- RAC Chandler: Henry, all those guys. Aaron: Mike's high. Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: I guess we're going without boys. Yeah. All right. Yeah. RAC Chandler: Ooh, because of how hot Mike was. Ryan: Dried you out. Aaron: Welcome back to Run After Cast, the college football podcast. I'm Aaron, and finally as usual, joined by Ryan. And Chandler's back this week. Ryan: Hey guys. RAC Chandler: going on gentlemen. I'm I'm glad to be back. I missed you guys. And watching the podcast was ⁓ it was fun because I didn't know what they were recording about, so came in blind to it and ⁓ it was it was a really good episode. So I I told Ryan I they could just do the show without me and I can just edit for them or something because they were they were flowing. It was it was a it was a fun listen. Aaron: Ha ha. Ha ha. Ryan: No, we missed you. A lot of a lot of people were asking where you were, so Glad you're back. Aaron: Yeah, we did RAC Chandler: ⁓ yeah, I appreciate that. Aaron: Ha ha ha. No, we took the opportunity last week since Chandler wasn't with us ⁓ to just talk about the SEC. And yeah, it did mean more. It meant more of us dogging on the SEC than I thought it would, but ⁓ we have fun with it. But since you're back, and this week was a quiet week. ⁓ not much going on in the world of college football news, so we figured RAC Chandler: Means more. Yeah. Aaron: Let's get your input on some of the stuff we talked about last week. A quick one before we hop into our main subject of the episode, which we are all talking about. Three players who we will think will We each are bringing three players from our teams that we will think will have an electric season this year coming up. So people to keep an eye on. So before we hop into that, channel last week we talked about the five for five rule. And I know you probably have a couple thoughts on that. So we dove into it. What a year takes. RAC Chandler: Yeah, I like it. I think it's well overdue. I mean, like you guys said, there there's still people having covet years and all kinds of different stuff. I mean, like Ryan was talking about last or for that episode, Akeem Mesador and ⁓ Bain, I mean, they're old fellas. I mean they were they've been around the block, they've played their college ball. So, I mean it it'll be nice to see I think what you guys bro broke it down. I I don't I haven't looked into the rules super well, but I think what is it? It starts the clock at nineteen or whenever you enroll first, like whichever one comes first. ⁓ so it'll be good to not have twenty four, twenty five year olds in the in the sport and just have your your raw college athletics and then they'll work into the NFL. So it'll be it'll be good to bring that age median down. ⁓ but overall I I like it. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: say something I forgot to mention last week. I think as a whole, yes, I don't want to see those more mature bodies, you know, ⁓ taking over the game. But there will be no fun stories. I forgot to say this last time. There was a guy named Joe Thomas Sr. Who back in 2016, ⁓ he was a 55 year old walk-on running back at South Carolina, but South Carolina State, not real South Carolina. So we'll have no more no more fun stories like that, you know, a D1 Running back fifty five years old. So RAC Chandler: That that's that's the definition of a mature body. Ryan: Well, maybe too much. That was prime. Aaron: So what you're saying is there's still a chance for me. Well, not anymore. Five five takes care of me. Yeah. RAC Chandler: ⁓ yeah, there we go. Ryan: There would have been, but not Yeah. Five for five, you can't go play running back. RAC Chandler: No, it's good though. It'll be interesting because like extreme example, it's not gonna happen. But people like Jeremiah Smith, he could come back next year and play. This is only his third year. So he could theoretically have three more years, including this year. Won't happen, but that'd be pretty cool to to dream on. But all these guys that are like that enjoy staying through college, like Brandon Innis, who we're gonna talk about later, for one of my guys. I mean, he's a fourth year senior coming in, and that'll give him like if he wanted to continue his, you know, NFL draft stock. Aaron: Yeah. If he's insane, yeah. RAC Chandler: Brian, he gets day for fifth year. So it'll give those kind of guys that are the middle of the road kind of workhorses that really need to shine and prove their worth and and upgrade their draft stock. It'll give them an extra year do it. And they won't be pressed to have to, you know, come out the gate swinging their freshman year when they can still have those four years and they can use the first year as a developmental year still. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. But even in that developmental year where we could see them take more snaps, if they have, you know, that high level talent right out the gate, where it's like, okay, we can see them coming in and clutch moments and things like that that ⁓ the coach sees the player thrive in. I would love to see that, especially with some young talent. I love, as you said, that idea of, you know, coming back for a fifth year for those guys on the edge that it's like they could go RAC Chandler: Exactly. Aaron: Probably not draft but get signed and it's like one more year to see if that draft pick is gonna go through for ⁓ that would be something where it's like, cool. I I it it brings it down, but we're not having anybody in their seventh year. RAC Chandler: I think Ryan mentioned it. He was talking about going in and the redshirt rule being kind of finicky, especially with Auburn last year. There's a lot of good examples, but where like you certain guys couldn't play a certain amount of games because that would ruin the redshirt eligibility. But now it's like if you're wanna rotate through and you wanna keep that depth flowing and keep people healthy and keep the the legs fresh, and then now it gives you the opportunity if you're blown out a team to keep these guys in and get them the snaps to be able to go in and play. Plus, I mean just as as depth. Ryan: Yeah. ⁓ sorry. RAC Chandler: I mean you're gonna be able to rotate guys in that you would normally have to sit if they're gonna teat that red shirt. So now they can they can take as many snaps as they want. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, which I do think helps developmental. Ryan: Yeah, and like Damari Alston ⁓ sorry. Yeah, and like Damari Alston was one of the examples I used. But it's people like him are doing this all over the country where they're f they play their first couple of games and they're not really having the same performance that they were expecting themselves to have. So they're like, I don't wanna almost waste my year this year playing so bad that I wanna play another year or almost wait to transfer to another school and perform better there. Aaron: No, I I I'm glad to hear that you're on that same page as us. Like I I think as as a rat consensus now we can say ⁓ w we all like five for five so far and we'll have to see how it all comes out. Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ RAC Chandler: Yeah, just move change it to nine for nine, ten for ten. Exactly. Ryan: Mm-hmm. COVID clause. Aaron: But other than that, like I said, there's not much going on this week in the world of college football. So in our preseason quiet weeks, the few we have left, which is exciting. what do you you have a question? RAC Chandler: Yes. ⁓ so pre-recording we talk we talked about, you know, getting my opinions on the actual content of the episode and not just the news portion. So Aaron just conveniently forgot to have my opinion on any of the SEC stuff we talked about Aaron: ⁓ I forgot I yeah. Hey, listen, us SEC boys just don't value the opinion of Big Ten fans. So you can tell it's happened multiple times on this show. So ⁓ yeah. Do you have any pushback for our SEC conversation that we had? ⁓ yeah, perhaps maybe around a choice word like significantly. Ryan: Here. RAC Chandler: It just pr it blends in perfect. Yeah, yeah. Mm. Nope, no opinions, let's keep the upside pressing. No, I mean I think it was funny. I think I called Ryan immediately after and was like, hey, I ⁓ I really like the comparison of the SEC being significantly better ⁓ than the Big Ten top to bottom. And I like how you use the word significantly to make it really stand out more. And he was like, No, I mean it's a and when I really thought 'cause I was driving home for Orlando, so I had plenty of time to just ponder this episode and and figure out what I was gonna say. So really thinking about it. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Yeah. RAC Chandler: To take the humble pie. I mean, it truthfully is. I mean, the SEC all the way through is a lot more dominant than the Big Ten is. Now, the Big Ten, you can have that top eight argument ⁓ of top end, top end competing against each other. ⁓ really, I mean like top five, maybe not eight. I don't know if we're gonna give eight to the Big Ten. But ⁓ you can have the argument there, but all the way through, I mean, there's a reason why the SEC leads usually in the NFL draft. I think the NFL draft last year, the SEC had the most. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: draft picks ⁓ out of all the conferences and usually that's the same for every year. So I mean you can't really argue with numbers, ⁓ whether or not you have the emotion and the the humility to say that is one thing. ⁓ but I mean the numbers don't lie. And it's fun to have the banter. That's what makes the sports gr the sp the sport in college football great. ⁓ to have that argument because there always will be one top dog, but who it is is always up to up for the debate. And that that's that's why I enjoy this podcast with you guys because I I bring in the the one third consensus of of the big ten. But I think ⁓ it was interesting because I have similar opinions. I think if you were gonna talk about the College Bowl playoff and you were gonna put ⁓ just the the preseason, like who who you think's gonna be in based off schedule or based off of just Sheerly being better or how how all that kind of stuff shakes out. I agree with what you guys said. When I was going through it I paused it before you guys said your answers, but I think Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: I had Texas, Ole Miss, and Georgia up there and and you guys shared similar opinions. I think those are are my guys that I'm really high on going into the season. And I like their depth all the way around. I like their veteranship of their teams. Kirby of on the Georgia side, you know, he's always there in contention. Really high in Trinidad Chamblish and in and Mr. Lacey. So I mean it'll be a good year. But I like Ryan said, I mean, then you look at Notre Dame's schedule, you look at their claws, you look at The Miamis, you look up the G fives, like you you lose spots quick. So I think when you really think about it, I mean the number, like you guys said, four is probably the sweet spot of SEC teams because should there be more because of it being pure who can compete for national championship? Sure. But will it until they change it, change rules in the bracket? No. ⁓ do I agree with it? No. Because I I do think that a lot of your national championship contending teams come from the Big Ten and the SEC. And of course you have like Miami last year in the ACC and you have some one offs every now and then sprinkled through with big recruiting cycles come