- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. One of the many side stories when it
- 0:08Speaker 1: comes to Jeffrey Epstein are the lawsuits that have been
- 0:12Speaker 1: filed against Jeffrey Epstein's associates. And one of the people
- 0:16Speaker 1: that has been hit with a pretty massive lawsuit is
- 0:19Speaker 1: none other than Les Wexner. And now there are two
- 0:24Speaker 1: groups of Epstein's survivors that are suing Wexner and his foundation,
- 0:28Speaker 1: and the federal judge has determined that both of those
- 0:31Speaker 1: cases can be folded into one because the claims are
- 0:36Speaker 1: so similar, and in my experience, that could spell a
- 0:39Speaker 1: lot of trouble for Les Wexner and the foundation. So
- 0:43Speaker 1: today we have an article from WTRF dot com and
- 0:47Speaker 1: the headline Epstein's revivor lawsuits against Les Wexner combined into
- 0:52Speaker 1: one case. This article was authored by Katie Millard. Two
- 0:57Speaker 1: lawsuits brought by survivors the convicted sex of Jeffrey Epstein
- 1:01Speaker 1: have been consolidated, with courts determining their allegations against Ohio's
- 1:05Speaker 1: richest man are similar enough to combine legal action. Two
- 1:10Speaker 1: groups of Epstein's survivors sued Les Wexner and the Wexner
- 1:12Speaker 1: Foundation this year, alleging Wexter enabled and provided resources for
- 1:17Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's abuse. The lawsuits, brought about in late March
- 1:21Speaker 1: and late June both claimed that Wexner and the Wexner
- 1:24Speaker 1: Foundation provided Epstein with the resources needed to commit his crimes. Well, yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: he did, Okay, point blank period, when we're talking about
- 1:35Speaker 1: Les Wexner, there was nobody that was as critical to
- 1:39Speaker 1: the rise of Jeffrey Epstein. Nobody. This is the man
- 1:43Speaker 1: that opened all the doors. This is the man that
- 1:46Speaker 1: gave Jeffrey Epstein that veneer of respectability. And if you
- 1:51Speaker 1: believe Virginia, which I do, he also took part in
- 1:54Speaker 1: the abuse. Wexner had a well documented business relationship and
- 2:00Speaker 1: apparent friendship with Epstein from the eighties until two thousand
- 2:03Speaker 1: and seven, when Wexner said he cut ties. Although his
- 2:07Speaker 1: close ties to Epstein have been the subject of FBI
- 2:10Speaker 1: and congressional probes, Wexner has long denied any involvement or
- 2:14Speaker 1: knowledge of Epstein's crimes and has never been charged in connection.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Oh well, in that case, I guess we should just
- 2:20Speaker 1: move on, right. Nobody's ever been charged, so I guess
- 2:22Speaker 1: they didn't have anything to do with it, or maybe
- 2:24Speaker 1: they just didn't bother doing any investigation at all. Considering
- 2:28Speaker 1: they never talked to people like Wes Wexner or any
- 2:31Speaker 1: of the core for or anybody else involved, how can
- 2:34Speaker 1: you tell me it was a real investigation. On July
- 2:36Speaker 1: twenty third, a federal judge determined the two cases were
- 2:39Speaker 1: related and combine them in the New York Southern District Court.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Both cases accused Wexner, the Wexner Foundation, and ninety seventy
- 2:47Speaker 1: first Street Corporation, an entity established by Wexner to purchase
- 2:51Speaker 1: the New York mansion at the corporation's namesake address. And
- 2:55Speaker 1: I think these allegations against Wexner have legs. Now, does
- 2:59Speaker 1: that mean it's gonna progress to a point where people
- 3:01Speaker 1: are held accountable or where less Wexner is considered, you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: a co conspirator. Probably not. And look, I don't say
- 3:09Speaker 1: that because I want to cast a black cloud. I'm
- 3:11Speaker 1: just giving you my honest assessment. I don't want to
- 3:14Speaker 1: lead people along and have them thinking, oh, yeah, this
- 3:17Speaker 1: is going to end well, because in my experience, it's
- 3:21Speaker 1: not going to end well unless there's always that caveat right,
- 3:24Speaker 1: unless we force the issue, because make no mistake, folks,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you hold all the power. You everybody out there listening you,
- 3:35Speaker 1: and how you vote, who you choose to support, it
- 3:39Speaker 1: all matters. It all matters. And if we want to
- 3:42Speaker 1: hold people accountable, then we have to elect people that
- 3:45Speaker 1: are going to hold people in power accountable. And what
- 3:48Speaker 1: I mean by that is hold them to the same
- 3:50Speaker 1: standard that you and I are held to. That's all
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm asking. I'm not asking for a special standard for
- 3:56Speaker 1: people of means where they get looked at in a
- 4:00Speaker 1: much harsher fashion. That's certainly not what I'm calling for.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm calling for some fairness in the system. And when
- 4:08Speaker 1: people like les Wexner are accused of serious issues like this,
- 4:11Speaker 1: it should not be swept under the rug. People shouldn't
- 4:15Speaker 1: be ignored, people shouldn't be you know, told to go away.
