- 1:44Speaker 1: another book and another author? Oh, I know y'all heard that.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I apologize. Were having a little technical difficulty, but we're
- 1:54Speaker 1: gonna make it. Do what to do, sir? Gargoyers? Yeah, yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: females and gargles. That's where we are. And you know,
- 2:11Speaker 1: your girl, I don't know nothing about that gargoles world,
- 2:16Speaker 1: but she had me in that world because her copa.
- 2:18Speaker 1: She said, you don't see the little gargles. I didn't
- 2:21Speaker 1: see the gargles. I thought the was just you know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: she was sitting in a nice fancy chair. But they
- 2:25Speaker 1: were gargoles. So we're gonna have to talk to them.
- 2:29Speaker 1: As Barry Brown about this. Let me get a correct
- 2:32Speaker 1: Verry T. Brown about this. Vera, come on up, girl,
- 2:37Speaker 1: come on up, Come on up, come on up and
- 2:40Speaker 1: see we gotta talk about this. How are you. I'm
- 2:46Speaker 1: doing good. I'm doing good.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I'm excited to be here.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Because yes, me too, because we wanna talk about this stuff. Okay, okay, Well,
- 2:58Speaker 1: before we go any further, please tell us a little
- 3:01Speaker 1: bit about very teeth Brown.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Well, let's see.
- 3:06Speaker 1: So I'm from the South, uh, proud of proud of it.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I I'm a Navy veteran. I'm a mom, I'm a wife,
- 3:18Speaker 1: a whole bunch of other sorts of hats that I
- 3:21Speaker 1: have that you know, get in the change every second
- 3:25Speaker 1: of the day. But at the end of the day,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm at the end of the day.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I'm a reader. First. I love to read.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And just so happens one day, I, you know, out
- 3:39Speaker 1: of the blue, I was like, Eh, let's let's I
- 3:42Speaker 1: mean and I've I've always written short stories. And I
- 3:45Speaker 1: mean when I say short stories, I mean like flash fiction,
- 3:47Speaker 1: like a few hundred words. And I was like, you
- 3:49Speaker 1: know what, let's see we a flesh this, Let's see
- 3:52Speaker 1: we can publish and we'll we'll take off something on
- 3:54Speaker 1: my bucket list, So let's go there. And I love
- 4:02Speaker 1: the fact that you said that you're a reader. How
- 4:07Speaker 1: important is it for authors to be readers? Oh? I
- 4:12Speaker 1: think it shows up in the writing. I mean even though,
- 4:19Speaker 1: like I have no formal training and I'm not going
- 4:24Speaker 1: to say that my book is good. Hopefully everyone thinks
- 4:26Speaker 1: my book is good. I'm not going to just out there,
- 4:29Speaker 1: come out there and claim it. But I'm not formally trained.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I have never taken a creative writing class in my life.
- 4:37Speaker 1: But you kind of pick up things as you read.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I may not have a name for certain devices that
- 4:44Speaker 1: I use in my writing, but I know how to
- 4:48Speaker 1: use them.
- 4:49Speaker 2: If that makes sense.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It does make sense. And the reason why I ask
- 4:53Speaker 1: that question because there's a lot of authors who are
- 4:56Speaker 1: not readers, and I always want to ask, well, how
- 4:59Speaker 1: do you keep up to date? What's going on? How
- 5:02Speaker 1: do you keep up the date on the trends? So
- 5:06Speaker 1: how do you keep like, how are how That's like
- 5:10Speaker 1: a chef not eating and tasting in school. I will say,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm not. My plan is not to keep up with
- 5:18Speaker 1: trends with my writing. I'm just going to write what
- 5:20Speaker 1: comes to my head, what I what I see behind
- 5:24Speaker 1: my eyes when I close them, You guys get to
- 5:25Speaker 1: see my little internal movies, but you get to see
- 5:28Speaker 1: them on paper, in word from in word form.
- 5:32Speaker 2: And hopefully y'all like it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So I'm not I'm not writing the trends and I
- 5:36Speaker 1: don't read trends either.
