- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My
- 0:17Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett. On this Tuesday, June thirtieth, last
- 0:22Speaker 2: day of June. Hard to believe. This month just flies by.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Every month flies by anymore? Is every day I get older.
- 0:29Speaker 2: But if you want to give a call five two
- 0:31Speaker 2: three four fourteen fifty, If you want to text us
- 0:34Speaker 2: on the Whiskey Thief text line five O two four
- 0:36Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty, tweet me at Just the Cat radios.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I've got Matthew Childress, what day two of counting down?
- 0:46Speaker 2: I mean, we just two more days in, well, two
- 0:49Speaker 2: more days with me and then uh Friday, year out
- 0:52Speaker 2: of here. And I know I keep saying it, but
- 0:54Speaker 2: I just I'm I'm bummed about this. I mean, I
- 0:58Speaker 2: just wish you could figure a way to let's just
- 1:00Speaker 2: have you on remotely the rest and you get paid
- 1:02Speaker 2: somehow that way.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Look, if that was a possibility, I'd be here for it.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I know you would, and I appreciate that. But as
- 1:10Speaker 2: you're headed down to Tampa, Florida, which I listen, that's
- 1:15Speaker 2: you're gonna fall in love with Tampa, I think, and
- 1:18Speaker 2: you're gonna be like, why have I never lived here before? Legitimately?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Are you excited? I'm really excited. Are you okay? Good?
- 1:28Speaker 1: Like I said, we took that trip like two weeks
- 1:30Speaker 1: ago down there, spent like four or five days there
- 1:32Speaker 1: and visited Tampa, you know, went around downtown Lakeland, went
- 1:36Speaker 1: a bunch of local restaurants and stuff around there, and
- 1:39Speaker 1: looked at apartments and houses and stuff, and it was
- 1:41Speaker 1: a really cool area. I really liked. It's really nice.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It kind of reminds me of maybe not as busy
- 1:47Speaker 1: as like a Saint Matthew's is, but I guess it's
- 1:50Speaker 1: kind of similar like a metropolitan kind of area where
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's kind of booming. There's a lot of people, but
- 1:54Speaker 1: there's stuff to do, And yeah, I'm excited. I think
- 1:58Speaker 1: what I'm most excited is that gonna be pretty I'm
- 2:01Speaker 1: like dead smack in between Tampa and Orlando, and there's
- 2:04Speaker 1: just you know, if I want to go do something
- 2:07Speaker 1: one weekend, I can. There's a bunch of sporting events
- 2:09Speaker 1: to go to, his festivals and stuff. So we're gonna
- 2:12Speaker 1: like we're going down there for her work. But we
- 2:13Speaker 1: both agreed that you know, if we're gonna make the
- 2:15Speaker 1: huge move like this. She could have gotten a job
- 2:17Speaker 1: here where she could have found something, maybe for a
- 2:19Speaker 1: little bit less money or something. But if we're gonna
- 2:21Speaker 1: go down there, we're gonna try and do everything we
- 2:23Speaker 1: can before maybe we move again.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So well, you're gonna get to know Sheriff Grady down there.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think his name is Sheriff Grady Judd. I believe
- 2:32Speaker 2: that's what his name is. He's got to be the
- 2:35Speaker 2: most famous sheriff in the country because he doesn't tolerate
- 2:40Speaker 2: people breaking laws in his county. Just to let you know,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't know. I couldn't even can you name the
- 2:48Speaker 2: sheriff in Jefferson County.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I couldn't name you a sheriff in any county see exactly.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But this guy, he has got to be the most
- 2:56Speaker 2: famous him and probably the sheriff I think. The other
- 3:00Speaker 2: that's really popular is the one up in Many I
- 3:03Speaker 2: believe it's Minneapolis or somewhere in the Midwest. There's another phase.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's it's a guy that's on the news all the
- 3:11Speaker 2: time being interviewed. And I like that guy too. I mean,
- 3:14Speaker 2: he very outspoken. But as far as sheriffs, I don't
- 3:19Speaker 2: even think I could name the the what do you
- 3:23Speaker 2: call the police commissioner here in Louisville?
- 3:26Speaker 1: I don't even know who it is. I can't name
- 3:28Speaker 1: you like any can you not political? Right? You can
- 3:31Speaker 1: name the governor? Right? Yes? Can you name the mayor
- 3:34Speaker 1: of Louisville Greenberg? Yes? Can you name the mayor of
- 3:39Speaker 1: anywhere else in Kentucky? No? I can't. I don't think so. Yeah. Right,
- 3:46Speaker 1: do you know our senators? Is that still Mitch McConnell. Yes,
- 3:50Speaker 1: And then didn't was it? Did Charles Booker? Just get well?
- 3:55Speaker 2: No, no, you're right about that. But no, I but
- 3:58Speaker 2: he's not elected as a senator.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't know what he was. I just know
- 4:01Speaker 1: what he he was an election he won recently exactly.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So there.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So there's Mitch McConnell, and then the other guy from
- 4:08Speaker 2: Bowling Green, the eye doctor. I can't think of his name,
- 4:11Speaker 2: But I can't name any congressman in Kentucky. I just
- 4:16Speaker 2: it's not that I don't care. It's just like I
- 4:19Speaker 2: guess maybe I don't care. I don't care, you don't. Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 2: And that's really kind of sad, isn't it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think it'd be more important people. If it was
- 4:29Speaker 1: similar to like the presidency where the terms were shorter,
- 4:32Speaker 1: you know, you're there was a little bit more turnover,
- 4:34Speaker 1: so you had to really focus on who you're bringing in. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I mean, Mitch McConnell has been in there for what
- 4:39Speaker 1: my entire life? He's been in there almost my entire life.
- 4:42Speaker 1: How do you like that? So it's just like, what's
- 4:44Speaker 1: what's the point of really getting to know if he's
- 4:46Speaker 1: been there for fifty.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Think about it this way, Mitch McConnell, are you ready
- 4:51Speaker 2: for this? And you tell me if this blows your mind.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Mitch McConnell has been a Senator since I was in
- 4:56Speaker 2: high school. That's not good. You're making me feel old,
- 5:03Speaker 2: aren't you.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That should make Mitch McConnell feel old, because that's not good.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Can you name you can name the President of the
- 5:08Speaker 1: United States? Donald Trump? All right?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Can you name the Vice President of the United States?
- 5:14Speaker 1: I don't remember actually.
- 5:15Speaker 2: JD Van j Yeah. Can you name any other politician
- 5:20Speaker 2: out there that's famous? I really Nancy Pelosi? Oh boy, yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 2: you're exactly very good right there. Why I'm curious why
- 5:29Speaker 2: you remember her? Because do you know who she is?
- 5:33Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know a lot about her. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: just know her from like people making fun of her.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, she's a congresswoman from California, used to be
- 5:40Speaker 2: Speaker of the House. I couldn't even well, yeah, I
- 5:42Speaker 2: can see the guy's face. I can't think of what
- 5:44Speaker 2: his name is as far as the Speaker of the
- 5:45Speaker 2: House today.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'm curious because I know I'm a bit of an
- 5:50Speaker 2: anomaly as far as I just don't care about politics.
- 5:54Speaker 2: But are you kind of the same way, are you
- 5:57Speaker 2: kind of uh where are or is it pretty much
- 6:01Speaker 2: in your age bracket where they just don't care about politics?
- 6:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I look, that's might get I might get some
- 6:10Speaker 1: hate for this. I genuinely think it's pointless. Like I
- 6:13Speaker 1: think that it it. I don't think it does anything
- 6:16Speaker 1: for any of us. I think that we constantly elect
- 6:19Speaker 1: people over and over and over again that just lie
- 6:22Speaker 1: about what they want to do, go into office, do
- 6:24Speaker 1: one third of the things that they promise to do
- 6:26Speaker 1: for people. And I get that you can't do everything.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I get that not everything is possible. These they're just
- 6:32Speaker 1: ideas they want to bring. But I don't know. For
- 6:36Speaker 1: most of my life and for the entirety of my
- 6:39Speaker 1: voting life, there has not been a single person that
- 6:44Speaker 1: I've genuinely thought when I was older, like I said,
- 6:47Speaker 1: old enough to vote, that I was like, this person
- 6:49Speaker 1: deserves to be in the spot. So I just don't care,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Like I just genuinely don't care. But do you think
- 6:55Speaker 1: you'll get to an age where you will care? Maybe
- 6:58Speaker 1: if it gets better? I know, I.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Maybe it's just me because I just I'm like you,
- 7:06Speaker 2: I just didn't My interest isn't there. I do care
- 7:10Speaker 2: about some politics because I know it's gonna affect me
- 7:13Speaker 2: someway or another, especially taxes, But I don't know. I mean,
- 7:18Speaker 2: you said nothing is possible. Don't ask Kevin Garnet that
- 7:20Speaker 2: remember him yelling that famously after winning the NBA Championship
- 7:24Speaker 2: with the Celtics. Yeah, and Kevin Gardner, anything's possible. It's like, okay, Yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 2: I just feel we're in a state where no matter
- 7:35Speaker 2: what side you're on, it's a negative. Yeah, because everybody
- 7:39Speaker 2: everybody hates each other.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah, It's it's not really about you know, you standing
- 7:45Speaker 1: on this side, or you standing on this side, or
- 7:48Speaker 1: you liking this idea. It's not about that it's just
- 7:49Speaker 1: about hating each other all the time.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Now, Well, because don't get on Facebook, by the way,
- 7:54Speaker 2: because that's all it is. It's just it's I hate
- 7:56Speaker 2: this side. I hate this side. It's like, okay, well,
- 8:00Speaker 2: all you're doing is hurting the people that you have
- 8:03Speaker 2: your friends with on Facebook. You're not affecting the people
- 8:06Speaker 2: that you're actually hating trying to hate on Yeah, that's
- 8:10Speaker 2: what I don't understand. Like I'll have a relative that
- 8:13Speaker 2: will start just bashing a person and I'm like, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 2: or or or bash a good friend, bashing a team
- 8:20Speaker 2: that I love. I said, you know, the only person
- 8:22Speaker 2: you're hurting right now is your friend right here, So
- 8:25Speaker 2: why do it?
- 8:26Speaker 1: You're hurting me.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You're not hurting that team, that coach, or that politician.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You're only hurting me. That's the part I don't understand.
- 8:34Speaker 2: So to get on social media, because which which of
- 8:37Speaker 2: the social media outlets do you think is the most
- 8:40Speaker 2: deviceive out there?
- 8:42Speaker 1: Is it?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Facebook? Twitter, Instagram, TikTok? Which do you want? Which one
- 8:47Speaker 2: do you think has all the hatred for everything? I
- 8:54Speaker 2: actually would say it's probably Twitter.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Oh it is Twitter. I think Facebook is It's like
- 9:00Speaker 1: you like you said it's older people being political, So
- 9:03Speaker 1: it's not a lot of like it's like when you
- 9:07Speaker 1: go on Facebook, you see that stuff and you're like,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tune it out because this person is
- 9:10Speaker 1: just dumb, ye know what I mean. Like, it's not
- 9:12Speaker 1: like intelligent argument between two people. It's just like older
- 9:15Speaker 1: people getting angry. See.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I look at Facebook, and I think it's it's more
- 9:19Speaker 2: hatred towards politicians.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yes, I agree with that.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And when you get on Twitter, I think it's hatred
- 9:24Speaker 2: for everybody. It's a lot of faces, politics, you name it,
- 9:28Speaker 2: it's everything.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I think Twitter is a lot of younger people, huh,
- 9:32Speaker 1: like you know, hiding behind some fake Twitter account and
- 9:35Speaker 1: just yelling at each other about things they don't understand.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So and honestly, like, I think it's actually calmed down
- 9:42Speaker 1: a little bit more now. But back when, like obviously
- 9:44Speaker 1: around COVID when all that stuff was gone, oh yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: that was when it was really bad. But I think
- 9:49Speaker 1: Twitter definitely because there's no like, uh, there's no like
- 9:54Speaker 1: what's it called, there's no like sanctioning what you can say.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You can say whatever you want on Twitter now. Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and you know, do you like that I don't care.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm not on the side of Twitter where I see
- 10:05Speaker 1: that stuff a lot. My stuff is just like memes
- 10:07Speaker 1: and sports and video games like so, like when people
- 10:11Speaker 1: come up to me and they're like, did you see
- 10:13Speaker 1: where that huge thing happened in Houston the other day,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm like, are you talking about uh when this video
- 10:19Speaker 1: game just dropped? They're like, obviously not like that. I'm not.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm not. I literally am so oblivious to politics. I
- 10:27Speaker 1: can't even describe it to you, Michael. I don't know
- 10:29Speaker 1: what goes on. I am blissfully ignorant to what is
- 10:32Speaker 1: going on on our planet. And you know what, That's
- 10:34Speaker 1: how I like to live.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah, well, so so do I. Because there was a
- 10:38Speaker 2: time where every night I had a ritual. I would
- 10:40Speaker 2: watch one news station pretty much the entire night, and
- 10:44Speaker 2: everybody can probably guess which one it is, but I'm
- 10:47Speaker 2: not gonna give them a free advertisement. But then it's
- 10:49Speaker 2: just like, why am I doing this? All I do
- 10:51Speaker 2: is get mad, So I stopped. And now there was
- 10:55Speaker 2: a time of detox. I will tell you that. I mean,
- 10:58Speaker 2: it's it's like quitting show.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I had to.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Detox from television for a little bit and be able
- 11:05Speaker 2: to watch something else, and you know what, I feel
- 11:07Speaker 2: like my life is so much better now. Yeah, I'll
- 11:10Speaker 2: never forget. I was talking to my therapist. I'm not
- 11:13Speaker 2: embarrassed by it. I see a therapist, Okay, Michael Bennett
- 11:17Speaker 2: needs that. I know what I need and it helps me.
