- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to The Offices, a show covering the mighty Gulf, the NFL, pop culture, drinking culture and of course.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: I sure is.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you're your host, Alphar Tia, in myself.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Ron, this is The Offices and with myself, Alphar Tiaga, and Mark Brave, who are you, Mark?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing well.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: Alphar you.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of news, man.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of news in our town.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, not my town.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: I live in Iowa.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: This is this is all you.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Although what's happy about the hockey news?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and we're going to get into that.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk a little bit about that.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: But first I want to talk to you about very like I don't think we're going to be very wrestling intensive here.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: Although it's night of champions on on Saturday night, right?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: Is that Saturday night?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great question off.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: I have an event Saturday night and I was city as part of the downtown Iowa City Block Party.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Iowa City is where the University of Iowa is and there's like 10,000 people that swarm the ring and watch what we do during that street fest.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be absolutely insane.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: So if there is a night of champions on Saturday, I won't be watching it.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Did you look it up?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: Is it on Saturday?
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it is.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I saw Michael Cole was on ESPN on I think it was get up this morning and and he was saying that it's the the King of the Ring final over family versus J. Uso and he was saying it's the 25th year of the King of the Ring and I was thinking of myself I didn't know that that was going on right now.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So they're not doing a very good job of like promoting this thing, right?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the I miss when the king of the ring was a one night tournament, yeah, and it was its own show, it was its own paper view.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: You put a spotlight on it, you make it a big deal, and then people care about it.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then throughout the years, they've changed it to a multi night tournament that basically takes place on SmackDown on RAW and then culminates in like a single match on a different paper view that's not called king of the ring and
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: now nobody gives a shit so i mean they effectively killed the king of the ring so and that was one of my favorites as a kid the first paper view i ever got was the the the nineteen ninety six king of the ring uh... where it's don't called seveston one and then gave us all three sixteen promo i was ten years old it was my birthday party and uh... now you can't even watch the damn king of the ring anymore
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I remember, I think that that was the, although it happened before, like a lot of wrestling fans are fond of saying, oh, this has never happened before, but it usually has happened before many times.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: So you just don't remember it.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Or you never didn't see it on such a big show.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: But it was the first time that somebody cut a promo and it felt a little edgy.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like he was a little, because we were at that time, Jake the snake was actually
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think we did one of these lists last season where we said best promos and I had Jake to sneak in there.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you had him in your top five.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, Jake's great at cutting promos and I remember at that time and what made Jake so good at cutting a promo was like he would evolve like he would think of things you know what I mean and I guess he got it in his head you know what I want to start talking about the Bible and I'm going to make the Bible kind of spooky and make it work for me and that's when he he was starting to quote Bible verses remember
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and I wrote it was the first time that I watched the promo because then Stonko comes out as you could come out here and dump your Bible And I was thinking this is kind of edgy, you know, and then he just he says Austin 360 says I just whipped your ass and I'm thinking of myself.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is new
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, so yeah, I think the WWE has done an awful job of promoting this thing They had Michael Cole up there on get up this morning saying oh, there's just great like you got it You got to watch this thing on Saturday.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's the finals it's overfammy He's the he's the next big thing, you know, and by the way he has to have to stop with the exaggerated sizes and all that shit
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because Michael Coe was a, you have to understand, I'll go for me, 6, 6, 325 pounds.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, there's no chance in fucking hell.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's 6, 6, 425 more like.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: six, three, two, 75, yeah, maybe he's 80.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's slightly taller than Brock and Brock is like a legitimate six foot even, right?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's super wide, he's a humongous humongous humongous you have seen, he's not very tall.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: I know you said that about Brock Lesnar, but I remember that the UFC had a tail of the tape and they usually have to be pretty accurate about this.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I had my notes here.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they used to have to be pretty accurate about this because Brock Lesnar used to very famously have to cut weight for the UFC.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: The UFC has a 265 pound weight limit and he used to get into his camp like about 25.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: He had to drop 20 pounds to be able to compete.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And the UFC used to list him at 6 foot 3 even.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: six foot three then I'm six foot five because I've stood next to Brock Lesnar and I am just the smidge taller than he is and I am legitimately six foot two.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if he's six three I'm six five I'm calling it right now.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I was watching that thing this morning.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: He did a hell of a job.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like he sold me on it.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, usually the winner of the King of the Ring is champion within 365 days.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, well, you know, you should've been saying this all the long, you know, maybe you don't what it got more viewers for this term.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: I would've known that this tournament had actually happened.