- 1:54- Thank you, David and Tricia, for being here
- 1:56- today, and I'll now turn the floor over
- 1:57- to David to get us started.
- 2:00- Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. Today,
- 2:03- we're going to be discussing a very vital
- 2:05- but often overlooked strategic capability
- 2:08- of group performance reporting.
- 2:10- We're going to explore how health plans today
- 2:13- can leverage technology
- 2:14- and tools
- 2:15- to turn their employer group reporting into a
- 2:18- competitive edge.
- 2:20- First off, I'd like to thank Becker's for
- 2:21- hosting this discussion and for my special co
- 2:24- presenter, Tricia Gray from Highmark.
- 2:26- Okay. Let's go ahead and get into it.
- 2:30- Static reports today still serve a very important
- 2:33- purpose,
- 2:34- but employer expectations are moving beyond those static
- 2:38- reports
- 2:39- and into more of a projection as to
- 2:41- what is going to happen or what is
- 2:43- starting to happen.
- 2:45- Basically, what they need is reporting to help
- 2:47- them manage their business in a proactive manner.
- 2:51- And this means doing three things extremely well.
- 2:54- First, it means helping control the costs by
- 2:57- identifying those emerging costs and utilization
- 3:00- patterns early enough
- 3:01- to respond before they become a surprise during
- 3:04- a renewal conversation.
- 3:06- Second,
- 3:07- helping to improve those outcomes by connecting the
- 3:10- utilization
- 3:11- and program data.
- 3:13- So employer groups can start to see where
- 3:15- earlier interventions
- 3:17- may make a difference in the overall impact
- 3:19- of the program upon the population.
- 3:22- And third,
- 3:23- helping guide those decisions.
- 3:25- Employers don't simply need more data. There's plenty
- 3:27- of data out there right now in healthcare,
- 3:30- But what they need is a clear understanding
- 3:32- of what deserves their attention and what actions
- 3:35- they should be considering next.
- 3:37- And that is basically the shift that we
- 3:39- are designing towards with Medi analytics,
- 3:42- with our dynamic reporting capabilities.
- 3:44- How do we help health plans create a
- 3:46- more timely,
- 3:47- more relevant and decision orientated
- 3:50- conversation with their employer groups?
- 3:53- Reporting earns attention when it answers three very
- 3:56- important questions.
- 3:57- What is changing?
- 3:59- Why does it matter? And what should I
- 4:01- be doing next?
- 4:02- So the real question is, how does media
- 4:04- analytics help give health plans that reporting experience
- 4:07- to keep pace with those customer expectations?
- 4:13- Go ahead. Next slide. Thank you.
- 4:15- So those three questions, what's changing, what matters,
- 4:18- and what to do next can only be
- 4:20- answered when we connect the data behind them.
- 4:22- And this is one of the most problematic
- 4:24- areas in health care because we have so
- 4:25- much data in various different silos.
- 4:29- Different types of data can be used in
- 4:31- different ways. First off is cost data, and
- 4:34- that data helps tell us what is changing
- 4:36- and what is the financial magnitude of that
- 4:39- change.
- 4:40- Utilization data helps us to explain what is
- 4:43- driving that actual change and whether those patterns
- 4:46- can be avoidable
- 4:47- or are they shifting and we need to
- 4:50- adjust our interventions accordingly?
- 4:52- Or quite frankly, are there new trends that
- 4:54- are starting to evolve that we need to
- 4:56- start paying more attention to than we did
- 4:57- historically?
- 4:59- Third is the outcomes.
- 5:01- We show whether those interventions are actually making
- 5:03- a difference for the members.
- 5:05- Engagement data around those individual programs helps us
- 5:09- understand whether people are reaching
- 5:11- and participating in the programs that are intended
- 5:14- to support them.
- 5:15- And most importantly,
- 5:17- is that program having the intended impact?
- 5:20- So individually, each one of those measures provides
- 5:23- useful information, but the true real value
- 5:26- comes from understanding the relationships among them. So,
- 5:29- for example,
- 5:31- an increase in cost becomes actionable when we
- 5:34- can connect it to the utilization pattern,
- 5:37- understand which population is being affected
- 5:40- and determine whether the right programs are reaching
- 5:43- those members.
