Transcript
- Gary: Today, we're talking about greed through Leviticus chapter 19, verse 9 and 10. God instructs his people not to harvest their fields right up to the edges or gather every leftover piece. he also tells them not to strip their vineyards bare. or collect the fallen grapes. They are to leave those things for the poor and the foreigner. Think about that. The landowner has work, the harvest has value, yet God places a responsibility on how that harvest is gathered. Other people's needs are supposed to matter in the way his people handle their abundance. That challenges a belief we rarely question. If I can take it, I should Every dollar, every advantage, every fucking opportunity to squeeze a little more out of somebody. But having the power to take more doesn't settle whether taking more is right.
