Transcript
- 0:03Welcome to the Nerd Polity. Hi, this is Nick Nastasy, story editor
- 0:09on Star Wars, The Clone Wars and Star Wars Bad Batch. And you
- 0:14are listening to Aggressive Negotiations. That's right, It's Aggressive Negotiations, the Star
- 0:26Wars podcast on the Nerd Party Network that strives to take you into the controversial
- 0:31hyperspace lanes as you navigate wild space and every other space that inhabits the Star
- 0:37Wars galaxy. I'm one of your humble hosts, Jedi Master John Mills,
- 0:41and joining me on this journey into the questionable territories of ideology and other things
- 0:49that need to be explored in these tumultuous times, especially the times post Empire
- 0:54and pre rebellion. Is Jedi Master Matthew Rushing, Master Rush, Are you
- 1:00ready to get into what is arguably the fireworks laden kickoff to the final stretch
- 1:08of the first season of The Bad Batch here in our commentary series? Am
- 1:14I ever? Master Mills Like, I'm just so excited that we are.
- 1:19We've got this run of six episodes coming up, and I think it's just
- 1:26going to be so much fun to go back to these And you know,
- 1:30of course, as we're recording this, we're like, I think, four
- 1:34episode, five episodes into the Bad Batch season two, which has been phenomenally
- 1:41fun so far. Can't wait to get further into that. And I just
- 1:45I love this because I'm just being reminded of how good this show is,
- 1:49how much I'm really enjoying it, the characters, and you know, I
- 1:55think being a post revenge of the Sith and really to see what life is
- 2:00like throughout the galaxy as the Empire slowly, you know, but surely takes
- 2:07over everything is so fascinating. And so I love getting to explore each of
- 2:14these episodes, especially the fact that we're getting to explore them again because we've
- 2:17both seen these episodes before, and then getting these commentaries gives us an even
- 2:22deeper dive for our own selves and then hopefully for you as listeners. So
- 2:27it's just a real joy. And I think it also reminds me how great
- 2:31Star Wars animation is. I mean, it's just we say it every time
- 2:37we're doing one of these commentaries, but it's so good. It's so good.
- 2:39I mean, it's better than any other animation that's out there these days.
- 2:44If if I have something to say about it, it's better than a
- 2:46lot of live action shows that I watch as well. So you know,
- 2:51let's lay that out there. Star Wars animation never disappoints. And you know
- 2:55what else does not disappoint is when you the listen decides to give a rating
- 3:00and review for this show on Apple Podcasts, or reaches out to us on
- 3:06social media at the Jedi Masters on Twitter, the network is at joy Nerd
- 3:10Party, and of course you can go to the Nerd Party on Facebook and
- 3:14Instagram. We try to have a presence everywhere. Matt's Matt Rushing zero two
- 3:19on your social network of choice. I'm Kessel Junkie and your social network of
- 3:23choice. But most importantly, we're all here to watch the Bad Batch episode
- 3:28ten of the first season common Ground, And you know the drill. If
- 3:32you're listening to a commentary and you don't know the drill by this point,
- 3:36I'd be surprised, but I'll go through it with you. I'm gonna say
- 3:38three two one play. When I say the word play is when you hit
- 3:44the play button on your Disney Plus subscription. We're starting from a black screen,
- 3:49very beginning before the Disney Plus logo even launches, so I'm going to
- 3:52count us down. Remember it's three two one play, okay, so stay
- 3:54with me here, three two one play, and we're off to the races,
- 4:05which of course reminds me of Season two, the Riot races, but
- 4:08we'll get to that in enough time, enough time. And I really got
- 4:16to say that, Yeah, I agree with you. Obviously. This rewatch
- 4:19is really strong. It's really good. It's it's a reminder of how good
- 4:24Star Wars is, something you can just revisit. And I think that as
- 4:30the you know, as the title card comes up here and we get our
- 4:33you know, our Marshal drumbeat and common ground, it always puts me off
- 4:40edge when we actually have a more peaceful opening shot like that, that serene
- 4:46shot of the palace and everything, I'm like, okay, it's never good.
- 4:49When we start off calm like this. It means that something big is
- 4:54coming and I like that. I love this too. Is to get to
- 5:08see what it looks like for the Empire to take over the Confederacy systems.
- 5:14I think this is just so great that they are giving us that opportunity,
- 5:18because you know, when you think about it, absorbing the Republic is kind
- 5:25of easy for Palpatine to be able to do, but then to absorb these
- 5:30confederacy systems like this is much more difficult because these people already didn't like the
- 5:38Republic, right they didn't They didn't like the control of the Republic had.
