because this is a a streaming documentary, it's got to
- 54:12Speaker 3: have marketability. It's gonna have to have some recognizable names
- 54:16Speaker 3: and faces for you to be interested to tune in,
- 54:19Speaker 3: and then maybe they'll unravel the full lineage. But we
- 54:26Speaker 3: are living in a time when, even though it seems
- 54:28Speaker 3: so normal now, they're still at the NFL level.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Able to be counted.
- 54:36Speaker 3: You can still put them on the list and not
- 54:40Speaker 3: run out of space on your list for black quarterbacks.
- 54:45Speaker 1: So I'd like to see how this turns out. Now,
- 54:47Speaker 1: do you think that this uh, do you think that
- 54:52Speaker 1: any of this?
- 54:53Speaker 5: Oh and one, it's an eight part eight parts and
- 54:56Speaker 5: still three I think I said three, it's eight part.
- 55:00Speaker 5: Do you think that this.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Undermines the efforts of the black quarterback to be just
- 55:07Speaker 3: a quarterback? They always keep on saying the black quarterback
- 55:12Speaker 3: instead of the quarterback. Yeah, I do think that sometimes
- 55:16Speaker 3: as much as you are trying to applaud, you can detract, Yes,
- 55:25Speaker 3: because you are keeping the narrative alive just as much
- 55:29Speaker 3: as anything to a generation that no longer see.
- 55:34Speaker 5: They just see you as my quarterback. I would imagine
- 55:39Speaker 5: that they the Kansas City Chiefs fan base sees Patrick
- 55:45Speaker 5: Mahomes as their quarterback. I don't think they see him
- 55:52Speaker 5: as Warren Moon, my black quarterback. It's just my quarterback.
- 55:57Speaker 5: And that's where I thought you wanted to go. But
- 56:01Speaker 5: it seems that we're always ready to point or profit
- 56:04Speaker 5: off of still going down the Harrold halls of denoting
- 56:13Speaker 5: the black quarterback. That's why. And I've always told people,
- 56:18Speaker 5: really it's not the black quarterback versus the white quarterback,
- 56:24Speaker 5: it's the mobile quarterback versus the pocket because there are
- 56:33Speaker 5: same style. Steve young Fran targeting Tim Tebow, those guys
- 56:38Speaker 5: friend that same style. It was movement. They did things
- 56:44Speaker 5: on the run, John Elway. They were not necessarily pocket passers.
- 56:50Speaker 5: So but we deem anyone that runs really, which really
- 56:54Speaker 5: you should take more Moon off this list because if
- 56:57Speaker 5: that's how you were looking at it. But he was
- 56:59Speaker 5: part of that revolution revolution, and Michael Vick is the host,
- 57:06Speaker 5: so interesting choice there as well, right from where we were,
- 57:13Speaker 5: because he was, you know what I'm saying, from the
- 57:15Speaker 5: from I mean, one of my great teams, Jared.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Lloyd, Vince Evans. I don't know why as a Chicago
- 57:21Speaker 3: Bear birth into the Chicago Bear fandom.
- 57:27Speaker 5: He was.
- 57:29Speaker 1: At a time.
- 57:31Speaker 3: Oh look at that there, boy, Oh we didn't, we
- 57:34Speaker 3: didn't made it. Then look at that Vince Addens, quarterback
- 57:36Speaker 3: for the Bear. Oh we'd have made it, we'd have
- 57:38Speaker 3: made Doctor King ought to be allowed to see this
- 57:40Speaker 3: right now. That was that was Vince Evans, and so
- 57:45Speaker 3: a lot of I think that, like you said that early,
- 57:49Speaker 3: the true trail Blazers aren't in the picture, but I'm
- 57:52Speaker 3: sure they'll be in the because.
- 57:54Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts. This younger
- 57:57Speaker 5: group of quarterbacks, Dak Prescott, they're not necessarily under that
- 58:01Speaker 5: heading anymore. Right, they're just the quarterback of our team.
- 58:05Speaker 5: You love them or hate them, but they're not.
- 58:07Speaker 7: I mean think maybe that's part of the arc that
- 58:10Speaker 7: they're going with here. How we got from well, you know,
- 58:14Speaker 7: the black quarterbacks more stick out than and now to
- 58:18Speaker 7: now where these guys are among the best in the league.
- 58:23Speaker 7: That's ow a number that there are fifteen starting Black
- 58:26Speaker 7: quarterbacks going and coming into Week one, which is the
- 58:30Speaker 7: most ever, Like, well that's half the league. So but
- 58:35Speaker 7: a lot of it should be at that point where
- 58:38Speaker 7: it's not such a a heavy subject.
- 58:45Speaker 5: Well one of the key things, and we're going to
- 58:46Speaker 5: break people didn't want to waste that kind of athlete
- 58:51Speaker 5: at the quarterback position. They wanted to run or throw
- 58:55Speaker 5: the ball to that kind of speed. Right, it seems
- 58:58Speaker 5: like I can get more out of them because they
- 59:00Speaker 5: didn't They didn't know that system, they didn't know the
- 59:03Speaker 5: well you run the quarterback too. It was more of
- 59:08Speaker 5: I need him to be running the ball with the
- 59:12Speaker 5: ball in his hand. So I'll take the guy to
- 59:14Speaker 5: slow that can throw to throw to the god as
- 59:17Speaker 5: fast in Rona. We'll be back more to Sports Job
- 59:20Speaker 5: Show right after this.
- 59:23Speaker 21: Bris to come to.

- 59:46Speaker 28: In response to attacks against Asian Americans, Maddie Park raised
- 59:49Speaker 28: over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to donate camp

- 1:02:22Speaker 5: Welcome back to the spot Shock show. I'm a sportshock
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: wing gain he Welcome to NFL kickoff tonight Ravens Chiefs
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: at eight o'clock. Tomorrow eight o'clock will get uh the
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: Eagles and the Packers playing as well. Tomorrow in the
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: Atlanta area seven thirty gp B. We have a Langston
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Hughes taking on Douglas County. It should be a great game.
