- 0:51Speaker 2: Guess Star four finger discount.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Dude, Welcome to this very special bonus review of season
- 1:13Speaker 1: thirty seven of The Simpsons. We're doing episode three, which
- 1:16Speaker 1: turned out to be Trios of Horror thirty six, I'm Dan.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And I'm Guy Woo. Welcome to Spooky Sits. Glad you
- 1:22Speaker 3: did that. Well, yeah, we'll see how if we get
- 1:27Speaker 3: this out in time for Halloween, which was only a
- 1:29Speaker 3: few days away. But knowing your you know, incredible work
- 1:33Speaker 3: ethic and razor sharp editing skills, it'll probably be had
- 1:36Speaker 3: in time for Halloween.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Which is saying that I try using everyone goes just
- 1:40Speaker 1: use AI to edit. It saves you so much time.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I tried AI and it was shit. It took me
- 1:45Speaker 1: the longer to edit with it because I'm going through it.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I had to fix the problems a It's just easy
- 1:49Speaker 1: for to do it myself, Okay, I Man.
- 1:51Speaker 3: We tend to sort of whenever we talk about AI
- 1:54Speaker 3: on this on the show or any of our shows,
- 1:56Speaker 3: it tends to be kind of like, ah, we're worried
- 1:58Speaker 3: or FAI. And I get the feeling that the tide
- 2:02Speaker 3: is turning in a lot of ways. I think a
- 2:05Speaker 3: lot of people are kind of like whether it's high
- 2:07Speaker 3: up in business, because you know, everyone was like, oh,
- 2:10Speaker 3: he's going to take all their jibs now. A lot
- 2:12Speaker 3: of people say, oh wait a minute, it costs AI
- 2:15Speaker 3: like six times the cost of humans to actually do
- 2:18Speaker 3: the same thing, and it'll often hallucinate or break down
- 2:21Speaker 3: or just not do it as well. And then you've
- 2:23Speaker 3: also got on a ground level or a more human level,
- 2:25Speaker 3: people going, well, wait a minute, you know, shouldn't Ai
- 2:28Speaker 3: be doing jobs like, you know, sweeping mind fields and
- 2:30Speaker 3: that way we can you know, paint pictures or write
- 2:32Speaker 3: poems or some shit like that. And so there's a
- 2:35Speaker 3: bit of a backlash against it as well, and on
- 2:38Speaker 3: the personal front, Dano's against it. But there we go.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I tried it. I was like, nah, this is that easy.
- 2:43Speaker 3: This is hard, right, Yeah. I mean I saw some
- 2:44Speaker 3: video the other night on YouTube or wherever. But it
- 2:47Speaker 3: was clearly one of those things where it's like, oh,
- 2:50Speaker 3: Ai is going to do the instant subtitles for me,
- 2:53Speaker 3: and all the subtitles not they weren't all wrong, but
- 2:55Speaker 3: it's like, that's not how you spell that word, and
- 2:57Speaker 3: that's not the grammar for that word, and that's not
- 2:59Speaker 3: even the word that and said.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And sometimes you watch Netflix and you can tell they
- 3:02Speaker 1: just used to auto translate. And I said, Nikola, if
- 3:04Speaker 1: you're hearing impaired, you would completely be lost on what's
- 3:08Speaker 1: going on because that was completely incorrect.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Went for Nicholas said, yeah, I work in that industry. Palso,
- 3:13Speaker 3: you you're preacher the Court. That's what I said.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm like, because my grandmother's death and it's like, if
- 3:17Speaker 1: she's watching this, that what they just said is wrong.
- 3:19Speaker 3: The whole lot is different now. Absolutely, it's like, what
- 3:22Speaker 3: the fuck is going on? But horror? Enough about the
- 3:26Speaker 3: real world spooking, Yeah, Simpson's spooking.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So this is the latest edition of Trios of Horror, obviously,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and I always go on excited for Trios of Horror.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I don't know about you, but there's.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Always this level of this is going to be at
- 3:36Speaker 1: least fun, even if it's going to be fun.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And I watched this.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We get these episodes now on Tuesdays used to be
- 3:41Speaker 1: Wednesdays now a day earlier, so Tuesday, which is pretty
- 3:44Speaker 1: much just the day after America, which is great on
- 3:46Speaker 1: Disney Plus. And I was ample to watch the first
- 3:48Speaker 1: thing in the morning last Tuesday, and I was pretty
- 3:51Speaker 1: underwhelmed by it when I first watched it. That's disappointing,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I thought, Yeah, I thought last year was also very underwhelming.
- 3:56Speaker 1: What happened with me was two years ago. I think
- 3:59Speaker 1: it was someone wrote a segment called Simpson's World, which
- 4:01Speaker 1: is the one where they go into like a m
- 4:04Speaker 1: Mister Rowe, but no West World.
- 4:05Speaker 3: West World.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was an altered reality kind of thing,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and it was Simpsons fancy and go visit Springfield and
- 4:11Speaker 1: it's all the greatest Simpsons moments and that's right. And
- 4:14Speaker 1: I also had the anime parody. It was just the
- 4:17Speaker 1: Barbara book is how you say Babaduka? But Marge was
- 4:20Speaker 1: the It was really really solid trios of horror and
- 4:23Speaker 1: last years was really disappointing. They had that venom thing
- 4:25Speaker 1: and it just didn't work for me. This one here,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'm going hopefully they can get back to where they
- 4:29Speaker 1: were the before. Didn't really like it, and then I
- 4:32Speaker 1: rewatched it, taking some notes, and I enjoyed it more
- 4:35Speaker 1: the second time, maybe because I knew what was coming up.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I can sort of, you know, relax a bit more.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It still wasn't that great. It was it was, it was.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'd give it a B at most.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I think I would probably go B minus or a
- 4:48Speaker 3: C plus, mainly because I agree with you, I mean
- 4:53Speaker 3: in a lot of ways. But what really struck me
- 4:55Speaker 3: as like, you guys are showing off your references here,
- 4:58Speaker 3: you're showing off we've seen this, we want to poke
- 5:00Speaker 3: fun at that, that kind of thing, and what is
- 5:03Speaker 3: a goot an example? Oh look, I mean all through
- 5:05Speaker 3: I mean look last Days of Chris Go. I was like, okay,
- 5:07Speaker 3: well this is clearly Jaws, but you've also throwing and
- 5:09Speaker 3: stuff from the Blob remake and and even the stuff
- 5:13Speaker 3: with a Homer and Bart. It's like, well they're doing
- 5:16Speaker 3: characters from Smoking in the Bandit is that what it is? Yeah? Yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 3: I was like lost. Yeah, so it's and it's got
- 5:22Speaker 3: that whole seventies thing about it, which I get. You know,
- 5:24Speaker 3: Jewels are seventy five, and Smoking the bandit is seventies
- 5:26Speaker 3: six or seventy seven or whatever. The blobbers in the eighties,
- 5:28Speaker 3: but it was eighty eight the reboot, I think. So yeah, yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 3: it's like, oh, okay, are you showing off that you've
- 5:34Speaker 3: seen these things, which is very sort of like currency
- 5:36Speaker 3: on the internet or online or whatever's like I know
- 5:39Speaker 3: what you did there, Yeah, I see what you're doing.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And it felt like the jokes were kind of third
- 5:45Speaker 3: or fourth down the line into instead of like, okay,
- 5:49Speaker 3: we're going to make fun of this, or we're going
- 5:50Speaker 3: to pay tribute to that. Yeah, write some good jokes
- 5:54Speaker 3: in there, please.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I think what'stood out to me in particular is this
- 5:57Speaker 1: is the first time where I've seen or a long
- 6:01Speaker 1: story based around a character who's voice by someone else. Now, yes,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and it was just so off putting is off the
- 6:08Speaker 1: right term, but I felt a.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Little sort of disconcerted. Desert. Apologies for mispronouncing your name, sir.
