Latest / FPL Pod / S7 Ep20: FPL Pod: Preparing for the first midweek round
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: A Monday treat of an FPL pod ahead of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: first midweek mayhem of the season. Do we all have
- 0:06Speaker 1: to bring in Bocayo and Chelsea the main team to target?
- 0:09Speaker 2: And will Jeeles.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Finally sell Arling Harland. Well, this is a bit different,
- 0:18Speaker 1: isn't it a Monday FPL pod? No, it's not off
- 0:22Speaker 1: the bench. No, you don't have one of the experts.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Unfortunately you stuck with me Kelly Summers and Julian larn
- 0:27Speaker 1: But we have, of course roped in at least one experts.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Rodel can not put you in that category. Yeah, I
- 0:32Speaker 1: don't think either of us are in there. Sam Bonfield
- 0:34Speaker 1: is also with U this morning.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Guys.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Let's first leave my voice is a bit croaky today.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Let's firstly just let the listener into a little secret
- 0:41Speaker 1: or it's not a secret, Jews. What time is it?
- 0:44Speaker 3: It's seven am? It's very early.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Fine, But the best way of starting the week is
- 0:47Speaker 4: you do an FBL show seven am on a Monday morning.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Cour you've spun that quite positively. Wasn't what you were saying?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Off Come, I'm joking. I'm joking. Sam.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It's it's quite nice actually to speak about a game
- 0:57Speaker 1: week that has finished so recently, because it's a lot
- 0:59Speaker 1: more fresh in our minds, isn't it. Are you feeling
- 1:02Speaker 1: happy fresh this morning about you too?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Oh? I don't have to know.
- 1:07Speaker 3: She had a great weekend, then she's going to mor Did.
- 1:09Speaker 2: You see who she sold jeels? I have very mixed
- 1:13Speaker 2: feelings about this weekend. I so, oh, my goodness, Saturday,
- 1:18Speaker 2: Saturday I think well started finding I suppose, but no
- 1:22Speaker 2: Saturday rescued you, Sam, Can I say because I was no,
- 1:24Speaker 2: sorry Sunday rescued you?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Because Saturday I was like, oh my gosh, I'm closing
- 1:28Speaker 1: the gap here a little bit.
- 1:30Speaker 2: All I need is for United to blanket all those things.
- 1:32Speaker 2: And Saturday was I think the single worst fil day
- 1:37Speaker 2: I've ever had, No Jewels, Honestly, I had fourteen points
- 1:41Speaker 2: from Saturday and that was it. On a game week
- 1:43Speaker 2: where Gabrielle like was smashing it Soccer was obviously like Honestly, Saturday,
- 1:49Speaker 2: I got to a point where I was I was
- 1:51Speaker 2: out on Saturday, And when the Crystal Palace goal went in,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I never celebrated a goal so much in my life
- 1:59Speaker 2: because I've been Lewis Hall and I was like, right,
- 2:01Speaker 2: thank goodness, something's gone right, and I just I kept
- 2:04Speaker 2: saying to myself, it can't get any worse Sunday. I've
- 2:08Speaker 2: got good players coming on Sunday. And then I got
- 2:11Speaker 2: to Spurs and I look at the big screen and
- 2:13Speaker 2: there's no Dom silank in the team sheet, and I
- 2:15Speaker 2: was like, what even is? What even is this week?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Like it's a disaster. So then I looked like a
- 2:21Speaker 2: complete idiot, as Lee quite rightly texts me to tell
- 2:24Speaker 2: me because I celebrated the Lewis Hall clean sheet going
- 2:27Speaker 2: only for them him to come off my bench for
- 2:28Speaker 2: Dom Selanki. So of course, in the end, Sunday actually
- 2:33Speaker 2: did save me because I had Bruno who did well
- 2:36Speaker 2: and had Palmer, and I had Salah as my captain,
- 2:38Speaker 2: and I had Dalo who kept a clean sheet. So
- 2:40Speaker 2: I ended up on seventy three and somehow a green arrow.
- 2:43Speaker 2: But yeah, having sold Stran Larson for Jel Pedro this
- 2:48Speaker 2: week and then having brought in the wrong arsenal defender
- 2:52Speaker 2: to back up Raya and not having Soaker, it could
- 2:56Speaker 2: have been an absolute nightmare. As it happens, the arrow
- 2:59Speaker 2: was green, and I can't be too down on it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But I can't also help, but feel that it was
- 3:04Speaker 2: just a difficult weekend.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So I'm cind of asked why you sold strand Larson
- 3:07Speaker 1: because I'm not trying to rub salt in the wings,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but I was just really so when I saw Stran
- 3:11Speaker 1: Larston scored twice and I've obviously got Kunya, I was like,
- 3:15Speaker 1: seeing the scores coming, I was like, oh, Sam, Sam's
- 3:17Speaker 1: gonna have done really well. There are no returns for Kunya.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And then I checked your team and I was like,
- 3:21Speaker 1: why she sold Stran Larson in the middle of such
- 3:22Speaker 1: a good set of fixtures. There must be a reason.
- 3:25Speaker 1: So that's why I'm asking. I'm not trying to rub
- 3:27Speaker 1: it in.
- 3:28Speaker 2: No, No, it's a good question. Well, there were two reasons.
- 3:32Speaker 2: The first one was I wanted to get jaw pedro
- 3:34Speaker 2: in and I didn't want to sell Chris Wood ahead
- 3:38Speaker 2: of the game against Ipswich, so that was the first
- 3:40Speaker 2: and I didn't want to sell Slanky just yet, So
- 3:43Speaker 2: that was the first reason. And the second one was
- 3:44Speaker 2: that in the long term, I think if you're going
- 3:46Speaker 2: to have a wolf's attack of Kunya is the right
- 3:48Speaker 2: one to have, and so I didn't want to at
- 3:50Speaker 2: some point end up being doubled up on the Wolve's
- 3:53Speaker 2: attack even with the fixtures that they have. So I
- 3:56Speaker 2: made the decision to sell Stan Larson this week and
- 3:59Speaker 2: then look to bring Kunya in, probably for well, possibly
- 4:03Speaker 2: for the MIDWEK round of fixtures, but more likely for
- 4:06Speaker 2: the weekend. So yeah, that was why it. Absolutely he
- 4:12Speaker 2: came back to Bite, meeting it massively on Saturday afternoon,
- 4:15Speaker 2: But yeah, it is what it is. The thing is
- 4:19Speaker 2: that for the last couple of weeks since I've owned us,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and he's actually done nothing and it's been all about Kunya,
- 4:24Speaker 2: and then this weekend it was it was just the opposite.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So I guess it was inevitable that that happened at
- 4:28Speaker 2: some stage. But I still feel that Kunya is the
- 4:31Speaker 2: right wolf attacker. Only really had strung Us in because
- 4:34Speaker 2: of budget and I didn't have those budget restrictions. It
- 4:37Speaker 2: makes a bit of a difference.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Okay, Geels, the reason you can't understand why Sam isn't
- 4:41Speaker 1: happy with her week is because you had a slightly
- 4:44Speaker 1: worse week, didn't you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: So to be fair, we know which is average.
- 4:50Speaker 4: But if we go back which it made me laugh
- 4:52Speaker 4: last night, because we go back to the same debate
- 4:54Speaker 4: that we've had for the last I don't know how
- 4:57Speaker 4: many weeks. If your premium is higheraned like me, and
- 5:00Speaker 4: you know we've explained. I kept faith in him and
- 5:03Speaker 4: I still have faith in him, but he blanks and
- 5:06Speaker 4: the other premium in Saca and Palma, because I've got
- 5:09Speaker 4: Salah the other two. Bruno is slightly different, I think
- 5:12Speaker 4: because he didn't really have a good first half of
- 5:14Speaker 4: this season. That might be difference with a Morin, But
- 5:16Speaker 4: I think the four big ones obviously are Halan and Salad,
- 5:19Speaker 4: Saka and Palma.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You know what to do with them.
- 5:21Speaker 4: But if Saca and Palma are great like they are
- 5:24Speaker 4: this weekend and Harland isn't, then it hurts massive, massively,
- 5:28Speaker 4: massively because the rest I've got Harvard's returning, Nicol Jackson returning,
- 5:32Speaker 4: Brian Johnson great with ten points, Salads the captain.
- 5:35Speaker 3: No problem.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Okay, defensively, but I've always struggled defensively decision, but that
- 5:38Speaker 4: it's not too bad. The problem is because Saca and
- 5:41Speaker 4: Palma did so well and they are so heavily owned,
- 5:44Speaker 4: and my holand was rubbish. Again, did you have Salad?
- 5:47Speaker 2: I didn't you?
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah, Salad's captain, which obviously saves me in a way,
- 5:50Speaker 4: but it's not so much saves.
- 5:52Speaker 3: It's amongst those four.
- 5:53Speaker 4: If you have two or three and or the one
- 5:57Speaker 4: that that blanks and the other the other three are great,
- 6:00Speaker 4: then you're going to struggle.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So this is me.
- 6:02Speaker 1: This week was I think it's two returns in eight
- 6:05Speaker 1: game weeks now for Harland, when you sign you're keeping faith,
- 6:09Speaker 1: how long is this faith gonna kind of last? For
- 6:11Speaker 1: when you when you're talking about that issue that you've
- 6:13Speaker 1: had this game week, I don't know.
- 6:16Speaker 4: It's a good debate and I have a good question
- 6:18Speaker 4: again and a good debate, and I guess we will.
- 6:21Speaker 4: We talk about him quite a lot on the show.