- 5:44- So taken together, those connected insights help frame
- 5:47- that next best action decision for the employer.
- 5:51- That unified view moves the conversation beyond fragmented
- 5:55- metrics
- 5:56- that really don't tell much of a story
- 5:58- and are kind of hard to piece together
- 6:00- and gives the employer, I'm sorry, gives the
- 6:03- health plan and employer group a clearer story
- 6:06- about what is happening,
- 6:07- why it's happening and what they should focus
- 6:09- on next.
- 6:11- So when we connect those measures,
- 6:13- reporting becomes more than a record of performance.
- 6:17- It truly becomes a clear path to action.
- 6:21- Okay, now we kind of have that basis
- 6:23- of reporting and why it's important and kinda
- 6:25- how it's evolving over time. I'd like to
- 6:28- reintroduce Trisha.
- 6:30- Trisha is the vice president of sales enablement
- 6:32- for Highmark. She's gonna share a little bit
- 6:34- about Highmark with you and some real world
- 6:36- examples,
- 6:37- tools, and techniques
- 6:39- that they use to help turn employer group
- 6:41- reporting
- 6:42- into a competitive edge for Highmark.
- 6:44- So welcome, Tricia.
- 6:46- Thanks, David. Excited to be here with everyone
- 6:49- today. So a little bit about Highmark as
- 6:51- David had mentioned. We're head quartered in Pittsburgh,
- 6:54- Pennsylvania
- 6:55- with origins tracing back to the nineteen thirties,
- 6:58- one of the largest
- 7:00- health insurers in The United States providing comprehensive
- 7:03- coverage across commercial,
- 7:05- Medicare, Medicaid,
- 7:06- individual markets, and other ancillary lines of business.
- 7:11- Looking at the numbers in 2025,
- 7:13- we served approximately
- 7:15- 8,000,000 plan members across our footprint and the
- 7:18- geographies that we serve,
- 7:20- supported by over 32,000,000,000
- 7:22- in operating revenue,
- 7:24- 44,000
- 7:25- employees strong, and our mission remains at the
- 7:28- heart of everything we do, creating a remarkable
- 7:31- health experience that frees people to be their
- 7:33- best.
- 7:35- Now let's dive into the the analytics and
- 7:38- commercial base. So when it comes to growing
- 7:40- and engaging our commercial national accounts, our approach
- 7:44- is centered on delivering a simpler, more personalized,
- 7:47- and proactive health care experience for our valued
- 7:50- clients.
- 7:51- We do this by integrating data insights
- 7:54- directly with strategic action.
- 7:56- We've established a robust and data analytics foundation
- 8:00- to support next best action recommendations
- 8:03- for our clients.
- 8:04- Our four key focus areas of focus are
- 8:07- unified data,
- 8:08- AI, and predictive analytics, which is critical, not
- 8:12- just saying what happened, but talking about the
- 8:14- future,
- 8:15- personalized
- 8:16- member engagement to really deliver on the value,
- 8:20- and, of course, continuous product innovation with our
- 8:23- amazing product team.
- 8:25- If we go into the next slide, it
- 8:27- talks a little bit about the history
- 8:29- around our commercial client analytics strategy.
- 8:32- And it began with a deliberate partnership decision
- 8:35- just back before COVID with a robust RFP
- 8:38- process.
- 8:39- We intentionally looked beyond basic technology and feature
- 8:43- fit to find long term strategic alignment,
- 8:46- prioritizing
- 8:47- ease of use,
- 8:48- lower friction for internal teams and external users,
- 8:51- flexibility,
- 8:54- being adaptable as priorities and products evolve,
- 8:57- configurability,
- 8:59- supporting our specific workflows that we use to
- 9:02- enable
- 9:03- the client delivery
- 9:05- and client exposure, extending value beyond the internal
- 9:09- users with the self-service platform.
- 9:12- So in 2020, Highmark launched the living health
- 9:14- strategy.
- 9:15- And so strategic alignment was also critical.
- 9:19- So to support the strategy and exceed client
- 9:22- expectations,
- 9:23- we needed an external reporting platform that grew
- 9:26- with us.