- 6:16Speaker 3: It's spelled desert as in Sahara desert, but it's got
- 6:18Speaker 3: an accent on the yes. Apologies.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yea man from Becker We all know he is now
- 6:23Speaker 1: the current voice of Lou, And I'm sorry, but it's
- 6:26Speaker 1: just not it, you know. I mean all credit to
- 6:29Speaker 1: the guy, but I'm sure there are many African American
- 6:32Speaker 1: voice actors out there who could nail the Lou voice
- 6:35Speaker 1: more so. And it's a shame that there seems like
- 6:37Speaker 1: the unnamed talent out there aren't getting chosen over people.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Who are relatively well known.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Relatively well known, which is a shame I'm watching this
- 6:45Speaker 1: going this is it was distracting because it didn't it
- 6:49Speaker 1: didn't even sound like he was trying to be Lou.
- 6:51Speaker 1: No and if you're going to take over a character.
- 6:53Speaker 1: We spoke to Billy West recently. It's going to be
- 6:54Speaker 1: coming out in the podcast very soon. He took how
- 6:57Speaker 1: he took over did bugs money in Space Jam, he
- 6:59Speaker 1: took a and a Stimby, and how he tried to
- 7:02Speaker 1: pay tribute to the divisional but also put his slight
- 7:04Speaker 1: little spin on it. But this just feels his responsibility
- 7:07Speaker 1: was Yeah, his responsibility was to the character more than
- 7:10Speaker 1: anything else. But this just feels like it's just a
- 7:12Speaker 1: different voice. I mean, at least put a bit of
- 7:14Speaker 1: a deeper Yeah, you.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Know, that's the thing. I mean, yeah, I mean Lou's
- 7:19Speaker 3: always been kind of a peripheral character. I mean, you
- 7:21Speaker 3: wouldn't even call him a supporting character in the way
- 7:23Speaker 3: that you call maybe Lenny and Carl supporting.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I like the choice, if this was like Golden, I
- 7:27Speaker 1: wouldn't have minded Lou being the choice to be the
- 7:29Speaker 1: chief Bodie say in this story. But it just the
- 7:32Speaker 1: voice just was just felt distracting to me.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I guess. So, yeah, I mean, I think something I've
- 7:36Speaker 3: always liked about Treehouse of Horror is that, you know,
- 7:38Speaker 3: the main characters usually be put into the main character Roles.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I mean, I understand where you're coming from in terms
- 7:44Speaker 3: of like, oh, okay, well this is unexpected twist that, yeah,
- 7:47Speaker 3: I mean, and I do play it for a halfway
- 7:49Speaker 3: decent gag. That's with Eddie. Oh no, with the star
- 7:52Speaker 3: was yeah. Oh and now in charge it is Luke. Yes.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Actually I didn't see that coming.
- 7:57Speaker 1: My authority and now he's a new chief Eddie, So
- 8:01Speaker 1: I thought that was good. But the violence was also
- 8:03Speaker 1: quite good throughout this well yeah, I mean the violence
- 8:05Speaker 1: is always good in chance, and it feels like now
- 8:08Speaker 1: they're more open to just being more gory because there
- 8:11Speaker 1: was always deaths in the early ones, but now their.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Gory death well we got the thirty sixth this is
- 8:17Speaker 3: it Treehouse of Horror. Yeah, I mean, I you remember
- 8:21Speaker 3: in the early ones, you'd have March coming out saying
- 8:23Speaker 3: maybe a kid shouldn't be watching this or whatever, or
- 8:25Speaker 3: you know, be careful or whatever. Yeah, giving that yeah
- 8:27Speaker 3: that morning, because I don't think i'd let the kids
- 8:29Speaker 3: watch this. Oh no, it's pretty gruesome, it is. Yeah. Yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 3: but that's what your without the gore. No, it's what
- 8:37Speaker 3: you're there for now, and it's going to become a yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: Halloween tradition or a Treehouse of Horror Tradition's like, okay,
- 8:43Speaker 3: we're going to get a big gory here. If you
- 8:45Speaker 3: see it at the right age or whatever, all the
- 8:47Speaker 3: wrong age, you might be like, oh my god, that's
- 8:49Speaker 3: that's a ska for life, or that's like, oh my god.
- 8:52Speaker 3: I still remember when I saw that when I was
- 8:53Speaker 3: a kid. But yeah, I think most people are going
- 8:55Speaker 3: to be like, okay, well I paid my ticket, I'll
- 8:57Speaker 3: take the ride. Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I feel it was a very sort of and my
- 9:00Speaker 1: environmentally friendly mantra to this episode as well.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Certainly with the with the book ending episodes go on
- 9:07Speaker 3: with Plastic World. Yeah, maybe not the Krusty Halloween Special Quiet.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Which was my favorite segment of the three. I talk
- 9:14Speaker 1: about that in the moment, but yeah, I just thought
- 9:15Speaker 1: I'm definitely watching it going. They're trying to preach a
- 9:17Speaker 1: little message a little bit. They did it in a
- 9:19Speaker 1: way they didn't feel too in your face. I think
- 9:21Speaker 1: kids can sort of watch Plastic World because there's too
- 9:24Speaker 1: much gore, skin, his head explodes and whatnot, But take
- 9:27Speaker 1: the gory out and I think there's a good message there.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we are drowning the planet in plastic.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But it's not an original concept. I mean, we've seen
- 9:33Speaker 1: Walley Wallly is the same thing.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah, very much.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So yeah, but I really liked this second segment. So
- 9:39Speaker 1: what was it called the.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Rusty Halloween Special?