- 6:23Speaker 4: If you look at the fixtures coming up, I don't think.
- 6:27Speaker 3: They're too bad.
- 6:28Speaker 4: But yesterday, to be fair, since since we've had this
- 6:31Speaker 4: debate or like should we keep him, should we sell him?
- 6:33Speaker 4: Et cetera, et cetera, yesterday was his worst performance by far.
- 6:37Speaker 3: City were horrible.
- 6:38Speaker 4: He was miserable, Like it was really I would have
- 6:41Speaker 4: done better than him. So to be fair, it was
- 6:45Speaker 4: not a bad weekend because I did a lot of
- 6:46Speaker 4: the great things, but sixty one points, I just I
- 6:50Speaker 4: just another day could have it could have a little
- 6:52Speaker 4: bit better. But also, Kelly, this weekend I spent a
- 6:57Speaker 4: lot of things doing something that was really passionate about
- 7:00Speaker 4: that took me quite a long long time to do a.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Curly some stop what you're doing? Least this cool gets
- 7:08Speaker 3: out of the TV? Tu joor the dead lining in
- 7:10Speaker 3: one hour one hour?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Is this my new vision and planning and make your transfers.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I'm getting back to Guenie that was coming because I
- 7:23Speaker 1: definitely didn't and I was like, what's he talking about?
- 7:28Speaker 2: What was that?
- 7:29Speaker 3: This is your new rington deadline? That was brilliant. I
- 7:34Speaker 3: think we should play it again.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Can you let me listen to it a bit more?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Play again, please, Jesse.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Curly some stop what you're doing? Least this cool gets
- 7:44Speaker 3: out of the TV. The dead lining in one hour
- 7:48Speaker 3: one hour?
- 7:49Speaker 4: It starts to use your talent, vision and planning and
- 7:52Speaker 4: make your f transfers.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Are you like if you've got like a tambourine that
- 7:56Speaker 2: you're shaking or the.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Magic radio podcasttimation?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Do you think I am like a musician or something?
- 8:04Speaker 2: I thought you a little girl might have one. I
- 8:05Speaker 2: don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 3: It was. It was just so make sure you enjoy.
- 8:09Speaker 1: The addition of the festive the festive jingles, but happy Christmas?
- 8:14Speaker 2: When did you talk to you about that? Off? The
- 8:18Speaker 2: can you make sure that goes in your phone?
- 8:19Speaker 1: The absolutely not seeing him once a week is enough.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't then need once a week my phones. Imagine
- 8:26Speaker 1: if I found somewhere where I don't need an alarm
- 8:28Speaker 1: going off like somewhere it's embarrassing anyway, and then if
- 8:30Speaker 1: that goes.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Off as well. But very good, Jeels, very good.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I've completely lost where I was. Now we were having
- 8:35Speaker 1: a discussion about teams. Oh, you're going to try and
- 8:37Speaker 1: put me off talking about my team. I actually I
- 8:39Speaker 1: think it's a second week in a row just about
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've beat both of you. I mean, don't get me wrong,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I need this to I need to beat you buy
- 8:45Speaker 1: a lot more to have any impacts. But Jewels, I
- 8:47Speaker 1: think we're having quite an interesting battle heat up, aren't
- 8:49Speaker 1: we at the bottom? Menu race to not finish at
- 8:53Speaker 1: the bottom?
- 8:54Speaker 2: Isn't it to our mini league? At the moment? Sam's
- 8:56Speaker 2: on seventy three points this week, got seven hundred and
- 8:59Speaker 2: seventy overall. Ian who by the way, once.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Again, I didn't storm in her very average start, And
- 9:04Speaker 1: it was around this time last year because my daughter's
- 9:06Speaker 1: just turned one, And it was around this time last
- 9:08Speaker 1: year that Ian joined the pod for a while and
- 9:10Speaker 1: kind of became our project for a few months, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: he was down in I can't remember where he was
- 9:14Speaker 1: last season and we helped in inverted commers.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I was buy here.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Him gets to a really good rank by the end
- 9:19Speaker 1: of the season. But he's doing it again. He got
- 9:20Speaker 1: eighty five points this game week. He's had a couple
- 9:22Speaker 1: of really strong game weeks. He's in seven five to four.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm in third place with seven two seven. I got
- 9:28Speaker 1: seventy five points this game week and Jews's fourth, just
- 9:33Speaker 1: ten points behind me on sixty one. So Jews was
- 9:35Speaker 1: above me each week. We're kind of flip flopping each
- 9:37Speaker 1: other at the moment. So the rivalry between the two
- 9:40Speaker 1: of us, I think is only going to get more intense.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And I'm gonna hold my hand up Jels. I don't
- 9:44Speaker 1: think you'll know about this. Sam might doing had a
- 9:46Speaker 1: bit of a Cole Palmer moment last week again, So
- 9:50Speaker 1: I obviously present the Fantasy Show on Friday, and I
- 9:52Speaker 1: know lots of our listeners also watched that, and when
- 9:55Speaker 1: we did the usual part at the end of the
- 9:56Speaker 1: show where we talk about captains and we had Harry
- 9:58Speaker 1: on and Harry Harry Sam doesn't he has an amazing
- 10:02Speaker 1: history in FPL.
- 10:02Speaker 2: He always finishes top ten. K Yeah, well, no, it's
- 10:06Speaker 2: even better than that.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I think.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I think something like over the last I'm going to
- 10:09Speaker 2: get the stats wrong, but something like over the last
- 10:11Speaker 2: five seasons, if you rank them all together, he's ranked
- 10:15Speaker 2: number two in the whole world.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So geors, he comes into the studio and I'm like, wow,
- 10:19Speaker 1: my team's quite similar to it. So I was quite pleased. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 1: he's one of those FPR managers you know, you go,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I've got to listen to you because he's like the
- 10:25Speaker 1: best of the best.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Harry.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he's really really good and he's been a great
- 10:28Speaker 1: addition to us in the studio. So anyway, he came in,
- 10:30Speaker 1: we get onto the captaincy bit, and remember the intro
- 10:33Speaker 1: to last week's podcast, I said, soccer is the standout
- 10:35Speaker 1: captaincy option. Yeah, I sat in the studio with him.
- 10:38Speaker 1: We did it again and again on air. I said
- 10:40Speaker 1: to him or Saker got I think it was either.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think it was fourteen points or sixteen points against
- 10:44Speaker 1: west Ham last year. Gave him all these great soccer stats.
- 10:47Speaker 1: He told me he was captain in Sala. I was
- 10:49Speaker 1: on soccer until fifteen minutes for the deadline. I panicked
- 10:51Speaker 1: and moved it to Sala. Why do I keep doing
- 10:54Speaker 1: this where like I make I mean, in the end,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Salah was fine, but I would have been like ten
- 10:58Speaker 1: points or ten year ten. So it's I could have
- 11:03Speaker 1: had a really really good game week and be looking
- 11:06Speaker 1: at score. I really need to get to kind of
- 11:07Speaker 1: climb and improve my rank. But it wasn't quite a
- 11:10Speaker 1: cold Palmer moment. But loads of people again, we're tweeting me,
- 11:12Speaker 1: like Harry tweeted like I should have listened to Kelly
- 11:14Speaker 1: and Dunzakara as captain, and I was.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Like, yeah about that. I didn't do it, and then
- 11:18Speaker 2: everyone found that hilarious. So glad of some amusement.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Obviously, if I was an FPR manager that listened to
- 11:24Speaker 1: some of the good advice I took, i'd i'd be
- 11:26Speaker 1: a far better actual manager.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But there we are.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm never going to change, am I. So yeah, seventy
- 11:31Speaker 1: five points for me not too bad. Okay, let's check
- 11:33Speaker 1: in on the FPL Pod Mini League. James White is
- 11:36Speaker 1: still top. He got eighty two points. Jake pop Blowski
- 11:39Speaker 1: is second though he got over one hundred one hundred
- 11:42Speaker 1: and three points. He went all the way from second
- 11:44Speaker 1: to twelve. Jeffrey Langham also made it into the one
- 11:47Speaker 1: hundred point club. He got one hundred and seven points.
- 11:49Speaker 1: He went from thirty six up to seventh. So it
- 11:52Speaker 1: does show just one good game week one, right Captaincy
- 11:55Speaker 1: or the like, and you can't really jump up that
- 11:58Speaker 1: league if you do want to join us. A reminded
- 11:59Speaker 1: the co wh is Q seven. Y see the letter
- 12:02Speaker 1: O the number zero. So Game Week thirteen finished with
- 12:06Speaker 1: that bumper game between Liverpool and Manchester City. The reason
- 12:09Speaker 1: we're with you on a Monday is because, of.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Course it's the first. Is the first of this season?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Is that midweek round?
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:14Speaker 1: I think so is, isn't it? Yeah, it's the first
- 12:16Speaker 1: mid week round. I don't know, jeez, I don't know why.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't trust you to ask that. I asked Sam
- 12:20Speaker 1: you would know as well. Sorry, Also it turns out
- 12:23Speaker 1: I knew as well.
- 12:24Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Game Week fourteen kicks off just forty eight hours after
- 12:27Speaker 1: the completion of that match. So probably by the time
- 12:29Speaker 1: you listen to this, it'll be at the earliest sometime
- 12:32Speaker 1: on Monday afternoon, you'll have just over twenty four hours.
