Pima County’s new treasurer, Jorge Soto, took the reins Tuesday after being unanimously appointed by the Board of Supervisors — a move that comes on the heels of former treasurer Brian Johnson’s resignation amid a damning sexual harassment investigation. Johnson, a Democrat, stepped down in June after multiple allegations surfaced, including pressuring staff for sexual favors and gifting sexually explicit books to young employees.