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: Douglas County is three and old Nanks and Hughes is
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: two and oh. Between the two teams, they have about
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: twenty Division one player that will be on the field
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: tomorrow night. Two big tackles for Langston Hughes. Glover is
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: going to Georgia, Dice is going to Auburn. We got
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: the James Johnson. He's going to USC. As I have
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: said many times, I didn't want to concede it because
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: I'm from Florida, but the Georgia bandwagon for football is
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: in that top five. A lot of athletes, a lot
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: of signees, a lot of things going on at seven
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: thirty tomorrow night, high school football. If you're interested, got
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: a little chance before the Eagles and the Packers do battle.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: We were talking about the evolution of the black quarterback
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: Arrives on the twenty fourth of September. During the break,
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: commanche greg was alluding to the system of teams keeping
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: black quarterbacks or as backups.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: What was your question well as far as rosters, and
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: I cited the Ravens and the Browns having a black
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: backup or two black backups each, and it's not something
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: that we'd see too much of as far as like
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: even black backups, like career backups or whatever.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: I feel like there's a.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: Role for that, but I think that with those teams
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: they did it to protect who they have as their starter,
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: as far as people won't try to influence the team
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: to make a change if they're not playing well. And
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: then I know you mentioned that the offensive system that
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: they play in, I think both things can be true.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: I do remember like when Cam was in in Carolina,
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: the backup was Derek Anderson, and people were actually calling
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: into show saying they need to put Derek Anderson in
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: every time Cam Newton messed up or had a bad
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: game whatever, and it's having and I think that that
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: may be part of the series. As far as like
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: it seems like it's a different pressure or it was
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: a different pressure on the black quarterback, then that might
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: not be so much now.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: Well, as I was telling you to me, has always
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: been trying to match up find two guys with the
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: similar styles, which is not always as easy because everybody
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: else has that same idea. So Baltimore will go get
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: the second and third quarterback that can do similar to
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: what Lamar Jackson allows the offense to continue without complications.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: What happens with a Cam and a Derek Anderson is
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: that those couple of plays that Dereck Anderson gets in,
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: he shows a different kind of offense. So the fan
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: quickly starts thinking, oh, that will work, but that's not
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: the style of offense we're trying to run. So it
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: is very common to hope to match up the styles
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: of the quarterbacks number one and two when it's all possible,
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: so everybody else can continue to do the same thing.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: The worst thing is now you have to limit to
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: plays of the second guy. Oh, go ahead, beginning well,
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: it was.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Here there we go.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: I was asking commands you Greg earlier, and asking you
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: about the undermining of the black quarterback. If that's what
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: we're doing, like having a black backup in case we
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: have to replace the starter who's not doing well.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Again, isn't that doing a disservice?
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: We want to put the quarterback that wins in right,
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: we don't want to put like when they were talking
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: about Justin Fields in Chicago and how disingenuous the bad
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: producer would be about. I want to keep him. I'd
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: give him another shot. I'd make him a starter where
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: I am And why just because he's a black quarterback?
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: I don't But he's done nothing that would make me
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: believe he could help us win, and I don't think
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: that helps. Is we're going to keep a guy just
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: so it's racially acceptable or easily digested. I think that
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: does disservice to the black athlete as a whole. You
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: are dominant because you are the best at that position period.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Whatever makes you that more, accurate, faster, stronger, a combination
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: of the three.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: Whatever that is.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Put that guy in, and if he gets injured, whomever
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: is the next best option.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Put them in. Not just because he matches the color.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: We if we have a running offense, the best runner,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: regardless of his color at this position, Let's get that
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: guy in there.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: From what I've.
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: From the point I was making is that I think
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: the people who want to put in that that second
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: guy that if the backup is white, it comes from
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: just there being a smaller margin of air. Like I'm
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: talking about. You know, cam throws an incomplete pass. Now
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: we need to put Derek Anderson in like it's it can.
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: That might be an extreme example, but I think the
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: margin of air has been smaller to where people bring
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: that up like it went back to I read about
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: Warren Moon and Cody Carlson. People wanted to put Cody
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: Carlson in over Warren Moon. Every time Warren Moon may
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: have messed up or had a bad game, even think
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: that the better the better guy. But that's a football
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: and that's the style.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Travis.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Else, you miss a pass and everybody's like, oh man,
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: put his backup in you doing too much, Taylor swelt,
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: that's the problem and they and they just diminish his
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: entire body of work.
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: Well, but some of you will try to like really
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: justify it and and like make it make sense to
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: them that we should put the backup band because this
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: starter ain't.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: The backup is always the favorite player on any football team,
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: the backup quarterback. People always believe that to play. But
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: that doesn't have the color of them. Yes, because people
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: don't know football, and I.
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: Think there are people who don't know football they're having
- 1:09:44Speaker 7: like that had some influence on some decisions like that
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: as far as on on, Well now we need to
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: we need to put another black guys to back up
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: so the fans will stop talking.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: Ain't about that. I don't need to put another black guy.
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: I need to find another guy that runs the style.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: But I'm just quickly just trying to take you in
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: the huddle. If you got two quarterbacks and their styles
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: are different, then the playbook changes that instantly. So soon
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: as Michael Vick goes out and Matt shop comes in,
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: we start running different plays. We go from the read
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: option to five and seven step drops immediately. So the
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: Falcons learned that they let Mike, I mean Matt Shob go.
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: They brought in DJ Shockly, someone who would be more
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: mobile that they can kind of keep the same. And
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: that's what you're always trying to match up no matter
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: what color. Zach Wilson was not an Aaron Rodgers. He
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: was trying to run a system that's not him. You
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: can't have two variations of an offense now, third quarter
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: back or go off the street. Yes, but within a
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: game it needs to run similar and as simple as that.