through. And I'm not saying that nobody in the S A C C or the other conferences can win a national championship. Anybody can, but recency, a lot of that talent comes from those two conferences. ⁓ and then you throw in the G five spot and as hard of it is as hot of an opinion as it is, it's not basketball. I I've always said that to guys. I don't think those teams can ever make a legitimate run and go deep into the playoffs and win a national championship. So having those slots for them, I don't know. You can you can blast me for it the comment section, but I just I'm never gonna agree that I mean like a Notre Dame or a Texas wouldn't have been more competitive against an Oregon versus like a JMU or whoever else they were playing or a Tulane. So like I mean seeing like Oregon, Texas at night would have been electric. Aaron: Yeah. And I think I can see the argument if they wanted to say one, one slot. And it just is just to say, hey, they're still part of D one, we're including them. But two's a lot. Two two's extra. And RAC Chandler: To help the argument, I mean, throw a little harder of strength of schedule in there. If you guys want to compete in the two lane or the JMUs wanna wanna compete, then schedule ⁓ out of conference, Big Ten SEC, ACC, some power for school to play. And that that'll be a real gauge of where you line up. Because there is talent sprinkled everywhere. Like we talked about with UNLV. ⁓ I mean there's talent all over the place. So Aaron: Absolutely. Yeah, Boise Estate, ⁓ anywhere where they're getting in some power players from time to time where they're putting in the right people in the right spot. ⁓ because it it is something, as you mentioned with the ACC, Pac-12, w is it impossible for teams to come out of there with talent? Absolutely not. Like we saw Miami, we see this, but we do have to have conversations based off of last season to this season. I I think you can have as much historical talk in football as you want, but if your recent records aren't reflecting that, then that's where you're at. And you can build back up to historical highs. You can ⁓ surpass them. But you are where you are. And that's I think something that we can all settle in. And it's even if, you know, as SEC You know, when we can say that, like this year, I don't think the SEC's gonna look as good just because of this toughness of the schedule for all the teams. Like I think that's gonna come out and it's gonna look I I think a team escaping with one loss will be a miracle. Like that's a good schedule. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. Okay. I have three things and I'll get off my soapbox because I know Ryan has interjections too, but just for to wrap up my opinions on y'all's episode and I'll let Ryan start spieling like his like it's like the viewers want. on that note, ⁓ like you look at like Josh Allen. ⁓ he's at like what, Wyoming? Like there there's talent that can be in these different places. But I think it's funny to see the conflicting interest of At the end of the day, college football and the playoff committee and all these people, like viewership and revenue and that kind of stuff always is a driver of college sports. And for a lot of years, that's been th I mean, maybe it's not explicitly said, but the decision to put teams in has always been about numbers and viewership and ratings and the revenue. But not to say that like if JMU or a Tulane or somebody hosted like a game or even if they didn't, And they went that their fans wouldn't buy as many tickets as they could or do whatever. But you can't argue that if Texas or a Notre Dame or somebody got into the playoffs and played that Oregon game, that the viewership wouldn't have been doubled or tripled and the revenue would have been out in incredible in Eugene. Like the the amount of money that would have been in that city for that weekend would have been insane. So it's it's funny that like they want to have that all inclusive, like We're gonna have bits and pieces from every different conference and every different like G five, G six, whatever. But they also care about the revenue. And that's why they wanted to expand the playoffs to generate more money and do all these other things. So it it's funny that like they're they're they're butting heads on their little double edged sword argument, but ⁓ one of 'em's gonna give and it'll be interesting to see which one gives first. Ryan: Yeah, and I was gonna say, ⁓ how you mentioned the G five. I'm actually gonna one up you. They should not be in there at all. They're only putting them in there as a charity case kind of thing. And I'm not saying that like every G five should not have the opportunity to be in there. We shouldn't just be putting two in there for no reason. If one of them actually goes out, plays hard games, proves they're a good team, of course they should be in if they go undefeated. But the reality is the people in their conference are our easy cakewalk out of conference games. They're playing them week in, week out. They need their out of conference games to be their hard game. So it almost looks like a real season that they're playing their in conference games that are terrible and then they have a couple hard games to prove that they're really good and almost treat those as their their proving conference games. You beat this SEC team or whatever, and then they should be in there. And when you're talking about the talent pool, it is interesting. We have a lot of people come out of the SEC, but top for top, I mean, y'all have freaks in the Big Ten. You have a bunch of guys, but they're all from Ohio State. You know, I think peak for peak, we all have three to five teams. We can argue like these are the best. They're very competitive. And then when it gets down, it's like that's the issue. That depth's not not the same there. But yeah, anyone can make a run. Anyone in other conference can. But our peaks are definitely significantly higher than all the other ones. I know you don't like me using the significantly word. RAC Chandler: Yeah. Yeah. And but I mean, with the nine conference games this year, as a Big Ten fan, they should have 12 in conference games if they want ⁓ Like you guys can play and cannibalize yourself as much as you want. Because that's just gonna make your run the playoffs as an SEC guy that much harder to get there. And I don't like that they did it. I think they did it like we talked about in a couple episodes earlier. ⁓ Aaron: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ryan: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Aaron: Yeah. Absolutely. Ryan: Mm-hmm. RAC Chandler: For the reason that they were gonna expand the playoffs to sixteen teams or twenty four teams and they were gonna add that nine in there because they would have more slots to fill in the end on the backside. But since that's not changing and y'all have nine games now, I mean it's it's really gonna be cannibalism of inside the SEC where there's gonna be a million ten and two teams and then it's just gonna be whatever their metric is and however they shake out strength of schedule and all that kind of different stuff that they have that changes every single year a little bit. Ryan: Mm-hmm. RAC Chandler: That's it's just gonna be a coin flip at at some point. If there's five ten and two teams, but there's an eleven and one or a twelve and ⁓ G five slot, th it it's gonna be tough. So it I'll it'll be an interesting committee watch this year. Aaron: It it it's gonna be yes, and I think with the way things are right now, could be one of the most controversial ones we'll see just because of that. Of how much are we gonna see SEC make ⁓ ups because of getting done dirty in this, and how much of SEC burying will happen? I think it can go either way. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. Aaron: Of yeah, I think we could see a Georgia, a Texas, an LSU, an Ole Miss at a 10 and 2 across the board with two losses as the peak of the SEC with the schedules we have laid out, it's entirely possible. And if we have enough 11 and 1 teams, ⁓ what ⁓ what's gonna happen at the committee level? I think this is gonna be one that we're gonna see ⁓ And I'm sure we're gonna talk about when we get there, but I think everybody'll be talking about it when we get to the selection. RAC Chandler: Well, this could be a ⁓ a blast on our credentials here. But I'm gonna bring up a reality T V show that this reminds me of or what like 'cause usually the playoff committee shows like leading up to the final selection day are just like on, just you can follow it along, whatever. But I think every single week this year is gonna be like a reality show of like what kind of drama is gonna ensue or like what teams gonna be left out because there's so like the Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: The sole fact that there's a nine conference games in the SEC now is going to just disrupt that whole thing. It's just adding that one extra game is gonna be crazy. So it reminds me of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor when they're giving out the roses in the rose ceremony. And it's like, who's gonna be left out this sh this this week in in your show? So shout out to my wife that makes me watch that show and it's actually really good TV. So I apologize for the credentials dropping quickly. Yeah, exactly. The the rose ceremony is not gonna happen with the all the SEC teams. Aaron: Absolutely. Yeah. The SEC will not be going to the Rose Bowl. ⁓ Ryan: And it's almost to me like they are trying to push some narrative. Like all D1 football is equal. So they want a couple from here, a couple from there. Not like the S T and the Big Ten are really that good. So instead of them having eight teams that are on the ST and Big Ten, it seems like they're trying to let everyone have a little bit. And by making us play more games, it's making us seem worse than we are, so we can't have as many teams in. And it's making it almost an even circle of you're having two from here, two from there, two from there. And then you'll have three or four from a couple. RAC Chandler: I agree. Aaron: See, I would actually say it's less nefarious than that. I think, as Chandler, you mentioned, it comes down to ratings. I think when we talked about adding an extra SEC game into the schedule, that's one more game you're gonna watch. That's one more game you're tuning in for. Because if it's another, you know, week twelve or week eleven cupcake game that y you know, it's like, well, now it's two weeks till rivalry. It this week doesn't matter. Ryan: Mm. Aaron: But now people are gonna be tuning in for it. I think it was a way to add it. I'll honestly I like it. I like a a stronger schedule. I it makes it harder. It but you see more teams, you see more toughness through the schedule. And I like that. But I a hundred percent agree. RAC Chandler: Hmm. Ryan: What's your Yeah, for ⁓ sorry. Yep. RAC Chandler: Well, they should have spread it across all conferences though. If if you're gonna do it for one, you can't Yeah, that's Aaron: And that that's where it felt like I I understand Herbie's outrage. I understand a lot of the SEC outrage about this, where it was like, hey, we all did this because if we were expanding, it was a good time to do it because it wouldn't have cost us that the four slots we might have lost here, we'd make up in the bottom end. And so it completely makes sense. But I think it just comes down to money. I think it comes down to visibility and all of those things. And it just didn't work out. But Ryan: Yeah yeah. I would RAC Chandler: Of course. Aaron: We'll see. I think people are gonna be I I just think we're already in a weird space drama wise in the off season. I I think how how many channels, how long have we all been talking about Brendan Soresby like foaming at the mouth? Which listeners, we're done. Like ⁓ it's been settled, we're good, we're not gonna talk about which UFL teams aren't taking them. ⁓ we're over it. Like it it was it was a RAC Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: straightforward situation that got blown way out of proportion, shouldn't have happened. I'm glad it's been resolved. And I think we can all just move on now. RAC Chandler: And as a wise man ⁓ sorry, as a wise man once said from the Bucknutz Morning Five podcast, Dave Biddle, the good thing about sports media is you will find out. So football's right around the corner, all of this stuff will be handled, like it'll be f we'll be able to watch it unfold, all our predictions, all of our speculation, all of this drama in the postseason, it'll all be here. Like we're we're not gonna have to speculate, it'll be here. And that's what that's what I love about college football. Ryan: Yeah, and Aaron e ⁓ sorry. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, and Aaron, I thought you brought up a great point. I didn't even think about the in season revenue. I was only thinking of a postseason view, because everyone thinks of it that way. Yeah. You're bringing in w another eighteen or nine SEC, I guess, because it's half. Another nine SEC games worth of revenue during the the regular season, which I didn't even think about. I only think of postseason. So I think that's actually a great point. They get me. I'm gonna watch a big SEC game every week. Yeah, I'm gonna watch a lot of games, but they're gonna get me. They're gonna get a lot of people. But then why not do it in the playoffs too? You know, you just get even more money. Aaron: Every time. RAC Chandler: That's interesting though that you think about postseason as an Auburn fan. Why don't you focus more on the regular season? Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: I think no no, I'm saying for the revenue sake of the college football. I feel like people are too focused. So I thought it was great that he brought up their thinking about it for the in season as well. RAC Chandler: I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I love Auburn. I love Mississippi State. It's a great team in camaraderie around here that we have. Ryan: No one likes Sovereign except Tovern fans. But it's okay. RAC Chandler: I like Auburn. I'm married into an Auburn family and I I appreciate their passion and their love for Auburn athletics. So I I do I banter with them a lot, banter with both you guys, but I I do Auburn is near and dear to my heart as well. Aaron: I'll say you guys are just all right. Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: ⁓ but it's it it don't think we really dived into anything else other than a lot of like team speculation, breaking that down, talking about the postseason consequences of it. So it anything else in the episode stand out to you that ⁓ will give you that platform to help our bias. RAC Chandler: Yeah, I don't think so. I I I really enjoyed watching the episode. ⁓ and I didn't really have any negative things to say. I think yo you guys bit the nail in the head, a lot of it. I mean, as hard as it is to listen to sometimes as Big Ten fans, it it really is. I mean, until this NIL stuff keeps churning and these mid quarter teams ⁓ start, you know Pull up slack. Like if USC comes out has a great season, if Iowa comes out has a great season, if ⁓ Penn State rebounds comes back up there, like there's a lot of things that need to happen to kind of build that depth back in the Big Ten. ⁓ but I think NIO until it starts settling down, I mean, there's money everywhere. So it can definitely happen. Aaron: Yeah, and we'll have to Ryan: Yeah, I thought you would love I I'm sorry. ⁓ I thought you would actually love the episode 'cause we ended up just trashing all the SEC teams actually. I thought it was gonna be great. Let's let's talk about SEC. But they we have to hold them to a high standard. That it's like, is this team the best in the conference? Are they gonna be the Ohio State? Probably not. You know, we do that with every team. It's gonna make everyone seem bad. Everyone can't be the best team undefeated in the country every single year. So Aaron: Yeah. Well, and I think right now we are looking at a lot of really high highs up there for different teams, whether it's an Ohio State, whether it was Miami, Indiana, Georgia. There there are a lot of teams at that v upper, upper level. And as you said, Chandler, in that middle, ⁓ you know, it's kind of a crab bucket. You know, it's kind of we're all pulling each other down, and beating each other up, stealing players. RAC Chandler: Mm. Aaron: with NIL deals, all this of back and forth, that it is gonna be a settle and people will escal or they people will advance to that higher ranking. But in the meantime, it's gonna be some fun down in the mud fights this year and for the next couple of years, I think, for the mid Carters. Anything else are we good? All right. RAC Chandler: I think we're good. We're all into Ryan: That's good. Also cut this, but that made me think of the Eric Cartman. We're gonna lose. We're going down. No, we're going down. Do you know what I'm talking about? No yeah, cut that but now you think about that. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: Okay, my I had to switch to low battery mode because my computer was dying, it was only four percent, so it's it's switched back to low battery, but if I start lagging, let me know. Aaron: Yeah, that's gonna be us at Arkansas game. ⁓ nice. We'll just we'll just be conscious of it. Yeah. And I'll th th I'll basically be like, hold and then we'll wait till it comes back. ⁓ Ryan: D does it lag for him too? Or is it just ⁓ for us, it looks like he's lagging but his computer uploads it, right? Aaron: Yeah. ⁓ well, and it's just in case it does some of the yeah, if it is stuttering from the system side. So we'll make sure 'cause sometimes like if you're hearing a pop or you hear like a delay or something like that, that's something that's rendered out on the system side. But if it is something where it's like stumbling, that'll be at the processor level. So ⁓ I I'll I'll just be like hold and we're all good. ⁓ go back to it. RAC Chandler: It it'll upload lag too. Ryan: ⁓ not good. Mm okay. Aaron: But even if we did take our week and spend a little time down in the dumps with the SEC, we did want to come back in and this week talk about the things that we're really excited for, especially with our teams. And to do that, we wanted to each bring three players that we will think will have an electric season. ⁓ An electric season on our team. And walk some people that might not be Mississippi State, Ohio State. Auburn fans on here's some players to look out for. When you're watching the games with us, when you're following along, you can look at these names and you'll probably study something cool happen. So we're looking forward to it. We each got three. Who wants to kick us off here? Who wants to give us their first one? Ryan: Let's go, let's go channel. RAC Chandler: Okay. My number l one wow. My number one slot, I have Peyton Pierce. ⁓ he is a third year junior coming in. He's been behind a couple guys in a linebacker spot, Arvell, Sonny, all those guys. ⁓ but he's gotten his reps in. He played all every single game last year, all fourteen games. ⁓ last season he had forty four tackles, an interception, a fumble, and a fumble recovery. ⁓ he's six two two thirty-five. He's like a true Mike linebacker. ⁓ but he does have big shoes to feel coming behind Arvell and Sonny. So between him and Christian Allegro they got from Wisconsin, ⁓ it'll be interesting to see how that linebacker room shapes out. But James Lornaidis, the linebackers coach, is super high on him. ⁓ he won Iron Buckeye last year, so that's the hardest working people in the offseason. Between strength conditioning and leadership and all that kind of stuff. So it's a very ⁓ prestigious little award they give their players. And there's only four this year that won it. but between him and Jalen McLean, I think they'll be battling for the green dot slot ⁓ on the field. So I think he'll have a great year, great breakout year as a true linebacking starter. ⁓ but that's that's my first guy on the team I have, and I th I'm I'm very excited. Aaron: The I'm excited to see Ohio State's linebacker court. I don't know what y'all are doing to them boys up there, but not only are you they like huge, just muscled up, but they're fast. And like when we saw those combine times and everything coming from Ohio State players, I was like, there must be something going on in your strength and conditioning program. They must have that ironed out to Really focus on a lot of explosive movement, all of that, because it's it's just impressive. So Yeah. RAC Chandler: Well, Mick Marathi's got those boys dialed in in the in the weight room. But he's actually it's interesting because they've had a just a slew of six four, two forty linebackers come through and that's what Rand and they always talk about is like your prototype NFL build of like a linebacker. ⁓ and he's the shortest one they've had in a little bit, ⁓ being six two, two thirty five, and I I mean that's still pretty large human being. ⁓ but I I'm very high on him. ⁓ he's he works extremely hard. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: And it'll be it'll be good to see. I'm I'm excited to watch ⁓ play. Aaron: Yeah, it'll be I I'm interested to see if they follow up with the same level of success that they've had at the linebacker core. RAC Chandler: So right. And Matt Patricia and James Laurenidas we trust. Ryan: I think it oops sorry. Yeah, I think it's gonna be great. I love the ⁓ Matt Patricia's getting these NFL kind of build at the linebacker and defensive line position and coaching them up. I think that's kind of a great thing for those high school guys to get developed by such an NFL ⁓ knowledgeable guy like that. So I think that's great to see. It's hard you can't teach size, you know. Can't teach speed. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: It's like Will said when he was on the show, ⁓ with the Georgia Tech stuff. He's like, There's two things that that are bad, your height and your weight, and only one of those things we can fix. We can't fix your height. So it it it is it's funny that since Matt Patricia's been there, he's like handpicked these six four linebackers. Goes out, he's like, That's what I want, that's what I want, that's what I want. So And Peyton Pierce obviously was before Matt Patricia's time. Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, he's making like Yeah, he's making like a project. Yeah, yeah. RAC Chandler: But it'll be good. 'Cause I know Sincere Johnson coming in, Riley Petagon, like all those guys are six four as well. Like they're Yeah. Quentin cipher's a little smaller, but yeah. They're it'll be it'll be a good season to watch. So Ryan, who who's your who's your who's your number one guy at the old Auburn? Let's hear some good let's hear some good good energy from the from the Auburn side of the Auburn side of the ball. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: They will be great. They will be amazing. We'll probably ⁓ yeah. ⁓ sorry. All right, my number one Aaron: Some positive coverage of Auburn. Ryan: Here, here, here. I have been so negative. I'm trying to be nice this week. I'm trying to watch my words. I'm trying to watch my words. ⁓ so I would go here and say, okay, one of my favorite players this year going in is Xavier Atkins. He was a semifinalist for the Chuck Bonardi Award. Bonaric, whatever, and ⁓ that's the best Aaron: Ha ha ha ha. RAC Chandler: This week. This week. Ryan: defensive player in the country. So he was second in that last year. So we already know he's good. He's the best player on our defense. But I think I wanted to go a little more niche here. I think last year, you look at best players in our defense. He was obviously super outstanding. But another guy that was super outstanding was Jay Crawford, who we lost. He was kind of a safety corner. We also lost Kai An Lee, who was one of the best man to man corners in the whole country. We lost him as well. So I'm actually going to say that the biggest shoes I think need to be filled on defense is somewhere in that corner safety area. So I'm gonna say Champ Anthony is my guy. Champ Anthony he plays safety, corner, nickel, kinda just move him around everywhere. But the issue is he keeps getting hurt. So then for last two years he'll come in and he'll just be amazing for like a game and immediately get hurt that game. Like He was playing it was either Arkansas or Oklahoma last year and some guy was coming across the top, just rocked him and then the next play broke his leg. You know? So I think he'd be super exciting. He's supposed to be great. I'd love to see him step up, ⁓ fill those shoes, be a great person on our defense. 'Cause I'm not too worried. Our secondary is great, we have a lot of these guys, but someone needs to step up into that solidified like do not throw over here kinda kinda guy. Aaron: Okay. RAC Chandler: And I mean your first name's champ, you know. So Aaron: Yeah, I was gonna say shout outs to amazing first name. Champ champ's up there. Ryan: Hmm. Yeah, there's a lot of guys that I could have chose, but he I'm excited to see him. RAC Chandler: No, I will say, I mean, DJ Durkin, he knows what he's doing over there. I mean, he he's a great DC, he's a proven DC. He kept you guys in every single game last year, no matter who you played. So I think it's one of those situations where it's a trusting your defense until you don't anymore situation. Like benefit of the doubt is always gonna be there until it's taken away. So I think anybody that he's grooming or recruiting, and I know Champ Anthony's been there, so i to be another year under him and have development if he can stay healthy. I I agree. He's gonna be a fun one to watch. And he's so versatile. Aaron: Yeah, we'll have to see if the we'll have to see if the changes in the like strength and conditioning program, if that is going to work better with him if they're addressing those repeat injuries, things like that that will keep him healthy because it is something it that's one of the most frustrating things to see in our sport is somebody that you can just see the momentum with. You can see the skill, but they get two games and then it's like they have an injury. Ryan: Yeah, and everything I think of ⁓ yeah, sorry. Aaron: They don't make it back for that season. They back in, they get three or four the next season, injured, back out. And you're like, ⁓ it this is we're not gonna see this guy's potential and it's there. So let's get fingers crossed that we get champ. Ryan: Yep, that's literally him. He Yeah. That's literally him. He has such a high ceiling. And everything that I'm worried about is not our defense. I feel very good at Durkin and our defense. I just feel like having one or two of those guys step up when you lose a guy. And like you said, his potential is so high. I would just love to see him come out. He's gonna be exciting. I'm excited to watch him. RAC Chandler: Aaron, what you got? Ryan: Right there. ⁓ Aaron: Well we'll have to keep our eye out for champ. So I didn't go with the non-obvious choices for Mississippi State of we do have a lot of talent on the team. And I I do think that Mississippi State's gonna be so far out of the spotlight in a lot of things that I wanted to really show off our key talent. And so first and foremost is no surprise. It's Kamario Taylor. I've mentioned him multiple times. I I just think If there was stock to invest in, he it'd be where my money was going. I think he is got everything I'm looking for in a quarterback to build your team around. Like it is one of those guys that you change the playbook for because he offers what I'm looking at in his game and everything we saw from last season. He plays like he has so many more ex years of experience than he does. I mean, him just being a sophomore this year. Watching, if you go back and you watch from the highlights from the Georgia game, you see him stay in a pocket. His stopwatch of what he has time to accomplish while pressure's coming in is immaculate. ⁓ you can just see him play it. As pressure's coming in off the side, he'll plant the foot back and get the deep ball thrown. Is that gonna come back? And is he gonna get absolutely rocked a couple times this season? Sure. But seeing somebody in that freshman position, a young quarterback, be able to have that kind of confidence and stay in there, that's the same thing you'll see with him when he because he's a dual threat quarterback. His legs are Not the fastest, but he uses them so well. And I think it's because he is very He's very quick in decision making. When it's time for him to run, he doesn't do the stutter step you'll see a lot of young quarterbacks do, where they do like a start to run, go back to scanning because they didn't finish their progression and then go. It's just head down, shoulder square, start to move. And if he sees he's got the block, there was a couple times, I believe another one in the Georgia game, where he sees the secondary pull back just far enough that it opens up a lane for him. He sees Bothwell. open up in front of him and he's I've got the block I need in the secondary. This is gonna be a first down, if not a touchdown for me. Doesn't hesitate, doesn't wait for the play to develop, sees the opening and goes. And I think that's just something that you can't get you can't make that happen. You have to have that in you. So seeing that kind of level of play and such a young guy, as well as the just mechanical ⁓ advantages he's got. He can throw. He's a big guy. I mean, two thirty, six four. You know, I'm surprised he wasn't, you know, picked as a linebacker for you guys at Ohio State. He just is using every bit of that to throw deep balls and run down. RAC Chandler: And i it well, it's interesting because first year starting quarterbacks as a freshman, first snaps after high school, it I always feel like it can go one of two ways. It they can get cold feet real quick and to have a few bad plays, they can get a few pressures, get rocked from a blind side, and they get cold feet or start seeing ghosts quick. And or they can be on the flip side and the stage isn't too bright for them and they can Ryan: Well you know what they say? ⁓ Aaron: Absolutely. RAC Chandler: show why they're there and show why they were such highly sought after recruits and perform above what their class says. So I mean I think it's it's really good to see Camario and the and you can just see the talent there and you can see the decision making like you said. So it'll be fun to watch this year after a full year of his belt starting. He's he knows what to expect. He's he's been there, done that, and he's gonna have a tough schedule to go through to be able to, you know, continue those expectations. Aaron: Yeah, yeah, and that that is gonna be the heartbreak of all the suggestions and everything I'm making here is that I think given another schedule, this team has so much potential. it will be very, very difficult for them. ⁓ this will be an uphill battle every week. We've talked about it. It's brutal. But it this is the year that Camario is this guy. He is the starter. Last year he kind of ⁓ took over the position later in the season, so we didn't get to see Too much of ⁓ but what we did see was enough to be like, okay, here's our program now. Yeah. RAC Chandler: He's our guy. Ryan: Yep. And it's fun to see, you know, if everything's not clicking on your offense that you have that quarterback, I'm gonna take it on on to me. I'm the best guy on this team. I'll pick up those yards, you know. You're saying he sees that greengrass. Well green means go. So I'm I'm gonna get out there, I'm running the ball, putting the team in my Jan Sport backpack, you know. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. RAC Chandler: Exactly. Aaron: Chandler, who do we got up for round Ohio State? ⁓ RAC Chandler: My round two, I have the one of the four this year's Iron Buckeyes in Jalen McLean. ⁓ he's a six foot, two hundred pound safety. ⁓ he was with Caleb Downs last year. He has talking about big shoes to fill. Without Caleb back there, he's gotta be the guy on that top end of the secondary. ⁓ but being one of four Iron Buckeyes this year, it it shows you that he's taking those steps to be in that leadership role. ⁓ and his strength and conditioning's up, his leadership roles are up. Like he he is doing what you would want him to do off season to be able to be that guy coming in this year. So I would think between him or Peyton, one of those two would be green dots. It makes more sense to be Peyton being green dot since he's linebacker and he's kind of the middle of defense. but I could also see him getting green dot as well. ⁓ he had fifty three tackles last year, he played in every single game. He was great coming out of the box and being a run stopper. But again, with with Caleb being so versatile like he was, it was easy to kind of plug and play with him as well and bring him down, bring him down to the nickel, bring him over the top as a strong safety, which was what he did most times. ⁓ but if he can continue his leadership roles and be that solidified strong safety back there and be a real veteran guy on that top end of the defense, then the sky is the limit for him. So I'm I'm excited to see he he's been a very quiet guy and he's keeps his head down, works hard. He stayed out of the limelight because of Caleb Downs taking so much of it at the safety room. So I'm very high on him and I think he's gonna be in a in a great conversation to be in all the different defensive awards and especially the D V awards. Ryan: Really like him. It's fun watching him, you know. I know he's a little younger, but I almost think he could be like a lathe and ransom where he's kind of get pulled down sometimes. And I think it's good if you're a safety that you don't really get seen in the past game a lot because they don't want to throw at you or you don't realize they threw it to him. And in the run game, he's down there stopping a lot. He had a lot of tackles, he's real good at getting in there on screens and in the run game. He's a hard hitter, super fun to watch, good in the past game. He's just good all around. RAC Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: So I know he might not be as smart as Caleb, nobody is, but him just being right there, j you know, that's still a huge improvement. He's gonna be way better than most people's for safety, so RAC Chandler: Yeah. And he I mean he had he had fifty-three tackles coming in with all those other first round draft picks on the team, Sonny Arvell, Caleb, all those guys. Devin Sanchez in the corner slot. So ⁓ being a safety having fifty-three tackles, it was impressive to see. He was one of the leading tacklers on the team. So yeah, he's he's definitely not scared to get his nose in the plays and and blow things up. He's very good at ta at recognition of of schemes and different kind of things. So it'll it'll be it'll be fun to watch. I would definitely keep your eye on him. Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Absolutely. And I think any other program, you see a huge worry when you see somebody like Downs leave. ⁓ You're like, ⁓ well, we're not getting another one of those. Like but Ohio State has proven that not only can they develop up and bring the next man up to be as we said, comparable. Because Downs is a phenomenal talent. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. Aaron: We'll see him come through, but as as you said, fifty-three tackles in a season where you're against those superstars essentially, that's still production ⁓ being out there, filling in. And it is something I I'm excited to see, especially in that run stop. And ⁓ with the line changes, I'll be excited to see how they implement that a little bit more. RAC Chandler: Yeah, but again, like we talked about with DJ Durkin and Auburn. I mean, it's one of those situations where Matt Patricia's proven that he can do it against any team anywhere in the country with any guy. I mean, they they said the same thing the year before when Lathan and Cody Simon and all those guys left. I mean, it was the same conversation with Denzel Burke. They had a super veteran team leave and they had to replace all those guys. And that was the big key question mark. over the season and they opened up with Texas, shut him down, and then it was like, Okay, Matt Patricia, until you prove otherwise, you're good to go. So I mean they they did the same thing this year, they reloaded a ton. And until he's proven to forget how to call plays, ⁓ I think that you give him the benefit of the doubt and you just trust that he can he can talent recognize and put people where they need to be to be able to be successful. Aaron: You got it. Yeah. Absolutely. Ryan: Yeah, and I and I'm not saying a player like Caleb Downs is replaceable. When you have a guy like Matt Patricia on your team and there's such a great talent pool that you'll have, and someone's like, Okay, he was the one, who's one point one, who's just gonna decide to step up, and somebody will. And Matt Patricia's gonna put that guy in the right place at the right time on the field, and then you're gonna have you're gonna have such great talent that you can just trust that he's gonna make the play. He's in the right spot. And I think that helps a lot to have a great coach like Matt Patricia, that he's gonna put you in the correct position and set you up for success. You just gotta get it done. And I think Jalen McClain's gonna get it done. RAC Chandler: Mm-hmm. too. I'm excited to watch him. Number eighteen. He has long flowy hair. He looks great back there. He lo he looks like a like a JTT kind of hairstyle. I mean he he look he looks good. I love it. Yep. He needs the lathan armbands too, like like Late Lathan had. But yeah. Aaron: I think so too. Ryan: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Yeah. Great great swag factor. Yeah, yeah. Aaron: Ha ha. Ryan: Yeah. Dude, I really think he could be like Lathan. He he kinda resembles that a lot with me. RAC Chandler: It'll be fun. Fun to watch. All right, back over to the plane, so you got Ryan for your two slot. Ryan: Alright, alright, all It's kind of a flex position. Is this the player I am most excited to watch, or a player that I just know is going to be exciting? Okay, well Byram scares me too bad, so I'm gonna say Keyshawn Singleton. I think he is I'm excited to watch him and he's going to be exciting to watch. ⁓ it's a sad day. Cam Coleman left, you know. They almost makes me almost makes me cry a little. I thought when I got my wisdom teeth out, it was around the same time he said he was gonna go to Texas, and I thought I was gonna be yelling at all the nurses and crying about Cam Coleman leaving. RAC Chandler: Okay. Ryan: But we got Keishon Singleton. He's a close second, you know, to the best SEC and receiver in the country, so it's gonna be pretty good. When you watch Brian Brown highlights from last year, it's a lot of him throwing in a double coverage and Keyshawn Singleton going up, catching over two guys. Some of them they both fall down. He runs for like a seventy yard touchdown. He's very fast. He cuts incredibly well. Super great route runner, super physical, super big and strong. I think he's gonna be great. He's obviously like a number one target on our team. And I think that, you know, if Byron can give him the ball, he's gonna catch it every time. It's it's great. I'm really excited to watch him. Aaron: Yeah, and I think having somebody that's gonna be a strong designated target to ease Byron into SEC play. So I think that's the biggest question mark. I think ⁓ for whoever's ⁓ in the media circuit and you know, podcast circuit, talking about Byron Brown. They're either super pro, super against, and I think it's still just gonna be a huge question mark of ⁓ does he Mentally keep himself ready for SEC for that change. And as long as he doesn't shut down and he adjusts to it, because as Chandler, you're mentioning earlier, ⁓ there's normally two reactions, these things of somebody comes in thinking they're gonna be top dog, they get smacked, all of a sudden they kind of shut down, they start making crazy plays, start putting the ball in risky positions. I and I think. We have the opportunity here, if he's got a strong target in Singleton, that's something where it's like, Okay, if he's got a guy he's confident with, that can help offset any any kind of mental hurdle that might come from this change. Ryan: Yeah, and even more than that, ⁓ so Byram played in a lot of big stadiums. He's playing Bryant Denny Stadium, he's played in the swamp, he's played against Miami at Miami, he's played in a lot of these big stadiums and stuff, so he shouldn't really have mental issues. So it kind of is a physical kind of is he just physically good enough to get him done? I think the mental game's there. But he came out with Keyshawn Singleton and it was the whole thing day one, they walked in, they know the system. They're clicking, they're both out there and just know each other so well, know how to throw the ball, know the perfect timing. So I think bringing that over, you know, they talked about he tried so hard to get the system over from USF. And one of those guys that I'm Keyshawn Singleton is the guy that I'm not worried about, even though he's playing less for competition sometimes and he was in the American Athletic Conference, that he is truly like that good. Where B Byrum is the one that's like scaring me a little. But I think he's almost solidified himself. Like Keyshawn Singleton is that guy. Like he's good. He's gonna be successful. Aaron: Yeah, I'm excited to see because I I do think y'all are gonna have such a strong like opening four games. Like I think that's gonna be as long as that stretch right after that. If y'all keep your head there, it's gonna be an exciting year. Ryan: This is gonna be a crazy take. ⁓ I know it's a very casual take to say, okay, the quarterback, it's all the quarterback's fault if the offense is not clicking. But I've told you, DJ Durkin is he's knows what he's doing. We have a ton of returning talent on our defense. Our defense is going to be fine. But on our offense, the only person that's scaring me is Byron Brown. Our entire season is going to be. Whether Byron Brown does good or not, if he can get our star players the ball, Jeremiah Cobb can run the ball great. If he can get our receivers the ball, and he's gonna be able to run himself as well, then we are going to be successful. He is the difference between us having a five and seven and a ten and two season. I know that is crazy to say. It'll probably be somewhere in the lower middle, seven, eight games, because like my dad always says, Alcum's razor, the most obvious thing is gonna happen. But if Byron actually comes out, it does amazing and gets you guys a ball. We could win ten games, but I'm scared that's not gonna happen. So we'll see. RAC Chandler: And again, we'll f we'll figure out. We'll we'll see the results happen. Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Well fine. Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, we'll see. We'll see. We a couple weeks in we'll probably know if he's that guy or not. We'll see. RAC Chandler: I mean, y you'll know you'll see the flashes week one. Ryan: I hope so. Abs we could tell what's his face couldn't throw last year, so alright. We'll know. Don't want to say who. RAC Chandler: You got Aaron? Aaron: I'm gonna stick on the offensive side of the ball for my second pick. And I'm gonna go with Mario's backup here with Bluff Bothwell. I think at the running back position, we got to see him play multiple games last year, all very good. I think he has every component necessary to be a top producing running back in the SEC. I think he will be somebody that's leading those charts. ⁓ he's 230, 510 heading into his junior year. what I see out of him as running back, I think a lot of people might be watching tape. And if it wasn't for Scataboo, I think kind of resetting some of our mental there's nothing wrong with a fall forward, shoulders down guy, we've kind of gone away from that. ⁓ over across the board. Not wholly, but We a lot of fancy footwork running backs that we've had, and they've been fantastic. Fluff Bothwell is to me a shoulders-down fall forward guy. He not the fanciest, nothing incredible in terms of what is unique and dynamic. It's just pure mindset, I think, that sets him apart. Of he's not afraid of the contact. He's gonna go in. ⁓ there were multiple times last season that he's going up against, you know, ⁓ just strong defenses, sh just shoulder charging, just full speed. But I think the thing that really impresses me is his willingness to go downfield on plays and block. And as a running back, that's such a key skill. You don't have a flexible quarterback who's dual threat. be successful if he doesn't get blocks downfield. And there were multiple Camario plays last year that he saw Fluff go into the secondary, hit the guy he needed to hit, and that opened a lane. And so even when he's not the hero with the ball, he's making the play happen. Ryan: You gotta love a gritty, hard nose running back like that. They they always have a little bit of a screw loose. They're a little crazy, but it you just gotta inflict fear on that defense. Pound them down, you know, over and over. And that kind of is a similar scat build. I love him. He's like five nine, two thirty, so it's a very similar build. And I've I've loved watching him, especially on the Giants. I'm not even a Giants fan, and I just watch games to see Scat and Jackson Dart. So I think that's great for you. I bet he's great in pass pro too, if he's getting these blocks down the field. Aaron: ⁓ absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. ⁓ and going for huge edge guys coming in full steam, watching them just go make a block. And when you see that, it's like, okay, we have a chance to let a young quarterback thrive because of that assistance. And there are multiple times when you're watching those game highlights from last year, you'll watch that defense, that secondary coming in to stop the run. They stop hitting center, they start sliding to the left or right. Ryan: That's a