- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I gotta come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:43Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in hour number two of OTB
- 0:47Speaker 3: one oh four five ESPN Baton Rouge coming up in
- 0:51Speaker 3: about fifteen minutes. We'll give you the number seventeam your
- 0:55Speaker 3: TV top twenty five. I think we normally do it
- 0:59Speaker 3: at eight, but you know what a fifteen feels? Right today,
- 1:01Speaker 3: it was a little bit better.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I feel like we got so passionate in our one.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, we got we gotta let the room breathe.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Someone in this room forgot to remind me that.
- 1:10Speaker 5: It was my pick, or someone just forgot that it was.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I was just about to say, like, we just took
- 1:17Speaker 3: up for you by not throwing you under the bus,
- 1:19Speaker 3: and what do you do immediately try to someone.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Forgot the order that we've been going in since twenty five.
- 1:25Speaker 5: That was like the most non Fox whole thing ever.
- 1:28Speaker 5: And we were being super far like we weren't even gonna.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Know I was clearly joking.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's when somebody says, like, hey, no offense.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Offense, with all due respect credit to myself, I'm sorry
- 1:43Speaker 5: I made you feel that way.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 1:46Speaker 3: It's like, hey, I'm sorry I made you feel that way.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Definitely not my fault.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I have used that one before. There anything I could
- 1:53Speaker 2: do to change it.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Don't do that. No, it's just your face. Don't do that.
- 1:56Speaker 3: That is not what people want to hear. All right,
- 2:00Speaker 3: So it's okay, Look we stay cock lock and ready
- 2:04Speaker 3: to go here on OTV. So Spencer Rattler will start
- 2:08Speaker 3: the final preseason game for your New Orleans Saints. You
- 2:14Speaker 3: have to imagine this is a situation where Spencer Rattler
- 2:21Speaker 3: is the leader in the clubhouse. He's going to get
- 2:23Speaker 3: one more opportunity, and as long as he doesn't fall
- 2:27Speaker 3: off a cliff in the game, he's gonna be your
- 2:30Speaker 3: starting quarterback. Certainly at the beginning of the season.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say this is this is kind of
- 2:35Speaker 7: the sign in kind of how we thought projected, kind
- 2:39Speaker 7: of with guess that it might play out based on
- 2:43Speaker 7: the experience and what we've been hearing.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Is that Spencer Radler is going to get the.
- 2:48Speaker 7: Start in the third preseason If he doesn't go and
- 2:50Speaker 7: fall in his face, it doesn't really matter to me. Like,
- 2:54Speaker 7: this is the this is how I envision it happening.
- 2:56Speaker 7: Like if he goes out and throws for you know,
- 2:59Speaker 7: one hundred, one hundred and twenty yards in his allotted
- 3:02Speaker 7: time completion percentage, then turned them all over two or
- 3:05Speaker 7: three times, runs the offense, the offense looks functional, it
- 3:08Speaker 7: looks really good. Maybe not really good. It looks like
- 3:12Speaker 7: it's functioning, staying on time. Nothing terrible happening. That is
- 3:16Speaker 7: his fault. You gotta imagine that that would be enough.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Based on the Saints starting him in the third preseason game,
- 3:24Speaker 7: the final preseason game, the fin final tune up game,
- 3:27Speaker 7: getting the reps with the.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Starters, he would be the Week one starter.
- 3:30Speaker 7: It doesn't matter if Shuck comes in and throws for
- 3:34Speaker 7: twice the amount of yards in the second half, If
- 3:38Speaker 7: Rattler looks the part, if he doesn't fall on his
- 3:42Speaker 7: face in this game, I believe he would be the
- 3:45Speaker 7: Week one starter.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Based on this decision alone.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I agree with you. If not, then Tyler Shuck's going
- 3:51Speaker 3: to be the guy that goes out there.
- 3:52Speaker 7: Yeah, and if that's not the decision making process. Why
- 3:57Speaker 7: would you put rat Let out there first and get
- 4:01Speaker 7: him the reps. At that point, it's like, all right,
- 4:04Speaker 7: this is the decision we're gonna make. This is how
- 4:06Speaker 7: we're feeling, this is how we're leaning. Let's see if
- 4:09Speaker 7: our feelings are correct on this third preseason game. Yeah,
- 4:12Speaker 7: if our first team offense looks functional, the operation is good,
- 4:16Speaker 7: we're making plays, he's making reads. Okay, that solidifies what
- 4:21Speaker 7: we're thinking. It doesn't really matter at that point what
- 4:23Speaker 7: Chuck does with the second and third team guys, because
- 4:26Speaker 7: what they're feeling now is I believe that Rattler is
- 4:29Speaker 7: the person that we're gonna give these first team reps
- 4:33Speaker 7: to and we feel might be the one. So if
- 4:38Speaker 7: it's fifty one to forty nine, how the coach is feeling,
- 4:41Speaker 7: where it sixty forty, seventy, thirty, eighty twenty, whatever it is,
- 4:44Speaker 7: it doesn't matter. If he goes out there and looks functional,
- 4:46Speaker 7: looks capable, and does the right things, makes the right decisions,
- 4:49Speaker 7: he's the obvious choice for week one. Now again, seventeen
- 4:53Speaker 7: week season, we'll see how it all plays out. But
- 4:55Speaker 7: to start week one, I would say if he does
- 4:58Speaker 7: those things. Now, if he goes out there and falls
- 5:00Speaker 7: in the space those a couple of picks, makes some
- 5:02Speaker 7: really dumb mistakes and then shut comes in and looks good,
- 5:06Speaker 7: then maybe we're talking about a whole other situation. But
- 5:09Speaker 7: if the games play out like they have the first
- 5:10Speaker 7: where both quarterbacks at times have looked very capable and
- 5:13Speaker 7: make good decision, We've said it the first two games,
- 5:16Speaker 7: a quarterback has not been the issue in these games.
- 5:19Speaker 7: There's been a couple of picks, but there's a lot
- 5:22Speaker 7: that goes into those those two picks that are the
- 5:25Speaker 7: one pick that each of them threw.
- 5:26Speaker 2: They've all looked very capable.
- 5:28Speaker 7: So if that continues, if both guys look decent and
- 5:31Speaker 7: look good and running offense, then I believe based on
- 5:35Speaker 7: this decision, Rattler would be the starter.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So I think this one is important to note because
- 5:46Speaker 3: you know you've had multiple guys start here in the preseason.
- 5:50Speaker 3: But I think it's of note that more did say
- 5:54Speaker 3: the plans who play as many starters as they can
- 5:57Speaker 3: against the Broncos. So some players like Eric McCoy maybe
- 6:02Speaker 3: Ak that have not played in the preseason yet get
- 6:04Speaker 3: an opportunity to go out there and so, like Matt
- 6:08Speaker 3: was just laying out there. If you're going to for
- 6:10Speaker 3: the first time for the first time this preseason, have
- 6:13Speaker 3: some of those guys out there, and Spencer's the guy
- 6:16Speaker 3: that you want to have out there with them, that's
- 6:18Speaker 3: a big telltale sign.