- 5:38Speaker 2: I read what I want to read.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And because there's some stuff out there that's really trend in,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'm just like, eh, I'm not. Really, that's not my jam,
- 5:51Speaker 1: and that's how you end up. But that's how people
- 5:54Speaker 1: end up with DNFs. If you're if you're not, if
- 5:56Speaker 1: you don't know what you like to read, that's how
- 5:59Speaker 1: you end up with the nfs, by forcing yourself to
- 6:01Speaker 1: read the things that you don't like to read.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So that's true.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I have them, and that's true. And I love the
- 6:08Speaker 1: fact that you are true to yourself and you steady
- 6:10Speaker 1: your lane. And then I love the fact that people
- 6:12Speaker 1: who like to dip their fingers and stuff because you
- 6:14Speaker 1: didn't know that you would be good at this until
- 6:17Speaker 1: you try it. Look, I just young lady. Her book
- 6:23Speaker 1: is titled is Raven and it's about pirates. Who would
- 6:26Speaker 1: have known that I would like a book about pirates
- 6:28Speaker 1: and it is not my usual jam, but I was like,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna give it a try. Yes, you know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: that's one of the things about where I work. I
- 6:37Speaker 1: always have the opportunity to give it a chance. But
- 6:41Speaker 1: there was just one drama of one genre I'm tired of,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and I'm sorry to you people who I'm not saying
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm not going to read it. Uh oh, I can't
- 6:56Speaker 1: hear you all the lovey Dove romance mm hmm, that's
- 7:01Speaker 1: just oh my god. Love w romance is good too.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I see my girls there in the comments. Well that
- 7:11Speaker 1: the two that are there that have commented so far,
- 7:13Speaker 1: they're not lovely w Romance. They're like somebody, somebody.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Got to go.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And I actually have seen and heard of their books,
- 7:24Speaker 1: Katrina Williams and Off the Sea Winter. I have heard
- 7:27Speaker 1: of their books. So thank you guys for joining us,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and I've seen your titles, and I think I think
- 7:37Speaker 1: both y'all might have a book in my library system.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I think you've done an interview with Katrina already. And
- 7:47Speaker 1: and then see Winter, Oh my gosh, that that lady.
- 7:50Speaker 2: He paying this fire, she's always dropping fire.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Uh. You know, if you have never thought that I
- 8:00Speaker 1: would like Christian fiction. See, she definitely put me on
- 8:04Speaker 1: Christian fiction with godly connections. And then Katrina, when I
- 8:11Speaker 1: tell you this woman is a writing bast, she is
- 8:15Speaker 1: at writing beast. Like she'll say, hey, I got an
- 8:18Speaker 1: idea for such and such and such, and then before
- 8:20Speaker 1: I close the business, she's like, all right, it's my book.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You ask me what I'm talking about, Miss minchin me.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You need the chit chat because I have a lot
- 8:33Speaker 1: of people coming to me and asking for Christian fiction.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I put up a post I want to say about
- 8:38Speaker 1: a week ago and people were wanting Christian fiction. I'm like,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know what, that genre has been muted for a
- 8:46Speaker 1: good minute. So me and You're gonna have to chit
- 8:49Speaker 1: chat so I can get some of your books and
- 8:52Speaker 1: put the feelings out there. So went to we going
- 8:56Speaker 1: chit chat. Mm hmmm. So now we do have a
- 9:01Speaker 1: love a girl in the group. Her name is Shannie Denise.
- 9:04Speaker 1: She's currently on vacation, so I'm not sure she'll get
- 9:07Speaker 1: a chance to tune in. But that's our love a girl.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's how a girl that does the lovey dove. But
- 9:11Speaker 1: she does lovey dove in the Detroit way. So you're
- 9:17Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna get a little hood in there, in
- 9:19Speaker 1: a little pros like, hey, me and you will talk
- 9:27Speaker 1: to Mishane. We're gonna talk. That's my type of love
- 9:31Speaker 1: him to kill him dead, That's what I'm talking. But
- 9:34Speaker 1: then we can do some other things. Okay, she treat
- 9:38Speaker 1: you're being in off. Okay, so African Americans and gargles. Mhmm.