- 5:42What are they going to think about exactly? But another thing I want to
- 5:45throw out there is again to give tribute to the lighting and the animation and
- 5:49everything like that is the you know, the Senators Droid GS eight. The
- 5:56reflectiveness on there is so beautiful, and what I love about it is the
- 6:00fact that it looks so good that I find myself unconsciously looking for the camera
- 6:05crew reflection that sometimes they can't get rid of. And then it's at that
- 6:10point that I realize, oh right, no camera crew. So like a
- 6:14what a testament to how good that that lighting effect is well. And it's
- 6:19great too because you know, in speaking of the Confederacy, where he on
- 6:24Raxus, which is the seat of the Confederacy systems, which wears where their
- 6:29senate was. We've seen Raxus before, you know, in the Clone Wars.
- 6:33So I love being able to come back here and giving this the opportunity
- 6:38to see how the Empire begins to put its foot on the throat. So
- 6:43the Confederacy, I I love the little nod it's time to go. They
- 6:53don't gun them down in front of the crowd at first, it's just grabbing
- 6:57him. It's you know, it's a it's a specific step. And then
- 7:03moving out into the crowd. You know, we have every right to be
- 7:06here. You're the ones trespassing, and you got you gotta wonder as these
- 7:13tanks come in. We've seen this play in human history so frequently, and
- 7:19it's depressing because we know it will play again, and we know that there's
- 7:26there's almost no sense of stopping it, that there's this inevitability to what we're
- 7:30witnessing, just in this animated series. M Yeah, we see this happen
- 7:38so many times. This might sound like so strange, but I've been reading
- 7:43this biography of George Washington and it just reminds me of what the British tried
- 7:48to do here in the United States, right, They tried to come in
- 7:55and assert their authority over these colonies and way that led to rebellion. And
- 8:03you know, I think it's that's the beauty of Star Wars, right,
- 8:07is that George was always pulling from all of these different experiences in history that
- 8:16made us think of those things. It's what also made it think us think
- 8:20of it as being so real in some ways too. And you're absolutely right.
- 8:26But I want to say, as they're walking here, you know,
- 8:28how's the mantel mixed kid? I again, I think I've probably said this
- 8:33before. Why is this not for sale? When I like go to Disney
- 8:35Springs or something like that, Please put this in a pain Oh oh,
- 8:39it has to be. I don't care if it's even as disappointing. Is
- 8:41just like colored popcorn. That's fine about what it actually looks like. Is
- 8:46it looks like the the caramel chocolate, white chocolate drizzled popcorn. Yes it
- 8:54does. Yeah, that's what it looks like. It does. Just sell
- 8:56that. You know what I would settle for. I would settle for a
- 9:00riff on crunchberries, because crunchberries are fantastic. Captain crunch I'm sorry, not
- 9:05captain Captain Crunch horrifically cuts up the roof of your mouth. But crunchberries,
- 9:11crunchberries are awesome. That's why I look when they have the boxes of all
- 9:13crunchberries. So there you go. We've already brainstormed at Disney. You're welcome,
- 9:18and it's a tie into the Bad Batch. Come on, Well,
- 9:22I think what's really interesting here is that obviously these clones don't want to help
- 9:28a separatist, right, but this is one of their first missions that really
- 9:33kind of places them in the place of aiding people who are going to be
- 9:39part of the rebellion, And we're starting that journey for them, which is
- 9:46going to be something that carries all the way into the second season. Right
- 9:52is Okay, what do we do with the time that we've been given?
- 9:56Like, what do we do with our talents? How do we utilize those?