- 12:34Speaker 1: If you listen into this after Monday evening Tuesday morning,
- 12:38Speaker 1: you've got less than twenty four hours. Your deadline is
- 12:41Speaker 1: six o'clock on Tuesday evening. That is nineteen minutes head
- 12:44Speaker 1: of Ipswich versus Crystal Palace. There is so much football
- 12:47Speaker 1: cross Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, all of it on TV.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You can watch it all here in the UK, So
- 12:53Speaker 1: it's going to be a really good week, particularly if
- 12:55Speaker 1: you are an FPL manager. And we've already reflected I
- 12:58Speaker 1: think on some of the talking points our teams from
- 13:00Speaker 1: game week thirteen, but Sam, I feel like, because there
- 13:02Speaker 1: is no off the bench, we do need to maybe
- 13:04Speaker 1: delve into a few of the other talking points that
- 13:06Speaker 1: could have affected other people's teams.
- 13:08Speaker 2: What are the other headlines that you've taken away from
- 13:10Speaker 2: the weekend? I mean, there was loads wasn't there this weekend?
- 13:13Speaker 2: And I think in terms of FPR we've got well,
- 13:15Speaker 2: As Jews mentioned at the beginning, the conversation about which
- 13:17Speaker 2: are the right premiums to own comes back up again
- 13:20Speaker 2: because I was looking at the numbers, and you know,
- 13:23Speaker 2: when you look at what Harlan's been doing since game
- 13:26Speaker 2: week six, it's crazy to think about how few points
- 13:31Speaker 2: he's got. So he sits ninety eighth for points scored
- 13:35Speaker 2: out of all the FPL players over that period of
- 13:37Speaker 2: time twenty three points. That's like clower than players like Mikaelenko,
- 13:42Speaker 2: which is mad and he got Manus one this weekend. Yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 2: he's in my team. Yeah, and I didn't bring him
- 13:49Speaker 2: up because of that, but yeah, that's madness, right, And
- 13:52Speaker 2: at a time when you're seeing performances from Salah and
- 13:55Speaker 2: from Soccer and from Palma, and Bruno is cheaper and
- 13:59Speaker 2: has been performing all season, but we bracket him in
- 14:01Speaker 2: there now because he's still in that sort of lowish
- 14:05Speaker 2: premium price point, it's starting to become quite difficult, and
- 14:08Speaker 2: so I think we end up having more of that
- 14:10Speaker 2: conversation that comes back around again. We've also this week
- 14:13Speaker 2: seen both Salah and Palmer have heavier ownership than Harlem
- 14:17Speaker 2: for the first time this season. He's dropped to fifty
- 14:19Speaker 2: percent now and so it isn't the most heavily owned
- 14:22Speaker 2: player in the game. Anymore. So, I think I think
- 14:25Speaker 2: that is one of the massive talking points this week
- 14:27Speaker 2: is what do you do now? Do you do what
- 14:29Speaker 2: Geors is doing and just say well, at some point
- 14:31Speaker 2: it's got to end and stay loyal to him, or
- 14:34Speaker 2: do you start to redistribute the money and have two
- 14:36Speaker 2: of these other assets? Like that feels like the overriding
- 14:40Speaker 2: conversation in the community right now, and Game Week thirteen
- 14:43Speaker 2: hasn't done anything to change that conversation. Jeels, you touched
- 14:48Speaker 2: upon it before.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry to put you back to talking about it again,
- 14:52Speaker 1: but it feels like maybe you're starting to kind of
- 14:57Speaker 1: want to.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Move Yeah, because before we explain, even his own XG
- 15:02Speaker 4: was decent, he was missing chances. By some point, somebody
- 15:05Speaker 4: like him was going to take those chances and score
- 15:07Speaker 4: goals and get a lot of points. Yesterday he had
- 15:11Speaker 4: no chances. There was no movement, There was no wingers.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I mean, I don't even know how City thought they
- 15:15Speaker 4: could score goals until Doku and Savigno came on. No Caven,
- 15:19Speaker 4: Lebrun or Foden is the ghost of himself? Like that,
- 15:24Speaker 4: the whole team by the way halland had one shot
- 15:27Speaker 4: a zero opened twelve XG and that was it. The
- 15:29Speaker 4: other one was a block shot. He had six passes,
- 15:32Speaker 4: sixteen in touch. I mean it was when I said
- 15:34Speaker 4: miserable earlier, it was really a miserable day. And yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 4: I know it's Van Dyke, and I know it's Liverpool
- 15:38Speaker 4: and away from Okay, no problem, but for the first
- 15:42Speaker 4: time really I felt like, okay, this is this is
- 15:45Speaker 4: not on because also it's great. I think it's great
- 15:48Speaker 4: for the show because there would be still fifty percent
- 15:50Speaker 4: of the managers in my position, so it's still it's
- 15:52Speaker 4: still relevant for a lot of people. And we are
- 15:55Speaker 4: still talking about Earling Halland's and Manster City and god
- 15:58Speaker 4: et cetera.
- 15:59Speaker 3: But there's yesterday. I didn't think.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I was thinking like, oh man, if only you know
- 16:04Speaker 4: I had Palma and Parma didn't score until the eighty
- 16:06Speaker 4: third minute, So until he didn't score, I was like, Okay,
- 16:08Speaker 4: it's not too bad because the Parama owners will have
- 16:11Speaker 4: his assist and maybe a few bonus points. But then
- 16:13Speaker 4: he's got Parama's goal changes everything by the way too,
- 16:17Speaker 4: So yeah, it was. It was not good. And of
- 16:19Speaker 4: course I every I think every Holland owner and I
- 16:22Speaker 4: should think, what do we do because it's Forest at
- 16:25Speaker 4: home on this midweek when Chelsea aware Southampton, for example,
- 16:29Speaker 4: So if you don't own Palmer, there's there's a there's
- 16:32Speaker 4: a big possibility that Palma smashes it again away Southampton
- 16:36Speaker 4: and gets more return while halland at home to Forest
- 16:39Speaker 4: Forest could do a job defensively like they did the
- 16:41Speaker 4: wear Liverpool when they won't over there a couple of
- 16:43Speaker 4: months ago. So it's just it's just mad. But I
- 16:46Speaker 4: feel like Halean is my project in a way. I
- 16:48Speaker 4: want to send him a love love. I want, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 4: to cuddle in before.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Chris Stump and aren't you Joe, And I feel like
- 16:53Speaker 1: the more we talk about it, the more we say it,
- 16:55Speaker 1: you're like, no, no, should.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Have indicated the day's called had like on Wednesday and
- 17:01Speaker 4: you don't have missed came moreously I've missed that, like
- 17:07Speaker 4: like like Sam said, sorry. Since game week six, him
- 17:11Speaker 4: and Hallen has twenty three points and ranks ninety eight
- 17:15Speaker 4: in the ranking. That's a lot of points compared I
- 17:17Speaker 4: don't know how many Paama got or or Soaka got
- 17:21Speaker 4: or even I don't know.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Soaker got sixty three, pal I got sixty one. Can
- 17:26Speaker 2: you imagine time.
- 17:27Speaker 4: So that's like three times more than what Hallan got.
- 17:31Speaker 4: So you're your rank like if you're like me and
- 17:34Speaker 4: had Hallan since game week six and not Parama or cycle.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It's not too similar to me. Bear in mind, I
- 17:38Speaker 2: only sold him last game week.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I didn't love Salar until this game week, and Salary
- 17:42Speaker 1: over that point period's got eighty two points.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So I'm that's why my rank is so pod.
- 17:47Speaker 4: That's where that's where we are, where we are really,
- 17:49Speaker 4: And to be fair, now we know with hands heights
- 17:52Speaker 4: that having had I've changed it.
- 17:54Speaker 2: You haven't.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Yeah, no, yeah, you've only changed it for one game week.
- 17:58Speaker 4: But the point is that Hallan was clearly a mistake.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Keeping him with a mistake. Now I feel like I've
- 18:03Speaker 4: kept him for so long, may as well wait until
- 18:05Speaker 4: because the next game my Forest Palace United.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Does feel like you may be waiting too long now
- 18:10Speaker 2: because now the US are about to be a bit better, So.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I'm not sure if he's going to return anyway.
- 18:14Speaker 1: So no, so as it stands, would you sell him
- 18:19Speaker 1: ahead of this game? And of course it's a mid
- 18:21Speaker 1: week round, there's less turnaround time. I don't know if
- 18:24Speaker 1: that affects you're thinking or if maybe you need a
- 18:25Speaker 1: bit more time.
- 18:26Speaker 4: I also want to get rid of Mbomo and Rogers.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Rogers and Villa have in tablet and they've got better.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Pictures coming out.
- 18:32Speaker 2: You transfer to got JEWS four.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I think this game week I've.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Never had that many. That's exciting. Jeeles.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Yeah, you could do everything.
- 18:40Speaker 2: You can change nearly half your team, fix it all.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Maybe maybe that's what I'm going to do. But too
- 18:46Speaker 4: much work between now and the deadlines.
- 18:48Speaker 1: It's going to say, do you really think mister the
- 18:50Speaker 1: busiest man in TV radio, everyone every other medium podcast
- 18:53Speaker 1: is going to have enough time when there's only forty
- 18:55Speaker 1: eight hours between No, we're.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Privileged to have him on here. To be honest, it's
- 19:00Speaker 2: going to make.
- 19:02Speaker 1: But just maybe you have a think about it and
- 19:05Speaker 1: use the games in midweek to kind of help educate
- 19:07Speaker 1: your decisions, and then the weekend you'll be ready. So
- 19:10Speaker 1: when we speak again on Thursday morning, you're actually Thursday
- 19:13Speaker 1: morning you won't you still want to have decided to Well, there's.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Two games as well, isn't there on Thursday night? Through?
