- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show, delivering the news before it's news
- 0:05Speaker 1: on 710WOR.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Well, hey, President Trump, a brutal travel schedule. He's at
- 0:17Speaker 2: the White House yesterday, middle of the afternoon, he leaves,
- 0:20Speaker 2: jumps on Air Force One, flies to Alaska, that is
- 0:24Speaker 2: one long flight, does a huge rally in Alaska last night.
- 0:28Speaker 2: From Alaska... Gets back on Air Force One. They fly
- 0:31Speaker 2: to Las Vegas. He spends the night there from Las Vegas.
- 0:34Speaker 2: He's heading to Arizona today. And a lot of travel.
- 0:39Speaker 2: A lot of travel. He brought a lot of people
- 0:40Speaker 2: on the plane with him. A lot of Cabinet. Lutnick
- 0:43Speaker 2: and others. And Katie Zachariah, the press conference.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Excuse me a second.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Oh, oh.
- 0:53Speaker 2: TV today. The Kudlow Show today at 4 o'clock. Let
- 0:58Speaker 2: me just tell them yes. So make sure you watch
- 1:02Speaker 2: that show every day. Very important show. You'll learn more
- 1:05Speaker 2: watching that. Larry Kudlow, every day, 4 o'clock. It looks
- 1:08Speaker 2: like I'll be on today. But anyway, he was pretty
- 1:13Speaker 2: good in Alaska and talking about, you know, pipelines are
- 1:16Speaker 2: a big deal up there. You know, a lot of
- 1:18Speaker 2: times you have a deal done, all you need is
- 1:20Speaker 2: a permit. Permits take you 25 years.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I just told Dan backstage, every single permit that you need,
- 1:29Speaker 4: you can start tonight.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, you know, a lot of states, California is
- 1:33Speaker 2: a great example. It's like $ 6. 50 a gallon. It's like $ 2,
- 1:38Speaker 2: $ 3 more a gallon always in California. One reason is
- 1:40Speaker 2: they don't have any pipelines. We have tons and tons
- 1:46Speaker 2: and tons of oil. We produce more oil than anybody
- 1:49Speaker 2: in the world. Can't get it there. There's no pipelines. Why?
- 1:51Speaker 2: Because California, all the green, climate change, whatever, they block pipelines.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I don't know what that has to do with the climate.
- 1:58Speaker 2: But they blocked any development of pipelines. They won't allow
- 2:01Speaker 2: any refineries. So instead of just simply getting oil through
- 2:04Speaker 2: the pipelines all day long, they have to import it
- 2:08Speaker 2: from other countries by ship. That's why it's so much.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Besides the fact that it's California, it's a blue state,
- 2:15Speaker 2: and they tax every gallon of gas like crazy. And
- 2:20Speaker 2: they put all kinds of fees on it. But those
- 2:23Speaker 2: pipelines are important. And one of the things the Biden
- 2:25Speaker 2: administration did was stop it all. or require ridiculous permits
- 2:29Speaker 2: to get it all done. But President, a big hit
- 2:33Speaker 2: in Alaska. Now, the new press secretary, I'm blanking out
- 2:39Speaker 2: her name, Katie Zakaria, Katie Zakaria is on the trip.
- 2:46Speaker 2: She was okay. She wasn't great in the first press conference, shaky, nervous,
- 2:50Speaker 2: but she can get over that. It's happened to other
- 2:52Speaker 2: press secretaries the first time. This trip will be like
- 2:55Speaker 2: graduate school because she's on the plane for many, many,
- 2:58Speaker 2: many hours with all of these people and the cabinet members.
- 3:03Speaker 2: One of the problems when you do your first press conference,
- 3:06Speaker 2: besides the fact you're nervous, it's the White House, you
- 3:09Speaker 2: don't know what you're supposed to know because the mistake
- 3:12Speaker 2: was you got to bring her in, have her spend
- 3:15Speaker 2: a week at the White House. You got to meet
- 3:16Speaker 2: with all the cabinet people, all the principals. You got
- 3:20Speaker 2: to talk to them for hours. Make sure you know
- 3:22Speaker 2: every detail of everything going on, and then you're ready
- 3:25Speaker 2: to go. You can't just jump in cold, but she did.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It wasn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It was fine. Nervous, shaky, yes, but it was fine.
- 3:37Speaker 2: If you see the next one and she's 40% better,
- 3:40Speaker 2: then you know she'll be just fine. Hey, here's the
- 3:45Speaker 2: way it stands right now. It looks very good for
- 3:47Speaker 2: Republicans winning the Senate. It looks very good. The House,
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's too close to call. This could go either way
- 3:53Speaker 2: right now. What if Democrats win the House? They can
- 3:56Speaker 2: start impeaching the president. Will they do it? Of course
- 4:01Speaker 2: they'll do it. The last time they impeached him twice.
- 4:03Speaker 2: This time that means six, seven times. What will they
- 4:06Speaker 2: impeach him over? They'll impeach him over, I don't know, Iran.
