NCAA's 5-for-5 Rule Reshapes College Sports
The NCAA just unleashed its boldest rule yet: “5-for-5,” giving athletes five years to play in five seasons and effectively killing redshirting unless there’s a compelling reason. Starting in 2027 but already impacting current players, the new policy could extend eligibility for stars like Jordan Burks and even international athletes — reshaping rosters nationwide.