- 9:27- And so today,
- 9:29- as we selected MediAnalytics
- 9:31- and expanding that foundation to support new markets
- 9:34- and innovative solutions
- 9:35- that are aligned to our living health strategy.
- 9:39- And so if we go to the next
- 9:41- slide diving a little bit deeper into the
- 9:43- employer reporting to action,
- 9:45- our guiding philosophy here is the goal of
- 9:48- reporting is not just simply more reports. As
- 9:50- David mentioned, right, there's a lot of data,
- 9:53- but it's really driving an accelerated path from
- 9:56- insight to intervention.
- 9:58- Employer groups today expect far more than static
- 10:01- retrospective reporting package delivered on a regular cadence.
- 10:06- Our team follows a four step framework with
- 10:08- respect to our strategic client analytics. Of course,
- 10:11- first, it starts with unifying all the data
- 10:14- sources.
- 10:15- And then from those insights,
- 10:16- we look to detect emerging risks earlier,
- 10:20- explain the underlying drivers and impacts
- 10:22- with different views and drill downs, so that's
- 10:25- the configurability within the platform, platform, and then
- 10:28- recommending strategies and solutions
- 10:30- that will drive meaningful impact for clients.
- 10:33- Through this model,
- 10:35- our commercial accounts team truly shifts from being
- 10:38- traditional reporting providers
- 10:40- to becoming trusted performance strategy
- 10:43- advisors.
- 10:44- And so let's go a little bit deeper
- 10:45- into that. So here on the next slide,
- 10:48- you can see a snapshot of the platform
- 10:50- in action,
- 10:52- specifically highlighting predictive high utilizer summaries
- 10:55- and member classifications.
- 10:57- Here, the real value lies in combining repeatable
- 11:01- core capabilities
- 11:02- with the flexibility
- 11:03- and configurability
- 11:05- to meet distinct client needs,
- 11:07- offering interactive
- 11:08- reporting where we can generate multiple views and
- 11:11- breakdowns,
- 11:12- risk assessments,
- 11:14- cohort analysis,
- 11:15- predictive intelligence to be more forward looking, and
- 11:19- ongoing monitoring all in one place.
- 11:22- And so this really allows for a cohesive
- 11:25- end to end viewpoint
- 11:27- around our analytics platform.
- 11:30- So if we go into a couple of
- 11:31- examples here on the next slide. So we'll
- 11:34- look at this in practice.
- 11:36- When musculoskeletal
- 11:37- care was identified as a major cost driver,
- 11:40- and actually it was the number two cost
- 11:42- driver for this employer group, our reporting platform
- 11:46- allowed us to quickly pinpoint the opportunity
- 11:49- by analyzing more than just the musculoskeletal
- 11:52- driver.
- 11:53- We also looked at telemedicine
- 11:55- engagement,
- 11:56- segmenting trends by demographics.
- 11:59- From there, the account team recommended a targeted
- 12:02- virtual MSK program
- 12:04- supporting pain management, spine, and joint care.
- 12:08- But we don't just stop there. We also
- 12:10- need to focus on measuring the impact value
- 12:13- and outcomes,
- 12:14- which is lower procedure cost, fewer complications,
- 12:18- reduced missed workdays.
- 12:20- And the dashboard on the next slide illustrates
- 12:22- the exact diagnostic and demographic
- 12:25- views our team uses to drive these conversations
- 12:28- with clients.
- 12:30- So as mentioned on the previous slide, the
- 12:32- client had a high telemedicine engagement,
- 12:35- annual increases year over year. And with the
- 12:37- musculoskeletal
- 12:38- being the number two cost driver, recommended the
- 12:42- virtual joint health program, which has proven ROI
- 12:46- with reduced costs, improved outcomes for the members.
- 12:49- We're looking at year over year trends and
- 12:51- percentage of total spend.
- 12:54- But also critical is focusing on that member
- 12:56- experience.
- 12:57- And so that means drilling deeper into the
- 12:59- data with demographic information,
- 13:02- employees, spouse,
- 13:04- dependents, gender locations,
- 13:06- and aligning those trends with comparative norms across
- 13:09- the client base
- 13:11- and using our analytics platform to model up
- 13:14- targeted savings and ROI.
