- 0:34Speaker 1: Gentlemen, I ask your attention peace in the show. It
- 0:44Speaker 1: startsta life past seven six high.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Uie shoot, cool, good evening, Good evening, Welcome to another
- 1:16Speaker 2: episode of Bad to Business. I am your host, Shine
- 1:19Speaker 2: and Saffron. Thank you for joining me tonight on this
- 1:23Speaker 2: beautiful Memorial Day. Happy Sunday to everybody. Yeah, thank you
- 1:29Speaker 2: for joining me today. I got a little bit of
- 1:31Speaker 2: a toothache, so I'm gonna try to push through as
- 1:34Speaker 2: us grown up to do. So bear with me a
- 1:37Speaker 2: little bit. But it's a lot of things I want
- 1:40Speaker 2: to talk about this evening. It's a lot of things
- 1:43Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about this evening. I don't
- 1:47Speaker 2: really want to talk about politics today. I don't want
- 1:51Speaker 2: to talk about the ugliness in the world today. I
- 1:54Speaker 2: know that my podcast, if you've been following, is about
- 1:57Speaker 2: bringing all diverse discussions to business and seeing if we can,
- 2:03Speaker 2: you know, find some common ground, find some way we
- 2:06Speaker 2: can bring some business to all the ugliness. Right, So
- 2:10Speaker 2: that's what my podcast podcast is about. But I don't
- 2:13Speaker 2: always talk talk about ugliness. I talk about just different
- 2:17Speaker 2: things going on in our communities and our culture and
- 2:19Speaker 2: again just still trying to bring it to the business
- 2:21Speaker 2: table and trying to organize a business aspect, bring some
- 2:27Speaker 2: new business to the culture. All those things diversify, diversify things,
- 2:34Speaker 2: but still again, like I said, find some common ground.
- 2:37Speaker 2: So so that's what this podcast is about. So again,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I always want to talk about ugliness, and I always
- 2:42Speaker 2: I don't always have pretty to talk about. So, you know,
- 2:47Speaker 2: like I said, there's some things that I really want
- 2:49Speaker 2: to talk about and some things I really don't want.
- 2:50Speaker 3: To talk about.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about how I'm still seeing
- 2:54Speaker 2: that there's billions being spent on ice camps and detention
- 2:58Speaker 2: centers and segregation procedures. You know, yet you're still closing
- 3:05Speaker 2: federal buildings and departments and schools. You know, we don't
- 3:09Speaker 2: want to talk about that. That's still boggling my mind.
- 3:12Speaker 2: In the first schools they attack were the elementary schools.
- 3:15Speaker 3: That's where it starts.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It's not good enough that we are burning up history
- 3:20Speaker 2: and destroying history books and telling people that certain things
- 3:23Speaker 2: are of folk or.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Like slavery and stuff like that. It's not good enough.
- 3:27Speaker 2: We want to go ahead and make sure that they
- 3:29Speaker 2: can even have access to things. So we're closing down
- 3:31Speaker 2: elementary schools. I don't know what the new thing is
- 3:34Speaker 2: to what the resolution is. I haven't really followed up
- 3:37Speaker 2: on that, which I should, but uh yeah, so we
- 3:41Speaker 2: don't really want to talk about that. But like I said,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I don't really want to just talk about politics, even
- 3:47Speaker 2: though that's the biggest topic right now what's going on,
- 3:49Speaker 2: because that is what's going on. But on this beautiful
- 3:54Speaker 2: Memorial Day, while we're trying to remember some good things
- 3:57Speaker 2: and some good people who did some good works that
- 4:01Speaker 2: caused us good people to still be here, I just
- 4:05Speaker 2: want to make sure that I give a shout out
- 4:07Speaker 2: to those people who are to be remembered this day,
- 4:11Speaker 2: and make sure that you give your respects to those
- 4:13Speaker 2: families and things of that nature. And to those families
- 4:15Speaker 2: that do have people of remembrance, we salute you. Let
- 4:19Speaker 2: me thank you for sacrificing your families to do the
- 4:22Speaker 2: things that were required of your family. So again, Happy
- 4:27Speaker 2: Memorial Day. Salute. So part of the things I don't
- 4:33Speaker 2: want to talk about are the conflicts and the convos
- 4:38Speaker 2: about the waste and fraud and abuse and the Russian
- 4:41Speaker 2: roulette of the tariffs and the terrorists and you know
- 4:46Speaker 2: what's new to me, probably old to y'all. As I
- 4:49Speaker 2: just heard the expression the other day trump ism. Trump
- 4:54Speaker 2: Ism is a thing now, I guess. And while we
- 4:58Speaker 2: try to minimize this small minded person, we've now given him,
- 5:05Speaker 2: you know, we I guess, we have to categorize him
- 5:09Speaker 2: to be able to departmentalize him. You know, we got
- 5:12Speaker 2: to say he's this, to put him away, even though
- 5:15Speaker 2: don't want to think about it and don't want to
- 5:16Speaker 2: deal with him. We have to do those types of things.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So we did whoever did, But like I said, I
- 5:22Speaker 2: just heard about that. So trump Ism is now a
- 5:26Speaker 2: household conversation, I guess. And that's what it's called. And
- 5:29Speaker 2: not in my house because that's for me and my house.