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: So I'm gonna need to find mobile quarterbacks if i
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: want to run a mobile system, and it's just so few.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: When you get the change and you make certain when
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: you make certain decisions as an ownership to bring a
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: certain guy in and you're going to run a certain offense,
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: it's not always as easy to find somebody to come
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: in to back that person up because it's a total commitment.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: And that's why some teams are always afraid to bring
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: in a certain style.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: And command you Greg you earlier said that two things
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: can be true. I think because and they're talking about
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: this revolution and evolution of the black quarterback, there was
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: a time when maybe some of those decisions were made
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: based off the color of their skin. They can't read offenses,
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: they're not as all of that stuff. All of those
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: things have been prove but there can be an overcorrection
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: where now there are people who are screaming to just
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: insert the black guy because the NFL used to be racist,
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: and you know a lot of guys might be getting
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: back up positions if that were true based on We
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: just don't want to have to answer questions about why
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: we're racist or why we're not on the front line
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: of diversity and inclusion and all of those things. So
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: we'll do some of that. And again, that's over correction,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: and it's rooted in the foundation of racism. You want
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: me to give someone an opportunity and exclude somebody else
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: specifically because of the color of their skin.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: If that's not racism, I don't know what it is.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: And because it used to work one way doesn't mean
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: we should reverse it and keep doing it, just with
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: somebody else driving the car. We should just abandon this
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: vehicle altogether. We'll be back more to Sports doc Show
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: right after this.
- 1:13:10Speaker 31: If he really really paid or is he really competed
- 1:13:13Speaker 31: like anybody saying slurman ahead even if Curly be struck
- 1:13:16Speaker 31: by a couple in.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: But don't bowl Wayne.
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gantidias coming

- 1:15:51Speaker 5: Coming up things here today and going into the weekend.
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: Thatt Man, Michael Keaton, seventy three years old.
- 1:15:57Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: Rose McGowan is fifty one years old. Lena Della Dunn
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: of the Misstix is thirty five three d Dennis Scott
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: is fifty six. Lance Stevenson, which is funny that Lance
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: hasn't been in the league a couple of years, only
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: thirty four years old, and really as much as we
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: know of him, wasn't around that long. Just annoying. Mac Jones.
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: Where's Mac Jones now? Jacksonville? Backing up Trevor Lawrence more
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: of his style of offense, going back to your question,
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: Mac Jones, that's more of his style of offense. What
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: Trevor Lawrence does. Play action, pass, run the ball. That's him.
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: Twenty six years old. Cope McCoy. That's why Cope was
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: in Cleveland a lot of years. Kind of mobile move around,
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: that kind of Deshaun Watson, the Johnny Manzel, they like that.
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: That scrambler that tries to make plays is thirty eight
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: years old. Willie Gault, the Great Willie Galt sixty four.
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: Jonathan Majors is thirty five. You can you can still
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: say his name right?
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: Very low, okay, if making good standing next to him,
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: I guess you got a whisper the name.
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: Comedian Leslie Jones is fifty seven. Sugar Shamee Mosley fifty three,
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: probably having a fight this weekend.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Uh, you know they just pop up.
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: You know he's old, fifty three years old. Kevin Love
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: future Hall of Famer, thirty six years old. Donovan mcmichell
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: mc excuse me. Donovan Mitchell of the Calves is twenty eight.
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: Chris Christie is sixty two. Ryan shaz zeer linebacker most
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: famously who got his neck broke for the Steelers, thirty two.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: Mark Andrews the tight end twenty nine. Kevin Willis is
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: sixty two years old. It's Kevin Williams. Willless still cap
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: his good care of his body. If you ever see him,
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: still has a bounce like maybe he's fifty years old.
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: Sixty two. John Wall ooh, we haven't seen him on
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: the court so long. He's thirty four years old.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: And where is he? He might be up the street.
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: Macon Gray fifty seven, Ildris Eliba is fifty two, and
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: Foxy Brown is forty six years old. It's Brown. Glenn Davis,
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: Baby Davis. Since print is prison sentence has been delayed
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: to finish a docu series.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Command you you said, what is this series about? He's
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: making weed.
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: That might be part of him. He's making a documentary
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: about his life, sir.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: And if you I don't know if you've got it
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: queued up, but if you could play the national anthem
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: and allow us to stand and pay homage to this
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: great country that we live in, that you can come
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: to the court system that has convicted you of a
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: crime that you've been found guilty of by jury a
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: yopias and be like, hey, bron, I want to I
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: want to put that prison sentence on home until I
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: want to finish my documentary about the crime I committed
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: to go to prison.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: If we could just stay in.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: The clap for America, you can't do that nowhere else. Hey, bro,
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: I want to go to prison yet I want to
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: finish my movie. And they be like, okay, Okay, that's cool.
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: Bro. Bill Belichick is on social media. This is something
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: I called. When they kept saying twenty four to twenty
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: five year old girlfriend, I kept thinking, how do y'all
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: know that's not Bill's social media person? Who made that
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: girlfriend and boyfriend? When did they make that statement? Bill
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: has decided he was getting away from coaching. He's shown
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: that he's a coach, that whatever he's doing, he's doing,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: so it's no surprise that social media does not come
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: up in his world. Most likely this young lady. And
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: I'm not telling you what their romance he is. I'm saying,
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: how did you jump all the that and you never
- 1:20:01Speaker 5: went through? Maybe this is someone who's working for him
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: that he's using to get into the because he's a perfectionist,
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: so he's not gonna want to go in it halfway
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: and run that part of his life something he would
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: not understand at all. So he has a social media page,
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: he's on TV, he's doing media now, and maybe that
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: sums all that up.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: I never knew whether they were dating or not. All
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: I know is everybody slapped that up there. None of
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: our business anyway, not our business anyway. But I just
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: want to say, if you know, if I ever get
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: accused of being with a hot young thing, she gonna
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: be my social media expert. That's what we're going with. Well,
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: I don't think you have to go with it if
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: it correlates correlation.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Take a couple of pictures.
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: You're a seventy two year old man leaving something that
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: you've been doing for fifty two years or something like that.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Fifty two years, he said, Even Lee go to work
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: someplace that long. Like you can't do that in corporate America,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Like you just can't say that on your job.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: I don't imagine he's been a coach at least fifty years,
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. But you can't do that
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: in any other industry. Like, nah, man, I'm gonna just
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: try this bus now, sir, you got to stop.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: You go into media. You have to have some social
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: You don't want to be in the halfway. You don't
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: want to be in for him, he wants to make
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: a phone call. Yeah, and let somebody else put it
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: out the right way because him handling, he is around
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: and say one of them Bill Belichick.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Things, right, right, this was really stupid. I don't know
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: why we're here.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: And then he's canceled, and like what what it should
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: have came out? Not the decision I would have made.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Oh I should have said that. I should have said.