- 6:19Speaker 7: Yeah, if you're not leaning that way, those are wasted reps.
- 6:22Speaker 7: If you're not leaning that way. If an organization really
- 6:24Speaker 7: was trying to push for Shuck to be the guy,
- 6:26Speaker 7: then it's a waste of those crucial, crucial reps from
- 6:31Speaker 7: a unit that hasn't been together with live bullets coming
- 6:33Speaker 7: at them all preseason, completely together at least now. From
- 6:36Speaker 7: a receiver standpoint, I know they've all kind of they've
- 6:39Speaker 7: been out there, but from an entire unit standpoint, ultra important,
- 6:44Speaker 7: ultra important. I know there's a lot of other teams
- 6:45Speaker 7: out there that don't play starters, they don't play everybody,
- 6:48Speaker 7: but those are solidified teams.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Those are teams with chemistry.
- 6:51Speaker 7: Those are teams that are looking to make deep playoff
- 6:54Speaker 7: runs and have Super Bowl aspiration. Realistically, we're not in
- 6:59Speaker 7: that situation to put your guys out there and play.
- 7:03Speaker 3: So here's a couple quotes from Saints coach Keller Moore,
- 7:07Speaker 3: who look, they said a couple days ago that they
- 7:09Speaker 3: weren't gonna name a starter until after this game. But
- 7:12Speaker 3: he said, I think our whole goal at the beginning
- 7:14Speaker 3: was not to put a timeline on this thing. When
- 7:18Speaker 3: it's ready, it's ready and we go. We've got patience
- 7:21Speaker 3: on our side and we'll be just fine. He said.
- 7:24Speaker 3: We are not going to be one of those college
- 7:26Speaker 3: teams that walks the guy out there the first play
- 7:29Speaker 3: and you guys get to know who the starter is
- 7:31Speaker 3: at that moment. Don't worry about that. So it's got
- 7:36Speaker 3: to happen after this game. And I'm not just talking
- 7:39Speaker 3: about for us to sit here and talk about it.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I'm talking about for that locker room. That locker room
- 7:44Speaker 3: needs to say, Okay, Rat's our guy, even if it
- 7:48Speaker 3: was Chuck. They need to be able to be like, hey,
- 7:53Speaker 3: this is going to be the guy that leads us
- 7:56Speaker 3: oude of the tunnel. This is going to be a
- 7:58Speaker 3: guy that's a captain on this team. Probably because as
- 8:01Speaker 3: Spencer Ratler wins a job, he's probably gonna have a
- 8:03Speaker 3: C on his jersey. They need to know that because
- 8:07Speaker 3: like that is like, at least for me being somebody
- 8:10Speaker 3: that did not play quarterback, Like I would want to
- 8:13Speaker 3: know who is our guy, who is the voice in
- 8:15Speaker 3: the huddle? We need to be with that guy. That
- 8:20Speaker 3: guy needs to be in front of the meeting. He
- 8:22Speaker 3: needs to be leading the protection meeting. If he's going
- 8:24Speaker 3: to be our guy. Let's go over. Hey, let's go
- 8:27Speaker 3: over our cadence one more time. Let's have a cadence meeting.
- 8:29Speaker 3: And that might sound well while you're in the pros,
- 8:31Speaker 3: while you're doing that, because his is different than Tyler Shuck's, right,
- 8:34Speaker 3: And now that we got everybody together, Hey, let's have
- 8:36Speaker 3: that meeting. It's quick. It's seven minutes, give me seven minutes.
- 8:40Speaker 3: All those things to me, I don't know how you
- 8:42Speaker 3: feel it because you were the guy leading those meetings.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Like that's such important to me because everybody does it
- 8:48Speaker 3: a little bit differently, and you want to be on
- 8:50Speaker 3: the same page as much as you possibly can when
- 8:52Speaker 3: you're playing in the National Football League.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Yeah, and I think as the Saints fan base needs
- 8:58Speaker 7: to kind of be realistic about everything to like from
- 9:01Speaker 7: top to bottom.
- 9:02Speaker 3: They're I think they understand the assignment right now.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah, they're two deep rosters, not the best yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Okay, So it's a it's a long season, like this
- 9:10Speaker 7: is seventeen weeks, like this is it's gonna be long.
- 9:13Speaker 7: We're gonna see both quarterbacks play. Realistically, there's we might
- 9:17Speaker 7: see both guys start. I don't know what's gonna happen,
- 9:20Speaker 7: but like if you just look at it like unless
- 9:24Speaker 7: and it might not even be completely the quarterbacks fault.
- 9:26Speaker 7: But if a team gets into a three, four, five
- 9:29Speaker 7: game losing streak, they're gonna try things. They're gonna try
- 9:32Speaker 7: different things. So if Spencer starts and that happens, you
- 9:35Speaker 7: might see shuk. If Shuck starts and that happens, you
- 9:37Speaker 7: might see rally like and it might not be completely
- 9:40Speaker 7: like kind of like last year, Spencer Ratler was put
- 9:41Speaker 7: in a really tough situation, like how many quarterbacks are
- 9:44Speaker 7: going to be successful in the situation that he was
- 9:47Speaker 7: put in last year with a Saint. But as a coach,
- 9:50Speaker 7: you have to just keep throwing things at the wall
- 9:54Speaker 7: to see if the works.
- 9:54Speaker 2: So I think we will.
- 9:55Speaker 7: I mean, you have to be realistic and say you're
- 9:57Speaker 7: gonna see both of these quarterbacks play and hopeful, hopefully.
- 10:01Speaker 2: At the end of the season.
- 10:03Speaker 7: You know, one hundred percent without a shadow of a
- 10:06Speaker 7: doubt that you either got a guy or you don't
- 10:09Speaker 7: got a guy, right, because at least you know yeah,
- 10:11Speaker 7: And the worst thing that can happen in any part
- 10:14Speaker 7: of life is indecision, and it's the fear of the unknown.
- 10:17Speaker 7: Like you have to end this season no matter what,
- 10:20Speaker 7: no matter if you win zero games or twelve games
- 10:23Speaker 7: or anywhere in between. You have to know, without a
- 10:26Speaker 7: shadow of a doubt what you're doing at the quarterback position.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Real quick, before we take a break, speak on the
- 10:33Speaker 3: fact that Tyler Schuck is a second round pick and
- 10:37Speaker 3: the narrative surrounding this quarterback battle, and multiple people that
- 10:41Speaker 3: are really good at their job that have kind of said,
- 10:45Speaker 3: the Saints want Tyler Schuck to win this job, or
- 10:47Speaker 3: at least that's their feel, that's how that's how they
- 10:50Speaker 3: kind of read the situation. You were somebody and a
- 10:53Speaker 3: point at all time that beat out a second round
- 10:55Speaker 3: pick is the backup to Aaron Rodgers. You were a
- 10:57Speaker 3: seventh round pick. The packer said, we don't care once
- 11:00Speaker 3: you're here. You're a packer. That's all we care about.