wonderful thing. That's a Mm-hmm. Aaron: And those tackles get broken. And I think that just comes down to you hit them hard enough on your carries that they just kind of start saying, it's not worth it to me. Whether it's conscious or unconscious, they start getting out of the way a little bit. And then that opens up lanes for you. Ryan: Break ⁓ down physically and mentally. Aaron: Yeah. So Chandler, take us into the third and final round here we got. RAC Chandler: This will my first offensive player. ⁓ and I know like going into it, it's it's embarrassment of riches. I mean you can talk about a lot a lot of people all over the field, the Jeremiah Smith, the Chris Henries, the Legend Beys, all those guys. So I wanted to bring a guy that's been there for all four years and just been a workhorse in the backfield. He hasn't transferred, he hasn't given up or thrown his towel in, it's Brandon Dennis. I think Brandon Dennis, he Has had five he had 534 all-purpose yards last year. He's a six foot, 200 pound receiver. He was a five-star recruit that Brian Hartline was super high on when he recruited him out of South Florida. He's just always been in that 3-4 receiver role. that he's never had his time to be a one or a two. He's been behind Carnell and Omeka and JJ and all these guys that have been first round NFL picks. ⁓ and I think this year he's still gonna be behind JJ, but I think He said in his interviews when they had media days that he wants to solidify himself being a first round draft pick and he believes he can do that. I mean he was highly sought after out of high school. ⁓ but he's gonna have to really up his production and solidify himself as that two receiver slot, that wide receiver two spot, ⁓ and just have a great year. And I fully am capable in b in believing that he could do that. ⁓ he has lot to prove. He's always been a sh for sure guy, but again his numbers have always been in that wide receiver three, wide receiver four spot. So I'm high on him. I've always liked him. He's a good guy off the field. All the coaches and players like him. So I think he'll solidify himself as a wide receiver too spot. Ryan: I love Brandonis, man. It it's hard to see guys nowadays that are bred and developed in these systems. And you know, he's been there all the years. He's waited his turn. He's been developed. And I like it. It's kinda like the old days, you know. He's just very loyal to your program. And he kind of just does everything. He's a gadget guy. He'll run the screen, run the jet sweep. He'll run any route and he's very sure hands. He'll catch the ball. He'll return your punts for you. He'll do anything you need him to. And he gets it done. There's never a problem that you're like, I don't Brandon Innis in the field. It's just what what could we have Brandon Ennis do? And you let him do it. And it's wonderful to see. And I think he will step up a little bit. We even see like Carnell, we didn't expect him to be as good as he was last year. We expect him to be really good, of course, but his production was even low. So I Brandon Innis being able to step up in that role. I think he'll be great. RAC Chandler: Yeah. Yeah, I mean you had his sophomore year, he was the the national championship year. I mean, he was going through Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, Mekek Buka. And he was a four slot. And they of course had tight ends they were throw to as well. They a heavy Chep Kelly loved using his tight ends. And then last year you have the Carnell and the JJ and Brian Hartline was at a lot of heavy tight end sets as well. So he slipped into the wide receiver three, wide receiver four four slot. And of course I mean, there's a ton of mouth to feed. So the you y you gotta you can't always get the ball. So this year I really think that besides JJ, he will be fully capable of solidifying himself with that wide receiver two spot, that slot receiver that he can go outside if you need him to. He can of course, like Teal said, the gadget guys that can he can do the jet sweeps, he can do the screens, he can do the wide receiver dumps, he can do all that kind of stuff. And he's even a quarterback in high school and did a trick play on a punt where he threw the ball across the field and they like almost scored a touchdown on it. So he's he's he could do all kinds of different stuff. But I'm I'm excited to see him have a full year of hopefully being that wide receiver two role. ⁓ because I mean he's he's hard not to like when you listen to him outside of football. Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Ryan: Yeah, he's really nice. And and he's obviously like if he goes to any other school, like he'd be the guy. He's just sat back, he's waited his turn. But yeah, he's also a great receiver. He's not just a gadget guy. He's not like ⁓ Ryan Wingo. You know, he can actually go downfield and catch the ball. He can run some great routes. RAC Chandler: Exactly. Yep. So he's a he's a he's a good guy to to ⁓ keep on the back burner if you're watching Ohio State. Aaron: ⁓ absolutely. And if there's a program that knows how to use a Swiss Army knife like him, where it's like, you know, if they need a block downfield, they'll send him down to do a block and he'll make the block. It's it's just one of those things that it's invaluable to have a team player like that. Like not somebody chasing the numbers, but somebody that wants to win the game for the team. So no matter what the stats say at the end of the season, it's a guy you root for. Ryan: Okay. You know, Aaron, I don't think you could have given a better description for an NS. He's just such a likable guy. He is exactly what you said. Swiss Army knife, wants to be there, does anything he can. It's great. RAC Chandler: Yeah. And I guess I'll I'll throw out my honorable mention now because it p it pairs so well with Brandon Minnes. I ⁓ when I was talking to Ryan at the gym about this, I didn't know who to put in this slot, but it felt right to put Brandon Innis in that third slot of who I'm excited to watch. But this guy transfer in from UTSA, Devin McEwen, he's a fourth year senior. He has a ton of reps, he has seventeen hundred all purpose yards, sixteen touchdowns. He is extremely fast. He's a guy that has four three seven blocked official times and forties. He runs a ten to eight hundred meter. Like he's he's incredibly fast. ⁓ so having him on the roster as another sure handed route running smooth receiver that super quick at in and out of his breaks, for sure hands. He's he's proven that he can play outside. He's proven he can play slot. And with that fourth year experience, I mean he's he's been around the block. Of course it's a U T S A, so he hasn't had extreme talent that he's been going against, but you can s you can see the intangibles are there. So I think having him as a senior guy on that wide receiving core when you lost so many people, that would be my other guy that could be battling for that wide receiver two or three spot, in my opinion. ⁓ but I hope I hope Brandon Ennis wins it. But yeah, this the speed on the field Aaron: Yeah. And I mean, having that kind of speed, i it's I mean, i if you've got a secondary that's being a menace and it's coming down, it's like that's the guy you throw in there and you just run a go route and you just take him over the top. The ball might not be going there, but it's keeping those safeties back. And ⁓ that's something where it's like just having that, yeah, I could see them rotating pretty heavily just to just to keep the threat there. RAC Chandler: Of course. Yep. And ⁓ like guys like Legend Bay, he's gonna be a freshman this year, and I didn't put him on the list because I think he's he's gonna be in a little bit, but I don't think he's gonna play a ton a ton of me of meaningful staps snaps like these guys will. ⁓ but he's another guy. He's a four three forty, ten two hundred meter, like he's also extremely quick. So you have all kinds of speed coming onto this team this year that they usually don't have. ⁓ like a Paris Campbell esque type gadget guy that they're gonna have on this team. ⁓ Aaron: Just crazy. Crazy athlete. Yeah. RAC Chandler: So the middle of the field in that run after catch, not run after cast, ⁓ that has been a huge emphasis on ⁓ Cortez Hankton, the new wide receiver coach. He's been studying the film from the past couple of years and he really wants to improve on that run after catch ability ⁓ from the receivers because of course everybody has for sure hands and is great at route running, but the run after catch has been lacking in that middle of the field play, the quick ten, fifteen yard Aaron: Ha ha. RAC Chandler: plants and outs or ins. I mean that's that's where he wants the real difference making to be and where that he wants those speed guys to live. So it'll be it'll be interesting to see how these guys get plugged in with th this much speed because it's one of those things where s speed will always win. If in those kind of situations where like you can't teach that kind of stuff. I mean that's just raw speed. So if you can get the matchups that you want, it'll be fun to watch. Ryan: Yeah, and I I like Legend Bay. And it's weird because, you know, he was a quarterback out of high school, and they're just like he's an athlete, you know, put him anywhere on the field, what can we do? And I was a little worried that they were talking about having him a running back, and obviously he's probably not gonna play over Isaiah West and Bo Jackson because they're so good. But I was almost worried he was a little small. But I was seeing pictures recently. He looks huge. He looks like he's like maybe two ⁓ five now. He's maybe one eighty, one eighty five coming out of high school. He's looking big. He might be able to play some running back, you know. He's gonna play receiver, obviously. But I was like, you're saying Devin McEwen. People are always talking about how you can't really see stuff in spring game, but he was noticing out to me. I I watched the spring game by myself, not with Chandler, because I was driving up to A Day to watch ours. But I was even telling Chandler I knew he was coming, but on the field, I was like, Who is that? He looks great. He was fast, he was catching tough balls, people ride on him, you know, and he like, ⁓ yeah, that's Devin McEwen. And I was No way, the U TSA guy. He's like, Yeah. You know, so you can't always put those G five guys down. He's obviously really talented. He looked wonderful. So I I'd love to see him step up as well. RAC Chandler: course and I that's one of those things where you Cortez Hank hankton recruiting him out of UTSA come over and play. It's gonna be a real show of what his talent rec talent recognition looks like and how for sure this guy's gonna be as a replacement to Brian Hartline. Because that is like that's a very diamond in a rough kind of situation that it could turn out to be. but it's like we said that talent can be spread all over the country. There's your one offs everywhere. ⁓ but Aaron: ⁓ yeah. RAC Chandler: He he has the tools and intangibles that you can't teach to be able to come in and and play some meaningful snaps and and be that solidified two or three receiver. So I'm yeah, I'm I'm super stoked to have that some that kind of speed on the field because that that's gonna only open up the JJs and the Chris Henry Juniors and all that kind of stuff in other situations because y y you can't just have a press man coverage corner on that guy or he's gonna get torched. So Aaron: No, it well, and it's you have a quarterback and throw the ball. Like it that's the thing is you can utilize that speed if the s you know, sixty, seventy yard route opens up where he just goes and goes. So ⁓ that that's the twofer that I think makes it such a ⁓ such a threat. And you know, it's so hard for you guys to have so much talent out there. You know, you just have to pick a card, any card to get somebody. But I do want to throw out between legend and champ. RAC Chandler: Exactly. Yep. It is tough. Aaron: Whose first name are we taking as the top tier recruit there? RAC Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: Huh, how about you? Ryan: I don't know, ⁓ I've met legends before, but I've never met a champ. So I'm gonna go with champ. I'm more of a I'm more of a Scat Peg Johnson guy. You know, one of our buddies was over at the house today and he was saying he might name his kid Scatpack Johnson. Like that's a wonderful name. That's an NFO running back. That's an NFO running back. Aaron: You're going champ. RAC Chandler: Would you would you rather be called legend or champ? Ha ha ha. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: That's a really good name. Yeah, he's gonna be running back for sure. Aaron: Yeah. That's a running back. Yeah. I I'll I'll break our little stand still here. I'm going with legend. I like legend as a name. That's a great you know, you throw that out there. That's like N I L money right there. You just just go with a pitch. Yeah. RAC Chandler: I it's the same thing with with Bo Jackson. I mean, his his nickname's Bo Jackson, but his real name's Lamar Jackson. So I mean pick your poison of NFL athletes. I mean they're he was destined to be great. So I mean it's it it's it's good. Aaron: Yeah. Yep. Yep. Ryan: Okay. I'll say legend's cool, but it's very hit or miss. Like it's very easy to be like a bad legend, but if your name's legend, you're really good. It's like super cool, you know, holy aura. RAC Chandler: I will say, I mean, right when the jerseys release in August, ⁓ a white Legend Bay jersey is on the way quickly. So I've I've already I've already ⁓ invested in in what will be the that jersey. So it's already stamped for me. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Yeah, he's so tough. He's so t isn't like Lamar Juxt's cousin too? Is that true? Isn't that a I thought you I thought you told me that. RAC Chandler: Maybe? I don't know. I could have. Aaron: We'll find out in editing. ⁓ Ryan: Runs like it. Dude, he's fast. RAC Chandler: I know J J is Geno Smith's nephew. Right? Is that right? Ryan: Yep. Yep. Yep. All right. RAC Chandler: Yeah, there's a there's a lot of NFL ties all over the field. Ryan: Did you see the Geno Smith stuff recently? We won't elaborate. RAC Chandler: Nope. Over to you, Riot, for what your third player is. Ryan: ⁓ Mine you know, mine's kind of Alex Golish would be great. I'm excited to watch him too, but that is not my three because he he's not a player because he's older than twenty-three and five for five it does not allow you to do that anymore. So I'm gonna have another two here, how you were talking about ⁓ Brandon Innness and Devin McEwen. I'm going to go Deshaun Spencer slash Sam Turner. Astericht asterisk. The first asterisk. ⁓ Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: I don't think Alex Golish will play them. I know we were talking about Zach Blackerby a lot. ⁓ and I'll try to be nice here today. I wasn't being too nice, but Alex Gulish has this idea that him and his guys really are that good. So he kind of brought his offensive system over and he wanted to say my day one guys or my guys will know it, day one coming over. So the only offensive player really. Are a couple of the linemen and Jeremiah Cobb, our running back from last year, who are not like the day one starters. The whole receiving core and Byron Brown are all from USF. So Chaz Namrod, Jeremiah Coger, and ⁓ He Sean Singleton. But Deshaun Spencer is looks amazing. He is a freshman, but he went to the same school as Ryan Williams. He beat Ryan Williams record for the most receiving yards in Alabama, the Alabama state record for most receiving yards. And Sam Turner's a guy that they were talking about the last couple years. Super good. You know, he was hurt. We didn't even get to see him in the spring game. You know, but he's supposed to be really good. And ha my Blackerby thing I was bringing up. I saw a podcast the other day that him and the guy that goes on with him were talking about why aren't we seeing anything about Sam Turner? Because he really is supposed to be really, really good. But I think it's an issue that Alex Golish isn't going to believe in him or let him play because people like Keyshawn Singleton and Chaz Nimrod. I more think it is a Chaz Nimrod thing because I don't want to hate on Chaz Nimrod, but not really that great. A lot of people from last year are saying that he really struggles with catching the ball and he's has a lot of things. He drops open passes, he's not the best at tracking the football. So I think he could still be good, but it's hard, you know, and you can fix stuff. I know that. You can improve. But it's hard when you have two really good guys, like Deshaun Spencer did great in the spring game, he's great at a high school, he's literally supposed to be Ryan Williams. And the first year Ryan Williams. And then you have Sam Turner's supposed to be really good. But then you have a guy who's only known for these really big issues, you know, that if Byron Brown can get you the ball, you can't drop it. But he's really fast. So I would like to see either of them play. And if they play and Alex Golish lets them play, I think our offense is going to be amazing. You know, we have all these great receivers. If Byron Byron Brown's probably gonna get them the ball and he's gonna give them more wiggle room where he kind of just gets it near them. They will catch it. They are fast, they are big. Deshaun Spencer's not as big, but he's very good. So I'm excited to see it. Also, that brought up a thing. Sam Turner was hurt. our tight end Eccles also was hurt. Very excited to see him. I love tight ends. ⁓ I think Alex Golish runs a lot of heavier run sets, a lot of 12 personnel, a lot of things with tight ends. So he's gonna sneak out there. And I think he's a little sneaky one that I love tight ends that he's a big fast tight end. I was told Chandler if I ran a little league team and I'm taking my biggest fastest kid and I'm lining up at a tight end, I'm throwing 150 yards to him, just like I do in NCAA. So I think that if he does that, ⁓ that we'll be we'll be really good. If he lets those guys in, Byram can get them with the ball. That's the other asterisk. That I'd love to see it. I'm very excited to see them and I will be more excited if he puts them in. Aaron: I can't wait till we watch what the offered season game and Tim Turner goes in and just watching you explode. Like watching you just start just screaming that he's going in. He's letting him play. And that'll be very exciting for me. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I think the shot ⁓ sorry. RAC Chandler: mean, at the end of the day, you would like to think, and I think it's true, 99.76%. I think every single coach will play their best players, or who they think are the best players to get them to win the game. Because at the end of the day, it's a win or it's a loss. And every coach wants to have the win more than the loss. So I think. them playing the best players is always gonna happen. But I in the world we live in with NIL and expectations being through the roof and the leashes being really, really short on these head coaches that if he's really comfortable with these guys and starting a freshman over them never usually happens anywhere in the country, with all of course your exceptions. He's already been with them, he knows they can they can produce. So I think it'll be a situation of like, hey, we're gonna have these guys start when we have blowout situations or when we have garbage time stuff, we put these guys in, if they start really producing, then yeah, we'll they'll be rotational pieces. But you would like to think that he's always gonna play the best people in order to win. Ryan: That's what I was thinking. And that's why I put them both there. Because I think Sam Turner is actually good enough to walk in and play. Even if Deshaun Spencer's a freshman, I'm excited to see him s play in the future. But to have a guy like Sam Turner and them not even say anything about him at all. It's like what's happening with him. It almost seems like they're trying to hide how good they are. And I'm just a little worried that Alex Golish might be a little too overconfident in his South Florida guys. I'm not really sure. I hope we see them do great. But it almost seems like they're trying to hide these gyms so we don't see them. Or ask him while why they're not in, kinda thing. RAC Chandler: be interesting to bring up next week we have ⁓ as a little pre we have the E two C Auburn ⁓ network coming on our show to kind of go through more in depth of what we think the Auburn season's gonna be expectation wise, learn a little bit about that network and how they got involved with Auburn. ⁓ but that'll be interesting to bring up to him because I know they're really plugged into the Auburn community and the Auburn athletics. So it'll be interesting to see like what his opinion on is on those two guys as well. ⁓ Aaron: ⁓ yeah. RAC Chandler: So be sure, yeah, we'll we'll be sure to bring that up as well. I think it will be. It it's hard to hide talent. W tape doesn't lie. Aaron: Ha ha. Yeah. Yeah. And as you were saying, Chandler, you don't bury talent either. You may go in thinking you have talent one place, but you'll find where it is always. RAC Chandler: No. We'll always will always shine. So close us out, Aaron. What you got for your three slot? Aaron: So I am moving to the other side of the ball. We're going defensive, which anybody that's a Mississippi State fan that has been watching for the last couple of years, it's what we've needed to improve on. This season does not exist with the defense schemes that we had last year or the year before. One of our core pieces that I want to highlight is Kelly Jones. Anyone that's listened to anything about Mississippi State has probably heard the name Kelly Jones at this point. This is somebody that I think has potential to be a first round draft pick ⁓ by the end of the season. If you watch his tape, there is some incredible tells for a corner here. He's a six four, two hundred pound corner. So ⁓ a big corner who can keep up with the fastest ones out there. There is one specific play that I think shows you everything you need to know about him. RAC Chandler: ⁓ yeah. Aaron: It was during the Texas game. He's lined up on the outside with Wingo. He sets up. It's nothing special. It's a go-go route down the sidelines, you know, probably 20, 30 yards run. And just from the kickoff, you watch him take a solid first false step, gets the momentum backwards. When, and I think the thing that's the biggest tell for me is when you watch him anytime he kicks off. And he starts the kick slide, he doesn't cross his feet. Even if he's doing a two, three, just waiting for the the hips to make the decision on the receiver. He doesn't cross. He keeps that momentum. For somebody his size, he can keep that footwork moving. And when he flips his hips to keep up, he maintains speed. So on a flat route, he's keeping up, where then that size leverages. You watch him on that one play, he doesn't make contact for 20 yards down the field. And you could