- 9:48Speaker 1: We haven't been in that world for a while, you know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: that is what me. You want to go to that world?
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna say. I'm gonna give all credit to Melody Lynch.
- 10:01Speaker 1: She put out a challenge. She put out a challenge
- 10:03Speaker 1: to the authors that are in her group. And we
- 10:07Speaker 1: got some banging paranormal authors in that group there. You know,
- 10:10Speaker 1: there's Tessa, there's Melody Lynch, Marcilla Black, Steve. Oh, and
- 10:17Speaker 1: I know I'm missing people. Oh gosh, I'm trying to
- 10:20Speaker 1: think of her author name. I know her her handle
- 10:23Speaker 1: on TikTok, but I can't think of her author name.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Her last name is Bass. I can't think of her
- 10:29Speaker 1: author name at the moment. But these ladies, So Melody
- 10:33Speaker 1: Lynch put out a put out a challenge. She was like, hey,
- 10:36Speaker 1: let's do some monster series. Like everyone like, get your
- 10:41Speaker 1: get your juices flowing. We're gonna do some monster challenges.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And I haven't done the rest of the Molesey challenges,
- 10:47Speaker 1: but with that one, I was like, Gargoyles, I got it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I was already playing in the mafia type. It was
- 10:53Speaker 1: put the gargoyles in there. Yo. I love the fact
- 11:02Speaker 1: that you have that creative circle. That is beautiful. How
- 11:08Speaker 1: has that been such a blessing to you in your writing?
- 11:13Speaker 1: Have that creative circle?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So we got the ladies. Uh see Winter Katrina Williams. Oh,
- 11:23Speaker 1: and I see Angel in the comments, Angel the author.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I have people to bounce ideas off of. I have
- 11:29Speaker 1: people to be like, hey, am I Trevor. I'd be like,
- 11:32Speaker 1: hey girl, I'm struggling. I need somebody to body double
- 11:35Speaker 1: with me. Hey, you want to go live for a
- 11:37Speaker 1: little bit and we're just gonna We're just gonna write.
- 11:40Speaker 1: And then you got Melody Lynch, Testa Stone, El Madaris.
- 11:43Speaker 1: They're always dropping author gems in their groups. So, uh,
- 11:49Speaker 1: Melody Lynch, she likes to focus on like Amazon marketing,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and then Tessa she's always given writing advice. El she is,
- 12:00Speaker 1: she is, she's she gets like emotional like I wouldn't
- 12:03Speaker 1: say emotional support, but she's there to like, you know,
- 12:06Speaker 1: cheer people on. Let me think, uh so that's one circle.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And then you got my girls at there the other circle.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And then you got an angel the author and her
- 12:16Speaker 1: people there my other circle. I got lots of circle,
- 12:18Speaker 1: and then you got I'm My first My og circle
- 12:23Speaker 1: was Catera Rune and Ari B.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Cox.
- 12:25Speaker 1: They have not published yet, but it's coming this year
- 12:29Speaker 1: and I'm so I'm so excited for their their books that.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Are coming out.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Those that was my ogi, my first circle. I just
- 12:36Speaker 1: happened to message and be like, hey, I saw you
- 12:38Speaker 1: said you were trying to write a book. You want
- 12:41Speaker 1: to you want to be uh, I want to be
- 12:43Speaker 1: writing Buddies Penn Sisters. And they said, that is mad crazy.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I love every single part of it, and as a reader,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I am here for every single part of it. Yes,
- 13:02Speaker 1: just to have that backing. And sometimes I tell independent authors,
- 13:08Speaker 1: she's come to me and it's like, look, I don't
- 13:10Speaker 1: have the backen of anybody.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Said.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Sometimes you got to create your circle. Yep, don't make
- 13:15Speaker 1: your circle. Don't be afraid. Oh and then these ladies
- 13:19Speaker 1: they put me on to. Uh, you have some you
- 13:23Speaker 1: have specs and book creps, specs and book wrecks. Those ladies,
- 13:29Speaker 1: Uh not from books and blands. Uh. They put me
- 13:33Speaker 1: on to so many people. And oh and then Paige
- 13:36Speaker 1: and Monete. She also does my covers as well as
- 13:38Speaker 1: as well as pinteresty money. Yeah, you just have to
- 13:44Speaker 1: put yourself out. Don't be scared. I mean, because what's
- 13:48Speaker 1: the worst is gonna happen? They say no, what's the
- 13:52Speaker 1: worst that can happen? They say no, Okay, next, but
- 13:55Speaker 1: that heaven, that circle, I see that. That is beautiful.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And then when your circle shoes up for you. Hi,
- 14:03Speaker 1: all you ladies. I would love to interview all you ladies.