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just looked it up while we were talking and it does culminate this Saturday and it's apparently one of the the re-odd paper views, one of the Saudi Arabia paper views, so this is going to take place in the early afternoon, so I actually might get an opportunity to watch at least a portion of this event.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, early afternoon, it doesn't coincide with like some big World Cup match.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'll be watching as well.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe I'll watch it, you know, on the replay later on, you know, uh, I'll let's harder to find now when they were on Netflix.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Man, it was just so easy.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: Remember when they had the WWE network and how great that was?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: I really loved it.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: I thought they did such a great job with the network and then when they switched to Netflix, I was not about it and now it's getting worse on the ESPN app, but the network was great.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I really did enjoy the network.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was easy to navigate.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the ESPN app is pissing me off because they have a free app.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: ESPN has a free app like if you have some type of service you know like I have hot wire down here so I have ESPN on my hot wire TV so I could get the hot wire app and outside I got a couple of TVs like I want TV that has a fire stick, it has as a bunch of shit on it okay and it has the fission but then I have another TV which is a smaller TV that all I have is apps on
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: If you go on that ESPN app, you used to be able to get whatever was on ESPN that day.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: But now, like if there's a big golf event, they're like, no, it's now behind our paywall.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: And even if it's a big event, it'll be like, no, it's behind our paywall now.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: You have to go pay us for seeing something that you get to see for free, essentially for free, on your service.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: So they're being a little cute with that ESPN app.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: And it keeps going up and up and up and up in prices, which is not a good thing in my opinion.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my, my, my gets included with my, with my direct TV service, which I don't even watch fucking direct TV anymore, but but at least I get the the WWE paper views with it, but it's all, it's all convoluted, but no paywalls here, man.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you're watching this on YouTube, this shit's free.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you're listening to us on the three YPC podcast network, this shit's free,
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to join the discord, Alf, how might they be able to do that?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, and it's been an interesting week on that discord.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: So you could go right there to discord.gg forward slash only fins.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Join on a desktop.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's $299 read only $499 all access.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: Avoid the Apple upcharges.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, join.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: There's people all pay well there.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, you know, but we got to pay bills.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: My vacations are not going to pay for themselves.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: My my $16 regards are not going to pay for themselves.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, this will be one of those situations where I might like if you were living down here, I might have you come film something or direct something because are you familiar with the tartan army?
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I've seen you post about it a couple times now.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what that is.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: That is the Scottish football fans.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: Are essentially marauding the countryside drinking every place dry and now they're threatening
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: where I live, because they're having their after party.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're playing Brazil today.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: So good luck to you, Tartin' Army today, okay.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I was just outside.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I did my run, I came back, took a shower.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: It is awful outside.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: It is like 92 degrees, muggy, disgusting.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: Those people are gonna melt out there, all right?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Brazil's gonna be just at home.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess you can know, I guess you know, which way I'm betting in that game, right?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, yeah.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: But they're having their after party essentially like I go walk there.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's going to be like right down the street from where I live and I'm tentatively go down there and I least challenge somebody to to a beer jug.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I would be there in a heartbeat.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: That sounds like a blast.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, somebody has to put a stop to to their marauding the country side, you know, I saw them taking over the marlins game.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: That was actually pretty cool.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's like the most amount of people that's ever been to a marlins game in that's, and it was hilarious because these guys were drunk off their ass and one guy's like, I have no idea what's happening.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: They were cheering for just routine fly balls.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you hit it.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and by the way, the marlins are hot as hell.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't lost that home in a month.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: the hottest team in baseball going for for I think the last 20 games.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: So let's get for them.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, house champions or night of champions, yeah, that's on or afternoon of champions.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be on on Saturday.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: Another controversy was that they were in London and the O2 arena now kept seeing all these pictures on like, well, that does look awful.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: pictures of like a half empty arena.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what that goes to show you that, you know, you could believe what's on Twitter, but the context is never clear.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: So you should always search for the context.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I saw all these pictures like there's nobody here at the O2 Arena for Smackdown.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm thinking of myself, oh well that's not good.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like you take the WWE on the road to