- 4:10Speaker 2: They'll impeach him over profiteering. They'll impeach him over, I
- 4:13Speaker 2: don't know, they'll find a million things. Watch MSNBC. They'll
- 4:19Speaker 2: give you a million things to impeach him over. Will
- 4:22Speaker 2: it go anywhere?
- 4:22Speaker 5: No.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Will it bother him? No, not really. He loves this stuff.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He loves being in a battle. He has said, my
- 4:29Speaker 2: whole life is a series of battles. He loves to fight.
- 4:33Speaker 2: So he'll enjoy the impeachment. If the Republicans hold the Senate,
- 4:38Speaker 2: the impeachment will go no place, but they'll try it
- 4:41Speaker 2: in the House. They'll hold hearings every second. They'll hold
- 4:44Speaker 2: hearings looking into everything, every cabinet member, the family, the kids.
- 4:49Speaker 2: They'll subpoena them. They'll What the president may have to
- 4:53Speaker 2: do if, for some reason, they lose the House, between
- 4:57Speaker 2: the election and January when the new House takes over,
- 5:01Speaker 2: if the Democrats win, he would have to probably pardon everybody.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Massive pardons. It sounds crazy, but the Biden administration set
- 5:10Speaker 2: the precedent to do it. So that's what they would
- 5:13Speaker 2: have to do. Now, Kimberly Guilfoyle will want one of
- 5:17Speaker 2: those pardons. They will definitely go after her, call her in. Why?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Because she was engaged to Donald Trump Jr. She lived
- 5:25Speaker 2: with him. They'll think that she must know everything about
- 5:29Speaker 2: the inner workings of the Trump family. So she'll definitely
- 5:32Speaker 2: be a target. What is Kimberly Guilfoyle doing now? She's
- 5:36Speaker 2: just resigned as the ambassador to Greece. It's happened before.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Ambassadors have had to leave before. This is leaving under
- 5:42Speaker 2: a bad cloud. But what will she do? You never know.
- 5:46Speaker 2: could go back to uh media she worked at fox
- 5:48Speaker 2: before i don't think they'll take her back but she
- 5:51Speaker 2: could get a job at newsmax something like that you
- 5:55Speaker 2: never know you never know uh the debate last night
- 5:59Speaker 2: pretty strong performance Bruce Bligman was great in last night's debate.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Hochul tried tearing him apart.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Kathy Hochul has spent $ 8 billion of your money on
- 6:09Speaker 1: illegal migrants for free food, free housing, free transportation, and
- 6:13Speaker 1: a free cell phone. That's your money that she spent on.
- 6:16Speaker 2: People who aren't New Yorkers.
- 6:18Speaker 6: He says that he's gonna bring Trump-style leadership to Albany.
- 6:24Speaker 6: He says he's gonna cut Medicaid in half. You heard
- 6:26Speaker 6: him say that. And he's going to let ice run
- 6:29Speaker 6: rampant in our streets.
- 6:31Speaker 2: He's never said anything like that. He's never once said,
- 6:34Speaker 2: I'll bring Trump style. He's never, ever, ever said that.
- 6:37Speaker 1: On the Pennsylvania side of the border, people are driving.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Now, the big thing is energy costs. There are energy bills.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You know, there used to be 100. Now they're 400.
- 6:45Speaker 2: That's because of Hochul, Cuomo, shutting down Indian Point, nuclear stuff.
- 6:49Speaker 2: They will not allow fracking. We're sitting on a ton
- 6:52Speaker 2: of natural gas. We could frack and your energy bill
- 6:56Speaker 2: would drop like 300% immediately. Now, they do it in Pennsylvania,
- 7:01Speaker 2: and the difference between Pennsylvania and us.
- 7:05Speaker 1: On the Pennsylvania side of the border, people are driving
- 7:07Speaker 1: around in brand new Cadillac Escalades. And on the New
- 7:10Speaker 1: York side of the border, they're driving around in 25-year-old
- 7:13Speaker 1: rusted-out pickup trucks because of your policies.
- 7:15Speaker 6: You called my moratorium crazy.
- 7:18Speaker 7: It was.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Donald Trump says it's only for dumb, poor people would
- 7:22Speaker 6: support that. Are you support what Donald Trump said there
- 7:25Speaker 6: as well?
- 7:26Speaker 2: That's the problem. She kept resorting to all this old
- 7:28Speaker 2: Joe Biden kind of, you know, you're a racist, you're
- 7:32Speaker 2: a this, you're a that, you hate poor people, all
- 7:34Speaker 2: this stuff. Just cheap, crappy little political stuff. It wasn't
- 7:40Speaker 2: a good look for Hochul. The governor's race right now
- 7:43Speaker 2: is neck and neck. In the real polls, the real polls,
- 7:46Speaker 2: not the public ones, the real ones, it's pretty much tied.