- 11:03Speaker 3: You win that job. Is there anything in your mind
- 11:06Speaker 3: that would be truthful about the Saints wanting their second
- 11:09Speaker 3: round pick to win the job.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Well, certainly, I have not spent any time at a
- 11:13Speaker 7: Saints practice or within those within that the walls there
- 11:17Speaker 7: or the field. I haven't, Like I hadn't talked to
- 11:19Speaker 7: any players or coaches. You were, you were there one day.
- 11:22Speaker 7: It's not like we would actually really know what is
- 11:25Speaker 7: in their head. We can speculate, but I can tell
- 11:28Speaker 7: you just from a a guy that's been there, a
- 11:31Speaker 7: guy that's been in multiple organizations, Like an organization doesn't
- 11:35Speaker 7: care who the starter is unless you're like a top
- 11:39Speaker 7: top pick, or unless you just got paid but ton
- 11:42Speaker 7: of money, unless that's happening by default, like you have
- 11:47Speaker 7: to start just because of the investment. Like a second
- 11:50Speaker 7: round pick to an NFL organization is an investment in
- 11:53Speaker 7: a draft pick. Sure, but it's not like this huge
- 11:56Speaker 7: capital investment to where like you have to we're definitely
- 12:00Speaker 7: to push him in there to play blah blah blahah.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Like guys Isaiah Foscue was a second round pick.
- 12:04Speaker 7: So they drafted at what was what was the overall
- 12:07Speaker 7: what was the pick overall came forty four shuck fortieth pick.
- 12:11Speaker 7: They they used the fortieth pick to draft a quarterback
- 12:17Speaker 7: to have a potential starting quarterback, It doesn't matter if
- 12:21Speaker 7: his name plate says shuck or not. If it pushes
- 12:24Speaker 7: another guy to beat him out, it's not a waste
- 12:28Speaker 7: to pick if he beats him out as successful. Hey
- 12:31Speaker 7: I was. I was a seventh round pick. I beat
- 12:33Speaker 7: out a second round pick in the first training camp.
- 12:35Speaker 7: They didn't care because it didn't cost him anything anymore.
- 12:40Speaker 7: That I beat him out didn't cost him any the
- 12:41Speaker 7: last Yeah, they couldn't take the money back that they
- 12:45Speaker 7: paid him because I beat him out. They couldn't pay
- 12:47Speaker 7: me more because I beat him out. It's just the
- 12:49Speaker 7: payroll was the same. So they drafted a second round
- 12:53Speaker 7: pick and they still got a quarterback. So and then
- 12:58Speaker 7: I made the explanation the other day, like, even if
- 13:02Speaker 7: Jordan Love would not have panned out in Green Bay, yeah, Giraffe,
- 13:06Speaker 7: spending that first round pick on him led to your
- 13:09Speaker 7: current quarterback having back to back in MVP seasons. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 7: that's a good first round pick. That's a good yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 7: because it pissed them off and it drove him. That
- 13:19Speaker 7: was a It ended up being a really good first
- 13:22Speaker 7: round pick. And Okay, so yeah, he has panned out.
- 13:24Speaker 7: But even if it didn't, I know, they didn't win
- 13:27Speaker 7: the Super Bowl those years they could have, Like if
- 13:30Speaker 7: if they you get two MVP seasons because you made
- 13:32Speaker 7: that pick, Blake, So whatever, it doesn't matter what the
- 13:36Speaker 7: name plate says, like, as long as you're getting a
- 13:38Speaker 7: guy and if you beat if somebody beats him out right, yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 7: it doesn't matter. So like to to say like an
- 13:47Speaker 7: organization is like wanting somebody kind of makes me head
- 13:51Speaker 7: that it kind of blows my mind that people would
- 13:53Speaker 7: would think that unless it is me, yea.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Hold that I'll get. I'll give you a I know
- 13:56Speaker 3: we got your break. A quick example, we we drafted
- 14:00Speaker 3: Moneyball in the second round when I was with Denver,
- 14:03Speaker 3: Wisconsin running back great college career. We signed c J.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Anderson as an undrafted free agent out of cal By
- 14:10Speaker 3: the end of that training camp, CJ Anderson had moved
- 14:13Speaker 3: ahead of minding Ball on the depth chart. Undrafted free
- 14:16Speaker 3: agent second round pick. Yeah, CJ kept making a play
- 14:20Speaker 3: after a play, after a play after a play, and
- 14:23Speaker 3: he was behind No Sean. He was the two right.
- 14:26Speaker 3: No Sean got hurt and here comes CJ. Anderson. So
- 14:30Speaker 3: sure that they wanted to work out, but they're not
- 14:32Speaker 3: going to sacrifice the greater good of their team just
- 14:36Speaker 3: because of where you were drafted.
- 14:39Speaker 7: Owner of the greatest tier I've ever seen. Greatest tier
- 14:44Speaker 7: was fat. If it came out today, you people would
- 14:46Speaker 7: think it was AI. Probably so probably so.
- 14:51Speaker 3: All right, when we come back, we hope we'll continue
- 14:57Speaker 3: the OTB Top twenty five here on well OTV after bench.
- 15:06Speaker 3: All right, go to trash rangers dot com. You can

- 16:29Speaker 5: Now, somebody put this in the chat, so I played it.
- 16:32Speaker 4: It's not Hey whoever, it's not funky.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Though, fired person in the chat.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Is this what you were doing in middle school?
- 16:41Speaker 2: Take on the average.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Fourth and fifth grade if you were, If you were
- 16:46Speaker 6: this good man, I was, Yeah, this is a funky
- 16:51Speaker 6: shut up.
- 16:51Speaker 3: That's not apologize. This is a this is one of
- 16:54Speaker 3: the this is one of the greatest songs of all time.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Do not apologize for playing this.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Also, when they play this of it in the movie.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. It's great for its time.
- 17:04Speaker 6: When they play this in the movie Ray, the little
- 17:06Speaker 6: montage they have going, good.
- 17:07Speaker 7: Scene, scene, great song. But you can know like that
- 17:10Speaker 7: we're the greatest of its time. Maybe not of all time.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Everybody's got a different taste, but it's good. You don't
- 17:15Speaker 3: have to agree.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I like it.
- 17:17Speaker 3: It's just like, you know, I love my fifties music now.
- 17:20Speaker 3: It makes me want to play some Jerry Lee Lewis,
- 17:23Speaker 3: you know, like my sixties Melvis, some Johnny Cash, some
- 17:27Speaker 3: Sam Cook, Otis Redding.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That's what you're trying to talk bad about seventies music.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Other day.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I don't like disco.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I don't even mind disco. It is seven a weird hate.
- 17:42Speaker 7: It is seventies. Let me say it's a weird hate
- 17:44Speaker 7: for discos. Said, there's so much great music in the seventies.
- 17:47Speaker 7: I would say seventies is one of the best.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Said disco. Yeah, seven disco.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I don't even really mind it. I actually kind of
- 17:54Speaker 4: like disco.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah again in the summer. It's all that is. Great.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Music is something I will never are you if you
- 18:00Speaker 3: love whatever. Yeah, I might not like it, but I'm
- 18:04Speaker 3: not gonna hate on you for it. Because music is
- 18:06Speaker 3: to each their own.