- 10:01And I think this is so interesting. Yeah yeah, Bandana. I
- 10:07love that we have the the insults creeping in, you know, with with
- 10:11with everything. Yeah yeah, Bandana, Like it's um. Sid is definitely
- 10:18the type of character that I'm going to grow to love and would like a
- 10:20figure of a song as we're putting ideas out there into the ether and it's
- 10:26uh, the directive stay with Sid and don't leave this parlor very much reminds
- 10:33me of Qui Gon saying to Anakin, get in that cockpit and stay there,
- 10:41stay there. It's like be careful with how radical adherence to your directive
- 10:48can go, you know. Well, And what I do like about this
- 10:52is that I love that Omega is clearly part of the squad, but that
- 11:00there are missions like this that are going to be so radically dangerous. You
- 11:05don't bring a kid to, especially one as young as Omega here is in
- 11:11this season. Right in season two, she's gotten a little bit older,
- 11:15and this is a mission that's just not for children in any way, shape
- 11:20or form. And we're following off the fact that what happened to her,
- 11:26right, yeah, she had been abducted, So we're really being consistent here,
- 11:33I think, with Hunter being very overprotective of her right now, after
- 11:39what we've just been through in the last two episodes. I love this sequence
- 11:45as they're approaching Raxas and they get escorted by the you know, they get
- 11:50intercepted by the v Wings. It's such beautiful work with them flying through the
- 11:56clouds that first establishing shot and then flying over the mists of oh these trees
- 12:03that look beautifully fall like, which is a season I don't get anymore.
- 12:07And yeah, man, this this actually makes me miss miss seasonal changes,
- 12:15which are not a part of my life at this stage. Oh, I
- 12:18remember those days growing up in Texas. But look at the lighting as they
- 12:22walk off the ship, and just the dustiness and the orange glow. It's
- 12:28so What I also love is that this droid is the same droid that,
- 12:33of course we saw in A New Hope, Right, It's the same type
- 12:35of droid that's in the Jaws Crawl and in Java's torture chamber, and in
- 12:41the Ugnots in the n smelting plant. Yeah, it's just great. I
- 12:50love the groans and the just just all the little tells that you know,
- 13:00as these things go on, you get to know them a little bit better,
- 13:03and their interactions with everything, and Sid being fed up with Omega's moping.
- 13:09It's so easy to forget Omega's a kid. She's ten years old.
- 13:13For all of her specialness, for all of that stuff, She's a kid.
- 13:18Kid's mope. Kids get grumpy, kids get needy, and it's it
- 13:24just underlines how none of the people around her are equipped for that. They're
- 13:28not used to this idea. Although Sid, Sid sounded like me a second
- 13:37ago, like Baberry, you know, I get stopped howding and do something
- 13:41about it. Oh and I think. You know that's that's the beauty of
- 13:46this episode two is that we know we create this opportunity to teach Omega something
- 13:54um, but also just kind of showing think a little bit. Is that
- 13:58you know, you know, Sid not necessarily the best with kids. Yea,
- 14:05I told Dark and Broody I'd keep an eye on you and keep you
- 14:07safe. See again, is that another zing bandana, dark and Broody,
- 14:13never by the name, just by the the zinger. And I love that
- 14:16and I love honestly the fact again because we talk about the mass production universe,
- 14:24is that that seat, that bench that Omega's on looks so much you
- 14:28know, basically like the falcons to Jered table couch. I love to hear
- 14:35that. The the whole design of Raxis has this like that looks like Renaissance,
- 14:46you know, um medieval like and yet galactic universe feel to it.
- 14:56It's just it's such a great design. I love I love this place.
- 15:01It's so cool. Yeah it is. It is cool. Along with Wreckers
- 15:03line we ain't we ain't allies, tin Bin, just the the innate hatred
- 15:11of droids makes so much sense. And you know, also what a what
- 15:18a a fascinating thing that they're going against. They're brothers. These are people
- 15:26that not so long ago, we're literally they just all called each other brother
- 15:33yep. And it just underlines that it's still a civil war. But it's
- 15:39it's interesting how the players have changed m hm. And that you know,
- 15:46the droid coming out and duping the Clone troopers, you know, to chase
- 15:52him around the corner. That is classic Original Trilogy humor right there. You
- 15:58know that that's that's up there within the original movie. Hey hey down there,
- 16:03can you give us a hand there's a handout, you know, yeah,
- 16:11yeah, yeah, I just I'm I'm constantly like I'm just looking at
- 16:15the design work for this place, like the plant work and the intricacy of
- 16:21having ivy growing on the side of the building, and like there's just so
- 16:26much design work that is put into this, which is, you know,
- 16:30when you think of animation, you think it's just easy, right, but
- 16:32you have to create all this stuff, you know, and especially with three
- 16:37D models that they're using, and so like this just takes so much time
- 16:41to make sure that it looks lived in, which is you know, Star
- 16:45Wars is a lived in universe, and so you don't just have buildings without
- 16:51ivy growing on them, because that doesn't look like it's been there for hundreds
- 16:55and hundreds of years. And there's also the added feature that this is an
- 17:00alien planet, but it looks like a planet. It looks like what we
- 17:06understand a biome to be. That's very important for the audience to buy into
- 17:11it. It's just like how the soundscape has to be believable to us.