- 9:41Speaker 1: So it's called the clown Knight with the Devil, which
- 9:43Speaker 1: is a takeoff of the Late.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Really, I didn't see that title at all.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sure if the title was there, but
- 9:50Speaker 1: as Cord clown up with the Devil, that's just what
- 9:52Speaker 1: they called it.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, because I just saw the Crusty Halloween Special
- 9:55Speaker 3: and in like a sign because with last Days a Crisco,
- 9:59Speaker 3: they had it on the Cinema Marquee and that, and
- 10:01Speaker 3: so when I saw that, I thought, oh is this
- 10:04Speaker 3: the tail? And yeah, so not that interesting.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But it's called clown Night with the Devil, which is
- 10:08Speaker 1: I take off Late Night Devil. That's what I've never
- 10:10Speaker 1: seen Late Night in the Devil. It's been recommended to me.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But it's a similar kind of concept to this.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Right, and it is indeed, and it's the physical media
- 10:18Speaker 3: release is brought to you from our friends at Umbrella Entertainment.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Is it a good movie?
- 10:21Speaker 1: It's not a bad movie. Yeah, yeah, and it's pretty good.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Is this a Australian mate? Is this a parody of
- 10:27Speaker 1: that concept?
- 10:28Speaker 3: It is?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very similar from beginning to end. That's pretty
- 10:33Speaker 1: much pretty much.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. The concept of Late Night with the Devil
- 10:36Speaker 3: is it's a live late night talk show hosted by
- 10:40Speaker 3: this guy whose career is kind of on the skids
- 10:42Speaker 3: a little bit. He's like, Okay, we're having a Halloween special.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I'm gonna have a seance live on air. I'm gonna
- 10:46Speaker 3: have all manner of spooky stuff. But it's also like
- 10:49Speaker 3: found footage of like we found footage from behind the
- 10:52Speaker 3: scenes of that Fateful night on that talk show whatever.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Kinde of my favorite moments. It's just al but as
- 10:57Speaker 1: the voice of Satan, going found footage into the Netflix always.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Good when you've got interest doing voice was Yes, we're a.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Stringer bell as Satan. I thought was great. Now we're
- 11:06Speaker 1: discussing off air. There was one guest voice, because it
- 11:09Speaker 1: was all the guest voice in this one that stood
- 11:10Speaker 1: out to me. I think it's just because I watched
- 11:12Speaker 1: A House of Dynamite and it's just maybe he's just
- 11:13Speaker 1: in my mind. It's just I was always on my mind.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But misinter was going, is.
- 11:17Speaker 3: That Elber it is? It is? Yeah, I think for me.
- 11:21Speaker 1: For me, what I like the most about that second
- 11:23Speaker 1: segment Clanut with the Devil was just the animation, the
- 11:26Speaker 1: way they obviously playing on a nostalge for kids whorew
- 11:28Speaker 1: up in the nineties. But you're watching it and you go,
- 11:30Speaker 1: if you took this out of this Triosa of Horror
- 11:32Speaker 1: and just put this in Trios of Horror at nine,
- 11:35Speaker 1: it would feel the way they captured the nineteen ninety
- 11:39Speaker 1: five vibe I thought was really cool.
- 11:40Speaker 3: No, they did a good job with that. Absolutely, and again,
- 11:43Speaker 3: like last day as at Chrisco, it's more than a
- 11:46Speaker 3: Late Night with the Devil. Have you seen the movie? Nope?
- 11:49Speaker 3: Do you know that one by I know the movie
- 11:51Speaker 3: you haven't. Yeah, all the stuff with I guess it's
- 11:54Speaker 3: mister Teeney and there's some him going a bit a
- 11:56Speaker 3: bit wild, Yeah, ripping off faces. Yeah, that's directly lifted
- 11:59Speaker 3: from my only face, directly lifted from No. But it's like, oh,
- 12:04Speaker 3: chimps running wild. I mean I've said there's many times,
- 12:07Speaker 3: like several nightmares I can tell Oh, yeah, they don't
- 12:09Speaker 3: play fair, they fight dirty. So yeah, there's a.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Bit of that, and then rough Wigan obviously becomes He's
- 12:16Speaker 1: just sort of like a vessel, isn't in the end
- 12:18Speaker 1: do anything?
- 12:18Speaker 3: It just gets killed.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but a good twist at the end as well
- 12:22Speaker 1: with I like that from him and it points to
- 12:25Speaker 1: the manager managers like I only made the deal with
- 12:28Speaker 1: the TV special no him, and it burns a circle
- 12:30Speaker 1: and it's great reveal of it being But I just
- 12:32Speaker 1: really enjoyed the second segment, and the third one was
- 12:34Speaker 1: obviously the Plastic World, which is the story of that
- 12:37Speaker 1: is essentially we're ruining the world with plastic as a
- 12:40Speaker 1: mad Max.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It's a bit of a yeah you mentioned Wally before.
- 12:43Speaker 3: It's a bit of a horror take or a bit
- 12:45Speaker 3: of a post apocalyptic, a mash up of say Furiosa
- 12:48Speaker 3: or Fury Road.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And Wally apparently water World as well on a bit
- 12:52Speaker 1: of water World in this. I've never seen water World.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I've been told not to bother with water World.
- 12:55Speaker 3: What's fine?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Really isn't the movie that ruined Kemocrossas Simpsons told me
- 13:00Speaker 1: across his career.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Costa was really flying high in the early nineties, could
- 13:04Speaker 3: do nothing wrong. Ah, this is post that Tin Cup
- 13:07Speaker 3: was after was after Water War? Really yeah. Yeah, but
- 13:10Speaker 3: say let's go from eighty nine Wolves. Yeah you got
- 13:13Speaker 3: Field of Dreams, dancing with Wolves, Robin to Prince at
- 13:15Speaker 3: Thee and the Bodyguard, which was a huge hit. Of
- 13:19Speaker 3: course if the Bodyguard, Yeah, and there's something else in there,
- 13:22Speaker 3: I'm sure. But then it's like, oh know, okay, I'm
- 13:25Speaker 3: gonna make this post apocalyptic action movie. Set it on
- 13:28Speaker 3: the water, and making movies on waters not easy. And
- 13:32Speaker 3: he's like, no, it's gonna be great. It gonna be great.
- 13:35Speaker 3: And the budget just sort of went up when up
- 13:37Speaker 3: went up, and it was just a perfectly okay action movie.
- 13:41Speaker 3: And yeah, but everyone was like, oh, Kevin, you flew
- 13:43Speaker 3: too close the sun, buddy, and you blew all there's money,
- 13:47Speaker 3: and look, I think it's made its money back over
- 13:49Speaker 3: the time. And it's yeah, it's certainly not terrible.
- 13:51Speaker 1: It's a great stunt show. I believe it somewhere it
- 13:54Speaker 1: does a sun show. Apparently it's still awesome to this day.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah. But because it wasn't an automatic hit on the
- 14:00Speaker 3: in the vein of everything else that he had done before,
- 14:01Speaker 3: it's like, oh, he's lost it.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Okay, they do make the joke on The Simpsons where
- 14:05Speaker 1: he's playing the water World game it takes two steps.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It's like insert more quarters. It's like, yeah, the budget,
- 14:09Speaker 1: that's Itah. But yeah, so I would give this. I'd
- 14:11Speaker 1: give it a B. I think I just I really
- 14:13Speaker 1: like the second segment after rewatching it. The first time
- 14:15Speaker 1: I watched it, I was like, I don't know what
- 14:17Speaker 1: you're going for here, and then learning about it being
- 14:20Speaker 1: a parody of Late Night with the Devil or something,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, at least appreciate what you're going
- 14:24Speaker 1: for there. Plus, the world was fine, it just felt
- 14:27Speaker 1: very I don't know what would you call.