- 7:49Speaker 2: They're both within the margin of error. But even in
- 7:52Speaker 2: the fake polls, the public polls, Here's one that came
- 7:56Speaker 2: out yesterday, has Hochul only 47%, Blakeman 44%. And that's
- 8:02Speaker 2: within the margin of error. The poll said, this is
- 8:06Speaker 2: one of these fake polls, but it said about 6%
- 8:09Speaker 2: of voters were undecided. So it's within the margin of error.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It's pretty much deadlocked right now. We'll see what effect
- 8:16Speaker 2: the debate has. It can take a couple of days
- 8:19Speaker 2: before you realize what effect the date had on everything.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Netflix just laid off a thousand people. That's 6% of
- 8:26Speaker 2: their workforce. Netflix. Well, you got to remember when Netflix
- 8:31Speaker 2: first came along, it was a crazy idea. Some people like,
- 8:37Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden it took off. All
- 8:39Speaker 2: of a sudden it was a stock that went from
- 8:40Speaker 2: 40 to 400. It was the biggest, hottest problem for
- 8:44Speaker 2: Netflix is a lot of other streaming services came along.
- 8:48Speaker 2: So it was all Netflix and now it's 17 different
- 8:51Speaker 2: streaming services. So they are cutting back a little. 1,000 workers, 6%
- 8:56Speaker 2: of their workforce laid off. You kids today, you wouldn't
- 9:01Speaker 2: believe it. Before this stuff, before streaming, you would not
- 9:05Speaker 2: believe it. If you wanted to see a movie, you
- 9:09Speaker 2: had to get in your car and drive to Blockbuster.
- 9:14Speaker 2: And you had to walk up and down the aisles
- 9:17Speaker 2: looking for movies. And then when you saw the movie
- 9:21Speaker 2: you wanted, it's in a box of it's like a
- 9:25Speaker 2: vhs tape don't ask i can't explain what that is
- 9:29Speaker 2: it was it was called a vhs tape you had
- 9:31Speaker 2: to bring that up to the counter where some pimple-faced
- 9:34Speaker 2: kid would uh would ring it up you'd rent it
- 9:38Speaker 2: you're not buying it you're renting it you'd take it
- 9:41Speaker 2: home you'd watch it i know if you're 20 years
- 9:47Speaker 2: old listening to me you think this is insane you'd
- 9:49Speaker 2: watch it then the next day You had to get
- 9:52Speaker 2: in your car, drive back to the Blockbuster and give
- 9:54Speaker 2: it back to them. And if you forgot to rewind it,
- 9:58Speaker 2: you got charged extra. I know you're saying, what is rewind?
- 10:02Speaker 2: What does that mean? It's too hard to explain. Don't
- 10:04Speaker 2: worry about it. So, and that was a hell of
- 10:08Speaker 2: a business. Blockbuster, woo, was that a business. Look at
- 10:12Speaker 2: it now. There's no such thing anymore. Nobody knows what
- 10:14Speaker 2: I'm talking about. So, and the other problem was the cable.
- 10:18Speaker 2: bill got too high. Your cable bill used to be
- 10:21Speaker 2: $ 80 a month, then it became $ 150. Next thing you know,
- 10:25Speaker 2: it's $ 250. So that's why people switch to streaming. But
- 10:29Speaker 2: the next thing you know, there's 17 streaming services. Now
- 10:31Speaker 2: your streaming cost is like $ 400 a month. You can't
- 10:35Speaker 2: win no matter what you do here. So, hey, Leslie
- 10:38Speaker 2: Stahl apparently was threatening to quit 60 Minutes. Leslie Stahl
- 10:44Speaker 2: doing a piece on the West Bank, on Israel, and
- 10:46Speaker 2: of course it's Leslie Stahl, 60 Minutes. They want to
- 10:50Speaker 2: make Israel look like butchers. They want to make Israel
- 10:52Speaker 2: look terrible. So apparently Barry Weiss stepped in and said,
- 10:57Speaker 2: she's the new CBS Newsboy. She wanted to be hands-on
- 11:00Speaker 2: and take a look at the piece before it aired.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And she wanted some changes. She wanted it toned down.
- 11:07Speaker 2: She didn't want a hit piece on Israel. And apparently
- 11:11Speaker 2: it got ugly and Leslie Stahl threatened to quit. And
- 11:13Speaker 2: next thing you know, They backed off a little. They compromised.
- 11:17Speaker 2: It was still a pretty bad piece. But insiders say
- 11:22Speaker 2: there's no way Leslie Stahl would quit. First of all,
- 11:24Speaker 2: she's like 98 years old. How old is she? She's
- 11:28Speaker 2: going to be like 90. Where is she going to go?
- 11:31Speaker 2: She's not going to quit. And then a few people
- 11:34Speaker 2: on the inside said she's not going anywhere. She's addicted
- 11:37Speaker 2: to being on 60 Minutes. Well, that's true with a
- 11:40Speaker 2: lot of these anchors. They're just addicted to it. They
- 11:43Speaker 2: can't leave the spotlight. They've got to have it. So
- 11:46Speaker 2: important to them. And a couple other insiders said she
- 11:50Speaker 2: knows if she leaves, where the hell she's going to go.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Nobody's going to hire her. She'll end up doing lectures
- 11:56Speaker 2: at universities like Scott Pelley and Sharon Alfonsi. Remember her?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Anybody remember her? Look at Scott Pelley. Look at anybody
- 12:05Speaker 2: that left. Where the hell are they? Look at these people.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Don Lemon, he's doing a show from home in his pajamas.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Chuck Todd, same thing. Does a fake podcast from home. Hey,
- 12:17Speaker 2: there's a big controversy. Open AI, you know, there's like
- 12:21Speaker 2: four companies control AI. Open AI is huge. Trillion dollar company.