- 13:16- Our solution with MSK works for several categories
- 13:20- at any point in the journey, and it's
- 13:22- more than just the claims reporting.
- 13:24- We focus on reporting and solutions that drive
- 13:27- engagement,
- 13:28- member satisfaction,
- 13:30- things like completion rate, ease of use, and
- 13:32- much more.
- 13:35- And our second example,
- 13:37- we've tackled rising spend
- 13:40- and high cost claim utilization for an employer
- 13:42- group. By analyzing financial and diagnostic trends against
- 13:46- the benchmark data, we identified areas for expanded
- 13:50- utilization management and targeted case management.
- 13:53- And I'll get to the next slide in
- 13:55- a second, which will show the cost and
- 13:57- utilization driver dashboard tracking PMPM trends by service
- 14:01- category,
- 14:02- product,
- 14:03- comparing product condition benchmarks across national averages.
- 14:07- This allows us to accurately project net savings
- 14:10- and demonstrate clear ROI to the clients.
- 14:14- Solutions here that focus on addressing the most
- 14:16- prevalent chronic conditions,
- 14:19- offering a variety of solutions,
- 14:21- digital and telephonic.
- 14:22- These things include comprehensive case management,
- 14:25- condition management, virtual care, workforce support, and other
- 14:30- solutions that surround it holistically.
- 14:32- Members get the right care in the right
- 14:34- setting at the right time. And so focusing
- 14:37- on the member experience, as I referenced earlier,
- 14:40- in addition to the outcomes
- 14:42- and strong clinical support and advanced technology
- 14:46- platform truly is a differentiator within the marketplace.
- 14:50- And so if we go to the next
- 14:52- slide, you can see some of the breakouts
- 14:54- specifically
- 14:55- that we use to talk to our clients
- 14:58- around the reporting and trends. And so recommending
- 15:01- the additional programs
- 15:03- to proactively manage those health care costs while
- 15:06- maintaining high quality patient care
- 15:08- and covering all spectrum of the health journey,
- 15:11- inpatient,
- 15:12- outpatient, specialized UN, imaging, musculoskeletal
- 15:16- labs, oncology, and much more, creating a broad
- 15:19- spectrum of support for employees.
- 15:22- And, again, we can break down the client
- 15:25- demographic information,
- 15:27- compare prior periods to current, and that's from
- 15:30- an enrollment perspective, financial,
- 15:32- different diagnostic categories,
- 15:34- looking at current trends and norms, but also
- 15:37- taking it a step further using the robust
- 15:40- analytics platform,
- 15:41- identifying
- 15:42- PCP attribution,
- 15:44- sites of care for urgent situations in telehealth,
- 15:47- again, bringing a holistic
- 15:49- three sixty view to our analytics
- 15:52- suite. And so we look at when and
- 15:53- where care is received by day, time, age
- 15:57- band, gender, location, and much more.
- 16:00- And trending over a long look back period,
- 16:03- so the technology and the platform gets smarter
- 16:05- as we evolve and aligning to those benchmarks,
- 16:08- risk scores, nonuser rates, condition prevalence, chronic conditions,
- 16:13- all of that coming together so we can
- 16:15- give a complete view to the employer
- 16:17- around their trends, the outcomes, and where reporting's
- 16:21- looking to go.
- 16:23- And so if we go into the next
- 16:24- slide, I I wanna give a little bit
- 16:26- of a framework and background
- 16:28- around the analytics platform and tying it into
- 16:31- the Highmark strategy.
- 16:32- And so our commercial client analytics capabilities
- 16:35- tied directly into Highmark's
- 16:38- living health vision,
- 16:39- which is a connected health care operating model
- 16:42- powered by trusted data and actionable intelligence.
- 16:46- We're reinventing in how we deliver the fundamentals
- 16:49- by improving health,
- 16:50- lowering cost, and simplifying the experience.
- 16:54- And living health begins upstream,
- 16:56- meaning we don't wait for members to get
- 16:59- sick.
- 17:00- We engage way before
- 17:02- to help
- 17:03- on their journey to health, and that starts
- 17:06- with analytics.
- 17:07- Engaging people to improve their health proactively,
- 17:10- staying healthy before they get sick creates long
- 17:13- term sustainability.