- 11:20Speaker 2: So I don't think anybody should be embarrassed if they
- 11:24Speaker 2: go see a therapist. There's nothing wrong with it. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm glad you admit that too, Matthew. But and she
- 11:29Speaker 2: was telling me one day her her name is Drew Camp.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I love her dearly. She has done wonders with this
- 11:35Speaker 2: guy right here on the radio. But she was telling
- 11:38Speaker 2: me one day that a lot of her patients right
- 11:40Speaker 2: now are just going crazy, having all kinds of mental
- 11:45Speaker 2: issues because of the fact of what's going on in
- 11:47Speaker 2: the world. And they watch the news. And I'm like, well,
- 11:50Speaker 2: do what I did, tell them not to watch the news,
- 11:53Speaker 2: And it did wonders for me, and.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I've been so happy about that. Now.
- 11:57Speaker 2: The only time I will listen to the news is
- 11:59Speaker 2: usually I listened to local news six o'clock at night,
- 12:02Speaker 2: and that's pretty much.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yet.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I won't watch the national but then I'll listen to
- 12:06Speaker 2: it on the radio two and the radio announcer mentioned
- 12:09Speaker 2: a bridge this morning here locally with the traffic report.
- 12:13Speaker 2: All right, I'm not going to say the name of
- 12:15Speaker 2: the bridge. I want to know if you know the
- 12:17Speaker 2: name of it. It's the one I sixty four that
- 12:21Speaker 2: takes you from New Albany over to downtown Louisville, not
- 12:24Speaker 2: the downtown bridges, not the Kennedy and or not the
- 12:29Speaker 2: two new ones. Do you name it the Do you
- 12:31Speaker 2: know the name of the bridge way out there I
- 12:34Speaker 2: sixty four that takes you to New Albany.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I mean you're not talking about Second Street. It's Sherman
- 12:42Speaker 1: had no idea then you duh. Shoot, I was hoping
- 12:44Speaker 1: you would know no idea. How do you say the
- 12:47Speaker 1: only ones I honestly know by name? Or the Second
- 12:49Speaker 1: Street bridge and the Loosen Clark all.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Right, uh Lewis and Clark is the new one? Yeah,
- 12:52Speaker 2: of course I don't even know the name of that one.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Uh it's the Sherman m I T T E N.
- 12:58Speaker 2: How do you say.
- 12:59Speaker 1: That, Sherman exactly, That's how you say it.
- 13:04Speaker 2: The guy on the radio today, it really irt me,
- 13:07Speaker 2: he said, Sherman Mitten.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Okay, and I'm like, why are you saying it that way?
- 13:13Speaker 1: Is that how you say it if you're local? If
- 13:15Speaker 1: you're local, it's Sherman Mitton. I look, I think genuinely, I've.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Woken you up today. You have learned how to wake
- 13:28Speaker 2: up at eight o'clock in the morning. It's no longer
- 13:30Speaker 2: this nine o'clock stuff.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna my entire life growing up. There's a joke
- 13:34Speaker 1: between people in my generation, okay, is that you know
- 13:37Speaker 1: our parents, you know, because we grew up like we're
- 13:40Speaker 1: the first generation to grow up like with the internet,
- 13:42Speaker 1: like our whole life almost you know what I mean.
- 13:44Speaker 1: When it got really popular, right, our entire thing was,
- 13:49Speaker 1: don't believe what you see on internet. Don't believe what
- 13:51Speaker 1: you see on the on this, don't believe what you
- 13:53Speaker 1: see on that, right because everything can be faked. Yes,
- 13:55Speaker 1: now we've got to the point where you know, things
- 13:57Speaker 1: on the Internet are basically easily fact checked. Like you
- 14:00Speaker 1: it's besides AI, let'st's let's take AI out of them.
- 14:05Speaker 1: It has gotten to the point where the generations that
- 14:08Speaker 1: raised us to my parents, I constantly have to battle
- 14:13Speaker 1: with the fact that my parents and grandparents get tricked
- 14:16Speaker 1: by things like the news. Oh yeah, And it's like, guys,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you literally stressed to me my whole life not to
- 14:23Speaker 1: fall for this crap, and you guys are watching it
- 14:26Speaker 1: on the news and believing it all the time. I
- 14:29Speaker 1: genuinely think, this is my opinion. National local news is
- 14:34Speaker 1: something different. Right, It's like you said, traffic updates like that,
- 14:37Speaker 1: that's that's completely different. National News, Fox, CNN, NBC. You know,
- 14:43Speaker 1: all those is genuinely harmful to your mental health. I
- 14:48Speaker 1: couldn't agree more. They never talk about anything relevant to you.
- 14:51Speaker 1: They only talk about the negatives. Something that like this
- 14:55Speaker 1: is this is completely unbiased. I'm obviously a big soccer fan,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say this a completely unbiased take. Something
- 15:01Speaker 1: that this World Cup and watching this has shown me
- 15:04Speaker 1: is that ninety nine percent of the issues we have
- 15:07Speaker 1: with other cultures and other people is because of our media. Yes,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and it's complete loss, it's complete lies, it's complete garbage.
- 15:15Speaker 1: So like we're seeing these people from all over the
- 15:17Speaker 1: world come to the United States and talk about how
- 15:19Speaker 1: friendly everybody is. Obviously it's sorry I had a cough
- 15:24Speaker 1: that it just stuck up on me. That's okay. Obviously
- 15:26Speaker 1: it's a it's a fun setting, so it's complete. You're
- 15:28Speaker 1: not meeting them like in a truly natural like going
- 15:31Speaker 1: into I understand that stuff. But you're having all these
- 15:35Speaker 1: people mingle together and it's working out beautifully. Everybody's having
- 15:39Speaker 1: a great time and all this to the point where
- 15:41Speaker 1: even other countries are like people in other countries are like, gosh,
- 15:44Speaker 1: our media has talked about how bad America is, and
- 15:47Speaker 1: then American is saying our media is talking about how
- 15:49Speaker 1: bad this country is it And it's just one of
- 15:51Speaker 1: those where like how I just don't understand how whether
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's from the news, whether it's on social media, it's
- 16:00Speaker 1: from whatever, where you're where you're getting your news and
- 16:03Speaker 1: media from, how you can just believe it without ever
- 16:06Speaker 1: thinking second.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Wouldn't it be nice if you had a new channel
- 16:08Speaker 2: that only talked about positive news?
- 16:10Speaker 1: And that's what I would like to see, you think so?
- 16:14Speaker 1: But the thing is is like they can't survive because
- 16:16Speaker 1: they're just like regular television. They need writings and watch
- 16:19Speaker 1: So that's what we need to do.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So we need to take take just the cats and
- 16:22Speaker 2: make it just the cats only talking about UK and
- 16:26Speaker 2: everybody else sucks. I don't like that It's just that's
- 16:30Speaker 2: not my personality. And I don't want to sit here
- 16:34Speaker 2: and just bash everything. I like making fun of them,
- 16:37Speaker 2: but I'm not gonna sit there and bash them. I
- 16:40Speaker 2: don't think that's fun, and I don't think people really
- 16:42Speaker 2: appreciate that.
- 16:43Speaker 1: We straight away from the news itself being about the news,
- 16:48Speaker 1: now it's about ratings, especially when it's on the national level. Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Well, I just saw where I was reading an article
- 16:53Speaker 2: where some of my friends over at iHeart have been
- 16:56Speaker 2: laid off, and I'm like, that's so sad. I'm not
- 16:59Speaker 2: gonna sit here and say, ha ha ha, you lost
- 17:01Speaker 2: your job. It's like, no, I'm not gonna say anything
- 17:03Speaker 2: like that. I feel genuinely bad for these people. Like,
- 17:07Speaker 2: for instance, I have always now granted he still is
- 17:12Speaker 2: a U of L guy, Nick Coffee, always been a
- 17:15Speaker 2: big fan of Nick Coffee. When I worked at iHeart,
- 17:18Speaker 2: Nick Coffee was one of the nicest guys there, and
- 17:21Speaker 2: I was genuinely disturbed and saddened for him that he.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Lost his job. That's like all over the country right now,
- 17:29Speaker 1: it certainly is. I actually reached out to a local
- 17:32Speaker 1: radio station in Lakeland yesterday, Oh did you really, and
- 17:36Speaker 1: they didn't have they had like a career's page and
- 17:38Speaker 1: you just email them like you know. I was like, Hey,
- 17:40Speaker 1: who can I get in contact? This in my resume? Here? Yes, here?
- 17:43Speaker 1: And this guy emailed me within seconds and was like,
- 17:46Speaker 1: we can't hire anybody. We've just laid off like thousands
- 17:48Speaker 1: of people. Wow. And that was iHeart. I assume either connected. iHeart.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And that's been the same response I've gotten to like
- 17:55Speaker 1: up like twenty different stations.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Isn't that sad? I mean, I just I genuinely don't understand.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But I don't know. Radio and technology has changed so much.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I mean, I'm thankful that we still have this here,
- 18:08Speaker 2: but uh, it's just changed so much. I I don't
- 18:11Speaker 2: know if uh what do you blame? Is it podcast?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Is it YouTube? What is it that's making people go
- 18:20Speaker 2: to something else to listen?
- 18:23Speaker 1: You want to really know? My mypinion is like, in
- 18:25Speaker 1: all honesty, yeah, no, I want you to lie to me.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I think that I don't think this like area of
- 18:33Speaker 1: like this field of media is dying at all. Like
- 18:35Speaker 1: I think people you're like radio pot like stuff like that.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Like I think people enjoy listening to personalities rather than
- 18:42Speaker 1: watching them. I think it's more enjoyable. Yeah, because you
- 18:46Speaker 1: can just turn it on the background. You don't have
- 18:47Speaker 1: to pay attention to what's going on that you can
- 18:49Speaker 1: just listen, right, you'll get little tidbits. Yes, I genuinely
- 18:53Speaker 1: believe that it's it's the fact of the Like the
- 18:55Speaker 1: people who are in this field have been in it
- 18:57Speaker 1: so long, it's kind of because out of touch, Like
- 19:01Speaker 1: it's not up to date. And that's why podcasting is
- 19:04Speaker 1: so much bigger because it's so modernized. I feel like
- 19:07Speaker 1: radio just isn't getting modernized as fast as podcasting is. Really, so,
- 19:10Speaker 1: how does radio need to change? I'm curious what you think.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I think that I think it needs. Like I think
- 19:15Speaker 1: that you just need to basically run a radio station
- 19:17Speaker 1: as if you're running it as a podcast, Like I know,
- 19:19Speaker 1: we upload the podcast or whatever. Yeah, that's nothing. We
- 19:21Speaker 1: don't really do anything like we just do on it
- 19:23Speaker 1: live on air stuff we like. Like, I think every
- 19:26Speaker 1: radio station should focus more on doing like off air,
- 19:30Speaker 1: you know, networking and you know, recording and stuff like that. Like,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I think that it just needs me modernized to how
- 19:36Speaker 1: the media is today. And I feel like it comes
- 19:38Speaker 1: down to just a lot of stations across the country.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Are you know, have been the same way for so long?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Interesting they're not catching up?
- 19:45Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, well, hopefully they do catch up, because I
- 19:48Speaker 2: don't want to see radio die.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I mean, I love radio.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It's been a part of my life the last eight
- 19:54Speaker 2: years and I thoroughly enjoyed it certainly has shaped and
- 19:58Speaker 2: saved a portion of my life. And I just I
- 20:01Speaker 2: hope it's here for a while. But anyway, well we
- 20:03Speaker 2: have gotten completely what a way to start a show,
- 20:07Speaker 2: a sports show on top of that and whatever. But uh,
- 20:12Speaker 2: let's go ahead and take our first break. When we
- 20:14Speaker 2: come back.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I want to talk about Milan mam Chilovic. He had
- 20:18Speaker 1: a one.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Of his first media conferences and he talked about how
- 20:24Speaker 2: he committed and was recruited to the UK. I think
- 20:27Speaker 2: this is interesting and this is the wave of the future.