- 18:07Speaker 2: True. Yeah, no, if you don't like the music, I like,
- 18:09Speaker 2: I kind of.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Judge you for it, and I really only judge M
- 18:13Speaker 4: people O.
- 18:16Speaker 2: K pop.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Oh, he's been watching a show called the Demon hunter
- 18:22Speaker 5: one Demon Hunters?
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm like, what who thought of this? What high person
- 18:27Speaker 2: thought of this idea?
- 18:27Speaker 6: I know they say, don't like, don't judge a book
- 18:30Speaker 6: by its cover, don't judge a title. It's a terrible
- 18:32Speaker 6: title for a show, but like.
- 18:34Speaker 4: It's for kids.
- 18:34Speaker 2: It's for kids. It's a kids show.
- 18:36Speaker 4: But I guess they're at least they're hunting the demons.
- 18:39Speaker 8: Can you play K pop Demon Hunters soundtrack? I'm like no,
- 18:44Speaker 8: You're like that doesn't sound appropriate. But then I'm like,
- 18:47Speaker 8: then of course, I you know, break down. I'm like,
- 18:49Speaker 8: all right, fine, which track?
- 18:52Speaker 3: Is there a genre of music where you can see somebody?
- 18:54Speaker 3: You know exactly what they listen to?
- 18:58Speaker 4: Wait?
- 18:58Speaker 3: What see somebody?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, I grunge.
- 19:04Speaker 7: I would say, oh yeah, you know for sure? What
- 19:09Speaker 7: kind of what kind of music do goth people like?
- 19:12Speaker 4: The Cure in the Banshees or something?
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:19Speaker 3: Probably pop Roach in the uh in the rotation? Anymore
- 19:22Speaker 3: and more popper roach, man.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I like some popper roach. Maybe just listen to just
- 19:28Speaker 2: listening to sound effects. I don't know.
- 19:32Speaker 4: The cure is good, though, The cure is good.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 19:38Speaker 4: The smith's feel goth too. Yeah, Marilyn Manson, that's a
- 19:43Speaker 4: good pool.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Damn. In the chat, you know, he removed a rib.
- 19:48Speaker 2: That is crazy, removed story the first I don't even know,
- 19:52Speaker 2: is it true? Everybody heard that? Middle?
- 19:56Speaker 3: All right? All right, all right, squirrel, squirrel, squirrel, all right.
- 20:01Speaker 3: The OTB top twenty five. We are working our way
- 20:04Speaker 3: to number seven. Matt was certainly prepared for this segment
- 20:07Speaker 3: today at twenty five, Boise State at twenty four, Memphis
- 20:11Speaker 3: at twenty three, Baylor at twenty two, Georgia Tech at
- 20:14Speaker 3: twenty one, Tennessee at twenty, Iowa State at nineteen, Texas
- 20:17Speaker 3: eight and four at eighteen, Indiana seventeen, Old miss sixteen,
- 20:21Speaker 3: Florida fifteen, Texas Tech fourteen, SMU thirteen, Arizona State, twelve, Alabama, eleven, Miami, ten, Illinois, nine,
- 20:28Speaker 3: Texas eight, Oregan and numbers.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Can we just get a graphic next time?
- 20:33Speaker 4: I think we're waiting till the.
- 20:35Speaker 7: Wait till the Yeah, like it's you're kind of running
- 20:38Speaker 7: out of breath reading. All right, So I got the
- 20:41Speaker 7: seventh pick.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I'm not happy about it. I don't want to have
- 20:44Speaker 2: to make this.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Pick, but I'm trying to stop y'all from having to
- 20:47Speaker 7: make this pick any higher. Yeah, it's a team that
- 20:49Speaker 7: I have zero respect for. It's a team that I
- 20:52Speaker 7: don't like. And it's not because I don't think their
- 20:55Speaker 7: mascot's cool or I don't think their.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Traditions are cool.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yeah, they got an updated logo yesterday.
- 21:00Speaker 7: It's not because I don't think they're gold helmets a girl.
- 21:02Speaker 7: I like all of the things that this school brings
- 21:07Speaker 7: to the table from a college football perspective, but I
- 21:10Speaker 7: got no respect for them because they are a bunch
- 21:12Speaker 7: of betas walking around. You're putting Texas A and at
- 21:16Speaker 7: seven they're king. They are the kings of Beta scheduling,
- 21:26Speaker 7: the independent Catholics, the fighting Irish, Notre Dame. It's coming
- 21:34Speaker 7: into the OTB number seven because I didn't want them
- 21:38Speaker 7: to be any higher, is why I'm putting them here.
- 21:42Speaker 3: It's a new logo, it's new, Yeah, they unveiled it yesterday. Normally,
- 21:46Speaker 3: the the Leprechaun has his fists right.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yes, and put them on. Yes, throw fisticuffs all right.
- 22:03Speaker 7: I want to like Notre Dame because I do think
- 22:05Speaker 7: they have great helmets.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I love their traditions.
- 22:08Speaker 3: They do got a lot of great traditions.
- 22:09Speaker 7: They got great traditions. I like their alternate green uniforms.
- 22:14Speaker 7: I like all this stuff. That's about it. Pick a conference,
- 22:19Speaker 7: play people. I know you schedule USC a SEC, the
- 22:22Speaker 7: kind of go to the ACC, go to the Big Ten,
- 22:25Speaker 7: come to the SEC, whatever it is. I don't care
- 22:27Speaker 7: pick a conference, but trying to be like, look at me,
- 22:31Speaker 7: look at me, look at me.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Play nobody. And then at the end of the year.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I didn't even do a deep dive on their roster
- 22:39Speaker 2: because I don't care.
- 22:42Speaker 3: DJ car just got a name starting quarterback about three
- 22:44Speaker 3: days ago. I'll say this about them, obviously shout out
- 22:47Speaker 3: to Mike Denbrock. One of the things about coach den
- 22:50Speaker 3: Brock that I always appreciate doesn't really matter what kind
- 22:52Speaker 3: of quarterback he has, he will tailor his offense around
- 22:55Speaker 3: the skill set of the quarterback. I think that is
- 22:59Speaker 3: something that a lot of coordinators try to make the
- 23:02Speaker 3: quarterback change to their system. But look, he's had Desmond Ritter.
- 23:05Speaker 3: He's had Jaden Daniels, he's had you know, last year
- 23:09Speaker 3: he had Riley Leonard. Like, he's had different quarterbacks and
- 23:12Speaker 3: been successful with different skill sets, and so I can
- 23:14Speaker 3: appreciate that is CJ. Carr those quarterbacks, I don't think so.
- 23:19Speaker 3: But it's the first time and the last couple of
- 23:21Speaker 3: years they didn't go get a one year transfer rental
- 23:23Speaker 3: out of the portal. So they believe it. In my think
- 23:27Speaker 3: they do.
- 23:27Speaker 2: They got the best running back in the country or
- 23:29Speaker 2: potentially the best.