- 17:15The visual language has to be familiar in some way to us. If it
- 17:21varies too much, were our eye is just going to reject it. I
- 17:26also love that Hunter wanted Omega to do something and he has to be reminded
- 17:30Omega's not on this mission with us. Oh right. And I love that
- 17:38the droid moves to save the priceless antique that's falling as they're as they're trying
- 17:48to get in. Reminds me of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Yes,
- 17:53yes, it's actually I do love this. This whole storyline is that
- 18:04we're gonna have Omega be very good at the jerk Like. I just think
- 18:10that that's fantastic because it lets us know something about her character, which is
- 18:15that she is an incredibly tactical mind, which is something that we continue to
- 18:21grow, you know, throughout the rest of this season and into the next
- 18:23one, which is so fun. I do think it would be so interesting.
- 18:30It would have been so interesting to wind up with. I mean,
- 18:37anything's possible in the future. There's fan fiction, there's future episodes, there's
- 18:41any even number of things. Every time I see Omega interacting in an environment
- 18:47like this, demonstrating these skills, I want to like, there's in my
- 18:52head, I'm like, what would it be like for her to encounter Boba.
- 18:59It would be fascinating, wouldn't it. Yeah. Can I just say,
- 19:03though, John, that I really want you to, you know,
- 19:07go as the Hammerhead in that blue onesie. I think that needs to be
- 19:14your Halloween costume. I think that people would want it, just because when
- 19:18I when I go on for too long, they need a translator to make
- 19:22sense of what I'm trying to say. So, you know, that's what
- 19:26people would really want. Man, this guy looks like he has a great
- 19:33seller. Yes he does. It's sad that it's going to the Empire because
- 19:37they won't really enjoy it. But what I like is this has shades of
- 19:45Belloc and Marion, and when to shows up. Yeah, I'm gonna be
- 19:51nice to you. We're just gonna share a drink. We're just gonna have
- 19:53some We're just having a conversation. Here the Imperial Droid behind him, who's
- 20:00about to torture him to death? You know, So you know, forgive
- 20:04me for this, But have you ever seen the Robot Chicken doctor ball where
- 20:10they make fun of the floating draw. Yeah, that's actually a really good
- 20:15skit, yea. They Robot Chicken has a ton of great Star Wars boof
- 20:23nothing better bar cereal with real seafood beds. Your taste buds can't repel flavor
- 20:30of this bagnato jack. Although my favorite will probably always be the Emperor riding
- 20:36the escalator on the Death Star. Yes, the guy at the bottom who's
- 20:44cleaning up all the people keep falling. And then we finally get to see
- 20:48tanks in action again in Star Wars, but in city combat that I'm not
- 20:57gonna lie. This is the sort of thing that is dream come true territory
- 21:02for me. The first time I saw one of these tanks on screen,
- 21:07my reaction was, that is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 21:11I've loved these things. And I love the Clone Wars episode when Mace
- 21:15Wind do that is, like, I mean, talk about an incredible design
- 21:23that triggers that. Like this sequence right here that we're getting into right now
- 21:29is essentially the type of thing I'd write in my head when I was playing
- 21:32with toys, And if I had had a toy like this as a kid,
- 21:37this is what would have happened with it. I would have built a
- 21:40little Lego city and that thing would have clomped around in that joint. And
- 21:44I think the coolest thing about these tanks too, is is what the Clone
- 21:48Wars did with them, which is, you know the movie, it showed
- 21:52us what these things were capable of when we climbed up the wall at Tech,
- 21:57you know, just so awesome. And the other tank chasing this becomes
- 22:03like that most horrific video game experience that we've all had, where like you
- 22:10climb in the in the thing and you're like, yeah, I'm gonna kick
- 22:12Oh no, oh no, they have one too, no no no,
- 22:15no no no no, Like it's and they're better at using it than I
- 22:19am. It goes all the way back for an old geezer like me to
- 22:23uh, you know that old tank battle game on a Tari, which was
- 22:26all just wire frame. Oh that game was so annoying. That was so
- 22:33freaking annoying. You know, we mentioned this before, But I also love
- 22:38how they are stunning people. You know, they're not killing them. They're
- 22:42not here to kill these troy They're not here to kill these Clones, and
- 22:47so I think that's awesome. But I mean, I think what's also great
- 22:52about this battle sequence. We're again reinforcing that Clone ninety nine, Cloneenforce one
- 23:00nine is completely different than the rest of the Clones, right, I mean,
- 23:04they're just completely a cut above. I love that Wrecker is basically energized
- 23:10by all of this, you know, oh yeah, you know, he's
- 23:14like the kool Aid Man of of Clones, and it's a you know,
- 23:19they're pinned down. But like even the camera movements here again we praise this
- 23:25all the time. I know where everybody is right now. If you paused
- 23:27it right now, I could sit there and I could draw out for you
- 23:30where everybody is. And even on top of that, just the peril that
- 23:37everybody's in. Do I think the bad Batch is all going to get killed?
