- 0:00Hello friends! Welcome back to Wonderfully Made,
- 0:04Bible Stories for Children. I'm so excited you're
- 0:09here. Last time, we heard how the Israelites
- 0:13made a big mistake while Moses was on the mountain.
- 0:17They got tired of waiting, forgot all that God
- 0:21had done, and made a golden calf to worship.
- 0:25But even though they sinned, God forgave them.
- 0:29and he didn't leave them. Today, we'll hear something
- 0:33amazing, how God gave his people a way to be
- 0:37close to him again. A special place where they
- 0:40could worship and remember that God was with
- 0:43them always. It was called the tabernacle. Are
- 0:48you ready? Let's begin. After forgiving the people,
- 1:05God spoke to Moses again. He told Moses to build
- 1:10something very special, a holy tent called the
- 1:14tabernacle. It wouldn't be just any tent, it
- 1:18would be the place where God's presence would
- 1:20stay, right in the middle of the camp. God gave
- 1:25Moses very detailed instructions. He told him
- 1:29what materials to use. Gold, silver, colorful
- 1:33yarn, wood, and fine linen. Everything had to
- 1:38be done just right because the tabernacle was
- 1:41going to be a place where the people could come
- 1:44close to God. God even chose skilled workers
- 1:48and gave them wisdom and creativity to make each
- 1:52part exactly the way he wanted. Inside the tabernacle,
- 1:58there were important pieces. The Ark of the Covenant,
- 2:02a beautiful gold -covered box that held the ten
- 2:06commandments. It showed that God's law was at
- 2:11the center of their lives. The lampstand menorah,
- 2:14shaped like a tree with branches, it was made
- 2:18of pure gold and lit up the tent. The table for
- 2:22bread, where special bread was placed to show
- 2:26that God provided for his people. The altar,
- 2:31where animals were offered to say sorry for sins.
- 2:35The basin, for washing, to remind the priests
- 2:39to be clean before serving. There was also a
- 2:43most holy place, a room so special that only
- 2:47the high priest could enter once a year. That's
- 2:51where the ark was kept, and it reminded the people
- 2:55that God is holy. When everything was finished,
- 2:59Just as God had said, something incredible happened.
- 3:03A great cloud came down and covered the tabernacle.
- 3:07God's glory filled the tent so powerfully that
- 3:11even Moses couldn't go inside right away. It
- 3:16was a sign for everyone. God was there. From
- 3:20that day on, the cloud would rest over the tabernacle
- 3:23during the day, and at night, there would be
- 3:27fire in the sky above it. When the cloud moved,
- 3:31the people packed up and followed. When it stayed,
- 3:35they stayed too. God was guiding them, day and
- 3:39night. Why did God ask for all these things?
- 3:49It wasn't just to make a fancy tent. God wanted
- 3:54his people to remember he was with them. The
- 3:57tabernacle was a way for the people to worship,
- 4:00say thank you, and ask for forgiveness. It showed
- 4:05that even after their mistake, God hadn't left
- 4:08them. He wanted to live among them. Isn't that
- 4:14amazing? Today, we don't have a tabernacle like
- 4:18they did. But God is still with us. He lives
- 4:22in our hearts when we believe in him. And we
- 4:26can talk to him anytime, through prayer, reading
- 4:30the Bible, and singing songs of praise. Let's
- 4:35think together. What do you think the tabernacle
- 4:40helped the people remember? Why do you think
- 4:46God wanted to live among them? How can you remember
- 4:52that God is always with you? At home, at school,
- 4:56or anywhere you go. Even when we make mistakes
- 5:02or feel far away, God never forgets us. He wants
- 5:07to be close, and he's always ready to guide us
- 5:10with love. Thanks for joining me today. Next
- 5:16time. will begin a brand new part of the journey.
- 5:20The Israelites are finally ready to enter the
- 5:24land God promised them, but will they trust him
- 5:27when things look scary? Until then, remember,
- 5:32you are wonderfully made, and God is always with
- 5:36you. Bye for now.