- 23:30Speaker 7: They got the best run back in the country. Jeremia
- 23:32Speaker 7: so kind of a dark horse Heisman candidate. We'll see
- 23:35Speaker 7: what kind of happens. Marcus Freeman. We both have a
- 23:37Speaker 7: ton of respect for Marcus Freeman. We played against them,
- 23:40Speaker 7: We've seen him rise up through the coaching ranks.
- 23:43Speaker 2: He's got a lot of respect. Very very handsome man
- 23:45Speaker 2: as well.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah, chill out, Marcus. Yeah, he's and Pete's.
- 23:52Speaker 9: Save some from Matthew, probably the most handsome coach league
- 24:01Speaker 9: at Yeah, I think so.
- 24:03Speaker 2: So his handsoenness puts him in the top ten.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, that's what pushed him over the edge.
- 24:08Speaker 4: So he's gritty and.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Pretty that's tritty and pretty, and they were talking.
- 24:13Speaker 3: About the combination of both.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Yeah, we were talking about the receivers as well. He
- 24:17Speaker 7: said they started coming on at the end.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Of the year last year.
- 24:20Speaker 3: You know, they certainly did, because they struggled out of
- 24:24Speaker 3: the gates and it was a position that they were
- 24:27Speaker 3: looking for anything, because it became really reliant on Riley
- 24:32Speaker 3: Leonard's legs on like almost any third down and really
- 24:35Speaker 3: even third down and medium, like not even third down
- 24:37Speaker 3: in short and Jeremiah Love obviously he was catching balls
- 24:40Speaker 3: out of the backfield. He was playing really well. But
- 24:43Speaker 3: they needed their receivers to step up. And I was
- 24:45Speaker 3: talking with Ajay right before we came into this segment.
- 24:48Speaker 3: They actually did at the end of last year. Like
- 24:51Speaker 3: if you go back and you look at their run
- 24:53Speaker 3: at the end of the year and into the playoff,
- 24:55Speaker 3: I mean they had multiple guys. Great Hoouse is probably
- 24:57Speaker 3: the one that a lot of people Jaden Greathhouse from
- 25:00Speaker 3: his game against Penn State, But I mean they had
- 25:02Speaker 3: multiple guys Faisons, somebody that dual sport athlete there at
- 25:06Speaker 3: Notre Dame that certainly had some moments against Georgia. You
- 25:09Speaker 3: go get Will Pauling from Wisconsin. That is somebody that
- 25:12Speaker 3: got should go way back and think about the bowl
- 25:14Speaker 3: game LSU played against Wisconsin. He was a big star
- 25:18Speaker 3: in that game. So he comes over to join the
- 25:20Speaker 3: fighting Irish. You get Malachi Fields as well. That is
- 25:23Speaker 3: somebody that had eight hundred and eight yards at UVA
- 25:26Speaker 3: a year ago. So the two guys that are coming back,
- 25:29Speaker 3: you add two guys through the portal, and I think
- 25:31Speaker 3: it's actually going to be one of their strengths, where
- 25:33Speaker 3: last year it was a real weakness early in the season.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Looking at their schedule, I mean to credit to them.
- 25:39Speaker 7: I will give them some credit. They have scheduled smoths.
- 25:41Speaker 7: They open the season against Miami and then they played
- 25:45Speaker 7: Texas A and M which last year they went into
- 25:47Speaker 7: Kyle Field and took care of business, looked very good,
- 25:50Speaker 7: which kind of helped them, you know, with their rankings
- 25:52Speaker 7: throughout the season. But then after that they played Purdue,
- 25:54Speaker 7: then they play Arkansas, Boise State, North Carolina State. Then
- 25:58Speaker 7: they have their game at home USC than Boston College, Navy,
- 26:02Speaker 7: pitt Syracuse, Stanford. Certainly not a complete schedule that would
- 26:06Speaker 7: strike fear in anybody, especially if you get past the
- 26:09Speaker 7: first two weeks.
- 26:10Speaker 3: First two weeks are crucial though, those are two tough
- 26:13Speaker 3: games for them.
- 26:14Speaker 7: But the way like that's this is what bothers me.
- 26:16Speaker 7: The way they set up their schedule. They could still
- 26:17Speaker 7: drop one, they could even drop two, and it'll probably.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Northern Illinois last year ran the table and made to
- 26:23Speaker 3: the National Championship game.
- 26:24Speaker 7: They could probably they could probably drop both of them
- 26:26Speaker 7: and still make it somehow because they're Notre Dame and
- 26:29Speaker 7: they're on NBC.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I will say, I'll give I'll give Notre Dame their flowers.
- 26:33Speaker 3: When when I went and covered them in the Sugar Bowl,
- 26:35Speaker 3: I was on the sideline for that game and the
- 26:37Speaker 3: pads were popping. They brought the physicality to Georgia, which
- 26:41Speaker 3: that doesn't happen very often. So I will like, I
- 26:44Speaker 3: don't like they've had a shift in mindset. And I
- 26:47Speaker 3: will say that that was impressive to me that they
- 26:50Speaker 3: brought the fight to the Georgia Bulldogs because Mark's coach. Man,
- 26:54Speaker 3: typically Georgia is going to be that one that's you know,
- 26:57Speaker 3: out there, alpha out in front. But Notre Dame. Man,
- 27:00Speaker 3: it wasn't even close, to be honest with you.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Yeah, well, they were a good team, and they'll probably
- 27:04Speaker 7: be a really good team this year. I just you know,
- 27:06Speaker 7: I have a hard time giving them any respect join
- 27:10Speaker 7: a conference simple.
- 27:14Speaker 6: I actually think seven is a perfect spot. Like I was,
- 27:18Speaker 6: I was gonna put them at eight yesterday. The only
- 27:20Speaker 6: reason I didn't Oregon's got a lot less returning starters.
- 27:24Speaker 6: They're both bringing into New QB. So yeah, and like Jeremi,
- 27:27Speaker 6: Love was kind of the deciding factor for him. But
- 27:29Speaker 6: this is actually where I was hoping you were.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Going boom, nailed it. I'll put him twenty six if
- 27:35Speaker 2: I could. You could have. I couldn't have. We only
- 27:39Speaker 2: started with twenty five.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Yeah, but you could have.
- 27:40Speaker 7: Somebody else would have picked them, and then we were
- 27:42Speaker 7: gonna be in danger of them being top five.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Right, But I took a bullet. But for you, if
- 27:47Speaker 3: you didn't select, and you could say I had him
- 27:49Speaker 3: in twenty six, it was Jake's spout. He picked him.
- 27:52Speaker 7: And how soft are they for not wanting to play
- 27:55Speaker 7: in Dublin Ireland every single year?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Soft?
- 28:01Speaker 3: Remember you put you picked this team. You're kind of
- 28:05Speaker 3: yelling at us like we did it.
- 28:07Speaker 2: That's made me do this to myself.
- 28:12Speaker 6: Look, they're gonna be able to run the hell out
- 28:14Speaker 6: of the ball. They're gonna have a great defense. Like
- 28:16Speaker 6: I know we talk about Judiarian Love, I mean Jeremiah Love,
- 28:20Speaker 6: Jadarian Price, the backup running back.