- 5:31Speaker 3: We will serve the Lord.
- 5:32Speaker 2: But that I heard that expression, and that kind of
- 5:35Speaker 2: threw me back. But it's so common, and like I said,
- 5:37Speaker 2: although it's very important, it's not the end all. Until
- 5:41Speaker 2: all of what's going on today, we've learned that the
- 5:45Speaker 2: president himself cannot just speak things into existence. I was
- 5:50Speaker 2: listening to a political conference where, in the words of
- 5:58Speaker 2: Representative Delhia Rama, and she said, Trump's will is not
- 6:02Speaker 2: the guiding doctrine of this nation, is not the guiding
- 6:06Speaker 2: doctrine of this nation. And again that's been proven. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: although he has been able to do some things and
- 6:13Speaker 2: call some uproar, that's just what he's known to do.
- 6:16Speaker 2: He just, I guess, invited and recruited a crew to
- 6:21Speaker 2: help him do it too. He knew he wasn't going
- 6:24Speaker 2: to be able to carry out some things by hisself.
- 6:26Speaker 2: So you know, as cowards usually do, they go get
- 6:32Speaker 2: their crew. They see how they can carry out some
- 6:34Speaker 2: things with a group behind them, and that's what's going on.
- 6:37Speaker 2: So we'll see. But even people like Representative Ramirez and
- 6:46Speaker 2: people like Jasmine Crockett, who is you know, living proof
- 6:51Speaker 2: of I mean, if anybody could get it was a
- 6:54Speaker 2: person Jasmine Crockett is doing that. But they're doing the
- 7:00Speaker 2: right things. And while they were not the people we
- 7:04Speaker 2: voted for to help us make change, they are definitely
- 7:08Speaker 2: raising conversation and raising eyebrows to the people who did
- 7:12Speaker 2: vote for this presidential administration. So that's the start, right,
- 7:16Speaker 2: So we salute them for that on this Memorial Day.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Thanks for being there and doing the things that are
- 7:24Speaker 2: necessary to make some change. And as one of the
- 7:27Speaker 2: models here that we take on is we we are
- 7:30Speaker 2: the change. You want to see, and you are definitely
- 7:32Speaker 2: the change we want to see, so we appreciate you
- 7:35Speaker 2: keep doing that. We got to learn how to support
- 7:36Speaker 2: these people, follow these people, and you know, speak up,
- 7:40Speaker 2: So we'll see how that goes. But like I said,
- 7:44Speaker 2: they're doing a great job and I'm gonna let them
- 7:46Speaker 2: do their thing. And there's nothing that they're saying that
- 7:49Speaker 2: I couldn't say, wouldn't say, or wouldn't think of to say.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So now we wait on some answers because there's also
- 7:57Speaker 2: a request for a resignation on the ballot and I'm
- 8:01Speaker 2: looking for that. So I want to see a sixteen
- 8:05Speaker 2: page questionnaire answered, and if not, just go ahead and
- 8:09Speaker 2: turn in your badge, because then you're not the woman
- 8:11Speaker 2: for the job. But we'll get into that later. Some
- 8:16Speaker 2: else I don't want to talk about and what's considered
- 8:19Speaker 2: and entertainment in our news and culture today. It's something
- 8:25Speaker 2: that just kind of bothered me. And I'm gonna just
- 8:28Speaker 2: touch this real quick because I don't have an opinion
- 8:30Speaker 2: of it.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I really don't.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I don't have an opinion of too many people's business anymore.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I'm too busy trying to run my own life.