- 12:27Speaker 2: So one of their engineers, a Saudi open AI engineer,
- 12:31Speaker 2: bugged the conference room where all the top executives meet.
- 12:36Speaker 2: This guy's 35 years old. I could tell you his name,
- 12:39Speaker 2: but it'd take me like a year to pronounce this.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell this name is. It's
- 12:43Speaker 2: like an eye chart. He's from Saudi Arabia. He's now
- 12:47Speaker 2: in federal custody. It's a very serious crime because in
- 12:50Speaker 2: this conference room, the top AI guys were discussing serious
- 12:56Speaker 2: AI secrets. So the guy somehow... First of all, you've
- 13:01Speaker 2: got to blame these AI companies. If you're discussing that
- 13:04Speaker 2: kind of stuff, you better have real security around your boardroom.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Apparently it wasn't locked, the conference room. This guy got
- 13:11Speaker 2: in there, hid a microphone... an audio recording device wrapped
- 13:18Speaker 2: in toilet paper. He put it behind the TV in
- 13:20Speaker 2: the conference room and was able to hear everything. The
- 13:24Speaker 2: guy has been arrested. Apparently he was online researching how
- 13:27Speaker 2: to come up with secret recording devices. He was also
- 13:32Speaker 2: online looking for open AIs, building addresses, meeting rooms, information
- 13:37Speaker 2: about the leadership. So, I mean, they got this guy,
- 13:40Speaker 2: he'll end up in jail. But we don't know what
- 13:43Speaker 2: he did with the information that he got out of there. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 2: he was looking for all kinds of... That's the problem
- 13:50Speaker 2: with the internet. It's there forever. There'll always be a
- 13:54Speaker 2: record of what you were researching, what you were looking for.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So expect this guy to go to jail for quite
- 13:59Speaker 2: a while. We'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 14:02Speaker 2: And we always love to have some new callers. 800- 321-0710.
- 14:11Speaker 2: 9 till noon weekdays.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Mark Simone.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Only on 710WOR. Hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is
- 14:26Speaker 2: the number. Let's go to Tom in Jupiter, Florida. Tom,
- 14:30Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 14:33Speaker 8: How are you, Mark?
- 14:34Speaker 2: No, you're in Jupiter. That's the Palm Beach is now.
- 14:38Speaker 2: How are you? So all the other people had to
- 14:41Speaker 2: flee to Jupiter. You don't hear that in Jupiter, do you?
- 14:46Speaker 8: No, not too much. No, it's still kind of bucolic there.
- 14:50Speaker 2: If you know what I mean. Yes, if you're in Jupiter,
- 14:52Speaker 2: somebody will say, hello, how are you? If you're in
- 14:54Speaker 2: Palm Beach, how are you? That's right.
- 15:00Speaker 8: Hey, Mark, the reason I'm calling is my friend is
- 15:04Speaker 8: second in the Republican Party in Nassau County. And I
- 15:07Speaker 8: stressed to him the other day, and I don't know
- 15:09Speaker 8: how many people know this, but since Cuomo closed that
- 15:14Speaker 8: power plant in Indian Point, whatever it was, do you
- 15:19Speaker 8: know that the state of New York, and it's almost
- 15:22Speaker 8: completed now, the state of New York paid $ 1. 3 billion
- 15:26Speaker 8: to build a pipeline from Canada to the New York
- 15:30Speaker 8: City line, which affected everybody's rates. I mean, it's insane.
- 15:38Speaker 8: That should be his focus.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Well, that was the focus last night. But as we
- 15:42Speaker 2: always say, Cuomo closing the endpoint, that's 25% of our electricity, 25%
- 15:49Speaker 2: of our power. Cuomo shut it down for absolutely no
- 15:53Speaker 2: reason at all. And Hochul continues the policy. Let's go
- 15:58Speaker 2: to Eric in Connecticut. Eric, how are you doing?
- 16:00Speaker 3: Hi, Mark.
- 16:03Speaker 7: How are you? Good.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I'm glad to get on the radio the first time
- 16:09Speaker 3: I called you.
- 16:09Speaker 2: We can tell.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And I'm more.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Of a comment.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I appreciate what, like, Steve Moore says and what you
- 16:20Speaker 3: guys are saying.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And I'm definitely all on board with Trump.
- 16:24Speaker 2: But what's the but? So.
- 16:29Speaker 3: With all these robots building houses or the thought that
- 16:34Speaker 3: that and how this mass automation is going to be great.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 3: And the only thing is that people will have to
- 16:42Speaker 3: learn a new job.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Well, that's sort of.
- 16:45Speaker 3: What was said in the 80s when they shipped all
- 16:49Speaker 3: our manufacturing overseas.