even argue maybe he should, but he is still with him to the point where he's shoulder to shoulder. So when that 30, 40 yard ball's coming down, all he has to do is just squat it down. And there's no risk, no trouble, there's no desperation there. And for somebody who's going into a red shirt junior year. That is high level play to me. And when you watch him, you can watch the Texas AM game from last year where he's making multiple picks. There's one that I think really stands out where he is on the outside of the receiver who's doing a crossover the middle, and the ball is thrown to the receiver side wide. And he is able to go grab the ball with his eyes forward, keeping up with the receiver by going behind the receiver instead of cutting under the route, he goes. Behind him, pivots, gets the ball, has runway, gets down with it, and it's safe. And it's just something where it's like your head has to be on a swivel to see that. And it's so his eyes are tracking, he knows where that ball is coming in. He's turning his shoulders when he needs to, flips his hips, maintaining speed. You just can't ask for more out of your corner, not to mention while he's being six, four, two hundred pounds. So he's able to tackle. He's able to stop outside run plays that he needs to stop. It's just something where he's got everything. And I think you put him with Arnett in the scheme. We're gonna see some incredible plays out of this guy. RAC Chandler: That's good because six four corners are I mean there's not very many humans on the planet that are six four two hundred pounds that are capable of being on an island playing a corner at the D one collegiate football level. They just don't exist. Those those bodies don't don't exist. So seeing that kind of guy have that kind of length, have that kind of speed, have that kind of footwork, being able to flip his hips when he needs to, being able to stay outside inside leverage, whatever he needs to do to be able to keep Aaron: Absolutely. Yeah. RAC Chandler: quarterbacks and wanting to throw his way is great. But then you get in the in the sense of he has speed as well. So when you can keep up with these guys on one on one island go balls, even if you're a step or two back, your length takes up the rest of that. Like your wingspan and your being six four, that makes up the rest. So he has a lot more cushion than most corners have. And that's I mean a defensive coordinator's dream or a cornerback's coach dream. Because if you have that kind of height, that kind of speed Aaron: Absolutely. RAC Chandler: that kind of intangibles. I mean, it's you can teach the rest. Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. You can put ⁓ wherever you want ⁓ at that point. RAC Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, Channel almost took the words in our mouth. I have told Chandler so many times my infatuation with six foot four corners and safeties. I love it. I don't know why. But especially with his speed, there is just so much forgiveness that you can't really get beat over top. If you're near him, he's not gonna moss you. You have so much extra length. If you're night not quite there, you have so much extra forgiveness. And you're bigger than all the receivers, they can't block you. It is so, so good. And for some reason, all of them are at Washington. There's not very more six foot four corners, so I'm glad that you have one. And that's gonna be a great guy to watch. Aaron: Ha ha. Yeah, it it's gonna be something that I think it's very exciting. I think if you want to see high level corner play, we're gonna see it. And it's what we needed so desperately to pair it. And he was there. I mean, we get to see a lot of highlights from him. But I think with Arnette coming in, with some of the talent they brought in, ⁓ w not my official honorable mention for it, but it it's something where we did bring in a four star linebacker and Tyler Lockhart this year. Very excited to see. what he's gonna bring to it, bring in some strength into that secondary, give Kelly something to work off of there. So I I Zach Arnett coming back is a dream for us where we're at right now. And I'm so excited to see what he brings to the defensive side of the ball. And to have a piece like this just ready is incredible. But to give my honorable mention, I am throwing out our kicker, Kyle Ferri out here, because Chandler, you know better than anyone. You got a kicker who's making kicks and he's he's getting points on the board for you, don't take them for granted. Kyle Ferry has done that for us when we have had chances and high pressure moments for us. And those big games that we were keeping up and showing promise, he was still landing kicks. He was getting points up there, and that's all we can ask. And for years we had trouble with a kicker and trying to get somebody in that slot that was consistent. So this is just me, you know, offering ⁓ just gratitude and you know, all praise that can go out there for any kind of ⁓ We could say karmic payout here that he stays here, he stays healthy, he keeps making the kicks because we don't want anything more from him. RAC Chandler: Gotta love kickers. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: Hm. Yeah, and Evan McPherson for us, you know, is apparently healthy this year. That's great to see. He went through a lot of health problems. That Missouri game never happened, you know. I'm excited to see him play this year. Well does that wrap us up? Aaron: Yeah, that takes us through a bunch of players to look out for and I'm excited. I do think ⁓ couple of names I didn't think you guys would throw out there. So I appreciate you guys went deep in there and now I'm gonna have to ⁓ keep an eye out. Like I said, wait till wait till we see some of these guys take the field. Which, you know, fortunately, only a few more weeks. Yeah, it ⁓ it feels like we're still deep in the off season, but we're heading in. RAC Chandler: Think so. Right around the corner. Ryan: Should we do a fourth of July ⁓ thing? Talk about fourth July? Aaron: Yeah. I mean, ⁓ it will be out on what the sixth of July. So ⁓ I hope everybody had a great weekend. hope everybody had fun. ⁓ did you guys do anything special or insane to celebrate Fourth of July? RAC Chandler: Sixth of July? Happy Sixth of July. Ryan: ⁓ I haven't done it yet. We're doing it tomorrow. But if anyone's watching this on Monday, ⁓ we all hope you had a great fourth of July. You know, it's a wonderful country that we get to live here free for two hundred and fifty years in a row now. I know we weren't here for all of that. But I hope no one blew their hand off the fireworks and that people got to have fun seeing them and maybe go on a boat and eat a hot dog or something. RAC Chandler: Let's let's double back here. What are you doing tomorrow that you haven't done yet? The viewers are gonna wanna know. Ryan: Tomorrow. I haven't done tomorrow yet. I am probably I don't know, what are we doing? Glim Fireworks. RAC Chandler: You just you just said you're doing something tomorrow that you haven't done yet. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, I haven't done tomorrow yet. I haven't done it. 'Cause guys we're it's the third right now. RAC Chandler: What? Okay. I I misunder I misunderstood what you were saying. Aaron: Yes. Yeah. I I do want to let everybody know that prior to this recording, they did come up with the idea of the two fifty for two fifty squat challenge. I was luckily not at the gym today, but what was it? Two hundred and fifty pounds for two hundred and fifty reps? RAC Chandler: Yeah. Right right yep, we did two hundred and fifty pound back squats for two hundred and fifty reps. Started off hot. It was like it was like fifteen we did like sets of fifteen for the first couple and then I was like, like it's gonna catch up quick. So then we dropped it down to like five to eight for the rest of the way. But yeah, we took us about two and a half hours and we did all two hundred and fifty reps below parallel. Ryan: Chandler ⁓ sorry. RAC Chandler: I don't wanna hear no comments in the section saying we didn't hit depth. Depth was hit, low bar squat was hit, you know we're good. Hit it. Two fifty complete. Ryan: There's videos to prove it for us and our children in the future. 'Cause we're gonna look back one day and say, You know what I did back in my day? Two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, two hundred and fifty for two fifty you know. RAC Chandler: Exactly. Exactly. Exactly, exactly. So I know Spence is gonna watch this so he'll he'll appreciate the ⁓ tomfoolery we pulled to ⁓ that that he would he this is a c idea that he would come up with. So Aaron: ⁓ yeah. Yeah, that's definitely this is an idea I could see have easily have succumbed to peer pressure and participated in, much to my body's rejection and probable death. But it does seem like you guys almost had fun. The first hundred probably were fun. Then after that, I'm sure it was quite miserable. So ⁓ yeah. Yeah. RAC Chandler: about two and a half hours. Yeah, it wasn't wasn't good. By by like 75 ish left. I was telling I told Ryan, I was like, this probably mentally is the hardest thing I've done in a long time. And like I could feel like my heartbeat in my legs. Like I was like, this is not like it it it hurt like just as bad like going down into the squat than coming out of it. Like it was like this shouldn't be happening being like this hard, like on the decent. So it was ⁓ it was good. I mean it it took us took us a while, but got through it. Aaron: I stayed home, thought of Ryan and watched the World Cup. So I knew he would he wished he could do it. I knew I was like you'd be right here watching soccer with me. But yeah. Ryan: Who thought of me? ⁓ RAC Chandler: If only yeah, you weren't squatting. Ryan: ⁓ I might would do the two fifty plus. ⁓ I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Never. Never again. Never. Aaron: No. ⁓ RAC Chandler: No, USA is on a tear though. USA is on a tear, so you know sh shout out shout out them them going the distance. They're they're what three or four and ⁓ now. I mean Happy birthday, America. We're t we're going on a tear. Ryan: I do like that. Aaron: Yep. Let's Ryan: I don't know, but go America. Yup. Aaron: Yeah. RAC Chandler: So it's good. And next week, ⁓ Aaron: But okay, I I was going straight into it, so ⁓ RAC Chandler: Well, ⁓ well next week w we ⁓ we have the like we said earlier on the show, we have the E two C podcast network coming on. We're gonna talk about how they got into the the network the industry of media in Auburn Athletics and we're gonna talk about your expectations, what we have, what he has, ⁓ for the upcoming season and we'll kinda throw around some of the questions that we talked about like with Ryan's five star freshman and who players he thinks should be spotlighted more than they are, or some that are too spotlighted. And we'll kinda go through and ask some questions. It'll be fun for Aaron and I because we have no no dogs in the fight. We can just ask questions as we see ⁓ But it'll be good. So Exactly, exactly. Aaron: Yeah, we we can usher them back to their corners. We can, you know, eat popcorn as ⁓ the events unfold. But if any of you out there listening have any questions, if you have any Auburn specific, we're probably not gonna see two better equipped people able to answer them ⁓ anytime soon. So send them over, leave them in a comment, send them in an email, follow all the stuff in the link tree. You already know how to do it by this point, but for all those of you that have. Thank you.