- 17:15- Living health presents a fundamental shift in health
- 17:18- care, moving beyond traditional approaches
- 17:21- to deliver a transformed experience.
- 17:23- It's a new way for people to interact
- 17:25- with Highmark, offering better health,
- 17:28- a personalized experience, and lower cost. So with
- 17:31- living health, we focus on
- 17:34- making it simplified,
- 17:35- cutting out what's getting in the way,
- 17:37- being proactive,
- 17:39- engaging members early and often with our analytics,
- 17:43- personalization,
- 17:44- building around a member's full health needs,
- 17:47- and blended,
- 17:48- working with community and partner relationships and partnerships
- 17:52- to deliver value.
- 17:54- And so as we transition to the next
- 17:55- slide, this is achieved by building a strong
- 17:58- data foundation,
- 18:00- partnering with providers to deliver personalized care solutions.
- 18:04- And so our living health approach allows us
- 18:06- to enable members to know the next best
- 18:09- action and have it served to them with
- 18:11- their needs and preferences in mind.
- 18:14- Reducing health plan costs for employers
- 18:17- by using data to partner with providers on
- 18:19- the right care team for each individual member
- 18:22- without redundancy and duplication
- 18:25- and continuing to offer and innovate with new
- 18:28- products and solutions
- 18:29- based upon the findings. So getting smarter with
- 18:32- the data each and every day.
- 18:34- Living health mitigates complexity
- 18:36- by leveraging easy to use digital platforms,
- 18:39- integrated care teams, and adaptable health solutions.
- 18:44- Our model helps improve overall health
- 18:47- by empowering
- 18:48- the client's employees to become more engaged in
- 18:50- their own care.
- 18:52- Our integrated portfolio of services
- 18:54- makes it easy for clients' employees
- 18:57- to access tailored solutions that meet their needs
- 19:00- and cover of wide variety of the spectrum.
- 19:04- The musculoskeletal,
- 19:05- as I mentioned,
- 19:06- diabetes,
- 19:07- personalized digital health management,
- 19:09- virtual physical care, mental well-being,
- 19:13- virtual health
- 19:14- solutions that extend beyond into primary care, dermatology,
- 19:19- women's health, and more.
- 19:22- And so as we go into the next
- 19:24- slide, let's talk a little bit more, about
- 19:27- where many analytics comes in to support living
- 19:30- health. They've been critical to our commercial client
- 19:33- success and our vision. With our reporting platform,
- 19:36- Highmark can provide a unified performance view
- 19:39- across cost, utilization,
- 19:42- and risk,
- 19:43- helping us predict and prioritize
- 19:45- opportunities like high cost claimants,
- 19:49- specialty pharmacy spend, and turn those insights into
- 19:52- action through configurable
- 19:54- dashboards and conversational
- 19:55- AI
- 19:56- that ultimately builds
- 19:58- trust with the client, strengthens renewals, and supports
- 20:01- long term growth.
- 20:03- And so the value in measurement
- 20:05- is really demonstrated
- 20:07- by tracking emerging risks,
- 20:10- measuring reductions and unnecessary utilization,
- 20:13- evaluating
- 20:14- the performance of the clinical and wellness programs,
- 20:18- and the employee engagement
- 20:20- along with employer specific outcomes.
- 20:22- But I'll let David chime back in here
- 20:25- to talk a little bit about the the
- 20:27- tech and the support with MediAnalytics.
- 20:30- Yeah. I think this is one of the
- 20:32- things that's very interesting and very,
- 20:35- exciting from my perspective is how do we
- 20:37- go about working with clients and doing codevelopment,
- 20:41- and starting to help them explore where they
- 20:43- have new opportunities.
- 20:44- So a lot of this is just simply
- 20:46- listening to clients and and talking about
- 20:49- where do they see emerging trends, what types
- 20:51- of,
- 20:52- things are they hearing about in the market,
- 20:54- where do they have more of an enterprise
- 20:56- strategy,
- 20:57- focusing their interventions and their resources.
- 21:00- So being able to understand those business priorities,
- 21:03- extremely critical and understanding those market market signals
- 21:07- and combining them together is key.