- 4:20Speaker 1: If somebody has these kinds of allegations and they have
- 4:23Speaker 1: evidence backing it up, at least enough evidence that passes
- 4:27Speaker 1: the threshold of probable cause, then that should be investigated.
- 4:31Speaker 1: The big problem is a lot of this stuff wasn't
- 4:36Speaker 1: without Leslie Wexner's money, without his property, and without the
- 4:39Speaker 1: power and prestige that came from his association with one
- 4:42Speaker 1: of the wealthiest men in America, Jeffrey Epstein, would have
- 4:45Speaker 1: never been able to operate a sex trafficking network. Court
- 4:48Speaker 1: documents allege that's true too, And that's why I said
- 4:51Speaker 1: it should have been RICO. If this was a Rico case,
- 4:54Speaker 1: and forget it, all these financial crimes, all this bullshit
- 4:57Speaker 1: would be wrapped up into it. And the reason they
- 5:01Speaker 1: didn't go Rico is because they didn't want to do that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: They didn't want all these other people involved folks. Both
- 5:08Speaker 1: lawsuits point to Wexner's past ownership of the New York mansion,
- 5:12Speaker 1: where Epstein was found to have sexually abused dozens of
- 5:15Speaker 1: underage girls. Epstein's survivors in the lawsuits said they were
- 5:20Speaker 1: assaulted by Epstein at the mansion from two thousand to
- 5:23Speaker 1: twenty sixteen, sixteen years. Nobody knew anything, nobody saw anything,
- 5:28Speaker 1: nobody had any idea. The New York mansion was purchased
- 5:31Speaker 1: by Epstein for twenty million in nineteen ninety eight, according
- 5:34Speaker 1: to property and financial records. In a court of filing,
- 5:37Speaker 1: Wexner's attorneys said Wexner also sold ninety to seventy first
- 5:42Speaker 1: Street corporation to a company owned by Epstein and nineteen
- 5:45Speaker 1: ninety eight, also detailed in business records. Ah, yeah, you know,
- 5:50Speaker 1: no connection these two guys. I was just a victim
- 5:53Speaker 1: of Epstein's too, is what Wexner told us. And keep
- 5:56Speaker 1: in mind, all those Republicans that talked all that shit
- 6:00Speaker 1: could even be bothered to go and sit down with
- 6:02Speaker 1: Les Wexner. Imagine that, how dare you? How dare you
- 6:07Speaker 1: one of the most crucial pieces of the whole puzzle
- 6:09Speaker 1: and you have no desire to speak to him? But sure,
- 6:11Speaker 1: let's talk to Ted wait some more, and look, I
- 6:14Speaker 1: apologize for making you guys suffer through that Ted Weight deposition.
- 6:18Speaker 1: We're not learning much, but it's important that we get
- 6:21Speaker 1: it into the catalog, right, important that we get it documented.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But they all showed up to that. How come they
- 6:27Speaker 1: couldn't show up and talk to less Wexner. I'm sure
- 6:30Speaker 1: it has nothing to do with the way his donations go, right,
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm sure it has nothing to do with who he funds.
- 6:38Speaker 1: The lawsuit also accuses Wexner and the Wexner Foundation of
- 6:42Speaker 1: giving Epstein the money that facilitated Epstein's abuse. The House
- 6:45Speaker 1: Oversight Committee estimated Epstein obtained two hundred million from Wexner's
- 6:49Speaker 1: finances in the more than fifteen years they worked together.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Epstein was a trustee of the Wexner Foundation, a charity
- 6:58Speaker 1: founded by Wexner that works to connect jewe which American
- 7:00Speaker 1: leaders to Israel and professional opportunities, from nineteen ninety two
- 7:05Speaker 1: to two thousand and seven. In twenty twenty, the Wexner
- 7:08Speaker 1: Foundation issued an independent review of epstein ties to the foundation.