- 20:30Speaker 2: So we'll talk about that soon as we get back.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Nothing like a little little police as we go out
- 20:35Speaker 2: right every breath you take another high school songs. Unbelievable, Matthew,
- 20:40Speaker 2: good job, stay right there. More Just the Cat's coming
- 20:43Speaker 2: right up. That's a band I wish would come back
- 21:18Speaker 2: with another album. There are a few bands out there
- 21:21Speaker 2: I wish would come back and and the Police is
- 21:25Speaker 2: one of them. I've never seen them in concert. I've
- 21:27Speaker 2: always wanted to see them. Is there a band out
- 21:28Speaker 2: there you've not seen in concert that you would really
- 21:31Speaker 2: like to see?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Guns n' Roses? Oh?
- 21:34Speaker 2: Really, guns n' Roses, even though Axel Rose has pretty
- 21:38Speaker 2: much lost his voice, you'd go see him.
- 21:40Speaker 1: That was just like as a kid, like h before that,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I don't know a lot of music. Yeah, I just
- 21:45Speaker 1: kind of listened to our parents listen to right. Guns
- 21:47Speaker 1: and Roses was like my favorite band when I was
- 21:49Speaker 1: really guns n' Roses. Yeah, I have a type of
- 21:52Speaker 1: destructions favorite album. Is it really? Yeah?
- 21:54Speaker 2: Guns and Roses they were. They were pretty good when
- 21:56Speaker 2: they I would love to see Journey with Steve Perry,
- 22:00Speaker 2: the real lead singer. I would love to see them.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Somebody posted a video of a zz Top and they're
- 22:08Speaker 2: claiming that they're no longer because it's only one band
- 22:11Speaker 2: member that's left since the one one of the guys
- 22:15Speaker 2: with the long beards, passed away within the last year,
- 22:17Speaker 2: but saying that he's just lip syncing and not really
- 22:21Speaker 2: putting any effort to it.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Do you think it's fair? Uh?
- 22:25Speaker 2: If you found out, would you go see them if
- 22:28Speaker 2: you found out they were not really singing the songs?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Nope, neither would I. It's like, why do I want
- 22:34Speaker 1: to see you? I want to listen to the recording
- 22:36Speaker 1: in my car. Exactly.
- 22:38Speaker 2: There's no difference here. Ohio got to texted out five
- 22:41Speaker 2: O two four one four fourteen fifty Matt can hang
- 22:44Speaker 2: out with former U of L coach Chris Mack and.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Tampa actually have applied to multiple media jobs for USF.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Have you really not one of them has got back
- 22:56Speaker 1: to me? Oh? Really, that can happen.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I'm sorry to hear that. Well, you know, they got
- 22:59Speaker 2: a new football stadium they're building down there at USF. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 2: so they're no longer to be playing at the Buck
- 23:06Speaker 2: Stadium or Emond James Stadium. But all right, Mila mom Chilovich,
- 23:11Speaker 2: did you hear about this? This was amazing to me,
- 23:14Speaker 2: and this is this is the state of recruiting, it
- 23:17Speaker 2: seems like today. So he was interviewed and admitted that
- 23:23Speaker 2: he didn't even visit Lexington or the University of Kentucky
- 23:28Speaker 2: before he committed.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So that's why I got him. Now, why would you
- 23:32Speaker 1: say something like that? He didn't have to meet mar Pope. Now, No,
- 23:36Speaker 1: they talked multiple times.
- 23:37Speaker 2: They did evidently a lot of phone calls and and
- 23:41Speaker 2: zoom calls. And one of the things that Mom Chilovich
- 23:45Speaker 2: did mention is that he appreciated because he noticed Pope
- 23:51Speaker 2: was on vacation and took a lot of time and
- 23:54Speaker 2: effort to talk to him. He said that was one
- 23:56Speaker 2: of the reasons he went ahead and committed to UK
- 23:58Speaker 2: because he wants to work with the coach.
- 23:59Speaker 1: At really wants him.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And I feel like, well, if anybody needed a Mark
- 24:05Speaker 2: Pope probably needed more than anybody else out there.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Mom chillivet if if.
- 24:11Speaker 2: They have a pretty good season this year, what is
- 24:15Speaker 2: pretty good to you, I gotta say is probably finishing.
- 24:23Speaker 1: At the worst fourth or.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Fifth in the SEC and probably getting to the Elite eight.
- 24:31Speaker 1: That's pretty good. Sixteen I would say sweet sixteen. Okay,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'll say sweet sixteen. In the state that you know,
- 24:42Speaker 1: the Mark Pope and basketball programs, I think Elite eight
- 24:44Speaker 1: would be like great season.
- 24:45Speaker 2: You do, Okay, that's a great season, all right. Then
- 24:48Speaker 2: I'll probably agree with that, But I'm being hard. I
- 24:54Speaker 2: just the realistic side to me, says Listen, Pope really
- 24:58Speaker 2: has to step up this year for him to keep
- 25:00Speaker 2: his job. That's the realistic side. Can he do it, yes,
- 25:05Speaker 2: can he fail, yes? But I just I want to
- 25:10Speaker 2: have that success. Last year was a complete bust. This
- 25:13Speaker 2: year it can't be that way.
- 25:15Speaker 1: If he does make a Sweet sixteen, if he does
- 25:18Speaker 1: make an Elite eight, if he keeps his job with
- 25:22Speaker 1: new athletic director bat do you.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Think mom Chillivic is the one? If he has a
- 25:30Speaker 2: really good season, goes on, gets drafted in the NBA
- 25:33Speaker 2: and plays in the NBA, do you think that might
- 25:36Speaker 2: be the person that saved Mark Pope's job. I do, Boy,
- 25:43Speaker 2: you're really hesitant about this, kind of surprised.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I don't think. To me, it's an easy answer. I don't.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think it would be Malachi Marino.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Oh really, I think if Malachim Reno develops the way
- 25:55Speaker 1: that he is, like they're like people are planning on
- 25:57Speaker 1: him to becomes a lottery pick or something like that,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I think that would show the whole Look. Maybe Mark
- 26:03Speaker 1: Pope's not the best recruiter, so we have to bring
- 26:05Speaker 1: coaches into kind of help in that facet. But he's
- 26:08Speaker 1: a developmental coach. He's an exit and O's guy. He
- 26:11Speaker 1: can win you basketball games. We just need to help
- 26:13Speaker 1: him with this area, you know what I mean. So
- 26:15Speaker 1: if you can get Malachi ma Reno, a guy who
- 26:17Speaker 1: last season you could see that he could be great.
- 26:20Speaker 1: He just wasn't great yet, you know what I mean,
- 26:22Speaker 1: Like you, numbers weren't fantastic. There were some games he
- 26:25Speaker 1: was a little soft here and there. But he's a freshman.
- 26:27Speaker 1: You expect stuff like that exactly. But you could see
- 26:29Speaker 1: how good he could be. Yeah, if he could come
- 26:31Speaker 1: out this season and make himself a bona fide NBA
- 26:34Speaker 1: first round draft pick, maybe, like's if he's not the
- 26:38Speaker 1: lottery route side of the lottery. That would at least
- 26:41Speaker 1: give media members and fans the ability to think, you know,
- 26:44Speaker 1: this is the guy Mark Pope brought in, This is
- 26:46Speaker 1: a guy Mark Pope developed, This is the guy Mark
- 26:48Speaker 1: Pope got to come back when he was getting first
- 26:51Speaker 1: round draft stock. So that would be a positive. I
- 26:54Speaker 1: think it would be Mark Pope. I think it would
- 26:56Speaker 1: be Malachi Reno that shows like, hey, this is the thing,
- 26:58Speaker 1: these are the things we want on Mark Pope.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We just need to help him with this area. Well,
- 27:03Speaker 2: you know, if Malachai has the season which he should,
- 27:06Speaker 2: which we're all expecting, he should be a lottery pick,
- 27:11Speaker 2: he should go in the first round. This year, the
- 27:13Speaker 2: NBA Draft was one of the toughest because there's a
- 27:18Speaker 2: lot of talent in the country and outside the country
- 27:21Speaker 2: that went to the NBA Draft this year. Next year
- 27:24Speaker 2: it looks pretty weak. In fact, it looks like it's
- 27:26Speaker 2: going to be one of the weakest in my recent memory,
- 27:33Speaker 2: where it's not gonna be a great NBA draft. So
- 27:36Speaker 2: there's gonna be players that go in the first round
- 27:38Speaker 2: that most likely would never go in the first round
- 27:41Speaker 2: any other year. So that's where I was like, I'm
- 27:44Speaker 2: pretty confident like you that Malakai will go in the
- 27:47Speaker 2: first round and will be a lottery pick if he
- 27:49Speaker 2: has the season he does. And this is probably the
- 27:51Speaker 2: best thing that ever happened to me on mom Chillovich
- 27:54Speaker 2: coming back to UK having a fun season, being with
- 27:58Speaker 2: a base that's gonna go crazy for him. He's now
- 28:03Speaker 2: going to experience nothing like he would have experienced at
- 28:06Speaker 2: Iowa State, and then on top of it all, he's
- 28:09Speaker 2: gonna have a great season and get drafted, most likely
- 28:12Speaker 2: in the first round. Again and continue to have UK
- 28:16Speaker 2: lead the first round, which, okay, great, we have the
- 28:20Speaker 2: most players that go in the first round.
- 28:22Speaker 1: That's great. That's a nice.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Little side little tidbit, but it's not what I want
- 28:28Speaker 2: as a fan at UK. But listen, I think it's
- 28:32Speaker 2: gonna be great. But the part that still amazes me though, Matthew,
- 28:37Speaker 2: are you surprised that he never even visited UK and
- 28:41Speaker 2: Lexington and still picked it?
- 28:43Speaker 1: Really? I don't think I could do that? Could you go?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Could you if you were going to pick a job
- 28:49Speaker 2: or you just went to Tampa, your your girlfriend fiance
- 28:54Speaker 2: picked a job. It's not like y'all didn't go down
- 28:57Speaker 2: there to visit.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I mean she titally picked job before he visited, did
- 29:01Speaker 1: she really?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Okay, never mind, then I would have never done that.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I would have gone down there, looked around the community
- 29:08Speaker 2: and say, okay, is this a place I could live?
- 29:10Speaker 2: Do I envision myself living here? The only working here?
- 29:13Speaker 1: I agree with you. Yeah. The only thing I would
- 29:16Speaker 1: say is different about the situation is Milan mam. Cholovich
- 29:20Speaker 1: stressed heavily, not to just media, but to fans and
- 29:24Speaker 1: to you know, his camp around him, that look what
- 29:27Speaker 1: I want is to go in the draft. What I
- 29:29Speaker 1: want is to go to the NBA. But the reason,
- 29:31Speaker 1: but I'm not going to the NBA unless I get guarantees,
- 29:34Speaker 1: whether that's a first round pick or if it's a
- 29:36Speaker 1: second round pick with guaranteed money, or it's a guaranteed contract.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He doesn't want Exhibit ten. He doesn't want a two way.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He wants he wants a guarantee contract with a team.
- 29:45Speaker 1: He said, if he doesn't get that, he will come
- 29:47Speaker 1: back to college basketball, and he's it's it's been pretty
- 29:51Speaker 1: abundantly clear that, you know, if he were to come
- 29:54Speaker 1: back to the entire process, he was probably going to Kentucky.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Biggest Kentucky, you know, had the most money to offer
- 30:01Speaker 1: him that late in the stage. Wow. So if it
- 30:05Speaker 1: wasn't in the situation where if the entire process to
- 30:08Speaker 1: his recruitment, he was like, I don't know if I
- 30:10Speaker 1: want to stay in the NBA. I don't know if
- 30:11Speaker 1: I want to go out to college. I'm still weighing
- 30:12Speaker 1: that decision. If he wasn't so adamant on saying I
- 30:15Speaker 1: want to be in the NBA. That's what I want. Yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 1: I would say, Okay, he's probably gonna visit all these schools.
- 30:21Speaker 1: He's probably gonna do all this. He's probably gonna extend
- 30:23Speaker 1: this out. And I think that's why I was so fast.
- 30:25Speaker 1: As soon as he you know, the draft, the cutoff
- 30:28Speaker 1: was over, like he didn't have much time. He didn't.