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: So that's Bill Belichick. Drew Holliday says, maybe comand you,
- 1:21:49Speaker 5: Greg and Big Kenny would like to send his brothers
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: over to LA for the three on three Olympics in
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: LA tournament. It feels like the Holiday boards. The three
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: that's in the NBA they could bring home in twenty
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: twenty eight. And I kept thinking about it. You do
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: need that familiarity when you watch that part of the Olympics.
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: It's a little sequence that nullifies talent, the chemistry of
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: the three people, because I would notice when our teams
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: would play, we would end up getting scored on a
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: lot because both of us keep running at the guy
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: with the ball. We're not in sequence on defense. We
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: don't know the little you know, codes and the little
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: looks that each other's needs. It has nothing to do
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: with talent, right, you know. And so he was like,
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: that's all that.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Who would make that decision?
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: Who would I mean, because now that it's out there
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: in the universe, somebody's had to have heard it, and
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: if not giving it consideration, because again we're talking about
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: NBA caliber players, well.
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: All three longtime NBA players, and I guess Drew, who's
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: won two NBA championships, just want a gold medal. Basically,
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: I think he can have what he wants if that's really.
- 1:23:10Speaker 7: What he wants somebody that catch the next town for him.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: He's got two gold medals, now like two gold, let
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: me get one into three on three and you know, but.
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: He made a good point from that, and you've already
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: got one third of the three on three team.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: It's a two time called medalist.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: So come on, man, and the other two I know
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: really really well, they're solid guys. I know him real well.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: Actually went to dinner last Wait, wait to come right
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: and right. We'll be back right after this. More to

- 1:26:34Speaker 5: twenty dollar contact handtop, you got it. Donald cont Handsome,
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: Welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you. Interesting story that
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: I have to sit down with my good friend Roddy
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: White and speak on over the next couple of days.
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: Hopefully we get to hang out at the Stiller Falcon
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: game on Sunday. Roddy White has made a huge statement
- 1:27:03Speaker 5: going on record to basically say that Clemson has too
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: many white boys on offense and that's why they got
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: beat the other day about Georgia thirty four to three.
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: I want to say, is that final score in that game?
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: And I thought it was a very interesting comment because
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: a lot of people seem to be hating on Dabbo Sweeney,
- 1:27:34Speaker 5: the head coach of Clemson, because Dabo is one of
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: the biggest opponents of this whole nil transfer portal system,
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: and in those steps, Dabo has minimalized his footprint in
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: recruitment of those type players. Similar to when this kind
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: of started in Duke Mike Krzyzewski. He was just never
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: a big one and done type guy. He was intentionally
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: skipping over some major talent because he didn't like the
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: one and done type philosophy. Now in this case Dabble
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: Sweeney who has been very adamant that this is not
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: a good system set up for teams and players. Comanche Greggs,
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: quarterback down at Florida State, started at Clemson, DJ Ugly
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: Alungley something like that.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Close enough, okay, dju As who has on his third team.
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: Yes, it just keeps bouncing around, looking for nil deals,
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: looking for places to start where he thinks he can
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: catapult himself into a first round.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: The first time is the first couple of times he
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: was chasing in ild is the next time he moved,
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: it's going to because.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: Look, you got to get up out of here. I'm sorry,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: you can't stay here.
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: I saw TJ. Finley at Western Kentucky last week. This
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: is his fourteen with the at a year of COVID
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: which gave him six years. This is his fourth teen.
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: He started at LSU, went to Auburn, and he went
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: to Texas State. Now he's at Western Kentucky. Like you're
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: bouncing around, you're not actually learning a system. And as
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: much as we were talking about systems earlier, you have
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: to be fluent and your best year in a system
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: is the second year of it. So, like you know,
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: I'm just trying to know.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: And so it's Roddy White saying that the quote unquote
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: white boys on the roster, are they not as athletic?
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Are they not as capable of picking up the offenses?
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: Because there's usually something that is attributed to your lack
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: of proficiency in sports. So your hands ain't quick enough,
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: your eye hand coordination isn't where it's supposed to be,
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: You're not fast enough moving laterally, something like that.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: What is Roddy White attributing the heavy whiteness on the
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: roster to.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: Lacking I think he's just alluding to butpecially offensively Clemson,
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: if they went into the portal, they did all the
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: things the NIO money, they would have more black presence
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: offensively than they do because they don't. And that's what
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: that doubles Swart. You're saying that we're only mercenaries.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: I was just about to use that word. Stop, We'll
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: talk about system and symbiotic and all of that. That
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: was just about, say, so, what is he gonna say
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: when people come out and say so you saying black
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: athletes are basically mercenary, we're mercenary, we're bag chasers, basically
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: in a sense, it sounds that that's how you can
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: look at it from the other side.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: We're athletic prostitute.
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: That maybe the white contingency is more loyal their decision
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: of where they choose to go, and.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: We are athletic prostitutes as black athletes. That's what it sounds.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: That's what it sounds. That's what it sounds like. Well
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: and not, that's what it sounds like. That's what it is.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: If you're willing to go out and take some of
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: these people that's willing to take some money and.
- 1:31:44Speaker 5: Always been around like That's why I said. There was
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: Duke under Mike Shiessky, and then there was Kentucky under
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: John Caliperry. Everybody knows that's a one two year school.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: You're gone Duke went for As matter of fact, he's
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: gonna be around to that. They were juniors at Duke.
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: And it can all you had to come was basketball
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: season wasn't no one year, just basketball season, no class,
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: no class.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: You're just gonna do these love.
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: A couple, two three leaving April April, I'm talking, and
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: you probably won't even go on campus except for practice.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: We ain't gonna do nine that, you know, ye rely.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: So I think this is just.
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: Because I heard other Paul Finebahn and different people criticizing Dabbo.