- 16:52Speaker 2: And that's a good point. Yeah. We go through this
- 16:55Speaker 2: a lot. You know, industrial revolution. Put a lot of
- 16:58Speaker 2: people out of work. They had to use new jobs.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Digital revolution, 1999, 2000. A lot of people put out
- 17:03Speaker 2: of work. They had to learn new jobs. And you're right.
- 17:06Speaker 2: When we shipped all the manufacturing away, closed all the factories, yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 2: What did Trump call it? Carnage. The carnage. They just
- 17:14Speaker 2: shut down the factories all over America. Put a lot
- 17:17Speaker 2: of people out of work. Let's go to John in Ronkonkomo. John,
- 17:21Speaker 2: how are you doing? Hey, good, Mark.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Thanks for taking the call.
- 17:25Speaker 8: Hey, don't you wish guys like Harry Styles would do
- 17:28Speaker 8: some research if they're going to take up an issue
- 17:31Speaker 8: like Oscar?
- 17:32Speaker 3: What do you think he saw like that.
- 17:34Speaker 2: In the airport at CNN? Yeah, if you're Harry Styles,
- 17:38Speaker 2: you're just going to watch CNN and MSNOW, and you're
- 17:42Speaker 2: going to believe this poor guy was gunned down in
- 17:44Speaker 2: the street. They never mentioned he's a gang member, career criminal.
- 17:47Speaker 2: He took his car and tried to run over the
- 17:50Speaker 2: cops with it. They fired when he tried to run
- 17:52Speaker 2: them down with his car. They never tell you that part.
- 17:54Speaker 2: That's the problem with fake news. They give you half
- 17:57Speaker 2: the story. That should be their motto. MS Now, half
- 18:01Speaker 2: the story. Our half of it. Let's go to Peter
- 18:04Speaker 2: and Beth Page. Peter, how you doing?
- 18:07Speaker 7: Hey, Mark.
- 18:08Speaker 4: How are you?
- 18:09Speaker 2: Good.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I just, you know, I'm troubled by the Republicans.
- 18:14Speaker 4: They never talk about the big, beautiful bill and how,
- 18:18Speaker 4: especially New York, right, has gained so much from it. Like,
- 18:23Speaker 4: I'll calculate. I'm not an accountant, by the way. You
- 18:26Speaker 4: sound like an accountant. If you break it down, right,
- 18:31Speaker 4: a modest New York middle-class family, right, with a home
- 18:37Speaker 4: in Westchester or Nassau County, they're getting back, not deducted,
- 18:42Speaker 4: but back about $ 23, 000 in tax savings, right? I mean,
- 18:49Speaker 4: any cop fireman that makes $ 25, 000 in overtime, That's $ 5, 500
- 18:55Speaker 4: back in their pocket.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. They've got to make more of that
- 18:59Speaker 2: because wages are up. Wages are up. Taxes are down. Federal.
- 19:05Speaker 2: You can't do anything if you're Trump about the New
- 19:08Speaker 2: York State taxes. But, yeah, average income is up. Wages
- 19:11Speaker 2: are up. All that stuff is up. Let's go to
- 19:15Speaker 2: Bill in Massapequa. Bill, how are you doing?
- 19:19Speaker 5: Good, Mark.
- 19:20Speaker 2: How are you?
- 19:20Speaker 7: Good.
- 19:22Speaker 5: I'm calling about, nobody's talking about the Speaker of the Assembly.
- 19:29Speaker 5: He went to South America.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Carl Hastie? We've talked about it for three days here.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Oh, you did? I missed it then. But anyway, his roommate.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. We've covered the story. People always call you,
- 19:44Speaker 2: how come nobody ever reports that... Well, they do. That's
- 19:46Speaker 2: how you knew about it. Yeah, Carl Hastie was seen in...
- 19:50Speaker 2: some splashy vacation in Rio with a guy who had
- 19:55Speaker 2: been his roommate years ago. They were pretty close. And
- 19:58Speaker 2: the guy has become a big lobbyist. It's believed he
- 20:01Speaker 2: paid for the trip, which would not be kosher. Hastie
- 20:04Speaker 2: has refused to say who paid for the trip. So
- 20:06Speaker 2: has the lobbyist. Looks pretty sleazy. but he's a Democrat,
- 20:10Speaker 2: so he has immunity. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 20:14Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 20:15Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. I listened to the
- 20:18Speaker 7: debate last night, and one of my favorite lines is
- 20:21Speaker 7: when Kathy Hochul was crawling, oh, I spent $ 4 billion
- 20:26Speaker 7: hiring new police throughout the state, and Bruce Blakeman came
- 20:30Speaker 7: back and hit her with a punch. He said, And
- 20:33Speaker 7: you spent $ 8 billion giving migrants free health care, housing,
- 20:39Speaker 7: and cell phones. You know, a lot of these anti-AI people, Mark,
- 20:43Speaker 7: they don't realize that. new jobs are created. These robots
- 20:48Speaker 7: and all this associated stuff with AI need servicing, needs
- 20:54Speaker 7: people to service these robots, to get the equipment that
- 20:57Speaker 7: these robots, that these robots.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but they'll have robots that fix the robots.