- 30:30Speaker 1: So I think that his mind, like I think, just
- 30:33Speaker 1: like everybody else said, his mind was basically made up, Like, look,
- 30:36Speaker 1: it's one I can only play one more season anyway,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't really need to take a visit whether it's
- 30:42Speaker 1: good or it's bad. I'm gonna make a lot of
- 30:43Speaker 1: money and then I just go to the draft next year.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And I think I genuinely believe in this. You can
- 30:48Speaker 1: disagree with you want. I genuinely believe he didn't really
- 30:53Speaker 1: care where he was going. I'm just being honest, Like, really,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I think that it was kind I think you care
- 30:57Speaker 1: a little bit now. The only reason I'm saying that, yes,
- 31:00Speaker 1: a little bit, Like you obviously don't want to go
- 31:02Speaker 1: to like Southern miss. But I think it was to
- 31:05Speaker 1: the point where like, Okay, if this team gives me
- 31:07Speaker 1: a uch more money, I'll go there. Because of how
- 31:10Speaker 1: focused he was on I don't want to go to
- 31:13Speaker 1: the NBA. But it has to be I have to
- 31:16Speaker 1: have a contract. I have to have this, I have
- 31:17Speaker 1: to have I have to have these guarantees. He's very
- 31:19Speaker 1: specific on what his needs were, whereas like a normal
- 31:22Speaker 1: person going in the draft is like, oh my gosh,
- 31:24Speaker 1: I got a two way contract. Good. I can work
- 31:25Speaker 1: for this. I can do this. Like he showed through
- 31:27Speaker 1: the whole process that he's like, look, I want guarantee money.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I want to guarantee spot and guarantee this. So as
- 31:33Speaker 1: soon as he put out the draft, I was like, Okay,
- 31:34Speaker 1: he's probably gonna he's going to conduct this is how
- 31:36Speaker 1: it's gonna happen. And it doesn't surprise me. He didn't
- 31:38Speaker 1: take a miss. I guess.
- 31:39Speaker 2: The other part though, Matthew is he's only there for
- 31:41Speaker 2: a few months. It's like, Okay, if I don't like it,
- 31:43Speaker 2: I'm only here for a few months. The dude can
- 31:45Speaker 2: deal with it.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Six million dollars, Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I think I could deal six million dollars in live
- 31:51Speaker 2: in oh Man. What would be probably the worst place
- 31:55Speaker 2: I can It wouldn't be Nashville because I'm at least
- 31:57Speaker 2: I'd be close to home.
- 31:59Speaker 1: For six I would go live out in the middle
- 32:02Speaker 1: in like the middle of idem Would you really? Yeah?
- 32:06Speaker 2: Would I like a place? I just loathe Las Vegas?
- 32:11Speaker 2: I mean I could probably live out there for six
- 32:14Speaker 2: months and six million dollars.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Okay, this this opens up a question. I'm gonna ask
- 32:18Speaker 1: you this. I'm ready. I like to smirk on your
- 32:20Speaker 1: face because it's gonna be a good question. So my
- 32:22Speaker 1: best friend, who is also my roommate right now, okay,
- 32:25Speaker 1: is a physical therapist. All right. He's a travel physical therapist. Okay,
- 32:28Speaker 1: So he does this right now. It's more money, you know,
- 32:30Speaker 1: they send him all over the place whatever. He's done
- 32:32Speaker 1: it locally still, but he wants to use his travel
- 32:35Speaker 1: like licensing ships and go somewhere.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Like visiting nurses association. Exactly, yes, except except this is
- 32:40Speaker 2: for physical therapists.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Okay, all right. He got an offer for his job,
- 32:44Speaker 1: and I told him he is insane for not taking it,
- 32:47Speaker 1: and he was like, I don't think I could survive.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I don't think I could do it. All right, where
- 32:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna set the scene. You're him, Okay, you're the
- 32:54Speaker 1: physical therapist. All right, somebody offers you over He didn't
- 32:59Speaker 1: give me that number, he just said over one hundred
- 33:01Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Right, it's for four months of work. Ooh,
- 33:07Speaker 1: four months of work for one hundred thousand dollars. Your
- 33:10Speaker 1: your your living expenses are paid. Yes, your gas is paid,
- 33:15Speaker 1: your food is paid. So it's just your banking big money.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah right. You have to live right in the middle
- 33:22Speaker 1: of nowhere, Alaska. Yeah, for four to five months you were,
- 33:27Speaker 1: and the catches. Wow. He's the only physical therapist in
- 33:30Speaker 1: the entire area. Wow. So okay, every single day he's
- 33:33Speaker 1: got like one hundred people coming to right. Let me
- 33:35Speaker 1: ask you, may I ask a question. What time of year?
- 33:39Speaker 1: I think it was the wintertime. That's the problem right there.
- 33:43Speaker 1: That's why it's so much money. Yes, that is why.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Because you know it's dark what twenty three twenty six
- 33:50Speaker 2: hours a day.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I mean it's dark all the time, not twenty six hours.
- 33:54Speaker 1: On the tape, I know it was just a little
- 33:55Speaker 1: bit of an exaggeration, Matthew, Okay, work with I know,
- 33:58Speaker 1: but I mean, all right, for that much money, I
- 34:02Speaker 1: mean yeah, I told him. I was like, dude, I
- 34:07Speaker 1: might do it. Look if you look, I said, if
- 34:10Speaker 1: you look at me right in the face right now,
- 34:12Speaker 1: and said I'm going a wall for five months. Yes,
- 34:15Speaker 1: I was like, I wouldn't. I wouldn't blame me.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Here's the thing about it, because my son, my oldest son,
- 34:21Speaker 2: lived in China for an entire school year. And what
- 34:24Speaker 2: made it so much easier on us is that you
- 34:26Speaker 2: can FaceTime. So just because he's not there physically and
- 34:30Speaker 2: he's halfway across the world, at least we could see
- 34:32Speaker 2: each other and talk to each other, and that made
- 34:35Speaker 2: it a lot easier.
- 34:36Speaker 1: When I say he was in the middle of nowhere, yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 1: I mean dead smack center of Alaska. There's nothing within
- 34:43Speaker 1: like thirty forty miles of it, and it would be hard.
- 34:46Speaker 1: He is literally the only person there and he has
- 34:49Speaker 1: to take care of me. Why is he if he's
- 34:51Speaker 1: he's the only physical therapist. Okay, he's the only physical
- 34:54Speaker 1: I think i'd try. I think I would absolutely give
- 34:58Speaker 1: it a shot. Now, are they going to hire me
- 35:00Speaker 1: full time? No? If I'm there four months, I think
- 35:04Speaker 1: for that much money, i'd do it. Yeah, would you?
- 35:07Speaker 1: I would do it? And he said no? He said no.
- 35:11Speaker 1: He said he wow. I mean he makes a lot
- 35:13Speaker 1: of money already. Oh he does. It wasn't like this huge,
- 35:17Speaker 1: like he was going from forty rand a year to
- 35:19Speaker 1: like this is, oh, that's different thing. He makes a
- 35:20Speaker 1: good amount of money now, But the point of it
- 35:23Speaker 1: was most of his contracts are like seven to eight
- 35:25Speaker 1: months or less money than that. I was like, dude,
- 35:29Speaker 1: you can survive four months and then you have your
- 35:31Speaker 1: whole year paid for.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Yeah, because what an experience that would be. I mean,
- 35:36Speaker 2: I just like with going to Norway, I dreaded going,
- 35:39Speaker 2: but I'll tell you what, I wouldn't exchange the experience
- 35:42Speaker 2: for anything. I loved it, and I'd go back now.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I think once people go and visit and see, oh,
- 35:49Speaker 2: it's not as bad as I think, that your mind
- 35:52Speaker 2: gets the best you. And I bet you the mind
- 35:54Speaker 2: got the best of him that it's going to be
- 35:56Speaker 2: absolutely miserable. If he went up there and tried it out,
- 36:00Speaker 2: then he would probably think this is kind of a
- 36:02Speaker 2: lot nicer than I thought it would be. I think
- 36:04Speaker 2: people just get their mind going and they think of
- 36:08Speaker 2: every negative thing. Because when I think of having to
- 36:11Speaker 2: go to certain places in the world, my mind gets
- 36:14Speaker 2: going immediately. And if I set my mind to negative,
- 36:17Speaker 2: it's going to stay negative. I'm not going to be
- 36:19Speaker 2: happy the entire time. If I set my mind to positive.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Guess what, Sure, there might be some setbacks, but I'm
- 36:25Speaker 2: going to be having fun because I'm gonna make it
- 36:28Speaker 2: a fun experience. I just I don't know I would
- 36:32Speaker 2: do it.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I think it's a tough decision. Tough it is like
- 36:36Speaker 1: that question. It's a very mental decision. It's like, can
- 36:38Speaker 1: you like, yes, the money is great and you know
- 36:41Speaker 1: you're gonna be set for a little while, but it's
- 36:43Speaker 1: obviously not permanent money. It's not like millions of dollars.
- 36:47Speaker 1: And it's like, can you basically survive solitary confinement for
- 36:54Speaker 1: four months in the dead of winter the sun never
- 36:57Speaker 1: comes up while all so probably be working the most,
- 37:03Speaker 1: being the busiest you have in your entire career for
- 37:05Speaker 1: four months.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know that's what's going to make it
- 37:08Speaker 2: go buy so much quicker it because you're gonna be
- 37:09Speaker 2: busy the entire time. I always liked the question of
- 37:12Speaker 2: what are the cities? Uh if I was a professional
- 37:16Speaker 2: athlete that I would most not like to play yet Utah? Really,
- 37:22Speaker 2: I think I think you if you went to Utah,
- 37:24Speaker 2: you would change your mind.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I mean, it's a beautiful place. It's a beautiful if
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm a professional athlete in the print of my life,
- 37:31Speaker 1: like mid twenties. Yeah you tall, you tall? You are
- 37:35Speaker 1: awfully quick to answer that question. Lake City closes at
- 37:39Speaker 1: like nine pm. Oh that's right. It's the King of
- 37:44Speaker 1: Mormon out here. Yes, there's nothing going on, so like like, yeah,
- 37:47Speaker 1: it's a beautiful place. But if I'm twenty mid twenties
- 37:52Speaker 1: and extremely wealthy, there's just nothing to do.
- 37:55Speaker 2: All right, we gotta take a break. But when we
- 37:57Speaker 2: come back, I want to give you a couple of city.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I've always thought there's no way I would want to
- 38:02Speaker 2: be a professional athlete or even live up there, no
- 38:05Speaker 2: matter what kind of money you paid me. Stay right
- 38:06Speaker 2: there more. Justin Kat's coming right up.
- 38:09Speaker 3: No, it's been coming. We fome time rain home, been
- 38:32Speaker 3: not paid home.
- 38:39Speaker 1: All right, I'm already in an argument with Justin Kaln.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Just to let you know.
- 38:42Speaker 2: He texted me and said, I went to IU without
- 38:45Speaker 2: going up to campus. I'd seen the football and basketball
- 38:48Speaker 2: stadium obviously, but that was about it. Now, I said,
- 38:55Speaker 2: come on, then you saw campus? He said, nope. Athletics
- 38:58Speaker 2: facilities are so far from actual campus buildings. Now, all right,
- 39:02Speaker 2: I mean I can say I went to Kentucky without
- 39:05Speaker 2: looking at Kentucky because I only went to Rupper and
- 39:07Speaker 2: Uncommonwealth Stadium. Don't you feel like you've been to the
- 39:12Speaker 2: campus if you've seen the football stadium, basketball stadium or
- 39:17Speaker 2: Am I wrong about this?
- 39:18Speaker 1: You tell me, Matthew, you're talking to the guy who's
- 39:21Speaker 1: a little fan where there Neither of those are on campus.
- 39:23Speaker 1: But that is true.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Louisville is a city school, though I don't really consider
- 39:28Speaker 2: it a college experience type school. Am I wrong to
- 39:36Speaker 2: think that? Because I look at for instance, I think
- 39:39Speaker 2: if you go to Georgia with this which is in Athens, Florida,
- 39:44Speaker 2: which is in Gainesville, all small schools Texas A and M,
- 39:47Speaker 2: which is in College Station, Kentucky, which is that in Lexington,
- 39:52Speaker 2: which is a smaller school. I mean in a smaller
- 39:55Speaker 2: city I look at, Let me think of it. I
- 39:59Speaker 2: look at Cincinnati, Memphis.
- 40:01Speaker 1: U of L.
- 40:02Speaker 2: They're all city schools. To me, I don't think you
- 40:04Speaker 2: get the same kind of experience of being in college
- 40:09Speaker 2: like you would be at a small city in a
- 40:12Speaker 2: big university. Am I wrong to think that?
- 40:15Speaker 1: I genuinely think in Kentucky there's only a few actual
- 40:21Speaker 1: college environment type schools like maybe two or three. All right,
- 40:25Speaker 1: what are they? WKU?