- 23:41No, but I believe that they could get captured and the fact that
- 23:48the show can keep me on edge about what the fate of the main characters
- 23:51are that keeps me invested in a battle like this. Well, and I
- 23:56mean to your point, we don't know what happens to the bad batch characters,
- 24:03and so that is one of the things that does help with the tension.
- 24:10Like you said, do I think they're gonna die? Know what?
- 24:12Could they be injured? Because you know, like there's a lot that could
- 24:17still happen with these characters because we don't know their fate. Look at that,
- 24:19and so it's just great. The beautiful overhead shot showing all the tanks
- 24:26chasing each other and then the tank like, oh, just coming to an
- 24:30end and seeing that it's that hydraulic exhausted that like that that that that you
- 24:36know, the gears you know, um, you know, venting is so
- 24:41perfect and the hey put a hole right here that I could do. But
- 24:48also the brilliance of using the tank to hide what they're doing is it really
- 24:56is brilliant. Yeah, And that they have to sit there or that they
- 25:00get the continual point you have to trust me, and then they can seal
- 25:06their escape, you know, such as it is yeah, you know,
- 25:11I think one of the things that this show does constantly, and we've talked
- 25:18about this so many times, is the way in which, you know,
- 25:22Star Wars animation shows how you can tell complete stories within twenty five minutes,
- 25:30and oh yeah, I think that's what is so incredible, because it can
- 25:36tell these type of stories where you feel satisfied after twenty something minutes is just
- 25:42incredible. And that message to live to fight another day and seeing that this
- 25:55senator has the same moral dilemma that pad May did, my fate will be
- 26:02the same as my people. I refuse to leave. Like you know,
- 26:07it's hard to believe in a noble leader nowadays, but these are the type
- 26:11you know, this is the type of person where you look at them and
- 26:14they're like, yeah, that's that's the leader I want. I want somebody
- 26:17that reluctantly leaves this situation. They're not thinking of themselves. And did you
- 26:22see that that little rat across the wire, that's a that's straight from solo.
- 26:30Yep. I love that. I love that they return and they have
- 26:37this revelation again. You know what we talked about, the Belloc and Marion
- 26:44and Tote thing. This is like a family friendly version of Marion in the
- 26:49Drinking Game. Yep, but it's Dejeric and it's Omega. Yes, no,
- 26:56one hundred percent. That's a great way to put it, the family
- 27:02friendly version, you know, because she's not plastered as a ten year old.
- 27:07I would I think they're I think there are, you know, moral
- 27:14standards against that, even in the Star Wars Galaxy. Yes, but you
- 27:19know what, and this is another tell you know, records the fun dad.
- 27:26He's the one that picks her up, like in the moments of like
- 27:29celebration and stuff like that. They're all different versions of dad for her,
- 27:34but Reckers the fun celebration dad. I also love this too, is that
- 27:41what Omega just did put them out of debt yep. Like they no longer
- 27:49are in debt to SID now because of what she was able to do.
- 27:53And so I love that this is a way for her to be able to
- 27:57show how she is useful to the batch and it's a it's a great lesson,
- 28:06you know, because I'm sure too this is the struggle of every parent
- 28:11right to have your kid grow up and realize that they can do things.