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: like that's a problem.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the O2 Arena holds about 20,000, 900.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: I saw the paid attendance and the actual paid attendance by the O2 Arena, 13,900 people showed up.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: That is a big crowd for a
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: uh, uh, almost, almost gouging prices.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, any app to consider half of Europe, so over here in the United States, Washington, the world cup anyways.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, WDB is not going anywhere.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: So if you, if you see people out there say, oh, it's dying, the show sucks, you know, people love it.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: They're spending money and hand over fist.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's more popular than it's ever been.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Really.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I completely agree with that.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: Whether I,
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: enjoy the product that's, you know, put on our screens, which spoiler alert.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not not enjoying a lot of it right now, just to tell you the truth.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: It is more popular than it's ever been because the internet is filled with the vocal minority, right?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: These are the people who are loud and
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: and want their voice to be heard.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: The average wrestling fan is a family of four or five with a mom and a dad and a couple small kids and they're just trying to have a good time.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're not sitting there with their notebook out, taking notes so they can rate, you know, give out stars to these matches.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: They don't care.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're just having a good time.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're buying a Roman Reigns t-shirt at the merch stand.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting a couple hot dogs and some sodas and they're just enjoying a night out,
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: away from their home.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: So like the internet, y'all can keep yelling and screaming about this stat in the other, but at the end of the day, you're just that meme, the old man yelling at clouds.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you are.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it doesn't have to get better.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: are there are they following on hard times?
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're not.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: 13,000 and like you said Alph, 13,000 people paying the highest ticket prices ever for a show at the O2 arena I would assume.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, for for non-descript Friday nights Macdownsha.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, where if you get those if you
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: Randy Orton's gonna be here.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna even give you matches.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're not getting your ass in the seat with a match.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like it used to be.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: I remember when I was a kid and I think you'd appreciate this.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: When I was a kid, like how old are you, Mayor?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: Funny enough, I will be 40 years old this Friday.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: I got two days left in my 30s and then I will be in my 40s.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I'm older than you.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know how old I am, right?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I vaguely remember you saying anywhere in the range of 48 to 52 somewhere in that window.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm at the high range.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm 52.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I remember clearly when I was a kid.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: So we're talking about.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: man.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's a long time ago, man.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about 40 years, 40 years ago, maybe.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we're talking about like this is smack dabbing when Florida championship rustling in its heyday, right?
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking yeah, we're talking 85-ish 84-ish.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: something like that, right?
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: I remember clearly going to the ice-live in the street where it was all houses, and at the very end of the street was a main street, and at that main street, there was a 7-11.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I used to have to walk all the way down the block, and I used to go to the 7-11.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: I used to buy like a, you know, whatever old buy, baseball cards, or a slurpee, or whatever.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: I used to remember that used to put on the walls of that 7-11 wrestling posters that would say at the Miami Beach Convention Center, dusty roads versus Rick Flyer, you know what I mean?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine if you would just swipe to a couple of those throughout the years how much those posters would be worth now?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember used to look at those posters and I wasn't to wrestling that nice, big and to wrestling, but I was into it.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like I used to read a wrestling magazine every once in a while.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I used to watch the big shows.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: I used to watch Saturday night titans.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I used to think that was a great show.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And, and I remember when we looked at these posters on, like, holy shit, look at this fucking card, you know, like this is gonna be down here, you know, this is a show and those cards just, these to get asses in the seats with the matches, start power, you know, now they just say, real Ripley's gonna be here and ready, you're just gonna be here, right?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, come look at these guys.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then housing is gonna be here.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what are they doing?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know, but they'll be here.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's a liar as if they all showed up and then nothing happened.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: I remember our ticket had a promo of CM Punk.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I remember, because you get like a little leaflet.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like when you walk in and it tells you everybody who's going to be on the show and I remember walking in and I Holy shit when we bought the ticket.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't know seeing punk was going to be here.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: We knew Randy or what's going to be here But now seeing punk is going to be here.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I added in my head.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's going to wrestle a match here.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was a promo.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: So so yeah, you know, it's changed, but it's fine.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's doing really, really well.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: it really is and you know it's kind of the ebson flows of this business right like you get a hot angle you ride that for six months eight months a year everybody's really excited about it everybody's you know oh man the business is great right now and then that ends and you're trying to find the next big thing and sometimes it takes a little bit to get there and so right now in the society the microwave society that we live in everybody wants the next big thing right now
