Speaker 1: When we have good news, the market should go up,
• 0:03
Speaker 1: and we have bad news, the market should go down,
• 0:06
Speaker 1: and we'll take care of inflation as it comes. We
• 0:08
Speaker 1: can take care of it. I took care of it.
• 0:10
Speaker 1: I had the worst inflation in history with Biden. Aside
• 0:13
Speaker 1: from borders and everything else that we had to take
• 0:15
Speaker 1: care of, but we had the worst inflation in history.
• 0:18
Speaker 1: And now for the last three months, as you know,
• 0:21
Speaker 1: it was one point three percent.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Good Wednesday morning. It's so nice to have you with
• 0:29
Speaker 3: us on the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got
• 0:31
Speaker 3: several big stories for you. They all involved Donald Trump
• 0:34
Speaker 3: sitting down and talking about major issues that affect you.
• 0:39
Speaker 3: Also talking about foreign policy with a ran talking about
• 0:43
Speaker 3: no one coming to the borders, Trump talking about sanctuary
• 0:46
Speaker 3: cities and also interest rates and how they could affect you,
• 0:50
Speaker 3: and even talking about the fraud in Minnesota. It's the
• 0:54
Speaker 3: forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now. Story
• 0:58
Speaker 3: number one, President Donald Trump doing it another sit down interview,
• 1:01
Speaker 3: talking about a wide range of issues, and we're going
• 1:05
Speaker 3: to get into many of those, but one of the
• 1:06
Speaker 3: ones that was very important to the president was dealing
• 1:09
Speaker 3: with Iran, saying that Iran would be foolish not to
• 1:13
Speaker 3: make a nuclear missile deal. He also talked about sending
• 1:17
Speaker 3: a second aircraft carrier to the region, Trump warning Iran,
• 1:22
Speaker 3: don't be foolish and get a deal done now. The
• 1:25
Speaker 3: comments landed hours after Axios reported that Trump is considering
• 1:30
Speaker 3: sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East.
• 1:33
Speaker 3: If negotiations collapse, either we will make a deal or
• 1:37
Speaker 3: we will not have a deal, and we'll have to
• 1:39
Speaker 3: do something very tough, like last time. Trump told Axos,
• 1:43
Speaker 3: adding we have an armada that is heading there, and
• 1:46
Speaker 3: another one might be going. A US official also confirmed
• 1:51
Speaker 3: discussions about deploying another strike group, Axos reported, in addition
• 1:55
Speaker 3: to the USS Abraham Lincoln in its strike group. And
• 1:58
Speaker 3: this is clearly a that Trump is framed as both
• 2:02
Speaker 3: leverage and the alternative to diplomacy. In that context, Last
• 2:08
Speaker 3: Time is a direct reference to the Operation Midnight Hammer,
• 2:12
Speaker 3: the US strikes on Iran's nuclear sykes roughly six months
• 2:15
Speaker 3: ago to cap the twelve day Israel Iran War, a
• 2:20
Speaker 3: precedent Trump is explicitly holding up as the consequences of
• 2:24
Speaker 3: Iranian defiance that threat of escalation is colliding with Tehran's
• 2:31
Speaker 3: declared red lines. Irana's publicly insisted negotiations be limited strictly
• 2:37
Speaker 3: to nuclear enrichment levels, not enrichment itself, and has rejected
• 2:42
Speaker 3: any discussion of missiles or regional proxy forces that would
• 2:47
Speaker 3: be them supporting Hesblahamas and other terrorist organizations. And that's
• 2:52
Speaker 3: where the fueling of the skepticism in Washington as well
• 2:55
Speaker 3: as in Israel in Jerusalem that a comprehensive deal is
• 3:00
Speaker 3: well maybe not even realistic with Iran. The Israeli Prime
• 3:04
Speaker 3: Minister net yahoo is also set to meet with President
• 3:07
Speaker 3: Trump today at the White House, with Iram being the
• 3:11
Speaker 3: first and foremost issue on the agenda. Netnyahu said he
• 3:15
Speaker 3: has departed for Washington, adding he will represent the essential
• 3:20
Speaker 3: principles he argues are vital not only for Israel, but
• 3:25
Speaker 3: to everyone around the world who wants peace and security
• 3:29
Speaker 3: in the Middle East. Now. This also comes as US
• 3:32
Speaker 3: Ambassador to Israel Mike Kakabi, speaking before boarding a flight
• 3:35
Speaker 3: to Washington, Netnya, who said there is quote extraordinary alignment
• 3:40
Speaker 3: between Israel and the United States on Iran, while stressing
• 3:43
Speaker 3: the outcome ultimately depends on Tehran's choices. On the Iranian side,
• 3:50
Speaker 3: officials moved quickly to reinforce their position. The Iranian Foreign
• 3:54
Speaker 3: minister said Tuesday that Israel is attempting to sabotage diplomacy
• 4:00
Speaker 3: and warned US officials not to allowed outside actors of
• 4:03
Speaker 3: shape American foreign policy, while also criticizing new sanctions announced
• 4:08
Speaker 3: after the Oman meetings took place. Now, this isn't all
• 4:12
Speaker 3: that the President dealt with today. In the interview, he
• 4:16
Speaker 3: also talked about the border and how important it is
• 4:19
Speaker 3: that we have a secure border. Here's what President Trump
• 4:22
Speaker 3: had to say on Fox Business with Larry Kudlow.