- 8:36Speaker 2: But I was talking to somebody about the whole Megan,
- 8:39Speaker 2: thee Stallion thing, Megan versus versus Toy. And the interesting
- 8:45Speaker 2: thing that popped out out of all of this to
- 8:47Speaker 2: me was that some stories changed after the young man was.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Hurt in jail.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I do know that people get hurt in jail, right,
- 8:58Speaker 2: How that made some story changed some testimonies really boggles
- 9:03Speaker 2: my mind. And last time I checked, lying and under
- 9:05Speaker 2: oath was a felony, but somehow his life being in
- 9:10Speaker 2: danger was enough for some people to switch out their
- 9:14Speaker 2: stories and switch out his life for theirs.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So we'll see how that comes in.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But that was just, you know, in our entertainment and
- 9:21Speaker 2: news today, part of our entertainment distractions.
- 9:24Speaker 3: That kind of just threw me for a minute.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So we'll see see how that goes. What else, Donna,
- 9:34Speaker 2: I want to talk about in our entertainment? I was
- 9:39Speaker 2: thinking about talking about this Chris Brown thing and and
- 9:43Speaker 2: his coincidental arrest and release around his big tour. I
- 9:52Speaker 2: don't believe in the coincidences. They happen, Things happen. Perfect
- 9:57Speaker 2: timing is what I do believe in, But I just
- 10:03Speaker 2: don't believe any any coincidences. I'm not the type, and
- 10:06Speaker 2: anybody who knows me, you know you won't catch me
- 10:08Speaker 2: holding on to any ideas of coincidences. It's just unreal
- 10:11Speaker 2: to me. However, I do believe in the old school
- 10:17Speaker 2: method of promotion called publicity stunts. Publicity stunts, and I
- 10:25Speaker 2: learned that when I was young watching I Love Lucy.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So am I saying that Chris Brown is a part
- 10:30Speaker 2: of something like that. Of course not. He wouldn't do
- 10:33Speaker 2: his fans like that. He loves to entertain. He loves
- 10:35Speaker 2: what he does, right, we all love what he do,
- 10:39Speaker 2: some of us who have been fortunate enough to see
- 10:41Speaker 2: him do it in person and all those things, so
- 10:43Speaker 2: we've been able to watch him growing all those things.
- 10:45Speaker 2: So do I feel like he's involved in any kind
- 10:47Speaker 2: of publicity stunt propaganda?
- 10:49Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I do believe that there are people behind the scenes,
- 10:54Speaker 2: powers that be behind entertainers that do certain things that
- 10:59Speaker 2: they may feel are for the well benefit of the company,
- 11:02Speaker 2: the artist, whatever benefit for a whole or an individual,
- 11:09Speaker 2: And they can make or break a situation. And do
- 11:13Speaker 2: I feel like something like that happened with Chris Brown situation?
- 11:16Speaker 3: Or do that's just me?
- 11:19Speaker 2: But I mean it happened, and we are glad he's
- 11:23Speaker 2: free to entertain and continue on his journey in which
- 11:26Speaker 2: he's trying to do, be a good dad and all
- 11:27Speaker 2: those things. So I just want us to beware things
- 11:31Speaker 2: that still exist under publicity stunts, promotions of publicity stunts.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It happens in all tiers of the public, the public eye,
- 11:41Speaker 2: the public view, and everything we deal in and dabble in.