- 1:32:31Speaker 5: I think this is Dabbos, who first of all, has
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: won two national titles in his time at Clemson, has
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: had at least ten eleven twelve ten plus win seasons,
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: really putting them back on the map. Fell off last
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: year with a nine and four record, you know how, Yeah,
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: deplorable nine and four who does that? Has kind of
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: stuck with his guns of he's looking more or to
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: enhance the old system, but not go as wild west
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: as you see other program sticks out it just sticks out.
- 1:33:08Speaker 7: More with him because there were four schools who did
- 1:33:13Speaker 7: not get anybody in the transfer portal. Three of them
- 1:33:17Speaker 7: are the military academies who do not take transfers in
- 1:33:20Speaker 7: that way, and Clemson, so it sticks out to like, Okay,
- 1:33:26Speaker 7: you're nine and four, so you've got to improve your
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: team and you didn't go out and get any of
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: these guys who are looking to go to another school,
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: and you're not making any promises about nil. And that's
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: what the it seems like. I don't know if it's
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: the perception of people or if it's actually the perception
- 1:33:47Speaker 7: of the players, like that's that's their priority. But for him, like,
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: we're not making that a priority. I mean that you
- 1:33:54Speaker 7: can have those opportunities, but we're not promising you anything.
- 1:33:58Speaker 5: And that's what that seems to be the And but
- 1:34:03Speaker 5: you have that on you have that on high school,
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: I call they have it on college. We've seen it
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: in pros the Braids for a long time and still today.
- 1:34:12Speaker 5: They're more organizational players farm system got farm systems than
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: they are going out a guide freak for free right.
- 1:34:22Speaker 5: The Patriots, for all those years of dominance, they were
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: more in house staff promoters. The Stellers were more in
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: house staff promote or recycle. So even if you left
- 1:34:36Speaker 5: here and went down to the Texans for two years,
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: they fired you. They just brought back the line back
- 1:34:40Speaker 5: of coach. It was kind of like that kind of
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: mindset instead of just going out and getting something completely
- 1:34:48Speaker 5: new and foreign, they kind of stuck with good.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: Old faithful And now, speaking of coaching, is your good
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: friend Roddy White still coaching?
- 1:35:00Speaker 5: She is? He was quotching the wide receivers.
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: Last Okay, So now statements like this can be seen
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: as incendiary. Does he have any concern that someone will
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: take offense to this and call for him to be
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: canceled in his coaching, Because if that's your philosophy, could
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: someone look at his program and go, oh, that's why
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: my son didn't get that backup position?
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: Well, I would hope not. I would hope you could
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: just hear that as how he viewed the game right right.
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: And I'm saying I only bring that up because very
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: few people in today's landscape take words at their face
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: value anymore. They want to dig into something and make
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: it something that I never intended it to be. But
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: I was just speaking my opinion. You asked me how
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: I felt about it. I told you, And now we're
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: in court because you've accused me of some sort of
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: nefarious common uh conduct.
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: Dwight Howard, the Hall of Famer to be basketball player,
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: Kenny said, is part of dancing with the stall.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: Yes, sh shimmy shod me two and three.
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: I just want and yes, and yes, I can see
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: the white women he's going to win.
- 1:36:20Speaker 26: Do you think he don't come out as a consensual Yeah,
- 1:36:24Speaker 26: but I ain't do what you thought I did and
- 1:36:27Speaker 26: not be fierce, Yes, hunting, Yes.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: Because yes he's athletic, he's long, he's agile.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: And already get to wear my shirt with my chest out.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: Oh you're gonna get this.
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: And we've seen him like EMMITTT. Smith, like Jered Rice.
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: We've seen guys like Dwight Howard, who was right. They
- 1:36:49Speaker 5: were always two steppers dancing. Yes, they were always the
- 1:36:52Speaker 5: two step. Yeah.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: You think I'm fast and got good hands, but have
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you seen this name?
- 1:36:58Speaker 16: You know?
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: Have you seen me whipping name? Name?
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: You not ready for that part of it? And they'll
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: throw it into the touchdown dance. I got to everybody
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: wants to show you that I'm multifaceted.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: So this.
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: When I saw that Dwight Howard was part of this,
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: the first thing I thought is, Oh, that's mirror ball
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: trophy right there.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: That dude is taking home the trophy.
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: Yeah, when you told me, I was thinking, now everybody's
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: gonna laugh and try to make this and I'm thinking,
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: but the one or two guys. I know they had
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: great success, Yes personally. Not only were athletes, but they
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: were the dancers. The dancers. They about the first two
- 1:37:37Speaker 5: dancers on the court, yeah, or on the dance floor,
- 1:37:40Speaker 5: they'd be right out there.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: You the one go to the DJ. You ain't set
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: up yet. It ain't set up yet.

- 1:39:27Speaker 24: Good job.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: So what should I do with all these coals?
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: Don't just toss them out?
- 1:39:31Speaker 34: Put them in a metal container because those embers can
- 1:39:34Speaker 34: start a wildfire.

- 1:39:52Speaker 9: The storm rolls in, my time to find a pet
- 1:39:55Speaker 9: friendly evacuation center will have run out.
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: The scorching heat way. Believe me paralyst to cool my insulin.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: I'll face a hurricane without METS. Now that's a tough
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: pill to swallow.
- 1:40:06Speaker 13: Let's prepare so we all have a better story to tell.

- 1:40:17Speaker 1: And now back to the sports, John Wayne Candy its
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: wing lock on. Say you can see the sports jaint,
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: I'll see.
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: Even canny Welcome back to this wy shot shoe, this
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: Smoy shock, Wayne KNDy. Caitlin Clark once again in the
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: news cycle. Just can't keep this young lady down. Charles
- 1:40:58Speaker 5: Barkley has slammed the w NBA and its pettiness. Slam's
- 1:41:05Speaker 5: petty WNBA players as he claims they have messed up
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: Caitlin Clark's rookie season last night with another triple double.
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: There's only been four triple doubles this year. She has
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: two of them. Listle Thomas from Connecticut have the other two.
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: It is hands down now going into the Olympic breaks.