• 4:25
Speaker 1: We have the strongest border in the history of our country.
• 4:29
Speaker 1: We have democrat people giving us the statistics that no
• 4:34
Speaker 1: people have come into a country illegally in the last
• 4:38
Speaker 1: eight months. Even I can't believe that totally, but I'll
• 4:41
Speaker 1: take it. But essentially, no people have come in. Nobody's
• 4:44
Speaker 1: coming through a border. They only come in legally. We've
• 4:47
Speaker 1: done an unbelievable job. I don't think we've given any
• 4:50
Speaker 1: credit one of the problems.
• 4:51
Speaker 4: That I find in politics.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: So I got elected to a large extent on the border,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: I've done such a good job in the border that
• 5:00
Speaker 1: nobody wants to talk about it anymore. Like when I
• 5:02
Speaker 1: mentioned border, sir, they don't want to hear about it.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: You solve that problem. I don't get any credit for anything.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: I mean, I do these things. You would say I've
• 5:09
Speaker 1: done a great job at the border, right nobody coming in.
• 5:12
Speaker 1: We have a strong border. Drugs are way down, you know.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: By knocking out those boats. We have dropped drugs spent
• 5:19
Speaker 1: about thirty three percent.
• 5:22
Speaker 4: And now we're going to start on land.
• 5:23
Speaker 1: We had to do the boats first because they would
• 5:26
Speaker 1: go immediately to the boats. If you hit them on land,
• 5:28
Speaker 1: they go to the boat. So we do the boats first.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: Now there are no boats. Now we're going to hit
• 5:32
Speaker 1: them on the land. We're going to hit them very
• 5:33
Speaker 1: hard on land. We've knocked down drugs every one of
• 5:37
Speaker 1: those boats. It's nasty, but every one of those boats.
• 5:39
Speaker 4: That shut down in the seas you've.
• 5:42
Speaker 1: Been watching it, we saved twenty five thousand American lives.
• 5:46
Speaker 4: So we've done a great job. The problem is that
• 5:49
Speaker 4: I'm not sure that people see it. Maybe we have
• 5:53
Speaker 4: a public relations problem.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Because I don't know that we get it out the
• 5:57
Speaker 1: way shop because I don't think anybody had a more
• 6:00
Speaker 1: successful first year as a president than I have with
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: all of the.
• 6:04
  Speaker 4: Things we did.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: And then in the previous administration, my previous my first term,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: I rebuilt the military and that's why we had venezuela
• 6:14
Speaker 1: tremendous success. As you know, we have a massive flotilla
• 6:18
Speaker 1: right now going over to Iran.
• 6:21
Speaker 4: We'll see what happens. I think they want to make
• 6:23
  Speaker 4: a deal. I think they'd be foolish if they didn't.
• 6:25
Speaker 1: We took out their nuclear power last time, and we'll
• 6:28
Speaker 1: have to see we take out more this time.
• 6:30
Speaker 5: Do you think a deal with you Iran?
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: Now?
• 6:32
Speaker 3: The President also talked about the issue with sanctuary cities
• 6:36
Speaker 3: as well, And here's where you had to say about
• 6:38
Speaker 3: the criminals that are being protected by so many liberals.
• 6:42
Speaker 5: It just seems to me, in general, we're large. If
• 6:46
Speaker 5: you abide by the immigration laws, stop all this sanctuary
• 6:51
Speaker 5: city business, that's the most affordable thing possible you save.