- 14:29Speaker 3: It just felt there.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the animation was kind of weird as well, so
- 14:34Speaker 1: it's basically like two D animation on.
- 14:36Speaker 3: With a bit of three D. Three D. Yeah. Well,
- 14:38Speaker 3: I admired the looks of these more than it. I
- 14:40Speaker 3: thought they were all very well put together, and Simpsons
- 14:44Speaker 3: looks the best it's ever looked. Now. Sure, Yeah, I
- 14:46Speaker 3: think I really admired or really appreciated everything that sort
- 14:49Speaker 3: of went int themes like Okay, oh we're gonna throw
- 14:51Speaker 3: in a bit of this and a bit of that.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It's going to look fantastic. It's like I would have
- 14:55Speaker 3: traded maybe thirty percent of that for thirty percent more
- 14:57Speaker 3: just cool jokes or fucking joke or yeah. I mean,
- 15:02Speaker 3: it just felt more like you get this as opposed
- 15:05Speaker 3: to boom. Yeah, the wait Zinger is here, no, no,
- 15:10Speaker 3: but as what you said about Plastic World being just there.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I mean, I've taken I know, notes lots of points
- 15:17Speaker 3: about the first two, not many about Plastic World. It's like,
- 15:21Speaker 3: what can you really say about this?
- 15:23Speaker 2: He my favorite?
- 15:25Speaker 3: All right, well, do you have any favorite moments in episode? Yeah? Well,
- 15:28Speaker 3: I mean from Last Days of Chris. I just I
- 15:30Speaker 3: think it's really the first indication that they're doing Jaws
- 15:32Speaker 3: is when you see Quimby for the first time. He's
- 15:34Speaker 3: wearing May of Vaughan's anchor suit. I thought that was
- 15:36Speaker 3: pretty funny. Are you also MOA's quint in this that's right?
- 15:40Speaker 3: Calling him a turd Monger's like, that's pretty ballsy. Also,
- 15:45Speaker 3: there's a that famous shot in Jaws where they zoom
- 15:48Speaker 3: in but dolly out. Yeah, dolly zoom that's bad. So yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 3: like that very much. What do you think of the wife?
- 15:59Speaker 1: I didn't the wife her occurring bit the Buttle last
- 16:03Speaker 1: mile was like, you're trying to make this something.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, you're making a payoff. But it's like when
- 16:10Speaker 3: you're at the Earth Casino, I was like, oh, I
- 16:11Speaker 3: didn't get the jack, but I got like maybe like
- 16:14Speaker 3: five coin. Yeah, it's not not a huge payoff.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So are they trying with that joke? Is she the
- 16:20Speaker 1: writer of that segment? I will say her name now
- 16:23Speaker 1: because she deserves to be mentioned. It is Brotie Gupter,
- 16:26Speaker 1: Brodie Gupter. Is she trying to take the mickey out
- 16:29Speaker 1: of Chief Brodie's.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Wife in Jaws? She doesn't seem nonchalant about the you know,
- 16:34Speaker 3: she's all well when she sort of sees the in Jaws,
- 16:37Speaker 3: when she sees the book and sees the sharking like
- 16:39Speaker 3: get out of the water.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Now, yeah, yeah, No, I mean she's very like I
- 16:42Speaker 1: guess she is like my spirit animal. She's just like
- 16:45Speaker 1: want to get drunk and fall around. I'm like, what
- 16:46Speaker 1: a woman, Oh.
- 16:48Speaker 3: What a leader. I guess she's meant to be more
- 16:51Speaker 3: like the traditional sort of your traditional CoP's wife is
- 16:55Speaker 3: like you work too hard? You know that bit in
- 16:57Speaker 3: South Poker, you're a good cop. Parison yeats or something
- 16:59Speaker 3: like that. Maybe I didn't really sort of add up
- 17:02Speaker 3: too much. Yeah, I've written down in my Last days
- 17:05Speaker 3: of Christ. Didn't get it. I wonder if that's what
- 17:08Speaker 3: I'm talking about when I say that I normally am
- 17:10Speaker 3: a big sucker, as you know, for horrified children in
- 17:14Speaker 3: you know, and particularly when I would say none to
- 17:16Speaker 3: the kindergarten stup. But he's already dummy you love, isn't it.
- 17:21Speaker 3: And what does Krusty call his It's alphons, right, yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 3: and gets kicked into the smashed in heads. It's that
- 17:30Speaker 3: moving to the side. Yeah, so I've written the man
- 17:35Speaker 3: I'm generally not. I'm normally all for horrified kids, And
- 17:38Speaker 3: in this one it's going like, oh, they're okay, but
- 17:39Speaker 3: the little girls saying, well the face go to heaven.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I thought that was funny. I was like always sad.
- 17:46Speaker 3: So they're probably my favorite moments out.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Of this episode. Yeah, so you've had a couple of mine.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I like the dolly zoom bit from the second segment.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I liked that.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I also liked my mom mentioned it before my face
- 17:56Speaker 1: my old face, and from the last one wasn't really
- 18:00Speaker 1: too much, but I did like a background gag and
- 18:02Speaker 1: it said sugar was on the shelf for Hinder and
- 18:05Speaker 1: then next to it said it's sugar Comma free donuts
- 18:08Speaker 1: as opposed to.
- 18:11Speaker 3: No money. Dawn.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Next question, you there eating the beast.
- 18:15Speaker 1: All right, trivia time. My first question for you is
- 18:18Speaker 1: what brand of Greece I can see you've already got it.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Grandma Slicks makes the first appearance in the last as
- 18:25Speaker 3: a Crisco. It makes a cameo appearance in Plastic World.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It does.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yes, Grandma Slicks pure frying lard. What's your next question?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Who is the maker of the Texas Hatsmacker and where
- 18:34Speaker 3: are they located? I knew you're going to ask that.
- 18:36Speaker 3: It says on the side of it when they make
- 18:37Speaker 3: it New Hampshire. Uh No, it is made by Hattapolt
- 18:42Speaker 3: Industries in Trenton, New Jersey.
- 18:44Speaker 1: New Jersey. Damn new something. My next question for you
- 18:47Speaker 1: is what does Herman's Military now have his antique store
- 18:50Speaker 1: now have in the seventies?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Oh gosh, that's a really good question.
- 18:53Speaker 1: At the start of the first segment, he's discussed who's
- 18:56Speaker 1: riding bus and his.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Roller skates or bades? Okay, well, stuff to do with Vietnam.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I'm guessing yeah, Vietnam War. So plus that was really lucky. Guess.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I really only one more question because you stole gram
- 19:09Speaker 3: must lick from me, that's all right? Mel, was with
- 19:14Speaker 3: which improv group?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Groundings? Yeah, we have a Groundlings Sunday. I thought there
- 19:21Speaker 1: was only one Groundings. I just I was like, I
- 19:24Speaker 1: missed it. I was like, Groundings will do?