- 40:28Speaker 2: All right, Western and Bowling Green, Okay, Murray and Morehead,
- 40:32Speaker 2: Murray and Morehead because they're in really small schools. So
- 40:36Speaker 2: you think UK and Lexington is not really the college
- 40:39Speaker 2: experience anymore.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I think that UK is, like it's a better college
- 40:42Speaker 1: experience than U of L is obviously. Yeah, I just
- 40:46Speaker 1: think that because the campus is so spread out throughout Lexington,
- 40:51Speaker 1: like I think it makes it a little more difficult.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I don't know if it's necessarily spread out through Lexington.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I like, yeah, you have to drive to some of
- 41:01Speaker 1: the buildings depending on where you're coming from class from.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Really, I never I walked everywhere. I mean, if it's
- 41:08Speaker 2: a long one, you can get on a bus.
- 41:09Speaker 1: But I just I feel like that kind of kills
- 41:12Speaker 1: the experience. It does, Okay, I feel like And that's
- 41:14Speaker 1: that's obviously a personal opinion. That's what when I think
- 41:17Speaker 1: of the college experience, I think of living on campus,
- 41:20Speaker 1: all of my classes a with like five minute walk
- 41:23Speaker 1: from each other. I don't have to take anything that's
- 41:25Speaker 1: a small school. Then that's what that's what I think.
- 41:27Speaker 1: That's because I still think Michigan uh. Uh.
- 41:31Speaker 2: I even question if Ohio State is really a college
- 41:34Speaker 2: experience anymore because it's in Columbus, Ohio, which is a
- 41:37Speaker 2: pretty fair fairly good sized city.
- 41:40Speaker 1: I've never been there, so I've never been to their camp.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I've been to Michigan. I've been to Purdue Lafayette, India.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Is it West Lafayette or just Lafaytte, Indiana, I don't remember,
- 41:50Speaker 2: which didn't matter yet. And then you got Michigan, which
- 41:53Speaker 2: is up in ann Arbor. That was definitely even though
- 41:57Speaker 2: Michigan is a huge school, I considered that a college experience.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I can see that. Yeah, but I don't know. I
- 42:04Speaker 1: kind of feel like, like I said, that's just the
- 42:06Speaker 1: way I picture it.
- 42:07Speaker 2: All right, fair enough, I get you. Let's get to
- 42:10Speaker 2: a couple of texts before we go on. Uh oh,
- 42:13Speaker 2: I said, Mark Pope will be on John Rothstein's podcast today. Yes,
- 42:18Speaker 2: I saw that. If you're interested on John Rothstein, which
- 42:23Speaker 2: I don't know. Are you a big fan of John Rosstein? Yeah,
- 42:27Speaker 2: that's kind of.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I'm not like a fan, but like I have his
- 42:29Speaker 1: notifications turned on because he's usually the first to get
- 42:32Speaker 1: a bunch of news. Why is that? How does he
- 42:35Speaker 1: do that. He just knows a lot of people.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, he's gonna be on Inside College Basketball
- 42:41Speaker 2: now at ten am with Mark Pope. So if you
- 42:45Speaker 2: want to go listen to that, you can check him
- 42:47Speaker 2: out on Twitter and go listen to Mark Pope. And
- 42:50Speaker 2: with all he has to say there, I'm sure I'll
- 42:52Speaker 2: go listen to it, the Mark Pope.
- 42:54Speaker 1: We'll see one. One textor said the.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Mark Pope with can't recruit, doesn't understand recruits is over done.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Pope missed on a few guys he wanted, and Stokes
- 43:03Speaker 2: heard him.
- 43:04Speaker 1: With other recruits. He can recruit, I hope.
- 43:10Speaker 2: So, but I think that uh having a couple of
- 43:14Speaker 2: coaches come in here, Moe Williams uh is who I'm
- 43:17Speaker 2: predominantly speaking about, but has helped a lot. I Uh,
- 43:24Speaker 2: I still need to be convinced he can recruit. I
- 43:27Speaker 2: think he can coach. But sometimes from a few people
- 43:32Speaker 2: I've heard, really a deep on the inside, have said
- 43:36Speaker 2: he does have a struggle with communit.
- 43:40Speaker 1: How do you say it? Like that's fine? Like not ever,
- 43:44Speaker 1: he's nothing embarrassing about that. Like, let's let's put the table.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Coach Cal probably arguably the greatest recruiter in college basketball history,
- 43:52Speaker 1: not a great exce's and host coach, like just just
- 43:55Speaker 1: just not like who that cal oh a thousand agree
- 44:00Speaker 1: with that. And the thing is is, like that, I
- 44:03Speaker 1: think that lasted as long as it did because Kentucky
- 44:06Speaker 1: was bringing in five stars all the time. Like that's
- 44:07Speaker 1: something where no matter how bad your season is going,
- 44:10Speaker 1: you can constantly say, well, next year, we got these
- 44:12Speaker 1: guys coming in, you know what I mean. And he
- 44:14Speaker 1: effectively used the freshman. It wasn't like it's not like
- 44:17Speaker 1: football where you're bringing in a freshman and not expecting
- 44:19Speaker 1: to see them for two or three years. So it's
- 44:23Speaker 1: I feel like being a better recruiter is a better
- 44:26Speaker 1: band aid than it is being a great ex's and
- 44:28Speaker 1: o's guy, because you can see it before it's on
- 44:30Speaker 1: the court, if that makes any sense, you know what
- 44:32Speaker 1: I mean, Like it gives you something to be excited about.
- 44:34Speaker 1: You can't really it's hard to be excited about three
- 44:37Speaker 1: stars and stuff coming in and like mid class transfer
- 44:40Speaker 1: portal guys, but then trying to sell rival fan bases
- 44:44Speaker 1: or sell your fan base yourself and saying, Okay, I
- 44:46Speaker 1: know our players aren't great, but this guy's a great coach.
- 44:50Speaker 1: It's easier to say, well, maybe not a great coach,
- 44:52Speaker 1: but we're bringing all this NBA talent in, so you
- 44:55Speaker 1: could look at it from either way. See callent.
- 44:58Speaker 2: His height of success was when he had John Robick
- 45:03Speaker 2: right there next to him. Because John Robick was the
- 45:05Speaker 2: ex'son OS guy. Cal was the recruiter. And you'll never
- 45:09Speaker 2: be able to convince me Cal, there's anybody better at
- 45:13Speaker 2: recruiting in college than John cal Perry. I think, bar none,
- 45:17Speaker 2: he is the best. Now, if you want a combination
- 45:20Speaker 2: recruiter and ex'son os guys, you're never going to convince
- 45:25Speaker 2: me Rick Patino was not the best in the country
- 45:29Speaker 2: because he is phenomenal at recruiting, and he is phenomenal
- 45:32Speaker 2: at x's and o's.
- 45:34Speaker 1: He is the best at it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: No better who you tell me you think is better,
- 45:39Speaker 2: it's not gonna be the person. But Cal was great
- 45:42Speaker 2: when John robe. As soon as John Robick was not his,
- 45:45Speaker 2: no matter what the situation was, and I don't want
- 45:47Speaker 2: to get into that, but uh, as soon as John
- 45:50Speaker 2: Robick was no longer a part of Cal, it seemed
- 45:54Speaker 2: like it really changed the dymantic namic definitely changed the UK.
- 45:59Speaker 2: Cal can still, but I just don't think he's that
- 46:02Speaker 2: great of a coach. So anyway, how much time do
- 46:06Speaker 2: we have.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Before we have to take off?
- 46:08Speaker 2: I'm about all right. Let me get to one more
- 46:10Speaker 2: of these. Jamie texts it out. My neighbor's daughter moved
- 46:14Speaker 2: to Alaska as an anesthesiology and fell in love with
- 46:20Speaker 2: the area, so he would give it a try, and
- 46:23Speaker 2: if he doesn't work out, then it's okay, he can
- 46:26Speaker 2: move back. See, I'm right there with you. I can't
- 46:29Speaker 2: imagine moving up there, but you know what, it's all
- 46:32Speaker 2: the negatives in my head thinking about I don't know
- 46:35Speaker 2: if I could survive with just nothing but darkness most
- 46:38Speaker 2: of the time during a certain time of the year.
- 46:41Speaker 2: But I might get up there and fall in love
- 46:44Speaker 2: with it. You just never know. I'd miss my family,
- 46:48Speaker 2: that's the big part. I'd miss my family.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't think he has the offer anymore. This
- 46:54Speaker 1: is like over a year ago. Oh yeah, the offer's gone.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Then as soon as he said no, the offer was gone.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm sure, but I don't know. If he put his
- 47:01Speaker 1: name back in then they might have tried it again.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I probably would have taken it if you.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Were the employer employer and somebody said no to you,
- 47:10Speaker 2: would you go back and offer him again down the road.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you would, because you know, I mean some people
- 47:15Speaker 1: don't you know, they're not saying no because you know
- 47:17Speaker 1: it's like, oh my gosh, I never do this. They
- 47:19Speaker 1: probably just got this. Sever a situation is different. Yeah
- 47:21Speaker 1: it is okay.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Oh we didn't even talk about the places I would
- 47:25Speaker 2: never want to play in the in professional sports. We'll
- 47:28Speaker 2: get back to that second. Now, we got to take
- 47:30Speaker 2: a break. Our two coming up. It's Tuesday. I think
- 47:33Speaker 2: Corey Price is coming in. We'll see if he is.
- 47:35Speaker 2: If not, We'll just keep on going with show and
- 47:37Speaker 2: I'll get back to your tech as well. Babble two
- 47:39Speaker 2: four one four, fourteen fifty stay right there. Hour two,
- 47:42Speaker 2: coming right up.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Welcome to the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 48:05Speaker 2: What's the temperature she just said it was gonna be today?
- 48:09Speaker 2: Did she say heat index of one hundred and something degrees?
- 48:12Speaker 2: That's what they said yesterday. I wasn't like fully listening,
- 48:14Speaker 2: so yeah, neither was I. And then that that caught
- 48:17Speaker 2: my my temperature gauge.
- 48:19Speaker 1: As I walk outside, I'm like, it's either really cold
- 48:22Speaker 1: or it's really hot, there's just no ine between. In Kentucky,
- 48:26Speaker 1: the temperature does not matter. It's either swelteringly hot or
- 48:29Speaker 1: it's freezing cold all the time. I feel like I
- 48:34Speaker 1: walk outside, They're like, it's eighty five degrees, but it
- 48:36Speaker 1: feels like one hundred and ten. Okay, well it's not
- 48:38Speaker 1: really eighty five degrees. Yeah, well I don't know.
- 48:41Speaker 2: I mean I saw a little bit ago they've postponed
- 48:46Speaker 2: racing today at Ellis Park and this was their I
- 48:49Speaker 2: think it's their first day of racing at Ellis and
- 48:51Speaker 2: they've already postponed stuff. It's like, oh my gosh, man, because.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Of the heat. Have you seen that's the best thing
- 48:56Speaker 1: to do. Have you seen all the news with like
- 48:58Speaker 1: the French and German people over their heat? No? I
- 49:01Speaker 1: have not. So it's been for them. It's like swelteringly hot.
- 49:05Speaker 1: It's like the hottest summer they've ever had in history
- 49:07Speaker 1: in France and Germany like in that same area. So
- 49:12Speaker 1: people like the citizens are like begging, like can we
- 49:15Speaker 1: please get air conditioning? Can we do this because they
- 49:17Speaker 1: have like laws and regulations around air conditioning over there? What? Yes,
- 49:21Speaker 1: they have laws against air conditioning? Yes, wah, because their
- 49:26Speaker 1: reasoning is that it's horriful to the environment stuff, right,
- 49:30Speaker 1: That's that's what their reasoning is. That's where their infrastructure's at.
- 49:33Speaker 1: But they are going through this thing right now. We're
- 49:35Speaker 1: so hot to like please fix this, like we need
- 49:38Speaker 1: air conditioning. We're dying out here. And their government officials,
- 49:45Speaker 1: thank you, sir. Their government officials are basically coming out
- 49:51Speaker 1: and saying, you guys can't have the air conditioning. It's
- 49:54Speaker 1: horriful to the environment, this and that. So all these
- 49:56Speaker 1: other countries around, you know, Western Europe and all these
- 50:02Speaker 1: other countries around there are showing video of them installing
- 50:05Speaker 1: air conditioning for their animals outside and they're like, ther,
- 50:09Speaker 1: come on to make fun of the German and French
- 50:11Speaker 1: governments to be like, oh, it's horrible the environment. Here's
- 50:15Speaker 1: an AC unit for my outdoor dog. Right, So people
- 50:18Speaker 1: like like French and German people are losing their minds, wow,
- 50:22Speaker 1: sweating to death and they can't their government won't let
- 50:25Speaker 1: them install air conditioning. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy, and I
- 50:29Speaker 1: love that the fact that they're doing this too. There's
- 50:32Speaker 1: videos of people like installing them in their pig pins.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry for the big laugh there, but you know,
- 50:36Speaker 2: I've been texting somebody if he's coming in this morning
- 50:39Speaker 2: without a single answer, and he doesn't. He just shows
- 50:43Speaker 2: up on your screen anyway. But you know, it's Tuesday
- 50:47Speaker 2: and I always look forward to this. And who is here?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Now? Corey Price is here on this Tuesday? You worried me.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I texted, here are you coming in? I put a
- 51:07Speaker 1: question mark. You don't answer me, you don't read it.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Nothing have I doneing? Is it because I was having
- 51:13Speaker 1: fun with you last week? Is that what it is? No?