- 11:44Speaker 2: So let's be mindful of that. Okay, there's always smoky mirrors,
- 11:49Speaker 2: there's always people behind the scenes. There's always people who
- 11:52Speaker 2: can make stuff happen and you know, stop stuff from happening.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So but you know, I love Chris Brown, so it
- 12:00Speaker 2: was always free Chris Brown till it was backwards. So
- 12:03Speaker 2: free CB now's backwards. So glad he's able to keep
- 12:07Speaker 2: doing this thing. But y'all be mindful of stuff like that.
- 12:09Speaker 2: It's happening more in our culture than anywhere, but it's
- 12:13Speaker 2: definitely happening in different places and how the system manipulates people.
- 12:18Speaker 2: So yeah, let's see. I definitely ain't trying to talk
- 12:24Speaker 2: about the whole Diddy thing. I don't even want to
- 12:29Speaker 2: touch any of that. I'm not trying to become a witness,
- 12:32Speaker 2: a victim or an accomplice of anything that he has
- 12:35Speaker 2: his name on. Like I've taken my old so rock
- 12:37Speaker 2: bottles that I had posted up and I'll put them
- 12:39Speaker 2: in storage because I don't want them to.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Use his evidence. Okay, So no shade.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm just saying, it's just way too much surrounding that
- 12:46Speaker 2: thing right now and again for that to be such
- 12:49Speaker 2: something to talk about.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I'm just not with that. I'm just not with that.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I mean, I have a point of view about it,
- 12:59Speaker 2: but it's really not my business. I mean it and
- 13:02Speaker 2: it hurts that it's like something like this going on,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and it is big unfortunately in the public eye, and
- 13:09Speaker 2: that's just what it is. What it is when you
- 13:12Speaker 2: become a celebrity. We all know that's what you sign
- 13:14Speaker 2: up for. But the kids going through stuff and having
- 13:18Speaker 2: to remember things and recollect things that they remember but
- 13:22Speaker 2: couldn't really put together. You know, that's really a family affair,
- 13:25Speaker 2: and it's a public affair now, right, So I mean,
- 13:33Speaker 2: while we're at the table, let's.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Go ahead and talk about it while we're at the
- 13:36Speaker 3: business sable.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I mean, with that being said, I I was listening
- 13:45Speaker 2: to somebody's interview and I've always taken this stance from
- 13:52Speaker 2: the time I heard Diddy's thing, I'm sorry, from the
- 13:56Speaker 2: time I heard that he was under investigation, and then
- 14:00Speaker 2: all this extra.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Stuff started coming out.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I remember some conversations, some interviews sometime back where some
- 14:07Speaker 2: people said some things about him, and it got ignored
- 14:11Speaker 2: and we just kept on dancing to his music and
- 14:13Speaker 2: happy when he came out, and people still attended his parties.
- 14:16Speaker 2: But one of the interviews that I heard recently here
- 14:19Speaker 2: is something that I kind of stood on myself, and
- 14:20Speaker 2: this is why I kind of back out of conversations.
- 14:23Speaker 2: My point of view is one that agrees with mister D. L. Hughley,
- 14:28Speaker 2: who said something like, no I quoted him. If you
- 14:34Speaker 2: watch that happen and didn't say it, you're just as
- 14:37Speaker 2: horrible as he is if it happened, And I stand
- 14:41Speaker 2: on that anyway. I've heard different perspectives of, oh, well,
- 14:46Speaker 2: some people were scared, and this and that and the.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Third how did this come about?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Somebody was scared, somebody who went through something with him
- 14:55Speaker 2: was scared, but they told and then everybody followed too.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I kind of think that that could have happened already,
- 15:08Speaker 2: especially if you know that someone was dang there being tortured.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Some of the people who testified were dang there being tortured,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and yet they were scared.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I understand threats of families all.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Those things, but again, just not really my point of
- 15:25Speaker 2: view to take. My only opinion that I can take
- 15:30Speaker 2: on that is, you know, he could have done better.