- 21:03Speaker 7: Well, but still, somebody's going to have to learn the
- 21:07Speaker 7: technology to fix and program the master robot. Folks, you
- 21:12Speaker 7: may hear me sometimes come on Mark's show, and I'll
- 21:16Speaker 7: say something. I'll rail against Trump here and there. But
- 21:19Speaker 7: let me make it perfectly clear. I will never vote
- 21:22Speaker 7: for a Democrat. I'm going to vote for Bruce Blakeman.
- 21:26Speaker 7: I'm going to vote right down the line. I would
- 21:30Speaker 7: never want to see somebody, any Democrat, in the presidency,
- 21:35Speaker 7: so much so that I always put my money where
- 21:38Speaker 7: my mouth is. And last night, I couldn't do it
- 21:42Speaker 7: with the broccoli roll. I cut a check. To Bruce Blakeman.
- 21:48Speaker 7: And everybody who's listening within the sound of my voice.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, good for you, Vincent. Everybody donate. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. BlakemanForNewYork.com.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Make a donation. Vincent, great call. We've got to take
- 22:01Speaker 2: a break. And when we come back, Ann Coulter will
- 22:04Speaker 2: be with us next on 710WOR.
- 22:07Speaker 7: The Mark Simone Show.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well, Ann Coulter, the
- 22:17Speaker 2: best-selling author, the great columnist. You should follow her on Twitter.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Even better is Substack, where she's got her columns, her videos,
- 22:26Speaker 2: her podcasts, everything. She's also got a great Rumble channel.
- 22:30Speaker 2: It's Ann Coulter at Rumble. Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Fantastic.
- 22:36Speaker 9: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 22:38Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm good. One of your books a long
- 22:40Speaker 2: time ago, you wrote about McCarthy... communism, the McCarthy hearings,
- 22:45Speaker 2: if they could show that you ever in your life
- 22:47Speaker 2: ever even met with a communist, you were finished. You
- 22:51Speaker 2: were out of work forever. Now today, Democrats brag about
- 22:55Speaker 2: being communists. How did this happen?
- 22:59Speaker 9: Oh, they were broken back then, too. They liked to
- 23:03Speaker 9: go on offense and defense at the same time. There
- 23:05Speaker 9: was just a lot of wailing about nothing. And of course,
- 23:11Speaker 9: McCarthy was only interested in communists in possessions of power
- 23:15Speaker 9: at the State Department where they were and where they
- 23:17Speaker 9: were influencing policy, such as giving away all of Eastern
- 23:21Speaker 9: Europe to the Soviet Union. That was Alger Hiss sitting
- 23:26Speaker 9: at the right hand of FDR at Yalta. So it
- 23:29Speaker 9: was a pretty serious, serious matter. But yes, it's funny
- 23:33Speaker 9: how they openly talk about it now. They kind of
- 23:36Speaker 9: talked about it openly back then, too.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Wow. But did you ever think you'd see a time
- 23:41Speaker 2: where they actually run as socialists, communists, and campaign based
- 23:46Speaker 2: on that?
- 23:49Speaker 9: It's very strange. I guess people just don't, I mean,
- 23:57Speaker 9: nobody remembers anything. And so we have to keep reliving
- 24:03Speaker 9: the same mistakes over and over and over again.
- 24:07Speaker 2: And if you're a dumb college kid, what is it
- 24:08Speaker 2: about communism that you love? Do they think it means
- 24:12Speaker 2: equality for everybody, fairness for everybody? Is that what they think?
- 24:16Speaker 9: Well, I think, maybe I'm wrong about this, but I
- 24:19Speaker 9: think they mostly call themselves socialists. Communists, I think, probably
- 24:24Speaker 9: still is like saying anarchists or something wild to show
- 24:28Speaker 9: how radical and cool you are. And for socialism, I
- 24:31Speaker 9: think they just want free stuff.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well. Hey, speaking of college, your old alma mater there, Cornell,
- 24:39Speaker 2: a lot of trouble there. What do you think of
- 24:42Speaker 2: this Bill Maher idea, close all fraternities, don't even have
- 24:45Speaker 2: many more?
- 24:45Speaker 9: Oh, I'm so glad you asked. I have another article
- 24:49Speaker 9: or column on that going up a little later today.
- 24:55Speaker 9: You will have to read the column, but the reason
- 24:58Speaker 9: they're so obsessed with fraternities, I mean, they're always obsessed
- 25:00Speaker 9: with fraternities, is because they see them as these bastions
- 25:04Speaker 9: of waspdom and traditional American values, which in fact is
- 25:08Speaker 9: exactly what they are. But it's curious how they are
- 25:11Speaker 9: so fixated on for sure this time. And I suspect
- 25:16Speaker 9: it's because normally when they need, they're dying, dying for
- 25:20Speaker 9: white gang rapists, something that incidentally never happens. So they're
- 25:25Speaker 9: constantly making up stories, the media constantly, Democrats, liberals, making
- 25:29Speaker 9: up stories about white gang rapes. There were the white
- 25:32Speaker 9: gang rapists at the UVA fraternity, the famous Rolling Stone article.