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: takes a little bit of time, okay?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: So just wait a minute and you'll get the the next big angle of the next big storyline, you know, these people didn't forget how to do professional wrestling.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: They'll get to it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: They will.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it'll be just fine.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Writing needs a little bit of help.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the programs need a little bit of help, but it's doing just fine.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Trust me, there's a lot of people.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're gonna go to break and we'll talk and we come back.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna talk about a couple of transactions in this time a couple of big ones But first these words and we're back Which one do you want to take first the basketball team or the hockey team?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know that that trade happened first, so we might as well go in chronological order
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember that day, I was in a neighboring discord, a 5.0 TF.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to go there, you know, it's, I actually run, run that place too.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: So it's discord.gg4ds-5oTF.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have a promo in here.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Although I got to tell Ethan to have one.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I could promote it for them, but it's not there, but I think there it's it's $2.99 a month.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you could check that up.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I've been there all this time and I remember on Saturday, man, the pants started cooking.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: And they sent out Mecky Sam Skabitch for a couple of picks.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm thinking myself, this is the move before the move.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it's obvious that they were doing that.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: It was obvious they were cooking something up and then bang that afternoon.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: Ready, good Chuck, isn't it?
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, it's a good thing when people are debating who's better, Brady or Matthew.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, I think Matthew's a better player.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think Matthew's a better player, but Brady is a really, really good player.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: Different skill sets.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Brady's a little younger.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, in this system, he might even become better than Matthew here because of this system.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: But the path, there's a building, basically an all-star team, like their first three lines are ridiculous.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: And the fourth line, who cares?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: feel like we talked about it a couple weeks ago and you asked me like what what would you do you just gonna run it back you're gonna try and you know now that that guys are gonna get healthy and that was my that was my opinion now I'll just run it back there all right they won two in a row and uh they decided not to just run it back they said fuck it we're all in we're we are going to guarantee that we are gonna be back next year and they went out and got ready to check and and uh
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's cool.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's a cool story, right?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's a cool story.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: You get brothers who played on the same gold winning Olympic hockey team and now they team up together for the Florida Panthers down in South Florida where there's no state taxes, baby.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: that helps all of our South Florida teams doesn't not.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And the panthers are going to make a run at this thing trying to win three out of four.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they didn't get the three feet.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: They got the they got the back to back and then all the injuries happen.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: But they're going to make a run at three out of four.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they've set themselves up nicely to do so.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, who's had a great summer.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're dead.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: Keith Katut.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my buddy, my buddy ironically named Keith big hockey guy and he He was a big Keith Kachuk fan growing up, so I think he has a Keith Kachuk jersey, so
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, the hockey Hall of Fame this summer.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Good for him.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time that both of the sons are going to be living in the same and living in playing in the same city.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously he asked about a house here, right?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that certainly helps out the family in regards to travel and whatnot.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: They they can kind of have a home base here in South Florida.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Which brings me to better
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: brother duels anywhere?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: On the same team?
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's pretty much.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have to get into the world the professional wrestling for that one.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you might have to.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's really tough.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's really.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to think of sports outside of wrestling where where brothers were on the same team at the same time and excelling.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm drawn a blank.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can't think of, I can't think of many.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think the only example, yeah.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: Although there's another example coming up on the basketball side, because he's had his brother on the same team.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: His other his brothers are not as good as he is.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, we're speaking of Janice, onto the Kumpo.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll get to the new system.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, the newest member of the Miami Heat.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll get to that in a second, put back to the hockey.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is gonna work splendidly.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: And it's gonna be odd, right?