• 6:56
Speaker 5: I mean, I look at what's happened in New York, Okay,
• 7:00
Speaker 5: what Mayor Adams had to spend. He's spent a fortune
• 7:03
Speaker 5: on ten twelve billion dollars, maybe fifteen billion dollars because
• 7:07
Speaker 5: he was giving money away to illegals, many of whom
• 7:10
Speaker 5: are criminal illegals. I mean, it seems to me if
• 7:13
Speaker 5: those laws are upheld, if sanctuary cities, for example, are
• 7:18
Speaker 5: defunded some as you have talked about. Lindsay Graham has
• 7:21
Speaker 5: talked about, that's an affordability issue. There are huge savings
• 7:24
Speaker 5: there and you can go after the waste fraud of them.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: So Linds is really hot on getting rid of sanctuary cities.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: I'm backing them one hundred percent. We got to do it.
• 7:34
Speaker 4: We're hot, and it's sort of the Security.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Act you could call it, but we have to do it.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: You know, sanctuary cities are only good for people. It's
• 7:42
Speaker 1: sanctuary for criminals. Okay, they are protecting criminals. Those states
• 7:46
Speaker 1: could hand those people over to us, they crime would
• 7:50
Speaker 1: go down. We'd get them out of the country. They
• 7:53
Speaker 1: can't do what we could do. We can get them
• 7:55
Speaker 1: out of the country. They can't do it. But there's
• 7:58
Speaker 1: sanctuaries for criminals. They have the word, they killers, have
• 8:00
Speaker 1: drug lords. They have trend de Iragua all over the place.
• 8:05
  Speaker 4: Now.
• 8:06
Speaker 3: President Trump was also asked about the Minnesota fraud scandal,
• 8:10
Speaker 3: and here's what he had to say about that.
• 8:13
Speaker 5: So you're going to still go after the whole waste fraud.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, in Minnesota. Take a look at Minnesota. So
• 8:19
Speaker 1: we think it's at least nineteen billion dollars of fraud, medical,
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: every fraud.
• 8:26
Speaker 4: Somalia has come in here.
• 8:27
Speaker 1: What they've done to our country, these people they've come
• 8:30
Speaker 1: into our country, and what they've done with that fake congresswoman,
• 8:35
Speaker 1: she's so bad. No, we're going to get to the
• 8:38
Speaker 1: bottom of it. We have the best, We have the
• 8:40
Speaker 1: best people in the maybe in the whole country looking
• 8:44
Speaker 1: at that. We're looking at California too, because California is worse.
• 8:48
Speaker 4: But you know, if we.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: Find fifty percent, you know, look, they've been robbing and
• 8:54
Speaker 1: ripping off this country for many years.
• 8:56
  Speaker 4: For decades.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: Right, if we find fifty percent of what's happened, we
• 9:02
Speaker 1: have a balanced budget without cutting anybody.
• 9:05
Speaker 4: We have a balanced budget, and we'll find it.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: Minnesota's very corrupt, California is very corrupt.
• 9:11
Speaker 4: A lot of states are very corrupt.
• 9:14
Speaker 3: You think about the tax issue there, He says, we
• 9:17
Speaker 3: have a balanced budget. If we can just cut out
• 9:20
Speaker 3: half of the corruption. That's how much is out there
• 9:24
Speaker 3: that is being wasted of your tax dollars as we speak.
• 9:28
Speaker 3: The President also had this to say about the future
• 9:32
Speaker 3: in this country for Americans when it comes to home
• 9:35
Speaker 3: ownership and interest rates. And also he was asked about
• 9:40
Speaker 3: the FED chair pick.
• 9:41
  Speaker 4: Take a listen.
• 9:42
Speaker 5: Do you know you wanted Kevin Warsh so officially it
• 9:46
Speaker 5: was two fridays ago, but when did you Well.
• 9:48
Speaker 1: I made a mistake. He was a runner up if you.
• 9:52
Speaker 5: Want to see, he was a finalist.
• 9:53
  Speaker 4: Yeah, he was.
• 9:54
Speaker 1: And I made a mistake because I had somebody that
• 9:56
Speaker 1: was my secretary of the Treasury. I wanted him so badly,
• 10:01
Speaker 1: so badly, and you know, I didn't feel good about him.
• 10:06
Speaker 1: But sometimes you listen to people, and there was a mistake.