- 19:19Speaker 1: And okay, let's rattle through, rattle through. I promise myself.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that on this podcast. That phrase a
- 19:25Speaker 1: phrase for rattle through.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Just just rattle through. We can't say it's phrase happy.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Let's race through.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Now, I don't want to race because race sounds like
- 19:35Speaker 1: we're trying to hurriage and get to the end. And
- 19:38Speaker 1: we're on ye, So well you know we're not. No,
- 19:41Speaker 1: we're not okay some of the other talking points. Let's
- 19:44Speaker 1: try and get through them quickly so that we can
- 19:45Speaker 1: bring listeners up to speed and also then look head
- 19:47Speaker 1: to game week fourteen. So the Harlan conundrum is an issue.
- 19:50Speaker 1: So and what are you going to be doing with
- 19:52Speaker 1: Bruno Fernandez because he's returning.
- 19:55Speaker 2: He looked good.
- 19:56Speaker 1: United looked good as well. Actually didn't They Probably worth
- 19:58Speaker 1: us having a quick check in on them.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, He returned really nicely again, so I know
- 20:04Speaker 2: that I had the blank hat of him last week,
- 20:05Speaker 2: but obviously got the seventeen points of the week before
- 20:07Speaker 2: and a couple of assists this time around. Was pictured
- 20:10Speaker 2: with ice on his foot after he gets subbed, so
- 20:12Speaker 2: we have to just keep it a eye on that.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Marcus Fashford in that one as well, scored two goals
- 20:17Speaker 2: and gets bonus point fourteen points. That's his first double
- 20:21Speaker 2: digit return since game week thirty three of the twenty
- 20:25Speaker 2: two to twenty three season. What the last season? No,
- 20:28Speaker 2: which I was amazed by. Where's that come from? This
- 20:34Speaker 2: is when we're off the bench, stats come in handy,
- 20:37Speaker 2: like any to keep sprinkling them. Yeah, I love a
- 20:42Speaker 2: bit of an FBL stats on and off the bench
- 20:44Speaker 2: on a Monday morning.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 2: So I think I think Manchester United it look okay.
- 20:50Speaker 2: The opposition wasn't great and it's going to be very,
- 20:54Speaker 2: very different opposition in midweek. But I think we're at
- 20:58Speaker 2: a point now where we're starting to see the reemergence
- 21:01Speaker 2: of players like Bruno. And I know that it's new
- 21:05Speaker 2: manager Bounce and all of that stuff, and I know
- 21:07Speaker 2: that the fixtures over the next couple of weeks are
- 21:10Speaker 2: a little bit mixed, and the last three were the
- 21:12Speaker 2: ones that you really wanted investment in. But I think
- 21:14Speaker 2: with Bruno, I kind of feel like I'm ahead of
- 21:17Speaker 2: a curve a little bit by having him. So he's
- 21:19Speaker 2: not a player that I want to take out right now.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I'm going to hold him and even if that means
- 21:23Speaker 2: that I'm going into the midweek game very very very
- 21:27Speaker 2: heavily invested in that one fixture, which I don't enjoy.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I still think it makes a lot of sense to hold,
- 21:34Speaker 2: and I think the positive thing from an FPL perspective though,
- 21:37Speaker 2: is that if you don't want to spend the Bruno
- 21:39Speaker 2: Fernandez level of budget, you don't appear to have to
- 21:43Speaker 2: right now because Marcus Fash would perform well in this one.
- 21:46Speaker 2: But there were other Manchester United players as well that
- 21:48Speaker 2: did really well. Armed for a start, I mean, he's
- 21:51Speaker 2: so much cheaper than everybody else and playing in that
- 21:54Speaker 2: wing back position, he's doing what I was hoping Dallo
- 21:57Speaker 2: was going to do on the other side, and I
- 21:58Speaker 2: haven't had that level of attack returns yet from Dallai.
- 22:01Speaker 2: But obviously get gets med a clean sheet. So yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 2: Manchester United feel like if you invested there a hold.
- 22:07Speaker 2: If you aren't, probably feel like you can afford to
- 22:10Speaker 2: wait until after this game in midweek and then invest. Jules,
- 22:14Speaker 2: what do you think about United? I know you're quite
- 22:16Speaker 2: excited or intrigued by their prospects on drama.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Yeah, No, I think they look They look much better
- 22:21Speaker 4: for sure, because they didn't that great before and obviously
- 22:25Speaker 4: they had the manager that was not very good night.
- 22:27Speaker 4: They've got a good manager. I mean, they scored four
- 22:29Speaker 4: goals yesterday from the next year zero point seventy three,
- 22:32Speaker 4: so they would like a little bit. They played well,
- 22:35Speaker 4: but for the first half hour Everton were probably the
- 22:37Speaker 4: better team like budog Lim twere on Thursday in the
- 22:40Speaker 4: Europa League for most of that first stuff as well,
- 22:42Speaker 4: So it's far from being perfect, but at least they're winning.
- 22:45Speaker 4: You can see the momentum. There's this game again starts
- 22:48Speaker 4: and then they play City two games later. So the
- 22:50Speaker 4: next two of the next three games are against the
- 22:53Speaker 4: two of the top teams in the league, so it
- 22:55Speaker 4: could be very different. But I agree with some I
- 22:58Speaker 4: think if you have them, keep it.
- 22:59Speaker 3: If you're players, keep them.
- 23:00Speaker 4: If you don't have them, just maybe wait a little
- 23:02Speaker 4: bit before bringing them them after the City game.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Probably.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Okay, let's talk a little bit about Arsenal then, because
- 23:08Speaker 1: I mean I watched pretty much all of that game
- 23:10Speaker 1: on Saturday night, and Jules, you must have enjoyed that
- 23:13Speaker 1: because it's everyone said it. But you can't really understate
- 23:17Speaker 1: the impact that oder guard has had on his return.
- 23:20Speaker 1: And also I know you you guys aren't soccer owners,
- 23:23Speaker 1: but how worried are you because Oder Guard seems to
- 23:26Speaker 1: like soccer was still consistent when God wasn't playing, but
- 23:28Speaker 1: he seems to really take him to the next level.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Their partnership is pretty special.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Yeah, incredible. I mean because you said after the sporting game.
- 23:36Speaker 4: I think that as soon as you saw that old
- 23:38Speaker 4: Guard was fit again to play, he had a massive
- 23:40Speaker 4: smile on his face because he knew, like everybody at
- 23:42Speaker 4: the club, not just even after tell the players that
- 23:44Speaker 4: things were going to change with or the gud coming back.
- 23:46Speaker 4: I think they are players and Roger is another one
- 23:49Speaker 4: and Salah probably too, talked about it yesterday on BBC
- 23:52Speaker 4: five Life two on the show.
- 23:54Speaker 3: You can't just can't replace.
- 23:55Speaker 4: You can have a back up and you can have
- 23:57Speaker 4: another player who can play in that position, but it's
- 24:00Speaker 4: just not the same.
- 24:00Speaker 3: And for two or three games you can maybe be
- 24:02Speaker 3: okay without them, but for more than that you're you're not.
- 24:06Speaker 4: It's too difficult. So the guy coming back is massive.
- 24:09Speaker 4: The penalty routine which interesting, but we had it last season.
- 24:15Speaker 4: I can't remember which game, but they they gave the
- 24:18Speaker 4: boat to each other, et cetera. I think it's quite fluid,
- 24:20Speaker 4: and who takes the penalty between them two and the
- 24:23Speaker 4: file was on, So I don't forget on the first penalty,
- 24:25Speaker 4: and often maybe if you just got kicked and you
- 24:28Speaker 4: don't really feel like it, but I knew the second
- 24:32Speaker 4: penalty would be taken by Soca. And it's it's again
- 24:34Speaker 4: the said pieces because his to his assist is on
- 24:36Speaker 4: set peace for the Gabrielle goal, and it's just a.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Shame that defensively they let those two goals go because.
- 24:42Speaker 4: West Ham didn't really offer anything going forward and it's
- 24:45Speaker 4: just then, yeah, but it was never fun in the
- 24:50Speaker 4: first place, because right, I don't packet that threw himself
- 24:53Speaker 4: on the floor and the referee the file and then
- 24:55Speaker 4: the first goal is half asleep and then one bestacle
- 24:59Speaker 4: of all people go in and score go So it
- 25:01Speaker 4: could have easily have been a clean sheet for Gabrielle
- 25:05Speaker 4: owner Sally, but owners Raya, owners like some would have
- 25:07Speaker 4: hadn't even bet at week, being the end of a
- 25:09Speaker 4: great performance from Arsenal, I'd Raya and timbermought, yeah you had.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Both of them, So I was not a happy bunny
- 25:17Speaker 2: when those girls went in.