- 19:27Speaker 3: It was Groundings Sunday Company.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Sunday Company. My final question for you is sideshow Mel
- 19:31Speaker 1: as well. What was the segment called that he was
- 19:35Speaker 1: maimed in?
- 19:36Speaker 3: Oh? Was it the Juxtus arrect? Yes, and it's like
- 19:39Speaker 3: they're poor chimp on green pies that they bought chim.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I also didn't mind, but did I do that? Which
- 19:46Speaker 1: is a reference that kids today would have no idea
- 19:48Speaker 1: what's going on? That's just disappeared that show. Really, it's
- 19:51Speaker 1: not on any streaming services.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Shall we say it's name outloud? What is it? Oracle?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Like Oracle? But the thing is call is not mentioned
- 20:01Speaker 3: anywhere anymore? Right? Not really? No? I mean Juliel White,
- 20:04Speaker 3: the actor who played it well occasionally sort of pop up.
- 20:06Speaker 3: He's a grown man.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It was the voice of Sonic the Hedghog in the
- 20:09Speaker 1: animated series.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Really hopefully he's, you know, as I like to say,
- 20:14Speaker 3: sitting on a beach, early twenty percent between Sonic money
- 20:16Speaker 3: and Erkle money. I don't think he's probably be no
- 20:19Speaker 3: Erkle moneycause there's no there's no no residual. Yeah, Jiliel White,
- 20:25Speaker 3: what is he doing now? I'm sure he's going on Instagram?
- 20:27Speaker 3: Everyone's going on Instagram? Right, yeah? Or did he? He's
- 20:30Speaker 3: got nearly a million follows on Instagram? Go ahead, good
- 20:33Speaker 3: for you, Juliel. Yeah, did he start his own brand
- 20:36Speaker 3: of something? It was either like he's got a podcast
- 20:39Speaker 3: I want to take get out of here, Julia, you
- 20:42Speaker 3: got take back some of the nice things I said
- 20:44Speaker 3: about it.
- 20:45Speaker 1: He started out now new podcast alert everybody likes it's called.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Can he start his own weed brand or something? Did he?
- 20:51Speaker 3: I mean probably? I remember reading something like Erkle's starting that.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So it's just yeah, him talking this a podcast. He's
- 20:59Speaker 1: with Gene Wilder there, Oh, then his daughter. I'm assuming
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'm assuming this was a while back with it. It
- 21:04Speaker 1: was with gen Wilder. His daughter just turned sixteen. All right,
- 21:09Speaker 1: it's just chat living his life. He's living his best,
- 21:12Speaker 1: living his bestly. It looks like his podcast is doing
- 21:14Speaker 1: really well. He's got some pretty big names on that.
- 21:17Speaker 3: He is OK after all, Julia, if you want to
- 21:19Speaker 3: come on one of the full finger discountancy what he says, yeah, absolutely,
- 21:23Speaker 3: or he want us to appear on your show. This
- 21:24Speaker 3: is the thing. The worst I can say is just
- 21:26Speaker 3: no or just who dis Oh yeah, but you know,
- 21:30Speaker 3: did I take that personally? I did not take it personally.
- 21:32Speaker 1: All right, let's get into our review, shall we of
- 21:35Speaker 1: Triosphara thirty seven Oh my God, that originally aired last
- 21:38Speaker 1: week As we record this Octoban nineteenth, twenty twenty five,
- 21:41Speaker 1: production code three six A B F one five, written
- 21:45Speaker 1: by the first segment of the Last Days of Chris Go
- 21:47Speaker 1: Brodie Gupta, the second seventh clown Knight with the Devil
- 21:49Speaker 1: by Michael Price, our man Michael Price, and third was
- 21:52Speaker 1: Plastic World by Dan Grainey, who's been with the show
- 21:55Speaker 1: since like season seven.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I believe Wow.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I think he left for a while then he came back.
- 21:59Speaker 1: But the guests include so Wayne the Grip who was
- 22:01Speaker 1: Wayne the Grip.
- 22:03Speaker 3: He's the one who said I better get a smoke
- 22:04Speaker 3: break for this. I think he's the one who shot
- 22:06Speaker 3: mister teeney Ah, that's Ike Baron Baronholks who he is
- 22:11Speaker 3: on Speaks Panicles. Yeah, he's on nobody wants Oh, I know, No,
- 22:17Speaker 3: I'm thinking I'm thinking of another actor entirely forget I
- 22:19Speaker 3: said that. Okay, but I Baron Holt's been a bunch
- 22:21Speaker 3: of that. He was in those The Neighbors movies, the
- 22:24Speaker 3: Bad Neighbors movies. I am seth Rogen. Yeah, hey, I
- 22:27Speaker 3: believe he is currently filming a movie where he's playing
- 22:30Speaker 3: Elon Musk and he sort of looks a bit of elonish. Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Viral Davis was in Plastic World. She was the narrator
- 22:36Speaker 1: and the plastic Maggie Simpson. It is alb as we
- 22:38Speaker 1: mentioned earlier, was the Devil. Matt Groening, as himself in
- 22:41Speaker 1: the opening said we were talking about in just a
- 22:42Speaker 1: moment now, Michael Keaton was hol Julian. Who was Hal Julian.
- 22:47Speaker 3: When I was looking this up, I was like, first
- 22:49Speaker 3: of all, I did not know Michael Keaton was in
- 22:50Speaker 3: this episode, and secondly, like, you who is Hel Julian?
- 22:53Speaker 3: Hel Jillian is the agent of Krusty? Ah it did?
- 22:58Speaker 3: I mean? I guess Michael Kitten's got a kind of
- 23:00Speaker 3: distinctive voice, although generally it's it's how Julian in any
- 23:04Speaker 3: other episode, No, that's the only one that to look
- 23:06Speaker 3: it up. To the JYM, they said that Michael Keaton
- 23:08Speaker 3: hasn't of course, appeared on The Simpsons before in pokem Mom.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I believe it is the title of the episode, but
- 23:13Speaker 3: this is his second time, but yet playing a different character.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I don't think how Julian has been on the sentence
- 23:17Speaker 3: before and certainly not voiced by Michael Keaton.
- 23:19Speaker 1: One thing I will say about all this, besides the
- 23:21Speaker 1: viol Davis obviously, I like that they're getting big name
- 23:24Speaker 1: guest does on again and not just having them play themselves.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It's like they've realized, oh, we don't need to try
- 23:29Speaker 1: and tell you who this person is anymore. Well, we
- 23:31Speaker 1: can get a guest star on and just have wanted
- 23:34Speaker 1: to do a play a character.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Or if you're like me, though, he will have to
- 23:36Speaker 3: get onto Wikipedia. Michael Keaton was in there.
