- 0:01Speaker 2: Now back to the Monk Simone Show on WR.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Well, the great columnist Miranda Divine. You should read her
- 0:09Speaker 1: column in The New York Post. Also get her best
- 0:11Speaker 1: selling books. The latest one is The Big Guy. There's
- 0:13Speaker 1: no better book on Joe Biden Hunter Biden. You love it,
- 0:18Speaker 1: big best seller, The Big Guy. And make sure you
- 0:20Speaker 1: listen to a podcast. It's become one of the top
- 0:22Speaker 1: podcasts in the world. It's called pod Force one all
- 0:26Speaker 1: sorts of great guests, including Donald Trump. You can listen
- 0:29Speaker 1: to that wherever you get your podcasts. And she's with
- 0:31Speaker 1: us now, Miranda Divine, how you doing.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Hi, Mark, I'm doing really well. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yes, I missed our Thanksgiving dinner, but I assume, let
- 0:42Speaker 1: me guess you had turkeys. Look at that. I'm like
- 0:48Speaker 1: esp so hey, your column today quite a column about
- 0:52Speaker 1: Cash Patel. I mean, he's a nice guy. I like him,
- 0:55Speaker 1: but he's obviously not Jack Welch when it comes to
- 0:58Speaker 1: running an organization.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Well, look, this is kind of that unfortunate medicine that
- 1:07Speaker 2: sometimes has to be doled out to friends. And this
- 1:11Speaker 2: is from friends, really on people who wanted Cash Battel
- 1:16Speaker 2: to succeed these seasoned FBI people, insiders, people serving, and
- 1:24Speaker 2: also retired high level operational people who you know I've
- 1:30Speaker 2: talked to previously. They've done reports on the FBI and
- 1:34Speaker 2: how it's going, and it's been very unflattering under Christopher Ray.
- 1:38Speaker 2: But they've just done one on the first six months
- 1:41Speaker 2: of Cash Battel's directorship and it's also unflattering. And you
- 1:47Speaker 2: know it's there are various criticisms saying that it's rudderless
- 1:51Speaker 2: and that it's just you know, Cash Battell is in
- 1:55Speaker 2: over his head and ought to listen, I think to
- 1:59Speaker 2: these critics who are on his side. I think he
- 2:05Speaker 2: and Dan Bongino, his deputy, are very thin skinned. They
- 2:11Speaker 2: I know personally they don't take kindly to criticism, but
- 2:15Speaker 2: they ought to listen to it because you know, they
- 2:19Speaker 2: are in several cases going down the wrong track. In
- 2:24Speaker 2: some cases they've done well, like this report from this
- 2:28Speaker 2: alliance of FBI people both serving and forma says praises
- 2:36Speaker 2: them for things like eradicating d or know, certainly getting
- 2:41Speaker 2: rid of a lot of DEI waste of time policies.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But you know they also are pushing against a very
- 2:52Speaker 2: difficult resistance inside the FBI, which has been staffed with
- 2:57Speaker 2: a lot of lefkis in recent times. This report actually
- 3:01Speaker 2: reveals that a lot of ex teachers were recruited who
- 3:06Speaker 2: are left leaning, and that the television sets in FBI
- 3:10Speaker 2: field officers are tuned permanently into either ms NBC Now
- 3:16Speaker 2: in this Now, and CNN, but never to Fox News.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's not a good sign. What happened to old fashioned
- 3:25Speaker 1: FBI agent who generally was a conservative type of guy,
- 3:28Speaker 1: a law enforcement guy. I guess there do we blame Comy?
- 3:33Speaker 1: His years really kind of just destroyed and transformed the
- 3:38Speaker 1: FBI in the worst possible way.
- 3:41Speaker 2: What I'm told by these guys that it actually predates
- 3:45Speaker 2: the rot predates Comy even under Muller. For whatever reason,
- 3:51Speaker 2: he decided that he wanted to recruit more university graduates
- 3:55Speaker 2: and that was when the Wokes started creeping in. And
- 4:00Speaker 2: you know, then under Comy things got even worse. And
- 4:05Speaker 2: this obsession with DEI really and woke ifying the place
- 4:10Speaker 2: really gummed up the works, and a lot of good
- 4:13Speaker 2: people who had been honorable and upright people just basically quit,
- 4:21Speaker 2: They took early retirement, or they just retired out and
- 4:25Speaker 2: so you know, I mean, no one would envy Cash
- 4:28Speaker 2: Bettel and Dan Longino for the FBI that they've inherited.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But you know, it's already difficult enough to affect change
- 4:38Speaker 2: and fix the corruption in that organization without you know,
- 4:44Speaker 2: having a whole lot of unthriced errors. And some of
- 4:48Speaker 2: the criticisms that are made from the inside are actually
- 4:52Speaker 2: evident from the outside. You know, their obsession with social media.