- 15:35Speaker 2: He could have done better in all his situations. He
- 15:37Speaker 2: could have done better. We all can do better. But
- 15:41Speaker 2: since my point of view of free Diddy or lock
- 15:46Speaker 2: all of the accomplices up at the same time isn't
- 15:50Speaker 2: really going so well over with the general public's opinion,
- 15:54Speaker 2: I kind of stay out of that. So, yeah, I
- 15:57Speaker 2: don't want to talk about that, but yeah, I said
- 16:00Speaker 2: it two times. So moving on, Let's talk about things
- 16:07Speaker 2: I do want to talk about, since that's what a
- 16:10Speaker 2: podcast is for, right, you talk about things that you
- 16:12Speaker 2: do want to talk about, good things, whatever, good things
- 16:15Speaker 2: and bad things. But I've already expressed what I don't
- 16:18Speaker 2: want to talk about, touch on them.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna let those go.
- 16:20Speaker 2: What I do want to talk about is I've been following,
- 16:27Speaker 2: and it's a shame that I haven't really been posting
- 16:31Speaker 2: and doing some things I've been going through some different things. Again,
- 16:35Speaker 2: if you've been following my podcast, you'll know that I've
- 16:37Speaker 2: had some life changers happen. Life has been lifing all
- 16:41Speaker 2: the time. It ain't gonna stop until life don't life
- 16:44Speaker 2: no more. But Guy's been gotten and he gonna do
- 16:47Speaker 2: that in my after life too. So I'm walking with him,
- 16:52Speaker 2: talking with him, and he's doing some different things. But anyway,
- 16:54Speaker 2: so I've been following the one hundred authors to watch.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Okay, it's an amazing movement. I'm gonna call it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: This is in care of Aspiring Authors magazine with founder
- 17:07Speaker 2: and visionary and my mentor, Queen Angela. Oh my god,
- 17:11Speaker 2: I'm so proud of this lady. I'm so proud to
- 17:13Speaker 2: just know her, to just be connected and just really
- 17:19Speaker 2: be under her guidance and have connections. And I mean,
- 17:26Speaker 2: I'm at a loss for words. It's so much going
- 17:28Speaker 2: on with this So just being connected to this thing,
- 17:31Speaker 2: and she's really just been opening my eyes to different
- 17:35Speaker 2: things just in this movement movement alone, these one hundred authors.
- 17:41Speaker 2: People are dropping book releases, they are you know, doing
- 17:47Speaker 2: multiple book series. They are not only having the courage
- 17:51Speaker 2: to do book tours, but having the opportunity to do
- 17:54Speaker 2: book tours. I've seen it. I'm watching it right before
- 17:58Speaker 2: my very own eyes. And I've only been connected to
- 18:00Speaker 2: this lady five six short months, and I've been invited
- 18:04Speaker 2: to book tours and I've been invited to do interviews
- 18:08Speaker 2: and magazine spreads and just different things to expose me
- 18:14Speaker 2: and myself and my brand and all these things just
- 18:17Speaker 2: by being connected to somebody like this. So I definitely
- 18:20Speaker 2: want to start putting things out there, because it's very
- 18:26Speaker 2: important to be connected to.
- 18:29Speaker 3: A source.
- 18:31Speaker 2: You know. We know that God is our source and
- 18:32Speaker 2: he uses resources, and I definitely feel like He has
- 18:37Speaker 2: created this woman to be a source. But she's definitely
- 18:40Speaker 2: and that's why we call her Queen Angela, the Visionary
- 18:43Speaker 2: Queen of Collaboration. All those great titles that she holds in,
- 18:46Speaker 2: all the many hats, and she wears them hats at
- 18:47Speaker 2: the same time. So again, so proud to know you
- 18:50Speaker 2: and be a part of what you got going on.
- 18:53Speaker 2: But just yeah, different opportunities and I'll be different postings
- 19:01Speaker 2: and promotions and upcoming events to follow and be a
- 19:04Speaker 2: part of. And I just don't want anybody missing any
- 19:07Speaker 2: open doors, especially if I'm somewhat of a gateway. I
- 19:10Speaker 2: talked to before on one of my podcasts about how
- 19:13Speaker 2: God came to me. The spirit came to me and
- 19:15Speaker 2: told me that I need you to go and show up.