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like their brothers, they're gonna play on the same line.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you just do, if you just start setting up the line up, like yeah, where does he fit?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: He fits with Sam Bennett and Matthew Kutchuk on the second line.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's where he fits.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, that line is gonna be,
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: somebody's going to pull out a shift sometime during the season against that line because that line is full it has three of the biggest instigators of in all of hockey like that line's going to be held to play against.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean,
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Gosh, it's June 24th.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pining for October right now.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I want to watch some fucking hockey.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: I want to watch my baseball teams falling apart.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: The Guardians, they lost Jose Ramirez and their star rookie chase the lottery and they've been dropping.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: game after game after game, the dolphins are in the middle of a rebuild.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: I just need to watch hockey.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: I just need to watch the Chuck Brothers wreak havoc against the rest of the NHL and then I can find happiness within once more.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's going to pick up and the offense is going to pick
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: in earnest here in about a week's time because they're going to have to add a golly because they don't have one under contract right now.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have Bob under contract.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: So Sergei Babowski, if you believe what's being reported out there like he wants a ridiculous amount of money and he wants it over many years and that's that's a kind of 37 years old.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah at that age
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: So we shall see, you know, so they're going to have to add a golly.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: We shall see who that golly is going to be.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: But as far as their lines like one through four, I mean, one through three are their ridiculous.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically all strong.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: They have a limpience up and down there.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like think about it.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: You have on the first line, Carter Verhagi is on, is on Teme Sweden, right?
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Rainharts on Teme Canada, Barkovs on Teme Finland.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: On the second line, you have the Kachuk brothers.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them on Team USA, Sam Bennett's on Team Canada.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: The top two lines have six Olympians on them.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you get to the third line, at to Lustarinen, it's also on Team Sweden.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a Team Finland.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Anton Lundel is the Finnish captain.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: or he's the, no, he's the, he was a top line guy because bark off didn't play.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then Brad Marchant is on team Canada.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: So their top nine players are all Olympians.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's good.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's good work.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good work.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, yeah, Bilzero, you magnificent bastard you did it again.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Thumbs up.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Zero.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: But basketball.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Did you watch a lot of basketball?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you watch a lot of the EMPA?
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I love watching playoff basketball.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: Not a huge fan of regular season basketball.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I was a huge fan of basketball in the 90s.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: Big bulls guy, Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippin, Tony Coococh.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Those type of guys, right?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I miss when teams care about defense.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: I hate this load management shit.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: But once playoff basketball comes around, it's like 90s basketball on steroids, right, because they're playing defense.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're they're driving to the hoop, but they're also just fucking wizards at shooting three pointers.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: So playoff basketball right now is when I really tune in in earnest, but I might be watching a little more basketball this year with the move that the Miami heat just made.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like somebody said, it's a very famous meme, which was, and this is about hockey, but I think it applies to like the differences between the regular season and the postseason, but this guy, there was once this meme that said, why watch, you know, why, you can, you can either jump out of an airplane without a parachute, high on cocaine, or you could watch overtime hockey in the playoffs.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the other, right?
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: But in basketball, there couldn't be a bigger difference from the regular season to the playoffs.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: The intensity is ratchet it up and the moment he have done it again and I asked this question because for whatever reason and we kind of know the reason, the media just loves to crash this team at every turn.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: But what would you call a team that
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like us, just make it in football terms.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: In the last 20 years, one, three super bowls, made seven super bowls.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: made nine Eastern conference, I mean, AFC championship games, and was fourth in total one percent.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: What would you call that franchise?