- 23:38Speaker 1: That's a good thing though, right it is. I mean,
- 23:41Speaker 1: would you have known that Dustin Hoffman was in the
- 23:44Speaker 1: Mister Bergham episode back in the day, because he didn't
- 23:46Speaker 1: even come up as miss as dust I think.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I would have because I think his delivery of lines
- 23:52Speaker 3: is very distinctive and his voice is pretty distinctive. Yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 3: and Michael Keaton's usually is as well, but for some reason,
- 23:57Speaker 3: I just didn't tweak this time.
- 23:58Speaker 1: This is a good performance, really, I guess, So yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 1: This show is brought to you by the four Finger

- 24:27Speaker 1: the guest stars. Now the episode kicks off with the
- 24:31Speaker 1: catch game, a guest couch gag. Right, it's called America
- 24:34Speaker 1: the Beautiful? What is actually called? And it was by
- 24:37Speaker 1: Stan Kelly of The Onion.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yes, you know, Stan cut has become well known mainly,
- 24:42Speaker 3: and I guess the animation style that's presented in this
- 24:46Speaker 3: opening has become well known mainly because of one frame
- 24:49Speaker 3: or that something that's been sort of repurposed as a meme,
- 24:51Speaker 3: which is you've got the person that wein no going yes, yes,
- 24:54Speaker 3: and it's like he's got so anytime. As a name
- 24:59Speaker 3: for it's from twenty fifteen. Yeah, yeah, it's called painful
- 25:04Speaker 3: Procepure Yeah. Yeah, where it's basically conservative people sitting inside
- 25:09Speaker 3: it's like, oh my god, everything on TV is like
- 25:11Speaker 3: shocking and terrible, all this perversions coming into everything, and
- 25:14Speaker 3: you've got people outside going yeah that's right, Oh no,
- 25:16Speaker 3: no no. But in that it's it says, are you
- 25:19Speaker 3: talking about painful procedure or the thing on the the
- 25:22Speaker 3: paid for procedure?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Yeah, because in painful procedure, what actually happens is they're
- 25:26Speaker 1: looking at the TV and the Cops Show says the
- 25:29Speaker 1: tagline is if drugs were legalized, Oh that's right, and
- 25:32Speaker 1: the Cops Show is just like sorry, guys, no more
- 25:34Speaker 1: show anymore. So like these people have no more network
- 25:36Speaker 1: TV because drugs are legalized.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's a bit different, sorry, ma, stafy time.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but here this one here is just a patriotic
- 25:43Speaker 1: family says, because what's I say. In the original one,
- 25:45Speaker 1: it says says like honest family stuff on their shirts.
- 25:47Speaker 3: What does it say honest viewers, honest viewers, innocent Kidsah yeah, yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 3: well this one here says on the dad's shirt says
- 25:54Speaker 3: on a citizens, loving parents, innocent kids. And they gets
- 25:57Speaker 3: it's also got the statue of Liberty crying.
- 25:59Speaker 1: As okay, yeah, we'll get scared by the Ghuls coming
- 26:02Speaker 1: from the woods and they are trade wars pronouns, which
- 26:04Speaker 1: I thought was Conny and the Measles outbreak. They run
- 26:06Speaker 1: in to watch America's only safe space network television. They
- 26:09Speaker 1: turn the TV to show The Simpsons, which is referred
- 26:11Speaker 1: to as a thirty seven year old TV show with
- 26:13Speaker 1: Matt Groenie outside in the window with the network, I
- 26:16Speaker 1: think we'll create a sickos on the honey shirt playing
- 26:19Speaker 1: up that that onion bit. Yeah, as you're saying, if
- 26:22Speaker 1: you know what it is, it's not bad, it's pretty Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I mean, as we've said when we have very treous
- 26:27Speaker 3: of horrory though, I mean it's the horror again. Like
- 26:30Speaker 3: I said, it's a lot of like we're up to date, guys.
- 26:33Speaker 3: You know, we're keeping keeping pace with the zard guys.
- 26:36Speaker 3: We said that about the I guess the first episode
- 26:39Speaker 3: of season thirty seven as well, it's like, well, this
- 26:41Speaker 3: feels like, you know, the Simpsons in modern times, and
- 26:45Speaker 3: I think we really appreciated that. So I mean, you've
- 26:47Speaker 3: got to give them a shout out for this. It's like, Okay,
- 26:50Speaker 3: this is what the kids are into. Well, this is
- 26:51Speaker 3: what is in you know, the current sort of consciousness
- 26:55Speaker 3: that Sickos meme is everywhere. Yeah, yeah, I mean that's
- 26:57Speaker 3: always used when it's like, really shouldn't be liking this,
- 27:01Speaker 3: but I do. For the Sickos. Yeah, I was like,
- 27:03Speaker 3: I approve.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I really wish that one year though, they just go
- 27:08Speaker 1: back to that classic Treouse of Horror opening theme and
- 27:11Speaker 1: just going through the graveyard because it used to be
- 27:12Speaker 1: on the gravestones.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Sure.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it would say things that are dying. I remember
- 27:17Speaker 1: it said TV violence brought holes, blood polls out there.
- 27:19Speaker 1: So I'd love for want to go back just for
- 27:21Speaker 1: a bit of a nostalgia there. But the first act
- 27:23Speaker 1: is called the Last Day of Crisco. Indeed, it's in
- 27:26Speaker 1: the seventies disco. Stu is loving life. He's on his
- 27:28Speaker 1: roller skates, He's riding past the ASSEC Theater which is
- 27:31Speaker 1: showing us at the title of the of the segment
- 27:33Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, again, Sorry I'm putting my movie Nerd Hatter
- 27:36Speaker 3: here on here, but I mean that whole thing is
- 27:38Speaker 3: kind of a play on Boogie Nights as well. Boogie
- 27:40Speaker 3: Nights opens with yeah with the title of the movie
- 27:43Speaker 3: on a cinema marquee, and there's a bit of a
- 27:45Speaker 3: one shot through and set the seventies. Yeah, and set
- 27:47Speaker 3: in the seventies and roller skates as well.
- 27:49Speaker 1: So yeah, they're like with disco stew wasn't nude like
- 27:51Speaker 1: other Graham correct, but oh god, but he's riding past
- 27:58Speaker 1: doors like just lava lamps. As we were saying earlier,
- 28:00Speaker 1: Herman's Military Antiques now has sour plus from Vietnam War. Now,
- 28:04Speaker 1: note here this is the first time that we see
- 28:06Speaker 1: Sophia Mussolini, which is Luanne van Holton's mother, the younger
- 28:09Speaker 1: version of her in Springfielduse we've seen her in Italy
- 28:11Speaker 1: when she's older, but she's walking here with Luyen van Holton,
- 28:16Speaker 1: not Van Luen. Yeah, Missolini, yes, which is younger. The
- 28:19Speaker 1: thing is, though, the timelinees all over the joint because
- 28:22Speaker 1: Jimbo and and Seanna are like right next to her.