- 25:19Speaker 1: In terms of soccer, you guys don't have him as
- 25:21Speaker 1: I said before, Jules, we've spoken about you being concerned about.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Harland, but both of you.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Really because yeah.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Sam, do you have to move Bruno want to be
- 25:30Speaker 1: able to get soccer. You've got money in the bank
- 25:33Speaker 1: in the bank, haven't you. No, I've already bought soccer in.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I did it yesterday. I did it, and I didn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: want to sell brinif and so I did it for
- 25:40Speaker 1: oh nice transfers to be able to make. I would like, well,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I have, I would like I think both jewels and
- 25:44Speaker 1: I have said already that we would quite like to
- 25:45Speaker 1: sell them.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah. So now I've got midfield four that has Palmer, Bruno,
- 25:50Speaker 2: Salah and soccer cool. That is ultimate premium the benefit
- 25:52Speaker 2: of selling Harland, isn't it exactly? So I'm pretty much
- 25:56Speaker 2: in love with that Midfield four now. But yeah, I
- 26:00Speaker 2: just watch that game and as soon it was horrible
- 26:03Speaker 2: watching it without soccer, and I did at one point
- 26:06Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, could I is it the right
- 26:09Speaker 2: thing to do to get soccer? Was kind of my
- 26:11Speaker 2: thought going into the game. Or should I just get
- 26:12Speaker 2: Urdergarde and stn save some money because as Joe said,
- 26:15Speaker 2: he's been so important so he's come back from injury,
- 26:18Speaker 2: He's had eleven key passes in that team. That's more
- 26:20Speaker 2: than anybody else. Obviously, he returns, gets the penalty. That's
- 26:24Speaker 2: three successive matches of returns. Now soccer, though, is just
- 26:28Speaker 2: on a different level, isn't he. And I think when
- 26:31Speaker 2: you're looking at how you spend your money in fl
- 26:34Speaker 2: you wants to spend it on people that you feel
- 26:36Speaker 2: are as guaranteed as possible to get attacking returns for
- 26:41Speaker 2: you in that team. And you know, he gets the goal,
- 26:45Speaker 2: he gets three assists. It's his second successive double digital.
- 26:49Speaker 2: He has now created thirty five chances this season. It's
- 26:52Speaker 2: the most of any player in the game. And he's
- 26:56Speaker 2: got eleven assists, which is at least five more than
- 26:59Speaker 2: any other player in the game. So when you're talking
- 27:01Speaker 2: about somebody that is sometimes on penalties, but he's always
- 27:05Speaker 2: in the conversation for the penalties, has good goal threat
- 27:09Speaker 2: of his own, but also has that level of attacking
- 27:13Speaker 2: threat and creativity from set pieces, in particular from corners
- 27:17Speaker 2: with Gabrielle. That means it's just ridiculous how often that works.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I just don't think that there's anyone else in the
- 27:24Speaker 2: game really at the moment, who apart from Salah, who
- 27:28Speaker 2: I would consistently say is the most likely to every
- 27:32Speaker 2: week get you something. And I was watching this game.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I just and I tried to cover it this week
- 27:38Speaker 2: a little bit because I didn't want to sell him
- 27:40Speaker 2: on ahead of that game against Leicester because I thought
- 27:42Speaker 2: it would be high scoring and it was just not
- 27:44Speaker 2: for him, and so I wanted to wait a week
- 27:47Speaker 2: and I thought, okay, well, if I bring in Timber,
- 27:49Speaker 2: then at least I've got the double Arsenal clean sheet,
- 27:52Speaker 2: which is bound to stick against west Ham. When that
- 27:55Speaker 2: went and Soaker was returning and Gabrielle was getting attacking
- 27:58Speaker 2: returns as well, I was like, this game is going
- 28:00Speaker 2: to kill me, and it did for a while. So
- 28:03Speaker 2: I fixed that as quickly as possible. Now I'm traveled
- 28:05Speaker 2: up on Arsenal. Okay, Jules, you're going to be able
- 28:08Speaker 2: to get him. You're not going to be able to.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Write, you know, I can.
- 28:10Speaker 4: If I say, if I sell Highland, it's always the same.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I can get to Psycha and Palma pretty easily. We're
- 28:15Speaker 4: selling Highland and Bore probably the move, you know, it's
- 28:21Speaker 4: not too difficult to make, so but that's it's always
- 28:24Speaker 4: the same, you know.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, let's go through to try and right away,
- 28:30Speaker 1: Producer Jesse is sending some sent in as if he's
- 28:32Speaker 1: like sending into a mailbox.
- 28:33Speaker 2: He's actually just what's up to me.
- 28:35Speaker 1: And said, speed through, push on, crack on, that's what
- 28:38Speaker 1: we need to do right now, let's try. So let's
- 28:41Speaker 1: try and bump through a few players. Positionally, forwards, we've
- 28:44Speaker 1: spoken on this podcast, we've spoken to our friends, we've
- 28:47Speaker 1: spoken on the Fancy Show so much about how there's
- 28:49Speaker 1: some great budget forward options and that's part of the
- 28:51Speaker 1: reason that selling Horland has been so attractive. But a
- 28:54Speaker 1: few did have problems this week, didn't they Sam Really,
- 28:56Speaker 1: if you think about it, Kuonia and Pedro. Everyone was
- 28:59Speaker 1: rushing to bring them in. Kuna was the most transferred in.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think Pedro was the second. And yeah, both of
- 29:05Speaker 1: those two blanked are really frustrating starts the game. Week
- 29:07Speaker 1: with Pedro, then we also saw Esak, who I bought
- 29:10Speaker 1: in and a lot of managers have been bringing in
- 29:11Speaker 1: as well. Was he came off injured inside the opening
- 29:14Speaker 1: twenty five minutes of that game at Crystal Palace, And
- 29:16Speaker 1: of course Silanky missed the game through illness as well.
- 29:19Speaker 1: So this week again it felt like if you weren't
- 29:23Speaker 1: on the exact right forwards, you.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Didn't get points. Yeah, and I think that's acceptable when
- 29:28Speaker 2: they're at the price point that you're talking about. I
- 29:29Speaker 2: think he sects a bit a bit different because at
- 29:31Speaker 2: his price point you want him to return all the time.
- 29:33Speaker 2: But with the rest of the guys that you've just listed,
- 29:36Speaker 2: I kind of feel like we shouldn't necessarily be expecting
- 29:40Speaker 2: them to get returns every week because they're like six
- 29:42Speaker 2: six and a half million, so the fact that they
- 29:44Speaker 2: are most weeks is good. There were a couple of
- 29:47Speaker 2: good performances, weren't there. Evan Nilsen should deserve a shower
- 29:51Speaker 2: out here because we never really talk about him. Produces
- 29:54Speaker 2: his hat trick and assists to win three penalties, the
- 29:57Speaker 2: first time that's ever happened in the Premier League, and
- 29:59Speaker 2: then Clive obviously forishing all three of them off. That's
- 30:01Speaker 2: his first double digit hole for Bournemouth. But over the
- 30:04Speaker 2: last six game weeks, Evan Nelson's got forty one f
- 30:07Speaker 2: PL points, which is mad, isn't it. Well put him
- 30:10Speaker 2: in Ian had him. Yeah, it's consistent and I think,
- 30:14Speaker 2: you know, in midweek he's going to come up against
- 30:16Speaker 2: the Spurs defense that just leak goals, and I think
- 30:21Speaker 2: he'll do he'll do well there and Burs statistically don't
- 30:24Speaker 2: do well on small pitches, and so obviously going down
- 30:26Speaker 2: to Bournemouth is much smaller pitch than just true. Honestly, genuinely,
- 30:31Speaker 2: it's true.
- 30:32Speaker 3: The same size pretty much.
- 30:36Speaker 2: They on you. There's a difference. Honestly, I'll send you
- 30:39Speaker 2: some stats after this pictures. Really they travel really badly
- 30:46Speaker 2: sum because there's there's there's they don't have to be
- 30:51Speaker 2: exactly social media. I'm going to send you. You know,
- 31:00Speaker 2: our rules, so I know they were tiny, they're not.
- 31:04Speaker 3: The differences are not that big.
- 31:05Speaker 2: It's slightly narrower, but it does make a difference. And
- 31:08Speaker 2: if you have a look at the statistics Spurs traveling
- 31:11Speaker 2: away to teams with the wide slightly wider pitches they make,
- 31:16Speaker 2: there are more that are the same size as the
- 31:18Speaker 2: Spurs one. It makes a difference. Anyway, My point is
- 31:21Speaker 2: is that I think we will I think we'll struggle
- 31:23Speaker 2: down at Bornemouth in midweek. I don't think that's going
- 31:24Speaker 2: to be an easy fixture and I think that Evan Neilson,
- 31:26Speaker 2: if you if you want to cheap I honestly think
- 31:29Speaker 2: if you want to cheap what Wood, He's another one
- 31:31Speaker 2: that you can have a lookout. I had Chris Wood
- 31:33Speaker 2: in my team this week. He gets the penalty conversion,
- 31:36Speaker 2: but it was the only shot during the game, so
- 31:38Speaker 2: I do feel I was kind of lucky, to be honest,
- 31:41Speaker 2: to get that, and not only that, he also gets
- 31:44Speaker 2: the three bonus points because it was a low scoring game,
- 31:46Speaker 2: so I was also like, I feel like I've got
- 31:49Speaker 2: away with one a little bit. And then when you
- 31:51Speaker 2: look at the underlying stats, only Harlan's got more points
- 31:54Speaker 2: than he has from the forwards so far this season.
- 31:56Speaker 2: So yeah, it was a little bit of a week
- 31:58Speaker 2: of if you were on the right one, you did
- 32:00Speaker 2: really well. If you weren't on the right one, you didn't.
- 32:04Speaker 2: And again, I guess the Solanky thing is a prime
- 32:07Speaker 2: example of why the bench has to be decent at
- 32:11Speaker 2: the moment, because if you lose a player like Selanky,
- 32:14Speaker 2: who is my most premium forward right now, I was
- 32:19Speaker 2: looking at my bench and I was like, okay, well
- 32:21Speaker 2: it's fine because Louistle is there. I also have Morgan
- 32:25Speaker 2: Rodgers on my bench, so and had to set Brandenberg. Now,
- 32:28Speaker 2: all three of them come on and they played, and
- 32:30Speaker 2: they would have got exactly the same points actually as
- 32:31Speaker 2: it happened in the end, but at least there was
- 32:34Speaker 2: a bench option there. And I think you just need
- 32:35Speaker 2: to be aware that this not necessarily illness, but rotation
- 32:40Speaker 2: will happen over the next few weeks, so be prepared
- 32:43Speaker 2: for it and make sure you can cover it.