- 25:38Speaker 9: White Duke lacrosse players, alleged gang rape. White military contractors,
- 25:44Speaker 9: that was Jamie Lee Jones, got the law changed. Huge
- 25:47Speaker 9: hearings in the Senate, led by none other than Al Franken.
- 25:52Speaker 9: White prosecutors and police, allegedly... gang-raped Tawana Brawley. That was
- 25:57Speaker 9: the one that kind of set the whole thing off.
- 26:00Speaker 9: All of them fake. All of them, all of them,
- 26:02Speaker 9: all of them. And coincidentally, there are seven fraternity brothers
- 26:11Speaker 9: now being accused in the pleadings. So at the time,
- 26:15Speaker 9: Jane Doe admitted that two of them never laid a
- 26:18Speaker 9: finger on her. They just stepped into the room. They
- 26:20Speaker 9: told the police, it's the two Scotts, Scott Norris and Scott... Kreshmar,
- 26:25Speaker 9: I think his name is, the two Scots told the police,
- 26:29Speaker 9: we saw this vulgar course tweet sent out by fraternity
- 26:35Speaker 9: brother Jonathan Newell, an African-American, by the way, but we'll
- 26:39Speaker 9: get back to that in a moment, offering free and
- 26:42Speaker 9: then vulgar term for a woman's private parts. So they
- 26:47Speaker 9: wanted to know what the hell was going on and
- 26:51Speaker 9: shut it down if there were any sexual hijinks. They
- 26:54Speaker 9: said they went up to the room, Jane Doe was conversational,
- 26:57Speaker 9: they left after five minutes, never laid a finger on her.
- 27:01Speaker 9: She agreed that they never touched her at the time,
- 27:05Speaker 9: which is why the other five were suspended, expelled, barred
- 27:10Speaker 9: from campus, because that one had already graduated. These two,
- 27:15Speaker 9: the two Scots, by the way, the only two white guys,
- 27:20Speaker 9: their punishment was to read up on sexual harassment and
- 27:24Speaker 9: something called bystander intervention. But everybody's agreed. Jane Doe, them,
- 27:30Speaker 9: these guys, never touch her. So who are the ones
- 27:33Speaker 9: who engaged in sexual acts with her, and their defense
- 27:37Speaker 9: is it was consensual? It may well be. An awful
- 27:41Speaker 9: lot of evidence seems to go that way. Yet and still,
- 27:45Speaker 9: it was an orgy. Who did have sexual acts with
- 27:49Speaker 9: Jane Doe? Well, the five of them who admit to...
- 27:52Speaker 9: engaging in sexual activity which ain't no uh... one muslim
- 27:56Speaker 9: one african-american to hispanics and one asian so that's why
- 28:02Speaker 9: we're getting this fixation on fraternities so you don't look
- 28:07Speaker 9: too closely at who did what and uh... and uh...
- 28:13Speaker 9: and and and and you're just supposed to think what
- 28:15Speaker 9: think what I just said, Jane. It's elitist. It's privilege.
- 28:20Speaker 9: Elitist to privilege. The exact same things they said about
- 28:24Speaker 9: the Duke lacrosse players, about UVA.
- 28:27Speaker 4: They're elite.
- 28:27Speaker 1: They're privileged.
- 28:28Speaker 9: It's supposed to be white, white, white, white, white. And strikingly, wow,
- 28:34Speaker 9: year after year, decades of absolute rape sprees on college
- 28:40Speaker 9: campuses by college football players. And, oh, my gosh, you
- 28:45Speaker 9: never hear a peep about that.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Wow. Hey, the other thing the left is crazy about,
- 28:51Speaker 2: Christopher Columbus, they just keep going after him. I mean,
- 28:55Speaker 2: it's America. He discovered it. Shouldn't he be a hero
- 28:58Speaker 2: even to the left? And wasn't he the first illegal migrant?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Shouldn't they be celebrating this guy?
- 29:05Speaker 9: He was absolutely not illegal, you see. A great discoverer.
- 29:10Speaker 9: Of course we should celebrate him. We should put him
- 29:12Speaker 9: on Rushmore. Yes, he brought the Western culture, the greatest
- 29:17Speaker 9: culture in the history of mankind, to a godforsaken land where, quote,
- 29:25Speaker 9: indigenous are running around in loincloths having to chase a
- 29:28Speaker 9: buffalo whenever their stomachs growl. I mean, a country, they
- 29:35Speaker 9: had no concept of property rights, the idea that we
- 29:37Speaker 9: stole land from them were no matter what.
- 29:40Speaker 2: People.
- 29:42Speaker 9: And if their, quote, civilization had triumphed, America wouldn't be
- 29:50Speaker 9: able to support more than, oh, I don't know, 700,000 people.
- 29:54Speaker 9: But thanks to the innovations of Western Europe and we've
- 29:59Speaker 9: been able to create the richest, most prosperous, freest, greatest
- 30:05Speaker 9: country in the world.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Oh, all right. Hurricanes. Shouldn't there be a law that
- 30:12Speaker 2: you have to pick a normal name? Now there's hurricane names.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Nobody knows what the hell the name of this hurricane is.