- 7:13Speaker 1: The review claim there was no evidence that Epstein used
- 7:16Speaker 1: his role in the foundation to commit assaults. No, no,
- 7:19Speaker 1: no evidence whatsoever. He wasn't bringing people in under the
- 7:24Speaker 1: guise of being a modeling scouter or whatever for Victoria's
- 7:28Speaker 1: secret that never happened. It's amazing how they like to
- 7:30Speaker 1: rewrite history, isn't it. The Wexners have tremendous sympathy for
- 7:34Speaker 1: the victims of Jeffrey Epstein's horrendous crimes. The complaint, however,
- 7:38Speaker 1: fails to state any factual basis for asserting a claim
- 7:41Speaker 1: against mister Wexner. A spokesperson for Wexner said the claims
- 7:46Speaker 1: appear to be based upon ownership of a house mister
- 7:49Speaker 1: Wexner sold yours prior to the time of the allegations.
- 7:53Speaker 1: There's no basis for the claims, which will be vigorously defended. Good,
- 7:57Speaker 1: let's get to discovery, Let's get to some depositions, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: let's see what's what. Wexner became Ohio's richest man by
- 8:07Speaker 1: running businesses like Victoria's Secret and Amber, Crombie and Fitch.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And his name is familiar to many in central Ohio
- 8:13Speaker 1: through the Wexner Medical Center or Wexner Center for the Arts.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Oh well, that means he couldn't be involved in anything
- 8:19Speaker 1: on towards right, donated a lot of money, built some buildings,
- 8:23Speaker 1: put his name on some hospitals. Hell of a guy
- 8:25Speaker 1: that les Wexner. Now combined, the case includes thirteen survivors
- 8:30Speaker 1: of Epstein's abuse. On Tuesday, Wexner's attorneys asked for the
- 8:34Speaker 1: case to be dismissed. Both parties are scheduled for a
- 8:37Speaker 1: telephone conference on August sixth. So, look, this is one
- 8:41Speaker 1: of those lawsuits that's going to make its way through
- 8:44Speaker 1: the court. Right. I don't see less Wexner trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: come to some agreement here. I mean he might, but
- 8:51Speaker 1: I think that would be devastating for him. I think
- 8:54Speaker 1: he's gonna have to fight this, and if he does
- 8:57Speaker 1: fight it, that could be devastating as well, because remember
- 9:01Speaker 1: it was Laine Maxwell and the deposition with Virginia that
- 9:05Speaker 1: led to her downfall. And that's why you see a
- 9:07Speaker 1: lot of people that are in that situation, in that
- 9:09Speaker 1: position plead the fifth. I mean, look at doctor Fauci
- 9:12Speaker 1: the other day, bro might as well have been in
- 9:14Speaker 1: the mafia for as little as you wanted to say.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And when you're gonna incriminate yourself, when you're gonna find
- 9:20Speaker 1: yourself in a bad position, any lawyer worth his weight
- 9:24Speaker 1: in salt is going to tell you to plead the fifth.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So does Wexner want to get to a point where
- 9:28Speaker 1: he has to be deposed? I highly doubt it. I
- 9:31Speaker 1: highly doubt it. Now here's the thing to keep in
- 9:34Speaker 1: mind less. Wexner is definitely going to have the best
- 9:38Speaker 1: lawyers in the world, and those lawyers are going to
- 9:40Speaker 1: do everything in their power to make this go away.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And if they do come to some agreement and there's
- 9:46Speaker 1: some settlement paid out, you better believe there's going to
- 9:49Speaker 1: be language in it that softens la blow. Oh well,
- 9:53Speaker 1: we're gonna pay this money out, but you know how
- 9:55Speaker 1: it goes. Nobody ever accepts responsibility, but sure, let me
- 9:58Speaker 1: pay you a fat bag. And then they have the
- 10:01Speaker 1: audacity to be like, well, we were never convicted of anything, bitch,
- 10:05Speaker 1: You paid fifteen million dollars, twenty million dollars whatever to
- 10:08Speaker 1: make it go away. If you have that kind of
- 10:10Speaker 1: money to pay somebody off, you have that kind of
- 10:13Speaker 1: money to have a lawyer fight the charges. And if
- 10:16Speaker 1: you're innocent and these kinds of charges are brought against you,
- 10:19Speaker 1: my guess is me you're going to try and fight them.
- 10:22Speaker 1: So we'll see what's what, and we'll see if this
- 10:25Speaker 1: turns into something more. But as of right now, things
- 10:27Speaker 1: have progressed passed the initial stages. Both of these lawsuits
- 10:31Speaker 1: have been combined and rolled into one, and the train
- 10:34Speaker 1: has left the station and the only question now is
- 10:37Speaker 1: what time is it going to arrive. All the information
- 10:42Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
- 10:45Speaker 1: description box.