- 21:09- Once you do that, in order to truly
- 21:12- understand the impact that you have, you have
- 21:13- to understand what your baseline is. So what's
- 21:15- going on today?
- 21:17- Using that as your foundation
- 21:19- to both identify where do you need to
- 21:21- have an intervention and what types of interventions
- 21:23- make the most sense.
- 21:25- Once you have that baseline and a plan
- 21:27- in place, then you can start to capture
- 21:29- that value by the new program that is
- 21:32- being, you know, designed.
- 21:34- So as an example, you heard Tricia mentioned,
- 21:37- high utilizers.
- 21:38- It's very easy to go and look at
- 21:40- a a large cohort to say anybody over
- 21:42- a certain dollar threshold is a high utilizer.
- 21:46- But in reality, that cohort has many different
- 21:48- categories of users
- 21:50- or members, if you will, within that cohort.
- 21:54- And those categories
- 21:55- can help you understand how do you intervene
- 21:58- and support
- 21:59- those individuals.
- 22:01- So you might have some very high cost
- 22:03- individuals
- 22:04- that unfortunately, you have a very limited amount
- 22:07- of influence on anymore.
- 22:09- On that same time at that same side
- 22:10- on the kind of the flip the coin
- 22:12- over, you could have some individuals that are
- 22:15- starting to elevate their overall spend that you
- 22:17- have a large degree
- 22:19- of control or influence over. And so how
- 22:22- you approach us each one of those groups,
- 22:25- can be built into how you go about
- 22:27- designing that overall program and how that partnership
- 22:30- is set up based upon the overall operations
- 22:32- of that particular health plan. So just a
- 22:34- couple of different examples of how, you know,
- 22:37- we as many analytics work with Highmark and
- 22:39- our other clients to help identify those opportunities
- 22:41- and then co development
- 22:43- around those particular ways of taking that actionable
- 22:46- data and turning it into a viable intervention
- 22:49- and then measuring it over time.
- 22:51- So I'll hand it back to you, Chris.
- 22:53- Yeah. Thanks, David. It really allows us to
- 22:55- focus on that role of strategic adviser.
- 22:58- You know, having regular business reviews, settings time
- 23:01- aside for strategy,
- 23:03- and then, you know, making those strategies
- 23:06- configurable
- 23:07- and developing niche solutions for our employer populations.
- 23:11- And partnering with employers on member engagement was
- 23:14- critical. And so being able to bring all
- 23:16- of that reporting together, as I mentioned earlier,
- 23:19- beyond claims.
- 23:20- And so that means aligning our outreach strategies
- 23:23- with their specific needs.
- 23:25- We also offer client advising services and configurable
- 23:29- employer
- 23:30- materials
- 23:31- and opportunity assessments with case studies
- 23:33- in, that are led by our product strategy
- 23:36- teams.
- 23:37- And so, you know, the the partnership,
- 23:39- you know, whether it's with the the client
- 23:41- or through our partnership with METI,
- 23:44- really helps us
- 23:46- go beyond annual reviews and really make it
- 23:49- a strategic reporting conversation.
- 23:52- But the proof of that is in the
- 23:54- data. So if we go to the next
- 23:56- slide, we can talk about the measurable results.
- 23:59- And so happy to report we have a
- 24:01- strong client retention
- 24:03- with over 90%.
- 24:05- Strong market confidence demonstrated
- 24:08- through different advisory forward
- 24:11- advisory board feedback
- 24:13- and broader application of the platform
- 24:15- into areas like group Medicare Advantage.
- 24:18- And then support of Highmark overall in our
- 24:21- expansion
- 24:22- into other strategic markets.
- 24:24- But the broker client and consultant feedback are
- 24:27- critical to our success.
- 24:28- And with leadership from our product and commercial
- 24:31- sales teams, in addition with our partnership with
- 24:34- Manning and Analytics,
- 24:35- we continue to invest,
- 24:37- innovate, and track value on a continuous
- 24:40- loop that helps us be at the forefront.
- 24:44- And so if we bring it all together
- 24:46- on the next slide and looking ahead, we're
- 24:48- incredibly excited about the future of accelerating
- 24:51- insight to action.