• 10:09
Speaker 1: It was really a big mistake. But I think we're
• 10:13
Speaker 1: going to do something that's really spectacular. And then Biden
• 10:15
Speaker 1: renewed him, which was shocking to me. That was bad
• 10:17
Speaker 1: because Biden renewed him. I said, oh boy, this is lousy,
• 10:20
Speaker 1: because if I win, I'm going to inherit this guy for.
• 10:23
Speaker 4: A period of time.
• 10:24
Speaker 5: Can I just raise one point?
• 10:25
Speaker 4: All he has to do his lower interest rates?
• 10:27
Speaker 1: Interest rates should be lower, you know, every point is
• 10:31
Speaker 1: six hundred billion dollars. Think of that six hundred billion
• 10:36
Speaker 1: dollars all he has to do. If we went down
• 10:38
Speaker 1: two points, we don't have a deficit anymore. And that's
• 10:42
Speaker 1: without cutting and it's just a paper charge when you
• 10:44
Speaker 1: think about it, it's a paper charge. We should be
• 10:48
Speaker 1: the lowest interest rate in the world. The reason I
• 10:50
Speaker 1: bring up the Switzerland because we should be lower than
• 10:53
Speaker 1: We should be lower than everybody.
• 10:54
Speaker 4: You know, Switzerland's like just about the lowest.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: If I charge them tariffs, they would not be doing
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: very well.
• 11:03
Speaker 4: They would not be doing very well.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: I treated him very nicely, actually, but they would be
• 11:07
Speaker 1: and many other countries would not be doing very well.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: So I'm being very judicious to put it mildly, but
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: his country should.
• 11:16
Speaker 4: Have the lowest interest rates in the world. We keep
• 11:18
  Speaker 4: the world going.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: We allowed you know how many different When I got here,
• 11:21
Speaker 1: almost every single country in the world that we did
• 11:25
Speaker 1: business with made money off of us. We didn't make money.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: We had deficits with everybody. And I call that a loss.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: You know, a lot of people say, oh, it doesn't matter,
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: it doesn't matter a.
• 11:34
Speaker 4: Lot to me. I call it a loss.
• 11:36
Speaker 1: So we are losing money with every single country in
• 11:39
Speaker 1: the world, just about there are a couple.
• 11:41
Speaker 4: I don't know what happened. Maybe we got lucky, but
• 11:44
  Speaker 4: we had the.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: Worst negotiators, and we had presidents that were allows e
• 11:49
Speaker 1: business people. And you know, I liked Ronald Reagan. But
• 11:51
Speaker 1: Ronald Reagan was bad on trade. Everybody has problems. He
• 11:55
Speaker 1: was not good on trade. He allowed Japan to come
• 11:57
Speaker 1: in and Germany to come in. But we both like
• 12:00
Speaker 1: and he was a good president, but he wasn't.
• 12:02
  Speaker 4: Good on trade.
• 12:02
Speaker 5: To cut my teeth with him, but Bob Leithheiser would
• 12:05
Speaker 5: disagree with you. I don't want to spend too much time.
• 12:08
Speaker 5: Reagan was tougher than you think.
• 12:10
Speaker 4: On you only on trade.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: I think, well, he had the big, big shootout with
• 12:15
Speaker 1: Japan and he folded and they came in and took
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: our car market.
• 12:21
Speaker 4: Can I go back. I'm a fan of.
• 12:22
Speaker 1: His and I thought he was just sort of had
• 12:25
Speaker 1: a great presence. But on trade, if you look at
• 12:29
Speaker 1: every president we have over the last fifty years was
• 12:33
Speaker 1: bad on trade. Every single one.
• 12:36
Speaker 5: Well they didn't understand.
• 12:37
Speaker 4: But I'm not bad on trade. I'm real good on trade.
• 12:40
Speaker 3: You're arguing the president talking there not only about trade
• 12:43
Speaker 3: but also saying that US should have the lowest interest
• 12:46
Speaker 3: rates in the world. Interest rates should be lower, and
• 12:50
Speaker 3: that means more Americans can afford to buy homes and
• 12:53
Speaker 3: other things. This is the Trump doctrine on full display.
• 12:58
Speaker 3: And he's also doing interviews with whoever wants to talk to,
• 13:01
Speaker 3: another example of the present being so open about what
• 13:06
Speaker 3: he wants for this country.
• 13:07
