- 1:50- Today's prayer topic is dealing with what to
- 1:53- do when the Bible can fix you.
- 1:55- Scriptural text comes from Psalm one thirty nine
- 1:58- twenty three through 24
- 2:00- and says, search for me, God, and know
- 2:02- my heart.
- 2:03- See if there is any offensive way in
- 2:06- me and lead me in the way everlasting.
- 2:11- Sometimes scripture exposes something we'd rather not confront,
- 2:17- our attitude,
- 2:19- our words,
- 2:21- our priorities,
- 2:23- our unforgiveness,
- 2:25- our pride.
- 2:28- We can either defend ourselves or
- 2:31- allow God to change us.
- 2:34- Correction can feel uncomfortable because it requires honesty,
- 2:38- but biblical conviction isn't God rejecting us. It's
- 2:41- God revealing what is preventing us from becoming
- 2:43- more like Christ.
- 2:45- Prayer turns conviction into surrender.
- 2:48- Instead of avoiding what God reveals, we can
- 2:51- pray,
- 2:52- heavenly father, I see it.
- 2:54- Help me change it.
- 2:57- We stop defending the behavior and begin inviting
- 2:59- God into the transformation.
- 3:02- Let's pray.
- 3:05- Dear Lord, give me a heart that welcomes
- 3:07- your correction.
- 3:09- When your word reveals something that needs to
- 3:11- change,
- 3:12- keep me from becoming defensive
- 3:14- or making excuses.
- 3:16- Give me humility to acknowledge it and courage
- 3:19- to
- 3:20- surrender
- 3:21- it. Thank you for loving me enough to
- 3:24- correct me and patiently shaping me into the
- 3:27- person you've called me to become,
- 3:30- and I will bless you in Jesus' name.
- 3:33- When scripture exposes something today,
- 3:36- don't rush past it.