- 28:17And that's just not an easy thing for any dad. Right, Well,
- 28:22I'm sitting down to play the video game. Reminds me of when Homer on
- 28:26The Simpsons decided to get really good at a video game because Bart beat him
- 28:33so easily, and he said, you know, most kids The short version
- 28:38is is he you know, he's like most kids wait their entire life to
- 28:41find out that they're better than their parents and everything he's got. Bart found
- 28:45that out by the time he was ten, so like it was very important
- 28:48to him to beat Bart at this video game. Very relatable. By the
- 28:52way, kids are smarter than you think. Man, they will. They
- 28:56will always surprise you, yep, will, especially if they pay attention to
- 29:00you. Well, you know, that's if they're paying attention. But I
- 29:07just this is I think this is a great episode. It moves forward the
- 29:11characters again. We're setting the batch up to be in a place where they're
- 29:18actually being part of the rebellion in some ways, but they don't even realize
- 29:23it. And I think we're also showing them that, you know, Omega
- 29:30is not just something that they're taking care of. It's not just somebody that
- 29:34they're responsible for, but is somebody that is actually a benefit to them as
- 29:40well, because she has her own innate talents that they're all just beginning to
- 29:45realize what they are. And you know, I think this is one of
- 29:48those episodes where you're you're clearly able to have a lot of great character development
- 29:53through the story. And that's something that I think whether an episode is quote
- 30:00unquote feels like filler or anything like, one of the things that the bad
- 30:06Batch I think does a great job of is always giving us little character hints
- 30:10and movements that makes the episode worthwhile. Yep, listen, not everything needs
- 30:18I go back. I always go back to my favorite, one of my
- 30:21favorite, one of my favorite shows from the nineteen nineties, The X Files.
- 30:26Not every single episode had to do with the big mythology, but every
- 30:29episode had to do with the characters. And so I learned a little bit
- 30:33more about Moulder and Scully or Cancer Man or any of the other character is
- 30:38the lone Gunmen whatever by the interactions that they had. And so there is
- 30:44no real throwaway episode. There are episodes where it doesn't have to do with
- 30:48advancing the big mythological thing. It has to do with advancing the characters.
- 30:53But even in that context, like you were talking about at the beginning,
- 30:59it has to do. It was showing how the empire comes in. It
- 31:02comes in like the vampire, and how does it handle separatist systems who were
- 31:07who already thought the Republic was too controlling. Well, now it's an empire.
- 31:12For Pete's sake, how do you bring them to heal? Now it's
- 31:15even worse. But Master Rushing, if people want to talk to you about
- 31:21the finer parts of tank battle strategies, where can they find you online?
- 31:26Well, you can find me all over social media under the name Matt Rushing
- 31:30zero two best places to do that on Twitter, Instagram, Letterbox, Vero.
- 31:37You can also find me here on the network. I had a completed
- 31:38show with Drea Kaufman as we talked about Harry Potter each and every week,
- 31:44one chapter at a time. You can also find me over on the TFM
- 31:48network doing a bunch of shows. One is called The six O two Club,
- 31:52which is a general geek show where we get to talk about all of
- 31:56those fans we love because there's just so many out there. John Mills is
- 31:59a frequent guests there. We also do a couple of bonus shows there called
- 32:02Snyder Cuts, as well as Assembling Avengers that you'll find in the same feed
- 32:07also doing literary treks about the books and the comics of Star Trek or five
- 32:10about Star Trek Enterprise, the Orb about Star Trek, d Space nine,
- 32:15Saddle Up about Star Trek, Strange New Worlds, and the Artificial Tango about
- 32:19Star Trek Piccard which is about to come back because season three, the final
- 32:22season, is about to come out, so you want to check all of
- 32:27that out. But John, where can people find you? Well, if
- 32:31they make the bad mistake of connecting with me online, it'll be through the
- 32:35account name Castle Junkie on their social network of choice. So instead of the
- 32:38Bad Batch, it's the bad bet. Oh, yes, very much,
- 32:42So you can find me. I'd say Letterbox is the most fun. I'm
- 32:47a little cheeky on Twitter and stuff like that, but you know Letterbox that
- 32:51you can find out what I'm watching at least try to offer some pithy reviews
- 32:54there. But you can also find me, speaking of reviews, on the
- 33:00show here on the network called house Lights, where we look at the work
- 33:05of directors and I co host that with Darren Moser and Tristan Riddell. We
- 33:09have a lot of fun. We look at directors through different lenses and phases
- 33:14of their careers and stuff like that. I mean, movie podcasts are what
- 33:16seventy five of what's out there are on the podcast universe something like that.
- 33:23So you know, I think ours is a little bit of fun, so
- 33:27go ahead and check that out. But other than that, you know,
- 33:29in all honesty, I got to find out how to how to turn crunch
- 33:35berries into a bad batch marketable treat here, so I got to make a
- 33:38couple of calls Master Rushing. So I think it's time to close these negotiations,
- 33:45John, negotiations are closed. Join the Revolution, Join the Nerd Party.