- 32:44Speaker 4: I've just looked by the way I've turned the Spurs
- 32:47Speaker 4: pitch and the Borne With pitch exactly the same size.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Find the.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Time sixty eight meters.
- 32:53Speaker 2: So you're going to win well, Jewels, I don't think
- 32:57Speaker 2: we can ever say the Spurs are going to win
- 32:58Speaker 2: with that much Shirtain say no comment. We're going to
- 33:03Speaker 2: move on to game week fourteen.
- 33:04Speaker 4: But I'm quickly because we're presisdent before and it's not
- 33:07Speaker 4: you know, it's good to have him. I think he
- 33:08Speaker 4: had one touch in the opposition box at the weekend,
- 33:11Speaker 4: and you could be Ronaldo, Christiano Massie, whoever. You want
- 33:14Speaker 4: one touch in the box. You can't do march with it.
- 33:17Speaker 4: So that's the problem. They could not get close to
- 33:20Speaker 4: the bomb with goal outside of strand Lawson obviously, and
- 33:23Speaker 4: that was.
- 33:24Speaker 2: The problem for I'm in this week. I'll thank him
- 33:28Speaker 2: for your Oh no, I can't think him for your point.
- 33:30Speaker 2: You didn't have them. That's the kind.
- 33:36Speaker 3: It was different.
- 33:37Speaker 2: We haven't got onto not long last week.
- 33:42Speaker 1: You're not getting any credits before this descendance chaos as
- 33:45Speaker 1: it normally does. Jews, I'm surprised you haven't brought up
- 33:47Speaker 1: the fact that I didn't get an assist.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Were you not annoyed that? Thank god?
- 33:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you're reminded me. Now that's an absolute joke.
- 33:54Speaker 1: FPL pro Do you want the exact wording the reasoning
- 33:57Speaker 1: the past from intended for Visa but was diverted.
- 34:00Speaker 2: To Charlotte after a touch from Samara.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I Meanmari doesn't even mean that.
- 34:05Speaker 4: Like the touch is just how many times we've been
- 34:07Speaker 4: in this position and the guy go and assist and
- 34:11Speaker 4: for the gold is exactly the same.
- 34:12Speaker 3: You know, sometimes you you shoot and yet.
- 34:15Speaker 4: It might have been on target maybe, but the deflection
- 34:17Speaker 4: makes the whole gold itself and they still get the points.
- 34:21Speaker 4: I was fuming about that, really few.
- 34:23Speaker 1: But you would have been there, go wind them up
- 34:24Speaker 1: and let them go and c Thank you very much
- 34:26Speaker 1: sures I'd have been disappointed if you didn't do that.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Right, I'm going to move on then to Game week fourteen.
- 34:32Speaker 1: It is a midweek game week. I've got to be honest,
- 34:33Speaker 1: this is one of my always one of my least
- 34:34Speaker 1: favorite game meets of the season, because you never quite
- 34:37Speaker 1: know about rotation. If you do want to make transfers,
- 34:40Speaker 1: like Joel said, you don't have much time to decide,
- 34:43Speaker 1: and it does feel like often the players you bring
- 34:45Speaker 1: it often end up being one's benched. I remember a
- 34:47Speaker 1: few years ago in this game week, I think I
- 34:48Speaker 1: got like twenty or thirty points, just because if you're
- 34:51Speaker 1: on the wrong players in the midweeks, it.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Feels like it can really punish you a lot.
- 34:55Speaker 1: And also, the press conferences are kind of so condensed
- 34:58Speaker 1: into a couple of days at this point recording, and
- 35:00Speaker 1: we haven't heard from any managers whatsoever the majority. And
- 35:04Speaker 1: also actually, no, I just thought there's probably going to
- 35:05Speaker 1: be press conferences on Wednesday after the deadline, will yeah
- 35:08Speaker 1: on Thursday for Thursday. Yeah, it's going to be It's
- 35:11Speaker 1: going to be a really tough one to navigate. Do
- 35:13Speaker 1: you do things differently for these kinds of game weeks, Sam.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I think you just have to react. I think that's
- 35:20Speaker 2: all you can do. I think with a midwek round
- 35:21Speaker 2: of fixtures you have to be a bit different because
- 35:24Speaker 2: for the weekend, or you could you have a whole
- 35:28Speaker 2: week to think about it. You can listen to every
- 35:30Speaker 2: press conference if you want to, or you can just
- 35:32Speaker 2: read the key points of the main press conferences. You
- 35:35Speaker 2: have time to kind of ponder on what you're going
- 35:37Speaker 2: to do with the midweek round. You just don't have time,
- 35:39Speaker 2: like we've got a deadline in like what twenty just
- 35:42Speaker 2: over twenty four hours time as we're recording this, and
- 35:46Speaker 2: people will change quickly. Price rises will happen quicker at
- 35:49Speaker 2: this point because people will be jumping on and off players.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I think all you can do is get the best
- 35:54Speaker 2: players you can and try to avoid players that are
- 35:56Speaker 2: injured or have potential to be injured or ill or whatever.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I went early last night because I just couldn't go
- 36:07Speaker 2: for another week of not having soccer, even though that
- 36:09Speaker 2: means I've not got five players in that game, which
- 36:12Speaker 2: is awful. I mean I could bench rayer. I suppose
- 36:16Speaker 2: I only have four, but it still feels a lot.
- 36:19Speaker 2: But I just felt like Socca was needed by it.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I just think you have to be slightly different. You
- 36:23Speaker 2: have to make a decision and just go with it
- 36:25Speaker 2: because it's the only way in midweek you haven't got
- 36:28Speaker 2: time to massively think. The only thing I would say
- 36:32Speaker 2: is that midwek rounds are actually almost a really lovely
- 36:35Speaker 2: time to roll a transfer because you don't have a
- 36:39Speaker 2: massive amount of time. So if your team is okay
- 36:42Speaker 2: and you don't feel like there's anything major that you
- 36:44Speaker 2: need to do, then rolling it through into the weekend
- 36:47Speaker 2: does put you in a nice position. But the other
- 36:49Speaker 2: thing is when I'm making my transfers, I tend to
- 36:52Speaker 2: not look at them in isolation for just the midweek
- 36:54Speaker 2: round of fixtures. I tend to look at these two
- 36:56Speaker 2: game weeks almost like almost as if it's a double
- 36:59Speaker 2: game week. Put them together and look at the fixtures
- 37:02Speaker 2: over the two two so that you can then make
- 37:05Speaker 2: a better call on the player to invest in, because
- 37:07Speaker 2: what you don't want is to prioritize bringing somebody in
- 37:10Speaker 2: because I don't know, say you really like the fixture.
- 37:13Speaker 2: I guess Chelsea are a good example here, right because
- 37:15Speaker 2: they've got a really nice fixture in midweek against Southampton
- 37:19Speaker 2: who are going to be without downs and dibbling, so
- 37:21Speaker 2: you would expect them to actually struggle even more maybe
- 37:24Speaker 2: than they have been. But then on Sunday afternoon they've
- 37:27Speaker 2: got the game against Spurs. So it's difficult, right, and
- 37:30Speaker 2: you'd want to heavily invest for midweek, but maybe not
- 37:33Speaker 2: quite so heavily invest for the weekends. So if you're
- 37:36Speaker 2: thinking about a Chelsea defender, then you maybe want to
- 37:40Speaker 2: think about the weekend at the same time. I guess
- 37:42Speaker 2: that's that's what I do.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess that kind of fits into what Jews
- 37:47Speaker 1: is thinking with his team. I'm guessing you won't make
- 37:48Speaker 1: too many transfers kind of for the same For the
- 37:50Speaker 1: same reason, Jewels, I was going to ask how you
- 37:53Speaker 1: with your talent vision planning, how you look head to
- 37:55Speaker 1: a midweek but go on.
- 37:57Speaker 4: The only thing I would say, just to add to
- 37:59Speaker 4: everything great that I'm just said this is the international
- 38:02Speaker 4: break was not that long ago, so I don't think
- 38:04Speaker 4: there will be much rotation within starting eleven from managers.
- 38:09Speaker 4: If you haven't played in Europe, for example, you've played
- 38:11Speaker 4: two games. It's not like if this midweek fixture list
- 38:16Speaker 4: was coming after let's say six games already in eighteen
- 38:19Speaker 4: days or something like that, where you really feel, okay,
- 38:21Speaker 4: the players are tired now I need to change now.
- 38:23Speaker 3: To be fair, they've come back.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Even if you've played in Europe last week, it's three
- 38:29Speaker 4: games since the international break, and even the ones who
- 38:31Speaker 4: went away with the national teams, they would have played
- 38:33Speaker 4: a little bit. But so I don't I would not
- 38:36Speaker 4: expect too many changes from one starting eleven this weekend
- 38:40Speaker 4: to the starting eleven for most of the teams tomorrow
- 38:43Speaker 4: or like Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, which I think is
- 38:46Speaker 4: less of a headache for us thinking oh is he
- 38:47Speaker 4: going to play?
- 38:48Speaker 3: Is it going to be on the bench?
- 38:49Speaker 4: Are they going to rotate that a?