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's an absolutely dominant franchise.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the my metrics.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's the my me he.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: So that team adds a top three at worst, top five player in the league, and they get trashed.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: What is that about?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: That is the most biased, man.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: You don't think that they're going to do it again.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like they've been doing for the last 20 years.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is the formula.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: Go get a star, build around that star, win a championship, rinse, repeat.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I mean, you add Janice to the heat.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're immediately top three at worst roster in the Eastern Conference.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: You got New York.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously they just won the finals.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: You got Boston still who paints sucks to suck Boston, but you lost out on Janice.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: And now you got a deal with Jalen Brown knowing that he was on the way out until Pat Riley worked as magic, but yeah, the heat catapult themselves back into the conversation of best team in the Eastern conference.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: And if Janis can return to form, you know, he's dealt with some injuries over the last couple seasons.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: If Janice returns to form, the Miami heat are going to be right there.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be in the conversation and seeing them in the NBA finals, this upcoming season, not a surprise at all.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I think they're going to be good.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, if you watch some of the media in the last few days, man, people just trashing them, like, oh, they're not going to be very good.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't done it.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: And now,
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: The off season hasn't started yet.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: All they've done is make a trade.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like, free agency doesn't start until July 1st.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: Last night, Czech is June 24th.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: They can't announce the trade until July 6th.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like last night, it was hilarious.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Watching the commissioner go up there and say, the Miami heat select, and they say the guy's name, and then he says, this pic will be conveyed to the Milwaukee bucks due to a trade executed earlier.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: right now my son my youngest son he's ten years old he is a Milwaukee Bucks fan so this is his first like like example of pure heart break when it comes to your team you know he likes the Dolphins too so he was very salty when when Tyreech was was was let go he's a big Tyreech guy
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, Janice, like, that's the guy, right?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's the star player on his favorite basketball team.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so now he's like, looking at the draft picks.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: He got last night and he's like, I think they're gonna be pretty good, Dad.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're gonna be pretty good.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, man, for your sake, I hope so.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he got a long, long, long service from, from, Janice something to Kumpo.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that was a long run.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: And you got a championship.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like, nothing to complain about.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and if you're from Milwaukee, like, what do you got?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, be happy with that.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: You got the Packers.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: You got a really good football franchise.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, sure, sure, sure.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the Brewers.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: Brewers are pistol hot.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: Brewers are kicking ass this year.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: Much to my sugar in my team.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Although if you follow, you follow the bass, right?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you follow baseball, like we do.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: Proves have a, like that's a horrific, heartbreak history.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I don't know if you've been watching, if you followed them for like the last 12 years, but it seems the better the team, the more heartbreaking the loss and the playoffs is.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but they're damn good man like they're on fire this year they're on fire this year That's for sure, but you know the bucks the bucks are where the dolphins are at right now They're in rebuild mode.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to get some they're trying to make chicken salad I have a chicken shit.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're doing.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty much they're exactly in the same exact spots
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: because the bucks, they kind of owned the draft tonight.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like they have draft picks all over the place tonight is that night too.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: Day one, they took two guys in the first round, sound familiar, and today they owned the draft again.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, they're essentially picking like every five minutes.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it sounds like our team.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, just begs the question man, when is it going to be our turn?
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: When is it going to be our team?
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: God.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: I've been waiting my entire life for that.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: I was born in 1986.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen the Miami Dolphins in a Super Bowl.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was a freshman in high school the last time the Dolphins want to play off game.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: And like I stated earlier, I turned four years old two days from now.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just hoping against hope.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: that someday in my lifetime I will get to watch the Miami Dolphins win a Super Bowl and that conversation comes up all the time.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what would you do if the Dolphins won a Super Bowl?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd be a blubbering idiot.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be balling my eyes out for hours on end.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe this finally happened.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: But if it does happen,
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: in my lifetime.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: You better believe I'm buying every single piece of merchandise.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm flying down to Miami for the parade.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting tattoos all over my body for for everything that took place like it will be and I have two children and I hope they're not listening right now, but it will be the happiest day of my life if the dolphins win a Super Bowl.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I look around and let's just take a look at the landscape, okay?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: And they're Stanley Cup, like they should be Stanley Cup favorites.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like trust me.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Bill Zito is not going to go out there on opening night when nobody at at Goldie, okay?
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like trust me.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not playing in Goldkeeper for the Panthers this year.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody is.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to have a pretty damn good one out there.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Trust me.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Bill Zito's not done.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: He has work to do.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to do it.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: He has 7 million in cash space and he could create another 13.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder who can fit in there for a giant payday, you know what I mean?