- 24:53- We continue to invest in agentic
- 24:56- AI to get from questions to trusted insights
- 24:59- faster,
- 25:00- continually enhancing our predictive capabilities to anticipate risks
- 25:04- before they escalate,
- 25:06- deploying dynamic self-service insights that empower our clients
- 25:09- even further,
- 25:10- and, of course, always showing the outcome and
- 25:13- the values. And our guiding principles really drive
- 25:16- that. Listening, learning,
- 25:19- making sure we're engaging the right stakeholders through
- 25:21- our forums,
- 25:23- being proactive,
- 25:24- not being afraid to try new things, and
- 25:26- then, of course, measurement and refinement.
- 25:29- But I'll let David go a little bit
- 25:31- deeper as to how we do that together
- 25:32- and the collaboration
- 25:34- model that we built.
- 25:35- Yeah. I thanks, Trisha. I I think the
- 25:38- first and obvious thing is the platform.
- 25:40- You know, I've I've mentioned a couple of
- 25:42- different times during this discussion that there's enough
- 25:44- data within health care.
- 25:46- We don't necessarily need more. We need it
- 25:48- organized and we need it synthesized.
- 25:51- And so having that flexible platform, which is
- 25:54- one of the hallmarks of METI is our
- 25:56- health fabric of how do we take very
- 25:58- disparate datasets
- 26:00- and combine them together and be able to
- 26:02- show
- 26:03- actionable insights and value opportunities
- 26:05- across the various different users of that platform.
- 26:09- Again, that's both that internal team and the
- 26:11- external facing conversation. So it could be the
- 26:15- data analysts. It could be your clinical teams,
- 26:17- providers,
- 26:18- reporting teams,
- 26:20- sales and account management,
- 26:22- even brokers and your employer customers.
- 26:24- Having that access to a
- 26:27- single source of truth so that everybody is
- 26:29- kind of speaking from the same page and
- 26:31- telling the same story across your entire enterprise.
- 26:34- That's what that flexible platform allows you to
- 26:36- do, even across different lines of business. You
- 26:39- heard Tricia mentioned the Medicare Advantage.
- 26:41- So a really good example of how you
- 26:43- can expand from a commercial into,
- 26:46- an MA line of business.
- 26:48- Second is that partnership model. I talked a
- 26:50- little bit before about why that is so
- 26:52- important.
- 26:53- I'm not gonna go and rehash a lot
- 26:55- of that other than, you know, there are
- 26:56- a variety of different types of opportunities
- 27:00- available. And if you have those opportunities and
- 27:02- you happen to be a medi customer, we
- 27:04- welcome to, have that conversation with you of
- 27:07- where do you see some needs from a
- 27:08- reporting perspective or quite frankly, anything else from
- 27:11- analytics perspective.
- 27:13- And I think third is just that change
- 27:14- in the operating model a little bit.
- 27:17- You know, when when it comes to reporting,
- 27:19- I can remember back to when I was
- 27:21- an account manager back in my early twenties.
- 27:24- You know, I would order a 60 page
- 27:26- three ring binder report, and it would be
- 27:28- left behind as part of a renewal conversation.
- 27:31- That
- 27:32- approach still kinda holds true for the most
- 27:34- part where we have static reports and PDFs
- 27:37- and PowerPoints and whatnot.
- 27:39- They're used to supplement the conversation versus drive
- 27:43- the conversation.
- 27:44- And that's what I mean by shifting an
- 27:45- operating model. So as an account manager or
- 27:48- a broker,
- 27:49- I now can go from that static report
- 27:52- into something that is more dynamic. So if
- 27:54- there are
- 27:55- questions as to why is that happening and
- 27:57- how impactful that might be, utilizing
- 28:01- a dynamic tool where I can drill into
- 28:03- that detail, use different types of filters to
- 28:05- slice and dice that information
- 28:07- to help,
- 28:09- you know, take that conversation
- 28:10- forward
- 28:12- in the immediate time when the conversation is
- 28:14- happening and getting to what those recommendations are
- 28:17- a little bit different of an operating model
- 28:19- than what you would typically would see before.
- 28:22- So for payer leaders, this this doesn't necessarily
- 28:25- need to be like a massive transformation.