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: I said that it was even right now it's Caitland
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: Clark's rookie trophy. I think Caitlin Clark is the best
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: point guard in the w NBA. She would be my
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: top five players at the Asia. Wilson, Breonna Stewart, Official
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: Causier and Orique from Dallas. I would put Caitlyn Clark
- 1:41:49Speaker 5: no knock against Angel Reath outstanding what she has done.
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: That's the Angel I expected to show up. But the
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: only thing that Caitlin brings not only is better point scoring,
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: but she actually is dominating. She's doing that Jason Kidd
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: Magic Johnson thing where the other team is actually having
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: to react to her. Get back or were going in
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: the bucket. Everybody's screaming back. I mean she is forcing
- 1:42:17Speaker 5: the other team back. I think half of the reason
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: they're mad is because she makes them tired. They just
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: have to get back or she's going to embarrass him.
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: A lot is being said. We talked about this with
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: the Olympics. I thought they should send Angel Rees and
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: Caitlin Clark. We have let too much emotion cloud business.
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: And what is Charles Barkley saying that they basically the
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: pettiness of them are not allowing them to take advantage
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: of the opportunity. This whole trying to disparage as though
- 1:42:54Speaker 5: this young lady is not Greg she's giving you twenty
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: a night, she leads the league in a she's made
- 1:43:01Speaker 5: more threes than anybody. She's moved a team that won
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: like two games three games last year to winning nineteen
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: games this year. What else did you want from her?
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: She could have been you know, blasts.
- 1:43:17Speaker 5: I don't know what, I don't know what you're doing for.
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: I'm just saying she could have been it. It would
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: have been real cool if she was black. I ain't
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: say that. I ain't say that. I'm just saying that,
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: has she not been who she is, it would have
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: been easier to promote her.
- 1:43:35Speaker 5: So the eighteen points, nine assists, seven rebounds, ninety one
- 1:43:41Speaker 5: percent from the free throw line.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and now if she had done that and turned
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: around and say give them glow?
- 1:43:48Speaker 5: Did that?
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: That would have been I'm saying, and I'm what she did.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: I'm just saying from a marketing And then you be mad.
- 1:43:57Speaker 5: If you if if her music came from underneath their
- 1:44:01Speaker 5: headphones and she was playing that, you would say she was.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: What is it called when you racially profile and some
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: you know, like we're trying to take over that too.
- 1:44:14Speaker 5: Appropriation? Appropriation, Oh yeah, because she's not supposed to listen
- 1:44:18Speaker 5: to Glow.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: Well, I'm saying she can't do that. It's her.
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: If she could have, if she could have been Caitlyn Clark,
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: but look like Angel Reese and came from where Roddy
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: White came from. No, I'm just saying, y'all don't see that.
- 1:44:36Speaker 3: Y'all don't see the dollar signs. Y'all don't see the
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: dollar signs. The collaboration with Uzi Vert, y'all don't see that.
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: Y'all don't see that. But I mean, it's cool what
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: she does. I think you know, it's cool. It's cool though,
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: if that's what you want to do with w NBA,
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: it's cool. Okay, Okay, Well, look like, hands down would
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: be the rookie other year. As I said, I wouldn't
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: be surprised if she's not first team.
- 1:45:01Speaker 5: W NBA. But it seems to be something about her
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: has sparked revolutional hate within the sport, not just the
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: fan base, between the spirit of the players and I
- 1:45:18Speaker 5: can't figure out. I don't want it just to be that.
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: I guess maybe and see this is what it is.
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: Wanted to be something deeper. I want you to tell
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: me about. They had some recording when she was thirteen.
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: And she said she said, uh, Asians and Mexicans.
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: You know what, why, I've already done that, that's already happened.
- 1:45:42Speaker 7: People have gone back through her Twitter, back if she
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: had a Twitter when she was ten years old, or
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: like what kind of crazy stuff that may she have said,
- 1:45:52Speaker 7: and they hadn't found anything. So people are still digging, digging.
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: See this is this is the part that upsets me.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: If there was a time when you wanted the in
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: the WNBA to have the spotlight, you wanted the fan
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: base to expand you wanted people to pack out arenas,
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: you wanted people to talk about the WNBA in the
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: same breath with the other major sports, and now they're
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: doing that, And because it's not a black player at
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: the forefront of that expansion, everybody's upset. And I think
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: that's horribly one sided, disingenuous and racist. Sure, you would
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: have loved for all of this to have happened when
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: it was Maya More or it was you know what
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: I'm saying, a Candas Parker. You thought those names were
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: gonna be the ones that and it didn't happen, and
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: now it's happening. Another thing that I think a lot
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: of people are a little bit sideways about inside the
- 1:46:54Speaker 3: industry is not only is she a non black player,
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: but she's got far more of a feminine age than
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: we've seen in w NBA players. And a lot of
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: people wanted that athlete to be the face they wanted
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: the Britney grind to be on some Hey, it was
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: out there, Yeah wn b A, it's fantastic, bruh, and
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: everybody be like yay.
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: Well, and there have been different movements and sometimes you
- 1:47:22Speaker 5: don't know who is going to carry the movement. There
- 1:47:26Speaker 5: was the Tim Tbow era, there was the Cam Newton.
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: It goes back and forth and there is no particular
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: even moment that you can know when it's gonna take fire.
- 1:47:39Speaker 5: But the difference is with a T bow. With with
- 1:47:44Speaker 5: t Bow, everything was taking knee for the prayer. With Cam,
- 1:47:50Speaker 5: everything was pull the shirt open Superman with.
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: Us the three. But then the but then the w
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: NBA goes okay, look over here, look over here? Did
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: you see these people don't pay attention to her.
- 1:48:04Speaker 5: We'll be back more to sports stock show after.
- 1:48:06Speaker 31: This Boody Bingen prop with me Impasachi fans, stocky boat
- 1:48:10Speaker 31: lacking stands a thing of beauty, splatchy, faty, crazy like nature,
- 1:48:14Speaker 31: foxy doze the native, truly reason and bust the twity
- 1:48:16Speaker 31: and keep tasting to.
- 1:48:17Speaker 8: Your be watching, don't go away. More of the Sports
- 1:48:21Speaker 8: John Show with Wayne Daan. Video's coming up next.