- 51:16Speaker 4: I was actually getting my gift for Matt ready in
- 51:19Speaker 4: the parking lot.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Side walked in here with a giant bag. I saw that.
- 51:25Speaker 2: It's just like this creepy guy coming up behind you
- 51:28Speaker 2: and I didn't know who it was. And all of
- 51:29Speaker 2: a sudden, I see a big bag in a card. Hey,
- 51:33Speaker 2: is there anybody.
- 51:34Speaker 1: A little red bag too? It's like lingerie in here.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Wait wait, wait, it's in a red bag. I mean
- 51:38Speaker 2: you bought him something and it's in a red bag.
- 51:42Speaker 1: He is a cards fan? Okay, So all right, then
- 51:45Speaker 1: should we open it up on the air?
- 51:46Speaker 2: I think we should. I think, why does this not
- 51:51Speaker 2: surprise me? I mean, you are the most heartfelt person
- 51:54Speaker 2: in this entire world. I want you to know that well.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I mean, this is his last show with me at least. Yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 2: I just want to thank you.
- 52:02Speaker 1: And wait, wait now, Matthew, I'm gonna read the card alive. Okay, good.
- 52:07Speaker 1: So the front of the card says, will you be missed? Yes, forgotten?
- 52:11Speaker 1: Never wish the best always handwriting. It's a little horror,
- 52:18Speaker 1: but I've I've pre read it, so I ready, okay,
- 52:20Speaker 1: all right, let's hear it. It says, first, I like
- 52:23Speaker 1: how you made a note so that you know how
- 52:24Speaker 1: every card has like a note built in already if
- 52:26Speaker 1: we have to write anything. So it says goodbye and
- 52:29Speaker 1: good luck to you. He made like he addressed me
- 52:32Speaker 1: before that note to like make sure I knew this
- 52:35Speaker 1: for me. It says matt Comma, good bye, good luck
- 52:38Speaker 1: to you. And then there's a note internew so I appreciate.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Oh nice. Okay, what's the note that it says you
- 52:43Speaker 1: have been? That looks like it says pleasure to work with,
- 52:46Speaker 1: congratulations on your engagement. It looks like he says arrangement
- 52:50Speaker 1: and engagement and barf of luck. I think I means
- 52:52Speaker 1: supposed to be best barf of luck. I like this
- 52:56Speaker 1: in your new beginning in Florida, Corey P. Cory.
- 53:00Speaker 2: That is the nicest thing ever. Alright, alright, let's hear
- 53:03Speaker 2: what what what?
- 53:04Speaker 1: Let's see what kind of lingerie he bought you? Yeah,
- 53:10Speaker 1: I'm ready. It's all Red. I mean you even bought

- 53:20Speaker 1: It's like a it's a it's a it's really hot.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I stop. Oh wow, show everybody on YouTube. It's like
- 53:28Speaker 1: a picture of like Louwsell's best quarterbacks at the alley.
- 53:31Speaker 1: It's awesome. Well, and there's Rick between and Donovan Mitchell
- 53:34Speaker 1: and Repatino and Weld. I just Jackson and tap Bridge,
- 53:40Speaker 1: most overrated quarterback in the world. So I should have
- 53:43Speaker 1: never want to hide.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Well, it's it's just a thank you for all the
- 53:46Speaker 4: work you've done. And it's gonna be sad you'd be
- 53:48Speaker 4: going to Florida and you know the best of luck
- 53:51Speaker 4: down there.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna put in my bathroom right above the toilet
- 53:55Speaker 1: so I can see it every time I went. Yeah, exactly.
- 53:59Speaker 4: That's an insult.
- 54:01Speaker 2: All right, Matthew, prepare yourself because I have a few
- 54:04Speaker 2: questions for Corey. Oh boy, are you ready?
- 54:06Speaker 1: I have to prepare for your questions for Corey. Yeah?
- 54:08Speaker 2: Stop it now, Hey, Corey, have you been down to
- 54:12Speaker 2: Elizabethtown lately?
- 54:17Speaker 1: Any movies lately? Corey? Oh, nobody. You haven't seen any movies.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Not since Torris. I did see Disclosure Day?
- 54:30Speaker 1: Yeah? And was it good? No, it was really I
- 54:34Speaker 1: wanted to see that it was it was slow. I
- 54:36Speaker 1: mean for me, it was just it was way too slow.
- 54:38Speaker 1: And did you go with anybody to the movie? Yes?
- 54:42Speaker 1: And did she come from Elizabethtown? No? Oh, this is
- 54:47Speaker 1: really so. There's another one. Okay, Corey is a player.
- 54:51Speaker 4: I have many friends. I don't know what else to say.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I don't know. I just wanted to Has she driven
- 54:57Speaker 1: from Elizabethtown? No? This is so sad. Did she move
- 55:02Speaker 1: to know what it's said? For just friends?
- 55:06Speaker 4: I don't know what's so?
- 55:07Speaker 2: Because you need a love connection, it's time to get
- 55:11Speaker 2: Corey Price in a love connection.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Corey, you're not friends. I am happy. See thank you,
- 55:16Speaker 1: Matthew say it again so he hears you. Corey. You're
- 55:18Speaker 1: not Corey. Ask her out. You're not friends. You already
- 55:20Speaker 1: went on a date.
- 55:21Speaker 4: I'm happy just the way I am. I don't need
- 55:23Speaker 4: a I don't.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Need to love and you know what you might be,
- 55:26Speaker 1: but you could be happier, exactly, you could be so
- 55:29Speaker 1: much happier. I'm sharing all your stats in all your

- 55:37Speaker 1: about stats of uh.
- 55:39Speaker 4: I'm sure she would be thrilled.
- 55:41Speaker 1: And she can just nod her head while she watches
- 55:42Speaker 1: Love Island, you know, like that's that's that's relationships, that's
- 55:45Speaker 1: what it goes. You could text this woman right now.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. Text her right now
- 55:50Speaker 1: and just be like, he's not happy with that. We're
- 55:52Speaker 1: going on a date and she's like, Okay.
- 55:55Speaker 4: I am content with what I have right now.
- 55:58Speaker 1: But is she with what you? Exactly? Is she? It's
- 56:01Speaker 1: all about her, not you. This is not about you,
- 56:04Speaker 1: Corey Price. I mean, I might be selfish, but I
- 56:07Speaker 1: care about me first. So oh boy, okay, yeah, then
- 56:11Speaker 1: you're right.
- 56:11Speaker 2: It's never gonna work because guess what when you get married,
- 56:14Speaker 2: Matthew is gonna learn this pretty soon. It has nothing
- 56:18Speaker 2: to do with you anymore. It has everything to do
- 56:20Speaker 2: with a thousand percent with her. I don't plan on
- 56:23Speaker 2: getting married all right, then, well, I'm not giving I
- 56:28Speaker 2: am not giving up. Okay, just to let you know, well,

- 56:43Speaker 1: she's lonely. She's crying right now. Knows what That train
- 56:49Speaker 1: will leave the station fast than you think.
- 56:51Speaker 2: His face is as red as that tissue paper and
- 56:53Speaker 2: bag he just gave you. Just let you know funny
- 56:57Speaker 2: to me, that's all pure comedy.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's not.
- 57:03Speaker 2: What do you have the biggest heart in the world
- 57:04Speaker 2: and you have an even bigger heart out there for
- 57:07Speaker 2: a woman?
- 57:07Speaker 1: You're gonna fall in them? Oh, let me blush Michael Bendon. Okay,

- 58:24Speaker 4: Supporting Actor for Robber, Worst Worst.
- 58:27Speaker 1: For who Rob Low was? Come on, he was good? Now,
- 58:30Speaker 1: I like Rob Low. The film. It's mixed.
- 58:33Speaker 4: I think you either love it was okay love or hated,
- 58:37Speaker 4: and I think hated it.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Gold Raspberry Award. Yeah, I've never heard of the red
- 58:41Speaker 1: They called it the Golden Dingleberry Award or something of
- 58:43Speaker 1: an actor. Do you have to say that? Yes? Okay
- 58:48Speaker 1: too far Man. Yeah, it was an Have you ever
- 58:53Speaker 1: seen it? I have not, but I do know the

- 59:26Speaker 4: Directed by Steven Spielberg, it stars Brendan Gleeson, William Hurt,
- 59:31Speaker 4: Jude Law, Frantz O'Connor, and Haley Joe Osman. A film
- 59:37Speaker 4: gross approximately seventy eight point six million dollars domestically, I
- 59:40Speaker 4: mean at the twenty seventh highest ruction film of two
- 59:43Speaker 4: thousand and one, and the film was nominated for seven
- 59:46Speaker 4: Saturn Awards, winning five Best Music, Best Performance by a

- 1:00:02Speaker 4: history film Apollo thirteen is released theaters.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: You're big Apollo thirty. I've seen it multiple times. I
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: think it's fantastical one with Tom Hanks, Yes, yep, yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and uh it's about Apaulo thirteen. Just let you know, yep,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I knew that. Thank you for that spoiler alert.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Directed by Ron Howard, it stars Kevin Bacon, of course,
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Tom Hanks, Ed Harris, Bill Paxton, Kathleen Quinlan, and Gary Sonise.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: The film gross approximate one hundred and seventy four point
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: seven million dollars domestically, making it the second highest struction
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: film of nineteen ninety five, and in two thousand and five,
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: the American Film Institute ranked the line Houston, we have

- 1:01:03Speaker 2: charge of the Paul thirteen. I love it at the
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: end of the movie. I don't know if you remember

- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Joey say.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: No it's okay, but Jim Lovell shook his hand. What
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: the real Jim level shook Tom Hanks's hand, which I
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: thought was pretty cool. He was playing like, uh uh
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: an admiral or something on the ship and he's in
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: his uniform and goes up to Tom Hanks. I would
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: love to know if there's a backstory what they said
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: in that exchange in the movie.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I thought that was really cool.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: I love it when, like in Invincible with Mark Wahlberg
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: and Vince Papouli. If you've ever seen that movie, which
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: was unbelievable, there are times when Vince Papouli, the real
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Vince poopaul in the movie with Mark Wahlberg. I just
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: love that kind of stuff.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I guess y'all don't, but okay, I mean it's it's
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: very very cool whatever it is. Go on.

- 1:03:22Speaker 4: nineteen sixty two. Michael was in college. I believe the
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: first Walmart store opens?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Wow? Where in Arkansas? Yep? You' all big fans of Walmart? Eh? Yes? Ye?
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Sam's Club guy, it's too big, I mean yeah, I'm
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: not a Sam's Club guy either. I'm a Costco guy.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I like Costco a lot more.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: That's fair.

- 1:04:33Speaker 1: You a big fan of that? I was. I wouldn't
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: say I'm a big fan, but it was a good movie.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: That was like three or four summers in a row
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: where Will Smith was just in the huge Yeah blockbuster.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: I'm not becoming I've kind of lost my interest in
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: Will Smith, which is.

- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Is that was Will Smith? With Will Smith? He plays
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: a hit man. Yeah, and but he is like his
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: assignment is a hit on himself. Oh really, and it's
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: like a different version of him. Like it's it's a
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: really stupid movie.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: Okay, that sounds pretty pretty bad. This film was directed
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: by Roland Emmerick, starring Jeff Goldbloom, Jeded Hirsch, Robert Loja,
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Mary McDonald, Bill Pullman, Randy Quaid, and of course Will Smith.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Randy Quaid's the greatest. I love that guy. He is
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: so bizarringly funny. He's bizarre, right.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: The film gross approximately three here and six point two
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: million dollars domestically, then get the highest Russian film of

- 1:06:49Speaker 4: parents Didn't want you to see, which I think is
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: a great award.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Well, one thing that you didn't mention it was, was
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: it yesterday? Was mel Brooks is one hundred birthday?