- 30:22Speaker 9: No, maybe you looked this up. I just thought what
- 30:24Speaker 9: a stupid name it was and tweeted out that I
- 30:26Speaker 9: want the next one to be in a language that
- 30:30Speaker 9: has those clicking noises used by African Bushmen. They actually
- 30:35Speaker 9: have clicks as part of their, I don't know how
- 30:38Speaker 9: to do it, as part of their language. So that
- 30:40Speaker 9: would be great for a hurricane name. But who on
- 30:42Speaker 9: earth is coming up with these names?
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it used to be Hurricane Sally, Hurricane Frank, Hurricane John.
- 30:49Speaker 9: Oh, I go farther. I don't think they should be
- 30:51Speaker 9: named after men.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Oh.
- 30:53Speaker 9: Let's go back to, I mean, it was all, hurricanes
- 30:55Speaker 9: were always named after women. And then, because there can
- 31:00Speaker 9: never be any difference, any difference at all in men
- 31:04Speaker 9: and women. No, we have to start giving them... Actually,
- 31:06Speaker 9: it was funny how the first several names, when they
- 31:09Speaker 9: started going to male names, sounded like really gay names.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Well.
- 31:15Speaker 9: Which sort of made sense, because that's why I think
- 31:18Speaker 9: hurricanes should be named only after women. It's one of
- 31:20Speaker 9: our little.
- 31:23Speaker 9: It's one of our little techniques for keeping people in
- 31:25Speaker 9: control to be able to act like a hurricane.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Well, that's true. If it's a lot of hot air
- 31:31Speaker 2: and noise, I guess you should name it after a woman.
- 31:33Speaker 2: There you go.
- 31:34Speaker 9: Yes.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Hey, you didn't see the debate last night, did you?
- 31:38Speaker 2: The governor's debate here in New York?
- 31:41Speaker 9: I did not see it, but I've read about it.
- 31:45Speaker 9: I guess Kathy Hogle thinks she's running against Trump.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but she hits them with all this. You hang
- 31:52Speaker 2: around with white supremacists, QAnon. Where do they come up
- 31:55Speaker 2: with these idiotic things to hit people with?
- 31:57Speaker 9: Did she really?
- 32:00Speaker 7: That's interesting.
- 32:01Speaker 9: The New York Times did not report that.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Oh, of course they didn't. Imagine Bruce Blakeman hanging around
- 32:05Speaker 2: with QAnon.
- 32:07Speaker 9: That's very embarrassing. For her.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 32:13Speaker 9: I mean, that sort of crap I would think would
- 32:15Speaker 9: annoy people, even if they were on the fence. They
- 32:19Speaker 9: would say, okay, that's it. I don't know anything about
- 32:22Speaker 9: this guy, but I'm voting for him because this is
- 32:24Speaker 9: such nonsense.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah, besides the fact that you look like a dirty,
- 32:28Speaker 2: cheap politician and he looked like a statesman and like
- 32:32Speaker 2: a common-sense, normal guy. And a dwarf.
- 32:35Speaker 9: Do you know if she's technically the legal definition of
- 32:38Speaker 9: a dwarf?
- 32:39Speaker 2: No, she's not a dwarf. She's like 5'1.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Okay, well, let's look that up.
- 32:45Speaker 2: With heels.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Well, Ann Coulter, good stuff. Everybody, watch her Rumble channel.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Very good stuff on Rumble. Follow her on Twitter. And

- 33:55Speaker 2: they send out the president's schedule every day. This one
- 34:00Speaker 2: looks brutal. You know, yesterday he was in Alaska. Middle
- 34:03Speaker 2: of the day, he flies up to Alaska, does a
- 34:05Speaker 2: big rally. From Alaska, he flies to Las Vegas, Nevada.
- 34:09Speaker 2: He spends the night there. From Las Vegas today, he's
- 34:12Speaker 2: in Las Vegas, wakes up in Las Vegas. Then today
- 34:15Speaker 2: he goes to Arizona for another event. Then from Arizona,
- 34:20Speaker 2: he goes to Montana for another event. He's just flying
- 34:25Speaker 2: all over the place nonstop. This is a lot of travel.
- 34:28Speaker 2: That's like four states in two days. It's a brutal schedule. Hey,
- 34:33Speaker 2: it's going to be warm today. It'll be near 80.
- 34:35Speaker 2: There could be some rain in a little while. But
- 34:39Speaker 2: a nice day otherwise. And then it looks great for
- 34:41Speaker 2: the rest of the week, except for Friday. A lot
- 34:44Speaker 2: of rain on Friday. And then a sunny but very
- 34:47Speaker 2: cool weekend in the 50s. That'll be the high this weekend. Hey,
- 34:51Speaker 2: we're out of time. I'll be back tomorrow. I'm here
- 34:54Speaker 2: every day, 9 to noon. Three hours, 9 to noon.
- 34:57Speaker 2: And if you can't listen live, remember you get the
- 34:59Speaker 2: podcast of this show. Any place you get podcasts, you
- 35:02Speaker 2: can hear this show. Back tomorrow at 10. See you then.
- 35:05Speaker 4: 710WOR.