- 14:08Speaker 1: If we don't do it live, we can do it
- 14:10Speaker 1: pre recording. I love the energy that you guys have.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Now let's go to these god calls. Is it shinty shiny.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Shanty?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah? Why she gotta be so mean, man, She's not
- 14:32Speaker 1: mean me. So I was speaking to some other ladies.
- 14:38Speaker 1: They were like, shot them, you lose them. I was like,
- 14:42Speaker 1: she can't. She gotta she gotta wear a crowd. She
- 14:45Speaker 1: can't loose it up. But that that also puts us
- 14:48Speaker 1: in and said, was it that strong, strong black woman
- 14:51Speaker 1: troupe or the superwoman truck or the superwoman stereotype. But
- 14:58Speaker 1: but she out here running, She's run in a whole territory,
- 15:03Speaker 1: so you know she she can't let them see a fold.
- 15:08Speaker 1: You know you got me not bad trees, because you
- 15:12Speaker 1: are correct. Why can an African American and she is
- 15:17Speaker 1: African American? Please send me a character is African American?
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think I have any any any
- 15:23Speaker 1: characters in the book that aren't. Okay, I should have
- 15:29Speaker 1: not done that. I should have should have thought about it,
- 15:32Speaker 1: because you know how they how they would say an
- 15:37Speaker 1: African American woman cannot be she can't be gentle, but
- 15:42Speaker 1: she always has to be strong. And the fact that
- 15:44Speaker 1: I threw off on him, but she she's strong, but
- 15:47Speaker 1: she is very like I am woman. Hear me roar
- 15:52Speaker 1: is the vibe that I was getting from her? Am
- 15:54Speaker 1: I correct? Yes? Okay, okay, So m I want to
- 16:02Speaker 1: ask you this question because that how to and this
- 16:06Speaker 1: is going to be like that's the silliest question in America.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I don't hear a lot of shanty c H E
- 16:11Speaker 1: E T I I do look into the little things
- 16:14Speaker 1: like that. Was there a reason why you spelled her
- 16:18Speaker 1: name like that, or was there a reason why you
- 16:20Speaker 1: gave her that name or that's just a nan that
- 16:22Speaker 1: came up to you. So her full name is Chantale,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and so I was like, yeah, she's Chantale when she
- 16:31Speaker 1: got the crown on, But what did her sister's call her?
- 16:34Speaker 1: And so that's how I came up with Shanty, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: Chantelle just came to me because I was like, that sounds
- 16:40Speaker 1: like this sounds regal to me, Chantale, this sounds regal.
- 16:44Speaker 1: That sounds you know, what's the word I'm looking for.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I leave it at regal. It sounds regal. So I
- 16:54Speaker 1: was like, let's go with Chantale. And then her sisters
- 16:57Speaker 1: need to have a nickname for her. So actually all
- 17:01Speaker 1: of them have nicknames, because there's like a moment in
- 17:04Speaker 1: a book where Shanti calls Trenise Nissi, and then Lorraine
- 17:11Speaker 1: doesn't really have a nickname amongst the sisters, but her
- 17:15Speaker 1: love interest calls her Laurie. So how how important sisterhood
- 17:23Speaker 1: in this book?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Oh? Is everything?
- 17:26Speaker 1: And I'm an only child, so this is what I imagine
- 17:29Speaker 1: sisterhood is.