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I was kind of surprised you didn't bring that up.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: And I don't think birthdays per se. I know, but
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: he but yes, that's that's a big deal. Amazing and
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: uh yeah, Spaceballs is coming out next year. Yeah, he's
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: around for it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with that. He's he's not directing it though,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: is he.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Not sure if he has a hand in it, but still, yeah,
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: he's pretty awesome if.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: He's favorite mal Brooks movie. Corey Price, I mean, you
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: gotta go Blaze of Saddles, right really? Yeah?
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: To me, it's History of the World Part one. I
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: mean when he's standing there as Moses and I've got
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: these fifty and then drops one ten commandments.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I mean, I just love that. I mean it's hard.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: I mean, you can go Blaze and Saddles, you can
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: go Young Frankenstein, you can go Spaceballs.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Count the Money, I mean, I mean Dmoe d Money.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: I mean, I just it's just it's just way too
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: funny for me.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: But anyway, Yeah, and starting my Sports movie Month tomorrow?
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: You're starting your what Sports movie Month?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Oh you are?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: So you're gonna be putting that out on Twitter each July?
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: What what was last year's number one?
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: I always finished off Sports Maybe Month with king Pin
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: because I think I.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Think, speaking of Randy Quaid, king Pin is probably the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: funniest sports movie out there. What's the what's like so
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: like sports movie is kind of broad? What's the like
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: most out there sports? Because? I mean, could you would
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you think that? Like? What do you count as a sportsmen?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Are you doing only like hardcore like Coach Carter level
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: sports movies? Or no, have you ever seen King Pin?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: And saying like you could make any film where the
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: sport is throughout the film, Like if if a film
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: has like one scene of football, then obviously I'm not
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: counting as a right sports movie, right If the sport
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: is from start to finish, then I count that sports?
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: So would you Does that make sense? Matthew, I was
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: gonna say, so would you count like Call Ours is
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a sports movie? Oh? That's an animating cart I mean
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: technically it's about racing. Racing is a sport, correct, but uh,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: racing is an activity? What I I guess technically is
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: a sports movie. But I don't. I wouldn't have it
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: on my list to watch this month? Okay, I just
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: wondering where your where your where? Your borline was? Yeah,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: so what's on the list this month? Then?
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: A great question. I haven't done that yet. I tend
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: to wait the last minute. Honestly, I might just copy
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: and paste.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: The one I had. Oh come on, I'm boring, I know.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know there's a real shortage on referees
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: right now. You've heard the commercial, right, which has to
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: do with sports movies? It does, yeah, and of course
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: the ref actors ref well ref movies. I mean, is
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: there any ref movies? Is the Big Lebowski on this list?
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Uh? Wait, that's bowling that, that's right. I don't know.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I was on last year, but it's not. It wasn't
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: on last year, then I would definitely have it on
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: this year. I just had to rewatch that a couple
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of weeks ago. I love that movie. Lovill used to
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: have a festival about the Big I forgot about that.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: You're exactly correct. I don't think it's here anymore, but you.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Know, we lose a lot of things. But anyway, Kingpin
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I think is the best one. I think the uh
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: the best what do you call it when a actor
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: comes in as a just a cameo? The best cameo
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: ever in a movie by an actor is Bill Murray
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: in Kingpin, Big Earl or Big ern that's it.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I wouldn't say Ernie McCracken. I was, Yes, that's my
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: favorite I think that's the best Bill Murray cameo. Well,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: first of all, hold on, we'll talk about that.
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: First of all, I don't think Bill Murray's role in
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: kingmin Is is a cameo.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Oh you don't think so? Okay.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: I think it's enough to where he's he's in it. Okay,
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: fair enough, but I mean he's still awesome in it.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Is it the Fairly Brothers that did that movie?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I believe so. Yes.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: And I think I was just reading not too long
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: ago that they were trying to get the crowd really excited.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: If you remember in this in the portion where he
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: had to do the three strikes in a row and
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: they're trying to get the crowd. Now, this is going
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: to take a while for him to get these strikes,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: but let's go ahead and act like you're really excited.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Have you seen this movie, Matthew? So okay, And the
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: funny part is Bill Murray did three strikes in the
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: row and the crowd was going crazy because it happened
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: three times in a row.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Poor poor Woody. You know, best Bill Burray cameo is
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Zombie Land. I don't think i've seen Tom Land.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Yes, really, now that is a cameo because he's only
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: in there for like one one scene.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: You never seen zombieland Michael, I don't think I've seen hilarious?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Is it really comedy? They show up again. They show
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: up to Hollywood and they're like trying to find a
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: mansion to stay in. Yeah, and Woody Harrelson like, gods,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: we're on We're in nine O two n O. And
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: he finds Bill Murray's house. Really. Yeah. He goes into
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Bill Murray's house in the movie and Bill Murray is
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: pretending to be a zombie to ward off zombies, and
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: they kill him by accident. Oh my god. Like the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: main character gets scared and shoots him. He's like, I
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: was just joking. It was a joke. Yeah, he was like,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: it's okay, it's on me. It's a bad joke. I think.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: One of the funniest cameo is that not many people
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: notice was Jurassic Park. Jimmy Buffett was drinking a margaritea
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: grassic world. Yeah, the first Jurassic World. Yeah, and Jimmy
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Buffett had a little role in that. That's a good one.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Yeah. He had a ball doing that, by the way. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: he's in the movie for little like two seconds. Yeah,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: literally two seconds. That's why you would miss him anyway?
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: You had doing slow motion? All right?
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Anything going on? It's almost July. You got a big
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: weekend planned for July fourth, Corey Price.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: Uh watching our soccer team play to tomorrow night.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Oh okay, hope, got nothing better. It's a pretty big deal. Uh,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: no planes it.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: But I usually go to my sisters house on the
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: fourth to watch fireworks.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: So that's part of you good. You're not gonna blow
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: up cars and stuff, are you. I don't do the
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: fars myself. I let other people do it's watch yeah
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: my video. My days of letting off fireworks are long past. Man,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: that's so sad.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: I don't mind watching them, but I just went.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: The only fireworks he has is just with this young
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: lady down in Elizabethtown.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: So that's all I'm gonna say. Anyway.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Okay, huh, Well she's out there somewhere, Corey. We're gonna
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: find you a girl. DM me if you want to
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: go out with Corey Price. Okay, he's already got a girl.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Want to go out with him? Oh? Really?
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Okay, you just won't do it then? I mean, come on,
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: Corey anyway. All right, Corey Price, have a great fourth
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: of July.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: You have a great fourth July two, And Matt, it's
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: been a pleasure and best of luckdown in Florida.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Well are you doing? Uh? Are you doing what's it
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: called trivia? Later?
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Thursday? Yeah, that's what Okay, I'll be out there on
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: the road. I'll be with you guys. Oh, I know
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: it was a I think that was it was last day?
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Is fried? I think I think KRC is on remote
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: as well, So if not, then must be nice. I
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: wish we did remote. That's news to me.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: People don't want to meet us. Is that what the
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: radio station things? They just don't want to meet us.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: If Pete told me, I don't know. Oh well, we
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: don't need to talk about another radio show on this show. Okay,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: y'all just take this off line. Nobody cares anyway, all right,
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Red Bag, it was my pleasure, all right, Corey Price,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: good having you here.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: We'll see you next year.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: Thank you, Michael Bennett for your top button being buttoned.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Listen, you do this in honor of you.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I mean, I always honor the great Corey Price, because
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: I stop it.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I want to be his friend. That's all.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Hopefully one day I'll be his best friend, and Mark
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Stoops wouldn't be my best friend. Maybe Corey Price will
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: I will okay, good, all right, then we're all take
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: a quick break. Stay right there. We got a little
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: more talk about it, just the cats.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: It's supposed to me something.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: He was working from the door.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: It's not too talking about movies. Have you seen this
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: new Michael Jackson one? No, I haven't. I haven't either.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I really intrigued to go see it either.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: And the funny part is I liked Michael Jackson growing up,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: and I just I don't know, he got so creepy.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: I have no interest either. And it was funny when
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: we were in Idaho this past weekend there was these
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: two young guys that drove up next to us in
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: a convertible and they were cranking up Michael Jackson. And
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: I'm like, God, that's just it's odd to see young
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: people listening to Michael Jackson.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I don't know why that is. Really, I love Michael Jackson.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Do you really? Okay? Good?
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Let me get to a couple more text fible two
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: three four that's the phone line Fible two three eight
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty, fab two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: If Matt doesn't see the point of elections, he should
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: move to China instead of Tampa.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Look, there is important to the elections. I know, there's
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: just nobody in them care for.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Yeah. One person said, greatest recruiter was John Wooden. Greatest
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: strategist Bob Knight.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: He was really great at you know, formulating the correct
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: angle trajectory, got Thellos chair, real geometric mastermind.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that is true. I mean that's the
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: one thing he will go down as as the guy
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: that threw the chair?
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Is that right? If I'm him, I'm happy about it?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Are you real? People are gonna jam me forever? Yeah?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Whether he was a look i've heard he was a
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: pretty bad dude. Wasn't the greatest person the other day?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Stolee chairs out there? We should have probably seen it coming.
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: You talk about legacy, what's Phil Mickleson's legacy going to
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: be like?
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Now? Gambler and and guy who does who invited his
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: best friend's wife to his bedroom after his best friend
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: falls asleep. Look, Phil Nicholson is not a good guy either,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: And I'll think the sad part about it. He's been
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: one of my favorite PGA golfers for a long time.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: I'm talking thirty years. I've always liked Phil Nicholson, and
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: now my impression of him has completely flipped. He's been
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Do you realize he's been kicked out of three clubs?
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Yeah? Do you realize how difficult that has to be?
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: A real question? All right? Do you think, let's say
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: the roles were flipped? Okay, because he and Tiger obviously
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: had a huge rivalry when they were both when you know,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: when Tiger was coming up and he was already in
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: the league and everything. Yep, if Phil Mickelson had the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: career success that Tiger Woods did, do you think he'd
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: be worse off because of the things that he's done
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: versus the things that Tiger has done.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: Well here and a lot of people are saying what
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Phil has done is far worse, and it's like, no, no, no, no,
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: no no, no. Both of them are equally as bad.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I don't think so. Well.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Tiger driving a car under the influence, he could have
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: killed people. He's right, Luckily he's lucky that he didn't.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: You're right, I think they're equally as worse.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: But Phil Micholson is avidly going out there and basically
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: harassing people is the word I'll use. Like, not under
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: the influence, he's just doing it to do it. Yeah,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I still think they're bad. I still think both of
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: them are bad. I think we kind of like don't
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: talk about Philicalson a lot because of how popular Tiger is.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Say that again, like I believe, Like I said, I
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: think if their roles reversed and Phil Micholson was the
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: better golfer, we would be talking about Phil Nicholson a
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: lot more than we do Tiger. Well, I don't know.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: I still think it's getting a lot of attention, and
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: you know Phil Micholson doesn't want to. Is there any
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: chance and that he's already withdrawn out of than what's
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: the US Open? Do you think there's any chance Phil
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Micholson comes back and plays in a golf tournament.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: This season? Probably not?
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: Probably not this season? So you think there's a chance
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: he will play again in a tournament? He'll let it
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: die down and then go out there and play because
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: you know they're gonna be yelling at him, so all
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: kinds of crap. You gotta have money, he observed. Oh boy,
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: it all goes back to the gambling side. I think
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: it's saying on both sides. I think it's sad for
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Phil Micholson what he's done, and I think sad for
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Tiger Woods what he's put himself into. I just think
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: it's terrible and the state of golf has been always
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: relyant on these two players, and your two leaders are
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: now just not really nice people. You say what you want.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I I just no, I mean, I agree.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just really sad. John here, Hey, just the Cats.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: Would it be crazy if the Warriors would be interested
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: in pursuing both Anthony Davis and Lebron James this season
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: to pair with Steph Curry and Draymond Green for the
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: twenty six twenty seventh season. If this happens, you think
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: they would have a chance. I know you guys may
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: not watch much NBA, but I just wanted to know
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: your thoughts. Yes, I saw this. Actually, this is one
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: of my topics for today.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: This is extremely confusing to me because so just yesterday
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: they announced, or I guess Draymond Green announced that he's
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: dropping as his player option. He's going to be a
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: free agent. Yeah, so he's more than likely not coming
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: after the war No, he might. He's doing it specifically
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: for the Warriors. But I'm saying, like there's a there's
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: a chance. Yeah, but there's this whole situation with Anthony
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Davis getting traded to the Wizards. Now he's getting now
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: they're probably gonna tra the Wizards, probably gonna trade him
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to the Warriors, So there's no reason to even go there.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: And the Wizards are gonna get like two first round
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: picks out of him, and they're trying to make a
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: move like he's like, like John said, for Lebron James,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: which Lebron James has been asking to play with Steph
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Curry for the past like six years. Yeah, it should
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: have happened six years ago there, and Steph Curry, I
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: mean he was okay with it back then. It wasn't
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: like huge, Like it wasn't a big deal to him.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I look, I could see if it's like one last hoorah,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: this would just be the dumbest retirement tour ever though. Yeah,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: because if you're gonna do this, okay, Yeah, I'm this
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: is a little bit bias here. I'm a Kevin Durant fan.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I love Kevin Durant. Think he's one of the greatest
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: scores in NBA history. If you're gonna knock Kevin Durant
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: for going to the Warriors to win a championship and
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: play with Steph Curry and Draymond Green and Clay Thompson,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: this is ridiculous. Yeah, you can't get mad at Kevin
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Durant for doing that, but you can say it's okay
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: for Lebron James to take Anthony Davis from another team
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: and go meeting him with Steph Curry, Drummer Green. That's ridiculous.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: I think one of the funniest tweets I saw yesterday
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: on Twitter was a picture of all four of those players,
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: Dramond Green, Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, and Lebron James, and
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: then the caption was is there anything that can stop this?
