A 21-year-old man in Fort Wayne is now facing reckless homicide and street racing charges after a fatal crash allegedly sparked by a high-speed race. Witnesses say the victim’s car was racing another vehicle before losing control and slamming into a box truck, killing the driver and igniting a fire. Though the suspect initially denied racing, investigators uncovered incriminating texts on his phone—filled with racing slang and claims he was racing the victim.