- 17:31Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 1: This this is all about their bond and how they
- 17:35Speaker 1: work together. Okay, So in your synopsis, you didn't say
- 17:46Speaker 1: anything about the brothers. No, I did not.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I did not.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Why they were there along the way. So what is
- 18:04Speaker 1: the mentum? Oh my god, Sorry, I have to catch
- 18:11Speaker 1: myself for a second. But you know what. The character,
- 18:16Speaker 1: the male character that I gravitated towards most was Eli,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and I actually had I had a chapter of history
- 18:25Speaker 1: written before I even started boss, so I had I
- 18:30Speaker 1: put him in here. But everyone's been gravitating towards Kayelle.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So if now I'm gonna lead that question, no, I'm
- 18:41Speaker 1: an accident. If you had to choose one of them,
- 18:44Speaker 1: mm hmmm, who would you choose and why? Mm? To
- 18:51Speaker 1: be honest with you, I'd have to go with Kyl.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but I.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Mean Eli, Like look, okay, if you saw the character
- 19:05Speaker 1: Eli type, however comma personality and how it carries himself,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I will go with I would go with well okay, okay.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So I know earlier we talked about from Good Tarra.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Without the d.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Oh wow. So I need you to think of your
- 19:38Speaker 1: three favorite female characters.
- 19:41Speaker 2: In the book.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Just three? Oh, I mean I got up here all right,
- 19:49Speaker 1: the three characters you see on the cover. I know,
- 19:54Speaker 1: like I'm gonna add other people, but yes, time called.
- 20:00Speaker 1: They say, okay, you know what we like. We love
- 20:03Speaker 1: this book. Okay, and we need a girl group to
- 20:07Speaker 1: represent the sisters in this book. And know, by the way,
- 20:12Speaker 1: these are your fun questions. I told you they were coming.
- 20:17Speaker 1: What female group would recognen would represent these sisters? And
- 20:24Speaker 1: why did you choose that group?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Hm hmmm mm hmmmmm. Oh, I'm gonna have to go with.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I don't know who I would go TLC okay, why
- 20:44Speaker 1: L so I could I could definitely see tis as Ashanti.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I see, I see Trainese is left eye. You know.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I don't know that that last one now that's see
- 21:02Speaker 1: I don't know he is. All right, let me let
- 21:08Speaker 1: me go back to the drawing board. So maybe not
- 21:10Speaker 1: to LC. Because I was thinking I was leaving. I
- 21:14Speaker 1: was like, what about total? No, not total? What about escape?
- 21:20Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, I guess we could go escape. Yeah
- 21:23Speaker 1: it was okay Tiny? Oh my gosh, uh where am
- 21:34Speaker 1: I Candy? And what was the one that left?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Was that Tasha?
- 21:43Speaker 1: I think that was Tasha?
- 21:44Speaker 2: Tasha?
- 21:45Speaker 1: No, yeah, that was Tasha. Well Winter says, Destiny's Child. Okay,
- 21:54Speaker 1: you know, and I can see that too. I can
- 21:56Speaker 1: see that too. All right, So we got ok so,
- 22:00Speaker 1: which one you want to go with? Destiny Child or
- 22:04Speaker 1: let's go Asney Child? All right, Desney Child's at the table,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and they say, you know what we're gonna do this.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Somebody else said that's w V.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I considered that's WV, and I was like, oh, I
- 22:17Speaker 2: don't know.
- 22:20Speaker 1: They were a little too put together.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I know they were.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Oh god, they were everybody oh cut clothes a right,
- 22:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was him. Now you're about to make
- 22:43Speaker 1: me go back and lit's to all the girl groups tonight.

- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm thinking they don't mm hmm child y'all sad?
- 24:43Speaker 1: It's just about breaking uphing. That is the most aggressive

- 24:58Speaker 1: some sad woman. Oh they didn't have independent.
- 25:06Speaker 2: That. I was like, no, that's too cheesy.

- 25:12Speaker 2: That was commercial song.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, they really were a pop group. They really
- 25:21Speaker 1: wasn't R and B soul. I'm just realizing that, you

- 25:32Speaker 1: keep up? Baby boy? I met my brother, you know,
- 25:37Speaker 1: I thought that was the most corneous That makes sense
- 25:43Speaker 1: to me.