- 19:18Speaker 2: And then the next message was, I need you to
- 19:20Speaker 2: be a bridge, not a bench, you know, show people
- 19:22Speaker 2: that you're away and not somebody who just kind of
- 19:24Speaker 2: sits on ideas and sits on collaborations. As well. As
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm connected, and I am very well connected, i haven't
- 19:32Speaker 2: been able to utilize those things and everything, like I said,
- 19:34Speaker 2: but that's a whole other testimony and journey of obedience
- 19:39Speaker 2: on and I'm still on that, so I'll get there.
- 19:43Speaker 2: But she is just doing great things with authors and
- 19:47Speaker 2: people who didn't even know they were authors poets. Like
- 19:50Speaker 2: I said, I had the pleasure of writing two poems
- 19:52Speaker 2: in her anthology, which was released on Amazon and other
- 19:56Speaker 2: reading platforms, and that was like a blessing to me
- 19:59Speaker 2: just coming out the So she has the gift of
- 20:03Speaker 2: seeing potential even if you don't feel it or see
- 20:06Speaker 2: it in yourself. So it's definitely been great just being
- 20:10Speaker 2: a part of the things that she's a part of.
- 20:12Speaker 2: And I'm looking forward to better things so that's definitely
- 20:16Speaker 2: something that I want to be able to share with y'all.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Like I said, be looking for things coming up, stay
- 20:21Speaker 2: tuned for promotions and stuff like that so you can
- 20:23Speaker 2: see what's going on. Hopefully that you can get connected
- 20:25Speaker 2: and start living out some of your dreams because she's
- 20:27Speaker 2: definitely a way maker of some dreams. Still up to you,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm learning that, but she's there. She's been put here
- 20:36Speaker 2: for a reason, and she's a woman with a plan.
- 20:39Speaker 2: So speaking of promotions and authors and opportunities, I am
- 20:44Speaker 2: currently helping to promote and let me say it's definitely
- 20:48Speaker 2: a pleasure. One of the one hundred authors to watch
- 20:51Speaker 2: that I was just talking about, and someone that we
- 20:54Speaker 2: will be promoting her book to or that's coming up,
- 20:58Speaker 2: author Rachel L. Gary. I met her one of the
- 21:02Speaker 2: book tours and events, and she has been, you know,
- 21:05Speaker 2: Hella aspiring to a lot of people. To say the least,
- 21:08Speaker 2: she has already written two books of success, one entitled
- 21:13Speaker 2: Forge in Fire Becoming the Leader of Your Destiny and
- 21:18Speaker 2: the other one is hashtag Poverty to six Figures, Breaking
- 21:22Speaker 2: the Chain to Game. This woman is everything she puts
- 21:29Speaker 2: forth to be. To say the least, of that she
- 21:32Speaker 2: has really changed some lives. Read up about her. You know,
- 21:38Speaker 2: sometimes you you want to know who your author is
- 21:40Speaker 2: to u just as well as anybody else.
- 21:42Speaker 3: You want to know that you're following. But she's awesome, awesome.
- 21:48Speaker 2: And so, like I said, I have the pleasure of
- 21:51Speaker 2: helping to promote her upcoming book tour and book signing.
- 21:54Speaker 2: She also has a podcast called Wake Up CEO out
- 21:57Speaker 2: of Chicago, and I listened to that podcast the other day.
- 22:02Speaker 2: It was really good. She had a guest on there,
- 22:06Speaker 2: Queen Angela, and that was it's just really good to
- 22:09Speaker 2: see kind of like new people and your old friends
- 22:12Speaker 2: connect kind of like that and just see how things
- 22:15Speaker 2: are going, where things are moving. To be able to
- 22:18Speaker 2: see me connected to someone to someone and see that
- 22:22Speaker 2: person connected to somebody so powerful. So again, be mindful
- 22:26Speaker 2: of your circle. You always want to be around people
- 22:27Speaker 2: who are reaching goals and continuing to do better.
- 22:30Speaker 3: And I'm definitely there.
- 22:32Speaker 2: So I'm hoping to latch onto some of that good
- 22:36Speaker 2: energy and positive process and get this life going for real.