- 1:48:25Speaker 9: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:48:28Speaker 9: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:48:31Speaker 9: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:48:35Speaker 9: life insurance.
- 1:48:36Speaker 30: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:48:38Speaker 30: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:48:46Speaker 30: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:48:47Speaker 30: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:48:49Speaker 30: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:48:51Speaker 30: the insurance informant.
- 1:48:53Speaker 9: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:48:56Speaker 9: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:48:58Speaker 30: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:49:01Speaker 30: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:49:03Speaker 9: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:49:05Speaker 9: whether you earn a little or a lot. All you
- 1:49:07Speaker 9: need is the insurance informat to help you build a
- 1:49:10Speaker 9: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:49:13Speaker 9: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:49:18Speaker 9: Log on today Benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits
- 1:49:22Speaker 9: or bills dot com.
- 1:49:25Speaker 27: When I first had my baby, I get comments all
- 1:49:28Speaker 27: the time about how happy I ms be. I remember
- 1:49:30Speaker 27: thinking I want to be happy? Why don't I feel
- 1:49:33Speaker 27: that way? It was hard to admit that, even to
- 1:49:35Speaker 27: my doctor, but I'm glad I did. She told me
- 1:49:37Speaker 27: it was postpartum depression and that is very treatable. These days,
- 1:49:41Speaker 27: things are feeling good and we're both happier about that. Right,
- 1:49:43Speaker 27: little man, I'll.
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: Take that as a yes.
- 1:49:47Speaker 25: Mental healthcare is working for Simon. See what it can
- 1:49:49Speaker 25: do for you at Mentalhealthcare Works dot org.
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: A message from the American Psychiatric Association Foundation.
- 1:49:57Speaker 17: And now back to the sports John Wayne and it's
- 1:50:03Speaker 17: time for the school board when we put a spin
- 1:50:06Speaker 17: on LFE and.
- 1:50:07Speaker 24: Sports and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show
- 1:50:13Speaker 24: with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:16Speaker 5: Music Welco about to wat Shock Show. I'm the swat
- 1:50:38Speaker 5: Shock Wayne Kind Ashley Watkins up at South Carolina was
- 1:50:43Speaker 5: arrested on assault and kidnapping charges for the South Carolina
- 1:50:46Speaker 5: basketball team. Yes, Ashland, that is kidnapping. For you that
- 1:50:54Speaker 5: might not know. Removal of a person from one place
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: against their will to another place is kidnapping. I know
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: in the TV show, it makes it seem like you
- 1:51:07Speaker 5: got to drive across town.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: And put it on in the basement, put them in
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: the trunk, take him to a hideout, and then release
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: a they release a ransom note. But if you go, oh,
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: you know what it is, homeboy, let's let's go everybody
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: in the bedroom.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kidnaped.
- 1:51:22Speaker 5: Yes, she headlocked the young lady, drug her out to
- 1:51:25Speaker 5: her car, through in the car, and they dress kidnapping.
- 1:51:29Speaker 5: So I'm quite sure the judge will you know, inform
- 1:51:32Speaker 5: you of that massage. But that is kidnapping when people
- 1:51:38Speaker 5: because people are trying to make it seem like.
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: It's not but that and it's usually the perpetrator. That's
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: people that try to make it seem like a because
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: you don't be knowing. You think you just told everybody
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: to go to the bedroom. I was just trying to
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: get them out of the crime area. And now you
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: say I'm kidnapped.
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: Three people.
- 1:51:56Speaker 5: That's not a Missouri bald eagle at some traffic was
- 1:52:04Speaker 5: found in traffic some highway dwellers that pulled over. I
- 1:52:09Speaker 5: feared that the eagle, the ball eagle was injured. Was
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: deemed simply too fat to fly. Seemed that the bald
- 1:52:18Speaker 5: eagle had seen some a little road kill, scooped down
- 1:52:23Speaker 5: and ate the raccoon and just too heavy. Couldn't get
- 1:52:29Speaker 5: back up from that size raccoon.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: Sir, gonna turn that TV on the news for me, babing,
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: bring me a beer from refrigerator boy, so he.
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: Couldn't get back up.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: Comn I'm just sit here for a minute.
- 1:52:49Speaker 5: That's all.
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: That's all. That was a good meal, baby, that was delicious.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: That raccoon who it had to be about twenty five
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: one hundred pounds right there, so.
- 1:52:58Speaker 5: I guess he when he went to take off, he
- 1:53:00Speaker 5: couldn't get back up. He over eight, basically the eagle
- 1:53:04Speaker 5: is what the story is saying. Just over eight a
- 1:53:07Speaker 5: little bit there and we've all done it. Am I right?
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: Am I right? Oklahoma's caught a piece of that roll kill.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: Got too much, you know what I'm saying. Oklahoma State
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: QR code, the n C Double A has blocked it.
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: We talked about this last week that Oklahoma State, for
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: their n I L was going to put a QR
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: code on the helmet to be able to allow fans
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: to give money.
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: And I knew when this happened, this couldn't be a team.
- 1:53:40Speaker 5: It could be a conference by conference or mostly a
- 1:53:44Speaker 5: national rule. But I didn't see this flying as a
- 1:53:47Speaker 5: one team situation. This would be something that all the
- 1:53:51Speaker 5: teams in the conference that would have to.
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: Vote to be on board now or the n C
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: Double A as a whole.
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: And in my mind, I'm kind of knowing Oklahoma State
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: kind of knew that it was just one of those
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: I'd rather ask for forgiveness and permission because.
- 1:54:09Speaker 5: The worst thing they can tell us is I can't
- 1:54:11Speaker 5: do it right.
- 1:54:12Speaker 3: And at that time, we at least collected four hundred
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: thousand dollars and we put out there that we were
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: the first to do it, to do it yes, which
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: is sometimes the key when you're talking about recruitment, to
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: be able to say we were on the cutting edge
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: of that situation.
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: Lil Wayne and Skip Bayless promise a new show coming
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: up either if you know the name these two seem
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: to be destined to keep them a show. I don't know.
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: I thought I saw a name Skip Bayles's left partner interruption.