- 26:09Speaker 1: love it. We got yall three, we have the song.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But you know what, we want somebody else to cool
- 26:18Speaker 1: author with you. Who would you give that honor the
- 26:22Speaker 1: cole author with you? But it has to be the
- 26:28Speaker 1: person that you admire the most, and when your book
- 26:34Speaker 1: comes out, they are the first person you're like, look
- 26:38Speaker 1: it's out. They are the biggest person on your cheerleading squad.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And if you cannot choose one person, I will give
- 26:49Speaker 1: you five. Who would it be? Oh gosh, but I
- 26:55Speaker 1: got I got a huge circle. Oh well then it's
- 26:58Speaker 1: run all down. Oh gosh. Okay, well let's stop that.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Let's change your question. Okay, all right, all right, it
- 27:10Speaker 1: is premiere night. M h you want all of your
- 27:15Speaker 1: a one, all of your support staff, everybody who has
- 27:19Speaker 1: had your back there? Okay, who all would come? And
- 27:24Speaker 1: what color are they required to wear? Hm? Hmmm, well hmmm,
- 27:32Speaker 1: oh so everybody gets their own color or everybody wearing
- 27:35Speaker 1: a sad color. You know what that would be unique,
- 27:42Speaker 1: But which one would you like to do? The color
- 27:46Speaker 1: would represent you if you choose one color, or the
- 27:51Speaker 1: color would represent them in their personalities. This is the
- 27:55Speaker 1: first time I ever done this question, ye'all. This question
- 27:57Speaker 1: is like off the top of my head. Okay, okay,
- 28:00Speaker 1: so h one that represented me, because that's gonna be
- 28:07Speaker 1: hard enough colors in my in my vocabulary. All right,
- 28:13Speaker 1: you have your red coffee, Go ahead and call everybody up.
- 28:16Speaker 1: They can get you take it. So we're gonna be
- 28:19Speaker 1: a purple. That's my favorite color. We'll go with purple.
- 28:24Speaker 1: So I can only choose five or you said you
- 28:29Speaker 1: could choose your circle. So, in other words, who would
- 28:32Speaker 1: you like to say thank you to room? Alright? Bey Cox,
- 28:37Speaker 1: see Winter, Katrina Williams, A, Denise Paige and Monnette Uh
- 28:46Speaker 1: Starlight if you have not read a Starlight book? Yes,
- 28:55Speaker 1: she is hilarious, y'all would cut up.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I already know it.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Let me see whoever is. I'm gonna just catch the replace.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Go ahead, and we got uh who else?
- 29:17Speaker 2: Who else? Who else? Who else? Who else? Angel the author?
- 29:20Speaker 1: Duh?
- 29:21Speaker 2: No brainer?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Uh? You know. And then there are people that hold
- 29:28Speaker 1: like in the stratosphere, like Tesla Stone.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Melody Lynn j El Madaris A A.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Lewis. Uh uh, you got the space and book great
- 29:37Speaker 1: scales you got, you got mad from books and blends
- 29:40Speaker 1: and you know all of them, all of all of them,
- 29:44Speaker 1: all the people's If you could say anything to your readers,
- 29:53Speaker 1: your new readers, the readers who you're gonna team after
- 29:57Speaker 1: the show, if you can say anything to them, what
- 30:00Speaker 1: would you say? This is just the beginning. She's just
- 30:07Speaker 1: whole mic drop. Five words. Yes, I did count the
- 30:13Speaker 1: words you got.
- 30:14Speaker 2: This is just the beginning.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Five words. She did a whole mic drop. Caught me
- 30:20Speaker 1: off guard because most people go she said, this is
- 30:23Speaker 1: just the beginning, like YO, know me, get to know me,
- 30:28Speaker 1: been know me, follow me.
- 30:30Speaker 2: You're a go girl.
- 30:32Speaker 1: You go hold on? Okay, Lifetime came back. Oh I
- 30:41Speaker 1: gotta aswer that question. Okay, Lifetime said they love your book.