- 38:50Speaker 3: Theyre going to it?
- 38:51Speaker 4: Is the turn ever going to be big? I don't
- 38:52Speaker 4: think this time round it would be the case, because
- 38:54Speaker 4: we're not that far since the last international break.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Okay, then so when we look ahead to the fig
- 39:00Speaker 1: which kind of ones stand out? Because it's also interesting
- 39:02Speaker 1: because I think we've some of the players that we've
- 39:04Speaker 1: mentioned being desperate for the likes of soccer don't have
- 39:07Speaker 1: the easiest fixture this week, and it's a case for
- 39:10Speaker 1: a few of them if you wanted to bring in Brune,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I maybe this wouldn't be the week to bring him in.
- 39:14Speaker 1: But Sam, if you were going to make transfers, which
- 39:15Speaker 1: teams would you be targeting?
- 39:18Speaker 2: Chelsea? I think for midweek. If you're doing it based
- 39:21Speaker 2: on just the midweek, I think I think Chelsea. But
- 39:23Speaker 2: I also think that you know Chelsea attackers. Like one
- 39:27Speaker 2: of the things I thought about doing this week is
- 39:29Speaker 2: taking a minus four to have Jackson as well as
- 39:31Speaker 2: his partner.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I was considering he's gone up again over and I,
- 39:34Speaker 1: which will probably stop me now, but I really regret
- 39:37Speaker 1: not bringing any So I bought any Sack last week,
- 39:38Speaker 1: of course, and I wish i'd brought in Palmer Jackson instead.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I didn't want to be doubled up. I thought it
- 39:43Speaker 1: was too much, but actually, in hindsight it would have
- 39:45Speaker 1: been completely the right thing.
- 39:46Speaker 2: To do, and I think now with the Sack injury Caws,
- 39:49Speaker 2: that still makes sense to do that. I think it's
- 39:50Speaker 2: a shame that you didn't do it before because obviously
- 39:52Speaker 2: you've missed out on some points there. But you know
- 39:55Speaker 2: all the things I just said about the Chelsea fixtures
- 39:57Speaker 2: being different, I don't think that matters really for the
- 39:59Speaker 2: attackers because the a defense and the way that Chelsea
- 40:01Speaker 2: generally come to the Tottenhot's best stadium, which is obviously
- 40:04Speaker 2: going to be the weekend fixture. I still think that
- 40:06Speaker 2: they can return really well intensely.
- 40:08Speaker 1: The other thing that's on my on my radar though,
- 40:10Speaker 1: is the fact that he's on four yellows and then
- 40:12Speaker 1: he will get a one game suspension discipline. But it's
- 40:17Speaker 1: still a few games to get through without a yellow card.
- 40:20Speaker 1: So I was like, maybe I'll just wait for the
- 40:22Speaker 1: suspension and then bring him in because knowing my fpo
- 40:25Speaker 1: Lup Jewels, I'll bring him in and then he'll get suspended.
- 40:28Speaker 2: That's a risky game, though, isn't it, because you could
- 40:31Speaker 2: end up waiting ten games he doesn't get booked at all,
- 40:33Speaker 2: and then you have that for about three as it is,
- 40:35Speaker 2: I think, yeah, well that's the thing, isn't He got
- 40:37Speaker 2: those four quite quickly? And then actually for the last
- 40:39Speaker 2: few weeks he's just sat there on four yellow cards
- 40:42Speaker 2: and he hasn't moved. And I think, again, it goes
- 40:45Speaker 2: back to how how is your team structure and can
- 40:47Speaker 2: you cope? So like eight nor is the same, right
- 40:50Speaker 2: he's been on four yellows for what feels like forever.
- 40:52Speaker 2: We've all still got here.
- 40:53Speaker 1: That's also what's scary for me though, because I have
- 40:55Speaker 1: him as well, and I don't want to have too
- 40:56Speaker 1: many players on four yellows because again my like, they'll
- 40:58Speaker 1: both get the yellows in the same.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yeah, But equally, I think, you know, you will have
- 41:02Speaker 2: transfers that you can use to replace other players, like
- 41:05Speaker 2: I don't know, Like I think it's whatever you do
- 41:08Speaker 2: with the player that's on four yellows. It's a risky
- 41:10Speaker 2: strategyet if you've decide to go with them, then there's
- 41:12Speaker 2: always the risk that they may pick up that yellow
- 41:15Speaker 2: card in midweek and then be banned at the weekend.
- 41:18Speaker 2: As a Spurs fan, I wouldn't mind that, although that
- 41:20Speaker 2: would mean and Kunku comes on and he's been playing
- 41:22Speaker 2: really well in Europe, so you know, I don't knowing
- 41:24Speaker 2: he actually makes a difference to us. But but then
- 41:28Speaker 2: equally you could say, well, I won't bring him in
- 41:31Speaker 2: because he's on four yellows, and then he could go
- 41:33Speaker 2: for the next five weeks not picking up that yellow card,
- 41:35Speaker 2: getting you all the way to Christmas, and in that
- 41:38Speaker 2: time score four goals and you know, get a couple
- 41:40Speaker 2: of assistant what have you, and then your points total
- 41:42Speaker 2: is massive. So I think you have to bear in
- 41:45Speaker 2: mind the suspension tightrope and you have to keep that
- 41:49Speaker 2: as a focus. But I think when it's a player
- 41:51Speaker 2: that is performing as well as Jackson is right now,
- 41:54Speaker 2: it's not something that should be the main thing that
- 41:57Speaker 2: decides whether you bring them in or not. Okay, gosh,
- 41:59Speaker 2: maybe I should have that last night before his price
- 42:01Speaker 2: rose as well. Then yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Anyway, by the way, it was not too serious. It
- 42:05Speaker 4: was more of a knock than in miscalo injury. So
- 42:07Speaker 4: he might be okay for the Liverpool A game on Wednesday.
- 42:10Speaker 2: But do you want him?
- 42:11Speaker 4: I mean, if you're invested in him, because I believe
- 42:14Speaker 4: that you know.
- 42:15Speaker 1: You, it's tough to sell so soon. It's tough to tell.
- 42:19Speaker 1: But the problem I had is when he went off
- 42:21Speaker 1: in that game. I was listening to it on the
- 42:22Speaker 1: radio as I was driving along and he went off
- 42:24Speaker 1: and my first thought was, I doesn't have a week
- 42:26Speaker 1: to recover here. Normally a normal game week, you'd have
- 42:29Speaker 1: a whole week to recover. So I thought, automatically, even
- 42:32Speaker 1: if it's not a big injury. He's probably not going
- 42:34Speaker 1: to play a midweek with Callum Wilson coming.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Yeah, they can.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Also they've also got other players Anthony Gordon that can
- 42:39Speaker 1: play through the middle if they need to. Why would
- 42:42Speaker 1: Why would they rush him back when they need him
- 42:44Speaker 1: in the anyhow needs him in the long term. I
- 42:45Speaker 1: need him in the short term. So anyhow it is
- 42:47Speaker 1: going to win, do you know what I mean? Like
- 42:48Speaker 1: that was genuinely my first thought of if this happened
- 42:50Speaker 1: in any other game week, I wouldn't be as worried.
- 42:53Speaker 2: But straight away I thought, well, if you're.
- 42:54Speaker 1: A manager, why on earth would you risk him if
- 42:55Speaker 1: your other forwards coming back and you've only got three
- 42:57Speaker 1: days between games. But yeah, well we'll see worth I
- 43:00Speaker 1: was going to say worth listening to Addy House press conference,
- 43:02Speaker 1: But out of all of the managers in the Premier League,
- 43:04Speaker 1: he's probably one of the most coy and plays keeps
- 43:06Speaker 1: his cards as close to his chest as he can,
- 43:08Speaker 1: so I'm not sure we'll find out too much, but yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 1: still worth checking out. I don't clear what time it is,
- 43:12Speaker 1: but yeah, just keep across it on social media and
- 43:14Speaker 1: I feel like we should probably mention some of the
- 43:16Speaker 1: other suspensions that are happening because it is around this
- 43:20Speaker 1: point where particularly there's a quick turnaround you can miss it.
- 43:22Speaker 1: There are twenty eight players still on four yellow cards.
- 43:24Speaker 1: One of those, of course is Jackson. They would al
- 43:26Speaker 1: miss game week fifteen if they pick up a yellow
- 43:28Speaker 1: card this week, so it would be in this game week.
- 43:31Speaker 1: So the big news is there is Jackson, the likes
- 43:33Speaker 1: of Neto for Chelsea, I feel like he hasn't even
- 43:35Speaker 1: had that many minutes to have accumulated.
- 43:37Speaker 3: That many But for Cars as well.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of quite remarkable as right, And wasn't
- 43:44Speaker 1: there Sam didn't a couple of Manchester United players pick
- 43:47Speaker 1: up Martyrs and Menu, so that's probably worth bearing in mind,
- 43:53Speaker 1: particularly from Manchester United point of view, but also maybe
- 43:56Speaker 1: from an arsenal point of view as well.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah, for sure, Yeah I.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Could read you all of the players.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Of course, the lights of Tom Kenny is banned because
- 44:03Speaker 1: he's got a red card against Spurs, Tomado dibbling downs
- 44:06Speaker 1: and Hardwood bellis And actually that's also worth pointing out
- 44:09Speaker 1: because left very bad news for Southampton, isn't it, and
- 44:13Speaker 1: only enhances what you were saying before about Chelsea Sam.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely. I mean Southampton are they were struggling anyway,
- 44:20Speaker 2: weren't they blessed them and then to lose these three
- 44:23Speaker 2: players at the same time through suspension is almost catastrophic
- 44:27Speaker 2: when you've got a team that's in such good form
- 44:29Speaker 2: as Chelsea, particularly an attack coming to play you. So yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 2: it's not good news for Southampton. But I think for
- 44:37Speaker 2: us in fl if you've got Chelsea players, I think
- 44:39Speaker 2: it makes the captaincy decision a little bit easier.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, especially I'm loving the captaincy debates at the moment,
- 44:45Speaker 1: even though obviously I often go for the wrong one.