- 28:22Speaker 2: It's good a year ago. He's as well.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Like they got a little one two punch there.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Williams is a good player too.
- 28:29Speaker 7: So reluctantly I am choosing on the OTB Top twenty
- 28:34Speaker 7: five preseason Top twenty five, the only preseason poll that
- 28:38Speaker 7: matters in the entire world, this one. Notre Dame. Lock
- 28:43Speaker 7: it in number seven. It ain't no guess that's what
- 28:46Speaker 7: it's gonna be. End of the season, they will be
- 28:48Speaker 7: the seventh best team in the game.
- 28:49Speaker 3: That ain't no guess, that's what it's gonna be.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Put the house on it. Put the house on it,
- 28:53Speaker 4: your whole mortgage, because you're gonna do.
- 28:55Speaker 2: In that four to one k. Don't do that. Actually,
- 28:59Speaker 2: that'd be really responsible.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yeah, probably get a penalty on it, big penalty.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, we spent enough time talking about them, all right,
- 29:16Speaker 2: we'll take a break.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Continue OTB. Remember we do have a guy, heard Benson
- 29:20Speaker 3: from the SEC Office joining us at nine forty to
- 29:23Speaker 3: break down the new schedule model in the sec. We'll
- 29:27Speaker 3: get to some of your questions as well throughout the show.
- 29:31Speaker 3: We have got to try to put together a pontoon
- 29:35Speaker 3: parlay for this week zero slate of games. It's not
- 29:40Speaker 3: the best slate. We all know that it's fine, but
- 29:43Speaker 3: still doesn't mean you can't bet on a poor slate.
- 29:46Speaker 3: We'll do that coming up in our number three as well.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Stay locked in OTV off the bench. All right, If
- 29:54Speaker 3: you are going to the game next weekend in Clemson,
- 29:58Speaker 3: South Carolina, but you just decided that you wanted to go,
- 30:02Speaker 3: maybe something just freed up for you. It is not
- 30:04Speaker 3: too late to plan that travel. You go to a

- 30:41Speaker 7: So call them. Go to their website, see what kind
- 30:43Speaker 7: of packages that they can set up for you, whether

- 31:06Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. It's off the
- 31:09Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Don't you want to get out? Do you want to
- 31:19Speaker 3: get down?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Tell me.
- 31:39Speaker 3: How you gonna do it?
- 31:40Speaker 1: If you really don't want to dance by standing on
- 31:43Speaker 1: the wall, tell me how you gonna do it.
- 31:48Speaker 3: If you really don't want to dance by standing on
- 31:52Speaker 3: the wall.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Totally redeem yourself.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Because we're not gonna throw shade at her for playing
- 32:06Speaker 3: Ray Charles. Like it might not be what you wanted,
- 32:09Speaker 3: but we're not gonna throw shade at her. That's Ray Charles. Okay,
- 32:14Speaker 3: she ain't gonna do that.
- 32:16Speaker 2: I'm not throwing shake her.
- 32:20Speaker 3: But she like she had done something bad. She played
- 32:23Speaker 3: Ray Charles.
- 32:24Speaker 7: We're all out here, she could probably admit that it
- 32:27Speaker 7: wasn't funk. She needed to renew herself. I didn't put
- 32:30Speaker 7: that on.
- 32:30Speaker 2: She knew it. We all knew it.
- 32:33Speaker 3: You're being very judgmental this morning. You know what, very
- 32:35Speaker 3: non fox.
- 32:36Speaker 7: I throw a ball over your head. I'm gonna look
- 32:38Speaker 7: at you. I'm gonna tap my chest. You know that
- 32:40Speaker 7: ain't Truella tap my chest.
- 32:42Speaker 3: You'd be like, whoa, why didn't you run over there
- 32:44Speaker 3: and dive and jump and get it. It's like, man,
- 32:46Speaker 3: I'm five ten bud, you were throwing to a six
- 32:48Speaker 3: or four guy? You would You're the last guy that
- 32:52Speaker 3: would hit this.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 32:54Speaker 3: A last one?
- 32:55Speaker 7: Are you kidding me? I jumped on so many grenades
- 32:58Speaker 7: out there. That was a bad analogy. I shouldn't say that.
- 33:07Speaker 7: It's because.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Not comparing myself to people.
- 33:13Speaker 3: It's like you don't know what it was like only
- 33:14Speaker 3: were in foxhol You're comparing yourself. No, I men and women.
- 33:20Speaker 2: That one of those things I immediately regretted when I
- 33:23Speaker 2: said it out loud. It's on me.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I didn't want to be hit by the way.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I didn't want to be like Kellen Winslow in the
- 33:30Speaker 2: locker room.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Oh, I forgot about that.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Ryan. Yeah, that one't great, and I just felt bad
- 33:38Speaker 2: about saying that one.
- 33:41Speaker 3: We never, I don't think we never as a group.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I wanted to, you know, come together and have three
- 33:48Speaker 3: teams that we want to see LSU player. I know
- 33:50Speaker 3: we each kind of had one that we wanted to
- 33:53Speaker 3: maybe put up to a vote. But one thing about
- 33:55Speaker 3: O t B is, despite that last comment from Flynn,
- 33:59Speaker 3: we are going to be a wolf pack in the
- 34:01Speaker 3: foxhole here. So there's four of us, which can get
- 34:05Speaker 3: a little tricky, But we need to come up with
- 34:07Speaker 3: the three teams. It needs to be the official OTB
- 34:10Speaker 3: stance of who we want the l s U three
- 34:13Speaker 3: permanent opponents to be.
- 34:14Speaker 6: Well, there's a lot ritten on this too, because like
- 34:16Speaker 6: the SEC is taking our advice only so.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Like these are going to Yeah, why do you think
- 34:19Speaker 3: we're having herb on later?
- 34:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 34:21Speaker 2: Can I tell you all something too? Nobody cares about
- 34:24Speaker 2: the Boot the Golden the Golden Socks.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Well, I love Louis, you know we didn't U Arkansas
- 34:33Speaker 3: the Golden I know David Basar, guy who played for Arkansas,
- 34:37Speaker 3: great human being, one of my favorite guys. He's the
- 34:39Speaker 3: one that came up with the trophy, designed it and made.
- 34:43Speaker 2: It a deal.
- 34:44Speaker 3: It's fine, but Arkansas cares way more about it than
- 34:47Speaker 3: elseh Does I think it's fair to say it's a
- 34:50Speaker 3: heavy age trophy. I'll tell you that.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Do you think Arkansas Morning Sports show this conversation, LSU
- 34:59Speaker 2: is probably first one.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Yes they choose, I don't uh Missouri or l Shooter.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Now if I don't, I don't do they Oxford? Does
- 35:07Speaker 3: Oxford have like sports morning radio shows?
- 35:09Speaker 2: If they do?
- 35:10Speaker 3: L s U for sure is the first one that
- 35:14Speaker 3: they're saying it's hard not right?