- 28:26Speaker 3: What is going on here?
- 28:28Speaker 1: But he goes to Lad Lad Donuts, which is also
- 28:31Speaker 1: dressed like the seventies. He's got syeburns and whatnot, very
- 28:34Speaker 1: much like what say season six of mad Men? When
- 28:37Speaker 1: do they get the big sideburns in mad Men at
- 28:39Speaker 1: the end, wasn't it?
- 28:40Speaker 3: It was? Yeah, they were a rock approach in the seventies.
- 28:43Speaker 3: He can we could not rock those sideburns. He looked horrific.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I got to give a shout out to either. I'd
- 28:49Speaker 3: like to think that the act of it's been some cathars. Alright,
- 28:51Speaker 3: who played Pete Campbell? I think so, I think that's
- 28:54Speaker 3: you interview him, didn't hed no, no, But when I
- 28:57Speaker 3: interviewed Matthew, Matthew Winer, that's w Yeah. It was saying
- 29:00Speaker 3: it's like I thought I was being very deep, saying,
- 29:02Speaker 3: you know, we all think we're don Draper. Were all
- 29:04Speaker 3: really Pete? Oh yeah, we all are. Yeah. Yeah. But
- 29:08Speaker 3: whether he is an actor said I think we should
- 29:10Speaker 3: go this way with Pete or the people behind the
- 29:12Speaker 3: scenes said we're going this way with Pete. Yeah. The bolding, yeah,
- 29:16Speaker 3: the balding thing and just yeah, putting a little bit
- 29:18Speaker 3: of extra weight. It's like this is probably what this
- 29:19Speaker 3: guy would do I mean not necessarily, not necessarily that
- 29:24Speaker 3: his hair would fall out, but it's like this is
- 29:26Speaker 3: the way things will go. I mean, Don Draper stays
- 29:28Speaker 3: Don Draper from episode one to episode end. But other
- 29:33Speaker 3: people's like, yeah, he put on a little weight, hairline receipt.
- 29:36Speaker 3: It doesn't know how good he's really got at arme
- 29:37Speaker 3: happens for the best of it. Mary Alison Brie. What
- 29:40Speaker 3: a lord? That guy on the show. He's married to
- 29:45Speaker 3: Alison Bree. In real life he was married to Rory Gilmore. Really,
- 29:49Speaker 3: let's split it now.
- 29:50Speaker 1: We've been watching with watching it now, we've sort of
- 29:53Speaker 1: got a bit over it. Body of Proof Oh yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 1: and it got the with Dina Deleni. Yeah, but it's
- 29:58Speaker 1: like the wee be like science guy with the glasses.
- 30:01Speaker 1: He was married to the redhead from mad Men.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, oh yeah that's right. Was like, what
- 30:06Speaker 3: the fuck?
- 30:07Speaker 1: Oh, because she guest starred on on Body of Proof
- 30:09Speaker 1: and Nicholas like, man, those guys are just a mismatch.
- 30:12Speaker 1: There's no way he's The joke is this guy could
- 30:14Speaker 1: ever have her? And I was like, I know, right,
- 30:15Speaker 1: who was she married to?
- 30:17Speaker 3: What? What the fucking Mallace I'm pretty sure when mad
- 30:21Speaker 3: Man was out inside, everyone was like, oh, everybody loves
- 30:24Speaker 3: Joan Holloway. Oh what does she single? Then, guy like,
- 30:30Speaker 3: what is going on?
- 30:31Speaker 1: Gives us all hope, right, gave us I've got my
- 30:34Speaker 1: my red head, but gave us all.
- 30:38Speaker 3: How we're going onto this? Oh that's right there.
- 30:40Speaker 1: But Wigan was investigating the theft of the grease. Didn't
- 30:44Speaker 1: take anything else but the grease that they cooked the
- 30:46Speaker 1: donuts in. He tastes the primo stuff out of the drain.
- 30:48Speaker 1: We can hear there's something down the drain and it's
- 30:51Speaker 1: the fat bird and it drags him down the drain,
- 30:53Speaker 1: doesn't quite pull him in, thinks the crisis is over
- 30:54Speaker 1: and gets the plunger and plunges him down.
- 30:56Speaker 3: That's straight out of the blob, so it is correct.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah, now, fat bird, that burg's a real baby apparently.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So yeah, living in the.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Sewers, about living the sewers really just making life unpleasant
- 31:09Speaker 3: for the sewers because yeah, I mean you'll down the
- 31:12Speaker 3: drain and I'm like, it would look horrific down there,
- 31:14Speaker 3: Oh my god. Yeah, but yeah, I think the tabloids
- 31:18Speaker 3: really used to run with it. You know, they're like, oh,
- 31:20Speaker 3: why is our infrastructure so bad? You know, why the
- 31:23Speaker 3: sinks were blocked up or whatever? And yeah, some would
- 31:24Speaker 3: go down to the sewers like, holy shit, you won't
- 31:27Speaker 3: believe what we saw. You don't want to down there,
- 31:29Speaker 3: because yeah, even the best of us have occasionally been
- 31:32Speaker 3: a bit lazy. It's like I've only a little bit
- 31:33Speaker 3: of oil, you know, straight down, bit of bacon grease
- 31:36Speaker 3: left in the pan.
- 31:37Speaker 1: But I rate when she caught me doing it, it.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Was slidifying blot the drains. I'm like, yeah, it's tomorrow,
- 31:45Speaker 3: Brennon probably. Then yeah, it's been tomorrow, Guy's probably, And
- 31:50Speaker 3: I've had to go on and then David over it's
- 31:52Speaker 3: like things are blocking up. He goes, oh, it could
- 31:55Speaker 3: be could be tree roots, but yeah, it could be
- 31:57Speaker 3: grease of baking it as the Davis's. No, but fatburgs
- 32:09Speaker 3: were a very real deal and they grow to monstrous sizes.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yes, apparently, so Quimby announced that they're never replacing the
- 32:16Speaker 1: irreplaceable Wigham with Lou.
- 32:18Speaker 3: No last thing. Apparently, it's just Lou. It's just Lou.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And he says he'll do what it takes to find
- 32:23Speaker 1: out what did this to our chief and your removes
- 32:25Speaker 1: a blanket and we've got Wigham's nose his hat, and
- 32:27Speaker 1: I believe he's lad.
- 32:29Speaker 3: That's yes.
- 32:30Speaker 1: How many's when we want tribut questions? How many stamps
- 32:32Speaker 1: did he have? For how many?
- 32:33Speaker 3: It was five? There? Yeah he had four, but one
- 32:36Speaker 3: was a different color. It was three or five? Where
- 32:38Speaker 3: marked out? Yes? Do you do do those?
- 32:40Speaker 1: When you have like cards, like every time you come
- 32:42Speaker 1: you get an extra stamp, have a little subway all
- 32:45Speaker 1: the time.