- 44:47Speaker 1: It is nice that we're all very confused about captaincy
- 44:51Speaker 1: and it's quite nicely spread at the moment. Okay, we're
- 44:53Speaker 1: going to have to race. I can't make another word
- 44:56Speaker 1: rattle through because we really are running out of time now.
- 44:59Speaker 1: So differential the the weak jewels. Firstly, congratulations he picked
- 45:02Speaker 1: ouder Guard. I know Sam did also try and pick
- 45:04Speaker 1: ouder Guard as well. Eight points. Got the penalty of course,
- 45:07Speaker 1: and got a bonus points too. Sam was very unlucky
- 45:09Speaker 1: really with Timber and only got a point. But that's
- 45:11Speaker 1: another point on the board for you. Jewels who you
- 45:14Speaker 1: are with this way, So.
- 45:15Speaker 4: I wanted to go with Amadiallo because as Sam was
- 45:19Speaker 4: mentioning when she was talking about United, his own great
- 45:21Speaker 4: form is great. He's cheap, very low howneship. But then
- 45:23Speaker 4: they've got Arsenal on the weekend so on Tuesday and
- 45:26Speaker 4: Wednesday night. So instead I went for and so so Fernandez,
- 45:30Speaker 4: who I find reborn lately with Chelsea. He plays higher
- 45:37Speaker 4: up on the pitch and not deeper next to Casido,
- 45:41Speaker 4: next to Lavia, for example, which is a much better
- 45:43Speaker 4: position for him. I suspect they will have another quiet
- 45:46Speaker 4: attacking lineup against Arthampton in midweek like they had on
- 45:50Speaker 4: Sunday and it was very good. He's four point eight
- 45:53Speaker 4: million and those so that's not expensive. But because he
- 45:56Speaker 4: plays higher emerge higher up the pitch, is much more
- 45:59Speaker 4: involved in the final third of the game, one point
- 46:02Speaker 4: seven percent ownership and he had two returns in a rona.
- 46:08Speaker 4: And I think that new position for him is much
- 46:11Speaker 4: better for him. He suits him better. But also that
- 46:14Speaker 4: makes him far more thangerous and he is a great
- 46:16Speaker 4: player too. So I think Enzo against Sarthampton away could
- 46:19Speaker 4: be very good.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Can you believe that you're saying him if I'd have
- 46:22Speaker 1: said to you probably six months or a year ago
- 46:24Speaker 1: that you'd have been signing, would you believe that about Enzo?
- 46:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 46:28Speaker 4: No, no no, And I've always been a great fan,
- 46:30Speaker 4: even before before he moved to Europe when he was
- 46:32Speaker 4: a Benfica. But I think that change of positioning, yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 4: was great, is great for him.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Sam, how are you going with a had him as
- 46:40Speaker 1: my first choice as well, so going myself then on
- 46:45Speaker 1: the same way view, Yeah, because his stats are really
- 46:50Speaker 1: good as well. He's probably six crosses and credit seven
- 46:52Speaker 1: chances in the last ray, which is more than any
- 46:55Speaker 1: other Chelsea player, just to add to Jorge's pick, So
- 46:58Speaker 1: in which case I'm going even more rogue than because
- 47:00Speaker 1: he was my first choice and born andat.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Is my second. So obviously he comes from Leicester five million,
- 47:07Speaker 2: he's only owned by one point four percent of the game.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Now.
- 47:10Speaker 2: I have owned Bonaatte in my draft team for most
- 47:14Speaker 2: of this season, and to be honest, he has been
- 47:16Speaker 2: a complete legend for me. He's regularly returning and actually
- 47:20Speaker 2: I found that most weeks in draft he's been the
- 47:22Speaker 2: one that's made the difference and he's won it for me.
- 47:24Speaker 2: He's got returns in six of his ten starts so
- 47:27Speaker 2: far this season, which I was like not surprised with
- 47:30Speaker 2: because obviously I have him in draft, but equally is
- 47:32Speaker 2: a bit mad when you think about how Leicester have
- 47:35Speaker 2: been performing over the course of this season. But this
- 47:37Speaker 2: is going to be Van Neisty's first game in charge.
- 47:40Speaker 2: It's against the West Ham team that have just conceded
- 47:42Speaker 2: five to Arsenal and just looked all over the place.
- 47:46Speaker 2: And I do think that Leicester City will attack and
- 47:49Speaker 2: I think that there'll be some bounce there and Bunaatte
- 47:52Speaker 2: seems to be the one that kind of takes the
- 47:54Speaker 2: ball by the horn for want of a better phrase,
- 47:57Speaker 2: in that team, So Buona Notatte. I have to see
- 48:00Speaker 2: how how you get on the Sam.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Maybe next week week you can update us on the
- 48:05Speaker 1: standings over now onto transfers and Captain Sam's already made
- 48:09Speaker 1: her transfer.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Is that all you're going to be doing unless I
- 48:13Speaker 2: get any news that so Lanke's virus is actually worse
- 48:16Speaker 2: than it is, and then if it is, I'll go
- 48:19Speaker 2: so Lankey to Jackson, But that would leave me troubled
- 48:22Speaker 2: up and ask noone with no spurs, which and on
- 48:23Speaker 2: a minus four would that be and on a minus
- 48:25Speaker 2: for so I'm hoping that SLANKI is going to be. Okay,
- 48:28Speaker 2: Captain C who you going with? Co Palmer Co.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Palma Jewels are holding those four transfers. You're just going
- 48:35Speaker 1: to keep banking them up forever to go five.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Fifth one for the weekend. I don't know.
- 48:40Speaker 4: I want, like I said, and Rogers probably two ideally,
- 48:43Speaker 4: and then it's what we do, what I do with
- 48:45Speaker 4: Highlands or not do with Highlands. I don't know. I've
- 48:48Speaker 4: got to be more time to think, but right now
- 48:50Speaker 4: is definitely.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Not the moment and I've got no idea right now, so, you.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Know, brilliant, useful as ever. I feel like the this
- 49:00Speaker 2: is the first time Jews has opened.
- 49:01Speaker 4: His fpr t in for a day or so, but
- 49:06Speaker 4: I don't know either, Okay.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Well, interesting to see that at the moment the most
- 49:09Speaker 1: popular transfer combinations duels our player out and Bomo book
- 49:13Speaker 1: I Osaka in and the one that you might do
- 49:17Speaker 1: and that Sam has done, and the second most popular
- 49:19Speaker 1: is Esak out Jackson in, which is obviously what I'm
- 49:22Speaker 1: considering doing as well, and the next two are Harland
- 49:25Speaker 1: out for Jackson, and keunyas people still selling Holland in
- 49:28Speaker 1: their drobs, but lots of Forwdham of field change ups potentially. Okay,
- 49:32Speaker 1: then that's where we'll leave it. Sorry, we've actually gone
- 49:35Speaker 1: a little bit over, which isn't ideal when there's such
- 49:36Speaker 1: a short period of time between the deadline. But as always,
- 49:39Speaker 1: thank you so much for joining us and listening to
- 49:41Speaker 1: the FBI pop. We will be back on Thursday around lunchtime.
- 49:44Speaker 1: We'll be in your feed reflecting on game week fourteen.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Of course it will come with the caveat that the
- 49:48Speaker 1: two games I think it's at Fulham and the game
- 49:50Speaker 1: between born With and Spurs we won't be able to discuss,
- 49:53Speaker 1: so Sam will still be wondering if Sanke's virus is bad.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Probably no, actually to be for Anshibosterovlo is quite good
- 49:58Speaker 1: at telling us in press conferences, isn't he. But yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 1: we'll be back on Thursday afternoon looking ahead to the weekend.
- 50:03Speaker 1: We're at that brilliant time of year where there is
- 50:05Speaker 1: constant Premier League football and as a result, constant FPL.
- 50:08Speaker 1: But do not forget your deadline six pm on Tuesday,
- 50:12Speaker 1: So if you're listening to this on Monday around twenty
- 50:13Speaker 1: four hours. If you listening to this on Tuesday, it's
- 50:16Speaker 1: in this evening six o'clock, don't miss it. That's ninety
- 50:18Speaker 1: minutes ahead of the first match of the game week,
- 50:21Speaker 1: Ipswich versus Crystal Palace. The Fantasy Show will also be back,
- 50:24Speaker 1: but not until Friday. Looking ahead to the weekends, this
- 50:26Speaker 1: really is your place to get all of the tips,
- 50:29Speaker 1: as is Fantasy dot Premier League dot Com.
- 50:31Speaker 2: And the Premier League app. I think that's where we'll
- 50:34Speaker 2: leave it.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Guys.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Have a good game week, either of you at any
- 50:36Speaker 2: of the matches.
- 50:37Speaker 4: No awesome money noted on Wednesday nights.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Oh big game Juwel strikes again.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I'll be at Manchester City versus Nottingham Forest as well,
- 50:45Speaker 1: so we can talk about those on Thursday morning.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Have a good week, guys, byebye