- 22:42Speaker 2: But she was at one of the book tours, like
- 22:44Speaker 2: I said, that I was invited to and I had
- 22:47Speaker 2: the pleasure of hearing her speak, and one of the
- 22:51Speaker 2: most things that stood out to me was when she
- 22:55Speaker 2: gave her CEO discourse, CEO standing for Empowerment and Ownership
- 23:02Speaker 2: of your Own Life. Be the CEO of your own life.
- 23:05Speaker 2: One thing that stood out to me the most is
- 23:08Speaker 2: that my teenager, my high schooler, was very interested and
- 23:14Speaker 2: excited and you know, motivated after hearing her speak and
- 23:21Speaker 2: in her words, she said, Mom, she was speaking some
- 23:23Speaker 2: real stuff. She was speaking some real stuff. And I
- 23:26Speaker 2: was like, I mean, I know that, but you know
- 23:28Speaker 2: that you heard that. And to know that she inspired
- 23:31Speaker 2: my teenager kind of did a spark for me too.
- 23:34Speaker 2: It let me know that she is reaching young people.
- 23:36Speaker 2: She just has to have the opportunity. So I'm definitely
- 23:40Speaker 2: trying to promote her, get my daughter to promote her,
- 23:43Speaker 2: do some some things in schools if we can, because
- 23:47Speaker 2: it's a parent. I'm a parent, but it's a parent
- 23:51Speaker 2: that that she's touching minds in different places, in different
- 23:56Speaker 2: ways that other people are not. So definitely want to
- 23:59Speaker 2: give a kudos to her for that. And I'm looking
- 24:02Speaker 2: forward to promoting your book signing and everything coming out
- 24:05Speaker 2: in June. Like I said, I'm just so blessed to
- 24:09Speaker 2: be a part of stuff like that and be around
- 24:11Speaker 2: people of CEO mentalities and that are shaping generations, even
- 24:17Speaker 2: younger ones like my daughter. So thank you for that.
- 24:22Speaker 2: So moving along. Also in my business, excuse me, I'm
- 24:26Speaker 2: getting too excited. I got some good episodes and some
- 24:28Speaker 2: good topics coming up. I've been getting with some people,
- 24:32Speaker 2: doing some interviews, kind of just touching out and seeing
- 24:35Speaker 2: where I can bring some different diversity to the table,
- 24:38Speaker 2: to my table, different topics that I haven't reached out
- 24:42Speaker 2: to do yet. For the most part, I've been kind
- 24:45Speaker 2: of just letting y'all know about me and how I'm
- 24:47Speaker 2: doing things and what this podcast is about. But I
- 24:52Speaker 2: want to start having guests. I have a lot of
- 24:54Speaker 2: things to talk about, a lot of topics. If you
- 24:56Speaker 2: guys want to join in, If you have a topic,
- 24:58Speaker 2: please DM me message let me know what you want
- 25:01Speaker 2: to talk about. Be a guest on my show, be
- 25:03Speaker 2: a guest on any of our shows, and we'll get
- 25:05Speaker 2: you out there. Definitely get your story heard. But I
- 25:08Speaker 2: do have some episodes coming up. My personal favorite that's
- 25:11Speaker 2: coming up is to be or not to be in therapy.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I have talked to different people about this. I actually
- 25:19Speaker 2: have a panel of guests coming up, of course, of
- 25:23Speaker 2: different views and different you know, perspectives of whether therapy
- 25:30Speaker 2: can be good for somebody or not. And these perspectives
- 25:34Speaker 2: will be coming from personal experiences, whether people are in therapy,
- 25:39Speaker 2: have tried therapy, or are trying to decide. So if
- 25:43Speaker 2: you'd like to be a part of that, please let
- 25:46Speaker 2: me know. If not, stay tuned, keep watching. It might
- 25:48Speaker 2: help you. And if it doesn't help you, like I said,
- 25:52Speaker 2: be a part of it so you can help somebody else.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Let's see what else? What else? I have another episode
- 25:59Speaker 2: coming up that I'm really happy about, talking about generational curses,
- 26:06Speaker 2: the good, the bad, and the business kept about it? Right,
- 26:11Speaker 2: who doesn't like to talk about families dirty laundry? But
- 26:17Speaker 2: what I'm doing with this is a little bit different.