- 35:15Speaker 5: Yeah right, Well yeah, so that was whenever I was
- 35:18Speaker 5: saying Mississippi.
- 35:19Speaker 3: State, I don't know, yeah right, I don't know, like
- 35:21Speaker 3: Missispy State like a given, like the that's gonna happen.
- 35:24Speaker 6: So L s U, right, I mean Missippi State, Old Miss,
- 35:27Speaker 6: like those will be the that'll be a permanent but
- 35:30Speaker 6: like outside.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Of that was the second one that I was like,
- 35:33Speaker 5: I'm adamant about to the other one's Old Miss. Because
- 35:36Speaker 5: when you talk about like your best memories in Tiger Stadium,
- 35:40Speaker 5: I think about that Ole Miss game last season, yeah,
- 35:45Speaker 5: and I think about a couple other ones. So for me,
- 35:49Speaker 5: It was the answer I gave Chris last night when
- 35:52Speaker 5: he sent the station survey.
- 35:53Speaker 4: It was A and m Ole Miss in Florida. So
- 35:56Speaker 4: I think we all agree on Florida.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Yes, Florida, like not even not even after discussion, like
- 36:03Speaker 3: I'll fight to the death.
- 36:04Speaker 7: Yeah, and then after that, I mean I would say,
- 36:08Speaker 7: you got to juggle between Ole Miss Auburn, Alabama, and
- 36:11Speaker 7: you said Texas A and M.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think I'm the only one so we
- 36:14Speaker 4: can take that one out.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I'm not totally against that. I'm not totally against Texas
- 36:19Speaker 3: A and M. It certainly has become a thing. Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 3: I think it certainly, even when like Gordy played like
- 36:24Speaker 3: he talks about like they had some good games with
- 36:26Speaker 3: Texas A and M like so like that was a
- 36:27Speaker 3: game that they played back in the.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Day for sure, and like hate all the yell leaders
- 36:31Speaker 2: is fun for the it is for us, right, Florida.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Okay, so they're in. So we got two teams.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Last night in the group text, I said Florida three times,
- 36:42Speaker 2: you did?
- 36:43Speaker 3: You did? I don't know if we're going to get
- 36:45Speaker 3: that one pass though home away neutral site game.
- 36:51Speaker 2: With a twenty eighteen playoff. You might play them three times.
- 36:53Speaker 3: You know, we'll meet you in Birmingham to play the
- 36:56Speaker 3: little elimination.
- 36:57Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, we're gonna play a Friday Saturday Sunday series.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Here's here's one of the questions we have to ask ourselves.
- 37:05Speaker 3: All Right, So for the Alabama portion of this, they
- 37:08Speaker 3: are going to play Auburn. I believe with almost certainty
- 37:13Speaker 3: they are going to play Tennessee.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Yep.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Would the SEC give them Auburn Tennessee and LSU? No,
- 37:20Speaker 3: I don't think they'll.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Give them Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt was there.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Look if you look, if you have Auburn Tennessee and
- 37:27Speaker 3: they throw you Vanderbilt who beat him last year, I know,
- 37:30Speaker 3: and that was their.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:34Speaker 3: I don't believe they'd give them Auburn Tennessee and LSU. Now,
- 37:37Speaker 3: the LSU Alabama game is a cash cow for TV networks.
- 37:42Speaker 3: I mean, it doesn't matter how good how bad. Over
- 37:45Speaker 3: the last fifteen years, that has been must watch TV,
- 37:48Speaker 3: probably even going back to seven when Saban first coached
- 37:53Speaker 3: against US back against LSU. Are they willing to get
- 37:57Speaker 3: rid of that? It's gonna be a.
- 37:57Speaker 7: Question who's going to make these decisions? Is this something
- 38:00Speaker 7: that they're going to league office. But certainly are they
- 38:04Speaker 7: going to rely on input, like, say, every team, give
- 38:06Speaker 7: us your top teams that you'd like to play and
- 38:08Speaker 7: if things match up and it works scheduling wise, like
- 38:11Speaker 7: A and M, who's the number one team you'd like
- 38:13Speaker 7: to play every single year?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Is it Texas? Is it l s Uh.
- 38:17Speaker 3: They're definitely going to take input. Yeah. No, I mean
- 38:20Speaker 3: even if they say they're not, they are. I mean
- 38:22Speaker 3: I've I've heard that they're going to Hey, I mean
- 38:24Speaker 3: they should. Hey, who, Like, we're not gonna we're not
- 38:27Speaker 3: promising you anything like it might not happen, but give
- 38:30Speaker 3: us your list, like who do you want to see
- 38:33Speaker 3: in your stadium every other year?
- 38:36Speaker 2: Right? Who?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Who you know? Who does your fan base want to
- 38:40Speaker 3: see every other year in your stadium as well? Yeah,
- 38:42Speaker 3: so they'll definitely have some input in this, like I would.
- 38:44Speaker 3: I would love to ask Scott. Hey, Scott, if they
- 38:46Speaker 3: asked you that question, who you going with? M?
- 38:49Speaker 2: Give me a call.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Athletic director. I'll text him. I don't know if I'm
- 38:54Speaker 3: cold calling here on the air.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Who are you choosing?
- 38:58Speaker 4: Answered?
- 38:58Speaker 2: What if he said he.
- 39:02Speaker 4: He's like?
- 39:04Speaker 2: What if he said Mississippi State Vanderbilt in Kentucky.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Scott's got too much great for that. Like literally, like
- 39:10Speaker 3: if Scott heard you even joke like you just did,
- 39:13Speaker 3: he'd be very sweet. Right now. Yeah, Like if I
- 39:17Speaker 3: was a joke everybody knowing Scot like I do, he's
- 39:20Speaker 3: gonna say. He's gonna say, like Florida, Alabama and A
- 39:23Speaker 3: and M probably probably.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 39:27Speaker 7: Man, are they going to give us Arkansas because of
- 39:31Speaker 7: that dumb trophy?
- 39:32Speaker 3: Now?
- 39:32Speaker 6: Because they already took that. It used to be the
- 39:34Speaker 6: last game of the year that's now been replaced twice.
- 39:36Speaker 6: I don't think anybody cares about the game.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Florida A and m an Old Miss. How do we
- 39:46Speaker 3: feel about that?
- 39:48Speaker 4: My original list.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Florida A and m an Old Miss.
- 39:52Speaker 6: I don't think you gotta have you gotta have one
- 39:54Speaker 6: of Alabama or Alburn one of them.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, you can't take away Bama. You just
- 40:00Speaker 2: like you mentioned, that's a cash gown.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Now.
- 40:02Speaker 3: My answer, and this was with my heart, This was
- 40:04Speaker 3: not what I think is going to happen. So I
- 40:07Speaker 3: sent this to Marler, who's putting together a station survey.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I said, Florida, Auburn, Obama.
- 40:12Speaker 2: That sent the exact Samon. That's the only one.
- 40:14Speaker 3: That's who I want.
- 40:15Speaker 2: That's the only one.
- 40:15Speaker 3: That's who I want. I want those three teams. Don't
- 40:18Speaker 3: sing it, bring it. I want it every year.