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to get a good Goldie.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a problem.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: The basketball team has a top three, and like I said, if you want to be, if you want to be a real prick about it, you want to call them a top five player.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Fine.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: That the worst case scenario is that he's a top five player.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's a pretty damn good thing.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: The soccer team has essentially the best player in the world who in two World Cup matches has five goals.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe maybe the greatest soccer player of all time.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he plays here.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now you go watch and play and he's Saturday you want.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: So it's leaving one team out there in the cold and it's been in the wilderness for so long.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: like at some point it has to turn for them right like you got to figure it turns for them but I've always felt like you always hear about no the parody you know the parody seems like basketball has gained some parody right right yeah what is it nine champions and nine years now yeah you know baseball we knew there was parody although the Dodgers are threatening to get rid of that like yeah well when you spend like the Dodgers spend
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and hockey, I guess if, if you're not Canadian, you know, you have a shot when that this time like that, right?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: But football has always been the sport like, oh, you could suck and then be great tomorrow.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but usually what it how it works is that you can suck today, you could suck this year and make the playoffs next year.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: But to win Super Bowls,
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: man, it's hard.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: And look, Detroit.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look, they have a juggernaut.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're not owning the Super Bowl anytime soon.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: And you feel bad for those guys.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: So like, there's very few franchises that can claim more heartbreak than the Miami Dolphins.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: The lions might be one of them.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, the browns browns.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're the other one.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Jets, although they've been to the ABC Championship game in recent memory.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, as much as we preach parody, man.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, the dolphins, they have a pretty long time here in the wilderness, man.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's from, you know, they were relevant for a couple of years under Mike McDaniel.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: but as far as winning a playoff game, we know when that, when the hell that was, I was 25 years ago.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think there's any moves left to make for Miami, this offseason after you think they're gonna, maybe dip into the free agency pool for a wide receiver or something like that?
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're done.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're done and they're, they're moving over some cap space for next year.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're gonna be the, they're gonna do the responsible thing.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, they would save up a little bit of money, you know, just in case because you need money for for entry purposes.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, like you lose a guy.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to go out there in the fridge and market and pay somebody.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think they're going to do anything.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that they were going to make a move for AJ and Vanessa and doesn't seem like they're going to do that hasn't happened yet.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and, you know, it's not like the clock is taking, although I believe A.J.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: Vanessa already visited somewhere or he might even science for it was somebody.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: Did he sign already with somebody?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: I believe he did.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I believe he did.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: A.J.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: Epanesa.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he signed with somebody.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, how predictable if shit, right?
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles get in the jail on a good player.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so no, I don't think to do anything.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be responsible.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to move over some of this cap space until next year.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think next year, you're going to have a very fun offseason.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: it'll be interesting to see what Sullivan does with the extensive cap space they're going to have next season, right?
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what's your instincts on this?
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Because my instincts are that, because everybody says they'll be responsible.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to go on a shopping
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: Every single NFL team that has ever had a ton of cap space, like 100 million in cap space, has always lost their minds.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, coming from the Packers, they've been one of the more responsible organizations in the NFL.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: But...
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is Sullivan's first time as the head man in charge, right?
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's going to be able to keep his hands in his pockets or he can start the checkbook and the checkbook's going to be in his hands now.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it wasn't like it was before, before, had to go through a whole committee for him to even have input on signing somebody.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now he could just say, oh, I want this guy.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm signing him.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: Does he make it rain that's what we're asking like it's possible wondering what I find out we're gonna find out
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, every time we hear, oh, no, these, you know, they have all this cap space, but they're going to be responsible with it.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: And they usually aren't patriots had a bunch of cap space last year.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: They went absolutely bonkers.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: And they made the Super Bowl.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: So, which brings you a little bit of hope, right?
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: Go bonkers.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: Go bonkers.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you need.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you need.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you need.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: Give us a whole generic song.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's often all we have as dolphins fans, just a little bit of hope.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think we could call it right here.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think the next time we meet we will be just one week away from a journey for the season until the following set.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: We get we got one week left guys.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: You better be tuning in.
