- 0:00Speaker 1: A whole bunch of crap that doesn't fit together. It's
- 0:01Speaker 1: one more thing.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I'm strong and getty.
- 0:05Speaker 1: One more thing, a couple of different things to bring
- 0:12Speaker 1: you first. This from the world of Monster Trucks. Is
- 0:16Speaker 1: that right, Michael? Here we go. Oh my oh no,
- 0:25Speaker 1: holy crap, Oh my god, no way, someone's cars got
- 0:30Speaker 1: Oh my god, Oh my god. I hope no one's car.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Is messed up.
- 0:35Speaker 3: So what happened to? Yeah, go ahead, Michael.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Monster truck is doing its thing and a wheel comes
- 0:41Speaker 2: off and goes and hits the car in the parking lot.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Hell, the big giant monster truck wheel. Yeah, that had
- 0:49Speaker 1: hit a person. Oh, they'd be dead.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Holy smokes. Did it do damage to the car? Yeah?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I believe So, okay, crush two cars, crushed two cars.
- 1:01Speaker 3: There we go. But maybe we can edit this together
- 1:04Speaker 3: so it's coherent, so.
- 1:06Speaker 1: You believe it it did or it crushed two cars.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I already seen the video trucks. Oh oh are you talking?
- 1:14Speaker 1: It's her video?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Go ahead, Gatie, No, it's his clip, but I watched it,
- 1:18Speaker 2: So you go. The truck hits a ramp, comes down
- 1:21Speaker 2: to land and the front tire just goes flying, bounces
- 1:25Speaker 2: over the wall of the stands into the parking lot
- 1:27Speaker 2: and takes out two cars.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, it the Thank god that didn't land
- 1:31Speaker 1: on you know, a family walking to their cars, right, jeez.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Oh lord. Yeah, because that that sort of thing is
- 1:36Speaker 3: incredibly dangerous. That's why all the big tracks have giant
- 1:39Speaker 3: fences around them.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Now, yeah, I am that they don't for monster truck rallies.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I rode in a monster truck just Friday night for
- 1:48Speaker 1: so first time in my life. Joe shakes his head. Oh,
- 1:51Speaker 1: oh yeah. We were at the California State Fair and
- 1:55Speaker 1: for some reason, Dodge was giving monster truck rides to
- 1:59Speaker 1: get you to look at their vehicle. Something minimas so
- 2:01Speaker 1: cool fair. The kids climbed up the giant ladder into
- 2:05Speaker 1: the monster truck and it took you around a track once,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and that was.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Kind of fun. How about it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: You're really high? Yeah, Michael, you.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Were in a demolition derby years ago. I was, uh yes,
- 2:20Speaker 3: Getting back to the trucks and wrecks and stuff like that.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I haven't told this story for ages. I'll give you
- 2:26Speaker 3: a short version of the one time, the one and
- 2:28Speaker 3: only time I've ever been to the Indy five hundred.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I was sitting there with my buddy Paul at the time,
- 2:34Speaker 3: and we were sitting next to some nice people, a couple,
- 2:38Speaker 3: but we were We were right at the entrance to
- 2:41Speaker 3: pitt Row more or less right where the track gets
- 2:46Speaker 3: divided between the track and the entrance, and probably well
- 2:50Speaker 3: now that I picture, probably seventy five yards past that anyway,
- 2:54Speaker 3: So there were getting ready for the race and chatting
- 2:57Speaker 3: about it, and it becomes clear she is very, very
- 3:00Speaker 3: concerned about cars wrecking and them being in danger, and
- 3:06Speaker 3: like to the point of, what are you talking about.
- 3:09Speaker 3: There are like a quarter of a million people here
- 3:12Speaker 3: excited about the race and you're obsessing over that. And
- 3:15Speaker 3: he was teasing her a little bit about it, and
- 3:17Speaker 3: we were teasing her a little bit about it too,
- 3:21Speaker 3: about oh yeah, we better be ready to dodge, you
- 3:23Speaker 3: never know, blah blah blah. And it was in the
- 3:26Speaker 3: first five laps of the race somebody wrecked right into
- 3:31Speaker 3: the dividing pylon thingy that separates the track from the
- 3:36Speaker 3: off ramp thing the entrance to pitt Rope. Car explodes,
- 3:40Speaker 3: oh in depart not literally a fireball, but every part
- 3:43Speaker 3: of it went in a different direction. All that was
- 3:46Speaker 3: left was the cockpit, the protective you know, mini cockpit
- 3:51Speaker 3: that the driver's actually in that goes sliding down the track.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Nobody can tell if he's alive or dead. There's debris
- 3:57Speaker 3: flying everywhere, including around us. She broke down, weeping, and
- 4:03Speaker 3: they left. Wow.