- 30:47Speaker 1: The movie went well, all y'all pictures look good at
- 30:50Speaker 1: the red carpet. But now they want to do a
- 30:55Speaker 1: book a movie about you. Oh you being an author? Okay,
- 31:02Speaker 1: who would you give the honor of playing you in
- 31:07Speaker 1: your biopic? And why? That's a good question. Can you'll
- 31:16Speaker 1: help me out? I don't know jesus, Dana Owens. Dana Owens,
- 31:30Speaker 1: who's Nana Owens queen? Okay, because that's something like boy
- 31:37Speaker 1: need something though, Okay, I was just looking at the
- 31:39Speaker 1: Equalizer of the day. Do y'all know they got a
- 31:42Speaker 1: whole roogle channel on the equalizer? It's crazy. I was
- 31:48Speaker 1: watching it. So why the queen herself?
- 31:56Speaker 2: I've always loved Latifa.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Anytime I saw her, I saw, okay, already shut up,
- 32:02Speaker 1: it's her part. Be quiet. So and then I actually so,
- 32:12Speaker 1: like I said, I was, I was. I was a
- 32:14Speaker 1: Navy veteran, and I am a Navy veteran. My first ship,
- 32:20Speaker 1: towards the end of my tour, I had a uh
- 32:23Speaker 1: An l d O. I forgot what position he was,
- 32:27Speaker 1: but he was one of the few black officers that
- 32:30Speaker 1: we had, especially in the in the technology feel And
- 32:35Speaker 1: one day we were on watch and he was like,
- 32:37Speaker 1: come in, Dana Owens, and I just busted out laughing.
- 32:42Speaker 1: But if not Dana Owens, if not Queen Latifa, then
- 32:48Speaker 1: lady and rage. Oh stuff from what she is right
- 33:01Speaker 1: now she did. She just did a biopic for Miss
- 33:04Speaker 1: Cleo calling me now something, I'm sorry, I'm sorry you
- 33:18Speaker 1: telling me. You're telling me there's a biopic for Miss Cleo.
- 33:26Speaker 1: There is, there is now, I don't know if it's
- 33:30Speaker 1: been released. I remember seeing the airline that it was
- 33:34Speaker 1: getting done and she was playing Miss Cleo, and I
- 33:36Speaker 1: was like, I'm watching it several times for holloween just
- 33:46Speaker 1: called me. Now the one the psyching that used to
- 33:49Speaker 1: be on at night They literally did a bio pic.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Who had money to spend? I would you not watch it? Watch?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Because I just want to know why one of those
- 34:05Speaker 1: it's one of those movies like you see the train,
- 34:08Speaker 1: you see the train on the track, you know it's
- 34:09Speaker 1: gonna hit, but you just can't stop. It just seems
- 34:13Speaker 1: like it's gonna be one of the a bio pic
- 34:17Speaker 1: from somebody said, bear with the accent. That's the only
- 34:30Speaker 1: thing I can do with an Island accent. Is about it?
- 34:35Speaker 1: Somebody said they seemed that much clear. Oh my goodness.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna be up here trying to find it tonight. Okay,
- 34:44Speaker 1: anybody audience, y'all know where it is? Like? Is it
- 34:47Speaker 1: on Lifetime? Oh? She said it was a trip. I
- 34:50Speaker 1: think is it on Lifetime? Well, I don't have BT
- 34:56Speaker 1: plus Well I don't think nobody has it now. I
- 34:59Speaker 1: think it's all paramount. Now, Okay, I'm back to community tief.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I have to admit there's not been a movie of
- 35:13Speaker 1: hers that I have not enjoyed. I have enjoyed almost
- 35:17Speaker 1: every single movie she's done. I wish they would do
- 35:21Speaker 1: a Girl's Trip too, but I don't know which angle
- 35:25Speaker 1: they would come from, because I think they kind of
- 35:29Speaker 1: still every I even like Taxi was it was it?
- 35:33Speaker 1: I think it was just Taxi. It's Taxi that was hilarious.
- 35:37Speaker 1: But he kept on saying that this is the Tasty
- 35:40Speaker 1: and he was that was hilarious. I love that movie.