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: And then somebody tweeted back out and said arthritis.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Yeah, sciatica. I love that. I thought that was one
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: of the funniest I've ever seen because it's like, wait
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: a minute, man, these players are really getting old, and
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you're telling me you think this is gonna be the Listen.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I'll admit it ten years ago, maybe even you said
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: six years I'm gonna probably say Okay, I agree. Six
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: years ago that would be a force to be reckoned
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: with today, I just don't see this. I mean, it's
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: gonna be who's who on this team, But can they
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: really play the amount of games that they're gonna be
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: required to play? And then on top of it, I'll
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: make it through the playoffs and make it through an
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: NBA championship. I just don't see it being successful, do you?
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Am I wild to think that? I mean, it can be.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: We saw a bunch of these players play together at
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: the Olympics a couple of years ago and it worked.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: That was two years ago, though. Yeah. But the thing,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: like you said, it's about staying healthy. Steph Curry hasn't
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: really been healthy the last two seasons. Lebron James crazily
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: has been the healthiest of all these guys, and he
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: hasn't even more than Draymond Green. I mean, Draymond Green
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: is the exception here. He's just not great anymore. Like
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: he just can't score. He average like two points a game.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I guess he's a defensive his whole thing is defense,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: but he's out of his prime. It's a bunch of
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: guys who, yes, as a team, I think they could
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: still technically get it done. But you're right, it's about
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: and they all stay healthy. Can they all stay together?
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I don't live they can't.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: I don't know if they can either. I don't know
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: if you saw this or not, but Lebron James autograph
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: calves card. Did you see how much that sold for
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: it an auction? Two point nine eight million dollars. There's
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: not a card out there I would ever pay more
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: than one hundred dollars for. I can't imagine paying two
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: point nine eight million dollars for an autograph calves card
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: of Lebron James.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: What are the Oh gosh, do you remember it was
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a big story. There's a Netflix talking here about about
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: the two brothers that like killed their parents or whatever
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: for their money. Oh yeah, do you know who they are? Yeah?
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: And they're trying to get there. They're trying to get
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: out from jail right now, aren't they?
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: What names?
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: I can't think exactly who you're talking about. I can't
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: think of it. But go ahead, Well, there's a they
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: gotta take a break so.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: You can look it up real quick. Okay, I'll look
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: it up. Yeah, just do that. Let's take a break.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: We'll get back to your text in five or two
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: four one for fourteen fifty, and then we'll figure out
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: what you're talking about, because I know exactly and I can't.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: You're asking me names? Are you kidding me? You know
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: me better than that. I got um button, the top button.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: I do this an honor recory, but man, I don't
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: like wearing a top button. So all right, we'll take
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: our last break. Stay right there. One more segment of
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Just the Cats. Did you see where Ed Scherene and
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Martin Garrick's crashed apart a wedding up in uh Chicago?
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Ed sheeran Ed Serene, Yeah, you don't like the way
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: I say his name? I know Ed Sharon. Uh No,
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: I did not see this. Yeah, that's one of those things.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: If if if I had that kind of talent and fame,
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: I would probably do that all the time.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: To me, that would be fun.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but you better make certain that the wedding, the
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: wedding party likes your music too, or you think it
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: doesn't matter if if, even if they didn't like your music,
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: and you're a famous celebrity and you go out there
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: and have fun at their wedding, you think that would
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: be Okay, yeah you would. I would love to do
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: something like that. I'm afraid I would do it all
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: the time.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Though. I also looked up with the people also try
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: and find out. Yeah, and it was it's the Menendez brothers. Ah,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: that's it at Menendez brother You were talking about the
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Lebron James card. The reason I brought this up is
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: because did you know I saw this before? Do you
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: remember Mark Jackson played for the Knicks back in the nineties,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: Oh definitely. Yeah. Didn't he play for Georgetown? I believe so. Yeah,
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: it could be wrong on that, but yeah, there is
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: a famous Mark Jackson basketball card, okay, where the Menendez
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: brothers are in the card. What and you can buy it.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: It's like, really, it's not it's worth a decent amount
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: of money because it's right before they were like caught
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: during everything. Oh wow, it's a picture of him like
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: taking it. You can look it up. It's a picture
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: of Mark Jackson taking a jump shot. Yeah, and they're
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: sitting courtside, like directly behind him. They're like the like
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: the only people you can see in the picture besides him. Yeah,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: and it's just a funny looking basketball card. Wow. Okay,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I've never heard that. Uh.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: One person texted and said, Major League. Of the sports
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: movies that are great, Major League, Bull, Durham, Kingpin, the
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: replacements are great comedy sports movies. Oh and Caddy Shack.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Caddy Shack is probably one of my all time favorite
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: movies of Uh, it doesn't matter what it is. I
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: love Caddy Shack and Bill Murray and Caddy Shack. That
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: might be his funniest role. And I know he's got
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: a lot of funny roles out there because I did
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: love Kingpin. That's one of those movies my wife just
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: can't stand. And uh, but yeah, I enjoy those. Stan
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: Lee had cameos in all the Spider Man movies until
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: his passing.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Well it was all the Marvel all the Marvel movies.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: Was he really, Yeah, he was in every one of them.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Corey just remembers what Mick told Rocky women weaken legs. Uh.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: Phil Mickleson takes uh just takes make Uh. Phil Mickelson
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: just make sure he's always in a forceome on and
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: off the golf course.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, oh boy, it's the way to do something. Uh.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Cal Perry said on The Dan Patrick Show a couple
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: of weeks ago that he tried to recruit uh, Jalen
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: Brunson to UK, but opted to choose Tyler Eulis instead.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I don't remember that really. What would that have done
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: to UK? I don't know. I mean Jalen Brunson was good,
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: but he wasn't like what he is now.
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: Back Tyler Eulis. I mean, we'll always remember Tyler Eulis.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: I loved him. He was one of my favorite players.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: One person, Hey, Michael, we had that bet about most
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: wins steak versus seafood. Looks like this will take years.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Want to just grab dinner? Sure, whatever you need. I mean,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: my goodness, it is going to take for years.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: By the way.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: One person's local John said, John here again it was
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: Lyle and Eric Menindaz there you go, ak Meninda's brothers.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I used to have the Mark Jackson nineteen ninety ninety
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: one NBA Hoops card with them in the in the background.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: I will get the card again soon. How do you
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: like that? So he had it? John had it in Evansville.
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: It's a crazy card, that is wild. I had never
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: heard that before. Okay.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: When Katie joined the Warriors, he and Curry were both
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: in the prime of their careers. Bron Curry and eighty
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: are not in the prime of their careers. Do better Doormat.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: But he's going there to win another championship. He's not
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: going to win another A champions But he's not going
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: there to be friends. Like, he's not going there for
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: an apartment, like, he's not going there for the He's
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: going there to try and win. That's the same exact thing.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well it's not going to happen. I'm afraid
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: he's just getting people that are too old and aren't
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: going to succeed at this.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: Dude just needs to retire, Yeah he does. I mean
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: it's just like, okay, he's just doing everything for attention.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: Now you think that's what it is. He did the
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: whole spiel. He's like, I don't want to retirement tour.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: I don't want this. I want yes you do, Yes
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: you do. I'm tired of it. Move on, Brouh, I Bro,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: move on, brouh. Okay, move on, Bro. Where where does
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: BRA come from? Why do you go from brother to bro?
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: Now we're at BRA. I mean, it sounds like when
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: they say when guys say that it sounds like they're
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: saying bra.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: It's like, why are you saying that? I don't get
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: the whole BRA thing. Uh did you see that catch
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: by Mets or no? No, no, no, no wait wait wait
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: did you see the Mets last night? Left fielder Juan Soto. No,
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: I was watching soccer, you were, okay, I wasn't watching
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: the dead Mets team boy, he totally missed a fly ball.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: Then the center fielder Aja Ewing came over to try
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: and grab it with his glove and slaps it even
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: further away, which allowed Blue Jays designated hitter George Springer
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: to get a inside the park home run.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: Look, hold on, three.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: Hundred and fifty two million dollars is what the Mets
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: is spent on roster the Mets.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: The Mets just need to absolutely implode that organization. I
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: couldn't agree more. I have never in my life understood
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: how you can be probably arguably the wealthiest organization in
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: the sport. But if you take out the Dodgers, yeah,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: and just be app I mean not even bad, just terrible,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: like they are not good, Like I don't even know,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: I don't know where the sunny is going. I do
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: not understand it. It is an absolute anomaly to sports.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: I couldn't there is I don't know. You need to
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: get rid of the ownership. You need to get rid
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: of the players, you need to get rid of the coaching.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: You need to completely start over, make a make a
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: new brand, make a new name because something. The Mets
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: are cursed. You need to move on.
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but I looked at that and I was like,
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: how do you miss that fly ball out there? He
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: just kind of I hate say half asked, but that's
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: basically what he did. And then you got the center
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: fielder Springer coming over there and just totally missing it,
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: and as ar you ing, I'm sorry, Springer is the
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: one with a home run. But it was crazy. And then, uh,
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: scary scary minute last night when U centerfielder for the Reds,
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: Dane Myers, went to catch a Brewer's hit. Incredible catch,
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: but then uh, Myers goes into the wall out there
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: in center field and falls down. Thank goodness, they x
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: ray him there at the stadium. Didn't have any broken bones,
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: but you could tell he was an immense pain out
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: there in Milwaukee, and so they took him to a
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: local hospital. Hopefully he's gonna be okay. So it's just
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: it's just like, oh, man, come on. But that that
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: was a scary minute as well. But let's talk about
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: who made the better deal. Grizzlies are the Trailblazers, as
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: John Morant is now going out to Portland. To me,
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: that was kind of a much needed separation. I mean,
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: he's been there seven years. I feel like the Grizzlies
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: got the better deal because John Morant is kind of
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: on the downward hill of his career in the NBA.
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Am I wrong about that?
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I don't think in terms of like ability, but in
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: terms of like his mental state and what he's doing
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: out there. Yes, he is on the downward turn. He
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: can still turn around. But I mean you've seen Semi
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: pro correct. Oh. I love that movie.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: They literally we've talked about Woody Harrelson a lot today.
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: By the way we did.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: He was in that. They literally trade a job Morant
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: for a washing machine and a dryer. Oh really, So
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: Jeremy Brandton and Chris Murray, Yeah, like they're they're good players,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: but they didn't get any draft picks for him, They
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: didn't get any cash deals, they didn't get anything. If
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: you would have done this trade three seasons ago. This
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: would be like two first round picks minimum, and they
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: got almost nothing for this guy, and I can't and
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Portland is just like, let's hope we can bring him
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: here and he can be rehabilitated. Portland is, Yeah, I
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: don't know who. I guess Memphis won this just because
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: they got rid of John Morant. I don't know.
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: I don't know, but all right, tomorrow, Uh, listen, if
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: you listen to this show tomorrow, you need to be
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: with us. Okay, I'm just telling you right now, we
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: are going to be introducing our new producer for Just
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: the Cats. I think I think a lot of you
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: are going to like this person. In fact, I guarantee
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: you you're gonna like this person.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: It's Mitt Jones. Huh, it's Matt Jones. He's producing.
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: Why are you saying that? Don't say something like that.
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: It's not country, but you're gonna love Who is going
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: to be joining Justin Kats as the new producer.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: He will be joining us tomorrow for a few minutes
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: via telephone, even though we don't do that much, but
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: we're gonna do it. So anyway, we'll see you tomorrow
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: everybody have a great day.
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: Sometimes you turned your back to the wind. If there's
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: a world outside, every duck in the doors, won't you
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: any more? For the brave Aubrey and the versort mock
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: me to the distance, or brea