- 26:21Speaker 2: We talk about the family's dirty laundry, and we keep it,
- 26:24Speaker 2: you know, tucked away. But what I'm trying to address
- 26:27Speaker 2: in this episode is who's washing the clothes?
- 26:31Speaker 3: Do they ever get washed?
- 26:32Speaker 2: Are we still looking for grandma's and old school aunties
- 26:35Speaker 2: to try to get everybody clean? But the problem is,
- 26:42Speaker 2: and what I'm seeing is there's more stains than soap,
- 26:45Speaker 2: and there seems to be more black street, black black
- 26:48Speaker 2: sheep than back up in our families. So I kind
- 26:52Speaker 2: of want to address that I've been that's been on
- 26:54Speaker 2: my mind for a little while. All these good topics
- 26:58Speaker 2: have been on my mind, So uh, hit again again,
- 27:01Speaker 2: hit me if you want to be a part of
- 27:02Speaker 2: this change or you know, I hope it somehow changes you.
- 27:08Speaker 2: So I'm excited to talk about that and just different things.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I have another episode coming up where I have a
- 27:15Speaker 2: guest who will be He's currently taking a class in psychology,
- 27:21Speaker 2: and I don't want to talk too much about what
- 27:24Speaker 2: he what he's studying, and what he wants to talk about,
- 27:27Speaker 2: because what he brought to me was very interesting, and
- 27:31Speaker 2: he the way he is connecting and or disconnecting our
- 27:40Speaker 2: spirituality to science is really remarkable. Like I told him,
- 27:44Speaker 2: I already have questions and we have not even finished
- 27:49Speaker 2: the episode. We're still going at it. There's still things
- 27:51Speaker 2: that he's bringing and some of the questions that I
- 27:54Speaker 2: have I'm researching. I want to kind of look into.
- 27:59Speaker 2: You know, it's not always up to somebody else to
- 28:01Speaker 2: tell you some stuff.
- 28:02Speaker 3: You gotta do your own research.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It's in the books, or it's in something that they
- 28:07Speaker 2: want to give us information about. So again, as always,
- 28:10Speaker 2: go do your own research, but please please please stay
- 28:13Speaker 2: tuned too Bad to Business and the Crew podcast and
- 28:17Speaker 2: the one hundred authors to watch and Queen Angela and
- 28:21Speaker 2: all of the things we got going on, because I'm
- 28:23Speaker 2: telling you, we got some great things going on again.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I'm so grateful to be a part of these.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Things, and we definitely are the change that you want
- 28:33Speaker 2: to see, the voices that you need to be heard,
- 28:35Speaker 2: and you know, be a part of it. Don't just
- 28:40Speaker 2: be a spectator. You'll see how easy it is to
- 28:44Speaker 2: just be a part of a movement that's doing something right.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Again.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I'm just so blessed to be a part of that
- 28:50Speaker 2: and start doing something and moving something in motion towards
- 28:52Speaker 2: positivity that it sometimes gets overwhelming, but you know, if
- 28:58Speaker 2: you're going to be overwhelmed with something, why not overwhelm
- 29:00Speaker 2: with goodness? Right? So I thank God for all the
- 29:03Speaker 2: things that he's doing in my life that are good, bad,
- 29:06Speaker 2: and indifferent the things that I don't understand. I thank
- 29:09Speaker 2: him for all the good bad and then different things
- 29:11Speaker 2: of his plan that y'all don't understand. In y'all's life
- 29:14Speaker 2: and just pray that you continue to trust him. Follow
- 29:16Speaker 2: the path, try to flow with it instead of going
- 29:19Speaker 2: before it.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Okay again, I.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Am shining saffron. Thank you for joining me. This is
- 29:23Speaker 2: bad to business until the next time. Get with it
- 29:26Speaker 2: or watch me do it. Love y'all,