- 28:27- It's taking
- 28:28- the the examples of what we have on
- 28:30- the right hand slide and trying them out
- 28:33- over time and doing a test and learn
- 28:35- approach.
- 28:36- This isn't a major transformation
- 28:39- of going from, you know, how do you
- 28:40- go from descriptive analytics to proactive and prescriptive
- 28:43- analytics?
- 28:44- It's more so how do we constantly look
- 28:46- for those?
- 28:48- How do we look for and identify those
- 28:50- opportunities
- 28:51- and then put forth a meaningful intervention
- 28:53- to create value
- 28:55- from that program?
- 28:57- So,
- 28:58- I think from this point, the competitive advantage
- 29:00- is not really the report itself.
- 29:03- It's the stronger
- 29:04- decision and stronger client relationship that that the
- 29:08- report can enable
- 29:10- by being dynamic and being more proactive in
- 29:12- what it is showing.
- 29:14- Okay, let's go ahead and go on to
- 29:17- the next slide, please.
- 29:19- Let's talk a little bit about what's next.
- 29:22- I think probably everybody that's listening to this
- 29:24- has talked about AI in some form today,
- 29:28- or has some type of AI strategy in
- 29:30- place or going and looking at how AI
- 29:32- can make this better.
- 29:34- And personally, I'm very excited for what is
- 29:36- coming next from METI when it comes to,
- 29:39- artificial intelligence.
- 29:41- So there's a couple of things that we've
- 29:42- listed here on the slide.
- 29:44- They make sense when you start getting into
- 29:46- the detail of what exactly is a native
- 29:48- AI agent. And in reality, that is an,
- 29:51- a tool to help you mine and look
- 29:53- across all that data that we have available
- 29:56- for you. How do I help drive that
- 29:58- actionable insight
- 30:00- very quickly and very efficient
- 30:03- efficiently
- 30:04- regardless as to what the education or the
- 30:06- skill level is of the individual user.
- 30:09- So being able to identify,
- 30:11- investigate,
- 30:12- explain, and develop new insights,
- 30:15- utilizing those native AI agents and reporting
- 30:18- is kind of that that next stage of
- 30:20- where everything is going.
- 30:22- If you go and take that same native
- 30:24- AI agent or the agentic agent and
- 30:27- and combine that with workflow,
- 30:29- now you can start to surface insights that
- 30:32- you didn't even know were existing within your
- 30:34- data because there's so much data out there.
- 30:37- You don't get lost in the blue sea.
- 30:39- You find those little beacons of light and
- 30:41- opportunity very easily. So we can help you
- 30:43- surface those insights
- 30:45- that you did not know existed
- 30:47- and manage them through a predefined and approved
- 30:49- workflow process. Again, leveraging AI agents for speed,
- 30:54- and effect effectiveness.
- 30:56- And finally,
- 30:57- looking at predictive insights, you know, continuing that
- 31:00- shift from retro to prospective and eventually
- 31:04- more so into prescriptive.
- 31:07- Having a hard time saying that word today.
- 31:09- That is that next
- 31:10- best action
- 31:11- that we've talked about a couple of different
- 31:13- times.
- 31:14- And so really that AI enables individual users
- 31:17- to truly operate,
- 31:19- at the top of their abilities through that
- 31:21- self-service
- 31:21- analysis and reporting capability.
- 31:25- So
- 31:26- in closing, I'd like to again thank everyone
- 31:28- for your time today.
- 31:29- Hopefully you've learned at least one or two
- 31:32- different things and ideas or thoughts that you
- 31:34- can take forward and you found the information
- 31:37- very informative and helpful.
- 31:39- I'd also like to say a special thanks
- 31:40- again to Becker's for hosting this today's session
- 31:43- and Tricia for her overall partnership from Highmark
- 31:46- and sharing some real life examples.
- 31:48- And at this point, I'll go ahead and
- 31:50- turn it back over to Crystal to close
- 31:51- this out.
- 31:53- That is all the time we have for
- 31:54- today. I want to thank David and Tricia
- 31:56- for an excellent presentation as well as MediAnalytics
- 31:59- for sponsoring today's webinar. Thank you for joining
- 32:02- us today, and we hope you have a
- 32:03- wonderful rest of your day.