- 40:21Speaker 2: I want those.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Teams in Tiger Stadium every other year. Those games, like
- 40:26Speaker 3: I talked about, to open, immediately create incredible emotions with
- 40:31Speaker 3: every LSU fan. You can tell me exactly where you
- 40:34Speaker 3: were on seventeen different Florida games, on seventeen different Auburn games,
- 40:39Speaker 3: on seventeen different Alabama games. I would love it, and
- 40:42Speaker 3: you'd be like, Okay, well that's very tough. Okay, sec
- 40:45Speaker 3: is tough. Life's also tough. Winning championships is tough. Now,
- 40:49Speaker 3: the other six would kind of rotate in and there
- 40:52Speaker 3: would be years where you would have a bear of
- 40:54Speaker 3: a schedule. I understand that, but again, that is my
- 40:57Speaker 3: meathead brain saying I want to play those teams. Do
- 41:01Speaker 3: I think that's who you're going to get. I don't
- 41:03Speaker 3: don't think that's who you're gonna get. I think you're
- 41:05Speaker 3: going to you know, you're going to get two really
- 41:08Speaker 3: good teams and then you'll get one that's a little
- 41:10Speaker 3: bit easier. I don't think you'll have three teams like that.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I don't think that. I don't know that they'll include Florida,
- 41:17Speaker 3: which hurts hurts my heart. They've played every year since
- 41:20Speaker 3: the early seventies. It's become one of the craziest, wildest, unpredictable.
- 41:28Speaker 3: You never know, like something's gonna happen in those games
- 41:30Speaker 3: that's never happened on a football field, like throwing a
- 41:33Speaker 3: cleat and getting a fifteen yard penalty. I don't want
- 41:37Speaker 3: that to ever go away. But for Florida, we got
- 41:40Speaker 3: to think about it like we think about with Alabama.
- 41:42Speaker 3: For them, they're gonna play Georgia. That's certain. Tennessee gonna
- 41:49Speaker 3: be certain for them. That's a game they like to
- 41:51Speaker 3: play a lot like. You have to also think like
- 41:54Speaker 3: LSU's one of those schools that doesn't have the without
- 41:58Speaker 3: a doubt one hundred percent, are main rival. This is
- 42:01Speaker 3: who it is. LSU's got a lot of teams they
- 42:03Speaker 3: don't like. A lot of teams don't like LSU. But
- 42:05Speaker 3: there's other teams have Alabama has Alburn, they have each other,
- 42:10Speaker 3: Old miss Mississippi State they have each other. You know,
- 42:13Speaker 3: Florida has Georgia, they have each other. So Texas and
- 42:17Speaker 3: Texas A and M. Now, so you don't have that,
- 42:19Speaker 3: and so that's what makes it so intriguing with LSU
- 42:22Speaker 3: is kind of hate everybody, and everybody kind of hates
- 42:25Speaker 3: you old heads talking about Florida. How about we look
- 42:36Speaker 3: to the future and play Texas. Hey, we got called
- 42:40Speaker 3: old heads. So I think that Jayden Daniels game against Florida,
- 42:44Speaker 3: like was one of the best games of that year. Like,
- 42:46Speaker 3: that's not just an old head take. And hey, let's
- 42:48Speaker 3: play Texas too, why not.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 42:50Speaker 5: I don't think it's an old head take, but I
- 42:52Speaker 5: do think that, like whenever I gave mine, I'm thinking
- 42:56Speaker 5: of Like I think Texas A and M is a
- 42:59Speaker 5: more recent rivalry than Florida, Auburn, Bama, Ole miss because
- 43:03Speaker 5: they've played forever, and like text A and M has two.
- 43:05Speaker 5: But like you said, after the seven overtime game, it
- 43:09Speaker 5: really became like a thing.
- 43:11Speaker 3: All right, we gotta take a break. I agree, I
- 43:12Speaker 3: mean it took that, but once that happened, certainly a thing.
- 43:16Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break more OTB. But when
- 43:18Speaker 3: we come back one of four five ESPN better routes
- 43:21Speaker 3: off the bench, all right, go to gcop net dot Com,
- 43:27Speaker 3: Gulf Coast Office Products. They are the leader in Louisiana.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Like it doesn't matter how big your business is, they
- 43:34Speaker 3: can be able to handle it right. You look, you
- 43:36Speaker 3: gotta copy, you gotta print, you gotta do all that right,
- 43:38Speaker 3: you gotta do all those things to run a major business.
- 43:41Speaker 3: And again, like it doesn't matter how big your business is,
- 43:44Speaker 3: they are ready for you for locations throughout the state
- 43:46Speaker 3: of Louisiana. So many different things they can help you
- 43:49Speaker 3: out with the Pelicans, the Saints, LSU, the Raging Cajun's

- 43:58Speaker 7: Gulf Coast Office Product a Louisiana company that started small
- 44:03Speaker 7: right here roots in Louisiana, has grown to nationwide distributions.

- 44:10Speaker 7: assured that they have a solution for anything that you're
- 44:13Speaker 7: copying and printed ees. And that is really the lifeline
- 44:15Speaker 7: of any office operator. If you're working in office, you
- 44:17Speaker 7: know how important that is and that it's always working.
- 44:20Speaker 7: They have a local person there to fix it. There's
- 44:22Speaker 7: ever an issue, you gcop net.
- 44:27Speaker 1: From players to Legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown l s
- 44:30Speaker 1: U football like only champions can.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Now you're playing the hits is a hit.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Obviously it's funk.
- 44:55Speaker 3: I'll also say in uh shout out to my guy
- 44:57Speaker 3: Hump Palmer bringing me the sports properties swag bag. Appreciate
- 45:02Speaker 3: that Hunt. But also, like you said, I hope you
- 45:04Speaker 3: enjoyed the Texas Bowl. I'll have to remind you, like
- 45:07Speaker 3: Lshu's won the second most national championships outside of Alabama,
- 45:10Speaker 3: it's them in Ohio State that are tied with three
- 45:12Speaker 3: over last twenty five years. The problem is lshu's off years,
- 45:16Speaker 3: they don't go to the playoff. They do go to
- 45:19Speaker 3: the Texas Bowl, so that is different. I'll agree with
- 45:22Speaker 3: you there, But also you've won three played for four.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Nobody outside of Alabama has more, and Alabama standard is
- 45:32Speaker 3: never going to happen again in college football. It's not
- 45:35Speaker 3: gonna have what Nick Saban did there. They went nine
- 45:38Speaker 3: and three last year, They're probably gonna go nine to three,
- 45:40Speaker 3: ten to two this year. Maybe that's never gonna happen again.
- 45:43Speaker 3: So maybe the consistency of getting to that part of
- 45:48Speaker 3: being in the playoff every single year. But again, second
- 45:50Speaker 3: most national championships in the last come on twenty five years,
- 45:54Speaker 3: those three letters mean a lot, maybe more to us
- 45:58Speaker 3: off the bench. Thank you though for their close for real,
- 46:01Speaker 3: for real, appreciate that here all right, go to your