- 5:00Speaker 2: One of one source in this report says they need
- 5:03Speaker 2: to stop talking, stop posing, just be professional. Another said
- 5:08Speaker 2: they are spending too much time on social media and
- 5:11Speaker 2: public relations and are too often concerned with building on
- 5:16Speaker 2: this thread. So you know, it didn't even go into
- 5:21Speaker 2: the stories about cash Battel over using the FBI jet
- 5:27Speaker 2: and other criticisms that have me made in you know,
- 5:30Speaker 2: the New York Times and places that you would expect
- 5:33Speaker 2: to have negativity. This is really just a couple of
- 5:37Speaker 2: necdotes to show that Cashptell in particular is just not
- 5:43Speaker 2: handling this properly and seems to be in over his head.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So it's not about trying to get rid of cash Battel.
- 5:51Speaker 2: It's about saying to him, sort of shaking him and saying, look,
- 5:56Speaker 2: behave a little bit differently. Listen to your people who
- 6:00Speaker 2: are trying to help, who have a lot of experience,
- 6:04Speaker 2: and you might not make these blunders.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's interesting stuff. Read the column. It's in
- 6:08Speaker 1: Today's New York Post. It's up on the New York
- 6:11Speaker 1: Post website. Hey, Miranda Devine, we talked about this last time,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Trump derangement syndrome, and since then a bunch of psychiatrists
- 6:18Speaker 1: psychotherapists have written articles. It's kind of what you said,
- 6:22Speaker 1: this raging hatred for Donald Trump. I mean, if you
- 6:25Speaker 1: don't like him, it's fine, but there raging hatred. It's
- 6:28Speaker 1: more about you than about Donald Trump, the person who
- 6:32Speaker 1: has it, and it's revealing something inside, writ some something
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's it says more about the person than about Donald Trump.
- 6:42Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yes? I agree. In fact, Jonathan Alpert, who's the psychiatrist
- 6:49Speaker 2: who wrote a piece in the Wall Street Journal last week,
- 6:54Speaker 2: he's contacted me and we're probably going to do something
- 6:58Speaker 2: together this because he's saying, well, you know, he's seen
- 7:04Speaker 2: so many patients that have brought Donald Trump into therapy
- 7:10Speaker 2: to you know, he says, their distress is real and
- 7:17Speaker 2: it aligns with sort of obsessive compulsive disorders. They have
- 7:22Speaker 2: persistent intrusive thoughts, emotional dysregulation, impaired functioning, sleepless nights, compulsive
- 7:30Speaker 2: news checking, physical agitation. They can't stop thinking about Donald
- 7:34Speaker 2: Trump even when they try. They interpret is every move
- 7:38Speaker 2: is a threat to democracy and to their own safety
- 7:41Speaker 2: and control like it. I mean, this sounds really sick.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And I wonder, actually, and I'm going to ask him
- 7:49Speaker 2: about this. I wonder if people are not getting this
- 7:54Speaker 2: almost deliberately implanted. I know this sounds crazy, but by
- 7:58Speaker 2: their therapist, because I find in my experience a lot
- 8:03Speaker 2: of people who have therapy it doesn't seem to make
- 8:06Speaker 2: them better or happier or less anxious, because if it
- 8:11Speaker 2: did that, then they would stop going and therapy would
- 8:15Speaker 2: then lose a customer. So I feel like maybe therapists
- 8:19Speaker 2: and a lot that I've seen are Trump deranged or
- 8:23Speaker 2: anti Trump. So maybe you know, they need to heal
- 8:27Speaker 2: themselves before they can heal their customers. And you know,
- 8:32Speaker 2: Roseanne Rosie o'donald, she said at one point in one
- 8:37Speaker 2: of her silly social media posts about Trump, she said
- 8:41Speaker 2: that her therapist said, maybe you should just like stop
- 8:44Speaker 2: thinking about him such and Rosie was furious with her therapist.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Well, it is a little crazy. Hey, your podcast, Podforce
- 8:55Speaker 1: one is excellent. Everybody should listen to Go listen to
- 8:57Speaker 1: every episode of Podforce one. Love it. Who's on the
- 9:01Speaker 1: next episode.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Thanks very much, Mike. On Wednesday, we have Senator Ron Johnson,
- 9:07Speaker 2: who is one of Congress's most ferocious investigators. He is
- 9:14Speaker 2: most fixated on holding government to account. He does oversight,
- 9:20Speaker 2: especially of the FBI. He was the one missed Senator
- 9:24Speaker 2: Chuck Grasley his partner in crime in uncovering abuses of government.
- 9:32Speaker 2: They did the original Hunter Biden corruption investigation that was
- 9:38Speaker 2: then shut down and sabotaged just Russian disinformation back in
- 9:42Speaker 2: twenty nineteen, before we've even got Punter Biden laptop. So
- 9:47Speaker 2: that was when my eyes open to how honorable those
- 9:50Speaker 2: two are.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And speaking of that, get the book The Laptop from Hell.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It's a great bestseller. And her latest book is The
- 9:56Speaker 1: Big Guy. Get these two books, go reader Calum It's
- 9:59Speaker 1: on the New York Post website and listen for Podforst one.