- 4:05Speaker 2: She spoke that into reality.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Wow, she spoke it into reality.
- 4:08Speaker 3: She manifested. Oprah, Is that what happened?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yes, yes, she did, precisely.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Oh we felt pretty bad about that.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll bet oh, I'll bet.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Uh.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It was fine, by the way, The driver was fine.
- 4:23Speaker 3: The car just disintegrated. All that was left was the cockpit.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It went sliding, kind of whirling down the track for
- 4:30Speaker 3: five hundred yards and it comes to her rest after
- 4:33Speaker 3: about five seconds. You see a little movement. The guy
- 4:35Speaker 3: was taking off his harness. He steps out of the
- 4:37Speaker 3: the cockpit. It was amazing.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So as not to hang you out to dry, Michael, Yes,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I did drive in a demolition, deary, several years ago.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Have you ever done that, Katie?
- 4:46Speaker 3: No?
- 4:47Speaker 2: All of this is on my bucket list, though, so
- 4:48Speaker 2: I am.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I got contacted by the local the Dition Mayfair, and
- 4:53Speaker 1: they called up one and I found to drive on
- 4:55Speaker 1: their cars to help promote the demo derby or whatever.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So they built a car for me and I went
- 5:00Speaker 1: and drove it and it was it was a very cool experience.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But uh, the weirdest part of it for me was
- 5:07Speaker 1: like I wasn't scared or anything like that. I mean, yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I've never heard I've never seen anybody hurting a demo
- 5:12Speaker 1: derby or I've witnessed a bunch of or anything, so
- 5:14Speaker 1: I had no fear whatsoever. But I know we were
- 5:17Speaker 1: all going to bang into each other, and we did.
- 5:19Speaker 1: We banged in each other and my car lasted quite
- 5:21Speaker 1: a while because they built it really well, and then
- 5:22Speaker 1: it was over. But on the way home I had
- 5:25Speaker 1: some sort of lingering PTSD whereas like every car that
- 5:28Speaker 1: would go by, I'd be like like flinch. It was weird.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I gotten bashed so many times. I was like ah ah,
- 5:36Speaker 1: And I don't usually react to stuff that way, but
- 5:38Speaker 1: it was, I don't know, it's weird. They do hit
- 5:42Speaker 1: you really hard.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember you sing at the time. It was
- 5:45Speaker 3: it was pretty violent, very like sort us in your
- 5:49Speaker 3: neck and back and stuff for a long time.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah, for trying to hold your head up and everything,
- 5:53Speaker 1: like that you get bashed around pretty fun though.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I mean, are you like strapped in though?
- 5:57Speaker 1: I mean you strapped in? You gotta have money? Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: you got.
- 6:01Speaker 3: A head like the planet Neptune. See, your poor neck
- 6:03Speaker 3: was really overmatched. All right, right, my.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Son was telling me about my big head the other day. Again,
- 6:10Speaker 1: we're doing a bunch of things that don't fit together.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Here's one. We are talking about sports betting on the
- 6:15Speaker 1: Armstrong and Getty radio show. Somebody texted this, I've never
- 6:18Speaker 1: heard this before, have you. There are Instagram accounts that
- 6:23Speaker 1: give detailed bet info on the line of specific women
- 6:27Speaker 1: in the w NBA based on their menstrual cycles. Apparently
- 6:32Speaker 1: it's quite accurate and a pretty easy way to predict
- 6:35Speaker 1: various ladies' points and rebounds. Does that make any sense
- 6:38Speaker 1: to you, Kaeddy.
- 6:39Speaker 2: You're a woman, Actually, it totally does.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Really if it's your a lady, time the curse.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Because some girls they get hit with cramps really bad,
- 6:47Speaker 2: so they can't perform as well, or you know, certain things,
- 6:50Speaker 2: some things keep you up at night when you're that's happening.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You're a basketball player, so do you think your performance
- 6:54Speaker 1: dropped off during LT?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Oh?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Totally interesting.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Actually, especially if I was going through the cramping period
- 7:01Speaker 2: when we had to play a game, it was not
- 7:03Speaker 2: It was not comfortable at all.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Oh I bet yeah, so yeah, wow, Wow, that is
- 7:08Speaker 3: a hell of aar inkle on sports betting.