- 1:54:41Speaker 5: Now he's gonna collab with Lil Wayne, who they say
- 1:54:44Speaker 5: have been friends here for a while.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: You know how long scap, how loud skip?
- 1:54:53Speaker 5: That's how p so we will see. But I don't
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: know if they have a new name for it yet,
- 1:55:00Speaker 5: but that is something I saw in the works. Commander's
- 1:55:05Speaker 5: VP Raoul Intien, how you say his name?
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: Raoul Rauel.
- 1:55:18Speaker 5: From the Washington Commanders, And then Inton Roll and Dane,
- 1:55:26Speaker 5: who was recorded giving his opinion of the state of
- 1:55:35Speaker 5: the Washington Commander's players, went on about Roger Goodell uh
- 1:55:42Speaker 5: in a lot of situations. That just seems that the
- 1:55:45Speaker 5: Commanders just cannot seem to get out of the spotlight
- 1:55:50Speaker 5: for off the field activities. They've done a whole power structure,
- 1:55:58Speaker 5: got rid of the owners, all the coaches, and everybody else.
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: And now the VP for them is in the recording
- 1:56:07Speaker 5: talking about the players are homophobic, that Jerry Jones hates
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: black players, And I want to know, guy, if Jerry
- 1:56:22Speaker 5: Jones hate black players so much, why does he pay
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: him so much money? I don't know. I don't know
- 1:56:28Speaker 5: comand you that's your team. Can you tell me that
- 1:56:33Speaker 5: been a lot of money.
- 1:56:36Speaker 7: It's overstated. It's overstated for too in saying that, because
- 1:56:48Speaker 7: you know he if that were the case, yeah, he
- 1:56:50Speaker 7: wouldn't sign any he wouldn't draft any. So I think
- 1:56:57Speaker 7: it's because he's the most visible owner or the more
- 1:57:01Speaker 7: outspoken ones, the ones that we we know his name.
- 1:57:06Speaker 7: I think he's just that's just an easy target kind
- 1:57:08Speaker 7: of thing.
- 1:57:09Speaker 5: And and I say that not just for because you
- 1:57:11Speaker 5: never know a person's heart. I don't know Jerry Jones personally.
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: I never really heard any of his players speak on
- 1:57:19Speaker 5: him like that, like the Emmetts or the Michael Irvings.
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: And if he hates black players, I want him to
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: hate me like he hate Dak Prescott. Just keep me
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: around with me not living up to my potential and
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: keep giving me raises and making me the high hating
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: me on top of that.
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: I hate this Dak forty two million a year. Oh
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: I can't stand this boy. I hate me like that
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: just one season.
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: I don't need it all, just like you don't need
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: a whole Oh yeah, work for hate hate me, hate
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: me through the middle of next season and then I
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: just get out your way.
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: Jared Jones, Yes, I guess hate just different. It's differct
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: I guess it's different.
- 1:58:03Speaker 5: Misigated boy ceedee lamb about forty five a year, Like.
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: I say, just hate me through the twenty twenty five seats.
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: And we are in the ocean.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 1:58:18Speaker 24: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk

- 1:59:28Speaker 5: football is upon us as well. Florida State is already
- 1:59:31Speaker 5: out of the top twenty five. Sorry about that, commands you, Greg.
- 1:59:35Speaker 5: Auburn and Southern miss aren't even in it. So just

- 1:59:40Speaker 5: get comfortable on one of these bud lights from Arkansas
- 1:59:45Speaker 5: that Big Kenny bought me.
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: Hey Come.

- 1:59:51Speaker 5: go to Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcast, Spotify, Audible, a Deezer,
- 1:59:58Speaker 5: or iHeart Radio and catch to replay. Sad news once
- 2:00:04Speaker 5: again coming out of the world of sports here in
- 2:00:08Speaker 5: Atlanta yesterday, National News young fourteen year old coach Gray
- 2:00:16Speaker 5: Appalachi High School. It's left two students and two teachers dead.
- 2:00:23Speaker 5: One of those teachers were defensive coordinator of the Appalachi
- 2:00:28Speaker 5: High School football team. So you should expect that game
- 2:00:34Speaker 5: most likely to be canceled this weekend. But this is
- 2:00:39Speaker 5: not necessarily for anything other than to continue that we
- 2:00:46Speaker 5: stay village vigilant in all that we do when it
- 2:00:51Speaker 5: comes to high school all schools communication. I think this
- 2:00:58Speaker 5: is something that we quickly put behind us because we
- 2:01:01Speaker 5: want it to go away. We want to believe it's
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: just a one off, a two off, or fourteen off,
- 2:01:11Speaker 5: a twenty seven off, a thirty five off. We just
- 2:01:17Speaker 5: don't want to embrace it to be a social norm.
- 2:01:21Speaker 5: But at some point that's the only way to really
- 2:01:24Speaker 5: beat it. To understand that for some reason, this part
- 2:01:30Speaker 5: of our society has been under attack for a while
- 2:01:34Speaker 5: and we'll continue. So we have to stead fast, keep
- 2:01:40Speaker 5: our eyes open, change the rules of the school, and
- 2:01:44Speaker 5: sometimes when things break down you do have to just
- 2:01:47Speaker 5: take it all apart and put it back together. Maybe
- 2:01:51Speaker 5: the old way of how we protect has to leave
- 2:01:54Speaker 5: and we have to find some new genius way of
- 2:01:58Speaker 5: protecting students and teachers in our education system because one
- 2:02:05Speaker 5: of these every decade is too many. So imagine one
- 2:02:09Speaker 5: or two a year, how that sounds. So stay prayed
- 2:02:15Speaker 5: up and to the families of not only the people
- 2:02:19Speaker 5: that pass, but the nine other victims that were hurt.
- 2:02:23Speaker 5: Our prayers to you for your strength and faith that
- 2:02:28Speaker 5: you can get through what you have gone through in
- 2:02:31Speaker 5: the last forty eight hours from the Sports Shock Show.
- 2:02:37Speaker 5: As we always say on Thursday, we'll see you in
- 2:02:40Speaker 5: the future.
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: Peace,