- 32:45Speaker 3: But nowhere really does it anymore that I that I
- 32:47Speaker 3: go to the one place that I do because I
- 32:50Speaker 3: used to have cards for a lot of different places,
- 32:52Speaker 3: coffee shops whatever, Yeah, carbs. The only place I really
- 32:58Speaker 3: do it now is Zambre, the Mexican joint do it
- 33:01Speaker 3: was every tenth, every ten, every time you get free burrito.
- 33:04Speaker 3: That's pretty awesome, why sister b I never had him before.
- 33:08Speaker 3: My sister got nicola one and she opened it. I
- 33:10Speaker 3: was like, what fucking guys?
- 33:13Speaker 1: There was this massive what you kind of like half
- 33:15Speaker 1: of it was like more than a meal, that's right, baby.
- 33:17Speaker 3: I couldn't believe it. So it was jam packed usually
- 33:21Speaker 3: when when usually we're no free clout. But having said that,
- 33:25Speaker 3: shout out to Zambrero.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I was like, I cannot believe how stuffed this thing is. Yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 1: because take that in one with it.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Lou contact the other night, not Lou from the Simpsons,
- 33:36Speaker 3: but lovely Louise. I said, what do you want for dinner?
- 33:41Speaker 3: I'll pick you up something. He goes, yeah, I'm pretty beat.
- 33:44Speaker 3: How about we just watched some TV. You can pick
- 33:46Speaker 3: us up some guzmand and Gomez. What is that Mexican
- 33:49Speaker 3: it is? Ok? I was like, zambre you just sent
- 33:54Speaker 3: it in a major e a suit like you money's
- 33:58Speaker 3: too tight for zambre have me said that it's a bargain. Yeah, no,
- 34:04Speaker 3: free ads but stuff. I was like, okay, I'll pick
- 34:07Speaker 3: you up some G and G or whatever. So she
- 34:09Speaker 3: says she's going to get you. No, no, she was like,
- 34:11Speaker 3: how about you pick us up there? And I'm not staying.
- 34:16Speaker 3: You don't text it, you filmed yourself. Go. Yeah. I
- 34:21Speaker 3: picked her up some G and gen. Everyone everyone was happy.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I didn't need zambreros. Oh she had that Zambreros. No, No,
- 34:27Speaker 3: I got because wind going both of us. It's okay,
- 34:31Speaker 3: I yeah, you drive the way. I'll be back. I
- 34:38Speaker 3: was like Tom Hanks and cars.
- 34:41Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Guys usually here by God, that's sad. There will be
- 34:51Speaker 3: no business, and I don't tell the children that's so
- 34:53Speaker 3: sad in Cars Away, don't spoil it for anybody's watch.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It started as a twenty year old film. Thirty year
- 34:58Speaker 3: old film? How old is that movie? Do thousand? Two
- 35:00Speaker 3: thousand and one, two thousand? Holy ship?
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yeah you did it on the check it on the
- 35:06Speaker 1: movie tho. Yeah, it is Tom Hanks sensational in that movie,
- 35:08Speaker 1: very good Man movie. Yes, but you're right, it's very
- 35:11Speaker 1: very sad, very slight that. How did we get to that?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Uh? Fatburg Charizo? No, you you've got a Dembrero's you got,
- 35:19Speaker 3: But why do you mention Sambrero's. I can't remember cards?
- 35:22Speaker 1: Cards, yes, yeah, yes, cards, yes, loyal car we got there.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Someone I said, I'm talking about these brains. Keep them
- 35:32Speaker 1: going my memory, mate.
- 35:35Speaker 3: You realize that I've got twenty years of great now.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I forgot what I had the cards about the cards.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I don't know if I've ever said this on one
- 35:44Speaker 3: of our podcasts, but it's like the closest we have
- 35:46Speaker 3: to being a ghost is listening to a podcast and
- 35:51Speaker 3: it's like no, it's like you'll be able to walk
- 35:55Speaker 3: or listening in your car or whatever and someone gets
- 35:56Speaker 3: something wrong and no, you don't understand. It's actually you
- 36:00Speaker 3: say where they.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Don't go back and correct themselves. That's now you have
- 36:04Speaker 1: to email you.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Well, I'm wonder if I should save this for the
- 36:08Speaker 3: movie guy, because it's probably the only thing that this
- 36:09Speaker 3: guy listens to. But we recently covered hurt Locker and
- 36:12Speaker 3: House of Dynamite and I mentioned a couple of things
- 36:14Speaker 3: on it, and there's this one guy on Twitter. I'll mention,
- 36:17Speaker 3: I'll mention my name on the movie guy. But it's
- 36:20Speaker 3: never like, hey Lennon guy, I love the show. You're
- 36:22Speaker 3: doing great. It's always you said this. You mean this
- 36:28Speaker 3: because he's your corrector Oh very much so. But we
- 36:32Speaker 3: were talking about hurt Locker and I said, oh, yeah,
- 36:34Speaker 3: Captain Biggielow and I don't know if I said she's
- 36:36Speaker 3: the only woman who have ever won an Oscar for
- 36:38Speaker 3: Best Director or maybe yea. And since then it's been
- 36:42Speaker 3: Jane Campion one one and so did Chloe jo for
- 36:45Speaker 3: Nomad Land and he's put Jane. I'm not going to
- 36:48Speaker 3: give him. Comic book Guy've always, although you do deserve it, dude.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I remember when you said, I was like, oh really,
- 36:54Speaker 1: well only one ever? Well it sounds like Hollywood.
- 36:58Speaker 3: I just kept editing. But then there's a uh yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 3: this gentleman numb right. And also these guys here so offended.
- 37:05Speaker 3: But but he's all done that more than one so,
- 37:07Speaker 3: which means I've made more than one mistake. Yeah, you
- 37:11Speaker 3: guys said we were talking about that ghosts Gods cards
- 37:15Speaker 3: were returning to God. We now returned to the last
- 37:17Speaker 3: as a Chrisco from Treehouse Fodor thirty six already in price.
- 37:20Speaker 1: At least sid He's gonna try and solve this problem.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Here did that end?
- 37:24Speaker 3: I brought in a local expert in all things having
- 37:27Speaker 3: to do with sewers, sewage and human waste. Yeah, how
- 37:31Speaker 3: you doing?
- 37:31Speaker 2: I spent my life in them pipes, panning for subway
- 37:34Speaker 2: tokens and lose filings, and over the years, loose people
- 37:38Speaker 2: have turned my beautiful sewer into a cesspool or your
- 37:41Speaker 2: cooking glease and your animal fats down the drain, and
- 37:45Speaker 2: over time that clopping cook stuck together and coagulated into
- 37:49Speaker 2: what the legends call.
- 37:50Speaker 3: A fat burg.
- 37:54Speaker 2: I'm just a simple tird manga, But there is only
- 37:56Speaker 2: one explanation. Got fat bird got so big, It's got
- 38:00Speaker 2: a feat and it's on the hunt for more grease,
- 38:03Speaker 2: and it's going to eat this whole lard, Love and City.