- 7:10Speaker 1: How Come I've never heard that about the Olympics or
- 7:12Speaker 1: anything like that, the springing. I mean, they never lay out,
- 7:14Speaker 1: you know whatever, our great phenom female gold medal, hopeful,
- 7:19Speaker 1: but unfortunately it does match up with her cycle, so
- 7:23Speaker 1: it's going to be tough for her tonight. And how
- 7:24Speaker 1: come I've never heard that?
- 7:28Speaker 3: Well, because there's a perfectly reasonable scientific answer to that.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Go ahead your thoughts first.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Okay, well it's mine's not scientific, But I know from this.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Whole ir present science.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Oh, I know, from this whole IVF thing I've been
- 7:42Speaker 2: going through. They've actually used birth control and other medications
- 7:47Speaker 2: to alter when my cycle takes place. So maybe there's
- 7:51Speaker 2: a chance that they have, like if it's the Olympics
- 7:53Speaker 2: or something like that, they could prepare a couple months
- 7:56Speaker 2: early and actually change the date of the cycle so
- 7:58Speaker 2: it doesn't happen.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Okay, day to the event. Here are your two notes
- 8:02Speaker 3: from science. Number one, the COVID came from a panglin.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Mating with a bat in a wet market had absolutely
- 8:10Speaker 3: nothing to do with a lab. Secondly, super elite female
- 8:15Speaker 3: athletes don't often don't menstruyate it at all, or their
- 8:19Speaker 3: cycle is extremely irregular because they work out like fiends
- 8:25Speaker 3: and their diets and the rest of it. So okay, yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 3: I want the drug route, but now that might be
- 8:32Speaker 3: in play too. I would if I'm training all my
- 8:36Speaker 3: life for the Olympic Trials or the Olympic Games and
- 8:39Speaker 3: the timing just ends up being bad, Let's go ahead
- 8:42Speaker 3: hand me those bills.
- 8:43Speaker 2: That now that you say that, though, you're right, because
- 8:45Speaker 2: I remember when I was on like three different basketball
- 8:47Speaker 2: teams and I was training really hard. Everything was off.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah that makes yeah, that makes sense.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Otherwise you end up the Olympic scene on your moody and.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Slow, eating all the chocolate right before you run.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Trying about something your best friend said, and you finished fourth.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Those are bad combinations.
- 9:04Speaker 3: It's a long day.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It is a long day. One other thing I'm gonna
- 9:08Speaker 1: end up not doing I'll do on the radio show
- 9:09Speaker 1: tomorrow because we ended up talking longer than I thought,
- 9:12Speaker 1: is this article about man keeping. We all like the
- 9:15Speaker 1: they got to make up phrases. Do you know what
- 9:17Speaker 1: man keeping is? Off the top of your head, Kato.
- 9:20Speaker 2: No.
- 9:22Speaker 1: As male social circles shrink, female partners say they have
- 9:25Speaker 1: to meet more social and emotional needs of men. So
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's having to deal with men's emotions since they don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: have friends. According to this article, and as I think
- 9:35Speaker 1: Jonah Goldberg pointed out in his tweet, so forever it
- 9:39Speaker 1: was we we aren't emotional enough, We don't share emotions.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Now we show our emotions too much, and you have
- 9:45Speaker 1: to learn a skill called man keeping to deal with
- 9:47Speaker 1: their emotions. What is it that you want?
- 9:53Speaker 3: I hate honestly the yeah, yeah. The premise of the
- 9:58Speaker 3: article is not insane, but Jonah makes an excellent point.
- 10:02Speaker 3: It makes me just want to go join a what
- 10:04Speaker 3: do you? What do you I'm not going to join
- 10:06Speaker 3: a convent. I'm gon, dude, where do the monks go?
- 10:09Speaker 3: What the monks? No? A muncatorium? What do you call
- 10:15Speaker 3: that temple? A monk of poloosa. I'm gonna go have
- 10:19Speaker 3: me a monk of palooza. Yeah, I'm tired of the
- 10:21Speaker 3: modern world. It's just I'm just not like I'm disgusted
- 10:24Speaker 3: or horrified or angered, No, just just exhausted.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Just shall we never talk about our feelings then when
- 10:30Speaker 1: we start, If you do start now, I've got to go.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Would you plates go hang out with some friends or something.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm tired of this man keeping job that I've been given.
- 10:39Speaker 3: You guys just can't win.
- 10:41Speaker 1: True, true that unlesson learned early in life, you can't win.
- 10:48Speaker 1: This is a game you can't win. So give up.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Geez. Well, wait for the monster truck tire of fate
- 10:58Speaker 3: to come your way. It will sooner or later.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Dive in front of that bouncing tire your only way out. Well,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I guess that's it.
